The first week of study at Hogwarts was drawing to a close. Hermione tried to avoid the twins as much as she could, however, one of them didn't sue her to forget about his existence. George was very anxious to apologize to the girl. They became friends while on vacation, and he didn't want to ruin it with one irresponsible prank. After three days of constant apologies, the girl succumbed to redhead, but she decided that she would not forgive the other brother, because he had hurt her much more, not just with a silly joke. She began to spend a lot of time with the younger twin again, mostly fooling around and sneaking into the kitchen together in the evenings. Brown-head girl liked to spend time talking with house elves. She constantly tried to convince them that they had certain rights, but only Dobby listened to her. Every time Hermione started her monologue about the freedom of the house elves, George couldn't help but laugh and the food he was getting from his little friends spilled out of his mouth. Their friendship flourished, which Fred didn't like.

Fred had been dim for the last few days, he also wanted to apologize to the Gryffindor girl, but he was afraid, moreover, he was still angry with her. He knew their friendship was never perfect ... Okay, she was practically non-existent. The girl always got along better with his clone. Deep down he wanted to fix it, and he wished he had been rude to her, but on the other hand, she didn't respect his and George's work. She wanted to take their inventions from them, and even worse, she thought about destroying them. He had the right to get angry with her. On the third hand, he had no right to point out to her that she was diligently performing the Prefect's duties, and especially he should not say that no one liked her. The Chosen One, Ron, Ginny and George adored the young witch, and not only did they. As more and more boys through saw her transformation, they turned to look after her in the hallway. The fact was, she didn't dress defiantly, but she cared more for herself. Every day she made a delicate make-up that emphasized her beauty, she arranged her unruly hair with more and more care. What can I say, even in the school uniform, she looked beautiful.

On the way back from the grounds, Fred noticed Hermione and his clone leave the kitchen. The boy was following them all the time, not very pleased. He wanted to approach them, but found it to be a bad idea. He did everything not to notice him, he even crept, which caused a wave of laughter among the paintings hanging on the walls of the castle. A pair of friends headed for the Gryffindor common room, where they split up. George approached Angelina, with whom he went for a walk, while the young witch sat on the couch in front of the fireplace. She took her books out of the bag, then began to write an essay, the size of the book the boy guessed that the topic of the work concerned very advanced potions. He stood for a while and looked at the dark-haired girl. He was engaged in an internal battle whether he should approach her, only after a minute he decided to sit next to her on a two-seater couch.

F: Hello Hermione.

He: ...

F: Can we talk?

He: ...

F: Please ... Don't ignore me. I want to have a few sentences with you.

He: I'm writing a paper for Snape, so maybe another time.

F: Take a maximum of five minutes for me

He: I don't have time for your stupid jokes! Go talk to someone more popular than me, he'll ruin your reputation even more

F: (Takes her pen) Oh yes, you do. You listened to George, so you can do me too. And this time it's not about jokes.

Hermione looked at him casually. The boy immediately drowned in her beautiful brown eyes. He hadn't seen them for so long. Had he missed them? Not! It is impossible!

He: Fred! Do you want to talk or stare at me ?! Because if you stare, then goodbye.

F: I was thinking, forgive me. I wanted to apologize to you ... I know I have offended you many times in recent times, almost non-stop altogether, but most of the time it was unconsciously.

He: Anything else?

F: I want to fix our friendship.

He: It's okay. We can still pretend we don't know each other, chat occasionally and argue all the time. For sure.

F: That's not what I mean. I'd like to make friends with you, so seriously. We have one pack of friends, why can't we be friends too?

He: It's probably not feasible in our case.

F: What's the harm to try?

He: I'll think it over.

F: Hermione ...

Hermione didn't let him finish the sentence. She had enough! She didn't want to be friends with him. The boy had shown too often how much he could hurt. Dark-head girl could not go through this again. Especially since she had some unimaginable weakness for the redhead, since he threw her into the water. I guess she liked him? Maybe she was a little attracted to him? She wasn't sure herself. She preferred to stay away from him. She gathered her things and walked over to Harry, who had just returned from Umbridge's detention. Fred looked at them sadly.

He: Hi Harry! How was Umbridge?

H: Hey! (He spoke in a sad and nervous voice at the same time) Same as always.

He: Meaning?

H: She bought a new pen! (Harry showed the girl his wrist that read: Bad is gone)

He: OMG! How can she ?! She said she had changed!

H: You're kidding! She is still the same witch, she just shows her acting talent in addition this year!

He: Mean pink girl! We have to do something about it!

Harry tried to say something, but he didn't have time as the delighted Angelina and George entered the common room. The captain of the Gryffindor team announced that Quidditch training will start tomorrow, and the first match will take place in a week, when they will play against Hufflepuff. She took the entire team to an empty class to discuss strategy.

The next morning, Hermione got up in a good mood. She made a plan to counter the pink candy. Singing a Muggle song to herself, she went to breakfast. She sat down between George and Ron, who were eating breakfast in Quidditch clothes, as they were practicing soon after. The brown-haired girl laughed with her younger brother at her twin's stupid jokes. After breakfast, she went to the library to do her homework. She sat there for almost three hours until Ernie Macmillan came over. The girl felt the boy had been avoiding her since the Weasley garden party. She finally wanted to clear up this matter.

He: Oh! Hi Ernie!

E: ...

He: How are you? I have not seen you for a long time.

E: ...

He: I don't understand what I did to you ?! I thought we had fun together at the party! Unfortunately, lately I have the feeling that you are angry with me! Why don't you talk to me?

E: Sorry, Hermione, but I don't want to get in the way of Fred. You could tell you were dating.

He: What are you talking about! I'm not dating Fred! We're not even friends!

E: At the party, as he threatened me, it was different.

He: What, please ?!

Ernie told the girl in detail what had happened at the party when she went to her room. Hermione was angry. That is an understatement, she was furious for the first time in her life! How dare he choose who, can he date ?! Who did he think he was ?! It wasn't his property! And it never will be!

He: Merlin! Ernie! I'm sorry to you! I didn't know Weasley threatened you. This should not be happening! I don't even like him, and he doesn't like me. I'll tell him what I think about him! I'll get everything out of him! He'll kill the dung!

E: Relax, Hermione. I thought you had something in common, but since you don't. Maybe you can be invited for a walk tomorrow? We'll talk calmly.

He: Sure you do. Now forgive me, I have to kill a certain Gryffindor boy.

Hermione left the library furiously. She practically ran to the common room where the entire team was sitting. They just finished a very grueling training session. Angelina made it a point of honor to win the cup this year. The young witch entered the room. She immediately lunged at Fred. Everyone looks at her with surprise. They had never seen her so angry.

He: Weasley! You pig! You lousy bastard!

Ge: About which Weasley are you talking about right now?

He: How dare you threaten, Ernie! I'm not your property!

Ge: It's about you, brother. (He hit the twin on the shoulder)

F: Hermione listen ...

He: I'm not your toy, to talk to who I can be! I don't belong to you! We're not even friends. And we never will! No matter what you do, I won't forgive you! You are a complete egoist who sees nothing but fun, alcohol and girls! You are dangerous! I don't want you to come near me!

F: Let's talk calmly ... Please. It's not what you think.

He: End of Weasley! I will never speak to you again! Never!

Hermione tried to leave the common room, but Fred stopped her. He grabbed her wrist and pulled the brown haired girl towards him. Their bodies practically touched, and a tense atmosphere hovered in the air.

F: Please ... Hear me out! HERMIONE IS NOT YES! DON'T BE LIKE A RIDDLE TEEN! LET'S TALK!

He: Out of the two of us, you act like irresponsible boy and ragged brat! And you are supposed to be an adult, but probably only on paper.

Hermione broke free from the boy, then quickly escaped to her dormitory. She lay down on the bed and began to cry. She hated him! How could he do that, and she wanted to be friends with him. Give him a chance, but now she was sure it wasn't worth it. To her, he was dead and finished. She never wanted to see him again.

Ge: You know Ginny ... I find we'll have to change our plan.

G: Come on, you. I didn't think of it!

Ginny ran to Hermione. She wanted to be with her friend and cheer her up. Furious, Fred left the common room. He went to The Room of Requirement, where he started drinking. He wondered why she was so unlucky. Why was he destroying everything ?! She almost forgave him. He started throwing smaller furniture and objects against the wall. He couldn't control himself. All the time, he was hoping that she would never find out about his talk with Ernie. It was too late now. George entered the room and tried to console his brother in vain. He bent over and very much. He got what he deserved.
