Caulifla and Kale: What IF Remix #1- "Fantasy Adventure (1)"
Saiya-Village (Age 779-One Year Ago)…
In this village, the Saiyans were a good race, where they were accepting of all villages near. That all changed, when the witch cursed one of the princesses for what the king as done to her. She came into the castle at night, put a curse on one of the two princesses, and left, leaving a note for the king and queen of the royal family. "When the night comes or if one of the princesses experiences great rage, then she will transform into a terrifying beast of nature! Only true acceptance of her being with another will break the curse!" said the witch and the note that the king and queen had read. In order to avoid the princesses from experiencing negative emotions, they were separated from each other, the castle was closed for everyone (except for knights), and the town had to be on safe levels when going near the castle. This was the dark moment for the royal family to take. King Rhubarb had to think of something so that the curse can be lifted and the village will be a good peaceful place for all. But, who will break the curse?
Age 780 (Present Day)…
It's now the present day, where the Saiyans are doing their typical work in the village. The bakers are making bread, desserts, and lots of food for the families. Both poor and rich. The knights protect the village from harm, but at a faraway distance, because of the new rules that the king and queen had placed. In the royal castle of Saiya-Village, the king and queen are discussing how to lift the curse from one of their daughters. Queen Berry is worried to death that the curse has caused so much discomfort in the village. She just wants the curse to end, so that she can love her daughters right. Before the curse, the two sisters had been close to each other for quite some time. Never leaving their sides. King Rhubarb has been thinking of possible people, who could break the curse. Mostly knights, since the princesses are interested in them. He later thinks of one knight, who might be great for the case. "Sweetie? Take listening to this knight. He is one of the best ones around Saiya-Village and his record is an almost perfect one! His name is Sir Cabba. He is the one with the blue armor" said King Rhubarb, who points at a picture of a knight in blue armor. Queen Berry sees the knight, confused, yet nervous about his records and if he will break the curse. She has no other choice, but to follow her husband's words and hope for the best in the knight. After the discussion, King Rhubarb sends a message to Sir Cabba through the bird messenger. The bird flies away from the castle to where the knight is.
One Hour and Thirty Minutes Later…
Sir Cabba, who is the short knight in blue armor, arrives at the front entrance of the castle. He feels excited in knowing what the king and queen want him to do. He sees the drawbridge opening in front of him, meaning that the castle is open. It's been months or more since the castle was open to all knights. This must be important. Sir Cabba enters the castle, walks through the hallway, seeing the pictures of previous kings, queens, and princesses. He later stumbles upon the two current princesses. One has a pink gown and an angry expression on her face. She feels like she doesn't want to be in that gown at all. On the right of the picture is a princess in a light green gown and has a shy expression on her face. Sir Cabba hears a voice calling to him. "Over here, lad!" said King Rhubarb, as he and Queen Berry wave their hands to him. Sir Cabba sees them, walks quickly to where they are, bows down, telling them that he has arrived at last. "What do you want, my liege?" said Sir Cabba, as he faces the king and queen with all that he has.
Rhubarb: Ahem! We want you to go on a short date with both of the princesses. Now, you have heard of the curse that has happened a year back. One of my daughters is cursed by a witch. Any negative emotions, mostly wrath, will activate a powerful beast inside in one of them. I fear that this will cause the kingdom to be in a disastrous situation. So, I want you to show them the village, make them comfortable. I believe that you are the best knight for the job. Sir Cabba? Are you willing to put your life in saving this village?
Cabba: (Stands up, bowing down with a serious expression) Of course, King Rhubarb! I will do anything for the village and kingdom!
Berry: Good! I will get the princesses. (Leaves the room)
Cabba: (One of the princesses is cursed? Who is cursed? Which one will break out of anger and destroy the kingdom? I have to figure that one out for myself.)
Berry: (Knocks on a pink door) Princess Caulifla? Time to come out of there. We have a visit- (Sees the door open)
Caulifla: (Sees her mother in her pink training outfit) Yeah, Mom?
Berry: (Makes an irritated expression) Caulifla? What did I tell you about wearing that thing in the castle?
Caulifla: (Makes an angry expression) Because it fits me right! Besides, the gowns are painful to wear! Ugh!
Berry: Never mind about that. We have a guest and he will take you on a tour across the village. Behave yourself! (Leaves Caulifla's room)
Caulifla: Ugh! Fine! Can't believe I have to leave this castle, but not in this outfit! Man! I really like this outfit thou! (Slams the door shut)
Berry: (Nervously looks at a green door) (I know that she needs her space, but we have a visitor. I'm sure that she will understand the issue at hand.) (Knocks on the door) Kale? Are you here?
Kale: (Opens the door, shyly looking at her mother) H-Hi, Mom.
Berry: (Smiles) It's good that you are still yourself, Kale. We have a visitor and you and Caulifla are going to have a tour around the village. Isn't that amazing?
Kale: (Nervously makes a scared expression) T-Tour around the village? Uh...I-I don't think I'm ready for a tour. W-What if the people start staring at me?
Berry: Look at me, Kale. No one is going to stare at you funny. You are a brave princess, meaning that you have the will to have a lot of good things happen to you. Just believe that your shy self will get something good in the village. Remember to stay with your sister and knight. Okay? (Smiles)
Kale: (Smiles shyly at Berry) O-Okay, Mom. I'll try.
Berry: Now, get dressed. Sir Cabba will be ready to take you and Caulifla out of the castle for the tour. See you then! (leaves the room)
Outside of Castle (Fifteen Minutes Later)…
Sir Cabba, Princess Caulifla, and Princess Kale are now outside of the castle, ready to explore the village. Cabba is confused about why the princesses look different than the typical princesses that he has seen outside of the village. Caulifla doesn't like being in this princess gown, but would rather be in her training outfit. Meanwhile, Kale feels scared of being watched by other people. Believing that they might be after her. Cabba tells the princesses to stay with him at all times, while he will walk through the village, looking around the various places. After that, the three leave the castle's perimeters. King Rhubarb stares at the three leaving the castle through one of the open windows. He believes in himself that the curse will be broken and the kingdom will be safe. He just has to wait.
Saiya-Village, North Side...
Sir Cabba, Princess Caulifla, and Princess Kale walk through the north side of the village for their tour. So far, the tour was peaceful. Cabba showed them the many places people get for essentials, such as bread, pastries, clothes, and other accessories. Caulifla feels bored in being here. She just wishes to be back in her room, training for hours. Kale, on the other hand, becomes nervous towards the surrounding crowd in the village. She hasn't been out of the castle, yet she feels shy when she sees other people she has never met before. Cabba feels good for the girls but not loving. He has to try harder. He tells the girls of somewhere they could eat for a little snack. The three walk to where the restaurant is at, ready to take their meals. "I will have the steak with veggies and some iced tea. Girls?" said Cabba. "I will have the steak, but make it a bit bigger than his, and I want some mashed potatoes on the side. I also want some root beer!" said Caulifla. "Uh...I-I don't know what to pick," said Kale, as she shyly looks away from her menu. Caulifla tells her to get the steak, but Kale says that she doesn't like the tenderness of the meat. "Well, how about something that you would like to eat. Something that Mom would make for your liking" said Caulifla, hoping that you help with the little snack problem. Kale thinks of liking Mom's stuffed pies with flaky crust and savory sauce. While she is thinking, the waiter comes to their table for their order. The waiter is a large, overweight Saiyan with a yellow rag outfit under his white apron. "Hello, sir and ma'ams What can I give you three today?" said the waiter. Cabba orders his meal, Caulifla angrily orders her, and Kale opens her eyes to see him. She stuns for a few seconds until the waiter blush from the sight of a princess in front of him.
The waiter wants to say something, but Kale becomes the first one to speak up. "Uh...D-Do you have some stuffed pies?" said Kale with blushed cheeks. The waiter nervously tells Kale that they do have pies and three versions of it. "W-We have a chicken pot pie, a beef stew pie, and a turkey pot pie. Which one would you want to have?" said the waiter, as he smiles down at Kale. She orders the turkey pot pie as her final decision, before saying thanks to the waiter. "You're welcome. And...the name's Limo" said Limo, as he leaves the area to the kitchen with the orders. Kale felt something that she has never felt before. She felt free from her shyness for the first time. Caulifla sees this, not surprised in what she just saw. But the fact that Kale is beginning to have feelings for a poor fat loser like this waiter. Cabba saw it as well, thinking of another way for the curse to be broken. After a long time at the restaurant, the three leave there for their tour to finish. Limo, who stares behind the restaurant's window, thinks of Kale. He has never seen a kind, yet shy princess before. This makes him wonder if when he'll meet her again.
Royal Castle, Throne Room...
{Cabba bows down before the king and queen}
Cabba: Sire?
Rhubarb: Yes, sir Cabba? Did the tour work?
Cabba: Yes, it did. But...
Berry: What is it, Cabba? Is there something wrong with the plan?
Cabba: Nothing, my queen. During the tour, Kale fell her eyes upon a poor waiter at one of the restaurants. He was a kind fellow to her and Kale talked to him without problems.
Berry: (Eyes widen) Oh. Really? Kale didn't have any problems talking to him?
Cabba: Yes. I believe that I am not the one to break the curse. I believe that this Limo will be the one to-
Rhubarb: No! This can't be! Every cursed princess has to be cured by a handsome princess. There is no way a poor fat waiter is going to break the curse! I forbid it!
Cabba: But sir...(Stands up) Believe me that this man will make Kale in love with him and-
Rhubarb: No! I will believe in my own morals and my daughters will be saved from this curse! Now go!
Cabba: Ah. Okay, sire. (leaves the throne room)
Berry: (Worriedly looks at Rhubarb) Honey? Maybe Cabba is right about this. What if this man from the restaurant is the one for one of our daughters?
Rhubarb: No. This is what's right for them. Or one of them. Ah...Berry?
Berry: What?
Rhubarb: I haven't told you why the curse happened. Did I?
Berry: No.
Rhubarb: The reason why the curse fell upon us is that...Ah...I killed one of the witch's sisters during one quest. I was told by the previous king a few years back to kill one of the witches causing mayhem in one village. When I got there, this witch was powerful. It took us hours to kill her, but we did. Afterward, we didn't know what would be waiting for is. I was made king, I married you, and we had our daughters. But...the witch's sister came to punish me for what I had done.
Berry: Really? (Suddenly leans closer to Rhubarb) Why are you telling me this now!?
Rhubarb: I'm not done with the story. I didn't tell you which daughter is cursed. Do you want to know who?
Berry: (Tears flow down her cheeks) I-I don't want to. But...I want to.
Rhubarb: "When the night comes or when she becomes filled with rage, a terrifying monster will come out. The only cure for it is true love's kiss." She came into the room of one of our daughters to put the curse. I made it, but...it was too late. She already placed the curse on her.
Berry: And...W-Who's cursed?
Rhubarb:...Kale. She picked Kale, knowing that her shyness wouldn't be possible to break the curse. After the curse was sealed, Kale has been having some angry outbursts from outside of the castle. The guards weren't able to contain her for long. Gladly, Caulifla was there to stop her from causing more damage to the castle. Or this village as a result. I worried that this poor boy would make this much harder for the curse to be lifted. I don't want this to continue in her life. I'm sorry for keeping it to myself. I thought that none of them would know of this. At least it's just between the two of us. Right?
Berry: Rhubarb. We can't keep this secret from our own daughters. We have to-
Rhubarb: I said just the TWO OF US! Right!? (Angrily looks at Berry)
Berry: (Shyly looks away) Right.
Rhubarb: Good! I'll see you in the morning, my love. (Leaves the room)
Berry: (I'm sorry, my girls. This is what I could do for you.) (Leaves the room)
{Caulifla listens to the conversation in one of the hallways}
Caulifla: Holy crap. Does Kale have the curse?
The Next Day...
Morning has arrived and the king is ready to start the day. Rhubarb walks out of his room, down the hallway, and to Caulifla's room for a quick check. He slightly opens the door, seeing his daughter lifting weights in her training outfit. He feels proud of her for trying to be more than just a simple princess. He smiles, before shutting the door so that he could check on Kale. When he opened the door, he doesn't see her. "What the-Where is Kale? Kale!?" said Rhubarb, as he shuts the door, walks down the hallway to the throne room. He doesn't see her in this room either. He does see Queen Berry sitting beside the window. She also has a smile on her face, which confuses Rhubarb. He walks to where his wife is at, wondering why she has a smile on this bright morning. "Ah. You should have listened to Cabba. About the waiter and Kale" said Berry, as she gently places a hand on her left cheek. Rhubarb is now super confused about what his wife had said to her. He looks out of the window to see what she really means. He searches through the area, where the window is pointing until he sees the unthinkable. He sees Kale and Limo holding hands, walking on the sidewalk, and going to the restaurant where the man works out. "What the hell is that poor man doing with Kale!?" said Rhubarb in an angry tone. Berry tells him that she allowed Kale to leave the castle. She told her before leaving the castle to go meet him again. "That was the first time she has ever done that to us. Aren't you-" said Berry, before hearing a loud thud close to her. Rhubarb punches a wall, making a dent. He is angry as hell at what he just saw. He doesn't believe that this peasant is capable of making Kale happy! She is a shy princess and that is it! No one is able to make her happy! He orders the knights to go and grab Kale from Limo so that he could punish her for leaving the castle. The knights nod, running out of the room to their objective. Berry becomes worried about what her husband is about to do. "No! Don't do this! You know what would happen if Kale gets angry!" said Berry. Rhubarb does know, but this is for his own good. For the sake of the village. He leaves the room to follow the knights to where Kale is currently at. Meanwhile, Caulifla has been hearing the conversation, while taking a break from her training. She has a bad feeling about this. She quickly walks out of her room to call Cabba. Maybe she and he will fix this before something bad happens in the village. Especially with Kale.
Saiya-Village, North Side (Four Minutes Later)...
Kale and Limo have been walking down the sidewalk for minutes and they are enjoying it. Kale wants to see where Limo lives so that she could know where to go for their next play date. When they do get to where he lives, it's near the same restaurant where they first met. "Why do you live here?" said Kale, confused by what she is seeing. Limo says that his family is poor and needs a nearby place for him to work. "It's a small house, but it's worth the hard work for what is right. The owner was at least grateful for me getting extra time on the weekends" said Limo. Kale seems to be understanding what Limo has. She tells him that she will do everything in her family's power to give him a wealthy life. Limo is surprised in Kale finally becoming a political princess, rather than a shut-in princess. Like she always has. Before he could say a word, one of the knights shots him in the back, causing him to fall on the ground, face first. Kale looks down at him, surprised as well. She turns around, seeing a group of knights running towards them. Behind them is King Rhubarb, who is pissed at seeing his daughter out of the castle. He yells at Kale to come with him and the knights to arrest Limo for trying to get his hands on her. "Dad! H-He isn't doing anything bad to me. I was j-just-" said Kale, before Rhubarb interrupts her by slapping her in the face. "I don't care! The curse is dangerous around the people in this village! Now get back to the castle, before something bad happens! NOW KALE!" said Rhubarb. Kale cries softly from this, not wanting to go back to the castle. Not wanting to feel alone again. Not being able to see Limo again. This made her upset inside. This was a feeling that she had abandoned for years. She does not know how long she had felt this feeling, but it's stronger than ever. She needs to show Dad not to mess with her.
Kale glows green, causing the area to shake furiously. The king and knights try to stay balanced, but the shaking continues. Caulifla and Cabba arrive at the place also feeling the earthquake around the area. Caulifla is able to see what has been making the shaking. "Oh crap! Mom was right! Kale does have the curse! Dad! Leave! Kale's going to-" said Caulifla, before Kale roars loudly that it breaks all of the nearby windows in the north side area. The roar continues, deafening the knights and citizens. The green light flashes out of Kale, blinding the area for a few seconds. After the light has been gone, Kale has a new form. She stands at eight feet tall, her hair is now spiky, green, and glowing, her skin is pale, but light, her eyes have no pupils, and her expression is pure rage. She growls for a solid minute until she starts stomping around the area like a manic. She crashes into houses, restaurants, and carts. All while roaring in rage. Caulifla, Cabba, Rhubarb, the knights, and Limo are all watching the curse finally rain terror on the village. There is no stopping Kale's rage. Or is there?
Caulifla: (Angrily looks at her dad) Well done, Dad! Now Kale is out of control and probably going to destroy the village!
Rhubarb: I know that, Caulifla! Knights! Make sure that my daughter is safe and doesn't destroy more of the village.
Cabba: No! Don't! That will not work. In order for her to stop, she has to make sure that you apologize for hurting Limo and he is still alive. Please, my liege.
Rhubarb: Hell no! I'm not allowing that fat peasant anywhere near my daughter!
Caulifla: Come on, Dad! Don't be such an arrogant, son of a bitch! Just say that you are sorry and Limo to comfort her. It was the first time that Kale felt happy in her life. Doesn't that make you at least proud of her? (raised her eyebrow)
Rhubarb: Uh...
Cabba: My king!?
Rhubarb: Fine! I will allow this! Step down, knights! I will go after my daughter and apologize. Peasant!? (Looks at Limo)
Limo: Uh, I-I have a name. It's Limo.
Rhubarb: Who cares! Come with me! Kale has to stop her rage sooner or later. (Flies to where Kale is at with Limo)
{Kale crashes through building after building}
Kale: RGHH! UGGHHHHHHHH! (Breaks another cart)
Rhubarb: Kale!
Kale: GRRRRR! (Looks at Rhubarb angrily) GO AWAY!
Rhubarb: Listen to your father, Kale. I'm...I'm... I-I'm...(I can't do this! It's that peasant's fault that I have to do this! What does Kale see in this boy!? Maybe...I'm taking this a bit too far. I did find Berry as a poor Saiyan. She was beautiful. She was also kind to me. I didn't care if she wasn't royalty or not. All that mattered to me was the fact that I loved her. Kale must have seen something in Limo that was pure. Pure...Love?) Listen, Kale. I'm...I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I yelled at you.
Kale: ...
Rhubarb: I just thought that finding true love would be from a knight. But...then I realized that true love can come from anything. Anyone. I'd found your mother when she was a poor woman. She didn't care about how much money I had. Nor did she care about my royal status, All she cared about was her love for me. Maybe you and Limo would have the same fate as I did with your mother.
Kale: (Makes a sad expression) ...
Rhubarb: Limo loves you and I feel it. Please, Kale. Turn back to normal for this love to continue. Maybe the curse might be lifted. If it doesn't then...It doesn't matter. (Smiles) Love matters for the most part.
Kale: F-Father... (Looks at Limo) L-Limo...
Limo: Kale?
Kale: ... I-I love you. (Tears flowing down her cheeks) I love you, Limo. Ugh! (Falls unconscious, shrinks back to normal, and gets caught by Rhubarb) ...
Rhubarb: That a girl. I'm sorry for not listening to your mother. True love is natural in all types of people.
{Caulifla and Cabba fly to where the three are, land in front of Rhubarb and Kale}
Caulifla: Kale? Is she-
Rhubarb: She'll be okay. I have to think about the curse. It's going to take a while for her to be normal. But I have a feeling that this love is going to change her into a better person. (Looks at Limo) I want you to live at the castle with your family until Kale's curse is lifted. Is that okay?
Limo: (eyes widen while looking at Rhubarb) U-Uh...That would be nice, my king. My family would be pleased. Thank you. (Bows down)
Rhubarb: No, lad. Thank you for giving my daughter some happiness.
Two Months Later...
Two months had passed and the whole village has never been better. Kale and Limo have a good time with each other while balancing their duties. Caulifla finally managed to get into the knight group, all thanks to her training. Cabba has been promoted to being a leader of his own team, including a certain black knight who he has a crush on. Rhubarb and Berry opened the doors of their village to nearby villages, all due to Kale's and Limo's love for each other keeping the village safe. No one has to fear the curse hurting them. The north side has some construction to do, but that's the only upset in all of this positive. Kale and Limo finally have a date near the same restaurant Limo work in. They never felt this love in their lives in a while. Limo can actually have a full conversation with Kale, while she can have someone to not be shy towards. When the time came for them to kiss, the curse was lifted. Kale never turned into her beast form, whenever she got angry. She was finally normal. You know how fairy tales end. The two of them lived happily ever after. That is the end of this story. Thanks for reading!
