The gathering at the Granger's residence was a joyous one. People were laughing and joking and there might have even been a bit of singing. No one was happier though, then Harry and Hermione. For, tomorrow was their wedding day. They had struggled long and hard to get to this moment, but they had made it, and it was worth every step of the way.

"Okay listen up everyone," said Sirius as he stood up and tapped his glass with his fork. "Usually, about this time the best man stands up and gives a bit of a speech." He looked around at the people gathered in the back lawn of the Granger's house. He and Lupin were there, the last Marauders remaining. Neville and Luna were sitting next to Mr. and Mrs. Granger talking about memories of when they were little. Dobby was here somewhere, probably fascinated by the swing set again. And of course, they lucky couple themselves.

"Now, I've never really had much practice at speeches. That's what comes from being locked away for ten years. In fact, I think the last speech I gave was in a very similar setting. About twenty years ago, when James and Lily were in the same spot as our fine Harry and Hermione here. Now, don't get me wrong, even though I'm out of practice, I take this matter very Sirius-ly," he paused for the expected groans and muffled chuckles.

"Harry, I haven't been in your life near as much I had should have. But what I've seen of you, would make anyone proud to be even a passing acquaintance. You have grown into a fine man; one who stands for himself and those he loves, one who is loyal beyond any possible means of measuring, one who loves like very few still know how to. And this love, I know, will go entirely to loving Hermione. Hermione, the first time I met you, you and Harry literally broke the laws of time and space to rescues a man you had just met. A man who, until a few hours before, you thought was a traitor and a murderer. That trust you placed in me, and that loyalty you showed is just the tip of the iceberg to who you are. You are Harry's perfect match, and he is yours. You two could not be more perfect for each other. You are the push to the other's pull. You are the fire to their ice, their man to their wife."

He paused, eye's watering. "Harry, I don't know what else to say. Besides that I love you both, more than you can know. And that we are expecting a lot of little Marauders running around very soon." Everyone present, still with tear filled eyes, laughed at this, causing Harry and Hermione to blush.

Harry stood up and walked over to Sirius, giving a big hug. After a second, Hermione came and joined them. When they broke apart, tears were openly streaming down all their faces. "Thank you Sirius. There is no one I would rather have at my side tomorrow when I see Hermione walking down the aisle."
