Hana sat in her garden cutting some flowers to bring inside and weeding the ground.

Sitting back she looked at up the tree in the center remembering she and her mother playing, exercising, and having picnics together with Rin and her children.

Now she was older than them, her friends. They had only recognized her by her scent, she was even older than her uncle Sota now, and it had hurt her making her feel robbed of what had been her life.

She and Kisho had never wanted for anything, they had good and happy lives with their parents, but she had always missed their close friends and family as did her mother.

Sighing she set back to go to work on her project when she felt a sudden shift in the air. Standing and turning quickly she saw none other than the lady of the west standing before her.

"I would say welcome home, however, your home was never this hovel but in the celestial palace." She said.

Hana stared her down not saying a word. "I see you have inherited Sesshomarus coldness, pity. I do have to say though, you look more like me than you ever did before."

Standing her ground Hana brought her hand up putting her claws on display.

"You are not welcome here." She said slowly.

"Now, now Hana. I am here to tell you that while I am simply ecstatic at the idea of becoming a grandmother again this pregnancy cannot be." Her original mother said. "It is an abomination."

"This being is meant to be. Mikaboshi and I are meant to be. We were created for one another. Attempt to kill it and you will have far more than us to deal with." Hana threatened.

"By whom? If you are referring to mother Amaterasu, well she has not been seen for quite some time. I heard she had taken on an earthly form at one point and died. The humans enshrined the corpse thus trapping her."

Taking a step closer to her Hana readied herself to strike. "There is none who can challenge me and none who will oppose me."

"You!" Kagome shouted from the kitchen doorway. Hana looked up to see her mother standing with her arrow drawn against her bow.

The purifying energy she possessed snapped on the arrow head dangerously.

"Ah. If it isn't Sesshomarus whore. I think we can agree formalities can be dropped."

"You do not speak of my mother in that way!" Hana demanded. Going forward to hit her with her claws her wrist was caught between a sleek strong hand.

"One thing you should know; pregnancy drains your energy." She said placing her hand over Hana's stomach.

"Let her go!" Kagome yelled shooting her arrow. In an instant she was gone with the arrow whizzing past Hana's head as she fell to her knees on the ground.

Placing her hand against her stomach she felt as if she were going to vomit as the fear of what had nearly happened hit. Hearing her mother run to her she soon felt her arms around her in their comforting embrace.

"Hana, is there something you want to tell me?" Kagome asked having heard what was said.

"Mama, she's going to try to kill my baby." Feeling the tears fall as she buried her face against her mothers shoulder Kagome took a deep sigh.

"No. She won't." Helping Hana stand she wrapped her arm around her shoulder. "Come on, we need to tell your father and Mikaboshi what's happened."

Nodding Hana agreed allowing her mother to lead her inside. Going into the kitchen Kagome shut the double doors locking them securely.

Sitting Hana down she went to the counter picking up her phone. Sending a quick text to Sesshomaru she looked to her daughter.

"Where is Mikaboshi?" She asked.

"He is already on his way. I summoned him here." Hana replied. Kagome nodded her head as Sesshomaru entered the kitchen.

"What is it?" He questioned his gaze flicking from his wife to his daughter and back again. Mikaboshi came in a moment later taking in his distraught mate.

Biting his tongue he went to her sitting beside her and taking her hands in his.

"Your mother paid us a visit." Kagome began.

"Oh?" Visibly tensing Sesshomaru set his jaw.

"Mhmm." Kagome nodded crossing her arms over her chest. "She's after Hana." Turning to Mikaboshi she cocked a brow at him. "Do you know?"

"Yes." He nodded his head in answer.

"Know what?" Sesshomaru attempted to keep his irritation down but he did not like being kept out of the loop.

"I am pregnant." Hana said softly taking a shaky breath.

"So it isn't necessarily you she is after but your child." Sesshomaru stated using his logic to look at this objectively for the moment.

"Yes. She still is adamant that we shouldn't be together. What I just cannot understand is why?" Hana shook her head.

"Control." Sesshomaru said. "That is all it is." Taking in Mikaboshis expression he appeared deep in thought. "This is your responsibility to protect your mate and unborn."

"I am aware. I have a sword, it was broken into two pieces by your father and scattered away." Squaring his eye at Sesshomaru he knew what Mikaboshi was going to set out to do. "For the time being I implore you to watch over Hana until I return."

"Very well. Do not fail in this endeavor." Sesshomaru warned.

"I waited millennia to be my goddess again, I will not." Mikaboshi stated. Kagome took a breath feeling the heavy testosterone in the room and cleared her throat.

"You of all people know what it's like mate to be away from your wife and little one. I have no doubt that Mikaboshi will be back as soon as he can." Kagome soothed.

Giving a nod Sesshomaru settled his gaze on Hana.

"I suppose my advice came to little, to late." He said. Hana bit at her lower lip and looked at him sheepishly.

"Are you mad at me?" She asked. "Or…disappointed?"

"No." Sesshomaru replied. "Your child will be welcomed with open arms."

"Thank you papa." She breathed out clearly relieved.

A/N: Hello. So, funny enough, in Yashahime the swords were once one sword that was Mikaboshis. When I saw that in the show I was like, well thank you for handing that one to me. I just have to do some quick research and onward with the story.

Happy reading.
