Kakashi asked Ena who nodded making Kakashi sight, nothing could ever be easy. The jonin sighed this was a bad situation his genin stood up preparing to leave but his sensei spoke up "Ena there's one more thing I need to ask you," the jinchuruki stopped wating for the question "How did you escape?" Ena didn't answer he didn't know and deep, deep down in his very soul.
That terrified him.

Ena was lying in bed once again his wounds ached it felt like the bullets were tearing through his flesh, muscle, and bones. With a growl he punched the wall behind him leaving a large dent he heated feeling like this, sighing to himself he sat up when screens appeared in front of his eyes.

Ena raised a brow Orpheus had his own stats that was interesting, did it affect just his new persona or himself as well the game normally gave him a tutorial at this point how strange. As Ena sat there, he began to formulate a plan. Gato had an army at his back from common thugs to trained assassins there was no point in not using his Gacha coins. While they were a valuable and powerful resource, there was no reason not to utilise them to his advantage. The young boy would need as many companions and items as possible to stand a chance against this army. With his decision made he used the gacha coins, although this time instead of the coins manifesting in his hands numerous screens appeared.

Nodding to himself he prepared to sleep his eyes began to flutter shut something completely unexpected happened, a boy appeared at the front of his bed staring at him. The genin's eyes snapped open as he wrenched himself upwards and stared into the child's eyes, as he stared at the child he took in his appearance, the child had short faded black hair blue eyes and a pale complexion, he also had a mole under his left eye and was wearing black and white Pyjamas along with sandals.
They continued staring at each other for what felt like an age. Ena opened his mouth to speak only to stop when he felt a very subtle weight on legs looking down, he saw a contract and pencil. Ena tried to make sense of the words, but they kept shifting positions. Only three words stayed still.

The genin thought taking in the situation. There was a mysterious boy that Observe refused to work on which was worrying, said boy had given him a contract that he could make no sense of. Ena had two options here, sign the contract or don't, either way he had no idea what would happen there were far too many possibiletys and the boy had yet to speak. With a sigh Ena picked up the pencil and signed his name, the clipboard suddenly burst into blue flames and vanished. Looking up he saw the boy had as well. Ena hesitated for a moment before closing his eyes and falling asleep he had no idea what he just signed hopefully he didn't just sign his soul away. As his eyes began to shut, he prepared for another night of dreamless sleep.
Although just before his eyes fully shut, Ena could have sworn he saw a glowing blue butterfly.

He opened his eyes unsure where he was, everything felt strange, he couldn't feel anything, smell anything. The only thing he could here was music? The first thing the genin saw was a man but he felt unnatural like he didn't really exist, he looked bizarre like a mix between a normal old man and something else. He had grey hair at the sides of his head. The thing that stood out most to Ena was his face and how unnatural it looked. His nose was unnaturally long, his ears were pointed, and his eyes were large, building, and bloodshot and he wore a simple black suit and tie. An impossibly large smile stretched across his face that showed far too many teeth. When he spoke, his voice was high pitched and filled with amusement. "Welcome to the Velvet room my dear young man, my name is Igor. I am delighted to make your acquaintance." A woman suddenly manifested beside him she had short white Hair and yellow eyes. She wore a blue dress with five black lined circles outside small yellow circles, along with blue gloves, a small blue hat, black leggings, and blue knee-length boots she was also holding a large brown book. Igor waved a hand in her direction. "This is Elizabeth she's a resident here like myself." The now named Elizabeth greeted Ena "Pleased to meet you." Ena had several questions on his mind one of which Igor answered "This place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter. It's been several years since we last had a guest." With a wave of his hand the contract Ena signed suddenly appeared on the desk Igor sat behind. "Only those who have signed the contract may enter this place. Henceforth you shall be welcome in the velvet room. You are going to hone your unique ability and shall require my help to do so. I ask only one thing in return that you abide by the contract and assume responsibility to the choices you make."
Ena gulped he had so many questions but two stuck out into his mind "Why me, what the hell are you."
Igor's grin seemed to widen even more somehow "a doomsday approaches slowly but surely, and you will need as much power as possible to stop it. As for me well I am a mere servant of Philemon." The old man held out his hand in the palm of which sat a glowing blue key which Ena took. "Hold on to that. 'til we meet again." Moments later Ena's eyes began to drift shut once again.

Ena was silently meditating in a forest a few miles away Tazuna's house, despite Kakashi asking him to stay he decided to leave with a shadow clone taking his place. Ena was thinking over the events of the past few days, he had already discussed last night events with his team and Tazuna's family and safe to say it did not get the best reaction, Tazuna and Sakura were terrified while Sasuke was angry to say the least. Currently Ena was trying to utilise his stand whatever it was although he was having some difficulty much to his frustration. With a sigh he stopped and decided to try later for now he had other matters to deal with. Most important of which being how to activate his Shinigami powers, reaching into himself he felt a familiar power and pulled. Reiryoku flooded his body and he felt something change he noticed that the clothing he wore during his duel with Zabuza and felt a familiar weight on his back. As gripped the hilt he felt it suddenly vanish and found himself holding nothing but air. Looking down he noticed the clothing had vanished as well.
The boy sighed once again in frustration he was missing something but what, he grunted and decided to find out later for now though he had to deal with the items he gained from the gacha. Starting with the Nemean Cestus. retrieving the item from his inventory it took the form of twin gauntlets that looked like silverish gold roaring lion, with black on the sides, with some spikes some curving back and other's forward.

Nodding to himself he decided to test his new weapons out walking to a nearby tree he reared his arm back and let it fly obliterating the tree and everything within ten feet behind it! Ena smirked these were going to be extremely useful. Removing the gauntlets, he went onto the next item Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. Holding out his hands two kodachi appeared, they both looked similar in shape but with different colours, the one on the left was golden and shined like the sun while the other was silver and had a serene light to it. He casted Observe on them both individually starting with the golden one.

Ena stared at the Kodachi's for a moment twirling them absent minded, so far, he hadn't seen a pair of weapons that grew stronger under certain conditions how interesting. The blades disappeared in blue particles and the genin switched to the last item that was not a companion gem or summon, the Omnitrix.
Holding out his hand the object manifested, and it looked strange to say the least. It looked like a large wristwatch, primarily black and grey in colour, with a grey dial in the middle like a watch face which has a green hourglass shape on it, it also has a circular tube. Flipping it upside down in his left hand to inspect the back of it, the Omnitrix suddenly shot up and latched onto his right wrist. Yanking his hand backwards Ena stared in confusion that wasn't supposed to happen. Grabbing it he began to pull trying to get it off to little affect. He gave up after a few more futile attempst and sighed he had tried putting it in his inventory but even that didn't work. The youth began to think of a way to get it off when something unexpected happened, the faceplate suddenly popped up and a black silhouette of something appeared, Ena hesitated for a moment and with his index finger gently pushed it back down and a flash of green light covered the forest and the boy felt nothing but pain.
His body felt like it was on fire, it was like his insides were melting looking at his hands he saw reddish brown rocks were growing along his skin and in a few seconds his entire body was covered with them. After a few moments, the pain vanished and Ena had transformed into something unnatural, impossible, inhuman. Instead of skin his body was made of reddish-brown rocks with numerous cracks that showed a lava like substance. His head was composed almost entirely of flames that shot upwards. His face if it could be called that had small holes that looked like eyes. His hands were very large and had only four fingers while his feet were ovel shaped with two toes in front and one at the back and the symbol of the Omnitrix sat in the centre of his chest. After taking this all in Ena took a moment to process exactly what was happening and promptly began to panic.
He stumbled backwards in shock trying to make sense of what was happening, trying to calm himself down he placed one of his large hands on a tree which almost immediately caught on fire pulling his hand away he stared at it. How hot was his body that a tree caught fire just by putting his hands on it for at most a few seconds, looking down he lifted one of his feet seeing the ground beneath it burnt black with small ember's coming off. Looking back at his hands then back at the Burning tree Ena placed his palm against the tree and began to absorb flames. The Fire began to return to his own body which seemed to glow brighter, focusing the feeling of heat in his body he held his hands to the sky and a stream of fire left them. The boy couldn't help but laugh this was so cool stopping the stream he began to stretch might as well practice with the creature, he stopped for a moment and began to think "I really should give this form a name but what?" he began to think of names. Fireman? No too generic. Pyroboy? No too boring. Surtur? He had a feeling that name was already taken by something more worthy of the title, but he didn't know why. As he continued to think and practice simultaneously, he reached an epiphany and could not help but speak it out loud "Heatblast!" that was a good name for a flaming creature like this. He suddenly heard something odd a beeping noise coming, from his chest? Looking down he noticed the symbol of the Omnitrix was flashing red and suddenly there was a flash of light and he was back to normal.
Ena looked at the Omnitrix in confusion noticing that the green sections of the watch had changed from a light green to red. Thinking it over Ena realised there was most likely a time limit, Ena shook his head he would just have to wait for it to activate again which he knew it would Observe was useful like that. He began to make his way back to Tazuna's home when he remembered he still had companion gems to use and servants to summon but which to do first. He thought it over for a moment and came to a decision he would summon two companions.
Holding out his hand he summoned the first crystal the one containing Kuai Liang. The gem was an icy blue and felt cold to touch. Shaking his head Ena threw it on the ground as it began to shake cracks forming along the crystal-like object. Seconds later it exploded freezing the small area Ena stood in and sending out icicle's which Ena dodged without juch difficulty when the mist cleared a man stood before him.
The man's face was covered with a black hood adn blue mask Ena did notice a faded scar over the man's right eye. His attire consisted of a blue uniform with black and white lines running down the middle and sides, he also had metallic shoulder guards and four blue and white kunai on his black belt. On his arms he had black gloves with blue arm guards and black pants with blue and white boots. the man looked around in confusion then focused on Ena his eyes narrowed "You there boy who are you, what realm is this, why am I here!?" he demanded his tone cold and blunt.
Ena blinked and replied, "well in order, I'm Ena I'm from Konoha, I don't know what you mean by realm but just now we're in the land of waves and I summoned you to fight with me."
"I see, I am Sub-Zero grandmaster of the Lin Kui if you wish for me to fight with you, you must beat me, in Mortal Kombat!" Ena knew it wasn't a request no matter what he and Sub-Zero would fight.
Ena barley had time to get ready before he had to bend backwards to avoid a ball of ice that flash froze the tree behind the boy. As he attempted to get his wits back the genin's feet were suddenly swept out beneath him and he had a split second to roll out of the way of an axe made of ice. Ena looked at it in shock this wasn't a brawl it was a fight to the death! Raising his legs up he kicked sub-zero in the chest with both feet, launching the grandmaster backwards, with a quick kip up Ena was back on his feet and with a flick of his wrists summoned Amaterasu & Tsukuyomi he twirled the blades in his hands and with a quick use of Observe he was ready.

Ena hated to admit it, but this was going to be tough, glancing at the Omnitrix he noticed it was still red. Cracking his neck he stared at Sub-zero wating for him to attack. Ena opened his mouth to speak only to be interrupted by a volley of icicle's heading straight for him. The Jinchuruki held the dual kodachi in front of his face blocking most of the icicles although some managed to pierce his skin some reching to the bone.

Sub-zero sprinted forward, in seconds he was in front of the young man and with an overhead swing tried to plant the edge of the ice axe into the young man's skull. Ena quickly moved his head to the left avoiding the killing blow but still getting hit in the shoulder.

He let out a quiet grunt, the genin stabbed Amaterasu into Sub-zero's wrist making the ninja grunt and back off. Ena grabbed the axe firmly lodged in his shoulder, pulled it out and threw it at the Grandmaster. Sub-zero was able to dodge his own weapon but was unable to do anything to avoid the knee that flew into his face breaking his nose doing. Pressing his advantage sent a series of slashes at the older man who either dodged or blocked the majority although Ena did get a few hits in taking off chips of the grandmaster's HP which had lessened considerably. Sub-zero slammed his foot onto the ground a wall of ice appearing between the two combatants forcing Ena to back off. The ice wall suddenly expanded and began to move forward and then suddenly exploded with Sub-zero leaping out towards Ena. A punch to the side of the head dazed the genin, as his vision swam, he never noticed the block of ice forming above his head which suddenly and violently slammed downwards onto his head sending him to one knee, ice formed beneath the older ninja's feet and he slid forward knocking his opponent into the air, Sub-zero grabbed the youth out of the air a slammed him into a wall of ice and then violently punched him through it knocking him onto a nearby tree winding him. Ice formed around Sub-zero's arm and shoulder becoming a shield he charged at Ena as he was trying to get up throwing the young genin throw the air. As he flew Ena retrieved a kunai and threw it at Sub-zero hitting the grandmaster in the stomach, grunting the man grabbed the blade and froze it snapping most of it off laying his palms flat against each other thy cryomancer began to pull them apart as a ball formed Ena had mere moments to duck behind a rock before a beam of ice blasted towards him.
The ice quickly froze the rock and it quickly began to crack Ena had to think of a plan fast but what. As he felt the chill of the beam grow closer and closer a beeping noise made him look down the omnitrix had turned green again the boy smirked. Pressing a button, the face of the omnitrix popped up showing the silhouette of Heatblast as the rock finally shattered he slammed the face back down and green light blinded Kuai Liang, suddenly he felt something pushing back. Steam began to rise clouding his vision, the grandmaster could feel his control slipping he had used the beam too long while powerful it drained much of his power, so he let go and rolled to the side narrowly avoiding a gout of flame which scorched a tree black. As the steam cleared, he saw something that rocked him to his core, the creature that stood before him it looked like it had come from the very depths of the Netherrealm a being that he would have fought during the war against Shinnok alongside his allies from Earthrealm. For the first time in quite a while the Lin Kuei ninja spoke. "What manner of creature are you, who do you serve."
"It's me Sub-zero, Ena but I suppose in this form you can call me Heatblast. ready to get your ass beat?" Sub-zero said nothing and instead entered his fighting stance, Ena flexed his fingers and shot his arm forwards a stream of fire leaving his hands heading straight for Sub-zero who raised a wall of ice that quickly melted but that was fine. Crashing through the remains of the wall Heatblast caught the shaft of an icy hammer snapping the top off, the flaming being smashed it on the head of the Lin Kuei's grandmaster dazing him, he pressed on by grabbing the man by the arm melting the protective braces and burning the skin beneath the older ninja grunted in pain. Suddenly he pulled back and instead of a fleshy arm in Heatblast's grip there was instead an icy one Sub-zero had replaced himself with an ice clone! Kicking the statue away Heatblast dashed forward and drop kicked the man leaving burn marks in shape of his feet on the man's chest! Through the battle Ena had been keeping an eye on Kuai Liang's HP and noticed most of it had vanished along with his SP and MP he had barely any left especially now that he had transformed it seemed fire did even more damage than normal to the cryomancer. As the man clutched his chest in pain and Ena made a split-second decision, he pressed the omnitrix symbol on his chest and returned to normal. He looked at Sub-zero and spoke to him. "Do you yield?" the cryomancer took a moment before answering.
"Normally Mortal Kombat requires death for there to be a victor but this is not a tournament and I feel that you would refuse to kill me, so yes I yield."
Ena let out an explosive sigh "oh thank fuck, sage I'm probably gonna bruise you hit really hard and did you have to stab me so many times? And throw me through a wall of ice?"
Sub-zero could not help but chuckle quietly, it was going to be interesting fighting alongside this boy, Ena began to stretch trying to get some feeling back into his body he looked at Sub-zero. "You don't have to stick around you know, there's a house about three miles that way if you wanna you know, chill."

Silently Sub-zero walked away and Ena chuckled.

reaching into his inventory he retrieved his second gem, this one was coloured white, red, and black, this one unlike the others so far did not feel as powerful, it didn't vibrate or crack.

Tapping yes, he watched as instead of exploding outward it faded from his hands and reformed a few feet away. In the gem's place stood, a woman she looked a few years older than Ena, 7 years older at a guess. She was three inches smaller than Ena standing at 5'6'', she had long dark brown hair that went down to hair waste and was tied into a dolphin tail. Her eyes were red, and she had an athletic build with a slender but noticeably toned physique she was also very busty, her attire consisted of a white tank top over a black sports bra that exposed her midriff, a black miniskirt with pleated segments that had black shorts underneath with a belt and suspenders. She was also wearing black leather gloves with metal plates on the back and knuckles with a red and black leather vambrace on her left arm. She wore black and red boots with black leg protectors.
They stared into each other's eyes for a few moments when Ena hesitantly waved at the women. "Uh hi… my name's Ena… nice to meet you?" The women continued to look confused, she looked around for a moment before focusing back on the genin. "This…isn't sector 7… is it?" she said quietly her voice barley above a whisper. Ena took a moment before answering. "No, I'm afraid not, you're in a place called the land of waves and I need your help." She thought for a moment before giving her answer. "…Okay I'll help, my name's Tifa Lockhart… if you wanted to know."
"Nice to meet you Tifa me and my team are living in an old guys house just now." He looked east and saw the setting sun. "We should probably go there now I've been out here a few hours and my teams probably there already so… let's go." He finished with a smile, which Tifa returned after a moment.
As they walked, they talked learning things about each other and their history. Ena learned that Tifa was from a place called Midgard and was a member of a small group of freedom fighters knon as Avalanche, who fought against an organisation known as the Shinra electric power company who destroyed her hometown, she also ran a bar. While they continued to walk Tifa finally asked a question that had been on her mind for a while now. "Hey Ena, I was wondering but… uh… w-what happened to you?" she indicated his torn clothing and wounds some of which were still steaming shut, glancing at said wounds "Oh those… yeah before I summoned you, I had a bit of a fight with someone else. There was a lot of ice and fire involved, I-It was strange but me and the guy are cool now… heh." He smiled lightly at the pun which confused Tifa. They continued to walk in a comfortable silence fir the next few minutes when Tifa spoke up again.
"Hey Ena."
"Yeah?"
"How old are you?" the bartender asked curious as she had no idea but if she were to guess he must be around 17 to 19.
"I'm twelve." The jinchuruki answered as if it were the most casual thing in the world.
Tifa stopped for a minute trying to process and promptly shouted out. "WHAT!" the busty brawler could not understand this kid had to be at least 6'0 and was muscular as hell. How in Midgard was he twelve years old! Ena smirked at her exclamation people always did that when he told them his age. "Shocking I know but believe it or not I used to be pretty short for quite a few years. Then suddenly I got a massive growth spurt about a month ago confusing isn't it." He could not help but laugh at Tifa's expression. After that they continued to talk.

Ena and his team were sitting once again in Tazuna's house along with Tifa and Sub-zero who Ena had introduced earlier and had explained the events of the past few days to them, Kakashi was the first to speak. "So, we all know the plan the question is how are we going to pull it off this has to be careful and precise we go after the wrong person first and we could have a war on the streets and army coming here to kills us, so we have to choose carefully."
"We can't go for Izaya at all so he's out." Ena stated, his Sasuke and Sakura looking confused. "What… why not?" Sakura asked
"The man is a ghost, there has only been one sighting of him in the past twenty years, people know he exists but that's it. Until yesterday no one knew where he was or if he was alive, there was rumour's but that's it nothing else. Konoha's been after the guy for years, every village has but nobody has any information." Kakashi said a noticeable amount of anger in his tone the jonin had a personal stake in capturing Izaya. the man had told Konoha about the Kanaba bridge and how vital it was to Iwa, but it was later found out he had told the stone village Konoha's plan to destroy it. If it weren't for the ghost Obito would still be alive.
"Alright who can we go after then?" Sasuke asked with Ena quickly replying. "we could try and attack Vasago and his team but that has its own problems which is we don't know who else is their hell he had his right hand man with him so that means the other seven jesters are there as well. Each one of them fight me and Kakashi pretty easily. if it was one on one i could beat them but against all eight, I like a good fight, but I don't have a death wish. If we go for laughing coffin it would take myself, Kakashi, Sasuke, Sub-zero, Jeanne Albedo and Tifa to beat them." Speaking of the servant Ena looked behind him staring Jeanne in the eyes "Jeanne what do you think?" the ruler looked startled for a moment, looking around in confusion she looked back at Ena. "Master… you can see me?" the servant asked with Ena looking at her confusion and concern in his eyes. "What are you talking about? Of course I can see you."
He looked back at his team and Tazuna who all looked confused and worried. "My lord, who are you talking to?" Ena looked at Albedo confused by her question "Jeanne, who do think I'm talking to?"
Everyone else exchanged glances "Ena Jeanne isn't there she's upstairs." Kakashi gently said while he a subtly as he could raised up his headband, trying to see if perhaps a genjutsu had been cast on the youth without the genin noticing. Ena continued to look at his servant trying to understand what was happening when he came to a realisation if Jeanne was a spirit and from what she had told him had the abilitay to turn into a ghostly form mabye he could see them when they were like that.
Unique class ability discovered: Spiritual awareness.
Description: As a Shinigami you have the ability to see and sense spirits and other such creatures of the dead variety.
Ena stared at the text for a moment then looked at Jeanne. "Jeanne are you… in spirit form." The woman did not reply but a few moments later Ena noticed a slight shimmer around her form, and he heard gasps. Looking back, he saw that everyone else had varying looks of shock on their face, Kakashi was the first to speak "Well... that was interesting, I think we should talk about that at some point." The group nodded and switched focus back to forming a plan. "So, we know we can't go for Izaya because we don't know where he is and we cant go after laughing coffin so that just leaves Kazura, she runs Gato's brothel's and drug trading." Ena told the group.
"What do we know about her?" Sasuke asked.
"Well, she's definitely not a fighter I can tell you that much, but she is very capable at seduction and poisons, in fact that's how Gato is in control of Wave she seduced the original Daimyo and a few days later poisoned him. Tazuna do you know how many brothels there are in wave?"
"Uh one it's called uh Gato's gals I think." The old builder replied.
"Alright that narrows it down, now for a plan I think I should infiltrate it solo- "
"No." Kakashi interrupted "You went by yourself last time and we found you half dead on the door step, you're not going alone not this time. Someone is going with whether you like it or not." The sensei said firmly.
Ena sighed then nodded "Alright but who's going with me you can't your still healing and Sakura isn't strong enough… no offence" the pink haired girl merely glared but could not help but agree.
"I shall go with you my lord." Albedo said a gentle smile on her face, Ena glanced at the succubus he still didn't know a lot about her, but she didn't seem to be the stealthy type more like the crush everything in her path type. "That could work actually." Kakashi said, Ena looked at him wating for him to continue. "Well Albedo is a beautiful woman so maybe we could use her to infiltrate the brothel and maybe we could send Tsunami as well." That gained a look of outrage from Tazuna "I'm sorry did you just say you want to send my daughter into a fucking brothel owned by Gato! ARE YOU INSANE!" the man shouted furious that this man he barley knew was willing to send his daughter to such a dangerous place.
"Maybe Albedo can handle herself in a fight, but Tsunami can't I'm not letting you send her the-" Tazuna started to argue.
"Dad!" Tsunami interrupted her father. "It's okay if me going to a brothel will help save Wave, I'll do it... ok?" Tazuna hesitated for a moment then nodded in acceptance. Ena didn't agree with the plan but if the mother was willing to go, he couldn't stop her, he was about to speak when suddenly. "I'll go as well. Ena needs someone to watch his back." Sasuke said, Ena glanced at the last Uchiha then nodded in acceptance before speaking. "There is one more thing we need before we can go. Gato cannot know we are after him, so we need something to hide our faces while Albedo and Tsunami infiltrate the brothel."
"I think I have something." Tazuna said and Ena and Sasuke exchanged glances. "No need i have one of my own." Ena said Tazuna nodded and began to walk to his room in order to retriev the mask, Sasuke looked at Ena for a moment then turned and follwoed after the aging bridge builder. Ena watched them leave after a moment two new text box's appeared.

Objective: Deafeat Gato and his luitenants and free the land of waves from his tyranny

Objective; infeltrate the brothel and destroy Gato's drug trade

Ena exhaled and nodded to himself, it was time to get started
A/N: So that's chapter eight done told you it wouldn't take as long, originally, I was going to make it longer, but I feel like it was dragging on a bit and it was quite a bit of talking son next chapter going to be the actual infiltration. So Sub-zero and Tifa have joined the cast I am excited to use them in this arc especially Sub-zero speaking of Mortal Kombat the trailer for the movie recently dropped and it seems kind of… meh I'm going to hold judgment until it comes out, but it does look very violent which is always good considering in the original film .
Originally, I was going to talk about how the game works in these notes but I decided not to instead like I said at some point I'm going to make a separate story on how stats exactly work considering how many contradictions there is but I have changed them in the past chapters along with updating this one. Speaking of contradictions below I have put Ena's current stats as they should be.
