Hey, apologies this chapter has taken a little longer than I originally thought to get posted. It turned out a bit longer and what I had planned I've had to carry over onto the next chapter XD I felt that was the right choice as I didn't want to cram it all into the end of this one and it turned out rushed or anything. So this chapter has turned out as a sort of filler.

Lord demon: Thanks for the idea, but I already have the rest of the story planned out.
BlazingCourage: I've not managed to see all of part 4 but from what I have seen of it it's good :)
RSBCS: Thanks :) They haven't discovered a way to stop the antivirus, and don't worry Leomon and co are on the way!
K-fanfics: I was planning on including Willis' children but I decided against it as it might have become a bit more crowded with everyone if that makes sense XD Yeah I liked your little plot twist :)
Sync The Dragon Tempest: Thanks :) Hope the battles don't disappoint!
DinoGuy2000: Thanks, yeah the battles are heating up now :)
Sweet Cari: Aw thank you :) Yeah Sora's not far off now, she'll soon be joining the fight.
Greymon Leader Batx flashpoint: aww thank you ^^
ShipperOfAHundred: lol I love Chicken Run! XD Yeah Sora's not going to hold back when she arrives
Yokai Watch: I've decided against Sora having another baby, I explained why earlier on in the story. I don't think I came up with a name for the dog when he was mentioned.
Luca16: Thanks. No it's not a bad idea :) Coming soon Dawn will be tested in a way so we may see a different side to her then.

Thanks to everyone else who reviewed, faved etc.!

Digimon 2.5 "Adventure 03"

Episode 51: "When a Plan Comes Together"

.:No. 6 Battery Island, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

In one of the highest rooms in one of the towers of Myotismon's castle, Wisemon was alone; meditating. He was levitating over his book. His legs were crossed and his hands were resting in his lap as he remained in his relaxed trance with his eyes closed. Opening a portal to the human world had taken up a lot of his power, and he was using this time to recuperate and build his strength up again. He knew Myotismon would call upon him when the battle against the DigiDestined would reach its climax, and he wanted to be ready for when that time came.

His meditation did not last, and his concentration was broken when a small breeze blew past him through the small window. Wisemon slowly opened his eyes to see a small bat had entered the room, but it soon transformed back into the form of Myotismon. Immediately, he noticed the vampire Digimon did not look at all pleased. "Something wrong my lord?"

"Those DigiDestined are gaining an upper hand." Myotismon growled in response and he walked back over to the window and looked out. "Imperialdramon is destroying my army as we speak. I must begin my search for the chest before it's too late."

"Do not forget my lord that the X Digimon were merely the bait to lure the DigiDestined out. The real power comes from the Nightmare Six and yourself. We have some of the DigiDestined captured already, which will significantly weaken the rest of them and it will only be a matter of time before they fall. In fact, ShadowSeraphimon has just returned with the child of Courage."

Myotismon froze, before he turned his head to look across towards Wisemon. "The child of Courage you say?" he said with a small sly smile appearing on his face. "Hmm… ShadowSeraphimon might have just saved me a lot of work…"

"Put these two with the others," ShadowSeraphimon ordered SkullMeramon X. "And be careful, they are quite aggressive."

SkullMeramon X approached the member of the Nightmare Six. He chuckled as he looked down at Dawn and Agumon who were still struggling hopelessly against ShadowSeraphimon's grip. "I remember these two… they escaped from me earlier. But don't worry, I won't let them escape this time…" he said as he prepared to launch his chains at them…

"That won't be necessary!"

Both ShadowSeraphimon and SkullMeramon X stopped and turned around to see Myotismon, accompanied by Wisemon, standing at the top of the stairs at the opposite side of the room. "My lord," ShadowSeraphimon greeted, bowing.

The vampire Digimon began to make his way down the stairs, as Dawn glared at him. "Good work ShadowSeraphimon," he said once he had reached the bottom. "These two are particular sneaky; it must have taken a lot of skill to capture them. But I don't want them with the others. I want these two were I can keep an eye on them." He added, narrowing his eyes as he looked down at the ten year old girl.

"You're not gonna win Myotismon," Dawn shot back. "Whatever it is you have planned, it's not gonna work."

Myotismon chuckled. "You have no idea what I have planned. It will be beyond your worst nightmares, and once I have that chest; all will be revealed." He then raised his right hand, and clicked his fingers.

The room shuddered, and a large slab of the ceiling slid open just above where Myotismon's coffin lay against the wall at the back of the room. From above, a metal cage shaped similar to a bird cage, was brought down. It stopped a few feet above the coffin, hanging only a by a single metal chain.

The next thing Dawn and Agumon knew they were being thrown inside the cage by ShadowSeraphimon, with the door slamming shut behind them, which then instantly locked itself. "Hey let us go!" Dawn demanded, grabbing hold of the bars of the cage.

"Pepper Breath!" Agumon spat out his fireball attack, in an attempt to melt the bars. But the attack broke apart and fizzled out upon hitting the cage.

Myotismon chuckled. "I'd save your strength. Did you think I would trap you two in a cage that could be easily penetrated by a rookie Digimon? These bars are made from the strongest metal in the Digital World." He said as his eyes shifted in Agumon's direction. "It's going to take a lot more than even a Greymon's Nova Blast to break free from here."

Wisemon floated up behind Myotismon. "My lord, are you still planning on beginning your search for the chest?"

"There's been a change of plan Wisemon." Myotismon replied with a sly smile as he continued to stare at Dawn and Agumon. "Why waste a perfectly good night looking for that chest, when it can now be brought to me..."

Dawn's eyes widened a little as Myotismon turned his back on her and left the room; laughing quietly to himself, and leaving her and Agumon alone with SkullMeramon X…

.:Tokyo Bay, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

Sparks ignited as Omnimon's sword and Dianamon's staff clashed repeatedly. Despite there being a significant size difference in the two weapons, Dianamon's was holding out surprisingly well against the mighty Grey Sword.

Tai and Matt were standing on the ice, watching on as Dianamon continued to swipe her staff repeatedly in an attempt to tire her opponent out.

Omnimon swiftly raised his sword, blocking yet another attack. "Transcendent Sword!" he slashed his Grey Sword from right to left, unleashing a powerful shockwave. It hit Dianamon with full force and she was thrown back, knocking her off balance. "Supreme Cannon!" Omnimon thrust his right arm forward and immediately fired absolute zero shots from his Garuru Cannon.

The shots struck Dianamon all over her body, instantly freezing her solid. She seemed motionless for a few moments just floating in midair, before her body began to shake and she broke free, showering Matt and Tai in shards of ice. She cackled. "Did you seriously think you could defeat me with an ice attack? Look around. I preside over the water and ice!" she raised her hands, summoning large chunks of ice from the bay before she fired them directly at Omnimon.

Omnimon backed away a little and swung his sword, slashing through the first chunk of ice. It split it in two, and the two pieces landed on the frozen bay either side of him. But before he had chance to defend himself again, the second chunk of ice slammed straight into him, breaking into pieces on contact. The force from the hit threw Omnimon to the ground.

"Omnimon!" Matt shouted as his partner slid to a halt on the ice.

Dianamon cackled to herself as Omnimon got back up onto his feet. "I must say for a fused Digimon you certainly are weaker than I thought."

"C'mon Omnimon, I know you've been out of the game for a while but you're not that rusty!" Tai exclaimed.

"I'm just warming up." Omnimon replied; his eyes firmly fixed on Dianamon. "Don't worry; I'm not going to lose this fight. She might think she's strong but her arrogance might just be her downfall."

.:Tokyo Tower, Minato, Tokyo:.

"Positron Laser!" Imperialdramon fired a blast from the canon on his back, taking out a group of four Pteramon X that had been heading straight for him in the sky. He descended down a little as he approached Tokyo Tower, firing another shot. The laser beam thundered down towards the ground, splitting itself into three separate beams and destroying the three Cerberumon X who had been roaming around the foot of the tower. He continued on, annihilating each and every member of Myotismon's X army who were in his sight.

CannonBeemon X, Mekanorimon X, BlackRapidmon X and Tankdramon X were to name a few more Digimon that also succumbed to Imperialdramon's Positron Laser. Three Garbagemon X who had been terrorising a group of people were soon blasted to pieces as he passed by overhead.

"Keep going Imperialdramon, you're doing great." Ken praised as they continued on above the streets of the Minato region. He then glanced to his left and noticed Davis was staring off into space; his thoughts elsewhere other than their current task in hand. "Hey don't worry," he tried to reassure. "At the rate we're going we'll have destroyed Myotismon's army before morning."

Davis sighed. "Morning is still a long way off though. It's hard to keep focused knowing Myotismon has our friends captured. Mika probably has no idea what has happened…"

"I understand. But Izzy will be coming up with a plan right now. Once we've taken care of the X army we can then focus on rescuing the others." Ken replied before he looked ahead. "Is this area clear Imperialdramon?"

Imperialdramon fired one last shot at a lone BlueMeramon X. "I think so. There's no more Digimon I can see here." He replied. "Let's move on to Odaiba." He made his manoeuvre in the sky, turning back around in the direction he had come from. He soared past Tokyo Tower once more, heading for Tokyo Bay.

But then out of nowhere, a large lightning bolt thundered across the sky horizontally; blocking Imperialdramon's path and causing him to come to a sudden stop. The abrupt stop knocked Davis and Ken off balance and they both stumbled forward falling to their knees.

"What was that?" Davis asked, getting back up onto his feet.

"Your journey ends here DigiDestined." A voice boomed across the sky.

Davis and Ken both turned their heads to the left, and saw Tactimon floating in the sky a few hundred yards away. His arm was still outstretched from when he had fired the lightning bolt from his huge Sword of Storms, with the tip still smouldering. "That's funny. We could say the same about you." Davis shot back. The two men then turned their heads again as they heard someone chuckle. ChaosGallantmon was floating a similar distance away to the right of them.

"Our lord was not happy to witness his army being wiped out," the dark warrior Digimon said. "Especially from the same Digimon that was responsible for his previous demise."

"Oh so he's told you about our past encounters?" Imperialdramon replied. "I'm touched."

Tactimon narrowed his eyes, his sword still pointing at the mega Digimon. "He has told us of the struggles he has endured during our absence and now that we are reunited we intend to assist him in successfully destroying you DigiDestined once and for all."

"Huh? Reunited?" Ken thought aloud.

Davis clenched his fists. "That's never going to happen!" he protested. "It's 2-0 to us, and we're soon gonna make it a hat trick!"

The sports metaphor had gone completely over the two Digimon's heads. "We cannot allow you to go any further." ChaosGallantmon said. "Our lord has ordered your Digimon's destruction, and you two must accompany us back to his castle where some of your friends are already waiting."

Davis felt his anger rise at the mention of their friends, and more specifically; his son. "Imperialdramon… time to show these two what you are made of."

Imperialdramon descended down a little to allow Davis and Ken to jump off his back and on to the roof of one of the highest buildings. He then rose back up so he was back in between the two members of the Nightmare Six as his body began to glow…

"IMPERIALDRAMON MODE CHANGE TO… FIGHTER MODE!"

The light faded, and Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon were both surprised to see Imperialdramon had changed somewhat. He was now an ancient dragon man type Digimon, resembling a more humanoid version of his previous dragon mode. His Positron Laser cannon from his back was now equipped to his right arm. "Sorry to disappoint but Myotismon is going to be waiting an awful long time before he sees my data in pieces." He mocked. He then suddenly soared up higher into the sky.

Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon both growled before following him, also ascending higher. But they were forced to break formation when Imperialdramon suddenly pointed his cannon downwards and fired two shots. They both successfully dodged the attack, which thundered down and exploded in the middle of the street below; one shot blasting a hole in the road and the other destroying two parked cars.

"Damaging Pierce!" ChaosGallantmon was the first to attack. He lunged upwards attempting to impale Imperialdramon with his spear.

But Imperialdramon was too quick and swiftly jumped out of the way. He then swung his right leg around; unleashing his Dragon Kick attack against ChaosGallantmon's back.

Tactimon roared as he soared up just above the dragon man Digimon, raising his sword above his head as it began to gather up energy. "Ultimate Tactic!" he swung it down aiming for Imperialdramon's head…

Imperialdramon quickly spun his body around and raised his left arm, blocking the attack. He grunted a little in pain as the sword struck with such force. But it didn't faze him as he thrust his cannon into Tactimon's abdomen. "Positron Laser!" he immediately fired, blasting the demon man Digimon clear from him.

Down below on the roof top, Davis and Ken could only watch on as their partner engaged in the fight; the sky lighting up after every attack was unleashed…

.:Tokyo Port, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

Whamon slowly edged his way out of the old boating shed he had been resting in since his unexpected arrival to Odaiba yesterday. He cautiously looked around his surroundings in the abandoned part of the port. Something wasn't right. The ice that Dianamon had created across the bay earlier that afternoon had gradually been spreading, and it had now reached the port and was slowly making its way towards the boating sheds. Whamon immediately suspected that wasn't usual, added to the fact Izzy and Joe had promised they would both visit him and neither had showed up yet, he was convinced something had happened.

He edged out a little further. After resting for over a day his injuries had pretty much healed, and he felt a lot stronger than he had upon arriving. But he still acted with caution as he began to leave the boat shed. He suddenly stopped and froze when a shadow passed by overhead. He sunk a little into the water and watched as the bird like figure soared by and perched itself on top of a shipping container on the opposite side of the water. Whamon slowly began to move backwards…

As the sun had almost set, the lack of light made it difficult to make out who it was. After what Whamon had witnessed back in the Net Ocean, he was afraid it was one of the Digimon Myotismon had released. All that could be made out was its large wings, long tail and small arms. The Digimon apparently hadn't noticed Whamon when it had flown over, as it currently had its back to him as it looked out across the port.

As Whamon was almost back inside his boating shed, the Digimon suddenly turned around; seemingly looking straight at him. Whamon gasped, and in a panic he threw himself back inside; causing a large gush of water to flow out from the shed.

The Digimon, who was Reptiledramon X, spread his wings and leapt off the shipping container. He glided down through the air and landed on the end of the pier that ran alongside the shed; his eyes still fixed on Whamon who was backed up as far as he could. Reptiledramon X snarled, and began to make his way slowly towards the sea animal Digimon.

Whamon held his breath, his body paralysed with fear as the X Digimon approached him spreading his wings out preparing to attack…

"Subzero Ice Punch!"

All of a sudden, just as Reptiledramon X had almost reached the boating shed, he was frozen solid. Whamon blinked, a little surprised…

"Fist of the Beast King!" From the opposite side of where the ice attack had come from, an aura shaped like a lion's head sliced through Reptiledramon X's frozen body, shattering it into tiny pieces.

Whamon blinked again, stunned as he watched the pieces of ice hit the ground and disintegrate into tinier pieces of data. He edged out of the shed again, and looked to his right to see Frigimon appear from behind one of the sheds. And to the left, Leomon was standing on top of one of the shipping containers. "Frigimon… Leomon, what are you doing here?" Whamon asked, relieved to see familiar faces. He swam further out stopping by the side of the pier.

"We have come to help the DigiDestined." Frigimon replied as he reached the sea Digimon.

Leomon leapt off the shipping container and landed on the pier, next to Frigimon. "Myotismon has invaded the human world. He is here with an army of X Digimon. They are patrolling the streets as we speak."

"Was that one of the X Digimon you just saved me from?" Whamon asked.

"Yes," Leomon replied. "Frigimon and I both landed nearby and saw Reptiledramon X come this way. He was only a champion level Digimon so we decided to take care of him before he had chance to get away."

"And just in time too." Frigimon added.

"Thank you," Whamon bowed his head.

"You're welcome. Now, you should rest some more. From what I heard you took quite a beating yesterday." Leomon said.

"I'm fine. I'm well rested. Joe is a remarkable doctor. But if the DigiDestined are in trouble then I want to help as well." Whamon proclaimed.

"I don't think that is a very good idea Whamon," Leomon advised. "If Myotismon finds out you are here he will not hesitate in destroying you knowing you escaped from him before. You should stay here where you are hidden."

"Don't worry; there are plenty of us here to help." Frigimon said.

Leomon nodded. "We've already lost Centarumon to Myotismon; we don't want to lose anymore good Digimon." He then turned to Frigimon. "We should hurry and meet with the others then we can discuss our plan of action."

As the two champion Digimon bid Whamon goodbye, he watched as they both left; disappearing behind one of the shipping containers. He turned his attention back to the ice that was slowly creeping even closer towards him. Even though he understood what Leomon was getting at, he still felt he couldn't just hideaway whilst the DigiDestined were fighting against Myotismon and his army. They had protected the Digital World when it was in danger, so it was only right he could help defend their world now it was under threat…

.:Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

"You should stay here until its safe," Stacey instructed her mother. They were both standing in the reception area of the hotel whilst Gabumon and SnowAgumon guarded the door. "Stay indoors. I'll come back once this is all over with." She turned to leave, but she felt herself being tugged back a little as her mother reached out grabbing her arm.

"Wait…" Kana said softly as she loosened her grip. "Be careful. I know what these Digimon can do from the stories your father used to tell me. I don't want to lose you now that I have been given a second chance to be a mother to you."

Stacey remained still, her eyes fixated on the floor as her mother let go of her arm. "I will," she said quietly. "I'll be back… I promise." She hesitated for a moment after she spoke those words; a little surprised they had left her mouth. She'd heard those two words before; spoken by her mother on the day she had left…

'I'll keep in touch, I promise…"

Stacey quickly left, hurrying out of the door and leaving her mother alone inside. A strange feeling overcame her as she, and her partners, walked away from the hotel and stepped onto the Symbol Promenade Bridge. She had made a promise to her mother…. She questioned herself if it was something her mother deserved right now. After all she had made a similar promise six years ago, and was quick to break it. She had given her mother that second chance… but there was a long road ahead for both of them. The trust had to be built back up again. Stacey had put up a guard over the years, and she wasn't going to let it down so easily.

Gabumon looked up at his partner, as she had come to a stop in the middle of the bridge; just staring down at the ground lost in her thoughts. "Are you okay?"

"… I'm fine," the Ishida girl finally replied quietly.

"Are you going to tell your father she's here?" SnowAgumon asked.

Stacey bit her bottom lip. "No, not yet." She said. "Maybe once all this is over with I will…. He's got too much to deal with right now, and the last thing he wants to find out is that his ex wife is in town."

As they were about to head back across the bridge to the TV Station, the sound of a faint 'boom' stopped them in their tracks. Stacey immediately checked the area for any X Digimon, with her two partners standing protectively around her. The bridge, as well as the street below, was empty.

Another boom was heard, and SnowAgumon turned his head to look in the direction of Tokyo bay. "It sounds like it's coming from over that way."

Stacey ran, with her partners following close behind heading away from the TV Station. They made their way down the bridge and past the entrance to Aqua City mall. Stacey paused as they crossed over the street; checking to see if anyone was around, although there were only a few people hurrying down on the sidewalk below. They carried on, reaching the end of the bridge at Odaiba Seaside Park, which gave them a full view of the bay. Stacey was a little taken back at how different Tokyo bay looked covered in ice. She had seen reports on the television but it was nothing compared to looking at it up close. As she gazed across the frozen water, her eyes soon fell upon Myotismon's castle on the battery island in the distance. She stared at it, feeling a tinge of fear as it dawned upon her even more that this was actually happening; he was here.

"Look!" Gabumon exclaimed, breaking the Ishida girl from her thoughts.

Stacey broke her stare from the castle and turned to see where her partner was pointing at. "Omnimon…" she gasped under her breath as she caught sight of the warrior Digimon out on the bay. But he wasn't alone. He was accompanied by another Digimon, who at that moment launched an attack. Stacey guessed this Digimon could only be one of the Nightmare Six; which meant one thing…

Her father was in trouble.

.:Tokyo Bay, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

"Double Shot!" Omnimon fired continuous shots of fire and ice from the WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon heads as he pursued Dianamon across the bay. Each shot he fired missed, with one shot blowing up one of the small boats that had been wedged in the ice. He flew after her heading straight for Rainbow Bridge. As they approached, Dianamon disappeared behind one of the pillars and before Omnimon could react she reappeared to his right and tackled him.

"Arrow of Artemis!" she pulled an arrow of ice from her back and immediately fired it, striking Omnimon on the shoulder. She then fired up her staff with energy and released an almighty burst of power, which blasted him head on. The force was so powerful it threw him quite a way back.

"Watch out!" Tai shoved Matt out of the way, and both of them tumbled onto the ice; just missing a collision with Omnimon as he crashed down, sliding to a halt. Tai cringed as he landed on his injured arm, and he felt the ice shudder from Omnimon's impact. He looked up to see his partner slowly getting back up as Dianamon appeared above him. "Omnimon's not making the slightest dent in her..."

"She's too quick," Matt replied as he pushed himself up. "Her defensive is strong. Omnimon's best chance is to catch her off guard, but that's not going to be easy as she's anticipating every attack he throws at her."

Omnimon growled as he got up, and engaged in battle once more swinging his sword multiple times.

Dianamon chuckled to herself as she easily dodged each swipe. She waited for a gap in his onslaught before she thrust her staff forward and blasted him from point blank range, knocking him off balance. She then soared forward and swung her staff; striking him across the side of the head, which stunned him.

Omnimon collapsed out of the air, dropping to his knees onto the ice. He was a little dazed from the sudden blow to the head and was trying to refocus. He could hear Matt and Tai calling out to him, although their voices were sounded muffled.

Dianamon chuckled as she ascended up over Omnimon. She raised her staff above her head, and the clouds in the sky suddenly parted revealing the moon behind. "You had your chance to surrender yourself to our lord but now you're going to watch your partner destroy himself…. Crescent Hook!" Using the power of the moon, she began to cast her spell which would bewitch Omnimon into believing he himself was the enemy…

But before Dianamon had chance to cast the spell completely, Whamon suddenly burst out from underneath the water in a surprise attack through the large hole in the ice. He tackled Dianamon, knocking her out of the air and dragging her down into the water as he broke through the ice; both disappearing from sight, and breaking the spell before it had chance to begin.

"Whamon?! What's he doing here?" Matt exclaimed, as Omnimon got back up onto his feet.

Underneath the water Dianamon was struggling against Whamon. The sea Digimon had bitten down on her staff and was now retaining a firm grip on it. The more Dianamon struggled to free it, the more frustrated she became.

Above the water, Omnimon flew over to the gaping hole in the ice where Whamon had broken through. He could just make them out through the deep water and could see their friend was struggling against the member of the Nightmare Six. He pointed his cannon down, aiming it precisely at Dianamon. Once the timing was right; he fired. "Supreme Cannon!"

Dianamon yanked at her staff, finally releasing it from Whamon's mouth. She took no hesitation in pointing it directly at the larger Digimon and prepared to annihilate him. At that moment, Omnimon's Supreme Cannon attack burst through the water, and still retaining its speed it struck her with almighty force on the shoulder. The attack stunned her and she began to sink down to the depths of the bay…

Whamon quickly swam back up to the surface, and broke through the water just beside the edge of the ice where Tai and Matt were now standing. "Whamon, are you okay?" the bearer of Courage asked.

"What happened? Where is she?" Matt demanded anxiously as he stared into the water.

His question was quickly answered when there was an explosion from behind them as Dianamon burst out from underneath the ice, returning to her position in the air and grasping her staff tightly in both hands. "I may rule over the ice and water but I don't like getting wet." She snarled, her eyes narrowing in Whamon's direction. "I remember you… you're the one who was spying on us back in the Digital World. I thought we had destroyed you…" She pointed her staff down. "I won't fail in doing so this time…Our lord told us to destroy anyone who helps the DigiDestined!"

Omnimon swiftly dropped down in the air protectively in front of the sea Digimon. "You're going to have to go through me first." He warned.

Dianamon growled, gritting her teeth. "No problem. There's nothing stopping me casting my Crescent Moon attack again-ahh!" she suddenly screeched in pain as something blasted her from behind; striking her in the centre of her back. She spun round and looked down to see Stacey standing a few hundred yards away with ZeedGarurumon next to her; the cannon on his back still smoking from the attack he had just fired. "More of your friends?" she scoffed, turning to fully face Stacey and her partner. "No matter how many of you show up you still won't be able to defeat me!" she raised her staff above her head. "With the power of the moon my strength is immense and unmatchable! I'll take you all out, one by one… starting with you two!"

"Transcendent Sword!"

Dianamon froze, her eyes widened in shock as she felt her body suddenly become paralysed. She slowly looked down to see the Grey Sword poking out of her chest. Omnimon was behind her, having taken the opportunity of her turning her back on him to impale his sword straight through her body from behind. "Why you…. You…" she gasped out, dropping her staff.

Omnimon swiftly withdrew his sword from her body, leaving a gaping hole in her chest, which was slowly getting bigger as her data fragments began to corrode away.

"You sneaky little…. You won't get away with this… Ahhhhh!" Dianamon's scream echoed across the bay as her body exploded into a shower of data, soon followed by her staff that lay on the ice, which crumbled away.

Once she was gone, Matt immediately ran across to where his daughter was standing as Omnimon dropped down onto the ice before de-digivolving back into Agumon and Gabumon. "Stacey!" he exclaimed upon reaching her. "What are you doing here? I told you to stay at the TV Station." He said resting his hands on her shoulders.

"I know I'm sorry Dad. Things got a little… complicated." Stacey replied, avoiding her father's gaze at first. "But I saw you were in trouble."

"One down, five more to go…" Agumon commented as the rest of them approached the father and daughter.

"We told you her arrogance would be her downfall." Gabumon added. "She was so preoccupied giving her little speech that she completely let her guard down and allowed us to attack her from behind."

"That must have been her weakness." Whamon said.

Matt stood up straight, still resting a hand on his daughter's shoulder as he turned to Tai. "We should head back to Izzy's lab before we run into anymore trouble."

"You go ahead; I still need to find Dawn." Tai replied. He turned to leave, but was stopped when Matt reached forward and grabbed his arm. "Hey!"

"Tai, I'm not letting you go off again. We need to regroup back at Izzy's lab and come up with a plan. We wouldn't have been caught up in that fight with Dianamon if you hadn't of snuck out in the first place." Matt explained as Tai shrugged him off. "I know you're worried about Dawn. Trust me, I know how that feels. But we need to plan out our attack if we want to rescue the others. Running off in haste is only going to end up in getting yourself captured, and you're not going to be able to help Dawn if you're stuck in Myotismon's dungeon are you?"

Tai sighed. He knew Matt had a point. He and Agumon wouldn't stand a chance if they ran into anymore of the Nightmare Six… but he still felt anxious that his daughter was somewhere in the city, and after finding her digivice in the park it had only added to his worry knowing if she ran into any trouble, Agumon wouldn't be able to digivolve. "Fine…" he reluctantly agreed.

"I'll stay close by in case you need my help." Whamon announced.

Matt nodded in response. "Okay, be careful Whamon."

As Whamon disappeared back underneath the water and the group made their journey across the ice towards the Minato region, they had been unaware Myotismon had been watching from his castle. He was standing on the bridge that joined the two tallest towers together. He had been there for a while, and had witnessed Dianamon's demise… He was now one member of the Nightmare Six down. They were supposed to be this almighty force and the DigiDestined had already defeated one of them…

"Do not fear my lord," AxeKnightmon spoke up as he approached from behind. "Dianamon was the weakest member of the Nightmare Six. It was only a matter of time before the DigiDestined destroyed her first."

"I need that chest." Myotismon muttered. "If the DigiDestined were able to defeat Dianamon then the rest of you are also in danger of falling to them, and I need that chest so I can return to my former self before they succeed again."

.:Izzy's lab, Minato, Tokyo:.

"Myotismon's castle is not going to be easy to penetrate…" Izzy said as he studied the images of the building he had collected from various sources. "By the looks of it the only way in is through the main doors at the front… and the area at the back is surrounded by jagged rocks, which makes it a lot harder to approach on ground. I think he chose that location precisely for that reason."

"No doubt he has an army of X Digimon guarding the entrances too," Jonathon added, beside his father. He pointed to the screen. "Look, he has two Boltmon X guarding the edge of the battery island at the end of the bridge."

"We'll end up using up half our strength just trying to get past his guards." Jonathon's Tentomon spoke up as he floated beside his partner.

Kichi watched her husband and son from the corner of the lab. She had just made some snacks for Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon, who were already happily tucking in once she had placed the plate down on the table they were sitting at. She looked across the room to where Haruhiko and Jim were seated at their desks; busy working on trying to fix the Digimon Detection System. "You guys thirsty?" she asked as she walked over to Jim's desk. "You've been working extremely hard since I arrived. How about I make us all some hot chocolate?"

"That would be great." Jim smiled, with Haruhiko nodding in agreement.

"Make some for us too!" Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon piped up in unison.

Kichi smiled. "Don't worry; I'll make enough for everyone." She said before disappearing into the kitchen next door.

Jonathon glanced up at his father who looked deep in thought as he continued to study Myotismon's castle; scrutinising every corner of the place. "Surely it must have a weakness somewhere Dad." He said.

"I'm not sure… I think our best bet would be attacking from different angles at the same time… but that already proves difficult as we don't have a full team… we know TK, Kari and Dan have been captured. Sora is in New York and with no known locations on some of the others that is almost half our team out of the equation…" Izzy sighed.

Haruhiko sighed at the mention of his daughter. He had tried phoning her but it had gone straight to voicemail, as Sora had turned her cell phone on to flight mode prior to boarding Willis's plane.

Just then, the front door to the lab opened and Matt, Tai, Stacey and their Digimon walked in. "Oh look, the wanderers have returned." Izzy's Tentomon commented with a hint of sarcasm.

Izzy turned around. "Welcome back… Uh I take it you were unsuccessful in finding Dawn?" he said, noticing the Kamiya girl's absence.

Tai slouched back, leaning against one of the desks. He rested his hand over his pocket where his daughter's D-Power was. "She wasn't there, and I can't afford to waste anymore time waiting around here Izzy. I need to go and find her."

"I understand Tai, but you're just going to have to be patient." Izzy calmly protested as Kichi walked back in carrying a tray full of mugs of hot chocolate.

"We have a little good news to report though," Matt's Gabumon spoke up. "We defeated one of the Nightmare Six."

Matt nodded. "When we crossed the bay Dianamon attacked us. It was a tough battle but Omnimon destroyed her. I'd love to see the look on Myotismon's face when he finds out."

At that moment, the computer Jim was sitting in front of beeped as it signalled an incoming video call, catching his attention. "Hey Izzy, we're getting an incoming call." he announced.

"Huh? Put it up on the big screen, it could be one of the others." Izzy instructed.

"Actually… it's coming from Dawn's D-Terminal…" Jim replied as he looked at the caller ID.

Tai hurried over to Jim's desk, and seeing the call was indeed coming from his daughter's D-Terminal he hit the answer button before Jim had chance to, before moving around the desk so he was in front of the large screen. "Dawn?"

But instead of seeing the ten year old appear on screen; everyone froze when it was Myotismon who appeared before them. Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon both yelped in horror and scrambled underneath the table, cowering in the shadows, whilst Stacey slowly hid behind her father who placed a comforting arm across her.

"Hello DigiDestined," Myotismon greeted as he held the D-Terminal at arm's length. He was standing in the main room of his castle with his coffin in the background. "A little surprised to see me huh?"

"What do you want? Where's Dawn?" Agumon demanded, raising his claws.

The vampire Digimon chuckled. "I bet I was the last Digimon you would expect to be calling you, although the reason for my call will come as no surprise. You have something of mine, something valuable. Something you stole from me that night on that island."

"The chest…" Matt muttered under his breath.

"You think you may have gained the upper hand in stealing that chest from me, and eliminating one of my Nightmare Six… but look who I have here…" Myotismon raised his right hand up into view, revealing he was holding Dawn by the scruff of her t-shirt.

"Dawn!" Haruhiko exclaimed, standing up from his seat as Tai could only watch; what he had feared now confirmed.

Myotismon chuckled. "I know this little brat is the one responsible for stealing it, and if you don't want her to suffer the same fate as other thieves who have crossed my path in the past you will bring that chest to me."

"Wait!" Matt exclaimed. "What about the others? We know you've been capturing our friends, and if you've hurt any of them-"

"Your friends are fine," Myotismon interrupted sharply. "For how long though depends on you." His eyes then fell upon Tai. "I want that chest, and if I don't have it by sunrise your friends' time will run out, starting with your daughter."

"Da-"

The video call then ended just as Dawn was about to shout out to her father, and the room was left in silence. Everyone turned their heads and looked in the direction of where the chest was situated; resting on one of the desks in the corner of the room. Tai slowly made his way over. He hesitated for a moment as he looked down at it. They still had no idea what it contained inside, but none of that mattered anymore. Myotismon had his daughter, and sister… and he dreaded to think what he would do to them if they didn't hand over the chest by morning. Sighing, he grasped one of the handles and lifted the chest off the desk.

"Tai, what are you doing?" Izzy asked.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm taking the chest to Myotismon."

"What? You're giving into Myotismon's demands?" Matt exclaimed.

"We don't have a choice Matt." Tai replied abruptly. "You heard what he said if we don't give him that chest by morning. Surely you haven't forgotten Myotismon has your brother too."

"Of course I haven't forgotten!" Matt snapped back. "But giving Myotismon what he wants after Dawn risked her life to keep that chest from him is the only option we have?"

Tai tightened his grip on the chest as he tried to calm his frustration. He didn't need reminding what Dawn had done on that island. He had been there; watching helplessly as she had bravely stood up to Myotismon. "What would you do if it was Stacey? If I bring him that chest at least it gets me inside that castle." He said sharply.

"And then what will you do? Myotismon will be surrounded with guards. You'll end you captured yourself, or even worse! Have you forgotten we're a team Tai? We should plan our next move instead of giving in to what he wants."

"Okay you two that's enough." Haruhiko said stepping in between the two men before the squabble erupted.

Tentomon flew up hovering beside his partner. "Izzy, I know it's risky but we were planning a rescue operation anyway."

Jonathon nodded. "And the chest can't be opened remember? Dawn said the key had been destroyed on that island, and the chest is made from the strongest metal in the Digital World. Nothing can open it except for the key."

"I'm guessing Myotismon doesn't know this information if he wants us to bring the chest to him…" Izzy pondered. "We could use his demand to our advantage…"

"Yeah, there's no danger of Myotismon getting his hands on whatever is inside that chest." Agumon agreed. "He's just given us a free invitation into his castle that's all."

"Somehow I don't think it will be as easy as that." Gabumon disagreed.

"It won't be," Tai said. "But I'm not gonna just stand back and do nothing. I know Myotismon wasn't bluffing when he made that threat. He would have killed Dawn on that island, and I'm not giving him that chance again."

Izzy looked at his watch, which read 8.26pm. "We've still got plenty of time before morning. If we're going to do this, then we're going to need everybody else. Let's all meet at Odaiba Elementary where we can devise a plan of attack."

.:No.6 Battery Island, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

"Are you sure they will bring the chest, my lord?" AxeKnightmon asked. He, along with Myotismon and Wisemon were in the main room of the castle, standing just in front of Myotismon's coffin.

Myotismon smiled as he looked up at Dawn, who was now back in the cage with Agumon. "Of course they will. They would never risk their friends' lives. They will play right into my hands." He replied, as Dawn glared down at him. He then turned to face AxeKnightmon. "Go and find the rest of the Nightmare Six and bring them back here at once. I want you all to be here when my chest arrives."

"Yes my lord." AxeKnightmon bowed, before he flung his cape back and turned; heading for the main doors of the castle.

"Nightmare Five more like." Dawn sneered.

Myotismon glared up at the brown haired girl. "I'd watch what you say if I were you." He threatened. "Otherwise when your father arrives with that chest I'll force you to watch a repeat of what I did to him last time, only this time I won't hold back."

Dawn tightened her grip on the bars of the cage as she continued to glare back at him. She was itching to answer back but decided it was best to remain quiet.

The vampire Digimon smiled. He knew it was tearing the young girl up inside that she couldn't come out with anymore of her arrogant remarks. He chuckled as he turned and left. "I love it when a plan comes together..."

.:Tokyo Big Sight, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

Joe knelt down on the floor and looked through his medical bag. "I'm running low on supplies." He said with a sigh. "I hope we've treated everyone. If anymore people arrive I fear I might not have enough to treat them with."

Mimi, who was seated just behind her husband with the rest of the group on a row of seats, leaned forward and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry. You did a great job treating the amount of people you did. Palmon checked outside earlier and there is no one else around."

Joe rose to his feet and looked across the exhibition hall to where his patients were in the other seating area opposite. The Kido family had purposely kept themselves separated from the group so to not attract attention to their Digimon partners.

Akina headed across to them from where she had been speaking to a few of them. "Some of them are getting a little restless and want to leave."

"Did you tell them it is not safe out there?" Mimi replied.

Cody's wife nodded. "Yes. I explained what is happening and that everyone has been advised to stay inside until further notice but they still want to leave to find their families, which I can sort of sympathise with."

Fernanda looked up from where she was seated in between Tricia and Armadillomon. "You still not heard anything from Dad yet?" she asked, to which her mother shook her head sadly.

Just then, Joe's cell phone began to ring. He pulled it out of his pocket and checked the caller ID. "It's Izzy," he said before answering the call and putting it on speaker phone. "Hey Izzy, what's the update?"

"It's not good I'm afraid. Myotismon has captured some of the others. He's demanding we bring the chest to him before morning. I need to you, Mimi, Tricia and Fernanda to meet us at Odaiba Elementary. I'll explain more when you arrive."

"Okay, we'll be there as soon as we can." Joe replied before he ended the call.

"… Is that why we haven't heard from Cody?" Akina asked a little hesitantly. "Has he been captured?"

"We don't know that for sure." Palmon tried to reassure her.

Joe placed his cell phone back in his pocket before picking up his medical bag. "Akina, are you okay staying here with everyone?" he asked, to which she nodded in response. "Keep them safe and don't leave until we return. I'm not sure how long we'll be, but we'll be back."

"Okay…" Akina replied quietly. She watched as the group gathered their things, and as Joe and Mimi prepared to leave, she quickly hugged Fernanda. She had no idea where her husband was and now she had to watch her only daughter leave. "Be careful."

Fernanda nodded as she returned the hug. "I will." She replied before she and Armadillomon ran off to catch up with the Kido family.

.:Minato, Tokyo:.

Imperialdramon was holding up quite well against the two powerful Digimon. Every attack they launched at him he would quickly defend against, which was starting to irritate on Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon. "Splendor Blade!" he manifested a sword of light and slashed it down as Tactimon charged towards him. He then spun around and did the same again as ChaosGallantmon tried to attack from behind.

ChaosGallantmon grunted as the attack knocked him off balance. He growled, raising his weapon. "Enough. I'm getting tired now."

"Is that your excuse for your poor aim?" Imperialdramon taunted.

Tactimon also raised his Sword of Storms, pointing it directly at Davis and Ken's partner. "Let's finish this ChaosGallantmon and show him our true power." He charged forward, flipping the gun muzzles on his back at Imperialdramon. "Primary Tactic!" he fired an immense blast.

"Positron Laser!" Imperialdramon thrust his gun forward and fired his own blast; hoping to cancel out Tactimon's. But it wasn't as powerful and was quickly engulfed, and before he had chance to move; it struck him head on. Imperialdramon cried out in pain as the blast threw him through the air where ChaosGallantmon was waiting.

"Chaos Shot!" ChaosGallantmon swung his spear and unleashed a dark energy, striking Imperialdramon on the back and temporally stunning him.

Tactimon flew up and raised his sword high above his head before swinging it down and slamming it into Imperialdramon's chest; sending him hurtling down out of the sky.

"Imperialdramon!" Davis cried out as he watched his partner plunge past them and down to the ground below. He ran over to the edge of the roof and looked down, just as Ken joined his side.

The smoke from the impact of Imperialdramon hitting the ground soon cleared, and Davis and Ken saw their partner lying on his back motionless. Ken gasped as Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon flew over them and down towards their fallen partner. "Imperialdramon watch out!" he hollered.

Imperialdramon grunted as he moved a little. He looked up to see the two Digimon soaring down straight for him. He managed to raise his right arm, pointing his gun up. "Positron Laser!"

Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon easily swerved to avoid the two shots that had just been fired. As they gained speed, they pointed their weapons downwards; preparing to impale Imperialdramon.

Imperialdramon managed to push himself up, and with a split second to spare he mustered up enough strength to leap out of the way, causing Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon to strike the ground.

The two members of the Nightmare Six swiftly pulled their weapons out of the ground and looked ahead to see Imperialdramon standing in the middle of the road, as Davis and Ken breathed a sigh of relief. They prepared their weapons once more and each fired an attack.

The three attacks clashed and cancelled each other out; with Imperialdramon's managing to hold up against the two blasts from Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon. When their attacks had fizzled out, the two members of the Nightmare Six growled before preparing their weapons yet again and charging.

Imperialdramon did the same, firing up his gun as he too headed straight for them…

But before the three Digimon could clash, AxeKnightmon's twin spear suddenly thundered down and impaled the ground in between them and unleashed a large shockwave that engulfed the entire street. The shockwave halted the three Digimon in their tracks.

Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon looked ahead to see AxeKnightmon descending down from above. "AxeKnightmon?" the latter questioned.

"Oh no… not another one…" Davis gasped.

AxeKnightmon pulled his twin spear out of the ground. "Our lord has ordered our return to the castle at once. The DigiDestined are about to deliver the chest to him and he wants us all present to witness his return." He explained.

Tactimon narrowed his eyes. "In case you haven't noticed AxeKnightmon, we are a little busy at the moment."

"Surely you don't want to miss our lord's return to power?" AxeKnightmon replied looking from Tactimon and then to ChaosGallantmon. "We have waited many years and now the time is almost upon us. Dianamon has already fallen to the DigiDestined and our lord does not want any more of us to suffer the same fate. That is why he has ordered our return immediately."

ChaosGallantmon growled through gritted teeth as he cast a look over to Imperialdramon, a little disappointed their battle had to come to an end. "Very well… As our lord wishes." He said reluctantly.

Tactimon pointed his sword at Imperialdramon as AxeKnightmon and ChaosGallantmon ascended up into the sky. "You got lucky this time. If AxeKnightmon hadn't of interrupted we would have won this fight." He warned. "But by the sounds of it, this is only just the beginning... and the next time we meet we will destroy you."

Davis and Ken both glanced at each other confused as they watched Tactimon join AxeKnightmon and ChaosGallantmon up in the air. Just then, Ken's phone beeped signalling he had received a text message.

Imperialdramon continued to watch them until they disappeared in the night sky. He then flew up the side of the building to where Davis and Ken were still standing at the edge of the rooftop.

"Uhh… what just happened there?" Davis asked a little confused.

"I have no idea…" Imperialdramon replied as he landed on the roof beside the two men. "I heard AxeKnightmon say the others are about to deliver the chest to Myotismon."

"What?!" Davis exclaimed.

"Hey," Ken interrupted as he looked at his cell phone. "It's a message from Izzy. He says it's urgent. We need to meet him at Odaiba Elementary. He'll explain more when we arrive."

"Do you think it has something to do with Myotismon ordering the Nightmare Six back to his castle?" Imperialdramon wondered.

"Quite possibly…I don't think it's a coincidence that we've received this message from Izzy just as Tactimon and ChaosGallantmon have just absconded like that." Ken replied as he placed his cell phone back in his pocket. "I guess we'll find out when we get there… c'mon let's go."

.:Fuji TV Station, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

Stacey was waiting in the ground floor lobby of the station with her partners. Her father and Gabumon had gone upstairs to his office to get MJ and Margaret. He said he wouldn't be long, but Stacey didn't mind if he took all the time in the world. The sooner he returned, the sooner they would be heading for Myotismon's castle. She wanted to help save the others, but she still felt nervous at the very thought of confronting Myotismon again. He was not a Digimon who would easily forget betrayal, and she knew he would take the first chance he could at getting his revenge.

Gabumon looked up at his partner, who was slouched back leaning against the wall by the doors. "You don't have to you know… I'm sure your father-"

"I'm not chickening out of this Gabumon," Stacey interrupted. "My friends are in trouble."

The rookie Digimon smiled. He had hoped that was the answer she was going to give, and he was pleased she had.

Stacey looked up as she heard faint voices gradually getting louder. She saw her father appear at the top of the escalator with MJ, Margaret and their Digimon. Stacey noticed Margaret looked especially sombre as they reached the bottom and made their way over to her. She guessed her father had informed them of Dawn's capture.

Matt walked over to the doors and peered outside, checking the area was clear. "You girls ready?" he asked, looking back. "There are still a few X Digimon roaming around Odaiba so we need to get to the school quick. We'll take a short cut across the bay." After the girls nodded in response, he opened the door and held it open allowing them to exit first. Once they were out Matt closed the door and made his way to the front of the small group.

But just as they were about to leave, Margaret noticed the ground in front of them began to move and crack… "Look out!" she shrieked, as a SkullScorpiomon X burst through the ground and immediately spotted them.

Matt protected the girls, who backed up behind him as SkullScorpiomon X began to approach them…

"Terror Destroyer!"

SkullScorpiomon X wailed in pain as the large dark red sphere of energy pulverised him in an instant.

Matt blinked as his brain tried to catch up with what had just happened so quickly. He, the girls and Digimon all looked to their left and saw BlackWarGreymon standing at the edge of the station building. But he wasn't alone. Behind him were Leomon, Wizardmon, Frigimon, Unimon, Meramon, Piximon, Monzaemon, Andromon and Ogremon.

"Wizardmon!" Margaret exclaimed happily, instantly noticing him amongst the group.

"What are you guys doing here?" Matt's Gabumon asked in awe.

"Team DigiDestined reporting for duty!" Frigimon proclaimed, saluting.

"We've come to help you fight Myotismon." BlackWarGreymon said.

Matt slowly began to smile, which then turned into a small chuckle. "You couldn't have come at a more perfect time…"

.:Odaiba Elementary, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

Almost everyone had arrived at the school and were gathered in the gymnasium. Izzy had set up his laptop and was using the plain wall to project an aerial image of Myotismon's castle for everyone to see. In the corner of the room Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon were entertaining themselves by playing on the ropes. They were swinging back and forth happily, before they collided with each other and fell to the floor; which only fuelled their laughter more.

Tai, who was slouched back leaning against the wall with his arms folded, looked over as the two Digimon quickly got back onto their feet and began to climb the ropes once more. "Did we really have to bring those two along?"

"Apparently they feel safer when they are around us. They didn't want to stay behind at my lab so I couldn't really say no to them." Izzy replied with a smile.

"I hope they're not part of our rescue operation." Agumon added. "Those two can't stay still for two seconds."

"Actually, we are." Pumpkinmon announced proudly as he jumped off the rope and landed somewhat gracefully on the floor.

"What?!" Both Tai and Agumon exclaimed.

Gotsumon mimicked Pumpkinmon and jumped down landing next to him. "Izzy's given us a brilliant part to play which is perfect for us!"

"Izzy!" Tai turned and looked down at his friend who was knelt down near him.

Izzy couldn't help but smile as he rose to his feet. "Relax Tai; it'll become clear when I run through the plan once everyone is here."

"Who else are we waiting for?" Yolei asked.

"We're just waiting for Matt. He's gone to collect Margaret and MJ from the TV Station." Izzy's Tentomon replied.

"Will we be getting some rest first?" Gomamon spoke up. "It's getting late and we'll all need to be at full strength if we're taking on Myotismon and his cronies before morning."

Izzy nodded. "Don't worry; everyone will be getting some rest." He replied, glancing over in Tai's direction, who just looked away. "It's been a long day for all of us and I'm sure we could use it."

"And we can raid the school cafeteria for some food!" Izzy's Tentomon added.

Tricia scrunched up her face in disgust. "Have you tried the school food Tentomon? It's not something to get excited over."

Davis couldn't help but smile. "It sounds like it hasn't changed much over the years then."

"Hey guys, sorry we're late."

Everyone turned and looked to see Matt standing in the entrance to the gymnasium with Stacey, Margaret, MJ and their partners. They were holding the double doors slightly ajar as they remained in the doorway.

"We've brought some reinforcements." Stacey said with a smile before she and her father pushed the two doors wide open.

The DigiDestined all watched in astonishment as BlackWarGreymon was the first to walk in, soon followed by Leomon, Wizardmon and the rest of the Digimon as they soon filled the gymnasium. Mimi rose to her feet, clasping her hands in joy at the sight of their old friends.

"So," Leomon said stepping forward. "What's the plan?"

To be continued…
