Title: Kushina's new lease on life.

Rating: M

Pairing: Naruto X Hinata/Kushina(Karin)/Tenten/Anko/Ayame/Tayuya/Kin/Mito

Summary: Kushina died during the Sealing of Kurama. She figured that she would be in the pure lands and wait for her son as she knew that Minato would never be allowed in the pure-lands for using the Reapr Death Seal. Only Kushina didn't go to the Pure Lands. She was stuck in the land of Mortals tethered to Naruto, never allowed to be more then five miles from him, protecting him.

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the reviews. Got a lot of stuff happening at the moment and it's taking up majority of my time. If anyone is curious I released my book on Amazon Kindle. Like the Cookies, Love the Rose. I'll link it in my Profile Later That should give you guys an idea of why I've been gone for so long and why it takes so long for me to update.

Review Response

Xerzo Lotcon: That is the MILLION DOLLAR question! When Ferduran brought this to me I was confused about until he told me that it's never been done before. So I look up a lot of Kushina Naruto stories and he was right. So the answer Why not give Kushina her own body and instead separate Karin and Kushina? Why not give all the girls their own bodies. Mostly because It's been done to death! There have been stories where Kushina was alive, where she was hidden in his soul and got a shadow blood clone body, or she was held by Root or Orochimaru in a coma. But never one where she was inside someone else's body. I know it sounds strange, but this is a different route to take that might just be a diamond in the rough. Also the Tsunade and Shizune thing. The lot we drew from was enough. Honoka was thrown around but i'm not sure.

LadyElwyan: thank you I hope I have such plans for the Fandom's fused two favorite red heads

Guest: It's like I said. It was never outright states what happened to Edding Tides. It said that it was destroyed during the war, but that's veage as hell and Destroyed could be sevreal different ways. The land no longer fit for life, the populaus desemated, and any number of things.

RWBY ladybug enabeler whiterose: glad you enjoyed it. I have a RWBY project in mind, but that's neither here nor there

Uday Sra: Here's your update

MarTinez9: That's a bit to easy my friend. Overtime more of a combination of the two, but she still looks like Karin at the moment

WindCitySlayer1: Thank you and more to come

CyDawg: Think Ferduran for the idea. I'm more or less a simple guy.

Jmg1988: Sorry to hear you go. Truth be told In series like Naruto or One Piece there's a lot we don't see or is made apprent. We got the Sunshine and rainbows version of stories and not the true dark that stories like this have. Goblin Slayer, Overlord and even Rising of the Shield Hero Keep it real to a lesser extent of what happens when the veil is lifted. Sorry to see you go, but Sunshine and Rainbows live here not.

Majastic Yo-kai Fauntleroy: Thank you I hope you enjoy the story

Shin: Don't worry I plan on fixing that plot hole. Also Tenten is easily one of the best girls

SonicHeroXD: Your opinion has Noted and thrown in the trash.

Gunzen: I hear what your saying, but something are just ingrained in you after a while. I do have plans for Kushina at this point, but that would be telling

Pixie Duck: Hinata was asked for by Ferduran so regardless what I or anyone else things I'm going to play around with it and see if their isn't anything I can't do to 'fix' it to where she's better.

Chapter 1: Karin we need to talk

Location: Konoha

Place: Forest of Death

Time: Early noon

Kushina looked at her- new-hand and flexed it, trying to get a feel for it. While the adrenaline rush from near death had helped her kill the bear, this girl... Karin- as the name came to mind- was not built or trained as a fighter. Everything in their now shared mind or was it Kushina's mind with shades of Karin in it.

Training to use the Uzumaki royal Bloodline of Adamantine Chains for sealing and defense. Training to use her Uzumaki Royal Bloodline of Adamantine Chains for attacking as a last resort focused on healing.

Gripping her head in pain Kushina, Karin... Kushina, Karin... Kushina, Karin. It was a mess!

"FUCK!" yelled Kushina punching a tree and making the bark explode as well as putting a five foot wide 2 foot deep hole in it's thick trunk.

A variation of Tsunade's Super strength technique. Clearly something only Kushina knew.

This was confusing.

"Your telling me sister," came a voice in her head, somewhere in back of her head.

"Great I'm hearing voices now," said Kushina to no one but herself.

"Uzumaki-san!" yelled a voice.

Kushina turned to the voice and saw to figures appear before her. It was her two teammates. A rather tall man who stood at 6'2 and was all muscle. He wore a vest that was open. His headband was worn to standard. If Kushina recalled correctly from Karin's memories his name was Tsukemono

"Where have you two been!? I was almost killed by that fucking bear!" yelled Kushina.

"Calm your tits Uzumaki. We came running when we felt the chakra spike," snorted the other genin.

Aside from his spiky green hair and the pancho he wore and the fact that he was barely shorter then Kushina/Karin he'd be rather forgettable. His name was Rerisshu

The trio were not friends. Like most hidden villages the teams were not based on who they liked or disliked, but rather the compatibility. Tsukemono was a physically strong fighter. He specialized in using enhancement Jutsu to get the upper hand on his enemies. Rerisshu was more a mid-range fighter that used knives and that often times had explosives and paralysis seals on them. Karin had been assigned to the squad as an on sight analyst for enemies, a as well as Medic. Although Kushina quickly realized that the way she healed people was strange and affected her more then anything. Like all Uzumaki she had been born with the Longevity and Chakra chains-however only 1 in 10 Uzumaki unlocked the Adamate Chains.

Kushina-and Karin- narrowed their eyes. "Don't test me you son of a bitch!" growled Kushina.

"Enough!" growled Tsukemono. "That spike was felt by every team for at least a mile. We need to move from this spot and fast

Kushina as well as Rerisshu shut up. Rerisshu in fear and Kushina in a calculated manner. She knew that currently that Karin's body was nowhere near as strong as Kushina's old body was at 16. Although Kushina was raised in a time of war and had a high body count. She had trained her body to kill, not to heal. At least that's the conditioning that Karin believed. She was little more then a slave who's only job was to take the damage away from others.

Then again with Kushina's knowledge of Sealing and ninjutsu. Of crouse shew wasn't able to use her kenjutsu at the moment. Unless.

"Stop thinking so much! Your hurting my- our- head grandma!" yelled the voice from before slightly more clear.

"WATCH YOUR MOUTH BRAT!" yelled Kushina back.

Kushina narrowed her eyes, quite familiar with this. She had an idea what was happening, but she would have to wait to sort it out.

"Then we need to move out of here now," said Kushina before turning to Rerisshu. Do you still have our Heaven Scroll?"

Rerisshu snorted. "I ain't no fool Uzumaki. I have the thing," said the small man pulling the scroll from his pouch.

"Good. Lucky for us our Oto allies handed me a scroll," said Tsukemono pulling out an earth scroll.

Kushina raised an eyebrow. "So should we head to the Tower then or do you have something planned?" asked Kushina.

Tsukemono shuck his head. "If we move now we should reach the tower within 2 hours," said The leader.

The trio took off with Kushina cursing herself. This was the first time that she would be away from Naruto. After watching him for 16 years. It was going to be strange.

Location: Konoha

Place: Forest of Death- Central Tower

Time: Early evening.

The sun was just setting on the fourth day As the team from The Village hidden in the grass entered the tower they all quickly made their way to the room they were assigned. Tsukemono jumped on a bed and laying down and falling asleep. Rerisshu didn't stick around and decided to explore the tower. Once she was sure that she was alone Kushina walked to the center of the room and got into a meditative stance.

Mito had taught her this before she took over as Kurama's Jailer. She rarely went to see Kurama since he was a bit of an asshole and Kushina didn't have time for it. But right now she needed to talk to the girl who she was sharing a body with.

Location: Kushina/Karin Mindset.

Kushina opened her eyes and looked around the golden-white endless space that was her mindset. Her astral form had returned to her original look instead of the Karin's looks.

"Took you long enough to get here. I was starting to think that you were going to ignore me you hag," said a voice.

Kushina frowned as she turned and looked at the girl who was as naked as the day she was born. Then again you honestly didn't need clothes within the mind scape. It was just that most people who could enter their mindscape such as the Yamanaka and those who could use meditation were more prone to making their astral forms with clothes.

"I recommend not sassing me young lady. I'm old enough to be your mother," said Kushina.

"Yeah. A mother with a son complex," said Karin

Kushina narrowed her eyes. "What are you getting at?" asked Kushina.

Karin raised a hand and touched her temple. "Our minds. We swapped Memories when you took over my body," said Karin.

"Can you speak plain?" asked Kushina.

Karin sighed. "Fine. You seem a bit slow with anything outside of defense and support sealing as well as swordsmanship so i'll make it simple. Something fused your soul into my body when I was on death's door. You managed to hack my body for a few moments and convert my Uzumaki Bloodline Chakra into a format that was usable by you. Considering how the Uzumaki Chakra works and the fact that I'm a support type while your a defensive type it's honestly remarkable that you could do what you did.

Kushina frowned. While she wasn't the brightest person, she was still a hardened veteran of the 3rd Shinobi war AKA the second Elemental Nations Grand Conflict. She had commanded the 4th Konoha Defense Platoon as a part of Tsunade's Support Corps. She was a certified A-Class borderline S-ranked Kunoichi. Considering that most Kunoichi now adays were barely B-ranked in terms of skills and power that was something.

"Listen you brat if it wasn't for me you'd be dead," said Kushina.

"Your right about that, but it's more then that. Your now the domonite personality in our body. I dare say that we are now two halfs of the same whole. We're part of the same brain. At this point i'm calling it Parallel Minds In essence we're stuck together," said Karin.

"What if I want to leave and get my own body. It may take some time, but with Old Man Orochi's cloning abilities and with a bit of seal work I can have my own body in no time," said Kushina.

Karin looked at her. "You didn't notice it. Or better to say it's not easily noticed," said Karin holding up her left hand.

As she did a glowing red and black chain appeared and wrapped around Kushina's own arm.

"What the hell?" asked Kushina as she gripped the chains-however

"I wouldn't do that," said Karin

Kushina yanked the chain ignoring Karin's warning. Intense white hot pain tore though not just her body, but every essence of her soul. Kushina had been burned, drowned, electrocuted, crushed, every other attack known to shinobi kind AND given birth, yet none of those even compared to what was happening to her now. Kushina convulsed on the ground as Karin watched in mild fascination. She herself had tried that. Tugging on the chain caused pain to the one who tried to remove it. Still the scientist in her was fascinated. Soul, spirit whatever you wanted to call research was practically taboo across the Elemental Nations. The only person she was aware of that studied it was Orochimaru, but only for the purpose of changing bodies. To see this unexplored area of science.

Well a girl could only get so wet.

The pain only lasted a few moment, but when she was able to regain her composure. Kushina rose to her feet gingerly.

"What was that?" asked Kushina panting in pain.

"My guess is a soul link that works with Parallel mind," said Karin.

"So what we're stuck together?" asked Kushina.

Karin nodded. "That's right hag, but I have a solution to our problem,"

"What is it?" asked Kushina.

"You be our body and I'll be our mind. In short I know that your a veteran kunoichi and know some pretty rare and good training methods, but my capacity to remember and reorganize our mind is leagues above yours, plus I have an Infinite Sensor range. I can do things in the background that would be impossible for most people," said Karin.

Kushina looked at Karin. "You have a point. Alright you win, but the moment that I feel like your holding me back I'll find a way to lock up so deep inside our our mind you won't even be able to see light," said Kushina.

Karin nodded and stuck of her hand out. Kushina looked at her hand for a second before taking it. A firm shake was all it took to seal their deal.

Location: Back in the Real world

Tsukemono awoke from his sleep and looked at the door. Standing there was their Sensei. A woman in her late 20's waist-length white hair that is covered by a green bandana that has a long curved white stripe which had belonged to Muku and gray eyes with multiple circular patterns a sleeveless kimono over a green top that only has a long green sleeve covering her left arm along. Both her arms were bandaged up to her elbows. She also wore black trousers with shinobi sandals.

"Ryuzetsu-sensei," said Tsukemono sitting up. "How long have you been here?"

"About 5 minutes. Your lucky Rerisshu was up or an enemy could," said Ryuzetsu.

Tsukemono snorted. "Whatever. Where's Uzumaki," said Tsukemono.

"She's been meditating. All night in fact," said Rerisshu.

"And I'm up now," said Kushina opening her eyes.

Ryuzetsu nodded. "Good. It's time to go to the 3rd round. I expect you all to do your best.
