My first sequel chapter!
On a Saturday morning Lori had decided to go to her boyfriend Bobby Santiago's house bringing along her brother Lincoln; Maria was there to greet them after Bobby let them in after embracing Lori. "Lincoln... My goodness! What happened to your eye?" Maria asked Lincoln in concern seeing a healing black eye and went to check on it.
"Lynn Jr made Lincoln go and play softball with him yesterday afternoon and he ended up getting hit in the eye." Lori explained with a sigh as this caught the attention of Bobby's sister Ronnie-Anne in the living room.
"I thought you hated sports Lincoln." Ronnie Anne questioned remembering when Lincoln had once came over and Bobby invited him to watch the baseball game with him; Lincoln ended up being so bored that you would think that he was watching freshly coated paint dry. This question caused the two Lyman siblings to each give a humorless laugh at once.
"I do Ronnie Anne but I am still trying to explain that to Lynn who doesn't seem to want to entertain the idea of finally getting a brother but he doesn't like sports." Lincoln said thinking about how Lynn Sr wasn't doing any better either at understanding. "You know the expression in one ear and out the other?" Lincoln asked and the Santiagos nodded.
"In the case of Lynn; it's that it avoided the ears altogether and just circled around the head!" Lori finished as in the moment of silence that followed Lori and Lincoln shared a look. "Do you hear this Lincoln?" Lori asked referring to the silence.
"No... It's beautiful..." Lincoln said with tears in his eyes as Lori lifted him up in the air with a hug with the Santiagos just watching stunned.
"That silence was nice while it lasted..." Lori muttered to herself that afternoon as of course Rita and Lynn Sr had gone out leaving Lori in charge of the house for the first time ever since the families merged together. She was now in the middle of confisicating some pranks from Luan and some indoors gear from Lynn with both of the sisters being very protesting. On top of that she had Leni happily following her back.
"I am so happy to have you here Lori! It gets a bit stressful when I have to be in charge of the house but now I have you to help me? Was it ever stressful for you being in charge?" Leni asked as Lori annoyed turned to her.
"Not really; I only had Lincoln and he would just read his comics or play his games if he was in the house and I would leave him to that!" Lori replied and Leni responded by saying it sounds peaceful; oblivious to the nostalgia that Lori was getting to those times.
"Come on Lori! Leni always lets us do our stuff inside!" ranted Lynn but Lori glared at them.
"Well she isn't in charge now; I am! Frankly, I am surprised that there is still a house here!" Lori snapped at them and then heard a commotion in the living room.
There was Luna with her band equipment arguing with Lincoln; Lori came over asking what was going on. "I wanted to give our bro a taste of my songs since it's been so long since I had a fresh audience! Only five minutes later I find out the dude had these in his ears!" Luna explained to Lori holding out two cotton buds. "Can you please tell our brother to be more considerate since I have seen his SMOOCH CDs and posters so my tunes should be up his ally! I mean I am really trying not to be helpful if he didn't scream at me saying that my music was too loud!" Luna said as Lori took the cotton buds.
"I am pretty sure your music was the noise we had been hearing at times when we lived at our old house... Which was a few neighbourhoods away! Also what did I say about looking through my stuff?" Lincoln retorted as Lori shook her head at him while shaking her head.
"Now Lincoln; I just want to say that you won't be using these anymore." Lori said putting them in her bag.
"What? Come on Lori; has this house finally made you lost your mind!" Lincoln retorted as Lori began looking into her bag.
"Now Lincoln; Lori knows what's best! Besides this will help us bond..." Luna smiled putting a hand on his shoulder as Lori then took out a pair of Noise-B-Gone 2000.
"You won't be needing those silly cotton buds as I bought these for you yesterday at the mall as well as getting a pair for myself!" Lori told Lincoln handing them over as Lincoln excitedly thanked her with Luna having her mouth wide open. "As for you; unless you want your equiptment to be unplugged and confisicated then keep it at a volume that doesn't risk shattering or moving the windows or ground!" Lori told Luna who was taken aback.
"Lori; that's bogus!" Luna complained but Lori's face and posture with her arms folded made it quite clear that it was not up for discussion.
"Now Luna; Lori knows what's best!" Lincoln told Luna as he was making his way to the stairs to go up to his room; taking great glee in throwing Luna's words back at her. Luna glared at Lincoln as she relucantly set her volume down to a level that was nowhere near rocking enough.
