Lucina poked her head into the library. "Did you hear about the wedding?"
"What wedding?" Link looked up from the book he was skimming.
"Samus and Daniel." Corrin answered, holding a notebook as she entered the room alongside Lucina. "It's an extra special occasion as today is also her birthday."
"Really?"
"Yes. Now then…" Corrin showed Link the contents of the notebook, it was a list of various food items. "Do you think the two of you could make all of this in time? It's later this evening."
"We can try, that's all I can tell you." Link responded, taking a picture copy of the notebook pages with his Slate.
Lucina and Corrin both seemed to accept this answer and they let Link leave the library.
"No."
"What, you don't like to sing? I thought you liked singing." Cloud looked up from a record of Christmas album.
"Still no." Link deadpanned, deciding to ignore Cloud for the time being.
"Leave him alone, Strife." Said Roy. "Besides, I think Min is going to keep him in the kitchens for a while."
"Again?" Mac asked. "I swear he's been living in there for the past few days!"
Link nodded, getting up from the chair he had been sitting in. "Corrin and Lucina gave me a list of food."
The others told him to go ahead and soon Link was in the kitchens once again. Min-Min stabbed a slab of meat with a large serving fork and turned to greet him. "You have a list? Let me see that… Whole day's worth of food on here… Starting with the breakfast section sounds good."
Luigi gazed at the coat receipt in his hand. He had had a brief moment of panic when he thought he had gotten the wrong gift, but thankfully the receipt had mislabeled them coat as a swimsuit. It has rang up as such, though, so he had saved money.
Luigi wasn't about to complain and he headed back to the manor with his gift for Samus in tow.
Once he got there, it was pandemonium - the wedding rings had been claimed to have been stolen from the locked cabinet they had been in for safe keeping. There was a riddle in the destroyed cabinet, though it seemed to be partially unwritten, as if whoever had written it had been in a hurry to not get caught.
Thankfully, most of the teenagers were already on the case, and they soon found the rings in the fountain outside in the courtyard. In the aftermath, it was revealed that due to thoughtlessness, whoever had decided to take the rings out of the cabinet and clean them had forgotten they had ever done so.
Several hours later, the wedding took place. Christmas lights were strung up everywhere in the courtyard. Food and drink was served, vows were said and the party dispersed after the ceremony ended.
One of the many gifts were tickets to that nightly ice skating show and everyone was invited. Some were hesitant, others were ecstatic, all of them went to the show and had a grand time.
Some said the show was "lacking" and "slow", others said it was "inspiring" for the team was actually actors, and it was a play disguised as a mere ice skating event.
Once everyone returned home to the manor, there was an incident with scissors, a mistake that ruined a lot of the wallpaper in one room. There was an attempt to salvage the wallpaper and situation and it was successful. Though those that caused said incident remained silent for a good few hours and were hesitant when they began to speak again.
There were complaints that the snow outside was dry and not well formed. These complaints were met with dry snow is common, and so after tests, the complaints stopped for a time.
Due to Snake and Samus having a "weapon competition", the unintentional smoke from their weapons spread quickly, causing those nearby to stumble into walls and empty rooms to be able to breathe.
In the music room, various teams had been formed and there was another competition, this one was to see who could perform the most random rhythms on drums. The call for dinner interrupted the groups and a winner was never chosen.
Finally, it was time for Santa to head home. He had gotten a divorce from Jessica and she had been thrown into jail. He wasn't sad, though, in fact he was rather happy. The old man hugged everyone at least once - some up to five times - and he climbed into his sleigh, then flew into the air, circled the manor a few times, and then vanished into the fog and snow.
Another year at the Smash Foundation had ended, but they wouldn't forget this one for a very long time.
