The sun was setting over the three girls' heads, the big ball of fire was retiring for the day. Leaving the three girls to deal with both the physical and metaphorical shadows. It had only been a couple of seconds after the shadowmancer had called reishi. They all reckoned with the shadowmancers dire threats and debated the consequences.
Reishi: Dammit! I can't believe this! They kidnapped all three of them! I hate them!
Shima: Reishi calm down. This is-
Reishi: How can I be calm! They just kidnapped three of my friends!
Shima: If we panic, it won't be any easier to get them back.
Shima pointed out.
Reishi: …
Reishi: No, you're right.
She took a deep breath out.
Shima: I'm curious about how and why they took Simon and Mina. I mean they already had akeno, that was already enough for us to concede to their demands.
Reishi: I don't know…
Hattori: Maybe it was to increase the direness of the situation?
Hattori suggested.
Shima: Either way. This isn't good.
Reishi: This is most likely a trap…. But what other choice do I have?
Hattori: Well you could not go senpai!
Reishi: I don't think I need to tell you that isn't an option, hattori!
Reishi scolded.
Shima: Who was that boy? Was he someone you knew, reishi?
Reishi: (Right. Shima hasn't met Arthur or Simon in person yet….)
Reishi: That's Simon. The cousin of that guy I was telling you about. The shadowmancers must have taken him to get at me…
Shima: Talk about petty…
Reishi: Shima, can you calculate those coordinates?
Shima: Yeah, give me a moment….
Hattori: Hehe, There's no need, senpai. I recognize the coordinates.
Reishi: Huh?
Hattori: It's the construction site on the east end of the city. Near the sakura building.
Shima: …. Why do you know that?
Hattori: Sometimes I pay the construction workers to beat me up. Hehe…..
Reishi and Shima: ….
Hattori: I'm kidding! Geez! I just like watching the machines! How kinky do you guys think I am?
Reishi: With you, hattori, I don't know where the jokes end and reality begins.
Reishi observed.
Shima: The construction site… That seems like a really suspicious place to meet.
Reishi: Yeah, an obvious trap. She's either going to capture me or force me to duel her. Maybe both.
Hattori: Senpai….
Reishi: -But we don't have a choice to go, do we? Mina and the others need us!
Reishi exclaimed while looking both of them in the eye. Shima and hattori had their doubts and worries of course but they knew trying to stop or deter Reishi, especially when she had that fiery passion in her eyes. She wanted to save mina,akeno and simon and wouldn't until they were all safe.
Reishi: Let's go.
She told her friends in a blunt voice. They all followed reishi as they prepared to go to the construction site.
10 minutes later...
Reishi, Shima and hattori all ran to the location the shadowmancers requested. Night had fallen over the city and the stars,moon began to overlook the sky. With this new night, could a hope be found and could reishi find her friends in that hope? She had and see but in the meanwhile she and her friends pressed forward.
Reishi: Come on shima! Keep up!
Shima: Sorry its hard to keep up when I'm pushing a 130-pound girl in a wheelchair!
Hattori: Ehehe…..
*Bring…*
A dark ringtone played as Reishi got another call on her leo-pad.
Shima: Is that another call from the shadowmancer? *Huff*
Reishi: No, its from arthur!
Reishi immediately picked up the call.
Arthur: Reishi!
Arthur: Simon has-
Reishi: -Simon's been kidnapped, yeah I know. We're all in the loop.
Arthur: Uh… How?
Reishi briefly explained the situation to arthur.
Arthur: By god, that's horrific. She stole two of your friends…..
Reishi: Yeah, and I don't have a choice but to confront her!
Arthur: No reishi, We should wait and call the special victims unit-
Reishi: We don't have time for that, arthur!
Reishi yelled.
Arthur: Milady, we can't act brashly!
Reishi: What other choice do I have, arthur?
Arthur: …..
Arthur: At least, allow me to assist you!
Arthur exclaimed.
Reishi: Arthur….
Arthur: I'll be there! You said the coordinates lead to the construction site right?
Reishi: I don't want to risk anymore of my friends!
Arthur: Nonsense! It's my duty as both Simon's cousin and as your friend to help!
Reishi: ….
Reishi paused for a moment.
Reishi: ...Alright. I guess I can't deny you the right to save your cousin.
Reishi admonished.
Arthur: I'll be right there!
Arthur hung up as the wind began to pick up. They three of them continued to run towards the construction site.
Construction Site - East Neo Domino City.
The three of them arrived at the construction site. The site was a small area, surrounded by a fence that lasted a long while.
Reishi: (We're here….)
Shima: *Huff* My arms and legs are spaghetti, reishi…. *Huff*
Shima exasperated.
Hattori: But your body is like linguine~
Shima: That- You know what that was actually smooth, good job hattori.
Reishi: Gee. We really are at the climax aren't we?
Reishi smirked and hattori giggled in a brief moment of light heartedness.
They all looked at the building in front of them. Well 'building' was an overstatement obviously. It was just a mesh of highrise beams,cranes,scaffolding, metal sheets and various other things scatter about a large site. Still though, it was a marvel to view.
Past the gate there was a sign in front of the elevator, which read: "To the 30th level, there we will meet, my love." In bright red paint.
Reishi: (Wretch...)
Shima: How creepy…
Reishi: You can say that again.
Reishi exasperated. She looked at shima and hattori for a second before saying something on her mind.
Reishi: You know, you two don't have to come. It's not your battle to fight…
Hattori: ….
Shima: …..
Hattori: Nonsense senpai! We'll be with you to the end!
Shima: Yeah! I wouldn't leave you to face an evil magic stalker witch queen on your own!
They both replied back.
Reishi: Heh, With friends like these….
Shima: Now let's go!
Reishi smiled at both of them while they all pressed forward. The gate was suspiciously open and they entered the construction site and soon got on the elevator to the 30th floor! Where reishi would meet her fate and her destiny.
