It was a beautiful morning in Charming, and David Hale and Candy Elgee were sitting out on his front porch having breakfast when David's next door neighbor came out and got the paper.

The older blond was wearing a silk robe and slippers, and had a cup of coffee in her hand. Though ever since David moved into his house he had seem the same sad look on her face every single day.

He knew all about what happened from his boss Wayne. Her daughter was stolen out of her shopping cart on New Years Eve thirteen years ago when she was only five. How she had coped over the years David had no idea. He knew that she kept mostly to herself, and just focused on her studio Caracara. She went to her friend Gemma Teller-Morrow's for dinners and stuff, but that was it.

Candy sighed as she went back inside. "David I don't know how i would cope if I ever had a child, and she was taken from me. How your neighbor still functions its beyond me. Also it was shitty was Stahl tried to do with her by first getting her for some trumped up charges, and then nearly shutting her down. As much as you dislike the Sons, I'm glad that they stepped in and became business partners, and gave her a space." she said.

"I'm beginning to see now that things aren't always just black and white. There are shades of grey in some circumstances. You and Wayne are helping me see that. Also I put in a recommendation, and if all goes right another neighbor will be coming home." said David.

"David that is so sweet of you." said Candy.

"I'm trying to see things from all angles, and well you are making me a better person. I'm falling in love with you Candy." said David.

"David I'm already there. More so now after this news you dropped on me." said Candy.

Happy and Connie drove all night. Both wanted to get home for different reasons. One Happy wanted to stick to Redwood, and patch over because that near miss when the guy killed the cop instead got him thinking. Also it was that beautiful woman driving his truck. Charming was her home, and he wanted to be with her.

With Connie as soon as she saw the Welcome to Charming sign she remembered exactly how to get home from there. Suddenly it was like it was a sign when her parent's song Drift Away by Dobie Gray began playing on the radio. Cranking up the radio, rolling down the windows she sped up.

Happy hung back. He knew that she was going home, and that she would need a minute with her mom. He needed to get to the clubhouse. Going there separate ways Happy was content knowing that she was in his cage, and that she would eventually come back to him.

Connie went one way, and Happy went the other. Recognizing the familiar neighborhoods she turned onto the old familiar street.

David and Candy stopped their makeout session when a new model Chevy came speeding down the street. Pulling up into the driveway next door to Deputy Chief Hale's a young woman got out of the truck and ran up the front steps before banging on the door.

"Mom, Mom it's me! It's Connie." the young woman called. Seconds later the door opened and Luanne Delaney came out in shock.

"Constance?" she said.

"Yes mom it's me, and that call you got yesterday by me and Happy wasn't a crank call. I'm home mom." she said crying a bit.

Luanne just embraced her daughter, and the both of them just hung onto one another and just sobbed.

"Ahem!"

"David don't ruin the moment." said Candy wiping a few tears from her eyes. She was just happy that the mother and daughter were reunited, and she had pieced together that she was driving that truck without a driver's license, but come on that was a minor offense.

"David." said Luanne.

"Just come to the station later for the paperwork." said David.

"We'll be there. Come on lets go inside. Oh you forgot to turn off the engine after you parked." said Luanne.

"I was just excited to see you and be home. I forgot." said Connie.

"Well even though we live next to the Deputy Chief, and the Sons keep the town safe, there are still lowlifes and thieves out there, and a running car is a temptation for them." said Luanne as she got into the truck and shut it off, and grabbed the keys. "So Happy gave you his truck?" she asked.

"I was walking along the road and he showed up. Then he told me exactly who he was, and then he called you, and well I trusted him. I escaped my psycho captor and Happy helped me." said Connie.

"He wants you to be his Ol Lady, and build a life with you. I told him to convince your father. What are your thoughts?" Luanne asked.

"I'm a bit fucked mom. Sorry for the language, but I know how to be street smart, but not a relationship. I'm eighteen, but I feel like I'm forty on things, and five years old on others. I'm a virgin, but I know how to survive a cartel." said Connie.

"Baby girl you are home now, and well just take things slow that you don't know how to do. Don't rush. Also you can trust Happy even now. He's a good guy, and he'll be patient with you while you are working shit out. So do you want to be my assistant at my studio?" Luanne asked. "Though he'll have to get through your father before anything but a friendship between you two happens." she added.

"Okay so what's next?" asked Connie. She was feeling like she was five years old again wanting her mom to be in control again.

"Okay first we'll go to the police station to do all the paperwork, and what not. Then we'll get your license, and finally we'll go to Stockton to see your father, and go to the mall to get you some clothes." said Luanne.

"Mom I'm all over the place. The past thirteen years just are still affecting me." said Constance.

"Okay I can get you in to therapy and I know just the person. Rebecca Lynch Quinn-Rollins. She is the daughter of Rane Quinn, and Courtney O'Shay. Also another fun fact Courtney's brother is a king. Galen O'Shay. Also Becky's husband can help you with self defense and all of that along with his Uncle Lumpy at Lumpy's Gym. Seth started up a Crossfit program at the gym in addition to boxing." said Luanne.

"Okay lets take this one step at a time. Lets get breakfast, and go to the police station to take care of the paperwork. Also do you trust Candy and David? If so maybe one of them can give me my driver's test. I'll take the truck since I rolled up in it, and well Happy said that I could use it." said Constance. Her eighteen year old self coming out.

"I do trust both of them. Okay police station, license, and then lets go see your father in Stoction, and a shopping trip. Though I want to squeeze in an appointment with Quinn's daughter." said Luanne.

"Okay mom." said Constance as Luanne went upstairs to shower and get dressed. When she came downstairs she took the keys to the truck.

"Once you get your license you can have these back, but until then I'm driving." said Luanne.

"Okay mom. I understand. I love you." said the young woman hugging her mom.

"I love you too. Lets roll sweetheart." said Luanne.
