Chapter 8: Saber

"So are you going to tell us what the hell you just did to Cole or not, Rex?"

Currently, the group is in an empty back alley of Fonsa Myma. The reason for this is because after Rex healed Cole. All of his friends started bugging him about what he did to the flesh-eater and how he turned his core crystal purple. Rex said he would answer their questions but only in a secluded area.

Although they found a place to talk, Rex felt very pressured by all of the stares he was getting from everyone else. He knew he should've told them the Omnitrix's function not only to repair DNA but to scan new uncatalogued DNA. But if the bearer of the Omnitrix were to list all of the functions, it would take too long. So, it was just better to tell them about the functions as they came up.

Unknown to Rex, one of his friends, in particular, had a special reason to learn what he did to Cole, and it was Nia.

Letting out a nervous smile, Rex barely managed to let out. "Okay, okay, I'll explain. Just give me some space. I can barely breathe like this." he was right too. Everyone one of his friends was ignoring the rule of personal space.

After hearing that, everyone took a step back away from Rex. Which allowed the salvager to take a deep breath he didn't know he needed. Getting his senses before he tells his friends. "Ok, what I did to Cole was basically repaired his damaged genetic code, his DNA, you could say."

Hearing Rex's explanation, Nia could only ask. "What? But Blades don't have DNA." she should know she used to be a full Blade herself.

"Yeah, Blades may not have DNA, but humans do," Rex told Nia before expanding his explanation. "When Cole told us that he was infused with human cells, it got me thinking. Cells have DNA in them, and the way Cole explained his situation sounded like his human cells were damaged, so with the Omnitrix's DNA repair function, viola Cole's DNA was healed. But, the purple core crystal was a surprise, though."

Tora scratches his head in confusion. "Meh-meh-meh Tora still not get it. Rex-Rex should learn better biology so he can explain better."

Hearing Tora's criticism Rex gets a bit self-conscious. "H-hey, It's not my fault!. I didn't build this thing. I just use it, and nothing is wrong with my knowledge of biology. I just don't know what flesh-eaters are." he defended.

Rex admits that he wasn't the most brilliant guy around. But part of his training with Azmuth and Tetrax was his education. Sure he didn't meet their standards, but the salvager knows basic mechanics to some knowledge of biology and physics. So he may not be a genius, but he wasn't dumb either.

Seeing as they're getting nowhere with what happened to Cole from Rex. Nia decided to ask him the next thing on her mind. "Ok, so you don't know what you did. But what was that second thing, you know the yellow light and the Omnitrix saying it scanned Cole, what was that?" She asked curiously.

Hearing Nia's question, Rex's face lit up as he answered. "Oh, that! That's the Omnitrix's scan function. Whenever it comes across a new and uncatalogued species that are not within its databanks the Omnitrix automatically scans that species and stores its DNA for me to use later. Meaning I can turn into what Cole was a flesh-eater."

"Turn… into a flesh-eater?" Nia said in shock at the idea of Rex turning into the same species as her.

Rex then activated his Omnitrix, cycling through his forms for his new form while saying. "Actually, I'm kinda curious what my flesh-eater form is like. Let's see… nope, not him that's toepick don't want to use him here. Ah hah! Found it!" slamming down on the core, a bright flash appears, forcing everyone to shield their eyes.

"Mhm, not bad. I can feel the ether in the atmosphere, so it's kind of like Chromastone. I think I'm a dark element too. It feels like ghostfreak when I still had him. Now all this guy needs is a cool name… I got it, Saber! That's a cool name, and wait... I-i-is blade clothing meant to be this revealing!?." The now named Saber shrieked in embarrassment.

When the light died down, it revealed an aged-up Rex. He looks like he's in his 20's and he was taller too. Before, Rex was just tall enough to reach over Pyra's eyes. Now, however, it's been reversed. Pyra was just tall enough to reach his eyes and his voice deeper as well.

The reason for Saber's freakout was about his clothing or the lack of it. He still had pant's but his upper body was mostly uncovered. Sure he had a sash covering his upper body, but that was the only thing covering it, and it barely covered anything at all! Allowing everyone to see his tight six-pack and chiselled chest, which had the Omnitrix symbol on it, which was now purple in colour like Cole's new core crystal. The Aegis core crystal is still green above it.

Powers and abilities: Immortality (through age), ether generation, ether manipulation, weapon generation, elemental control ( depends on the Blade), accelerated healing, enhanced speed, strength, durability and flexibility.

Description: A combination of Judicium's attempt for immortality by fusing Blades with human cells and the Omnitrix's DNA repair function. These perfect flesh-eaters are an idea the old country of biotech could only hope to accomplish in their dreams. By balancing the ratio of the human DNA and the Blade data, these new flesh-eaters can be considered a subspecies of the human race and Blades. The relationship between the human DNA and Blade's data now share a symbiotic relationship with one another. The Blade data supports and preserves the human DNA while the DNA offers the data a new ability to evolve, allowing the data to gain new abilities. The lifespan of a perfect flesh-eater is infinite as well due to the human cells no longer degrading thanks to the Blade data preserving it. As another benefit, they can also produce their own ether by turning their own stamina into it. Due to their perfect ratio balance, perfect flesh-eaters can also reproduce.

LV 3 Special (NRG Meltdown): Radiation is emitted but contained from the sword and can cut through the toughest of metals. (physical 4 hit attack. Target 1. Effect ignores 25-100% of the enemy's defence stats. While increases Aggro drawn from all enemies)

LV 4 Special (OmniBlade): tapping into the Omnitrix's power source. A pillar of pure energy erupts from the sword enveloping its enemies vaporizing them. (ether 7 hit attack. Target Aoe. Effect Draws all aggro from every enemy and keeps all aggro for 2 minutes, and damage is increased by 75% for each enemy on the field.)

LV 5 Special (Celestial Sword): Only possible with Coffee and Milk. With their strong bond, the two can call upon the celestialsapien power as a sword and can even cut through the 5th dimension itself, with its power warping reality to a minimal degree. (ether 1 hit attack—target 1. Effect deals ⅓ of the enemy's original HP as damage while ignoring all of its defence stats by 100%. Inflicts the enemy with a break, topple, launch and smash )

Omni Adaptability: Lets it become part of any blade combo route.

Temporal field: all enemies in the Area are inflicted with slow (attacks and arts take longer to activate.) by 75-150%

The will to protect: when at max affinity block rate is added to the original block rate by 10-35% to the entire party.

"Seriously! Guys how do I change my clothes!?" Saber yells out in shame as his face is blushing up a storm while trying to cover his body.

Currently, though everyone was still in shock at Rex's transformation into a flesh-eater. Well everyone but Pyra and Nia. The two of them were staring at Rex's chiselled chest with intense stares drinking in his entire muscular form.

Nia's eyes turned into slits as she unconsciously licked her lips as if she saw a giant fish right before her eyes. She was looking at Rex's very defined muscles while imagining just how hard they must be. Seriously you could grate cheese on those abs.

Pyra however had her face lit up by at least 100 degrees, and she quickly covered her eyes using her hands. However, it was a plain sight to see that she opened her hands slightly to peek at Rex's muscular form before Rex was the definition of a cute handsome type, in her opinion. But now? Now Rex was basically the masculine form of sexy and hot. The red Aegis enjoyed this form as much as Rex's original form.

'Humnah humnah' to make matters more embarrassing, she could hear Mythra mumbling at Rex's new appearance in her head as her sister also seemed to enjoy their Driver's new form.

"Guys! Please help me now! I don't want to be half-naked all the time!"

Tora, who was unaffected by Rex's near-naked state, just simply suggests. "Meh-meh Tora thinks maybe if Rex-Rex imagined clothing, then maybe clothing changed?" the nopon was scratching his head, hoping his advice would work.

Accepting Tora's advice, Rex closes his eyes and focuses his mind and taps into his new form's base instincts. Not many people may know this, but ever since, the Omnitrix recalibrated itself, fixing most of its bugs. A lot of its features were either restored or improved. One of those features was the data on how a new form works. Whenever he transforms into a new form, the base instincts of that form are automatically downloaded into his brain.

So, tapping into those base instincts, Rex manipulates the ether energy to construct himself new clothes.

A bright flash emerged from his body, and his new outfit fits him way better than his old one. His new clothes resembled a knight's, but the armour was kept to a minimum, so its weight didn't slow him down. The colour scheme was also his two favourite colours, green and blue. But what he was most thankful for was that this new armour covered up about 70-80% of his body (much to Nia, Pyra and Mythra's disappointment).

Looking down at himself, Rex grins as he exclaims excitedly. "Alright, this is more like it! Man, I look awesome."

"Still preferred your old outfit, though," Nia mumbled under her breath with only Pyra and Mythra hearing her, and both of them agreed.

After seeing his ability to manipulate his clothing Rex then focuses his instincts again to create his Blade weapon. From his Omnitrix, a purple flash emerges from the device and puts his hand into the light and pulls.

In Rex's hand was a weapon akin to his junk sword with a few key differences. The blade part was a bright emerald green colour, and unlike his old sword, there was no sign of rust or decay on the weapon. Smiling at the familiar sword, he does a few practice swings and confirms it's just like his old weapon.

"Well, I think this guy is going to be a helpful form on our journey. Say do you think I can fight like a Blade in this form?" Rex asked. He wants to know if he could act as support like how a Blade could support its Driver.

Nia bites her lip a bit before answering him. "I think so, but let's maybe try practicing that another day." though she knew the definite answer. Nia didn't want to answer it since that would make everyone question her on how she knew the answer.

Rex then looked up at the titan's translucent hide and saw it was dark, meaning nighttime. 'Perfect,' he thought.

"Say, guys. It's getting late. Why don't we head back to the inn?"

Everyone else then looks up and blinks at how late it was. Huh, I guess it was true time does fly when you're having fun. And hearing Rex explain himself was fun?

As the group begins to walk back, Rex moves next to Pyra and grabs her hand getting her attention. Leaning his face next to her ear Rex then whispers. "Hey, can we have a room together at the inn? There's something I want to ask you."

Rex and Pyra's room

It was a bit difficult to explain why they needed three rooms to the others. But Rex convinced them that he just wanted to talk to Pyra about the play, which wasn't a complete lie, but it wasn't the whole truth either.

Pyra settles down on the bed sitting on the edge, waiting for Rex's question. "So, what did you want to ask Rex?" the scarlet girl questioned with her head tilting in confusion which made her very cute in Rex's eyes.

Clearing his throat not to let himself get distracted, Rex then thought back to the play. When he saw Aegis in the theatre, the word no, the name Mythra appeared in his head along with a girl who looked so much like Pyra. Is his Blade hiding something from him? He knows that everyone has their secrets. But how did he get that name then, and where did it come from?

"Um, hey, Pyra, does the name Mythra mean anything to you?" Rex asks, hoping he wasn't going crazy from his earlier headache at the play.

Upon hearing Rex's question, Pyra's eyes widen in shock with a bit of horror behind them. How how did Rex learn about Mythra? This shouldn't be possible. There is no way he should be able to get that information from any but her or Torna, so how?

'H-h-how!? How did he find out about me!?' Mythra exclaims in shock inside Pyra's head.

Seeing the panic in Pyra's eyes made Rex nervous, and he quickly says. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to! I'm just curious, that's all. When I saw the blonde Aegis in the play, that name just appeared in my head along with the image of a girl who looks a lot like you." Oh, by the celestialsapiens, did he just make things worse by saying that?

Pyra is facing a dilemma right now. Just how did Rex find out about Mythra from seeing the play? Also, why did seeing that play let him know about her too? Questions can come later right now. She needs to deal with this. She didn't want to lie anymore to Rex, but the world should never suffer Mythra's power again.

However, while Pyra was still thinking on what to do, she got a shocking answer from Mythra. 'Pyra… just tell him.' the blonde Aegis reluctantly said.

'What!? Are you sure!?'

'I'm… sure. I kind of want to meet Rex myself. Try to see if you can bring him to our memory of Elysium. It would be easier to explain things there.'

'Is that even possible?'

'I don't know, maybe? I mean, you could try connecting to him more and bring him here, but I honestly don't know.'

Hearing Mythra's advice, Pyra began to think. Yes, it did make sense if you think about it. If the bond between Rex and them were to be closer, then, in theory, she may be able to bring Rex into her mind. But how to make their bond stronger?

Suddenly an embarrassing idea appeared in her mind. But it should work, right? Besides, she's already kissed Rex once before, so she can do it again.

Taking the first step, Pyra asks her Driver. "Rex," getting his attention on her, Pyra continues. "I'll explain everything, but the first thing you need to do is close you're eyes."

Rex gets a bit confused at that. Why in the Architect's name would he need to close his eyes for Pyra to tell him something? But trusting his partner, he closes his eyes and awaits for Pyra.

Taking a step forward towards him, Pyra begins to breathe hard. This may work by connecting with Rex. She can bring him to her mind. It's still embarrassing, though, to kiss Rex again. But this was a bond both she and Mythra craved for. And she believes that Rex is worth taking a leap of faith for.

Looking at Rex's expression with those innocent, defenceless lips also turned Pyra on a little. Gulping, she closes her own eyes and gently touches Rex's lips with her own.

"MMPPH"

Pyra heard Rex's shocked exclamation, and she can imagine the shocked expression on his face right now. But she wasn't going to let that stop her. Pouring all of her feelings into her kiss with Rex was what mattered to her right now.

Now that she was actually aware of kissing Rex. Pyra began to mimic what she did last time. Slowly she let her tongue enter Rex's mouth, which was opened probably from his shocked response earlier. Letting her tongue explore the insides of his mouth, the Aegis can't help but notice how… delicious Rex tasted.

As a cook, Pyra is experienced with many flavours, but the flavour of Rex's mouth tasted so good to her. His tongue also tasted very good too, especially with the saliva being exchanged between the two of them. It took all of Pyra's willpower not to let out a moan from the heavenly taste of Rex's mouth as she greedily drank his spit.

Thankfully she still remembered her idea. The kiss was meant to be half of it. The half that would connect them physically. Now she had to do the other half the mind.

All of her feelings towards Rex were being combined with the kiss. Her love for him and Pyra can't help but notice that Rex tasted even better somehow.

Her efforts have borne fruit as the two core crystals on their chests seem to glow like a brilliant sun, and the two of them fainted onto the bed beside them.

If Rex wasn't so consumed by pleasure he would've heard this in his head. 'Omnitrix is exchanging data with unknown AI. Warning data being exchanged is level 9 information.'

Dream Elysium

"Aaaahhh," A moan rang throughout the fields of Elysium by Rex as he tried to gather his bearings. The boy gets up from the green grassy area beneath him as he tries to gather his thoughts. Did Pyra just kiss him?

Blushing a bit from Pyra's action Rex immediately looked around hoping to find her. Also, why was he back in this place? What did he die again only this time it was from a kiss? That'd be a weird thing to put on his gravestone. 'Here lies Rex salvager died by a kiss.' But Rex knows he isn't dead. Don't ask him how but he just knows it somehow.

"Well glad to finally meet you in person. Huh, you're a lot shorter than I expected." a voice that sounds so similar to Pyra but different gets Rex's attention. Turning to the voice Rex's eyes widened in shock. Standing off beside the tree in Elysium was Pyra but there was someone else besides her.

The person was a girl and she looked so similar to Pyra because both of them had the same face. Unlike Pyra's short red hair, however, this girl had long golden blonde hair that reached all the way to her waist. Not to mention her eyes. If Pyra's eyes were the colour of an amber sunset then this girl's eyes were as golden as the morning sun itself. He blushed a bit at seeing her clothing which was just as revealing as Pyra's but differently. Unlike Pyra's chest armour the blonde girl had a chest window that allowed him to have a view of her generous cleavage. Oh, and the short white dress she wore didn't even hide her legs, unlike Pyra's leggings. So, Rex also had a full view of her delicious thighs.

'Gah, get your mind out of the gutter, Rex. Besides, who is that girl? Wait, she looks familiar… is that Myhtra?'

Taking a closer look at the blonde girl, Rex can see that she was similar to the girl he had a vision of during the play. Something else also catches his eyes too. On her chest was the exact green core crystal that Pyra had.

"And he's a pervert too. Pyra, we should probably keep our distance from him if he's going to be like this," Mythra deadpanned at Rex, seeing that he was checking her out.

After being called a pervert, Rex's face lit up as he panics while flailing his arms, "I'm not a pervert, I swear! It's just you look so beautiful like Pyra. I can't help it!"

A silence goes through the area, with only the wind being a source of sound. Both Pyra and Mythra's faces lit up with Pyra averting her gaze while faintly smiling and Mythra glaring at him with her bright face red.

'Oh, by the celestialsapiens, why did I say that?' Rex thinks while blushing madly. Not that he didn't mean it. Mythra was just as beautiful as Pyra, in his opinion, but why did he voice out his thoughts.

Myhtra, still blushing, looks at him while glaring daggers at him, saying. "I'll ignore that. But that's only because I want to know how in father's name did you find out about me?"

Rex, who is still blushing a bit, scratches the back of his head and answers her. "I don't know. I just saw the you at the theatre, and your name and face came up. I swear I don't know anything else."

Myhtra furrowed her brows at that. So he doesn't know the answer either. She does have a hypothesis, but it's a bit of a stretch. The twin cores that Rex and she hold may have exchanged information, allowing Rex to discover her existence. But shouldn't she find out more about Rex if that was the case? Like she thought this was just a hypothesis and not the definite answer.

Also, that was Pyra's plan to kiss him? She blushes a bit more at that. Even if Pyra was the one who kissed Rex, the blonde Aegis could still feel his lips too, and she would never admit it to anyone, even Pyra, but Rex's lips felt nice and tasted so good.

Looking at Rex and his lips, Mythra thought. 'I… wonder how his lips would feel directly.' father help her! Is this love?! How does she like Rex this much!? Continuing her train of thought. 'Still, I suppose he can be cute and sexy at the same time. Not to mention that promise.'

Did he mean it? Would he protect the both of them, or was it just Pyra he made that promise to. Would he also lend his support to her as well?

A question cuts off Myhtra's inner turmoil from Rex. "Say why are we back here and what's up with the volcano and green lava? That's new."

'Wait, what's he talking about?' both of the Aegis girls thought at the same time. Turning around, they saw something off in the distance that was definitely new. Behind the strange building that was supposed to make the mournful bell sound that had somehow stopped was a giant volcano shooting out green lava instead of orange lava.

"What is that? That's never been here before," Pyra exclaims in shock, wide-eyed, unable to comprehend the new addition to their memory of Elysium.

Rex walks up next to them, and before he knew it, words were leaving his mouth automatically. "I don't know. Don't ask me how a virtual simulation of the Codon Stream is in your memory space." As soon as he finishes saying that, Rex blinks in confusion. He quickly raises his hand to his mouth in shock at the unintentional comment on the new addition to Elysium.

Both Pyra and Mythra look at Rex in shock, seeing that he somehow had an answer to their new addition. "Rex, how did you know that and what is a Codon Stream?" asked Pyra.

Rex tries to open his mouth, but in that instance, an intense headache slams down on his head even more than the one at the theatre. He wobbles around, trying to find some balance from his disoriented mind. Thankfully both Pyra and Mythra held on to his arms when they realized he was dizzy so he could at least stand up.

A few seconds pass by, and Rex finally manages to get his mind back together. When he could speak, he answered both of them. "I-I don't know. It just felt like I knew that somehow." by the architect, what's happening to him?

Both Pyra and Mythra shared a look of worry for their Driver. Was this a side effect of giving up half of their core? It shouldn't be, but if it wasn't that, then what was it?

Pyra quickly held onto him even tighter to let him know that she was there for him. Taking a closer look at her Driver, the ruby girl could see that the more he focuses on this 'Codon Stream,' the worse things are getting for him. It may be for the best if they focus on something else. They could always come back on this some other day.

"Let's ignore that for now. We can figure it out another day," Pyra suggests while rubbing Rex's head and continuing. "Rex, I would like you to meet Mythra, my sister." Pyra introduced.

"Sup," Myhtra nonchalantly greeted with a blank face with a hint of worry behind her eyes for her Driver's well-being.

"Hey," Rex replied while trying to clear his mind. Seriously what's happening to him?

Seeing that Rex can't start a conversation, Pyra decides to take the initiative. "So I think there are some things we have to tell you, Rex." as soon as she finished saying that, Mythra looked at her with an alarmed face knowing what her sister was implying.

'Really right now? Does he really need to know about that?' even in their mental world, both of the Aegis girls can still communicate with their minds.

' he should besides… I think Rex is worth taking that leap of faith for, don't you agree?'

'I suppose you're right. If we are going to reach Elysium, we should tell him about who he is fighting against. Want me to give him the information he should be able to get our memories from the core crystal in theory though'

'Sure, give it a shot. It would save a lot of time,' Pyra agreeing with her sister.

Taking a step forward to Rex. Mythra stretches out her hand and touches his core crystal with it. This, in turn, causes a massive amount of memories to be flooded into Rex's mind, everything to the questor taking her and Malos from the World Tree to her old allies back in Torna.

Rex could feel so much information being stuffed down his brain it felt like he was going to have an aneurysm from it. Thankfully his mind was able to process everything Myhtra just gave him, and when he managed to grasp the new information fully, he let out a yell of shock.

"WHAT MALOS IS AN AEGIS AND JIN'S A BLADE!"

His outburst was to be expected. But that still didn't stop both Pyra and Mythra from jumping up in surprise at his reaction.

Going through the new information, Rex begins to think. 'Oh, so that's why both of them were so strong. Damn, it's no wonder.' he should've seen it coming, though. Between Malos's insane strength to Jin's speed, he should've known they weren't human.

But something else was bothering Rex, though, and he voiced his thoughts once more. "Wait, why does Malos think the Architect's will is to destroy humanity? And how did he survive even?" from the memories, it seemed like Malos sunk beneath the cloud sea. Don't tell him he's just as hard to put down as Vilgax.

"We don't know. Maybe Malos was just born that way, or he's lost. What we do know, however, is that he has to be stopped no matter what." Pyra replied, full of determination.

Hearing that, Rex then looks at Mythra and sees that she also has the same expression as Pyra. But he wasn't looking at her because of that. No, he's looking at the blonde Aegis because Rex also saw how she was treated during the Aegis war. The theatre represented her as this divine being that could do no wrong.

But that's not what Rex saw. No, what he saw was a confused girl thrown into a war. It also didn't help that said girl also had a Driver that was basically holding her back. At that moment, Rex can't help but be angry at Addam. Didn't the legendary hero see how he was affecting Myhtra? All of the ridicule and bullying from others was damaging her psyche, and Addam himself was too afraid of Mythra's power too. That was the legendary hero? A man who was too scared of his own Blade's power? Myhtra deserved better than that.

Rex then makes another promise in his head and starts walking towards Myhtra.

Mythra, who was surprised by Rex's approach to her, didn't have any time to react as her Driver hugs her the exact same way he did to Pyra in the fields of Gormott. Her face was on his shoulders, and Mythra's face lit up so red it was the same colour as her sister's hair.

She was about to let out a scream and push Rex away. But before she could, she froze up after hearing Rex speaking. "I'm sorry," he apologized before hugging tighter and continuing. "You shouldn't have gone through that. I promise I'm here for you both of you. Not just Pyra but you as well. If you don't want to come out to fight, that's fine. I have more than enough power to protect the both of you." he pauses, looking at his Omnitrix on his left arm. "But it would be nice if you came out to hang out with us. It's got to be boring at times, right?"

Pyra sees Rex promising Mythra basically the same thing he did to her. She's glad that her sister is being supported as well. Really Rex was the best Driver they could ever ask for and something more too. However, she did pout while thinking. 'No fair! I want another hug too!'

Mythra, who was still frozen at Rex's promise, quickly pushed herself away from him while stuttering. "T-t-thanks but don't get any ideas, you perv!" she shouted while facing away from Rex so he couldn't see her faint smile and glossy eyes that would've made tears. Though Pyra did roll her eyes, knowing her sister's stubborn attitude.

A minute passes through the area with Rex waiting for Mythra to turn around and face both him and Pyra. When the blonde Aegis does, her expression seems a bit softer than it was before but still had some of that steel from the beginning.

Mythra herself is glad. She finally has a Driver that cares for her. Not that Addam didn't care for her. She did love her old Driver. But did he care for her because she was Mythra or because she was the Aegis?. Rex wasn't like Addam, and a part of her was happy about that. She could sense that he wasn't afraid of her, and he cared about her and Pyra's feelings first.

'Maybe a life with him isn't so bad,' Mythra thought in her head. Really why is her Driver so charming?

Pyra, who was smiling at the entire time, then came across a dark thought. A thought that she doesn't want to become a reality. Looking worryingly at Rex, she told him. "Rex, are you sure? Malos will destroy anyone in his path to get us. Your life will be in danger."

Rex just looks at Pyra while shaking his head while answering her. "It's fine, Pyra. I promised I'd protect both of you. Besides, I'm used to having my life in danger and being hunted down." whispering that last part to himself.

Unfortunately, he didn't say that quite enough. So, both Pyra and Mythra looked at him bewildered. "Rex, what do you mean you're used to it?" Mythra asked with a sinking feeling in her stomach

Cursing to himself, Rex looks at both girls, whose faces tell him they want to know what he means. There are many examples, but one stood out among all of them, and it was the most traumatizing one.

'They should know Rex. They deserve to know the truth. You know better than anyone as beautiful as the universe can be. It's also an equally terrifying place. Hmm, how to tell them? Wait, we're in the mind right, which means it's like a dream.' Rex thought while coming up with an idea. Closing his eyes, he focuses on trying to remember that day.

Slowly the surrounding area of Elysium begins to change into the fields of Gormott to match the exact day Rex remembered. Both Aegis girls are startled by the sudden change, and Mythra quickly asks Her Driver. "Rex, what's happening?" This was shocking to the blonde Aegis since she's never seen anything like it.

A moment passes and Rex replies. "This place is like a dream. So, I'm showing you two a memory of mine from five years ago. The day I met Vilgax. The day I met my greatest enemy".

Both Pyra and Mythra widened their eyes at that. They were seeing a memory of Rex? Wait, who's this Vilgax? And why is Rex showing them this memory?

Seeing their confused expressions Rex just simply points behind them and they followed his finger. What they saw shocked them.

Standing in the field of Gormott was a 15 foot tall squood-like humanoid with some sort of mask on its face wearing red armour that covered up its shoulders and legs. The creature's arms also had these thick metal rods sticking out of them.

But what caught the attention of the girls was what was in the squood's hands.

A giant bug kinda like a fly was struggling to get out of the squood's hands but to no avail. The fly had humanoid hands and four legs with two giant green wings on it's back. But what really caught the attention of both the Aegis girls was the fly's head. The creature had 4 eyes which were protruding out of its head with the Omnitrix symbol on it meaning it was Rex.

Species: Lepidopterran (Stinkfly)

Homeworld: Lepidopterra

Powers and abilities: Flight, slime projectiles, Methane gas, Herbicide projection, sharp claws, sharp feet, sharp talons, wall crawling, enhanced strength, durability, agility, dexterity, reflexes and speed.

Description: Although their bodies may appear to be fragile. The Lepidopterrans are a durable race with many unique abilities to match. However these abilities come with the price of giving up stealth since the lepidopterrans smell too much. This unfortunately leaves them easily detectable by their predators the Buglizards which are immune to most of the the lepidoterrans powers.

"Rex is-is that?" Pyra couldn't even finish her words because she is too shocked by what she saw. Is that really her Driver fighting of this Squood thing. Is that Vilgax?

Rex nods to Pyra's question and replies. "Yes that's me fighting off Vilgax. He's an Alien warlord who desires the Omnitrix power. This is my first battle against him."

Both Pyra and Mythra could only look at the scene with fascination. This was a real alien a being not from Alrest.

However their fascination turned into horror when this Vilgax raisies one of his hands and taps the Omnitrix symbol on Stinkfly's head and in a flash of red light it revealed Rex. But it wasn't the 15 year old both of the girls knew. No this Rex looked like a little kid about 10 years old.

"H-h-how did you do that!?" the past Rex exclaims in shock at seeing himself being turned back into human form. None of his foes have ever done this to him before.

"A Child!?" Vilgax rasped out in shock and outrage. His voice send shivers down everyone's spines including both Rex's past and present selves. "The Omnitrix is in the hands of Child?!" this was the being that had defeated all of his drones and bounty hunters?! Raising his hand once more Vilgax reaches for the Omnitrix on Rex's left arm this time.

'CRUSH!'

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Both Pyra and Myhtra widened their eyes in horror while raising their hands to their mouths at seeing the scene before them. Rex himself flinched and subconsciously raised his right hand to his left arm feeling the phantom pains from all those years ago.

The Reason? When Vilgax reached for the Omnitrix, he squeezed Rex's left arm and outright Pulverized his bones. As in, the bones weren't cracked or broken, but they were now a broken powder within Rex's left arm.

Past Rex lets out a scream of pure agony as millions of his nerves were fired up as his bones were broken down to a fine powder. Tears of pain were streaming down his face as he couldn't hold in his voice.

"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!"

Thankfully as if some divine or higher being taking pity on Rex, the Omnitrix emitted a green energy pulse that sent Vilgax flying away to the wall of a cliff that was nearby with the force of a 100 rampaging armu.

Seeing that he's free past, Rex tries desperately to crawl away from this monster, hoping to get to somewhere safe like Torigoth. Pitifully using both his tiny legs and one arm while trying not to let out anymore screams from the pain of his mangled armed which flopped around like there was no bone inside.

The past version of Rex then heard heavy footsteps and felt a sense of deep dread in his heart. Every fibre in his being prayed it was a gogol or even the infamous Territorial Rotbart that was chasing him and not that...that...that Thing!

His prays were denied as a colossal hand then picks him and makes him face those soulless red eyes of Vilgax, who was not even affected by the energy pulse of the Omnitrix, which knocked him away.

"It seems that the Omnitrix has bonded to your DNA on a molecular level making it nigh impossible to remove it from you," the alien warlord analyzed.

Young Rex could only let out a small whimper as he started crying again. "T-t-t-t-that m-m-means… I can go, right?" The young boy could barely get out from all of his crying.

The soulless red eyes narrowed in disgust at Rex's tears and weakness, almost as if the concepts were putrid to the titanic being. "Hardly… It just means I shall rip the Omnitrix from your cold, lifeless corpse boy."

Vilgax then summons his vehicle, which was a giant round spike ball with a door big enough to fit him. As the alien warlord takes Rex inside the vehicle, the boy begins to scream in pure terror, calling for help.

"HELP! ANYONE! PLEASE! SAVE ME! HE'S GOING TO KILL ME! HELP ME! SOMEONE!"

But his calls for help were futile since there was not a person within a mile from where he was besides Vilgax. If someone was nearby, they could still hear Rex's screams muffled by the vehicle as it leaves for Vilgax's ship.

The memory of Gormott fades as the memory of Elysium comes back. The three people within that world all had different reactions.

Rex was trying not to cry from that moment of his life from 5 years ago. He didn't want to appear weak in front of Pyra and Mythra.

Pyra herself, however, was openly sobbing. Hearing Rex's screams for help and seeing that mangled arm of his. It felt so cursed to the red girl she would never wish that upon anyone, especially Rex.

Mythra herself was staring at Rex. If one saw closely, they would see a tear running down her face before she wiped it away.

"Rex… how old... were you?" Pyra could barely managed to get out while still crying.

"... 10… I was ten years old. That memory was five years ago," Rex whispered out.

"10" both of the Aegis girls breathed out in horror while staring at Rex. Their Driver had that happen to him when he was 10? Children should never have gone through something like that. Just what kind of life did their Driver live?

Without warning, Pyra runs straight towards Rex and hugs him, burying his face into her chest as she is still crying. She rubs the back of Rex's head while whispering in his ears. "I'm sorry" over and over again. She's sorry because Rex should've never gone through any of that in his life.

Rex himself closed his eyes as he let himself feels Pyra's warmth. It felt different than how Corrine and Gramps comforted him. But in a good way. Hoping to stop Pyra from crying, he tells her. "It's okay. That was five years ago. Besides, I activated the self-destruct sequence of Vilgax's ship while trapping him on it while sending it out of Alrest."

Though that didn't permanently stop the alien warlord who came back a few months later, the scary part was that Vilgax's ship had to have a fusion core installed in it. And when those things explode, they vaporize everything in a hundred-mile radius. Yet Vilgax still came back after that.

"That doesn't make it better. How can you expect us not to worry about you after seeing that you jerk." Mythra's voice chimed in while slightly cracking to show that even she was shaken by what she saw.

Hesitantly she walks up to Rex's behind and slowly wraps her arms around him in an attempt to comfort him.

The fields of Elysium was now filled with care both the Aegis girls held for their Driver to show as much as he cares for them they'll care for him back.

Again sorry for the delay work is really difficult so I kinda have a hard time writing. Not to mention I've been having trouble thinking of ideas for Saber and I just haven't had the drive to write recently.

Dun Dun meet Saber. The game stats don't really matter. Their just like an easter egg thing so don't take it seriously. Just take the Temporal field skill and his specials as the important things that'll be shown in my story.

Now as for his appearance it's an adult Rex with a purple Omnitrix acting as his core crystal with the aegis core still green. Now some are you are probably wondering why a knight? Well got the idea from SomeRandomHuman and if you think about why the Omnitrix was built then a knight is kinda Ironic.

Reminder I've haven't played or seen Torna the golden country yet because I wanted to see Chugga play it first. So sorry if I didn't get Mythra and the events right. I mostly got the info from other fics.

As for Rex and Vilgax. Just to clarify I didn't give Rex a traumatizing past because I hate him (I actually like main characters especially ones like Rex) but if you think about it. Having the Omnitrix at the age of 10 and fighting alien warlords has got to be unhealthy for a person's mind.

Here's a question for you guys do you want me to keep on doing the Omnitrix database, or do you want me to stop. If it's annoying, I'll stop.

Another thing. If I'm ever discontinuing my story, I'll tell you guys. So if I'm taking longer than usual, don't worry. I'll tell you guys if I stop writing.
