Upon Kohakus return he immediately went to Izumis side. Holding her to him he brought his forehead to hers nuzzling her nose.
She hummed smiling widely wrapping her arms around his shoulders tightly.
"Are you?" He questioned low against her hair into her ear.
"I am not sure." She replied just as low. "We should keep trying just to make certain."
Chuckling Kohaku kissed her forehead in agreement.
"This is my wife," Turning to the three humans he had brought with him to introduce them to one another, "Lady Izumi of the eastern house of the sun."
"Just Izu is fine." She corrected.
"You're our chiefs wife, you deserve the proper respect my lady." One of the men said bowing slightly. "I am Rentarou. This is Nagi and Jin. Thank you for allowing us to come to your home."
"Kohaku spoke very highly of all of you. The pleasure is ours." Izumi said. "I will inform Rin and Sesshomaru of your arrival."
"I will introduce them to the others, show them around the compound." Kohaku let go of his wife showing the three to the back.
Izumi went into the main house walking towards the bedrooms taking a moment to make sure she was not interrupting the other couple before rapping on their door panel.
"Come in." Rin called out. Izumi slid open the door to see Sesshomaru in his demon form with his head resting against Rin's lap as she nursed Hotaru.
Closing the door she moved towards them still keeping a respectful distance as to not to disturb them to much.
"Kohaku has returned with the other demon slayers. He is showing them the compound." At her words Sesshomaru lifted his head and stood to transform into his more human appearance.
"That was quick." Rin smiled. "Now I wonder why he was so hasty in his return." She teased.
"Yeah it's a real mystery." Sesshomaru retorted raising a brow. Izumi blushed and cleared her throat.
"Right. Well, I will join them." She stated embarrassed. It wasn't so much Rin, they talked openly about their intimate lives with one another, but to have Sesshomaru call her out on being in heat felt like a close relative stating it.
"And I will join you." He said as she went to the door.
"Of course you will." She practically groaned.
"Do you oppose Lady Izumi?" Placing his arm out in front of her to stop her she turned her head slowly to look up at him.
"But of course not Lord Sesshomaru, you are after all our alpha therefore it is your duty to see to anyone that may come here to visit or otherwise." She said slowly.
"Exactly." Removing his arm. "Will you be joining us Rin." Glancing back at his wife as she rubbed circled on Hotarus back she nodded.
"Yes Lord Sesshomaru, as soon as I am done here." She said. Opening the sliding door he led Izumi out to meet up with the others.
Rin made sure Hotaru was satisfied and fixed her clothing to take her out. She was getting stronger as she held her head up and Rin was able to carry her daughter against her hip.
Tying her swaddle sideways she made a sling for her daughter to rest in.
"Ready to see Papa Kohaku? I'm sure he's missed you and your brother." Walking out she breathed in the warm summer air. "Hello Nen."
"Hello Rin." He greeted. "How are you fairing my lady?"
"Well thank you and you?"
"Quite well."
"Did you happen to see which direction Lord Sesshomaru and Izu went in?"
"Around the back."
"Thank you Nen." Walking down the steps she bounced Hotaru on her hip causing the baby to give small breathy giggles as she jammed her fist into her mouth.
"Rin." Nagi greeted. "It is good to see you again."
"Nagi. I didn't know you were one of the men coming. It's so nice to see you." She smiled happily.
"I remember you now." Sesshomaru said narrowing his eyes slightly at the other. "You attempted to court Rin."
Laughing nervously he swallowed hard. "Yes Lord Sesshomaru, but that was years ago now and a childish infatuation is all."
"Don't worry Nagi. Lord Sesshomaru means no harm. He can just be naturally intimidating." Rin assured. Izumi nodded remembering to the year prior she had met him for the first time in years.
"This is Rentarou and Jin as well. The three wish to remain on my lord to strengthen our pack, as I said before I left." Kohaku said.
"I have no objections." Sesshomaru replied. "Once captain Riku is available then we will discuss it with him as well."
"Where is Riku?" Kohaku wondered suddenly.
"I will explain later mate." Izumi smirked as Rin giggled behind her hand.
"Alright then. This way." Kohaku instructed his men leading them towards the barracks.
"Rin, I will be back." Sesshomaru said walking towards the tree line.
"Hurry back my lord." She called out waving. Copying her Hotaru waved both her hands as well exuberantly.
"I can't handle how adorable the two of you are most days." Izumi sighed out feeling defeated by the two. "Lets fetch Hisashi from Emi."
"Alright Izu." Walking past Sana and Jiro as they came to the back from the forest Jin came out from the barracks seeing the human woman walking with the guard.
It wasn't lost on Izumi the way Jin's eye followed her as she walked off. Deciding to let Kohaku know to keep his watch closely on this new arrival she shot Jin her own gaze that he shied away from.
"Izu? Rin asked seeing the way she looked at the man.
"I do not like how he looked at Sana." Izumi said loudly. Embarrassed Jin lowered his gaze and went back into the barracks.
"Sana is a pretty girl. Of course men will look at her." Rin said in a reassuring manner.
"That is the last thing that she needs." Izumi countered.
"We cannot control people not to look at one another Izumi." Shaking her head as they came to the hut she knocked.
"Enter." Emi chirped out. Pushing aside the bamboo curtain they went in to see Hisashi as he tussled on the floor with Emis son.
Playfully he yipped and nipped at the other boy who reached out at him gripping his fur tightly as he coo'd and shrieked loudly.
"The girls are not so happy when Hisashi interrupts their nest but their brother is happy to oblige." Emi said smiling.
"They probably see him as a threat." Izumi replied.
"More than likely." Emi agreed. Leaning down she picked up the pup as he barked at her before being handed off to his mother. Rubbing his head she picked up her own son. "I am glad our little ones get along."
"As am I." Izu nodded.
"Have you named them yet Emi?" Rin asked reaching out to take the hatchlings hand with her finger.
"Soon, not yet." She replied. "We are waiting for their personalities to come out as to decide what to call them."
"That is a good idea. Maybe with this one I am carrying I will do the same." Rin said.
"You are with child Rin?" Emi smiled at her as she received a happy nod. "Izu might be too and Iku is working on it at the moment."
"Really? Incredible." Emi asked with wide eyes. "We will all be very busy then come years end. I am surprised that Iku decided to breed. She was very much against it."
"I think her mate wore her down." Izumi said with a small giggle.
"Ah, yes. It really is easy enough for them isn't it?" Emi said joining her.
"I'm not complaining." Rin blushed at the thought of her husband.
"Speaking of, I think I will see what my mate is up to." Izumi said. "Oh, Kohaku has brought his men. Be wary of the one named Jin."
"Why?" Emi questioned curiously.
"He gives me an uneasy feeling." She replied.
"Thank you Izu." Emi said sincerely. "Later on once Mitsuo returns we will bring the hatchlings out as it is warm enough for them to be outside. Feel free to come back and join us."
"That will be nice." Rin said glancing at Hotaru. Leaving the hut Sesshomaru came back from the forest as Kohaku came up alongside his mate.
"We need to have a meeting." Izumi told them both walking towards the house.
With the four setting into the sitting room she placed Hisashi down allowing him to run from one side of the table to the other between Kohaku and Sesshomaru.
"The human Jin concerns me." Izumi began. "He looked over Sana as she walked by him and I do not trust the way he took her in."
"Rest assured mate," Kohaku said, "I will inform Rentarou to keep his eye on him."
"Thank you husband." Izumi said gratefully. "It is just a feeling but, it unsettled me."
"It is not uncommon I have found, with humans, that they stare inappropriately especially at the opposite gender." Sesshomaru stated. "While we are on the subject I do not want Rin to be alone around the human Nagi."
"Lord Sesshomaru, I had no idea that Nagi had once tried to court Rin. If I had then I never would have brought him here." Kohaku appealed.
"It is fine Kohaku." Rin interjected. "It was a few years ago now and it never amounted to anything. I turned him down."
"I do not care if it was fifty years ago," Sesshomaru said turning to her, "I am not comfortable with a former possible suitor being around you alone."
"My lord, I understand. Don't worry, I will not be without Izumi or someone else when I go to the back quarters." She soothed taking his hand in hers.
Settling somewhat he looked back at Kohaku. "Keep these men in line."
"Yes my lord." Kohaku said bowing to him slightly.
"Anything else?" Sesshomaru queried.
"No, I have said my piece." Izumi replied as Kohaku gave a brief shake of his head.
"Enough said then, Rin leave Hotaru with Izumi." He said standing as did Kohaku.
"Oh, alright my lord." Taking apart the sling at her side she handed Hotaru to Izumi who also grabbed Hisashi so he didn't follow Kohaku out.
Without another word Sesshomaru led Rin from the house as well. Izumi felt his unease at the human Nagis arrival and sighed.
"Good luck Rin. Sesshomarus going to really rut you now." Looking down to the siblings she smirked. "You two are going to be the eldest of many others with how your fathers are with your mothers."
Hotaru smiled at her as Hisashi nuzzled against his sister.
