Hello dear readers. I am back from vacation so I'll start writing again and posting. I have quite a few stories to work on so bear with me.

Thank you for the reviews as of late. It really means a lot to me to know that people are still enjoying this story, what has become a passion project for me.

Recently I began to talk with a fellow writer. They go by the pen name Uissuteffu and posted their first story called, 'To Protect'. It is a lovely, well written Sess/Rin story and I encourage everyone to check it out.

The writer began it on this site but I believe is continuing it on A03 due to explicit, sexy content that I may or may not have scared them off from here when I said, 'sometimes fan fiction deletes chapters and stories for content'. So there's that.

As Rin made her way to her room where Sesshomaru was with the twins she watched for a moment Hotaru toddling slowly after Hisashi.

Her brother ran circles around her in the hallway as she tried to keep up. Giggling as she followed him around Rin smiled and gave out her own small laugh.

"Don't stay up to late you two." She said prompting both of them to look at her momentarily before resuming their game.

As of late it seemed Hotaru required less sleep staying up sometimes all night and well into the day before relenting for a nap.

Turning she saw Izumi standing in her doorway watching them as well.

"You can close your door if you like Rin. I will keep an eye on them tonight." She offered.

"Are you sure?" Rin asked. Izumi nodded her head with a small grin.

"Besides, I want to keep an eye on Chiase as well." Izu said her mouth turning down slightly.

"Alright. If you need me please do not hesitate to rouse me." She replied.

"I won't." Waving at her friend as she closed her door Rin made her way to the futon where Sesshomaru sat holding Yue.

He had her lying against his legs as he sat with his back against the wall and both of his knees bent up resting his feet on the futon.

Both father and daughter stared at one another with a similar expression of deep thought seeming to be assessing one another.

Sitting down Rin smiled as he blew a small puff of air across Yues head ruffling her fine hair.

Gasping for a moment and staring at him wide eyed he returned the expression before she began to let out a series of hiccuping gasps, she was laughing.

"You both look so much alike Lord Sesshomaru." Rin said softly causing her daughter to flick her eyes in her direction. At her voice Yuki began to make small noises from her basket before full on crying.

Lifting her out Rin sat beside her husband to nurse their youngest. Running her finger along her daughters cheek she listened out in the hall way as their two eldest played.

"I am worried about Chiase." Rin said. "She is so very despondent. When we first found her she didn't seem so but now she is not getting along well."

"Trust when I say she was not getting along well when we found her." Sesshomaru stated. "It would not have been long for her or her pup before they succumbed to death."

Rin swallowed hard at his words and sighed.

"Then I am glad that we found them when we did, that the Lady Mizuki appealed to Izu for help. Perhaps that is why she did, because she knew how close Chiase was to death."

"Hm." Sesshomaru replied musing over the idea of it.

"Chiase is different around Kino. Maybe we should encourage them to spend more time together." Rin thought out. "They have some sort of connection it looks like, maybe they will bond with one another with time."

"My concern is for the pup." Sesshomaru said. "It is not good that he has only been around his mother all of this time. He needs to be socialized before irreparable damage is done."

"What type of damage?" Rin questioned looking at him. Watching as he drew in a breath and held it for a moment he brought Yue closer to him.

"Withdrawn, unable to form close bonds with others…strange and weird." He said softly. Watching him closely Rin knew exactly what his worry was.

He was afraid that Chiases son would turn out the way he was. As Rin came to know more dog demons she understood that they were generally very sociable, somewhat mischievous, and overall curious.

She did see the curiosity and the mischievousness from time to time with Sesshomaru but he still kept somewhat to himself and was always in thought.

Scooting closer to her mate Rin rested her head against his arm.

"Chiases son will be just fine. We are all here for the two of them. There are more than enough pups to keep him very busy and sociable…but even if he were to be a little different there is nothing wrong with that." Rin said. "Actually he would fit right in with all of us, we are all a bit strange here."

Feeling him relax against her he turned to her resting his head against hers.

"Yes. I suppose you are right." He nearly whispered out smirking. After some time they traded off the girls so Yue could nurse as well.

"I have to ask you my lord about what occurred between the four of us in the east, you really are fine with it?" Rin queried resting her gaze on him.

"If I was not then Kohaku and I would not have entered the room." He replied.

"I was quite surprised to see you both there, I did not hear either of you enter." She smiled with humor in her eyes.

"When it became apparent that neither of you were going to return, Kohaku dismissed the hall. It was not very hard to find you. Kino had taken it upon herself to stand guard outside of your chambers and was not to silent when it came to expressing her…disappointment."

"I cannot tell if Kino is teasing me or if she genuinely wishes to be with me." Rin said.

"A bit of both." Sesshomaru retorted, amused. "I informed Kohaku of what was happening between the two of you and gave him the option to enter. I told him what to do; to not interfere unless he was invited to do so and not to spill his seed in you."

"I see. That makes sense now." Moving her eyes back down to their daughter she saw she had fallen asleep at her breast. "It was fun. I enjoyed being with both of them but it was not the same as when we are together."

"Agreed." Sesshomaru said.

"I liked watching you with Izumi while I was with Kohaku." Rin said after a few moments had passed.

"Well, I certainly don't think either will object if you were to express more interest in either of them." He replied.

"Maybe, I don't know." Rin shrugged her shoulders. Placing Yue down beside her sister in their shared basket she covered them with a small blanket allowing her hand to linger on their forms for a moment before withdrawing.

Standing on the top step of the futon she untied her yukata allowing it to drop down. "Would you watch again? Do you want me to be with Izumi…Kohaku?"

Suppressing the growl that threatened to erupt he knew Rin was playing one of her games to get him excited, not that it took much. It had been some time since she had had the desire or the energy to do so after her pregnancy with the twins.

"In whatever position you would have me mate." He answered back wanting to see her response. Watching the slow sensual smile cross her face he knew she was more than up to his little challenge.

Running her hands down her breasts as she hummed softly she closed her eyes.

"I would want you to watch. I love it when you have your eye on me when I am pleasured or do so to myself." She replied. At that his growl came out as a soft purr that rumbled from his chest.

Opening her eyes Rin ran her hands down further resting against her curves, moving across her stomach that still bore the marks of carrying his children before she dipped down two of her fingers lower rubbing the outside of her folds.

"No one will ever excite me the way that you do my love or ignite the flame I hold for you." He said as her eyelids fluttered to half mast. Kneeling down on the futon she crawled to him straddling his lap with her legs resting on either side of him.

"Mine." She whispered out swiping her hand down his cheek and dancing her fingers across his jaw before moving up his other side.

"All yours." He replied just as softly wrapping his arms around her tightly. Pulling towards him he thought she was going for a kiss only to draw her tongue up his cheek.

Closing his eyes he felt his demon energy thrum causing an intense heat in his head while his extremities suddenly seemed to go numb.

When Rin backed off and Sesshomaru opened his eyes she saw the red tinged with teal pupils. His marks had become more vibrant and sharper, jagged.

Reciprocating the gesture he turned her over onto her side tossing off his own yukata. With one of her legs still around his waist she gripped his shoulders as he thrust into her from the angle she was in.

Tossing her head back and moaning loudly she felt her insides constrict around him. In all of the weeks they had been at the eastern palace they had not mated.

Now as he pushed himself into her and felt his claws dig into the meat of her hips she inhaled his scent deeply loving how he always smelled but especially when they were intimate.

"Sesshomaru, my love, yes." She felt her eyes roll into the back of her head as she was able to get enough friction to have her sweet spot stimulated against his groin.

Burying her face against his torso she held onto his shoulders tightly. Kissing at the muscle that coiled with each rut back into her she began to pant.

Moving her face away she gasped for air between her moans. Entangling her fingers in his hair she bucked her hips forward meeting him.

Growling out his pleasure his thrusts became sharper and more intense.

"Rin…my beautiful Rin. You feel so good, always."

"So don't you….always." She managed out before she hit her climax. Shouting out as his length continued to drive more pleasure from her body she dug her nails into his flesh.

Changing position slightly he got her to sip up again as he rocked her hard against him. "I can't…ah! It's too much!"

Tossing her head from side to side he took in her flushed, sweaty appearance as he pulled her against him one last time before stilling her.

Growling and panting he pulled her down to him holding her against him as he felt his orgasm erupt with in her. Running his claws and fingers through her hair as long drains of his seed filled her he felt her hands on his face.

Glancing down at her he saw her looking up at him with her round brown orbs that had always held so much admiration and love for him.

Sighing deeply he held her gaze relaying every ounce of love and gratitude he could. Smiling at him softly he knew Rin got the message.
