N: Neville Longbottom
A month has passed since the last events. October turned out to be a much colder month than in previous years. It rained almost every day, disrupting the Quidditch home teams training, and only one team trained regularly, the Gryffindors. Angelina ordered training twice a week plus one more under the supervision of Mrs. Hooch, regardless of the weather. She was very stubborn, she wanted to win the cup, and the match won gave her motivation to act.
There was also a lot going on in the lion's house itself! As always the Weasleys and Harry Potter were the main themes of rumors, and this month Hermione Granger joined the infamous ranks, never standing out from the crowd before. Probably no one would know about her, if not for the fact that she was friends with the most popular people at school, but let's start from the beginning. It began with a sincere confession of George's feelings for Angelina. Their relationship flourished, they complemented each other perfectly. However, most people couldn't believe that one of the twins had settled down. The biggest problem had all the girls at Hogwarts, when it turned out that one of the amazing brothers had found a girlfriend, so he dropped out of circulation. All the girls were jealous. They teased Angelina. They tried to discourage her from becoming a redhead. Fortunately, Johnson was tough and resisted the insolent attacks of her rivals.
Another brother, that is Ron, after the decisive intervention of the girls, went from Lavender to Hogsmeade. During the date, the redhead had his first kiss. From that day on, Brown and he were inseparable. They literally do everything together, except that they only go to the toilet separately. The second of the twins went back to picking up every girl he met. He did everything to forget about the beautiful brown haired girl, but of course no one knew about it. He was considered a seducer and heartbreaker again. Every time he kissed a girl, he imagined it was Hermione. He tried to deny it, to fight it, not to admit it to himself, unfortunately to no avail. The beautiful dark-haired girl completely took over his thoughts. Currently, according to the latest rumors, he tried to pick up Katie Ball, but she successfully rejected the redhead's advances.
The Weasley & Weasley brand brought the twins enormous profits and increased their popularity, not only in the lion's house, but the idyll ended there. Previously, inseparable twins. Nowadays, they hardly talked to each other, only about business. Officially, the reason for the brothers' disagreement was Angelina. Unfortunately, only they really knew what happened right after the end of the event in honor of the winning match. They did not admit to anyone that they had argued and had a sharp exchange of views between them. George did not regret what he said, and Fred could not forgive his brother for what he said. These were not offensive words, but true. They mirrored exactly what Weasley felt at the time. He couldn't forgive his clone of honesty. Lee Jordan became his new party and pick-up companion, but he didn't enjoy it as much as with he enjoyed his twin.
Harry and Ginny's relationship flourished. They fit together perfectly. They complemented each other with character and behavior. That's why everyone talked about the Chosen One being happy after all, but how long?
What happened to Hermione? Why did her person begin to arouse interest? It started when you could meet more and more often with a certain Hufflepuff boy. As always, she spent most of her time in the library, with Ernie. They liked to study together. It helped distract her from thinking about the mean redhead. She wasn't dating Macmillan. They went on a few dates, but the girl felt nothing for him but brotherly love. She decided not to give him unnecessary hope, so she said everything she felt. Macmillan understood this, or at least tried to understand, but it did not prevent them from becoming friends. They became very good friends. They spent a lot of time together, mostly learning together. This has led to various speculations in their houses about their relationship. It is worth adding that Ernie has already fallen in love with Gryfonka. All the time, he hoped she would see more than the dude she could spend time with in the library with.
Dumbledore's Army meetings were held regularly, attended by many students. One of these meetings was just taking place, Harry was overseeing everything as always. During today's classes, they trained in pairs. One person cast a black magic spell of his choice, excluding Unforgivable Curses, and the other tried to reflect the spell with a Protego. They had a break for a while, because they had been training for over two hours. Neville was standing in the center of the room, trying to hit the statue with the Sectumsempra spell. Contrary to appearances, he perfectly reflected black magic spells, but he had a problem with casting evil spells, because he was too good a person. After a few tries, he finally succeeded. A very strong spell came out of his wand, which caused the boy to be thrown back, and he fell to the floor. The spell unexpectedly changed its flight path, instead of hitting the exercise dummy, it bounced off the lamp on the wall and flew towards an unaware Hermione engaged in conversation with Luna. She was unable to defend herself because the whole situation was happening behind her back. The girl didn't even know what was happening. Fred noticed it, as he was secretly looking at the dark-haired girl. At the last moment, he grabbed her by the waist and reflected a deadly spell that hit the pillow, destroying it completely. The redhead fell to the ground and the girl landed on his torso. For the first time in a long time, they looked deeply into each other's eyes.
He: FRED!
Fred didn't have time to say anything because he was lost in her wonderful eyes. He couldn't remember the last time he saw them. He missed her, he realized it only now. He realized how much he had hurt her. The young witch was shocked. She didn't know what was happening. She didn't manage to thank the redhead. Everyone ran up to them. Neville was very concerned that he might hurt his friend. He helped her up.
N: Merlin! Hermione! I didn't mean to, really! It was by chance, the spell got out of hand!
He: Relax, nothing happened!
The older twin left the Room of Requirement almost unnoticed. He didn't want anyone to notice that he was crying. At last, he realized his mistake. Really! He realized that he was hurting everyone, especially Hermione. Why did he realize this? The moment he noticed that a deadly spell was flying in the direction of dark-haired girl, he understood that he would not be able to live without arguing with her, her smile, jokes, just without her! No other girl will ever live up to his expectations. Only Granger was honest, courageous, smart, beautiful, loyal and clever at the same time. He admitted to himself that he had fallen in love with Hermione Granger, and most importantly, he was ready to announce it to the whole world. He had known about feelings for a beautiful dark-head girl for a long time, but he tried to fight them. Now he realized that it was impossible to do, because he would never cease to care about her. He had to save her, he just had to. He was acting instinctively, his thoughts clashed, and he was already acting. Only Lavender noticed his exit.
N: I didn't mean to hurt you, please forgive me Hermione!
He: I know! (She hugged the boy.) I'm not mad at you!
G: Are you okay? Do you need to go to the Hospital Wing?
He: No, it's okay. Fred saved my life, I think I should thank him.
Ge: (Noticed the disappearance of his clone). Where is he actually?
La: He just left.
H: Let's stop for today! I'll see you in a week.
Everyone started to go to their dormitories. Hermione didn't want to be indebted to the red-haired wizard, so she decided to find him right away and thank him. She didn't understand why he did it. She was shocked! She didn't expect such heroism from Fred. She searched practically the entire castle. Unfortunately, her search didn't bring the desired results, so she decided to return to the Common Room. Meanwhile, Fred lay on his bed in his dormitory and thought about the beautiful girl. George unexpectedly entered the room.
Ge: Here you are, bastard!
F: Sorry man!
Ge: Are you sick? (He looked at him in surprise).
F: You were right! I'm a complete asshole who can only hurt.
Ge: Wow! Fred, what happened?
F: The moment the deadly spell flew towards Hermione, I realized how much I care about her! God, how I hurt her all these years with stupid pranks and recently with my thoughtlessness! I couldn't let anything happen to her.
Ge: Say aloud what you feel about her, and stop clowning!
F: I fell in love with Hermione Granger! I'm crazy about her and will do anything to make her my girlfriend! Do you like this answer ?!
Ge: Yes! At last! I thought I wouldn't see the day you admit it! I'm a proud brother! Now run! (The younger twin was jumping for joy all the time).
F: Where?
Ge: She's looking for you all over school! Sit in the Common Room and wait for her like nothing! You finally have a chance to talk to her!
F: Yes?
Ge: You're going, man, just don't let me down! If you screw up again personally, I'm gonna hit that freckled face!
F: Don't worry! I will not fail!
Fred went to the Common Room. He sat down in the chair and began an inconspicuous conversation with Lee, who tried to ask him about what had happened, but the redhead answered Yes or No. He didn't focus at all on the conversation with his friend. He was looking at the picture all the time. He waited for her to come back. After a long moment, Hermione entered the room, immediately went to Fred and Lee. The girl was angry with herself for not checking the Gryffindor living room right away, but running around the castle. Weasley nodded to Jordan that he should leave. The boy understood the allusions and started to head to his dormitory, but he ran into hidden George along with Ginny, who wanted to overhear their friends' conversation. He decided to join them.
He: Hi Fred.
F: Hello Hermione.
He: Look, I don't like being in debt, especially gratitude, so thank you for saving my life.
F: You don't have to thank me. I would do it again if I had to.
He: Hope you don't have to do this again. Thank you again. (Hermione tried to walk away, but Fred grabbed her wrist).
F: Please wait! Can we finally talk?
He: We have nothing to talk about!
F: You know very well that we have. Please don't push me away. I would like to fix what I broke and most importantly regain your friendship.
He: I doubt it would be feasible. You hurt me too much! How could you threaten Ernie?
F: I was drunk, and then I do everything instinctively.
He: And you are painfully honest. You say what you think at the moment.
F: Yes, but... I didn't mean that you are my property. I don't know what I was thinking then, because I don't remember much about that evening.
He: Cool ... I don't remember, that's the best explanation! I unfortunately remember when you threatened my friend, and then you attacked me!
F: I would give anything to turn back time, unfortunately I don't have such a possibility. What can I do to make you try to forgive me ?!
He: I'll think! I have to go! Ginny and I are going to discuss hairstyles for the wedding.
F: Will you be at Bill's wedding?
He: Yes, of course.
F: I hope we will dance together, in the end thank you, it's not enough. You owe me a favor. (He smiled flirtatiously at her).
He: Don't imagine too much!
The girl walked away towards her dormitory. The siblings and Lee quickly got up and ran to their rooms, as the whole conversation was overheard from the landing. Hermione noticed two red-hair and one dark-hair that were trying to get away quickly. She started to laugh under her breath, then entered her room.
G: What did you thank him for?
He: I've seen you! You are weak spies. (She started laughing even louder than before).
G: I told George it was better to go behind the curtain. What will you forgive him?
He: I don't know! It's terribly difficult. How can I be sure he won't do something stupid again? How can I be sure he really cares?
G: Let's check him out!
He: How?
Ginny looked at the S.P.E.W. badges in the carton under Hermione's bed.
G: Are you still fighting for the freedom of the elf?
He: Yes, but because of too many studies, I don't have when, but why are you asking?
G: I have an idea!
He: Fred won't fight for house-elfs' freedom! There is no force that compels him to do so!
G: Do you want to bet that's the way it is?
Ginny, to make sure that no one hears her, told Hermione her plan in the ear, the girl immediately smiled flirtatiously at the redhead.
