Last time: The family sent a rather rude call to Von.

Now: Oppie and Sasha look for a way off the planet.

Chapter 28- Oppie vs Von

Oppie and Sasha were half way through the third hour of retracing the Mandalorian's route. They had rested for a while after loading up the swoop bike before starting their journey. Her route had meandered towards them for three days before she had finally caught up with them, visiting the sites of the other encounters they had had. With the origination point in the navigation computer, they were heading directly there flying several meters above the tree line. For lack of any better options, they had latched themselves to the bike with rope as a primitive safety harness, since a fall from this height could easily be fatal. Behind him Sasha rested against his back, having fallen asleep a half hour or so into their journey. Oppie was tired, but he wanted to get off this rock as soon as possible, so that kept him going, flying the swoop as fast as he dared as they sailed above the trees.

After another several minutes, the bike brought them beyond the tree line and into a large open field. Before them was a large temple that looked like it hadn't been used or occupied in thousands of years. A tall conical structure made out of enormous blocks of stones towered out of the center. Behind the temple and in the middle of the open field, there were a couple of various ships and personal fighters that must have belonged to the bounty hunters.

Oppie slowed the bike, lowering their altitude so they could gain more cover. Something about this didn't feel right. And there were six ships, not just five here. So that meant there was someone else here, probably the Von character that had set all this up. Sasha moaned softly from behind him, but didn't wake when he slowed down or changed altitude. He set them down in the outskirts of the forest, trying to figure out how to approach this. He turned the bike off and looked over his shoulder.

"Sasha." He called softly.

She moaned again, her face scrunched up as if she was in pain, but it was most likely the fever from her infection making her feel miserable. However, this time she did stir, but still didn't wake.

"Sasha." He called a little more worriedly over his shoulder.

After a moment, she slowly peeled open her eyes and looked around in confusion and a daze as she remained resting against him. "Where… are we?" She asked in a croaked whisper.

"At a…" Oppie trailed off. "A temple, where their ships are. Are you okay?" He asked.

"Um… I feel tired and… and I don't know," she rambled as she was out of it. "I think the bacta… stopped working."

Oppie started undoing the knot that had secured the rope around them. "Here, before we head in there let's regroup here for a moment and you take another dose of bacta. Whichever of these ships we take should have a better first aid kit."

"Okay," Sasha mumbled against him, tiredly.

The rope slipped away as he undid the last of the knots. He carefully swung his legs around and stepped off the bike, careful to help support her as he did so. Sasha groaned softly as she didn't want to move so soon. She then held out a tired hand to him to help her off, which he took. She then carefully brought her broken leg over the bike seat, her leg feeling incredibly heavy as she had very little strength at the moment. Shifting her weight slightly, she climbed off the swoop bike, but her knees instantly buckled from under her as she couldn't hold herself up.

"Whoa." Oppie said as he caught her. "Here, just sit on the seat, let me get the bacta out." He said worriedly.

"Okay," she groaned as her broken leg burned from putting weight on it after so long of sitting. She then moved back and sunk down onto the bike seat with a sigh. Oppie dug out the pack that had their meager first aid supplies, he had purposely left it accessible at the top of the bags they had slung to the cargo racks on the bike. He dug out the case and zipped it open, taking one of the ampules out.

"Ready?" He asked.

Sasha nodded tiredly while wiping the trail of sweat from her warm forehead. He gently poked the head of the ampule against her shoulder to administer the medicine and rubbed the spot after discarding the ampule.

"We'll just rest here a minute or two before approaching the temple." He said.

"Alright," Sasha said, feeling the bacta rush through her system. He leaned back tiredly against the bike as well.

As they rested, there was suddenly the sound of heavy steps approaching them. Then from the brush as well as behind them four large labor bearing droids surrounded them and the bike with blasters at hand. Sasha tensed as she saw them approach, her hand trembling as it went for her blaster.

Oppie reached for his pistol but stopped when he realized how hopeless it was.

"Drop your weapons and surrender, Jedi," One of the droids before them said. "Or we will shoot."

Oppie slowly took his hand away from the pistol and put them up, glancing at Sasha in apology. Sasha met his gaze, fear in her eyes, as she moved her hand away from her blaster too. The other droid before them moved forward and pointed the blaster right at Oppie's chest.

"Remove all of your weapons and drop them on the ground now," the droid demanded.

Sasha looked at Oppie, unsure of what to do as one of the droids behind them came up behind her and pointed a blaster to her head.

Oppie slowly lowered his right hand and unclasped the strap that kept his blaster in its holster, pulling the blaster out and dropping it. Then he unslung the rifle from his back carefully and dropped it next to the pistol. Sasha followed suit by carefully removing her blaster from her holster and dropping it on the ground.

"Is that all?" The first droid asked.

"Yes." Oppie answered evenly.

With that, the second droid lowered it's blaster as it grabbed Oppie by his upper arm and started pulling him away from the speeder. The third droid did the same with Sasha and pulled her off the bike. Her legs buckled from under her again as she still didn't have all of her strength back yet. She cried out in pain.

"She's sick, she can't walk." Oppie implored the droids.

The third and fourth one exchanged a glance before the fourth grabbed Sasha by her other arm. Together the two of them hauled her up and helped her along while keeping an iron grip on her upper arms. Sasha let out a whimper as her right arm protested the movement and her left leg ached as the droids walked with her. The first one pointed it's blaster to Oppie's back.

"Get moving," it demanded. Oppie was shoved along as he tried to look back at Sasha.

The droids led the two of them towards the temple entrance. Once inside, they were brought into a large chamber with pillars that surrounded the room in a circular shape. At the opposite side of the room there was an elevated throne platform with a makeshift desk on it with a large chair that was facing away from them behind it. Near the desk was a set of monitors that overlooked various locations in the forest. So, he was watching them the whole time. And on the desk were three shining cylinders that were all too familiar. Their lightsabers.

The droids brought them up to the steps to the throne before coming to a halt. The one that was holding Oppie tightened its grip on his arm, but trained its blaster on him like the first was still doing. The other two still held Sasha up between them as she hunched over breathing heavily in pain as they were doing nothing to help her stand properly.

"Well well well, look who decided to show up?" A deep voice spoke from the chair. It turned around to reveal the man from the holo disk, Von Signa. He sat there smirking at them with a cheroot in the corner of his mouth. "I'll admit. I thought that when we would finally meet like this it would be when you two would be captured by one of my hunters and brought here so they could collect their reward. I didn't suspect you would kill them. I underestimated ya'll."

Oppe just glared at him, feeling such a wash of rage and hatred for the man he couldn't think of anything to say.

"But ya wanna know what the biggest surprise was?" Von asked as he stood from the chair and waltzed around the desk. "This little lady right here." He gestured to Sasha, who glared up at him. "My client told me that you had barely killed a damn thing before. Ya should have seen my surprise when you killed two of my hunters. Impressive, but still a pain in my ass."

Sasha snarled at him as tears burned her eyes, but she didn't answer him. What could she say if she did.

"Hell the both of ya are," he continued. "But since all my hunters are dead, that means I can be the one to collect the reward money for ya. Cause after all, I was just the referee here of this little hunt. Doesn't mean I couldn't play too. And yes, I was watching the whole thing play out. My client's gonna love the footage I send them, I tell you what," Von said as he stepped down from the throne and approached Sasha. He grabbed her by the chin and raised her head and gaze to meet his. "I must thank you for doing your part and give me my pay day."

Sasha closed her eyes and tried to avert her gaze, but he kept a firm grip on her chin.

"Leave her alone." Oppie demanded disgustedly.

Von looked over at him then back at Sasha. He let go of her chin and walked over to Oppie. When he got close, he pulled the cheroot from his mouth and stared down at Oppie. "You don't give the orders here, Jedi scum. I do. Now be a good little Jedi and shut up," he said bitterly before backhanding Oppie across the face.

"No! Don't hurt him," Sasha pleaded tiredly.

Oppie just turned to glare at him.

Von chuckled at Oppie's glare. "Man, who spat in your soup?" He asked jokingly before moving away. He put the cheroot back in his mouth. "Anyway, let me break down what's gonna happen next. I'm gonna call my client and show them I've got ya. Then they are gonna give me coordinates, I'm gonna drop you two off there, and I walk away starting an early retirement. And what you two are going to do is stand here like good little Jedi and don't try anything stupid." He then pointed at Sasha. "Or I will hurt her." He threatened while glaring down Oppie, knowing fully well that he might try something before Sasha would. At least in their current state.

"Screw you," Sasha bit back as she glared up at him.

Von looked at her, stunned for a second before bursting into laughter. "You've got guts, girl. I'll give you that. Even as weak as ya are right now, you sure do gotta fire in your belly." He then dropped the amused look. "But stop talking, I've got a call to make."

"No. And I know you won't hurt me. You need me alive to get paid," Sasha said, confidently.

Von looked at her for a moment, his expression neutral. He then made his way back over to her, leaned down to meet her gaze at eye level as he was taller than her, then cocked his head to the side amused. "They didn't say how alive you had to be," he said then looked at his droids. "Take care of her." He moved away and back towards the desk.

"Roger, roger," the fourth droid said.

It attached it's blaster to its hip before turning to face her. It then reared its arm back and brought a solid punch for her gut. Sasha gasped as she doubled over in pain as she felt a rib break. She coughed a few times. The last one she spat, and with her still feverish state, thought she saw some traces of blood come out with it as she tasted iron.

"No!" Oppie yelled as he struggled in the droid grasp.

Von looked at Oppie then at Sasha, who was wheezing from the hit. He knew fully well that he had won. So if Oppie wanted to check on her, he would allow it. Plus he didn't want to admit his droid may have hit her too hard. "Let him take care of her. Just don't let them escape," he ordered the droids as he waved his hand before turning his attention to his private commline.

The droids took that as their cue and released their grips on both Jedi, but still kept their blasters trained on them just in case. Sasha collapsed to the ground onto her side, holding her midsection as she whimpered in pain. That droid's punch was harder than she would have liked it to be. One of her already bruised ribs was now broken and painfully jabbing into her lung. She tried to take even breaths to calm down, but it hurt too much to breathe. Tears stung her eyes.

Seeing an opening, Oppie instantly threw himself backwards. The labor droids didn't have nearly the reflexes or the combat prowess of the battle droids he was used to. He was able to wrench the carbine around in its relatively loose grip and fire at the droid beside it, before pulling the carbine free. The first droid fell to the ground dead. Von looked up and behind at the droids and the Jedi with a snarl, but kept his attention on Oppie as he slowly reached into his long coat.

Oppie peppered him with a few bolts before trying to take out the droid that was guarding them. Von immediately leapt behind his desks for cover, avoiding the shots. The other droids turned to open fire on Oppie. Oppie backed away, firing wildly at the droid, trying to hit them as he tried to dodge their fire and draw it away from Sasha. One of the droids got hit with a couple of the blasts and crumbled to the ground. The other two moved towards Oppie, leaving Sasha forgotten on the floor. Oppie kept up the fire, trying to take the droids out, trying to keep moving so these slower, non-combat oriented droids couldn't get a lock on him. After a few more shots, the other two droids fell.

Oppie ran forward, shooting the desk, trying to get Von, or at least keep him covered. All the while trying to make it back over to Sasha. Von remained behind cover as he produced his blaster pistol from his coat. He watched in the reflection of the monitors for the opening. He didn't have it yet. But he raised his pistol, rested his finger near the trigger, and waited for the right moment.

"Sasha?" Oppie asked, getting to her side, looking at her curled up in pain, worriedly.

"It… hurts," Sasha moaned as she clutched her abdomen.

Von smirked as he saw the opening and moved from cover, dropping his cheroot in the process as took one last puff. He fired a series of three shots at Oppie while he was distracted with Sasha.

Oppie instantly raised his blaster, trying to fire at Von as one of the shots grazed his arm, but Oppie ignored the searing pain as he tried to defend himself and Sasha. Von continued to shoot at Oppie from behind his desk as Oppie knelt in front of Sasha, using some of the fallen droids as minimal cover.

Sasha watched the fire fight from the ground. From her angle, she could see an opening to hit the hunter from under the desk where Von was still hiding. She tried to find her voice to tell Oppie, but it hurt to even take a breath. Plus he was so focused on fighting at the moment, she didn't want to distract him. So she looked around and noticed one of the discarded droid blasters. Painstakingly, she crawled on her arms and her only good knee towards it. Wincing with every movement as every part of her that hurt, screamed at her to remain still, including her broken rib that moved with each movement she made. However, she wasn't going to stop. As soon as her hand could reach the blaster, she grabbed it, rolled back onto her side, and aimed a shot right under the desk at Von.

The shot flew true and hit Von square in the lower back. He cursed at the hit and stopped firing at Oppie for a moment as he grabbed his back. Thankfully, the blast didn't go through his armorweave coat, but it still hurt. He looked around his desk, trying to figure out how he was shot from under his desk.

Oppie shot a glance behind him at Sasha that was a mixture of worry and thanks, and then turned back to Von. He jumped up, running for the desk, keeping up a storm of fire the entire way to keep Von pinned down. Von remained pinned behind the desk, firing off a couple of blind shots as he couldn't see Oppie in the reflection of the monitors or when he attempted to glance towards Sasha where Op had once been. Oppie kept moving forward, only a few meters away from the desk as he ran forward to try to end this.

Von continued to fire blindly when he suddenly heard footsteps behind him. Knowing exactly what the Jedi was going for, Von rotated onto his heels, got a grip under the desk, and flipped it forward. The desk toppled over onto its side, sending all of the random items including the lightsabers flying across the room. That caught Oppie short as he tried to dodge all the debris that flew at him from the desktop, food containers, cheroot stubs, candy wrappers, all kinds of garbage, not to mention the desk itself.

With the Jedi distracted by that, Von proceeded to use the desk as leverage and launch himself over the desk at Oppie, tackling him to the ground. Oppie fell backwards as Von rushed into him, his blaster clattered away. They tumbled away for a moment with Von ending up on top of Oppie. He pinned the Jedi to the ground and leveled his blaster at Oppie's chest.

"I don't need you alive to get my money," Von growled as he put his finger to the trigger.

Sasha continued to watch them as she tried to calm her breathing enough so it didn't hurt. But as soon as she saw Von on top of Op, ready to kill him, Sasha moved without thought. Panic was setting in and she wasn't going to let Oppie die. She could still help, despite everything. Sitting up enough, she leveled the blaster she was still holding and fired a shot at Von. This one hit him in the arm and caused him to drop his weapon. He looked back at her with a growl as she leaned back on a propped elbow as she felt her broken rib stab her lung further, partially puncturing it. Now she really could taste blood.

Oppie took advantage of the distraction to punch Von savagely in the nose, trying to break it. Von looked back just as Oppie's fist connected. He fell off Oppie, holding his broken nose as blood seeped out. He glared up at Oppie before lashing out with a kick to Oppie's side. Oppie recoiled from the kick as he rolled away, getting to his feet. Von awkwardly staggered to his feet, still holding his nose. He pulled his bloodied hand away and curled his hands into fists. He charged forward with a right hook for Oppie's jaw. Oppie deflected it and tried to send his own right hook at Von.

Von dodged the punch and grabbed Oppie's arm. He twisted it around and sent a kick at Oppie's torso with the opening he made. The kick connected, sending Oppie back, doubled over. He wrapped his arms around his torso as if he was grievously hurt. Von smirked and went in for a left hook this time.

Oppie got the opening he wanted, and he lashed out with the knife, trying to meet Von's fist with the point of the blade. Von screamed out in pain as his fist connected with the blade tip, not expecting Oppie to still be armed. He looked down at his sliced hand and cursed under his breath before looking at Oppie. Reaching into his long coat, Von went to grab his knife. But it wasn't there. Looking back at the debris that flew off the desk, he noticed his knife among the garbage as he had stupidly left it out after his last meal. He cursed inwardly at that.

Oppie lunged forward, trying to slash at anything he could reach. The blade connected with Von's other arm, bringing his attention back to the fight. Von growled in pain before lunging forward, going after that knife, while also throwing a kick at Oppie's legs. Oppie caught his leg and slashed at his shin. Von bit back a yell as he felt his leg give out from the cut. He dropped to one knee, but lashed out with a swipe kick from his other leg to Oppie's legs as he spotted the opening.

Oppie staggered back slightly as the blow connected with his leg, but it was a weak blow, Von not having enough leverage. Oppie replied by kneeing him in the face. Von grabbed his face as he dropped onto his side, feeling more blood flow from his already broken nose. He lashed out blindly with another kick and swipe of his hand, hoping to hit Oppie as he covered his face with his other hand.

Oppie lunged down on him, savagely, and forced him over and stabbed him in the shoulder, where Sasha had received her claw marks. Von screamed as he grabbed the Jedi's wrist, trying to pull Oppie's arm and the blade away from his shoulder as blood seeped out. Then with a glare and a growl, Oppie pulled out the dirty pocket knife Von had left them, and stabbed him in the chest, aiming for the heart. Von gasped as the knife punctured through skin and between his ribs. He laid there, gasping and gagging as tried to reach for the smaller knife and pull it out. But more blood was leaking from this wound than the other, killing him slowly. Where the hell this savage nature came from, Von would now never know, but instantly regretted not being more prepared for it. After a second, his eyes rolled back as his breathing slowed.

Sasha watched the whole fight in shock. She had never seen Oppie like this before. This anger and frustration when fighting. He was always calm and collected in a fight, at least from what she had always seen. She sunk back down onto her side as she watched him deliver the killing blow, feeling a sense of relief wash over. But she also still felt every square inch of her in agony. The fever was the least of her worries now.

Oppie trusted the wound would kill him soon enough, and some part of him realized he shouldn't be feeling satisfaction from that. He got up and ran to Sasha's side, and that small part vanished as he saw the state she was in.

"Sasha.." He said, with a fearful grimace as he came to her side.

"Op…" She said weakly as she looked up at him from her side. "Is Von…?" She tried to ask.

"Dying, dead." Oppie said dismissively. "I, we…" He looked at her in a slight panic. "I need to go see if one of the ships has a medical kit." He said, staying at her side, not wanting to leave her.

"Is it over?" She asked, blearly as she carefully rolled onto her back to look up at him better. She instantly winced at that movement before coughing painfully at it, traces of blood forming at her lips.

But before Op could say anything, another voice spoke up. "Not a chance Jedi," a mechanical voice said from near the monitors. "I have been ordered to prevent your escape. You will not succeed." The silver droid pressed a button on the console and suddenly there was the sounds of explosions coming from outside, where the ships were parked. The monitors showed as the ships on the landing field blew up in a chain reaction.

"No!" He said, looking at their only chance for escape, their only chance for medical supplies. Oppie got to his feet and ran for the debris from the desk strewn across the floor, grabbing his main saber and slashing at the silver protocol droid.

The droid fell back, its body sliced by the lightsaber and deactivating. He stood there frozen for a moment, trying to figure out what to do. A sense of shock settled over him. Oppie absently grabbed the other two sabers and hurried back to Sasha, kneeling at her side, having no idea what to do.

"What… now?" She asked, weakly before coughing again. This time blood did bubble at her lips as she coughed, wincing at the broken rib. She whimpered at the pain as her breathing became more like wheezing.

"I don't know, I'm sorry." He said as tears came to his eyes. "I'm so sorry."

Sasha reached out for his hand, which he grabbed, holding it tightly. "Please, don't apologize," she whispered as tears came to her own eyes. "You did… nothing wrong."

He stared at her through tears, having no idea what to do. "I…" He stopped. "Maybe some medical supplies survived from one of the ships." He said hopelessly.

"Maybe," Sasha agreed as her eyelids started to grow heavier as she struggled to stay awake.

"Stay awake." Oppie pleaded, desperately.

"I'll try," Sasha said, doing what she could to stay awake. But everything hurt. Her shoulder felt numb. Her leg felt heavy. Her body felt fatigued from the fever. And her ribs… the terrifying thought of what was happening to her crossed her mind as she realized help may not be coming soon enough. "I'm scared…"

"It's going to be okay." Oppie said quietly. He desperately tried to think of something more to say, but he had no words. She was too sick, he had no way to treat her fever, no way to help her punctured lung. She needed a surgical suite, a doctor. All they had was another bacta ampule, and it wouldn't help this. A horrible, sinking feeling settled in his chest as he watched Sasha trying to hang on, to stay awake. And he had no more tricks, no more plays. And no more hope. And he tried to keep that from his face as he looked at her for what might be her last moments.

There was the sound of repulsors from outside the temple, and Oppie looked out the entrance, thinking it was a ship. Maybe another hunter, come to claim the reward.

"I'll be right back." He said, leaving her lightsaber at her hand and grabbing one of the blaster carbines discarded from the droids.

"Oh… 'kay," She mumbled as her head listed to the side. She was fighting so hard to stay awake, but she was feeling too weak to keep fighting.

Oppie ran for the entrance, hoping that it could be something to help. If it was another hunter he would kill them and take whatever supplies they had, and get them off this rock somewhere where she could get treatment. He just had to kill this next hunter. He made it to the entrance to the temple, looking out at the ruin of all the ships that had exploded, and peering through the smoke filled sky.

Oppie stood in shock as he saw the familiar shape of the Shadow Runner descending, circling looking for a clear spot to land. He ignited his saber and waved, trying to get their attention, and a U-Wing came down as well, closely followed by Kitsu and Illara's ship from the other side of the horizon. The Shadow came to a hovering stop above the debris strewn landing field and the ramp opened.

Viran stood there looking directly at Oppie, a look of relief on his face. He leapt down from the ramp and ran for Oppie. When he got close, he wrapped his brother up in a hug, relieved to see him.

"Thank the Force, you're okay," Viran cried as he hugged Oppie.

"Viran," Oppie said, "Sasha's sick, do you guys have the med kits?" Oppie asked desperately. Kyr and Cien came to the foot of the ramp in full armor, as Tac or QT kept the ship in a hover.

Viran pulled away and looked at him, blanching. "Kelce is here to help, but where is she?" He asked worriedly as he didn't see his wife with Oppie.

"In the temple," Oppie said, turning to lead him back in, then stopped and looked back as Kyr and Cien were rushing forward. "Get Kelce." He told them. Kyr just nodded as he spoke into his buy'ce, and the U-Wing came to a hovering stop close by.

The hatch of the U-Wing opened and Kelce and Nova hopped out. Kelce rushed over to Oppie and the others.

"Are you alright?" Kelce asked, looking over Oppie worriedly. "And where's Sasha?"

"She's inside, she is in bad shape." He said in a pleading tone, turning to lead them in.

Viran and Kelce followed closely behind Oppie as he led them inside. As soon as they spotted Sasha, Kelce took off into a sprint to her side. Viran followed in suit. Kelce knelt down beside her as he pulled his kit out. Sasha was unconscious now and her breathing was labored as blood pooled at her lips. Kelce pulled out a scanner and ran it over her body. He bit back a curse as he looked at what the scanner said. The scanner provided quite a list of things wrong, but the punctured lung was what made him curse.

"She's got a punctured lung," Kelce informed them. "She's losing oxygen." He reached into his pack and pulled out a life support kit and placed a breathing mask over her face that was connected to a small oxygen tank. The mask didn't fog up from her breathing, but the indicator on the small tank read that she was taking in oxygen. Or at least was trying too. He strapped the small tank to her chest before moving back to his kit.

Viran stood there visibly shaking as he didn't know what to do as Kelce said that. He then fell to his knees beside Sasha as tears fell. "No, no, no," he pleaded as he grabbed her hand as Kelce worked. "Breath hun. Please. I'm here."

Oppie was standing there in shock, not sure what to say. Kyr came over to his side and put a hand on his shoulder. Cien knelt next to Viran and did the same, putting a hand on his shoulder as well. Kelce reached into his kit and pulled out a series of vials including bacta and a couple of other medicines to help Sasha. When he looked up, he noticed Scamp and Nova entering with the stretcher. He looked over to Viran.

"Viran, I'm sorry to say this, but I need room to operate. I promise you can stay by her side once she is stable enough to move," Kelce informed him.

Kyr moved over to Viran's side. "Vir, come on." He said quietly.

"No, I'm not leaving her side," Viran cried out. "Not again." Tears were streaming down his cheeks.

"Viran, he just needs a little room so he can treat her. You don't need to leave." Cien said quietly.

Viran shook as tears fell, but he begrudgingly let go of her hand and slowly backed away. As Kelce administered the first shot, Scamp and Nova rushed in from behind them all with a stretcher. Nova clapped a hand to her mouth in horror when she saw Sasha's current state. Scamp just moved the stretcher over to her side where Viran had been and lowered it down. Kelce administered the last couple shots to help stabilize her. Once he was done he looked between Scamp, Kyr, and Viran.

"I'm going to need a hand. We need to move her onto the stretcher as delicately as possible," Kelce told them as he rolled up his sleeves. "Kyr across from me. Scamp and Viran get her lower half."

Viran, Kyr and Scamp immediately moved into place to help. Cien stepped aside to stand next to Oppie, who was frozen in shock. Kelce counted them off and as one they lifted Sasha up from the ground and onto the stretcher.

"Alright, we need to get her on board one of the ships," Kelce said, then looked at Kyr. "I'm taking her to the Shadow. Your ship is better stocked than mine is for something like this."

"No argument from me Doc." Kyr said, looking at him. He then turned to speak into his commline to Tac to bring the ship in for a proper landing at the temple entrance to meet them.

"Are you okay?" Cien asked Oppie, looking up at him as they prepared to move Sasha.

"Yeah." He said, just staring at Sasha on the stretcher.

Kelce packed up his gear and heaved it back onto his back before activating the lift on the stretcher to raise it from the ground. Kelce spotted Sasha's saber still on the ground. He grabbed it and set it down next to her on the stretcher. With the help of Scamp, he moved the stretcher away and towards the Shadow. Viran watched them go, unsure if he was allowed to follow.

"Go on Sport." Kyr said, looking at him. Viran just ran after them without as much of an acknowledging nod to Kyr. Nova followed behind him.

Kyr cast a look over to Von. "Op, who's that?"

"The one responsible for all this." Oppie said coldly.

"Ah." Kyr replied. "We'll leave him here for the vornskyrs. Come on."

Oppie started moving, Cien at his side, and Kyr brought up the rear, his rifle slightly up as he cast one last look around the inside of the temple.

As the three ships were boarded and taking back off into the atmosphere, a small beeping came from the monitors. Something had been uploaded and sent away just moments before Von Signa was killed. Most likely by his doid G3. But the upload wasn't what was causing the beeping. A message had come through.

I received the footage and will watch it soon. Well done, Signa. Rendezvous at Sector S-94 and you will be paid.
