Scanning her old nursery Hana had not been able to step foot inside. Tentatively she did going to the small bed that had her moko-moko draped over the comforter.

Inuyasha had returned it to her and she had been amazed at how small it was. She could recall when it was large enough to cover her entirely and wrap around her.

If she had had it with her it would have grown with her as it had done for four years but now it seemed like an alien thing, just another remnant of her past.

Moving to her dresser she saw the small pictures she had drawn with doodles and her writing tablet she had used to practice her letters on.

Opening a drawer she took out the little clothes finding some of her favorite outfits and holding them up to her.

Suddenly feeling overwhelmed she put them away going to the rocking chair her mother had nursed and comforted her in.

Sitting in it she closed her eyes thinking back on when she was an infant staring up at her mother as she looked down on her with a great affection that had made her feel whole and loved.

Placing her hand to her stomach she felt the little burst of energy from her own child and smiled softly.

"This will be your room. Your father and I will never be far from you little one." She whispered out. Feeling Kagomes presence she opened her eyes.

Her mother stood in the doorway smiling.

"Sorry honey. I didn't mean to disturb you." Kagome said moving into the space.

"You're not mama." She replied rocking herself gently. Kagome looked around the room and sighed.

"I always loved this room. The moment your father brought us in here after you were born…it was just perfect."

Walking to the drapes on the double doors leading to the balcony she opened them. "I would just stand here with you for hours sometimes looking at the garden."

"I remember." Hana nodded her head. "It was so long ago now but everything here is the same, the only thing that is different is all of us."

"I feel the same way." Kagome admitted. Turning to her daughter she let out a small sigh. "I'm not upset with how things turned out, it just wasn't how we planned them for you or your brother."

"She used to come here at night." Hana said suddenly her eye going to the corner of the room. "Seiobo would tell me things before I remembered who I was."

"What kind of things?" Kagome asked curiously and a little annoyed.

"That one day I would ascend her throne, not to hold back on my abilities. She was always very affectionate towards me in a mothering way."

Shaking her head she sighed. "I suppose she saw it as her second chance with me seeing as how I couldn't remember being Kannon after I was reincarnated into Hana."

"You father warned me early on about her. I thought she was concerned about me since I was having you but now I know it was to get what she wanted."

Kagome closed her eyes tightly. "She told me that you destiny was to be the keeper of the sacred jewel which prompted us to destroy it. Now I wonder why. What her real gain was."

"I have no idea." Hana replied wondering herself. "I am sure there is some reason behind it. I remember watching you for some time, going in and out the well at her request. When she told me what was going to happen between you and Sesshomaru I did not approve of it."

"Then when she tried to convince me to be your child she appealed to my grief and said I would forget it. I couldn't bear it any longer, being her prisoner and being forced to watch Mikaboshi trapped and tormented…I gave in."

"I'm glad that you did. You're my girl and I cannot imagine not having you in our lives." Kagome turned to face her daughter with a smile.

"It put me in this odd in between place. I knew what was going on and I could feel myself inside of you but I saw everything that was happening on the outside of you." Hana thought out.

"Your father saw you in that place when he was injured by Naraku. He said you appeared the way you do now, as an adult."

"Yes. He came to me, I never summoned anyone to me. He was able to once and Rin she came in her sleep. Always on her own. So, we became friends."

"When Rin would come to me in that realm between where my soul existed it was always a field of flowers and she began to call me Hana."

"And you told her to eat and hand out the panchao."

"I knew that you would be lonely without your friends so I told her to give Sango and Miroku the panchao and to eat it herself."

"It was wrong to use little Rin in such a way but I wanted everyone to be together for a long time." Hana looked away as if in guilt.

"If you hadn't then I never would have seen any of them again." Kagome said. "We all do things we regret and sometimes they work out."

"Like right now. Mikaboshi and I were not trying to get pregnant but we didn't do anything to prevent it either."

"I tormented myself for most of my pregnancy with you. It isn't worth it, it's done and a baby is a good thing. Babies bring so much joy and happiness to everyone around you…don't regret this the way I did." Kagome appealed.

"Papa is upset with me and I can't say I blame him. We were reckless but we finally were together in ways we never thought…" Sniffling as tears fell down her face Kagome was beside her to pull her close to her in an embrace.

"Your father is dealing with this in his way. He will come around, he always does." Kagome soothed. "He loves you more than anything and will do everything for you."

"I hope so." Hana buried her face into her mothers chest breathing in her familiar scent.

"Now, lets talk about paint and this room." Kagome said to change the subject. Nodding Hana was ever grateful for her mothers support now more than ever.
