Walking down the boardwalk arm in arm with Sesshomaru, Kagome turned her head towards the ocean seeming to be lost in thought.
"Papa, can I go on the bumper cars and the Ferris wheel and the swings that go super high?" Kisho asked excitedly his head whipping in separate directions.
Taking out his wallet he gave him some cash. "Go buy yourself a roll of tickets. Your mother and I will be here."
"Thanks papa!" Kisho ran off in a flash.
"Penny for your thoughts." Sesshomaru said at the uncharacteristically quietness.
"I don't know." Kagome replied honestly. "I guess, I just got so used to it being us and the kids for so long…I'm not ready for this next step. Being back here where we left off, I don't know what to do."
"It is a hard thing and not an easy decision but we knew that when we decided to come back here once they left." Sesshomaru said.
"Actually doing it though, being here…it's different than talking about it." Kagome shook her head staring out at the ocean. "I mean, this is where we're supposed to be, where everyone else is…"
"Kagome, we can be anywhere you desire. You know that. If this is not working for you then we can sell off the house, be anyone at any point in time." Sesshomaru interrupted. "I want you to be happy, above everything else."
Turning to him she smiled softly while she placed her hand to his cheek.
"I am so happy lover." She replied. "We're just different than the lives we left behind and I have to learn how to acclimate to that. I'll find my way."
"Don't be afraid to keep this to yourself. Talk to me, we will work through it." He said taking her into his arms. Leaning against his chest she hummed contently.
"Promise." She whispered out turning her head back to the surf.
Hana walked with Mikaboshi pointing out different spots she remembered from her childhood. Eventually they came to the school.
Stopping outside of the gates she looked it up and down.
"I remember it being much bigger than this." Hana said.
"You were quite small." Mikaboshi turned to her with a smirk.
"They kicked me out."
"Oh?" Mikaboshis interest seemed to peak.
"It was before you came. The other kids started to tease me. I got mad and my claws came out, I scratched one of the boys very badly. I felt so terribly about it." Hana sighed. "Then I was taken to a counselor and asked a bunch of questions. They thought something was wrong with me or that my parents were abusing me; that was really only a few months ago."
"Quite the trouble you got into before I arrived. Hm, now I don't feel so bad for causing such a stir." He joked but Hana seemed lost in her thoughts.
"It is all the same except for me. Can we go?" She closed her eyes as tears fell down her cheeks. "I want to go home."
"Absolutely goddess." He said wrapping his arm around her shoulders. Parents had begun to arrive with their kids in tow to drop them off for morning classes.
Hana glanced seeing Takanaka-san with her son, the boy she had sliced open.
"I'm sorry." She said softly as she passed by them noting the large scar on his cheek.
"Is that the kid you mangled? The one that was picking on you?" Mikaboshi asked.
"The same." Hana said. Glancing back Mikaboshi made a small swiping motion with his fingers.
"My backpack!" Stopping Hana turned around to see the boys bag had ripped at the strap causing it to fall to the ground.
"How did that happen? Cheap bags." His mother said picking it up.
"Really?" Hana asked looking to Mikaboshi as he smirked.
"What? It's a cheap bag." He replied ushering her away.
"I hope that you won't play those types of games on our child." Hana said.
"Oh no. Our child is going to be a master of chaos. The best any realm has ever known." Mikaboshi stated.
"You seem so sure of that. Maybe it will be a healer or a guardian? Or, more human than demon or god." Hana mused. Stopping her Mikaboshi smiled at her.
"It is ours and that is what will make it special." He said lovingly holding her gaze. "There were so many centuries that I thought I would never see you again and now, if it seems to good to be true."
"I know how you feel. We were both trapped and apart for so long. I never want to let you go."
"None will take you away from me again Hana. Ever." Holding her to him she wrapped her arms around him tightly.
