Chapter 7: The Omnitrix's Cure

"Argh… my body… it hurts… what happened?" Rex questioned while groaning out in pain. It felt like his entire body was squashed by several full-grown vaxasaurians while he was in human form. He hasn't felt this bad in a long time. Not since his first fight with Vilgax. Blinking his eyes to focus and get a better feel of his surroundings. Rex then realized he's on a bed, but it wasn't his bed.

It felt way different than his bed since it was a lot harder. Not to mention when he looked at the ceiling, Rex realized he was in some sort of inn. Obviously, he's not on gramps anymore. So, if he wasn't on his grandfather, then where was he? After a few seconds, Rex realizes that he couldn't move his arms and takes a look at the reason he found out why.

Rex looked to his side and blushed a bit as he sees the sleeping form of Pyra. The redhead was wrapping her arms around his entire body while pinning his arms against himself. Her face looked so beautiful from his position, and not only that. But he could also feel her breasts pressing up against his side.

Rex was about to wake her up, but he stopped himself. This was the closest he's gotten with Pyra ever since their first kiss, and right now, the alien hero just wants to enjoy this. It might make him look like a creep and a pervert, but he hasn't been this close to Pyra for days. Can't he be selfish for this one time? After everything he's been through, he just wants this special moment with Pyra.

Thinking about the Aegis's wellbeing Rex realizes he can't be selfish. That's not the kind of guy he is. He would be betraying Pyra's trust if he only thought of himself. So, with a heavy heart, Rex tries to shake himself out of Pyra's grip.

The constant shaking was enough to wake Pyra up as she let out a small yawn before blinking. Once the Aegis notices Rex was awake, she could only stare at him.

Several seconds pass and Rex starts to feel a bit self-conscious from all her staring, so he nervously asks. "Um, morning? It's morning, right?"

"Rex!" Pyra suddenly exclaims as she pushes his face into her chest and hugs him like a lifeline.

"MMMPH!" Rex mumbled out loud from his face being stuffed by Pyra's chest. His face lights up aflame from the combination of the Aegis's hug and her soft chest.

Her breasts were so soft. Even with her armour, Rex could still feel the squishiness of her chest. The softness causes Rex to relax and close his eyes. 'Ahh. This feels nice,' the salvager thought in bliss.

Rex was by no means a pervert, but even he can't deny Pyra has a really hot body, both literally and figuratively. He could feel the smooth skin on her arms, and he could only imagine the softness of her butt that's pressing against the bed.

'Oh, by the celestialsapiens, am I turning into a pervert!? If I am, Corrine's going to have my head!' he thought, horrified. His aunt taught him to always be kind and gentle with girls, especially beautiful ones.

Pyra was so immersed in hugging her Driver it took the voice in her head to snap her out of it.

'Pyra! Look at what you're doing!'

Blinking her eyes, the scarlet girl then looks down to Rex, who begins to nuzzle his face against her chest. Immediately turning bright red at the inappropriate behaviour, she lets go of Rex and pushes him out of the bed while letting a shriek.

"Kyaaaah!"

"Wha!? AAAHHHHH!?"

"OUCH!" both of them said at the same time.

Rex screams out in pain with Pyra as he falls onto the ground on his back and head. Groaning out in pain, he thought. 'Ok… maybe I deserved that one.' Thankfully, his spine was ok, but he was feeling dizzy from the fall.

"Ah," Pyra lets out a slight hiss of pain as she feels Rex's damage through their link. Rubbing her head to soothe the dizziness, she then realizes she hurt Rex. Gaining a look of horror on her face, Pyra quickly ran to Rex's side and pulled him up.

"Rex! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you!"

Chuckling to himself at Pyra's apology, Rex just grins sheepishly and slaps a hand on Pyra's shoulder while saying. "Eh, it's okay. I kind of deserved it. Anyway… um where are we and where's gramps?"

"Oh! We're in Fonsa Myma inside the Uraya Titan." Pyra explained while rubbing her head, trying to soothe the pain. "As for Azurda, he's waiting for us at the port. Don't worry, I already paid."

Rex became confused at this. "Wait, why are we in Uraya? What happened while I was knocked out?"

Pyra bit her lip before sighing and explaining to him everything that happened. Apparently, after he was knocked out, gramps tried to fly away from Ophion, but in their escape, the Uraya titan appeared out of nowhere and nearly swallowed them.

Thankfully gramps managed to fly away just right before the titan managed to eat them. Seeing they needed a place for the alien hero to rest and recover. Azurda flew to Fonsa Myma and docked at the port. Everyone else immediately took him to the inn for him to sleep, and he's been out for about a day.

Before Rex could say anything, Pyra buried her face into his arms, sniffling. "What were you thinking, Rex?" she put her arms around him, hugging him tightly. "You made us all worry so much. What did you hope to accomplish back there?"

Rex took a second to process what Pyra meant, and he hugged her back as he answered her. "Sorry for worrying you all," he apologized. "I realized that thing… Ophion was it?"

Pyra nods to his question. "Anyway, after realizing that thing was a machine, I decided to use Upgrade. He's… um… a form that can take control of technology and upgrade it. What I didn't expect was for Ophion to be that big. And when I was in the process of controlling him. His self-defence systems activated and electrocuted me and the rest's history, I guess." he explained sheepishly while grinning.

What he didn't expect was for Pyra to remove herself from him with a glare on her face. "Rex, that was foolish. Ophion isn't just some machine. He's my artifice, the divine weapon of an Aegis. When he didn't listen to my commands, we should've ran." Pyra scolded him while still glaring at him sternly.

Rex was taken aback by Pyra's uncharacteristic attitude. This wasn't like her, was what he did wrong? Swallowing his nervousness from Pyra's glare, he tries to explain. "I'm sorry, Pyra, I just thought we were so close to Elysium back there. And I also promised that I would help you reach there no matter what. I also care for you, Pyra."

Pyra's face softens at that. "Rex," she whispered. She felt touched at Rex's words but guilty too. The salvager didn't know her real purpose of reaching Elysium. The scarlet Aegis wanted to ask her father to kill her. But the more Rex cared for her, the more she wanted to be with him. A part of her is disgusted at herself for taking advantage of him.

Pyra knew over the last few days, she's been avoiding Rex, and he's been hurting over that. And to make matters worse, she thinks she made him love her. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. She planned to let Rex fulfill his dream of saving Alrest, and then they would leave him. But if she left him now. He would only get hurt in the end.

She also liked Rex too. But maybe it would be best if she didn't respond to his feelings. If she left it alone, then perhaps Rex would love someone else. 'That's just wishful thinking, Pyra,' the scarlet Aegis thought to herself. She knew that wouldn't work, and it wasn't right too.

Trying to maintain her usual expression, Pyra smiled at Rex and said. "Thank you, Rex. Why don't you see Nia, Tora and Poppi? They're worried about you too."

"Oh… um sure," Rex replied while standing up. He was making his way towards the door but stopped realizing Pyra wasn't moving. "Aren't you coming with me, Pyra?" he asked, a bit confused.

Still having that fake smile on her face. "No, I'll come later… I'm just a bit tired" she lied.

"Oh um. Say I haven't taken a shower yet. How about I take one right now, and we go to them after we're done?"

Pyra looked surprised at that, but she bit the inside of her cheeks a bit to think before nodding at Rex's request.

As she watches Rex go inside the bathroom to shower, she immediately asks Mythra in her head. 'Where were you? I've been trying to contact you the last couple of days."

'I… just had something to do, no big deal.'

'What? What could you have to do? You were in the mindscape the entire time.'

'Hey, I just had something to do, and that's that. Anyway, I see you enjoyed letting Rex stuff his face into your chest.'

Pyra blushes at that embarrassing moment, but she persists with an answer from Mythra. Don't try to change the subject you haven't spoken to me ever since… since Rex's promise.' Pyra realized.

Of course, it was so obvious. Rex's words didn't just touch her. They touched Mythra, too, and they probably meant more to her counterpart since she actually fought in the war 500 years ago. Not to mention the blonde Aegis did nothing to stop her from kissing Rex, which means.

'Mythra are… are you in lo-'

'Don't you dare finish that sentence, Pyra!' Mythra snaps at Pyra, preventing her from finishing her words. 'I don't love him. That's you! You were the one who kissed him and enjoyed it!'

'But we share the same memories and intentions, meaning if one of us loves him, then the other does too. Please don't lie to me, Mythra.' Pyra begs while blushing from the mention of the kiss. It was definitely the happiest moment of her life, and she wanted to feel like that again.

'I-I-I ugh! Fine, I think I love him. You happy!? This wasn't supposed to happen. How did this even happen?!' Mythra questioned while letting out a scream of rage.

Really how did Rex manage to charm them after only a few days? Wait a minute, not even a few days. He made them fall in love with him in about a day. How does that work?

Pyra lets out a soft smile at that. She felt glad that Mythra found love just like she is right now. Love was the emotion that both of the Aegis girls wanted to know and feel. If that wonderful feeling Rex gave them was love then Pyra wanted more of it.

Pyra lets out a small laugh as she thoughtfully replies. ' I guess that's just the type of person Rex is easy to love isn't that right?'

Rex was so easy to love for both of them but why? What made Rex so endearing to them. Was it his power? With that Omnitrix of his, Rex was extremely powerful. No, it wasn't his power. Both of them knew it was something else.

Was it his looks then? Rex looked and acted so cute at times. When he transformed into a gormotti, he was so adorable in both of their eyes. If Rex had a nopon form, Pyra's sure both she and Mythra can't hold themselves back from squeezing him. But as cute as he was or how cute he could become, the Aegis girls aren't shallow to like someone based on looks. So what was it then?

After several seconds Pyra came to the answer. It was Rex's kind and caring nature. After hearing how he saved Tora and helped him accomplish his dream. Pyra knew that Rex was a kind person. When he promised to protect her, it also showed Pyra how much he cared for her despite barely knowing her. The more Rex cared for her, the more she found herself attracted to him.

That wonderful feeling too. Whenever both girls were around Rex, they felt it. Both of them loved that feeling, and both of them instinctively knew it was love.

Mythra goes through the same thought process that Pyra had, and she hesitantly asks. 'So… we...love him, huh.'

'Yes, we do,' Pyra confirmed while holding a hand up to her beating chest.

'What do we do then? Do we tell him, or do we stay silent about this? Rex looked like he loved us too.'

Frowning to herself, Pyra takes a few moments to come up with an answer. She knew that Rex was attracted to her. 'We love him, but we're not the only ones. Nia does, too, you noticed the way she looks at Rex right?'

'Course I did! Only a blind idiot wouldn't have seen it… and Rex is that blind idiot.'

Pyra chuckles at that description of Rex. The idea of Rex knowing what love is. But is unable to tell if someone loved him back was funny to the crimson Aegis.

'Anyway, we should tell Rex a straightforward answer later… I also don't mind sharing him with Nia.'

'W-w-what?! Sharing him! Are you sure, Pyra?'

Pyra nods softly at that. 'Yes, It wouldn't be fair to Nia if we hogged Rex all to ourselves. Plus, I think Rex has enough love in his heart for multiple girls. We also can't give Rex a family can we?' Pyra thought sadly.

'Well… I guess you're right, especially about the family part. But what about our… desire to die? Are we still going to leave Rex?'

Pyra shakes her head at Myhtra's question. 'I don't know. I want to stay with Rex, but I still feel like the world is better off without us. I just don't know anymore. I was hoping you had the answer.'

'I… don't have an answer. But I want to be closer to Rex too. So let's be with him for now and see how it goes. But we can't tell him about our desire to die if we stay with him. I don't want him to hate us.'

It was selfish not to tell Rex about their desire to die. But if they wanted to stay with him, he can't know about it. If he did, then he might hate the both of them for using him like that. The thought of Rex hating both of them caused the Aegis girls' hearts to strain.

'Oh, by the way, Rex is almost done showering. Better be ready soon.'

Outside of the inn at Fonsa Myma

Rex explained to Nia, Dromarch, Tora and Poppi what he was trying to do to Ophion at the World tree before he got knocked out. With Pyra wearing her gormotti cloak as a disguise, so people don't recognize her as the Aegis. And Rex himself wearing a green and blue jacket with the number 10 on his left side to hide his core crystal when realizing he would need a disguise too.

Nia only gave Rex a flat stare at hearing his explanation. "Seriously trying to control that monster. Are you that daft Rex?"

Tora was jumping up and down in pure excitement. "Meh-meh-meh Tora never knew giant snake monster was machine. Tora would love to see schematics on it." The idea of Ophion being built by someone really tickled the genius nopon's brain.

Poppi looks down at Tora and tilts her head confusedly. "Masterpon, what would you do with such plans?"

The little Nopon looked up at Poppi in excitement. "Meh-meh Tora would use plans to increase Poppi's battle data so Poppi can be an even stronger sidekick."

Dromarch coughs to get everyone's attention so they could get back on the topic at hand. When he does, the tiger asks Rex. "Well, we're all glad that you're okay, master Rex but how do you propose to get past that thing? Do you have another method that could deal with it.?" the tiger disguises Rex's transformations using the word method instead of transformation.

At this question, Rex looks down in thought. That thing Ophion, even If Rex wasn't able to take it, over as Upgrade. He was able to find some valuable data concerning it. Data that could help them bypass it.

Of course, he could also use Way Big to fight it. But the problem was Way Big would have to swim while fighting it, and that wouldn't be easy.

Looking at the group Rex tells them his plan. "I have a better idea. When I tried to take over Ophion, I found out it has a control unit called the Omega Fetter. Whatever that is. Pyra, do you know what it is?"

Pyra gained a look of surprise on her face as she answered Rex's question. "The Omega Fetter is a device I used to communicate with Ophion. But I don't know where it is. Sorry, Rex."

The entire group sighs in disappointment at that. They have no idea what to do next. If they couldn't control Ophion and fight it then how could they get past it?

"Well, well. It sounds like you had a troubling time." An old voice said, catching the group's attention.

Turning to the voice, they all see an old man with short light brown hair and a scar covering half his face. The man also wore a cloak covering his entire body and a hood covering most of his face.

The old man smiles warmly at the group or, more specifically at Pyra. "Hello, there, my name is Cole." the old man introduced himself. "So I hear you lot were trying to get past that thing to reach the World Tree?"

Rex, however, is a bit wary of the man. "Maybe why?" he answered in a stern voice. It seems a bit too weird that someone would come and ask them about their little incident with Ophion out of the blue.

Cole lets a light chuckle at Rex's hostility unfazed by it. "Well, I happen to know a guy who climbed the World Tree. If you want, I might be able to help you." the old man offered.

This was way too good to be true, in Rex's opinion. After they failed to reach the World Tree, someone just happened to have the answer for them? Life doesn't work like that, so what does this man want?

"What's the catch," Rex asked tensely, on guard in case a fight were to happen. His hands were ready to reach the Omnitrix for battle.

Shaking his head, Cole said to Rex. "Now now, boy. No need for all that hostile energy. As for my catch, I want you to spend some money to see my play. The theatre doesn't make much so I could use the extra gold."

Rex was still on guard from this supposedly old man. He could tell that this Cole was way more than he seemed. The sheer amount of wisdom and experience in his eyes also catches his attention. The only beings the Omnitrix wielder knew that could have more knowledge than this man can be counted on one hand.

Sensing her Driver's tension, Pyra puts a hand on Rex's shoulder, causing him to look at her. "Rex, it's okay. I sense no harmful intent from him. We can trust him." Pyra told her Driver while looking at the man. Even after 500 years, Pyra knew who this man was.

Reluctantly Rex lowered his guard. He trusts Pyra's judgement, but if this guy does anything funny, then Rex is going full Rath on him.

Cole nods thankfully to Pyra as he turns around and calls to the group. "Well, come on. My show will start soon. It tells the story of Addam, the hero and the Aegis war. You can come to see me after my show."

seeing Cole leaving for the theatre in Fonsa Myma, Rex turns around to his friends and asks. "Okay, what do you guys think should we go?"

Nia just crosses her arms as she answers. "Well, we don't have any other leads, and this guy's our best bet, so what choice do we have?" She then walks towards the theatre, following Cole. And with that, the rest of the group goes with her.

Inside the theatre of Fonsa Myma

The play was interesting, in Rex's opinion. But now that he thought about it. This may have been a bad idea. Looking to his right, he sees Pyra staring intently at the play. Upon seeing the look upon her face, Rex mentally kicked himself in the head. Pyra had memories of the Aegis war, and now they're watching a play version of the war?

Honestly, how did he not see this coming? How could he be so insensitive to her feelings? Seeing the look in Pyra's eyes, Rex could see that this play brought up some bad memories for the girl he loves. He didn't want this. He didn't want her to suffer more. Not when we could help her.

Raising his hand, Rex taps Pyra on the shoulder, getting her attention. "Hey," he whispered, so the play was undisturbed. "We can leave if you want. I'm sorry for not thinking about you. This play obviously brought back some bad memories. I'm really sorry" they shouldn't even have come to this play in the first place. What if it's a trap for Pyra?

Pyra looks at Rex surprised by his offer, but a second passes, and she shakes her head. "It's okay, Rex… this play also brings back some good memories. You don't have to worry about me."

Rex hesitantly nods to the Red Aegis, but a part of him wants to go XLR8 and take Pyra and all his friends out of here. But Nia had a point earlier. They couldn't bypass Ophion with brute for, so this guy Cole was their best bet.

"Oh, Architect! Our world is on the brink of destruction. The forces of darkness are threatening to consume all of Alrest! By your merciful light, grant me the power to defeat the darkness!"

Upon hearing those lines, Rex refocuses back to the play. He saw the actor who plays Addam call upon the Architect's blessing to save Alrest. The blessing came in the form of the Aegis… but it wasn't Pyra who descended from the heavens. No, this Aegis had blonde hair and white clothes.

This confused Rex. Wasn't Pyra the Aegis? Didn't she fight alongside Addam 500 years ago? Suddenly, Rex brings up his hand to his head as he feels an intense headache. It was as if someone was slamming a hammer down on his head repeatedly. The Omnitrix wielder could barely make any thoughts. It's like his mind was being ripped in two.

But focusing his attention on the blonde Aegis Rex could make out one name in his head through his intense headache. "Mythra?". Images of a girl ran through his mind. She had Pyra's face, but it was sterner, and she looked like the Aegis on the stage. Where did that name come from? And why does it feel like he should know it?

In the office of the theatre.

"Well, how did you like my play? Was it enjoyable?"

In the small office, Cole asked Rex and his friends if they enjoyed the play or not. After the play was done, the gang decided to see Cole looking for answers on how to reach the World Tree.

Rex, whose headache was finally gone, answered. "It… was nice, but why did you want to see us specifically?" Does Cole tell every single person on how to get to the World Tree?

Cole smiles warmly at Rex and Pyra while saying. "It's been 500 years since I've seen a friend of mine after so many of them have passed away through the ravages of time. It's so good to see you, Pyra."

Stepping forward, Pyra smiles as she greets her old friend. "And it's good to see you too, Minoth.'' She was so happy to see a friend of hers from the past still alive even if he looked like he had better days.

Cole looked at the group with a fond expression on his face. "Minoth… that's a name I haven't heard in a long time."

Nia looks at Pyra with a confused look. "Wait, Pyra, you know this guy from 500 years ago?"

Tora looks at Minoth in astonishment. "Meh-meh-meh Tora never knew humans could live for so long!"

Cole, however, shook his head at the nopon. Raising his hand to his cloak, the old man tugged it down to show the group what was on his chest, and the answer shocked all of them, especially Nia.

On Cole's chest was a core crystal. But unlike the typical blue colour Cole's was a mix of blue with pink splotches on them. This wasn't like a normal Blade's core at all, and it wasn't like Pyra's emerald crystal either.

Looking down to his crystal, Cole answered Tora. "I'm not a human little nopon. I'm a flesh-eater. Hundreds of years ago, mankind sought immortality and power from Blades by fusing us with human cells. But in the end, I was a failure, and all I've gained is loss. My immortality is gone, and I've only grown weaker with age."

Upon hearing that, everyone could only feel pity for Cole. They never knew that this gentleman had gone through such a procedure. He's lost everything that made a Blade special, yet he was still willing to help them. Nia, in particular, feels bad for him the most.

Cole then looks at Rex and pulls out a small dagger from his cloak, and hands it over to the Omnitrix wielder, who accepts it. "Young man, I can tell that you are Pyra's Driver. I did not expect you to be so young, but the look in your eyes tells me you have seen much more than anyone should at your age. I'm deeply sorry for what has ever happened to you. Take this weapon to my Driver he is in Indol. He was the one who climbed the World Tree, and he knows the answer on how to get past that beast. Is your desire Elysium? If it is, then I wish prosperity on your journey."

Looking down at the weapon, Rex realizes this dagger had a small crystal, which means it's a blade weapon or, more specifically, it was Cole's due to the crystal being the same colour as the one on the man's chest.

Seeing the old man's pained expression, Rex feels like a jerk for being so rude to him earlier. Even with how hostile the Omnitrix wielder was to him earlier. Cole still sought to help them and even wished a safe journey for all of them. There has to be something he can do to help the scriptwriter. But what can Rex do? Cole said he's a Blade fused with human cells. 'Wait… human cells. Cells have DNA in them. Then maybe'. It was a long shot, but if Rex's idea worked, he might be able to save Cole.

Looking up to Cole, Rex asks him. "Hey, Cole, do you mind if I look at your crystal? I may be able to help." Upon hearing this, Rex's friends look at him in surprise. Did Rex have a form that could help Cole's condition?

Cole had a look of surprise at hearing Rex's words, and he sighs. "Go ahead, my boy. But I must warn you no medicine in Alrest can heal me. I'm a man who's doomed to die very soon with no cure." Cole decided to humour Rex because at this point, look what else did the old Blade have left to lose?

Having Cole's permission, Rex raises his left hand with the Omnitrix and brings it up to Cole's core crystal. "Then it's a good thing my cure isn't from Alrest." He said with a smile before asking his Omnitrix. "Omnitrix scan Cole for damaged DNA."

The Omnitrix's core popped out with that command, and a green light emerged from the Omnitrix. The light scans Cole's entire body and down, and when it was finished scanning, the Omnitrix said. "Subject known has Cole has damaged DNA. Would you like to repair the damaged DNA?"

Smiling at those words, Rex responds. "Yes, repair damaged DNA."

The Omnitrix emitted a green flash with Rex's permission, causing everyone to shield their eyes from the watch's light. It took several seconds, but eventually, the light died down, allowing everyone to reopen their eyes. And what greets them shocked all of them.

Cole's core crystal was no longer a blue and pink crystal. But a Purple Crystal that was thumping like heart full of life. The flesh-eater looked healthier too. Some colour returned to the man's face almost as if his life force was restored.

The flesh-eater himself had a shocked look on his face as he said surprised. "I-I-I no longer feel any pain. I feel stronger too. I haven't felt this good since 500 years ago." Cole looks down to his Core crystal in shock as he sees the colour had changed. Taking several seconds to process this massive change, the old man looks at Rex and asks him. "Boy, who no what are you?"

Before Rex could respond, his Omnitrix turns from green to yellow as its core spins around. "Un-catalogued DNA detected. Scanning" after finishing those words, the Omnitrix scans Cole again, but this time with a yellow light. When it was finished scanning, the Omnitrix proclaimed. "Unknown DNA sample acquired. Scan complete".

Rex looks down at his Omnitrix in shock before grinning at Cole as he cheekily responds. "My name is Rex, and I'm a hero." The Omnitrix wielder was glad that his Idea worked. As a bonus, he gained a new form out of it.

Hey, sorry for being gone for a month. I got a job and a Dog, so it was difficult for me to find any time to write. You should probably get used to this. I will try to write when I have time. But expect updates to take about half a month to a month from now on.

Also, I have a few questions. What exactly are elementary Particles? We know Jin can manipulate them. But do they just accelerate his body to light speed. If that's just it, then Rex has these forms that can deal with him.

Way Big

Clockwork

XLR8

Gravattack

Alien X (if he could control it)

As you can also see from this chapter, the Omnitrix is capable of "repairing" Flesh-eaters. When it repairs them, they turn into what I call a perfect flesh-eater. As you can see from the perfect fusion of the crystal itself (Red blood cells plus blue core crystal equals purple crystal.) The perfect Flesh-eaters also gain the best of both worlds. They have the freedom of a human being and the Immortality of a Blade (they can only die by combat i.e. destroying their cores and brains).

Rex has also gained a flesh-eater form too! It didn't scan Cole, and you know who earlier, because Cole needed to become a perfect flesh-eater first, so his DNA was healthy for the Omnitrix to scan.

So I'm open to ideas for Rex flesh-eater form's name, power, and design. You guys could control my story so go wild!

Now I'm tired it's 2:00 am where I'm at. If the grammar is bad I'll just edit it tomorrow. Does anyone want to become my beta reader?

Anyway, I'm answering the fanfiction questions down here from a request.

Redburningdragon: Yeah upgrade's tech possession can be argued. But for the sake of my story, Rex can't possess Ophion unless its defence systems are down. That's also an excellent theory for Coffee with Milk's reality-warping no wonder it seemed so limited in the game's cutscenes.

Shadow Joestar: Yeah, Rex couldn't exactly save Mor Ardain in time, so he needed a literal deus ex machina to save it. The Ardainians owe Rex a big one.

SomerandomHuman: Ok, I won't Retcon my previous events, and I had no Idea the code name Catalyst Scimitar existed huh, you learn something every day.

Fangs of death: Thanks

Guest: Interesting choice
