Boyfriend, she has a boyfriend, of course she has a boyfriend I mean she's the most beautiful, intelligent, kind, caring and overall the most amazing girl out their, so why was I so shocked (ahem upset) that she had a boyfriend. "Um you ah you never told me you had a boyfriend" I tried to steady my voice, "Oh sorry I mean we were only talking for like ten minutes it didn't seem that important" "I think mentioning to your best friend that you have a boyfriend is kind of important you know" I said raising my voice a little "Oh best friend huh well at least I didn't just abandon you without any warning" she yelled back at me. The other people in the hall just stared at us confused, "It's not like I wanted to leave you know" I said in a small voice, "Hey come on Beth i'll take you to class" Dylan interjected, I clenched my fists and felt my nails dig into my skin. "Sure lets go" she said as she walked off with Dylan, he slung is arm over her shoulder as they walked.
What had I just done, the warning bell went off signifying that I had to run to class, class with Annabeth, I had to apologize to her I mean I barley talked to her for twenty minutes and we were already fighting. I smiled to myself as I remembered all of our petty fights we used to have, we literally would fight over anything, were we sat, which ice cream flavor was the best, if books were better than movies (I actually prefer books but 1 I suck at reading and 2 that would mean she was right, and I couldn't let her win) the final bell rang "Shit!" I exclaimed, and I started running to class. Great first day of school and i'm already late to my first class.
Annabeth POV:
The nerve I mean first he leaves me for five years than he magically pops up and has the audacity to yell at me for not mentioning that I had a boyfriend, I mean why does he think he has the right to know everything about me after all this time, after he promised me he would never leave me.
Flashback
It was three weeks after he kissed me, three weeks after the best day of my life. I had always had a crush on Percy and I even gave him a bunch of hints but he was too much of a Seaweed Brain to notice but then he kissed me, and I couldn't stop smiling. I was headed to his apartment to ask if he could play because Helen and my dad were too busy for me again and I didn't want to hang out with my baby brothers they were honestly the worst babies ever I know what your thinking their just kids don't be so hard on them, well sorry but after a baby spits up on you three times come tell me how you feel. I knocked on Percy's apartment door and smiled when Sally opened the door.
"Hi Sally can Percy play" she gave me a sad smile "I'm sorry Anabeth he just left this morning to New York, he's moving in with his father" she gave me a hug. I couldn't no I didn't believe her, I mean he wouldn't leave without saying goodbye right. "Nice joke, where is he really?" I asked with a hopeful grin, "I'm sorry Anabeth he really is gone, but he wrote you a letter, here why don't you sit down while I go get it I made cookies" she said with a smile, "Thanks" I said my voice cracking.
I sat down on the couch and smiled at the cookies, they were blue Percy always loved blue food which she always made fun of him for but now it just made her cry, I cried for the loss of my friend, "You promised" I whispered, he had promised that he would never eave me and now he was gone. When Sally gave me the note I couldn't even bring myself to read it instead I went home and cried i my room for days.
End Flashback
Don't cry I berated myself, it won't do you any good. That's what I always told myself crying was for the weak and I was not weak. I said bye to Dylan as I entered my class and greeted the teacher, I found my seat and waited for Mr Brunner to call roll, my name was always called first because the names were listed in alphabetical order. "Annabeth" called Mr Brunner, "Present" I started reading as he went through the list of names when suddenly a boy appeared panting at the door.
"How nice of you to join us Mr Jackson" "Sorry sir I had a hard time finding the class" he replied "Since it is your first day that is understandable, but please make sure that it does not become a habit" "Of course sir" he replied with a mock salute and his lopsided grin. "Please take a seat Mr Jackson" "Please call me Percy", as he started towards the desks he spotted me and smiled, I (unwillingly) smiled back. he started towards my desk and took a seat beside me, "I'm sorry Wise Girl, I didn't mean to yell at you I just wish you had told me" he said looking down, I smiled at the use of our old nicknames, "It's ok I mean you are a Sea Weed Brain after all" I replied with a smirk which returned instantly. "So we good" " Yeah we good" I replied mocking him.
The class was over before I even realized, "Hey Wise Girl come on we have more classes you know" Percy said while standing up offering his hand which I took even though I didn't need it, when he I took his hand I noticed a tattoo, it was the roman insignia for their legionaries with a trident and five lines, I would have to ask him about it later. After I finished my first three classes I passed by the recording studio because I saw that the door was opened so I checked who was inside, I was pleasantly surprised to hear someone singing, but was shocked to that it was Percy
Percy POV:
I'm surprised to say that I really enjoyed history but that was the only class that I enjoyed so far, but Jason and Luke were in my literature class which was nice (apparently Luke also had the previous class with Jason and he couldn't stop drooling over this one girl) it's not that the teacher's a bad teacher it's just that it's so boring, it doesn't help that i'm dyslexic and ADHD. After I had Chemistry with Leo and we were assigned as partners for the trimester (I was praying that I wouldn't die, which was very possible since I was partnered with Leo). So after class I did what I always do to relax make music.
I had been working on the beat to the song for a while and uploaded it to the music board in the recording studio I closed the door put the headphones on and started singing

When I opened my eyes I was shocked to see Annabeth sitting there with a small smile on her face, I smiled back and asked "Well did you like it"
