Caulifla and Kale What IF: Chapter Seventeen- "Caulifla, The Legendary Super Saiyan?"
Planet Sadala, Hospital, Baby Area (Year 767-Thirteen Years Ago)
Thirteen years ago, a baby was born on this Saiyan-populated planet. In the nursing area, where the babies are resting, we see a special baby trying to sleep. This one has spiky, black hair that seems to be wild. The baby's eyes are mostly closed, but the doctor says that it has black eyes. Its skin color is light, but not too much. The baby seems to be falling asleep until one of the nearby babies starts crying because it needs something to drink. Same goes for the other baby near to it, as it cries for something to eat. One by one, the babies around the other start crying, making the experience a bit more stressed out for this special baby. Sooner or later, the baby is the last one to cry out, not because of the hunger that it craves, but of the cries that the other babies made, disturbing its sleep. The nurses see this and run into the baby area to calm down the babies. They were able to calm down most of the babies, but the one in the middle begins to change. One of the nurses sees the baby float in the air, glowing green. She notifies the rest of the nurses, letting them see the change in the baby. The baby continues to cry louder until the green glowing starts to brighten more. It blinds the nurses, while the baby cries even louder, causing the glass windows to break. An explosion occurs in the baby area, notifying the doctors and a special man. Renso, a soon-to-be captain of the SDF Elites, runs to where the explosion came from. When he gets there, he sees a completely broken window, the nurses on the floor of the hallways, and a bright green light in the middle of the nursing area. He sees closer into the light, seeing a baby with blank eyes and an angry expression. He widens his eyes in shock, knowing who the baby is. He runs into the area and holds onto the floating baby so that it can calm down while saying to it to calm down. This does on for quite some time until the glowing from the baby starts to dim. Once it's gone and the baby is now asleep, Renso takes a deep breath in. He fears that the legend would take over his sister, but not like this. She's too young to be angry. With that, he knows who to come to for this certain situation. He leaves the area with his sister in his arms, walking to the only doctor to solve this situation for him and his little sister.
Janet's Office (Thirteen Minutes Later)
Renso: (Looks at Janet with a worried expression) Doctor Janet? My sister...did something in that baby area. I fear that she might be the-
Janet: The Saiyan of legend? The Legendary Super Saiyan? Yeah, I have heard of this legend on this planet. I'm sure that it was an early release of power that your sister has to learn. I'm sorry about your mother. She couldn't make it, because of her terminal illness that activated during her second pregnancy. I'm sure that I'll have a solution to this. (Looks at the bracelets) How about I make a supporter for your sister to wear. Like bracelets or boots? (Points at the bracelets)
Renso: Really? Are you sure?
Janet: (Smiles) I'm sure. But, just as special support for this, I'll be your sister's therapist. Does that sound like a good idea, Renso?
Renso: Anything that could keep her calm and not so wrathful all of the time, then yes.
Janet: Good! Now...about her name? Have you thought of a name for her? (Looks at the baby in Renso's lap)
Renso: (Looks at his baby sister) I was thinking of something that could rhyme with our mother's name. How about… "Caulifla?"
Janet: That is a good idea. We'll call her that! Congratulations!
After that meeting with Janet, Renso leaves the office with Caulifla in his arms. He thinks of what she said about his sister being the legend of Saiyan history. The one legend that the royal army had trouble taking down about a hundred years ago. Renso looks at Caulifla with a worried expression, thinking that it would be best for her to have extra support to keep her powers intact. He leaves the hospital, as Caulifla's journey of being the legend will change the fate of Sadala for all. Or will it?
Planet Sadala, North City (Year 779-Twelve Years Later/One Year Prior to Present Day)
Twelve years later, the Saiyans on the planet is having a good day. Everyone has a smile on their faces, doing the things that they like to do, and they could all thank the SDF Elites for protecting them and the universe from evil. But...not everyone is happy and filled with positivism. Walking down the sidewalk, a woman with a pink tube shirt, baggy purple pants, black shoes, and black bracelets has a frown on her face. She stares into the faces of people, who look at her funny. They run away or look away from this, hoping to never anger her. Why is that? Because she has the highest power level on the planet and if anything sets her off, then that could mean the end of the world and the race. The woman walks into a meat store and sees a butcher with a lot of meat hanging around him. She smiles for the first time, since coming here and tells the butcher to give her five pounds of meat. "It's for my brother's dinner celebration. He's about to be the general of the SDF Elites. So, can you give me that meat over there?" said the woman, as she points to the rack of meat nearest to the man. The butcher looks down at the woman with a scowl on his face. He says to the woman to she needs to pay. He goes back to chopping off bones from the meat, while the woman makes a comedic frown. She clears her throat to make the statement as clear as possible. "I said...I want five pounds of meat for my brother's celebration. I don't have any money on me right now, so...give it to me." said the woman, as she stares into the butcher's eyes with a threatening grin. The butcher isn't budging, so he tells the woman to leave before he calls the SDF Elites to arrest her. "Go away, you tramp!" said the butcher, waving his cleaver to "shoo" away from the girl. That doesn't do anything and the meat store begins to shake violently. The butcher looks around the area, before seeing the same woman glowing green. The people around the area know what is about to happen, so they run as fast as they can away from the store. The woman looks at the butcher with her slowly turning blank eyes, as she growls at the butcher. "Give me the meat, or I will rip your face and wipe it on my ass! NOW!" said the woman, as she releases a green energy wave that only blasts away the butcher. The butcher, now scared of the wrathful woman, gives her five pounds of meat. He apologizes to her a bunch of times so that he doesn't get killed by her. With that, the woman grabs the five pounds of meat, with one arm, places it on her left shoulder, and stops glowing green. She smirks at the butcher, saying thanks to him, before leaving. The butcher faints, after that strange, but terrifying outcome. The woman walks her way back to the cabin, where her brother is, training with a couple of students that he has picked.
Renso's Cabin (Ten Minutes Later)
Renso: Okay! Stop training! (Sees his two students stop fighting each other) Cabba? (Looks at Cabba) You have improved on your reflexes and your special attacks are stronger than last time. Make good on those!
Cabba: (Bows down) Thank you, Master!
Renso: Kale? (Looks at Kale) You need to work on improving on your offenses. Don't worry about hurting someone. Just hit as hard as you can to make the job right. Got it?
Kale: (Shyly looks at Renso) O-Okay, Master. (Shyly looks away)
(Door knocks)
Renso: That must be her. Be right back. (Leaves the training area)
Cabba: (Makes a scared expression) Y-You mean that-
Kale: C-Caulifla is back with the meat. (Shyly smiles) She is so strong. I wish that I was like that. (Closes her eyes)
Cabba: Yeah. Being all mean and angry. She is the strongest Saiyan on this planet and making her mad would mean the end of the planet as we know it. Before you say, "Galick Cannon", she'd explode the planet out of rage. (Shaking in fear) Even though I have been training with Renso for quite some time, I still fear that I would have to fight Caulifla one day.
Kale: I think that she needs is a friend. She has been looking at me for a few days since I agreed to join Renso's training, and...I think that she likes me. Like a friend.
Cabba: Don't get your hopes up. Caulifla is a raging beast that can kill you with one arm or hand, crushing your neck. If I was the strongest in the world, then I would tell her to kiss my ass! She would be cowering underneath my feet, doing the orders that I tell her to do and-
Kale: (Shakes in fear) Uh, C-Cabba?
Cabba: Then, she would kiss my feet, as a way to show who is the most dominant on this planet. (Crosses his arms in pride) That would teach her that I don't care if she does get-
Kale: (Points her finger) C-Cabba!? Please! Don't!
Cabba: What are you talking about? (Looks at Kale) Why are you-
Caulifla: Ahem! What were you saying about me? That you would teach me who is the most dominant? (Makes a playful smirk to Cabba) Because that might not happen.
Cabba: (Slowly turns around, while shaking in fear) C-C-C-Caulifla!? (Looks at Caulifla) Uh...W-W-What dominance!? I don't want to have any dominance over you! You are the STRONGEST Saiyan on Sadala, meaning that no one can overshoot you in power level! Hehehehe! (Sees Caulifla's green aura coming out) AAAH! (Bows down) Sorry! I will never talk behind your back again! Please, spare me!
Caulifla: (grunts) Although I would like to beat your ass up, this is my brother's celebration, so...(Turns around) I won't! Kale!?
Kale: (Shyly looks at Caulifla) W-What is it, Caulifla?
Caulifla: Can you meet me in my room? I have to tell you something. (walks out of the training room)
Kale: (Makes a confusing expression) Why would she want from me? It must be important. (Leaves the training room)
While Cabba takes a breather from almost getting beaten up by Caulifla, Kale walks out of the training room to Caulifla's room. She is both scared and confused about what she would want from her. She later sees the strongest Saiyan girl's room, having warning signs that are very obvious to read. Kale shyly knocks on the door a few times, before the door opens, revealing Caulifla, "Oh! You got my message. Come in, Kale." said Caulifla. Kale walks into her room, seeing it for the first time. Renso and Cabba aren't allowed in her room, but for some reason, Kale is the only exception to this. She sees cluttered clothes on the dressers, food stains on the floor, and the bed not made that good. She nervously turns around, seeing Caulifla smiling at her. "Why is she smiling at me!? Did I do something bad to her behind her back? Please, don't hurt me!" are Kale's thoughts, as she begins to shake in fear. Caulifla says that she would like to hang out with Kale after she was done with training. "I know that Renso does want me to make some friends, but those Saiyan bastards are afraid of me. But, you...You seem to be fine with me being around. Kale? Can you sit down on my bed for a moment?" said Caulifla. Kale looks at the not so made bed, then back at Caulifla, confused about what her deal is. She accepts the offer, and sits on the bed, feeling something wet, making her squirm a little. Caulifla sits on the bed as well, smiling at the shy Saiyan. She tells Kale that she would like to be friends with her so that she can have someone to care about. "I don't know about my mother that much, Renso is a busy guy, and the rest of the Saiyans are afraid of my power. When you joined Renso's training program with Cabba, you were different. Shy all of the time, having the most beautiful hair, and the cutest smiles that I have ever seen. Kale? I think that you might be my first friend. So...how about it, Kale? Will you be my best and only friend?" said Caulifla. Kale, at first, is shocked that the strongest warrior on this planet wants to be her friend. Kale throughout all of her life has never made any friends. Caulifla...she wants to be friends with her, because of how shy she is. She thinks for a while, before saying that she will become Caulifla's friend. "But...Can you make a promise to me? IF you start to get angry, and your power does go out of control, promise me that you won't hurt anyone close to you. Including me. Okay, Caulifla?" said Kale with a sad look on her face. Caulifla wants to argue toward that promise. She hasn't been the best person to control her anger toward, especially if her power level is the highest on the planet. Looking at Kale's face does want Caulifla to change for the better, so...she nods at Kale's promise. "As your first friend, I promise that I will not hurt anyone close to me, even you, Kale," said Caulifla, before hugging Kale. She blushes through this, looking at Caulifla with confusion. She says thank you to Kale, before letting go of her. Kale's face reddens in shock, but she smiles anyway. She also says thanks, before hearing Renso that the celebration party is about to begin. After that, the girls leave the room to eat some dinner. This is the start of their long friendship, but it is up to the test, as a threat comes to destroy not only the planet but them as well.
Planet Sadala, Deserted Area (Year 780-Present Day)
After the tournament of power was over, Caulifla and Kale went back to their usual training. Kale would improve on her offenses, while Caulifla learns to control her legendary power a bit more. The two girls have gotten used to being around each other for a long time. After training was over, Caulifla and Kale lay on the ground, out of breath. "Kale? I think that your offenses are improving. Don't stop pushing yourself harder. Got that?" said Caulifla, as she turns her head to Kale. Kale also turns her head to face Caulifla, while saying that she will train harder. Caulifla then thinks back to the tournament, where her power was not in the most control, but she kept her promise of not hurting Kale in her legendary form. Sure, their universe was wiped out, but at least they were given a second chance in life to improve more. For Caulifla, she just wants to have a normal life with her only friend. An explosion from a faraway distance, disturbs the moment, as Caulifla and Kale stand up from it. Kale is the first one to see a mushroom cloud of explosion from a distance. She tells Caulifla that they need to help Cabba and the others from the threat. Caulifla nods and they both fly to the north city, where the explosion was at. Once in the city, the two girls see burning buildings and lots of dead soldiers on the ground. They later hear some screaming ahead of them, so they run to where it is. They finally made it to the central part of the city, where they see the threats up close. It's Frost and his cousin, Peppermint, destroying North City. Peppermint is holding Renso in the neck with her tail, while Frost is pointing his death beam at Cabba, who has multiple holes in his body. Kale tells Caulifla that she got Peppermint, while she saves Cabba from Frost, With that, the two girls split and fight off the Frost siblings.
Thirty-Five Minutes Later…
Peppermint: (Throws Kale to the other side) Hah! Pathetic! I thought that you two were the strongest around here! (Looks at Frost) Cousin? Do you want to kill them already?
Frost: (Throws Caulifla to Kale) Why not! With the power-up that we got, we'll be able to take over the universe! (Charges up) Hahahaha! No one will stop us now!
Caulifla: (Looks at Kale's beaten up body) Kale!? Are you-
Kale: (Looks at Caulifla) Ugh! Cah! I-I'm fine Caulifla. I don't want to say this, but...turn into that form. Get...angry.
Caulifla: (Eyes widen) Why!? I promised you that I wouldn't do that again! Not what happened during the tournament! I can't do that, Kale! (Makes a sad expression)
Kale: (Holds onto Caulifla's arm) Caulifla? I know that you made a promise, but...there's the other promise that we made to each other. Remember? (Smiles weakly)
Caulifla: Of course...I get it now, Kale. (Nods) I won't hurt you. But...if I do get out of control and don't come back from it...I want you to keep your promise to me. Okay?
Kale: (Makes a sad expression) O-Okay, Caulifla. Take them down!
Caulifla slowly stands up, next to Kale, who's still on the ground, injured from the beatings. Peppermint and Frost were about to destroy the north city and go on to the next, but see a bright green light from afar. They both turn around, seeing a charging Caulifla with her green aura covering her. "You will NOT destroy my planet! DO YOU HEAR ME!?" said Caulifla, as she charges her aura to brighter green light. Her body goes through some changes, making her taller and more buff in muscle volume. Her eyes turn blank, her hair turns a light green color, and her skin becomes a bit lighter in tone. Once she stops charging, all that she could do is grunt under her breath. She stares at the two frost siblings with her paperwhite eyes, smiling ever so sinisterly. Peppermint wants to kill this bitch and this planet, so she charges at the giant, muscular woman, but her fist gets caught by Caulifla's giant hand. Caulifla laughs while crushing Peppermint's fist, for which squirts purple blood. The female frost demon screams in pain from the crushing, as she tries to remove her hand from Caulifla. While that's going on, Caulifla smiles wider, as she places a green ki blast on Peppermint's stomach. Peppermint stops moving to see the ki blast near her body. She makes a scared expression, knowing full well that the size of that ki blast is going to explode her whole. "BYE!" said Caulifla, as the ki blast explodes out of her hand, blowing Peppermint into pieces. Frost, who just saw that, is terrified that his cousin is dead from the legend in front of him. He knows that Caulifla is the legend, but he doesn't have the power to take it to its fullest. Caulifla starts walking up to the frost demon, making the ground shake with her footsteps. Frost is too scared to move, too scared to realize that he is about to die. He thinks that if he's going to die, it has to be fighting against this thing on Sadala, so he charges at Caulifla with all that he has. Caulifla smiles some more, as she begins to run towards Frost, as the two begin their short, but impactful fight.
Ten to Eleven Minutes Later…
Kale: (Walks down the street) Caulifla? Where are you? (I can feel her energy somewhere. I hope that the form didn't go out of the city to cause some more trouble) (Sees a dim light of green) Caulifla? Is that you?
Caulifla: Rgh! RRRRGGGGGHHHH!
Kale: (Sees Frost's ripped apart body) Ew! I guess he and his cousin are taken care of. (Sees Caulifla, kneeling) Caulifla?
Caulifla: (Angrily stares at Kale) RGH! K-KALE?!
Kale: (Nods, while slowly walking up to Caulifla) Yes. It's me. I don't want to keep my promise of putting you down, but...you have to fight it, Caulifla. The form doesn't have control over you. I'm your friend. You wouldn't hurt me. Will you?
Caulifla: (Eyes widen) (Kale: Of course. I'll be your first friend, Caulifla!) OH...KALE...I'M...I-I'M...S-S-SORRY (Closes her eyes and falls to the ground)
(Caulifla shrinks back to normal form)
Kale: (Smiles) That's good. (Carries Caulifla back to the hideout) Let's get back home so that you can relax. (Flies away from the city with Caulifla)
The two girls have saved the city and the planet from harm. Kale has made a friend that she can care about, while Caulifla has learned to control her form as her own. NO longer do the Saiyans fear Caulifla as the legend. She is a hero on the planet. Friendship is a key role in what these girls had to go through.
