On Sunday morning there was a pleasant silence in the Gryffindor Tower, which was rare in this part of the castle. Most of the students liked to sleep longer on the weekend, especially since breakfast took longer on those days than usual. Only Hermione got up at the inhumanly early hour. She washed herself thoroughly and dressed in a light long-sleeved dress, tights and ballet shoes. She went down to the common room, where she prepared and sent out a Dumbledore's Army coin message to all members of Dumbledore's Army, including the date of the meeting. She couldn't wait to share her plan of action with her friends. Then she went to breakfast. She was in an excellent mood as she decided to stick to her end-of-summer plan, which was to pretend she didn't know Fred and show him that her life wasn't about him. In addition, she was planning to go for a walk with Ernie, who was a great boyfriend. She really liked him. She didn't know how yet, but it was only a matter of time. After a long moment, the twins joined her, but she ignored one of them, Ron, Ginny and Harry. The older twin watched the girl throughout breakfast, sadness in her eyes.
He: Hello guys! (She said with a smile on her face, everyone stared at her in shock at her sudden energy).
H: Hermione, what's the deal with DA?
He: I have an idea how to rub a pink cow's nose. I'm sick of her spreading around at school. Dumbledore has great patience with this woman, but I don't! (She announced angrily in her voice).
Ge: Can you reveal any details?
He: You will find out when you come to the meeting.
Ge: I'm starting to be afraid of you, the Sun!
He: You don't have to, Redhead! It will be fine! I understand that you will show up?
Ge: Sure, we'll come
He: Great! Ginny, can you help me put my heavy makeup on while you eat breakfast? Please...
G: (She choked on the juice). Heavy makeup? Why?
He: Relax, I'm just going for a walk with Ernie and I wanted to look good.
G: O MOTHER! It's great! You have a date! Why didn't you tell me ?!
He: First, it's not a date, it's just a regular get-together, and second, I forgot to tell you, excuse me!
G: God! Hermione, I'm glad! I'm about to finish, and we're going to the dormitory! I have new eye shadows! They will match your dress perfectly! (She
chattered excitedly, noticing from the corner of her eye that Fred was sitting with his head bowed).
H: Honey, we were supposed to go for a walk.
G: We'll go, Harry, but later. Now we have more important matters on our mind!
Ten minutes later, the laughing girls left the great hall. They went to their dormitory. The redheads together with Harry stared at their friends leaving with shock painted on their faces. They weren't expecting this to happen, and they certainly didn't think Hermione would be excited about meeting some boy. It was a new and inexplicable phenomenon for them.
H: And after my romantic walk with your sister. (He laughed sincerely, and his brothers looked angry at him)
Ge: You are glad that we let you go for walks with our little sister. (He said with a laugh)
R: Exactly! Don't get faster, Potter!
H: Oh! Let it be to you. I'd rather not have you as enemies. (He laughed again, and the brothers laughed with him, except for Fred)
R: Oh yeah, what happened here anyway? Since when is Hermione dating Ernie?
H: I have no idea, but they fit together. They are both intelligent, they like to learn, they are Prefects and Ernie is a really cool guy.
R: Yes, you are right! They would make a nice pair.
Ge: (He looked at the broken twin) Come on! You're gossiping like a woman now! They're just going for a walk! It's okay, they don't have to become a couple right away! It may end up being nothing but friendship!
H: Yeah, you believe in miracles!
At one point in their conversation, Fred walked out of the Great Hall sadly. He was devastated. He knew he had ruined everything. He had missed the chance to be friendly with Hermione because of his recklessness. He wandered around the grounds and thought about his relationship with the brown haired girl. He concluded that the girl was right from the beginning. Their contacts were never normal, as they had argued nonstop for the past five years. They were never really friends, they were in the same group of friends, but they did not like each other. Mainly because she and her twin were playing pranks on her a lot, and she was nervous. Of course, George always apologized to her after a while, but the older twin never did. He also saw that he had become possessive and impulsive in the past month. He knew it was happening because he liked the Gryffindor girl, deep down inside, and very much. Unfortunately, he could not or would not say it out loud. Unexpectedly, he met a Ravenclaw girl with whom he played in the Room of Requirement, but his twin interrupted his meeting. He decided to relax. He thought it would help him to forget about the beautiful brown haired girl, but was it even possible? He walked over to her and picked her up without any problems. In fact, hardly any girl in school would be able to resist the advances of a redhead. He enjoyed such popularity, but for some time He began to disturb him? Sam wasn't sure. They went to a more secluded place to have a good time together. Meanwhile, in the girls' dormitory.
G: (She was painting a friend). You will look beautiful!
He: I hope so! She still doesn't feel very comfortable wearing heavy makeup, but Ernie is cool, and I want to look good for once.
G: That's right, he's very nice ... Just ... (She broke off in mid-sentence. She seemed sad at first sight).
He: What's going on? Why are you sad?
G: I saw the expression on Fred's face. He was sad, he seems to regret what he did. I know that you approached this walk with such enthusiasm. You wanted to do him out of spite.
He: Ginny don't be offended, but it doesn't matter to me, it doesn't matter what Fred feels anymore! He hurt me too many times to forgive him, and you are wrong, I didn't want to make him jealous. I really enjoy meeting Macmillan. I look good?
G: You're right, I shouldn't interfere. You look pretty! Run or you'll be late!
He: Thank you for your help! See you at the DA meeting!
Laughing, Hermione ran out to the grounds, where Ernie smiling was waiting for her. In the distance, Fred spotted them, who was on his way home from a meeting with the lovely Ravenclaw girl. He smiled to himself at the sight of the girl, because she was so beautiful and unattainable to him at the same time. He decided to follow the couple. He didn't know what was driving him, he just had to do it! I guess he wanted to make sure Macmillan really cared about the dark-head girl. He hid behind a tree to overhear the couple's conversation. It turned out that they had a lot in common. They had a nice time together. They even lost track of time. The redhead was watching them, but deep down he wanted to be in Ernie's place. After a while, the boy grabbed his companion's hand, which caused a strange twinge in the redhead's heart. Suddenly he lost interest in following the couple, so he returned to the castle sadly.
E: You look beautiful!
He: Thank you, I tried.
E: And you made it, really!
He: I just wanted to apologize to you again for the situation with Fred. I really didn't know he was capable of such things.
E: Stop it, Hermione! It's not your fault, you have nothing to apologize to me for. You just have to be careful with him, he is unpredictable.
He: He's not bad, he just doesn't control himself. Anyway, I'll never speak to him again!
E: I don't know him as well as you do, so I'll trust you. (The boy hugged Hermione, who hugged her back.) It's time for us. The DA meeting is about to come.
He: So let's go to them. (She smiled sincerely at the boy).
All members of Dumbledore's Army had gathered in the Room of Requirement. The room looked like it was waiting for them. Everything they left in the room remained untouched, including: exercise equipment, photos, member's list, cushions they sat on and talked on or cast spells on. Now, they sat down on them as well and waited for Hermione to start talking. They didn't know what she had called them for, yet they were very excited. Everyone missed the Dumbledore Army meetings, especially now that the pink cow is back in school.
He: I'm glad you are!
H: Can you tell us what we're doing here?
He: Umbridge only teaches us theory again. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has been defeated, but many Death Eaters have escaped. They are still among us. We don't know what's on their mind. Maybe they will attack someday, maybe not! It won't matter if we don't know how to defend ourselves. We cannot learn this from theory.
Ge: Harry is supposed to teach us to fight again?
He: Not necessarily, we'll be learning each other this year. Once a week or twice a week, it depends on the need. We will start meeting here and practicing spells, repeating the material together, but it will be practical. We will tutor each other with a little help from Harry if he agrees of course. What do you say? Do you want to sneak out of this pink viper again ?!
F: I'm in!
Ge: Me too!
A: But it will be great! Only when it would take place so that it would not interfere with training.
He: Relax, it won't interfere. I was thinking about Thursday at 6 p.m., what do you say?
Everyone agreed with Hermione with great enthusiasm. Neville and Luna enjoyed the return of classes the most, as they had improved their magic skills the most last year. Out of nowhere, Colin Creevey pulled out a camera. Everyone lined up for the commemorative photo. They were together again, working against Umbridge. After the meeting, Ernie approached Hermione.
E: I wanted to thank you for today, it was great.
He: I had a lot of fun too. (She smiled at him).
E: Next week is going to Hogsmeade, maybe we would go together?
He: Are you just asking me out on a date? (She asked hesitantly. She was embarrassed).
E: Yes, and I hope you won't refuse.
He: I'd love to go to Hogsmeade with you.
E: I'm just saying that today's walk considers our first date.
The boy kissed Hermione on the cheek, then left the Room of Requirement. The young witch was happy. She was going on a real date with a super boyfriend who would definitely not hurt her. It's time to forget the surly Fred Weasley!
