Annabeth POV:
What was Dylan's deal, he never asked me to switch to his table before, he was always fine hanging with his teammates and their girlfriends during lunch. "What's up, is there something you wanted to talk about" "No, no reason I just wanted to spend time with my girlfriend is that a crime" he asked with a small smile, he looked really cute when he did that, but I think Percy's lopsided smile was way cuter especially when his eyes stated to- wait was I comparing them.
Oh my god I think I'm going crazy. Get your act together, it's just the first day of school. "It's just something you don't normally do, that's all" he just shrugged in return. when we got to his table I sat down awkwardly, everyone started talking amongst themselves and since I didn't really want to engage in a conversation about basketball or makeup tips I decided to pull out my book.
I reached into my bag and grabbed The Wise Man's Fear, it was an amazing story about this kid named Kvothe who- actually I don't want to spoil it for you. But it was the second book in the King Killer Chronicles, the first book was called The Name of The Wind. I opened my book and pulled out my book mark when someone grabs my book.
"Come on Annie, why are you reading it's so boring, talk with with us" he said with an encouraging smile. I glared at him, "If you wanted to talk you should've asked, there was no reason for you to take my book" my tone sounding annoyed. "Oh come on lighten up" he turned to his friends and continued talking and I rolled my eyes at him.
Even after all of their lunch was gone Dylan and his friends were still talking amongst themselves,"I'm gonna go to the restroom" i lied. "Ok" was the only reply I received from him. He was really cute and sweet sometimes but I feel like he doesn't really pay any attention to me, I know you probably think I'm crazy I'm literally dating the basketball team captain. But that didn't really matter to me I wanted someone who cared and payed attention to me, I guess I did have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
It was the first day of school and he hadn't seen his friends all summer, but we had hung out together so I guess it's fair...right?
I walked over to where Percy and everyone else was sitting, "Dude there is literally no such thing as a blue strawberry" "Ok what about carrots, I mean there are white, yellow, orange and purple carrots shouldn't there be a blue one too". "Uh hi, can I join you guys" I asked meekly, "No you ditched us, traitor" I was awestruck by Percy's reply.
Then he broke into a grin and started laughing, "Oh y-y-your fa-ace" he said in between laughs. I raised my eyebrow at him and gave him a stern look, "Of course you can sit with us Wise Girl" he shot me a lopsided grin. I smiled back at him.
Percy POV:
Annabeth smiled back at me and took the seat next to me, "So what were you guys talking about before I came" "We we-" "Percy was arguing that blue food was the best kind of food and I asked him how many kinds of blue food exist without food coloring, he's been trying to find something else besides blueberries" Jason interrupted. "Really Seaweed Brain, you couldn't even remember blue corn chips" I smacked my head, "I really am an idiot" "You only now realized that, why do you think I call you a Seaweed Brain".
I rolled my eyes, "But blue corn chips are really purple, and were talking about food that is blue not purple" "What that's not fair you just said blue food and if blue is in the name doesn't that mean it's a blue food" I shot back with a raised eyebrow. "Oh whatever" "That's like saying a merry go round is merry, do you know how many kids have cried and thrown up on those. "No but I'm surprised you do" Leo stated with a wary voice, "You sir are a ray of sunshine" I pointed my half eaten pizza at him.
"Oh I'm sorry that you think being informed is wrong", "It's not wrong, but knowing that is" Annabeth said giving him a weird look.
"Anyways what brings you back over hear" Luke questioned, "Yeah, Percy said you left with your boyfriend" Frank mimicked my voice which sounded grumbly and whiny, even though it didn't sound like that at all.

Annabeth gave me a pointed look. "Now did he", "I didn't sound like that" I folded my arms and tucked my head. "Oh he totally did" interjected Travis. "He was all sad and mopey he reminded me of Nico" Conner continued for his twin. "So who is this Nico?" "What you don't know Nico, do you even pay attention to my social media" "No you left me, I didn't feel like listening to any annoying pop songs or stalking your social media".

Why is my brain so logical yet I'm not. But my brain did have a point I mean I always checked her social media (more like stalked). "Did you at least read my letters" I asked in a soft voice. "No when you sent them I didn't want anything to do to with them, and then you just stopped sending them" "I stopped sending them because I thought since you never replied you didn't want me to send them.
"So I tried a different way" I added in a small voice, I had written so many songs for her, I even did a colab once as a song for her. That's why I started making music in the first place. "Did you at least open the birthday presents and Christmas presents that I sent you" "I did, it was really sweet of you". I had sent her four presents in total because my mail started getting returned so I assumed she moved.
"Well unless you guys want to continue moping about your past you guys want to head out" "Sure Pinecone Face" "You know what you can stay". I let out a light hearted laugh and followed her and the guys (plus Piper). We went to the rec room and I wrecked Jason, Leo, Luke, Frank, Grover and Piper at pool. I lost to Travis and Conner cause they somehow messed up my pool stick (I'm not making this up they're crazy) I also ended up losing to Thals and Annabeth at pool.
After a while we were all seated on the couch, some of Annabeth's other friends joined us Silena, Beckendorf (But everyone calls him Beck), Hazel and Juniper. We started playing Uno on the coffee table and I was just having a blast, but of course it couldn't last.
"Hey we heard that you were new you want a tour, I know all the good places" a random girl with way to much makeup on asked as she traced a finger up my arm. "Oh back off Drew, he's not that dumb" Piper shot at the girl (Drew I think). "Why don't you let him decide" she sent me a flirtatious wink.
"I uh I'm good, my friend Annabeth said she would" I wrapped an arm around Annabeth's shoulder she shot me a look that basically said WTF I replied with a look that said Work with me here. she rolled her eyes, "Oh did she now" Drew glared at Annabeth, "Yes I did" she replied with a glare ten times worse I mean if looks could kill.
"Fine but when you get bored you know where to find me" and with that she left, her comment struck me hard and I couldn't help but wonder did Annabeth believe that.
"Oh the nerve" "I'm gonna show her where to find my fist" "Calm down Thals everyone knows she's all talk" Luke soothed his girlfriend. "LETS PLAY SOMETHING ELSE" I announced way louder than I expected, "Sorry" I told everyone who stared at me in annoyance. "If we agree will you stop yelling" Frank asked with a scared look, "Hehe yeah" I gave him a sheepish look. We ended up playing a game called Golf, and Annabeth won of course then we checked the time and realized that we all had Gym in fifteen minutes so we cleaned up our mess and headed towards the Gym as a group.
When me and the guys entered the locker rooms we saw some other guys in there as well and greeted them politely. As I was taking off my shirt I heard the door open so I instinctively looked to see who it was, and of course it was none other than... yep you guessed it Dylan. "Hey can you come hear a sec" he asked pointing at me, I shrugged and walked over to him. "So me and my buddy were wondering where your house was for the party, also it's cool if we invite some of our friends right" I grinded my teeth realizing since we were in a crowded area that he could easily make a scene if I declined.
"Sure no problem, and just give me your number so that I can share the address" he grinned at me, and it reminded me of my uncle Apollo's grin, it was blinding white. "Thanks man" "No problem" I said through clenched teeth.
Gym class went by in a flash, we did an evaluation test so that coach could see what level we were at I was top for the guys, which pissed off Dylan which made me even happier. Coach was this grumpy old guy with a wispy orange goatee and stubby legs, he was pretty annoying and always called everyone cupcake? like seriously who does that. Coach told us about this years athletic clubs, I signed up for football and swim (the practices alternated so that I would never miss a practice), Frank, Conner, Travis and Luke also signed up for football, Jason signed up for basketball (He was awesome at it) and Leo joined the swim team as well as Grover.
Afterwards I drove home and saw Nico already setting up for the party, "Hey man wassup" "Not much Iv'e been bored all day". "Miss Oleary and me went to the park and Will met up with us there" (Miss Oleary is my blue nosed pitbull, when I was younger I called her Blue and sometimes I still do). "Oh cool, sounds like fun" "It wasn't", "Well the guys will be here soon to help and I got something to do". "Hey wait Iv'e been setting up for your party get back hear you little mother fucker" but I was already half way up the stairs. "Sorry I can't hear you what" "You son of a bitch", "You love me" "I hate you".
I ran up to my recording studio which was right next to my room, I lived with Jason and Nico but Jason's room was on the first floor and Nico's was in the basement or his bat-cave as I had pegged it, he didn't let anyone down there. I closed the door and got to work on my new song.
Time Skip
"Yes" I pumped my fist in the air, I had finished recording my new song. I checked my watch it read 7:45, "Shit" I exclaimed. I ran to my room and picked out some clothes a teal T-shirt and an unbuttoned blue and green short sleeved plaid collared shirt over it I wore dark blue jeans and blue chuck taylors. I brushed my hair (It didn't really do anything) and checked the time 8:03.
I checked my phone and typed Annabeth's address into my GPS and ran down the stairs. "Where are you going, you still need to help" "Calm down Neek's he's headed to Annabeth's house" Jason wriggled his eyebrows, "No shit, Annabeth" "Yeah she goes to our school apparently "Holy shit" "Yeah now I gotta go thanks bye". With that I ran out of the door put my keys in my car and started driving.
When I reached Annabeth's house I was shocked to see a gate, when we lived in San Fransisco she lived in a tiny town house now she lived in a giant modern mixed with ancient Greece styled house. Needless to say it was beautiful. I pulled up to the gate and hit what I could only assume was the doorbell. "Hello who is this" asked a man's voice I recognized it to be Frederick's voice, "Hey Mr Chase it's me Percy, I'm here to pick up Annabeth" "Percy, My god it's been a while come in".
I heard a buzzing noise and the gate started to open, when I parked my car I walked up to the front door and was about to knock when the door burst open and I was tackled by two tiny blurs. "Percy!" cried the blurs in unison, I rubbed my eyes and my vision cleared up to see to tiny kids with sandy blonde hair lying on top of me. "Hey Bobby hey Mathew it's been a while, man the last time I saw you two you were just over a year old" "Yeah now were seven and three quarters" Bobby replied proudly.
"Why don't you guys get off of Percy and say hello properly" Mr Chase called. The boys scrambled off of me quickly and dragged me inside, "We tell all our friends at school that we know you but they don't believe us" "Yeah, hey wait could you drive us to school one day so that we can show our friends that we know you" "I could do that if your parents are okay with it yeah" "Awesome" they yelled in unison. "Why don't you go upstairs and tell your sister that Percy's here" Mrs Chase instructed the boys. "Annabeth Percy's here" they called up without moving from the couch, "I'll be down in a sec".
"It's nice to see you again Percy, you have grown so much I can hardly recognize you except for those eyes" Mrs Chase hugged me. "It's nice to see you again to", just then Annabeth came down the stairs and I'd be lying if I didn't say that she looked drop dead gorgeous. She was wearing a simple grey V-neck T-shirt blue skinny jeans and grey ankle high converse. "As you know I have a meeting in Connecticut so I will not be hear when you come back"
"I know, I love you" she gave him a kiss on the cheek and turned to me. "You ready" I asked, "Yeah" "Ok lets go then" we headed out to my car and a series of byes and have funs followed Annabeth got into the passengers seat and I started back to my house.
