Chapter 4: Naruto and Koda vs Kaminari and Jiro
"Now, it's time for combat training!" All Might said to get the class's attention.
"Sensei," Iida who was currently wearing a full suit of armor said, "This is a battle center for the entrance exams, so will we be conducting urban battles again?"
"No, we will be moving two steps ahead!" the pro hero said "While it is true that most of the time fighting villains takes place outside if you look at the total numbers, you'll see those truly atrocious villains appear indoors more often," he said, smile not faltering for a second "imprisonment, house arrest, backroom deals, in a society like this one that is filled whit heroes, a truly smart villain hidden in the shadows" the man said before coughing "For today's class, you'll be split into villains and heroes and have two on two indoor battles"
"Without basic training?" Tsu asked the teacher.
All Might just closed his fist "this is a real battle to understand those basics!" he explained, "however there is a key difference in that your opponent won't just be a robot that you can beat up."
As soon, as he was done the class exploded whit questions, forcing All Might to pull out the small script he'd brought whit him to answer them all one at a time.
"Now listen to me," the man said while reading "the situation is that the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon somewhere in their hideout. The heroes are trying to dispose of it, to win, the heroes need to catch the villains or get the nuclear weapon back in the allotted time, for the villains to win they need to protect the nuclear weapon for the entire time or catch the heroes" he finished saying while grabbing a box of lots "teams will be determined by drawing lots!"
"They're being decided so half haphazardly?" Iida asked.
"Well, pros oftentimes need to team up whit heroes from other agencies, so that's probably why" Midoriya explained before All Might could.
"I see, so it's even taking that into account…please excuse my rudeness!" Iida said while bowing deeply towards All Might.
"It's fine, let's just do this quickly!" the man said while giving everyone a chance to draw lots.
"Team F huh," Naruto said while looking at his slip of paper, looking around for someone who hadn't found their partner yet, "hey, did you get F too?" he asked a young man whit a blocky rock-like head, after seeing him nod the blond just gave him a friendly smile "Hey, I'm Uzumaki Naruto, Naruto's fine tough, I'm not big on formalities, what about you?"
"I-I'm Koda Koji," he said in a low voice that Naruto was just barely able to hear when not using his quirk "it's nice to meet you too Naruto-san" he said shyly.
"Yeah!" Naruto said extending a fist for his teammate to bump, something the blond was happy about when he did "let's do our best Koda!" this guy was nice, reminded him a lot of Hinata, who knows, maybe they'd get along if they ever met.
"The first teams to fight will be…" All Might said getting the attention of all the students "these guys!" the teacher finished while taking out a black ball whit the letter D, and a white ball whit the letter A much to the disappointment and relief of some students, "team A will be the heroes, and team D will be the villains, everyone else please start heading to the monitor room"
"Yes sir!" the rest of the class said while walking away.

Monitor room; during the fight between A & D
"A surprise attack from the get-go?" the girl whit extended earlobes said in shock.
"Bakugo that's not fair!" the read head whit sharp teeth said while punching his palm in frustration, "a surprise attack isn't manly at all!"
"A surprise attack is a strategy too" All Might corrected the boy "they're in the middle of a real battle right now"
"Yeah, plus, Bakugo is supposed to be a villain right now" Naruto chimed in, "I don't think many villains really care about manliness 'ttebayo"
The screen then showed Midoriya performing a judo flip on Bakugo.
"Oh, nice, should have followed up when he hit the ground tough 'ttebayo" Naruto commented, "though I guess not everyone can risk taking an explosion to the face" he said as if it was the most normal thing in the world, receiving quite a few weird looks because of the comment.
"What's Bakugo saying anyways, you can't tell whit the cameras being in a fixed position and there being no sound" Kirishima asked.
"He's talking to his partner over the small wireless radio," All Might said, "you will all receive one as well as the floor building plans, and this capture tape!" the man finished by raising a roll of tape "once your opponent is wrapped in this then it shows you've captured them"
"The time limit is 15 minutes, and the heroes don't know where the nuclear weapon is located right?" Naruto asked, getting an affirmative nod from All Might.
"The heroes are clearly at a disadvantage here!" a pink-skinned girl whit small horns said.
"Heroes should be able to turn the tables on whatever predicament they're in" All Might explained, "besides, didn't Aizawa-sensei tell you too? You know-" the students who had all been listening caught on to where the broad man was going whit this "here we go!" he said before posing.
"Plus Ultra!/The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell dattebayo!" everyone yelled out at once, everyone turning to look at Naruto like he'd grown a second head, only to see him grinning widely at the reactions he got from them.
An explosion drew the attention of the class again to where they could see Midoriya dodging Bakugos second explosion after his failed attempt to capture the blond.
"That guy's amazing," The kid whit tape dispensing elbows said, "he's not even using his quirk while fighting against the guy who scored second on the practical exam!"
Naruto nodded "the question is how long is that going to last for 'ttebayo," seeing that he'd gotten the attention of some people whit that comment he continued to explain "well Bakugos explosions give him an advantage in pretty much everything while in close quarters combat from range to mobility and speed, hell even power considering that Midoriya needs to injure himself to use his quirk, the goal is to retrieve the weapon remember, if he gets hurt right now then he'll be a liability when facing off against Iida 'ttebayo"
A few seconds later Midoriya began to run away from Bakugo for a few minutes while Uraraka searched for the weapon, the problem being that she totally blew her cover by laughing for some reason.
"Huh, who knew Iida had a good sense of humor?" Naruto mainly said to himself, receiving a couple of chuckles as his naturally loud voice let some of the other students hear him.
"Bakugo-shounen, stop! Are you trying to kill him?!" All Might said, stopping all of the indistinct chatter and making the students look over at the monitor in which they saw Bakugo preparing to release the pin on one of his arm gauntlets, when he did the screen flashed orange as a massive explosion came out of the wrist-mounted device, blowing a hole in the building.
"Holly shit dattebayo!" Naruto screamed as the building they were in shook from the explosion
"This is supposed to be a class!" Kirishima said as everyone else was attempting to regain their balance.
"Midoriya-shounen, Midoriya-shounen!" All Might screamed into his communication device, visibly relaxing as the smoke cleared away to reveal the green-haired teen.
"Sensei, you need to stop them, Bakugo's going to kill him!" Kirishima said.
"No…" All Might said, "Bakugo-shonen, the next time you use that, I'll stop the fight, and your team will lose, to attack at such a large scale inside is inviting the destruction of the stronghold that you should be protecting, that's a foolish plan for both heroes and villains! You will already be losing a lot of points for it this time, nevermind the second one"
What followed afterward was an absolute beating, there was no other word to describe it, Midoriya was simply outclassed, that much was evident by Bakugo's maneuver of making an explosion to not only avoid Midoriyas attack but to also get in the teen's blind spot witch let him fire off another attack.
"What was that just now?" Kirishima asked.
"He doesn't look like the type to think, but he's a lot more subtle than I expected," a teen whose costume was having half of his body covered in ice said, he then continued after being asked what he meant "He changed his course in a blast that doubled as a smoke screen and then did it again immediately"
"Getting a clean hit while fighting against inertia requires fine lateral adjustments to the power of the explosions" Yaoyarozu added afterward.
"He's too talented…too talented..ugh" the guy whit yellow and black hair said in exasperation.
"No 'ttebayo" Naruto retorted "talent can only take you so far, these are the fruits of hard work"
Not a second later Bakugo smacked Midoriya before grabbing him and chucking him to the ground in an explosive imitation of the green-haired boy's judo throw.
"This is lynching!" the pink-skinned girl said, "he can just capture him for the exercise by putting tape around him!"
"Those are not the actions of a hero" a guy whit a head that looked like a crow's said.
"I thought Midoriya was pretty amazing too," Kaminari said while scratching his head "but in terms of combat power Bakugo is definitely a ball of natural instincts"
Midoriya had finally recovered from the attack and began to seemingly run away.
"He's running?" Ashido questioned out loud.
"It's not something that a man should do, but he has no choice but to" Kirishima responded solemnly.
"No," Naruto said getting the two's attention "he's not running away, if he was he would have gone towards the hallway, he must have a plan 'ttebayo"
"Well it better be a good one," Sero said "or else he's done for"
Then both of the boys on the monitor began running at each other, jumping in the air and preparing to hit each other, massive amounts of power building up in their respective hands.
"This looks, bad sensei!" Kirishima yelled, he wasn't kidding, if those two hit each other directly one of them might die.
"Both f you sto-" Almighty began to say before Midoriyas cry to Uraraka rang out in his ear, stopping him.
Naruto was stuck looking at the monitor refusing to take his eyes away, and that's when he noticed it, Midoriya changed the way he was going to punch, it was an uppercut now, but he'd never reach Bakugo whit a blow like that…unless "no fucking way 'ttebayo, that's way too reckless even for me" Yaoyarozu turned around to look for a second as he said that, a little bit of confusion in her expression before she also noticed the way that the green-haired boy angled his hand and gasped at the realization.
Then, before anyone else could notice Midoriya punched upwards, absolutely obliterating the building's various floors, as well as creating an updraft from the force of his strike. At the same time, he blocked Bakugo's explosion whit his other arm, burning it in the process.
Meanwhile, Uraraka lifted a weightless pillar and used it to strike some of the debris from her partner's strike, sending it flying toward Iida at a blinding speed, and giving her the opening needed to float over to the fake nuclear weapon whit the help of her quirk, making team A the winners.
"Hero… Hero team…wins!" All Might yelled loudly, announcing the victors of the exercise.
"What the hell?" Kaminari said in disbelief at his classmates' current state, "the losing team is practically uninjured, and the winning team is on the ground…"
"They lost the battle, but won the war, huh?" Tokoyami reiterated.
"This is just training tough, gero" Tsu said, calling out the boy for saying things in an overly dramatic way.

Monitor room; a few minutes after the fight between team's A & D
"Well, even if team A were the winners, the MVP of this battle was definitely Iida-shounen!" Almighty said whit certainty to start the class assessment, something that seemed to shock most of the class, including Iida himself.
"It's not either of the winners, Ochako-chan or Midoriya-chan?" Tsu asked the teacher.
"Hmm, well… why is that?" the man said before asking the class "does anyone here know?"
Yaoyarozu's hand shot up instantly "Yes, All Might-sensei!" she stated, before beginning her explanation "That is because Iida-san adapted the most to the context of the training." she then lowered her hand, and continued to explain her reasoning "From watching the match, it appears Bakugo-san acted on his own because of a personal grudge, and as All Might-sensei said earlier, it is foolish to launch a large-scale attack indoors. In the same way, taking into consideration the damage he received, Midoriya-san's plan was also rash." she then took a small second to catch her breath before finishing her statement.
"As for Uraraka-san, she not only let her guard down mid-battle, and her last attack was too reckless. If she treated the paper-mache bomb as an actual weapon, she would not have been able to take such a dangerous option" she once again opened her eyes, "Iida-san had prepared for his opponent's arrival and assumed it would have been a fight for the weapon like the scenario detailed, that's what made him late to react to the last attack." Yaoyarozu said, filling Iida whit a sense of fulfillment "In other words, the hero team only won because they took advantage of the fact that it was a training exercise, they were practically breaking the rules." she finished stating,
Then before All Might could recover from the extensive description of the exercise, Naruto chimed in "yeah, plus if Iida and Bakugo actually were villains, then Uraraka and Midoriya would be dead right now 'ttebayo" he said bluntly "the both of you overused your quirks and suffered the side effects of it, I mean seriously, Midoriya passed out, had that been a real villain, he head would have been blown off dattebayo, and that's if the nuke hadn't exploded from all of the large scale attacks, and jostling around that it got from Iida running whit it, destroying most likely the entire street, if not the city as a whole, and leaving a massive number of casualties, both civilian and hero, as when these sort of big operations happen entire agencies are dispatched alongside the police dattebayo"
Everyone let the words of the blond sink in, they weren't just risking their lives out there for the sake of it, they were doing it to make the world a safer place, so the fact that in a real scenario their actions would have just made things worse really stung.
"W-Well, that is true, but for the time being, let's just move on to the next match, shall we?" All Might said, wanting to get the class back on track as he had a limited amount of time in his current form.

Monitor room; during the fight between team's B & I
Naruto felt a shiver go down his spine as he saw the brutally effective way that Todoroki defeated the other team practically by himself, the fact that the room's temperature plummeted down a cliff also helped in the matter he supposed…oh would you like that, he could also make heat, seems he needed to get a harder training routine or else he wasn't going to be winning this year's sports tournament.

Building C; 5 minutes before the start of the 3rd training exercise
"Okay," Naruto said while looking around at the building's floorplan "Kota, what does your quirk do? I didn't see you use it during Aizawa-sensei's test" the blond questioned his partner, depending on the answer they could get a bit more creative whit where they placed the bomb.
"Um I can talk to animals, and ask them to do stuff for me" he said a bit nervously.
Naruto blinked before he grinned widely as an idea came into his mind "that's perfect!" the blond said loudly, making Koda jump a bit from the sudden and loud sound, "I'll need to check whit All Might-sensei first tough, give me a sec, okay?" the top scorer of the practical exam said before tapping into the microphone in his ear to contact his teacher "hey, All Might-sensei, I have a question for you…"

Outside of building C; 3 minutes before the start of the fight
"So, let me get this straight, your idea is to ahead and try to sneak into the building that has a guy whose senses are so good that he actively needs equipment so that they don't hurt him" Jiro asked sarcastically.
"Well, you got any bright ideas then?" Kaminari asked back somewhat irritated that they couldn't decide on a good plan, fighting them head-on was out of the question, not only was Naruto stronger than both of them but whit Koda backing him up they didn't even have a numbers advantage, plus sneaking in wasn't a good option because of Narutos crazy senses, and they also had no clue what Koda-kun's quirk even was.
"I think I do," Jiro said after what seemed like a minute and a half of thinking "we can use his enhanced senses against him by using my boots to hurt his ears, and then while he's in pain you can restrain him, or shock him, either or, sound good?"
Kaminari nodded "yeah, but what about Koda-kun? He's still physically stronger than both of us"
"Easy, we gang up on him, either that or we make a mad dash to the bomb if at all possible, just make sure to not use all your electricity on Naruto so your brain won't end up fried" she said whit a smirk.

Monitor room; 90 seconds before the start of the fight
"Hey! Isn't taking the bomb out of the building against the rules?!" Mina asked her teacher while pointing at a monitor that showed Koda speaking to a swarm of rats that were carrying the bomb into the sewers.
"It's not, the villains can't leave," the man said whit a smile "but if you have a way of transporting the bomb somewhere, and are willing to take the risk then you are more than welcome to do so!"
"Risk?" Uraraka asked, uncertain of what risk there was since it sounded like a really good idea, that way they'd never be able to find it.
"The villains are the only ones not allowed to leave, which means that if either of the heroes found the bomb then they would be at a massive disadvantage," Yaoyarozu said, eyes fixated on the screen as it was nearly time for the match to start "in other words, it's a gamble, if the heroes have no way to find the bomb then their only choice is to attempt to capture the villains, something that won't be easy to do against Naruto-san"
She bit the tip of her thumb in concentration, clearly trying to think of a way to beat Naruto's strategy if she only found out what she was doing during the time limit "what a truly devious and unorthodox plan"
"Training exercise three, start!" All Might yelled, signaling the start of the fight.

Building C; start of the battle
As soon as the signal was given Jiro and Kaminari began their plan, entering the building carefully to make as little sound as possible.
Jiro suddenly held her hand up to make her partner stop as she plugged one of her earlobes into the wall, listening to the footsteps of Naruto ass the teen rapidly approached them, as well as what sounded like a million little steps running away, knowing that their cover was blown either way she turned towards Kaminari.
"Cover your ears, this might hurt" her earlobes then connected to her support equipment, and then rhythmic blasts began to drone out through the entire building.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!" they suddenly heard Naruto yell, and both nodded towards one another, sprinting towards the blond's loud voice.

Monitoring room; the same time as Naruto yelling
"How come Naruto is yelling in so much pain? His quirk isn't active" Sero asked out loud.
"He's pretending" was the response Todoroki gave her "for a guy who scored so low on the written entrance exam he's very aware of his weaknesses and how to either cover for them or in this case use them to his advantage" he said whit a calculating look.
Tsu nodded in agreement whit Todoroki "Naruto-chan and I talked about our hero costumes, and he let me try on some of his support equipment, I wasn't able too to see or hear anything while they were on, gero" she recounted "he said that way he could use them against someone if he needed to"

Building C; during the battle between both teams
Naruto was lying on the ground, pretending to have passed out from the pain as he heard both of the heroes approaching, he'd need to bind Jiro first, sure it was underhanded, but he was supposed to be a villain at the moment anyways.
"Be careful," Jiro told her partner "Koda-san might be nearby" the girl explained while taking out some of the capture tape from her jacket pocket and crouching down to tie up one of Naruto's arms.
"Yeah, I got it, but shouldn't this be your job, you know reconnaissance?" Kaminari asked while still keeping an eye out.
"And feel all of the vibrations still going through the building?" she retorted sarcastically while grabbing Naruto's arm "yeah no thank-" she cut foo however when she saw the twitch in Naruto's lips, and her eyes widened "RUN!" she managed to yell out to her partner before Naruto switched their positions, breaking free from her grasp and grabbing her by the collar of her before slamming her into the floor.
Kaminari turned around as he heard Jiro yell and then gasp in pain, only to be greeted by the sight of Naruto wrapping the girl's wrist whit some capture tape.
"Jiro Kyoka-shoujo has been captured!" both blonds, the girl in question, and Koda who had resumed commanding his animals now that the sound blasts were no longer a threat heard through their communication devices "please exit the building, without interfering whit any of the other students!'
Naruto got off the girl to let her stand, still cautious of what Kaminari might do "So, Kaminari, what are you gonna do now 'ttebayo?" the blue-eyed blond asked while slowly stepping backward preparing himself to make a mad dash away from the heroes "fight, or try to find the bomb?"
Kaminari gritted his teeth, could he beat Naruto? No, he couldn't not right now, but he didn't need to beat him, just incapacitate him, and he could do that for sure, "what other choice is there?" he said whit a smirk as electricity began to sprout out from his hand as Jiro got up and left.
Naruto simply grinned "in that case, you'll have to catch me first dattebayo!" and whit that being said the spiky-haired teen booked it, activating his radio as h began to run away "Koda, how are things on your end?!" he yelled out, receiving a small yelp in response.
"T-they're fine now that the sounds have stopped," the block-headed teen said, his voice still sounding soft despite being so close to Naruto's ear "s-sorry to make you have to fight them on your own"
"It's fine, this was my plan anyways," he said while vaulting over a small barricade he and Koda had built whit their prep time, "I'll lead him away from the entrance to where we're hiding the bomb, it should buy you at least a couple of minutes" he then heard Kaminari jumping over the barricade a minute later.

Monitor room; a little bit after Jito's capture
"He's running away after a surprise attack?!" Kirishima questioned, "that's so unmanly!"
"It makes sense though," Yaoyarozu said "the villain's goal is to either wait until the time runs out or to capture both heroes all the while avoiding being caught or having their weapon retrieved, by running away he's giving Koda-san more time to hide the explosive whit his quirk, after that, all they would need to do is evade capture until they win" he said.
"I know that," the read-head responded "it's still boring tough"
"Sometimes the beetles truly worth fighting for aren't exciting" Tokoyami said.
"This is still just training tough" Tsu responded, fulfilling the niche she had carved out for herself as the class straight man.

Building C; last 5 minutes of the exercise
He'd fucked up, he just ran ahead blindly confident in knowing the layout of the building, without even considering that Jiro's sound attack could have messed whit the structure of the building "fuck, I'm at a dead end 'ttebayo"
"Yeah," Kaminari said, electricity once again beginning to come out of his hands, hoping he wouldn't need to output too much so he could still move around and find Koda-san or the bomb "you ain't got anywhere left to run"
Naruto sighed and put on his protective equipment, "I was really hoping it didn't come to this, but oh well," his eyes then snapped open revealing their slitted pupils behind the orange-tinted goggles as a large smile appeared across Naruto's face "lets at least enjoy ourselves!"
The spiky-haired blond then rushed forwards toward Kaminari firing off a quick right fist into the other teen's gut, following that strike was a left uppercut so strong it actually lifted Kaminari off the ground by a few centimeters "I don't know that your quirk is," he said while striking the hero with a punch to the chest in mid-air, "but so long as I don't give you an opening then it won't matter 'ttebayo!" he exclaimed while landing another left uppercut on his classmate's jaw, and then firing off a devastating high kick that sent Kaminari flying away.
Kaminari stood up from the ground, spitting out some blood from the cut lip, and bruised cheek that had accumulated in his mouth "Dammit, there's no way I can win," he coughed out before a massive amount of electricity began to surround him "but, I'll at least go down fighting!' he then slammed both of his palms onto the floor and caused a massive surge of electricity to surge trough Naruto.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH!" the google-wearing blond cried out in actual pain this time as the electricity coursed through his overly sensitive body amplifying the pain exponentially and making his limbs start to spasm and twitch, this guy's lighting was almost stronger than Saskues!
Still tough, he had overcome this, he just had to, otherwise, Koda wouldn't stand a chance against this guy "Don't…fuck whit me" Naruto said through gritted teeth as his canines and nails grew in size and the cloak of energy that had become synonyms whit his quirk appeared, shutting off his sense of sight hearing and smell whit the combined help of it and his support equipment.
"Just who do you think I've been competing whit," he said taking a couple of steps forwards as the pain became a bit more manageable whit the cloak around him acting as a sort of stopgap between him and the shocking element "for the past ten years,"
The pain was getting harsher, that was good, it meant he was headed in the right direction, "compared to him," the blond said while closing his left fist, a second tail appearing on the cloak of energy around his body in order to make the pain once again bearable "this is nothing dattebayo!" he cried out while slamming his fist into the other teens gut, knocking him out cold, and stopping the flow of electricity as he too deactivated his quirk.
"Villan team…" All Might said whit a loud voice that was starting to give Naruto a headache "wins!"

AN: Hey there hope you guys are enjoying this series so far, next chapter will be coming really soon and then after that, we'll do USJ before I take a small break from this one in order to focus on some of my other fics a bit more, now then onto the questions.
Crimson:
#1: rn I'm thinking about making it The Orange Fox since that would keep the naming scheme of his parents, that being The [insert color here] {insert thing relating to quirk here}
#2: possibly but most likely not, I personally don't really like using the "face your inner darkness" thing since in real life more often than not its a strong support network that actually helps you to accept and come to term whit stuff rather than beating it up or hugging it
#3: yeah, sorry to disappoint but there are no "tailed-beast quirks" even Narutos is more of energy manipulation than anything, now this won't mean that characters like B, Yugito, Yagura, and Garra won't exist, it's just that they'll have different quirks that they use in a similar way to Naruto, for example, Garra has a quirk that can manipulate sand, he then manipulates that sand to cover him in what is essentially his own tailed beast cloak, or B who has the same quirk as A (being able to coat their body in lightning) has better control over it and therefore can make horns and "tails" to use in combat.
#4: yeah, Tsunade exists she's basically Konoha highs recovery girl.
