After Reishi agreed to help Mina, they walked to the school's outdoor emporium to talk more. Trees and tables surrounded them as they inquired into akeno's disappearance.

Mina: Thanks for agreeing to help me reishi.

Reishi: No problem. This seems dire after all.

Reishi: Can I ask you a couple of questions? I need some info if we're going to find Akeno.

Mina: Okay.

Reishi took a deep breath and looked at mina as they walked forward.

Reishi: When and where was the last time and place you saw Akeno?

Reishi asked.

Mina: I last saw her three days ago…. At the Yamamoto industrial plant.

Reishi: The industrial plant? Isn't that place abandoned?

Mina: Yeah, We like to meet there sometimes. Akeno likes the aesthetics and the quietness of the place.

Mina: Anyway, We practiced our dueling strategies there, talked a little bit and then we parted ways. That's it.

She explained.

Reishi: Huh.

Reishi: (Well we should definitely check there first.)

Reishi thought.

Reishi: Was there anything off about akeno?

Mina: Well… She was talking about some weird stuff…

[Flashback - 3 days ago]

The Air is cold in the industrial plant as mina and akeno entered it. They both were used to it with this being their favorite 'hang out' spot.

Rusted machines were laid around this rotting place, they had all been retired years ago and had no use. This place was the graveyard of Japan's once great industrial economy.

Mina: *Yawn* Akeno… Why'd you call me out here this late?

Akeno: I…

Akeno: I need to ask you something.

Mina: What is it? You know you can ask me anything-

Akeno: Don't be like that.

Akeno approached Mina and pinched her arm. Mina in response made a moaning sound and quipped:

Mina: Jee, Why'd you do that!

Akeno: You know I don't like when you talk like that, mina.

Mina: You're such a puritan, Akeno.

Akeno: Hmph.

Akeno spun and walked a couple inches. She looked mina in the eyes and began to empathize. She had something to say and she wanted to say it. Badly.

Akeno: Mina….

Akeno: What would you do if I were gone?

Mina: Huh…?

Akeno: There'd be no one there to defend you from bullies. No one to give you money for lunch…. No one to make sure your fashion sense is on point, No one to protect you.

Mina: Akeno… I-I appreciate everything you do for M-Me.

Akeno: I know. I'm just worried.

Mina: I can take care of myself if that's what you're worried about.

Mina replied

Akeno: Heh, I know you can kiddo.

Mina: But why'd you even bring this up?

Akeno: Well…

Akeno began to walk closer to mina.

Akeno: The truth is that I might have to do something difficult soon. -And I wanted your opinion because it's important to me.

Mina: Huh? What are you even saying? What's going on akeno?

Akeno: Oh nothing…. I'm just going through some stuff.

The girl stopped short of mina and began staring in her eyes.

Akeno: Mina…. I….

Mina: A-Akeno!

She began to lean in closer. They could feel each other's cold breaths on their skin.

Akeno: I have to go away soon-

Mina: ….

Akeno: -And I just want to know if you're going to be okay without me.

Mina: Akeno, can you tell me what's going on?

Akeno: I can't, I'm sorry. Just know that its nothing dangerous….

Mina: Y-You're lying aren't you!?

Akeno: …?

Mina: A-Akeno T-This doesn't feel right!

Mina: I know you and you're acting weird!

Mina exclaimed. Akeno balled up her fist and replied with:

Akeno: Mina…. Just please!

Mina: No, you "Just please!" What is going on!

Akeno: I can't.

Akeno: -And that's why I have to do this!

Akeno thrust her fist forward and hit mina right in her stomach! Akeno's fist buried itself within Mina's stomach causing her to gag. A rush of pain hit the girl, a twisting searing pain which almost made her feel a sort of painful bliss. Mina fell to her knees and began to groan.

Akeno: Sorry, Mina.

Akeno turned around and walked away from mina. Her hips swayed side to side as she left, as if she didn't have a care in the world. She sighed, abandoning her friend like this felt wrong and yet so right for what she was about to do. It was a coarse choice. She disappeared into the depths of the factory.

Reishi: That is kind of strange.

Mina: Urgh, I can still feel that punch in my stomach.

Mina commented.

Reishi: Hmm. So that was the last time you saw her?

Mina: Y-Yes.

Reishi: Then we should most likely return there.

Mina: The industrial plant?

Reishi: Yes. The last place she was at is bound to give us some clues.

Reishi: If we investigate the scene carefully, we may be able to discover something.

Reishi said while furrowing her brow!

Mina: G-Gee! You sound like a detective!

Reishi: -But we'll need some help.

Reishi took out her Padio-Pad and began typing. She was going to call shima.

Reishi: ….

The tablet began to ring and shima picked from the other side.

Shima: Reishi?

A video feed appeared on the holographic screen, Shima appeared with the school in the background.

Shima: What's going on. Why'd you call me.

She asked. Reishi got straight to the point and asked:

Reishi: Shima, you know all those favors you owe me?

Shima: Hoo boy. What do you need?

Reishi: (Gee. You didn't have to respond like that...)

Reishi then went on to explain the situation to shima. Who listened with intrigue.

Reishi: So I was thinking that we could use your science stuff to maybe get some clues.

Shima: 'Science stuff' gee, is that what you think of all my awesome technological achievements?

Reishi: Huh?

Shima: You make it sound so casual! I can antimatter at a whim and you describe it as 'science stuff!'

Reishi: Shima, can we please focus?

Shima: Yeah right.

Reishi: could you help us please?

Reishi pleaded with shima.

Shima: I dunno reishi. This isn't CSI: Miami. There's nothing in my lab or that I have on me that can help.

Reishi: Please shima! Anything you can do could help us!

Shima: Gee, You're that desperate huh. Fine. I guess I could grace you with my intelligence!

Reishi: Thanks... I guess? Meet us at the old industrial plant at the edge of the city!

Reishi directed.

Shima: Got it.

Shima ended the call and reishi sighed. She looked at mina with lucid eyes and said:

Reishi: With shima on our side we should be able to find something.

Mina: She's going to help us? That's so awesome!

Reishi: (Awesome for you maybe. She no doubt want a favor for this…)

Mina: Reishi…. Thank you.

Reishi: Now let's go!

With the blessing of shima, Reishi and Mina went off on their little excursion. They had some hope that maybe they could find an indication of where she went or even find the girl herself! Although an ounce of realism seemed to kick in as they traversed the city towards their destination.

Meanwhile…. A ghoul like figure was watching from behind.
