Caulifla and Kale What IF: Chapter Fifteen- "Blood Sisters? (Part One)"
Planet Sadala, Sadala Hospital (Year 767-13 Years Ago)
At the Sadala Hospital, the doctors and nurses are working around the clock, caring the patients in their assigned rooms. On the fifth floor of the building, in the thirty-second room on the far right, a doctor is taking care of an interesting patient. He has a clipboard in his hands, writes something that he had been analyzing for a few minutes on his patient. The patient in question is sitting in front of him with a hospital gown on. She has an angry expression on her face, while crossing her arms. Her appearance is far different from the rest of the saiyan women on this planet. Her hair is wild, spiky, and black, her skin is light, and her figure is mostly close to average. Or...it would be, if it weren't for the huge stomach that seems to be comical at first. The doctor turns to the patient, saying that she seems to be perfectly fine for an eight month pregnant woman. The patient grunts and turning her head to the other side, not bothering to answer that reply. "I know that being pregnant is a pain, Coli, but it's a wonderful gift for you to be a mother. I hope that your son will take care of your soon to be children for you. I'm sorry that your husband had to-" said the doctor, before Coli looks at him with an even more angrier expression. DON'T! Talk about that bastard again! He left for his mission, hoping that it would end his career as a SDF Elite. In actuality, he just wanted to get away from my second pregnancy. I'll be leaving. Renso should be outside to pick me up." said Coli, as she slowly gets off of the bed, walks out of the room, holding onto her huge stomach, and shuts the door behind her. The doctor makes a smile, while shaking his head, meaning that he has seen that expression before. He didn't want to say it out loud, but he knew that Coli is not the best person to be in a relationship with. "I just think of why Roots would marry that woman in the first place? "are the doctor's thoughts, before he turns to his schedule for his next patient.
Outside of Sadala Hospital (Five Minutes Later)
Outside of the hospital, a SDF Elite soldier with an armor over his blue outfit, is waiting for someone. He has the car ready for that person to ride back home with. He sees the door open and Coli in her casual clothes on walking out of the hopsital. She has a pink tube shirt, baggy blue pants, black bracelets, and black, pointy shoes on, as she walks towards the soldier. The soldier later makes a nervous smile, knowing that Coli is not going to be happy to see him this late to pick her up. "(Grunts) Renso!? Why the hell did it took you so long to get here!?" said Coli, as she has one hand on her huge stomach, while the other hand is in a fist position, possibly to punch Renso in the face. Renso says that he had to do some errands for the captain, before coming here. "He said that I'm going to be the next captain of the SDF Elites, so that's a good thing to tell you about." said Renso. Coli grunts even louder, after that. She hates the SDF Elites, even her own husband, who got her pregnant with Renso by accident. She says that she's "glad" for her son that he got the job of captain. "Now, open the damn door! Rubbing this big ass stomach is tiring me!" said Coli. Renso understands and opens the left door of the car for her to go in. Coli had some trouble going into the car, due to her stomach being in the way, but she managed to get in with no help. Renso goes to the driver's seat, closes the door, and starts the engine. The two leave the area and go back to their house in the North City of Sadala.
North City, Coli's House (Thirty Minutes Later)
Renso: (Sits on the couch) Ah! It's great to have the entire rest of the day to myself. On the other hand, I have to take care of Mom, because Dad is not here. (Sighs) Father is always the first person that I always go to for help, but since he isn't here, I have to be my own father to Mother. Heh! Saying that is weird to see and hear Mom's yells all day. (Looks at the water to grab it, but sees some ripples) Oh...I must of said something. (Looks right, seeing Coli walking up to her) H-Hi, Mother.
Coli: (grunts) Don't say that (Bleep) to me! Your father didn't marry me, because he like me. He only did that, because he accidentally made you! (Points at Renso)
Renso: Hehehe! You told me that story a bunch of times. Maybe, Mom...(Nervously smiles) You should be a bit more calm. I mean...You are eight months pregnant and I don't want anything to happen to your second child.
Coli: (Sits next to Renso) The doctor says that I might have two children, instead of one. That would explain why my stomach is bigger than when I had you. It's irritating as hell! This is much heavier to fly and walk and I had to rub it, whenever I feel something move around there.(Rubs her stomach)
Renso: (Looks at her stomach) Maybe...those two children will be a good influence on your attitude. I know that Father was the one to get you into being a parent, but at least try to be one. You were never there at my graduation from the Sadala Defense Academy and you seem to only care about yourself.
Coli: Hmph! (Looks at her stomach) Maybe you are right, Renso. For once. I have always been protective of myself for so long. it's because I was abandoned my my own mother and me being alone in the city was hard. I had to think quick, so I became tough and never shown any emotions to anyone. Then, you came along and...something inside of me began to push itself out of me. I never got the chance to accept it, but for some reason, I want you. Ugh! I don't know if it's the right time to tell anyone this.
Renso: Hehehe! (touches Coli's shoulder) I could be that first someone to listen. What is that feeling that you have?
Coli: (Looks at Renso with a concern expression) I think it's...Love.
Renso: See? Love is not a bad feeling. It's a good feeling that you should share to us. Me, your two children, and Father, whenever he comes back from his mission.
Coli: I guess you're right. (Looks at her stomach) (I think that this love will help me be more connected to my other two children that are inside of me. I just hope that nothing else will go wrong with them. I just want them...to have a safe future, after I'm gone.)
Coli and Renso continue to have their day, thinking of what the future will have for them. Renso wants to be the best captain to the SDF Elites as best as he can, while Coli wants to be the best mom to her new children. She can be a rude person from time to time, but she can be loving, when she wants to. She didn't had the time to actually show her feelings to others. One month has passed and Coli's pregnancy is about to end. They are at the hospital again, but this time, Coli is in labor. The doctor tells her to push harder for the first child to come out of her. Coli tries her best to push her children out of her, while Renso is in pain from her squeezing his hand too tight. Coli is able to push one child out of her, resulting in the doctor holding onto the baby. Next, the doctor sees the second child's head coming out, telling Coli to continue to push harder. Coli is now in pain, trying to push the last child out of her. She is still able to push the last child out of her, resulting in the doctor grabbing the baby in time. After that, the doctor cleans the blood off of the two babies, wraps them in fresh blankets, and brings them to their mother. When Coli sees the doctor with her two children, she was shocked that she was able to push two babies out of her. The doctor places the two babies on Coli, so that she can hold them. Renso is there, looking at the babies for himself. "One baby has your looks. The hairstyle, the skin color, and even your eyes. The other one has a dark tan skin color, has neat hair, and some shy looking eyes. What are you going to name these two?" said Renso, as he looks at his mother. Coli has been thinking of names, but never thought of what their genders are. She takes a little peak of their genders, now knowing that both of them are girls. "Okay. This seems to be easy for me to name them. For the one, who looks just like me, I'll name her 'Caulifla'. While the other one, I'll name her 'Kale'. Does those name sound okay to you, Renso?" said Coli. Renso think that those names are perfect for the babies. The babies giggle at their new names that Coli has given them. Coli smiles for the first time in her life, happy that she can be a good mother to these two. She was going to try to be a good mother this time around. She hugs the two closer, symbolizing that she will never leave their sides.
Planet Sadala, North City, Coli's House (Year 770-Three Years Later/*10 Years Ago)
In the house of Coli, the place seems to be normal as always. Coli, who just woke up and went to the bathroom, comes out of the hallway. She rubs her eyes, still tired from her sleep. She walks into the kitchen to grab something, but can't think of something to cook up for her two daughters. As for her two daughters, they are in the bathroom, getting ready for their day. In the bathroom, a girl in a pink gown, is sitting on the toilet, taking her business. She blushes a little, due to her sister being in the same room as her. The other girl, who's wearing a white t-shirt and grey sweatpants, is brushing her teeth. She smiles through the brushing, happy to start the day right. She spits out the toothpaste in her mouth, swishes water in her mouth, before spitting that out, and faces her sister, who's still on the toilet. "S-Sis? A-Are you done? I-I'm still-" said Kale, as she looks away. "I'm done, Kale! Meet me around the table! I can't wait for Mom to take us into the city!" said Caulifla, as she runs out of the bathroom, without shutting the door. Kale, who's done with her business, runs to the door, shut its, and blushes some more. She doesn't like Caulifla, when she does that. She flies to the top of the bathroom sink to clean her hands and brush her teeth. Meanwhile, Coli cooks up a small pile of meat slices for her two daughters to eat. She also has a pile of meat slices for herself, so that she can be ready for their trip in the city. She is nervous to see how they will react. "Caulifla is exactly like me, so she'll start running around the place. As for Kale, she is a shy child, for which is weird, since I don't remember being that shy in my life. Who cares? At least they'll be with me the entire time." said Coli to herself, as she hears Cauilfla comes out of the hallway and sit on the chair around the table. She smiles at how big the pile of meat slices is, before looking at her mother with the same smile. "Hi, Mom! Are you ready for the big trip to the city?" said Caulifla, ready to go already. "Yes, Caulifla. But… we have to stay together, if we want this trip to be good. You know how Kale is, when she's around strangers?" said Coli, before hearing Kale coming out of the hallway and to the table for her breakfast. Kale shyly looks at her mother, saying that she's scared of getting lost in the city. "Don't worry, Kale. Everything will be fine, as long as you stay with me. Your brother is at his job as Captain, so he'll be back in a few hours." said Coli, as she sit on the table with her daughters. Caulifla already digs into her pile, as Kale slowly picks the slices from the table. Coli stars picking the meat slices from her pile, thinking of whether or not, this idea to take them into the city was a good idea. She and the girls continue to eat, until both plates are clean. After that, they wear their casual clothes. Caulifla's outfit consist of a pink t-shirt, purple pants that are almost similar to Coli's baggy pants, and has the same black shows and bracelets as Coli's. Kale's outfit consist of a red t-shirt that covers here waist, a red shirt that goes from her waist to her knees, and has golden bracelets and boots (more explained later). Coli sees their clothes, good that they have taste in fashion. She opens the door, letting the girls to come out first, before leaving the house herself and shutting the door. The three girls are now flying towards the city, starting the trip.
North City (Twenty Minutes in the air)
Coli: (Looks down at the city) You see, girls? The city is a wonderful place for saiyans to live. Whatever you want, you can go to this city for it. Food, clothes, advice, and a lot more. (Closes her eyes in disgust) (Why the hell am I doing this!? I'm not a tour guide! Although Renso is at his job, I have to give them the tour, so that they could get ready for their future. Besides, they're behind me, so nothing will go wrong)
Caulifla: (Flies behind Coli) Ugh! I wanted to go inside of the city! Not fly over it! It's all boring! (Looks at Kale with an angry expression) Kale?!
Kale: (Shyly looks at Caulifla) W-What is it, Caulifla?
Caulifla: I want to go into the city. I want to see it better that way, instead of flying over it. How about it?
Kale: (Looks at Coli, before looking back at Caulifla) I don't know, sis. M-Mommy said that we should stay together.
Caulifla: I'm sure that everything will be fine. We'll stay together and she will never get mad at us. Okay? (Smiles)
Kale: Uh...(Shyly looks away)
Caulifla: (Sighs) If you do this with me, I'll give you my share of the beef jerky, when we get back home?
Kale: (Eyes widen, while looking at Caulifla) Really? You never share with me.
Caulifla: Well...Are you in?
Kale: (Nods) Uh-huh.
Caulifla: Okay! (Looks at Coli) Mom? Can we take a break from flying!?
Coli: (Stops flying, turns around to see the girls stopping, and makes a serious expression) This isn't a fake excuse for you to walk into the city for a better tour? Is it? (Eyes squint)
Caulifla: Heh-Heh! No! We just wanted to land on the ground and rest our flying. Do you feel tired from all of this flying?
Coli: (grunts)...I do. Okay, Caulifla. We'll land in a safe alleyway. Just stay with me! (Flies down to the alleyway with the girls)
Caulifla: (Lands on the ground with Coli and Kale with a smile) (This is great! Now...time to lose her! ) (Looks at Kale) Kale...Let's get out of this alleyway! Follow my lead. (Tip toes her way out of the alleyway) Now, Kale!
Kale: Uh...(Scarily looks at Coli, before looking at Caulifla) I-I don't know.
Caulifla: (Grunts softly) It's going to be fine. Trust me, Kale!
Kale: Uh...O-Okay! (Tips toes her way out of the alleyway) There!
Caulifla: Hah-AH! Now, let the real tour begin! (Walks down the sidewalk with Kale)
The girls managed to leave Coli's sight and walk down the sidewalk, seeing the rest of the saiyans. The buildings make the girls feel happy to see the bright colors and tall stature. Kale, especially, smiles through it all, feeling more safe around these buildings. Caulifla later sees the SDF headquarters, thinking of going into the building for some more time on the tour. Kale sees the building, home of the SDF Elites and where their brother works at. At first, Kale was against the idea, until seeing Caulifla run towards the building without warning. "Hey! Wait up for me, sis!" said Kale, as she runs after Caulifla.
SDF Headquarters, Training Rooms (Eight Minutes Later)
In the training rooms of the SDF headquarters, the picked new elites are fighting against bots, improving their offenses. Renso, who's the captain, watches the new elites fight off the bots from behind a sound proof window. Besides him is a young boy with a blue outfit on. He has spiky, black hair, triangular shaped eyes with black pupils, and his skin color is about light average. He smiles, as he sees the flying bots attack the elites, the elite soldiers shot the bots with the ki attacks, and flashes of light explosions go off from within the room. He is proud to see this go in front of him. Renso looks down at the boy, smiling as well. Before he came into the training room to watch the new elites train, one of the soldiers asked him to watch over his boy for him, while he was off on a mission. Renso would be glad to take that role. He sits down on a bench, resting his legs a little. The boys sees the captain do that, thinking of sitting next to him. He tries to jump up on the bench, but can't, due to it being taller than him. Renso sees this, helps the boy up, puts him on the bench, and looks back at the window, seeing the fight continue. "Captain Renso? When will I become a soldier like you and the other elites in there?" said the boy. Renso looks at the boy, preparing to answer his question. "Until you get strong and a bit older. What is your name? Your father never got the chance to tell me your name, before leaving for his mission" said Renso. The boys opens his mouth, saying his name. "Cabba! My name is Cabba!" said Cabba. "Hehehe! Nice to meet you, Cabba. Now, be a good boy and fix yourself a cup of water. The training will end in about a few minutes. Okay?" said Renso with a smile. Cabba nods his head quick, before jumping off of the bench and runs down the hallway for his cup of water. Renso was thinking of joining Cabba to be his first pupil, when he's old enough to join the SDA some day. He continues to watch the training go on, waiting for Cabba to come back.
Central Area of Headquarters (Nine Minutes Later)
Cabba: (Carries a cup of water and walks back to the training room) (Captain Renso is a good man of his word. When I grow up, I'm going to be the best SDF elite that Sadala has ever seen! Just wait, Captain Renso!)
Caulifla: (Walks through the area) Kale? (Looks at Kale) Would you stop being so worried? Mom doesn't know that we left and this place is actually much more great than what the other places look.
Kale: (Shyly looks at Caulifla) I know, sis, but...I have a feeling that she will know and our brother will see us. What happens, if he sees us and tells on Mommy? (Shakes in fear) I-I don't want to get in trouble!
Caulifla: Kale! Don't feel scared. Whatever happens, I'll always be with you. Got it? (Smiles)
Kale: O-Okay.
Caulifla: (Sees Cabba walking to the training room) I wonder where that boy is walking to. Come, Kale! (Runs after Cabba)
Kale: Caulifla! Wait! (Runs after Caulifla)
Training Room…
Cabba: (Looks at Renso) Captain Renso!?
Renso: (Looks at Cabba) Cabba. You got yourself a cup of water. You are really a smart boy. Aren't you?
Cabba: (Blushes a little, while smiling) I am! Mommy says that in order to become a soldier, you have to train your brain for anything.
Renso: (Looks at the window) It seems like the fighting is almost done. I have to give the soldiers some advice. You can come in with me, just stay with him. I don't want to bots to come in and attack you out of nowhere. (Walks into the room with Cabba)
Caulifla: (Sees Renso and Cabba go into the training room) Oh...that must be the training room that Renso talked to us about. (Smiles devilishly) I wonder...If we could go in there and-
Kale: No, sis! I'm not going in there! It's too dangerous for me to handle!
Caulifla: Kale? This will be the perfect time to be warriors of our own! You do want to get strong in the future. Do you?
Kale: Uh...(Looks away)
Caulifla: I thought so.
Coli: (Walks through the area with an angry expression) Caulifla! Kale! Where the hell are you!? (I have told those girls to never leave my side! UGH! Me being a tour guide was a bad decision from the beginning!) (Sees the girls near the training room) Ah-hah! There they are! Girls! (Walks over to them)
Kale: (Looks behind to see Coli walking towards them) AH! Caulifla! Our Mommy is here!
Caulifla: (Looks at Coli, coming towards them) Oh crap! Come, Kale! Into the training room! (Grabs Kale's hand, runs down the hallway and into the room)
Caulifla and Kale go into the training room, in order to lose Coli. Coli sees the girls go into the training room, worried that the bots will hurt them. She quickly runs to them, opens the door, and accidentally activates the bots, by slamming the door shut behind her. The bots start coming out of the walls and prepare to attack the soldiers (and children) inside of the area. They shot lasers out of their guns, focus on the people in the area. The solider, who just fought with the bots, are having some trouble dodging the attacks. Renso and Coli have no problem dodging them, as they go through the attacks with ease. Cabba, who's behind Renso, sees the other girls run further into the area. He wants to be the best soldier that he can be, so he runs away from Renso to save them. Meanwhile, Caulifla and Kale are still running through the area, until a couple of bots appear in front of them. "Kale! Stay behind me!" said Caulifla, as she gets into fighting positions. Even though, she's only three years old, Caulifla has been watching her mother and brother fight before, meaning that she has a knowledge of how to fight. One of the bots charges, shooting it's lasers at the girl. Caulifla easily deflects the lasers, one of them hits the bot in the lenses. Caulifla gets the chance to punch the bot in the weak spot, causing it to be broken. The other bot charges at her, but Caulifla holds onto it, throws it to the other side, crashing to a near by wall. Kale smiles from how Caulifla was able to fight off those bots with ease. While she was distracted, one of the bots behind her, begins to charge it's attack to her. Caulifla turns around, seeing the bot charge it's attack to Kale. "Kale! Move out of the way!" said Caulifla, as she runs towards Kale, pushes her out of the way, before the attack could hit her in time. Kale falls on the ground, quickly gets back up, sees the bot's attack shot Caulifla on the side, The girl slides across the area, with a burning wound on her left side. Kale is shocked and scared that the bot hit Caulifla, instead of her. While she was distracted, Cabba shots the bot behind with his ki blast, distracting it from her. "Come and get me, instead!" said Cabba, as he sees the bot look back at him. Now focusing on him, the bot begins to charge it's attack towards the boy. He closes his eyes, not knowing what to do next. Before the bot could shot the attack, it gets hit with a small green ki blast that explodes it. Cabba opens his eye, seeing Kale glowing green all over her body. She makes an angry expression towards Cabba, thinking that he was about to attack her and Caulifla, She prepares to attack Cabba, but Caulifla was able to speak up. "Kale! D-Don't do it!" said Caulifla, before blacking out. Kale sees her sister's body from a far, sad and glad that she's alive. Her body stops glowing green, making Kale faint from the exertion of energy. Cabba sees the girls lay down on the ground unconscious, so he quickly tries to carry them to safety. While that was going on, Renso and Coli finish the last of the bots, saving the soldiers and the children from harm. They all exit the room and to the nurse's office to heal.
SDF Headquarters, Nurse's Office (One Hour Later)
Kale: (Slowly opens her eyes) Huh? W-Where are we? (Turns around, seeing Caulifla) Sis?
Caulifla: (Slowly opens her eyes) Huh? (Turns around, seeing Kale) Kale? You're still okay?
Kale: (Nods slowly) I'm fine. (Makes a sad expression) I'm sorry for not doing anything in that training room. I should have dodge out of the way, before that bot attacked. I'm really sorry! (begins to cry)
Caulifla: Kale? You don't have to say sorry to me. I should be sorry for bringing you into this. I just wanted to have a good tour around the city, but that caused us to be in huge trouble. (Hears the door open, seeing Coli and Renso come into the room) Oh no. (Makes a scared expression)
Coli: Yeah, "Oh no!" what the hell were you thinking!? The training room is for experts only! You should have been killed in there! Especially Kale! (Points at Kale) She's not that experienced in fighting yet! You, on the other hand...(Looks at Caulifla) You were good. It was nice that you defended your sister from harm.
Renso: I've told the higher ups that we were fine and no one got injured. It was still reckless of you two to go into that room. Maybe next time, I should double protect the security of the training room, so this doesn't happen again. (Makes an angry expression at Caulifla and Kale) We are going to have a special talk about fighting and listening to the rules, when we get back to the house! (crosses his arms)
Caulifla: (Crosses her arms, looks away with an upsetting look) I know, Renso! I know.
Coli: (Sighs) I just want both of your to be safe. From now on, I'm not going to fight anymore! Renso will train with you from now on and no exceptions! I am retiring as a fighter right now. (Looks at Renso with a sad expression) Promise me that you will take care of the girls for me? And me included?
Renso: (Looks at Coli) Of course, Mother. I'll take care of all of you. Even if that means that I have to include another pupil into my training. Cabba did show some heroism out there, so he'll be the next student for my training. (Smiles) You don't have to worry, Mother.
Coli: Please...Call me Coli. You're old enough to know that by now. (Smiles)
Renso: Good.
Coli: (Leans close to Renso's ear) And remember...check on Kale's bracelets and boots, when you see Janet around here. I don't want anything bad to happen to her. Okay?
Renso: (Makes a serious expression to Coli) Of course, Coli. (Looks at Kale and Caulifla) Are you two girls alright?
Caulifla: We're fine. (Looks at Kale, smling) Together, we're going to get strong and protect each other. You in, Kale? (Extends her hand for a high five)
Kale: O-Okay, Caulifla! Let's do this! (gives Caulifla a high five)
