The Day went on and reishi thought about all of the things that could've happened to Akeno, including Hattori's theory. She was focused on that so much, she barely even paid attention to class. She only noted that was there today.

During her lunch break, she went to the library to meet with shima.

Reishi: Yo Shima!

Shima: Hey!

Shima was reading a book.

Reishi: What'cha reading?

Shima: A synopsis on Einstein's theory of relativity. Do you know what it's about?

Reishi: The theory of relativity? It's the scientific concept that time and space are relative to each other. Right?

Shima: Hohoooo. Oh you sweet summer child. That's the baby's understanding of it, yes. It's much more than that.

Shima: Though, I think a valley girl like you couldn't understand.

Reishi: Gee, Do you always have to 'dab on me' with that big brain of yours shima?

Shima: Yes.

Shima simply answered.

Reishi: …

Reishi: Let's Move on, Did you find anything on akeno.

Shima: Not that much reishi….. I mean I tried everything.

Shima: I tried looking up cell phone records, nothing. I tried looking at her texts, nothing. I tried looking at her internet history but it stopped the day she disappeared. There's nothing suspicious leading up to the point, either.

Shima: There's no clues, No evidence. Nothing, Reishi.

Shima sighed a mighty sigh. Reishi could tell that Shima honestly tried looking for anything through the soulful caress in her eyes.

Reishi: I mean, Shima….

Shima: what do you want to do now?

Reishi: Well, I think the shadowmancers may have taken her.

Shima: …..!

Shima: W-Why do you think that?

Reishi: It's the only thing that makes sense.

Reishi: Well we have exhausted every other theory/evidence then I think this is the only thing that makes sense.

Shima: Eh, I'm not sure, reishi.

Reishi: Actually, what you found supports my theory.

Shima: but I didn't find anything….

Reishi: Exactly. If the shadowmancers had taken akeno they wouldn't have left any evidence.

Shima: Are ya sure, kiddo? They ransacked your house when they took hiro and Juno, that seems like 'evidence' to me.

Reishi: -That is where hattori's theory comes in.

Reishi exclaimed.

Reishi: She thinks that akeno may have voluntarily gone to the shadowmancers.

Shima: Why the heck would she do that?

Shima asked in response. Reishi simply shrugged and replied with:

Reishi: I don't know but…. It all makes sense.

Shima: …

Shima: I don't know, reishi. This all seems like we're grasping at straws.

Reishi: Perhaps that's true but it's the only straws we have. The evidence only leads forward!

Reishi replied.

Shima: Heh, look at you…. You're sounding more and more like a detective every time. Are you enjoying this?

Reishi: Heh, A little bit. Is that wrong?

Shima: I think you're becoming more of a dork than me.

Reishi: Is that possible?

Shima: Hey!

Shima pouted.

?: Hey.

They both heard a familiar voice call out from behind them.

Reishi: Fumi….

Fumi: Konichiwa reishi? Are you studying! I could help.

Fumi looked on the table and saw the theory of relativity.

Fumi: Ah, studying up on chemistry? How studious.

Shima: It's physics, you dolt!

Shima interjected. Fumi, having not noticed shima up to this point, scoffed.

Fumi: Oh, Shima.

Shima: Hmph.

Reishi: (Sheesh these two really don't like each other.)

Fumi: Wanna explain why you're hanging out with such a wench reishi?

Shima: If you must know we're trying to find one of the students you're responsible for - Akeno Miruta?

Fumi: Hmm?

Fumi: Akeno? I wouldn't be surprised if that hoodlum found herself in a ditch.

Reishi: ….!

Shima: Rude. If you must know she's missing right now.

Fumi: Who cares? The only worth she had to this school was her use to us was her dueling skills.

Fumi: -which is the only reason she was chosen for the NIPS tournament.

Reishi: (...How cold)

Shima: Fumi! That was completely uncalled for!

Fumi: Oh? Are you defending akeno?

Shima: No, but if you hate her then she's doing something right.

Shima snickered.

Fumi: Ugh….

Fumi: Reishi. Why are you associating with this muffin-top harlot?

Reishi: I-

Shima: I'll have you know that she's known me longer than she's known you.

Fumi: I suppose but I've known you longer shima.

Fumi: Reishi, did you know that Shima cheated on her first entrance exam and she asked me, the glorious student council president, to cover it up?

Shima: ….!

Reishi: Huh? Is that true?

Shima: No!

Shima glared at Fumi in anger. Reishi could tell that there was more to this story. In a way to distract herself, Shima told an embarrassing secret about fumi.

Shima: Well, uh…

Shima: Did you know that Fumi had to wear diapers until she was 13 because of her IBS?

Fumi: ….!

Reishi: uh… really?

Fumi: Ha! You really think that embarasses me?

Fumi: Diapers allow you to go anywhere at anytime! Quick on the go access! I'm proud of my former diaper use!

Reishi: (S-She's shameless!)

Shima: Y-You're Disgusting! I was just making stuff up! You actually wore diapers?

Fumi: No, of course not! I just wanted you as a liar.

Reishi: Woah, that was a 2000 IQ move….

Shima: Ugh, you sow.

Fumi: Bitch.

Shima: Whore.

Reishi: Ladies, Ladies. You can put your claws away now. There's no point in fighting right now.

Shima and Fumi: *HISS*

They both hissed like cats towards reishi.

Reishi: (A bit literal, don't you think?)

Reishi: Look, we're just trying to find a missing person, fumi? Don't you think you could help with that?

Fumi: perhaps. -But since you have "Genius-brained" shimamura, I think I'm a bit outmatched.

Fumi: Plus, I'm running for re-election next year. Don't wanna get too caught in any shenanigans.

Shima: Ah, Of course. The first thing you care about is your political career instead of your fellow classmates.

Fumi: Well when you put it like that...

Shima: Ugh! Let's go reishi.

Shima grabbed Reishi's hand and pulled her near the exit. As she did, Reishi caught a glance at Fumi who looked at her with wavering eyes. Her eyes seemed to have an affection for her, not one of straight love but of something of a platonic familiarly affection. Reishi swore she could hear Fumi saying something, but her words were drowned out by shima's swearing. The hope of the situation was gone and now they all had to press forward.
