Minato was in the living room currently child proofing his whole house starting with the living room. The Hokage was currently making sure every breakable object was glued down and every slippery and hard surface was carpeted and nothing was movable and or wobbly.

Now why was Minato doing all this child proofing now we'll because Naruto in the last few months had grown from a small five month old infant who barely got a grasp on crawling to a energetic and rambunctious ten months old who was not only satisfied with crawling but he would cruise along reachable surfaces.

"That should do it."

Minato admired his handiwork, it was a bit crude but he managed to nail down another piece of furniture.

Naruto's newfound mobility has given Minato his fair share of worries and headaches, with his son grabbing any surface in sight Naruto had some close calls with falling furniture, glass, and even some of Minato's ninja tools.

"Alright that's everything."

Minato wiped the sweat from his brow as he plopped down on the couch.

"I've been hard at work all morning...and Naruto is already down for his usual nap...maybe it wouldn't hurt if I rested my eyes for a few minutes."

Minato shut his eyes and he quickly slipped into a deep sleep.

Sometime later he opened his eyes to see Naruto laughing as he was climbing onto him.

"Hey Naruto...wait how are you in here?"

Minato rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating but no his son who was supposed to be asleep in his crib had somehow got out and made his way to the living room.

"Dang it Naruto you're too nimble for your age."

"Dada num num Dada num num!"

Naruto chanted as he bounced on his father's lap.

"Alright I hear you Naruto."

Minato picked up the energetic child.

"Daddy will make lunch."

Minato went to the kitchen and he placed Naruto in his highchair.

"Alright what's on today's menu."

Minato looked through the fridge for something he could make for lunch.

"Alright Naruto do you want a peanut butter jelly sandwich."

Naruto merely babbled in response.

"That doesn't sound like a no."

Minato went about making a peanut butter jelly sandwich which he then started cutting into small pieces and he placed the pieces on the tray of the highchair.

"There you are son, eat up." Said Minato.

Naruto merely stared at the pieces of the sandwich that were paid before him, this wasn't what he had wanted for lunch.

"What's wrong Naruto I thought you were hungry."

Naruto shook his head.

"You had peanut and jelly before you loved it.

Minato grabbed one of the pieces of the cut up sandwich and held it up to the baby's face so he could eat the sandwich.

Naruto started whining as he pushed away Minato's hand.

"When did you start being picky."

Minato took a sandwich piece and tried to get Naruto to eat it again but the man was having no luck as Naruto kept his lips sealed.

"Fine so PBJ is out of the question so how about some chicken bites now I know you like those."

Minato microwaved the chicken bites and he presented them to Naruto but the child did not want those either.

"Well that strange you love those...what do you want to eat Naruto?"

Minato opened the fridge to figure out what his son had a taste for.

Naruto knew what he wanted but he couldn't figure out how to say it..

"Wa wa." Naruto quietly said to himself.

"Hmmm."

Minato tried to think what to feed his son but all the usual things he fed the child wasn't what Naruto wanted.

"Wa wa wa wa!!."

Naruto shouted at his father.

"What did you say Wawa?...are you thirsty Naruto?"

Minato took Naruto's bottle and he filled it up with water after handing to his son the boy merely stared at his bottle.

"Ah!!"

Naruto pushed his bottle to the floor, this wasn't what he wanted either.

Minato sighed tiredly.

"Naruto honestly."

Minato bent down to pick up the bottle.

"Wa wa wa wa."

Naruto started reaching towards a cupboard.

Minato saw that the boy was reaching his hands out to the cupboard, curious Minato went to the cupboard and opened it to see only some canned food and a couple packs of ramen.

Naruto saw the familiar food item, a cup of instant ramen, the baby practically started drooling over the thought of eating his favorite food item.

"There ain't anything in here for a baby to eat." Minato said as he closed the cabinet.

Naruto's eyes merely went wide when his father had closed the cabinet thus cutting off access to the baby's favorite meal.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaah!!

Naruto started crying loudly as he reached out his hands to the cabinet.

"Naruto honestly, what is your deal today? You were just fine a moment ago."

Minato said as he started checking over his son.

"Your diaper is clean and I don't think you're sick so what's the issue?"

"Wa wa wa wama wama!!"

Naruto chanted repeatedly to his father as the boy was still reaching his hands out to the cabinet.

"Wama?... Minato was trying to figure out what Naruto meant, but then the blond Hokage started figuring what Naruto wanted.

"Naruto...are you trying to say ramen?"

Minato said curiously as he opened the cabinet and grabbed the pack of instant ramen and he held it in Naruto, the sight of Naruto's favorite food item stifled the cries of Naruto.

"Wama."

Naruto said as he grabbed the pack of ramen from Minato and he started gnawing on the instant ramen package.

"Hold on there Naru-sun Daddy needs to cook those first."

Minato took the package from Naruto so he can begin cooking it.

"Ah ah." Naruto whined as he reached out for the noodles again but when the boy was his father started cooking the ramen the boy looked at his father mesmerized by his father cooking his favorite food.

A few minutes later the ramen was finished. The smell coming from the pot of ramen was practically making the baby drool.

"Alright let's get you fed I can tell you're hungry."

Minato placed Naruto in his highchair and he got a small bowl and he filled it with cut up strands of ramen noodles.

"Alright Naruto I bet you're ready to dig in now."

Minato said as he began to start feeding his son.

Naruto was content that he was eating his favorite food. The boy was barely taking a break between each bite of his noodles.

"Jeez Naruto are you even breathing when you eat?"

Minato continued to feed Naruto but this time making sure to have the boy pace himself when he fed him.

Some spoonfuls later Minato had fed Naruto the entire bowl of ramen.

"Wow Naruto you never finished all of a meal before I'm surprised."

Minato said as he looked up to see Naruto reach out his hands to the rest of the ramen on the stove.

"You want more?"

Minato asked as he prepared another bowl of cut up ramen for his son.

"Alright here's round two Naruto."

Minato said as he was about to feed his son.

(Knock Knock)

"Now who could that be."

Minato put the spoon back into the bowl and started walking towards the living room.

"Dada Dada!"

Naruto reached his hands to Minato.

"Fine."

Minato picked up Naruto and carried him to the living room while he went to go answer the door.

Minato looked through his peephole and he saw Kakashi.

"Good he's here."

Minato opened his door.

"My darling pupil, how was your vacation?"

Minato said, oddly happy.

"It was great that I enjoyed my time in the Land of Lightning."

Kakashi said somewhat loudly.

"Please come in, I was just making lunch."

Minato welcomed Kakashi inside.

When Kakashi was inside the house Minato nodded to his former student and the two men started doing hand signs when two men stopped an invisible barrier that formed around Minato's home.

"Were you followed?" Minato asked Kakashi.

"Briefly but Anko and I split up and dealt with Danzo's agents she'll stop by later.

Kakashi handed a scroll to Minato.

"Me and Anko found some... disturbing things during our recon mission."

"That bad huh."

Minato said as he placed down the bowl of ramen he was holding on to and he started looking over the scroll.

While Minato was reading the scroll Kakashi turned to see Naruto crawling to the table where Minato had placed the bowl of ramen on.

"He's gotten a bit bigger sensei."

Kakashi said, referring to Naruto.

"Yep my little Naru-sun is growing up so fast."

Minato said.

"You're feeding him ramen now?"

Kakashi said as he grabbed the bowl.

"Yeah just found out he loves the stuff."

Minato said as he sat down.

While the two men were talking Naruto was dead set on eating more ramen so the baby started crawling to Kakashi hoping he can get his lunch from the man.

Kakashi stood up and he placed the bowl of ramen on the living room table.

Naruto merely huffed at back and forth he had to do to get his food so Naruto started crawling to the living room table.

"Kakashi, am I reading this correctly he does this?!"

Minato asked his student in disbelief.

"Yes it's all true we he'd make the children get close with each other and then have them fight to the death, it's supposed to kill their emotions make them better soldiers when they're older."

Minato shook his head.

"I knew he was bad but I didn't think he was a total monster who does something like that."

Minato said.

"Someone who revels in the shadows we rescued most of the kids some of them we were able to reunite with parents in the leaf, others are in a orphanage and they were a few kids found after their..initiations some were too far gone so we have them in a psychiatric ward and there were some...bodies too we had to bury them at the site."

Kakashi dreaded the last part of his report.

"We'll have to give those kids a proper burial then so I guess we'll have to figure out where to find Danzo and strike but he went into hiding so we'll figure out where he went and make him pay for his crimes."

Minato took a heavy sigh.

"Also sensei while we there Anko and I found another kid... he's not too much older than your kid. The kid that was paired with him said he was two right before he...you know."

Kakashi said to his sensei.

"He's using toddlers now!" Minato shouted.

"Yes I believe the kid he was paired up with the older boy was supposed to kill him but instead sacrificed himself for the two year old his name is Sai and with your permission me and Anko decided we would like to look after Sai for a while until his parents are found." Kakashi asked his sensei.

"Well taking care of a kid will be hard but of course you can."

Minato said to the white haired man giving his approval.

"Thank you sensei."

Kakashi bowed.

Minato was trying to relax an upcoming stress headache, how could he not notice such atrocities happening in his own village only if he didn't so much time being a pathetic widower and do his Hokage duties like he should have.

While the two men were talking they heard some rattling. They turned to the living room table where Naruto was trying to reach the bowl of ramen.

"Be careful Naruto."

Minato picked up the baby and placed him on his playmat away from the table.

Naruto growled now he was getting annoyed he wanted his ramen and it's keep being taken away from him Naruto was about to crawl to the new location of his lunch but he decided that since every time he crawled anywhere he never makes it in time so he decided that he'll try a different approach.

"Wama."

Naruto said as he crawled to a nearby piece of furniture so that he could pull himself into a standing position. Once the boy was standing he slowly let go of the furniture he was holding onto and he started slowly walking to the table that had his ramen.

Kakashi saw Naruto walking to the ramen.

"Hey sensei are you going to get your son."

Kakashi asked the Kage.

Minato looked up to see Naruto.

"Ah he's fine he's just walking around... walking around... walking...Naruto walking...OH MY GOD HE'S WALKING!!".

Minato quickly scooped up Naruto and hugged his son.

"WIll taking care of a kid do this to me?"

Kakashi sighed.

"It's not a bad thing to feel immense not and pride in your child's achievements...damn now I was feeling down in dumps due to the Intel you gave me but now I feel good and I'm ready to perform my Hokage duties to put you know who behind bars."

Minato said to his student.

"Right...well I'm going head out now, me and Anko need to help get the kid settled. I'll be bringing him to that daycare sometime later this month to see how he does with other kids."

"It'll probably be good for him to do that and get to know more his age."

Minato responded.

"Well worth Sensei I'll take my leave now."

With that said Kakashi dispersed the barrier and he left.

"Dada wama."

Naruto said to Minato, reaching out to the bowl of ramen.

"Ah right you still never finished your seconds my bad Naruto."

Minato placed Naruto on the floor.

"Follow Daddy son."

Minato said as he held his son's hand.

Naruto got up to his feet and he walked with his father.

"I can't believe you're walking already I wish Kushina was here to see this that you're finally walking...the little mischievous ball of energy is walking now...oh crap...I really have my work cut out for me don't I."
