It was summer vacation after the unexpected victory over Lord Voldemort at the Department of Secrets. Hogwarts students stayed in their family homes, while the Ministry of Magic, led by Kingsley Shackelbot, tried to rebuild the Wizarding World and make the necessary reforms. Everyone believes the war is over, but is it?
The young witch spent her free time in the Muggle world with her parents. At last, she had a chance to take a break from the problems surrounding her. She did not think about the war, the evil she had to overcome with her friends. For the first time in five years, she was able to concentrate on her future. She has just passed O. with the highest marks. She was currently spending time in her room reading a book when her mother called her.
M.H: Honey, dinner!
He: I'm going, mom!
A few minutes later, the whole family was having lunch.
M.H: Hermione, we talked to your dad so much that you have been going to a new school for over five years, and you have made wonderful friends. You spend almost every vacation with them, and we didn't get to meet them.
T.H: Now that the war in the wizarding world is over, why not invite them to the weekend?
He: I'm not sure if Mrs. Weasley will agree, but I will ask.
M.H: We will be very happy if they come. You're supposed to be in the Burrow all August, it's mid-July, and we really want to meet the people you spend all year with
He: Okay mom, thank you for dinner. I'll send an owl with an invitation to Ron, Harry and Ginny.
The teenager quickly got up from the table and ran to send invitations to her friends and a letter explaining the situation to Mrs. Weasley. She was very happy that her parents wanted to meet her companions, but she was afraid of her sibling's refusal.
Letters with answers came almost immediately, after only three hours. The siblings and Harry were to come to Hermione at the end of July for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley promised to personally bring them to Gryffindor's house, and on Sunday pick them up for a joint trip to the Burrow, and spend the rest of their vacation there.
The days until the arrival of the young wizards were mercilessly long. When the long-awaited day finally arrived, Hermione's mom cooked a delicious dinner, and the witch's dad borrowed a lot of movies. Around 4 p.m. Harry, Ron, Ginny and two redheaded twins appeared in the Granger living room using Floo powder. Hermione smiled involuntarily when she saw her friends. Fred noticed it and smiled back.
Ge: Hello guys, I'm George and this is my brother Fred.
F: Hello, we brought the kids. The parents apologize very much for not doing it in person, but they got a sudden summons to the Ministry of Magic.
G: You're a child yourself, you idiot!
F: Ginny, watch your words! Because you will come home with us!
G: (She started laughing) What else, I'm not gonna watch you get drunk!
Ge: Sorry for your sister, she's been nervous lately. You understand, her hormones are booming, she matures.
F: Parents will arrive on Sunday at 5pm.
Ge: As an apology, my mom made a strawberry cake. (He gave the cake to Hermione's mom)
M.H: (Laughs) Oh, that's very kind of your mother! Thank her. Maybe you will stay for dinner?
F: Thank you. So what bro ready for the party?
Ge: Ready!
At this point, they teleported back to the Burrow, where they threw a fairly heavily drunk party with their classmates. Fred and George did not avoid parties, jokes and most importantly girls. They played until dawn.
Meanwhile, at Hermione's house, the witch's dad was showing Ron and Ginny the equipment Muggles use. The siblings were very fascinated by them, which caused them to ask a lot of ridiculous questions. Harry watched them, unable to contain his laughter as he saw the surprise on his friends' faces and the embarrassment of the teenager's father. Hermione helped her mother wash the dishes.
M.H: You have very nice friends. I am glad that I could meet them.
He: Thank you, mother.
M.H: You're welcome. May I have a question for you?
He: Sure!
M.H: What do you have in common with one of the twins?
He: I don't know what you mean. (She says embarrassed)
M.H: I don't remember what his name was, I think Fred. You smiled at the sight of him, and he smiled at yours.
He: Fred is just a friend, brother to Ron and Ginny. He fought in Dumbledore's Army with me against You Know Who and nothing else. Anyway, he has every girl in school at his command, and I'm just a nerd.
M.H: You're not a nerd! You are a very ambitious young witch who has the courage to face the greatest evil that has ever happened in the history of the world.
He: Thank you, mom.
M.H: You're welcome, daughter, and as for Fred, think about whether he is just a friend? He seems like a nice and very handsome boy.
He: Now I have to focus on my studies, not the boys, mom. The war is over, it's time to take care of the future.
The weekend passed very quickly. Friends watched movies. It was a new experience for Ron and Ginny, and they also played Explosive Crackle. Hermione was showing them the Muggle world. Contrary to appearances, they had a great time. Sunday came extremely fast. Packed, they waited for the Weasley, who arrived at the appointed time.
