"So, I take it that you like my cooking?" Chichi asked Vegeta with an amazed expression, feeling the apples of her cheeks burn a shade of pink. She handed over the last empty bowl that once held the soup she had made to one of the many maids in the room.

The maid took the bowl with a curtsy as the other maids in the room were busy carefully gathering stacks of empty bowls and dishes from off the ground to take back to the kitchen for cleaning.

Chichi had never seen anyone eat so much. Well, except for one person. One person that hurt her to think about.

The prince turned his eyes away from her, staring at a wall.

"It was tolerable." He grunted, avoiding her gaze.

"You're a terrible liar." Chichi busted into a giggle just as the last maid left the room. "Fifty-five bowls of my soup and twenty plates of the cake I made for dessert! And you call that meal tolerable to you? I'd love to see how much you actually eat then when you consider the food tasty!"

Vegeta rolled his eyes and huffed. It was too bad he couldn't cross his arms because that's exactly what he felt like doing.

"Alright! I admit it was good." He snapped, making Chichi smile and her eyes sparkle.

"At least you know if the whole princess thing doesn't work out for you you can have quite a career as a chef," Vegeta smirked mockingly before chuckling to himself.

"Oh, of course you'd say that." Princess Chichi sighed and crossed her arms, shifting where she stood. "So, now that I fed you so well, can I at least get a name from you Mr. alien prince that I'm speaking to? Please?"

Vegeta considered for a few seconds.

A chance to boast about who he was. How could he resist?

Plus he didn't know how long he would be having to put up with her and this place, with the stupid condition he was in. Might as well tell her.

"I am Vegeta. The prince of all Saiyans: A race of warriors from the planet Vegeta."

"Planet Vegeta." Chichi repeated slowly, pondering the name. "Never heard of it. Sorry"

She couldn't recall reading about such a planet in all the science textbooks that she had read in their library.

And here I never really gave much thought while reading all those science books about the debate if there's intelligent life on other planets or not. Looks like now I know. Lucky me.

"Of course you haven't. Wouldn't expect primitive earth science to know about planets so many light years away. Planet Vegeta used to be quite far from Earth anyway."

Chichi blinked.

"Used... to?" She asked confused.

"It was until it was destroyed by Frieza." Vegeta replied and the princess could see in his eyes anger burning behind them.

Chichi's eyes widened and then she frowned at his words.

How sad. To have your whole planet taken away.

"I'm so sorry." Chichi murmured sadly, tears in her eyes.

Vegeta's dark orbs moved to look at hers and once again he was surprised at her tears.

To cry over another's loss was such an odd concept to him. Especially after all his years of working as one of Frieza's men had callused his heart.

Vegeta growled and looked away from her, avoiding her tears.

"Oh, whatever!" He snapped. "Look, now that I've given you my name and answered some of your questions can I now be left alone now to have some time to think, woman? I need to try to figure out a way to get out of the mess I am in. Perhaps remember if there is a cure."

The princess and Chichi blinked a few times, processing what he said.

"Uh, sure. An hour alone seems good enough. I'll come back and check on you then and after we can discuss matters."

Vegeta gave a grunt in agreement with her words.

And just as Chichi was beginning to turn to leave the room something moving caught her eye.

Just as the pleasant feeling of being full was hitting the Prince, his brown tail had then chosen to reveal itself after being hidden underneath him. It began to sway slightly in happiness thanks to his full stomach.

Chichi could feel her color draining from her face and a scream rising in her throat.

Before the Prince could question her and before against her wishes her scream could be unleashed she quickly ran out of the room with a hand of hers covering her mouth.

Chichi's shoes loudly clopped away as they hit the floor as she ran, heading for her bedroom.

Once she reached her room she quickly slammed the door behind her before loudly screaming.

"HE'S GOT A TAIL LIKE GOKU!" She screeched in fear as she was bombarded with so many thoughts and questions.

Does that mean Goku is an alien too?

Are they related?

Does Goku know he could be an alien?

What if he knows he is and he chose not to tell me?

... Wait. if Goku is an alien does that mean he arrived here on earth in one of those ships Vegeta crashed in?"

Chichi could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Her legs trembled underneath her and she worried she was about to faint.

She shakily walked over to her bed and laid down on it, her back against the mattress. She reminded herself to breathe.

She took in a deep breath and an image of Goku's face came to her mind.

After avoiding thinking about him for quite a long time since after the tournament it felt weird to her to have her mind filled with him again.

The princess's eyes became glossy with tears.

"Oh, Goku. I thought so much we'd be perfect together." She sighed, the pain of her heartbreak resurfacing.

After the unexpected arrival of the Saiyan prince at least she had him to worry about to keep herself distracted.

Now she was stuck with thoughts about Goku again.

All of a sudden, what felt and sounded like an earthquake approaching came headed towards her room.

The door sprang open and just who she had expected to see stood in the doorway.

"Chichi, is it true. Is he awake?" Her father the Ox king quickly asked as beads of sweat covered his face after running. "You didn't get the see him yet, did you? because there's something I been meaning to tell you before you do."

Chichi sat up, just as the realization occurred to her. She closed her eyes and crossed her arms in anger.

"Do you mean about mentioning to me how our guest has a monkey tail as Goku used to, Dad?" She asked him with furrowed brows and darkened eyes.

The Ox King's eyes grew big at that and he entered the room then fell to his knees before her and clasped his hands together.

"I am so sorry, Pumpkin! I been meaning to tell you, but I saw how happy you have been lately and I didn't want to see you hurt thinking about Goku again." He frantically explained. "Please forgive me."

Chichi stared at him for a few moments before her cold eyes turned warm again.

"Of course I forgive you, dad." She sighed sadly. "but you should have told me the moment you seen it."

"Thank you so much, Chi. Yes, I know! You know I am so foolish sometimes."

Chichi got up from her bed and walked over to her father.

"So, I'll take it you've known about his tail since his arrival and ordered the servants not to tell me."

The Ox king gave a nod, being filled with shame.

"How did you manage to hide it for so long, Dad? I mean his tail. I didn't see it at all until today when it slipped out from underneath him and moved a bit like a happy puppy."

Which was really cute, now that I think about it. Chichi considered, blushing.

"Uh... heh. I used tape." Her father answered in embarrassment. "Lots and lots of tape and hid his tail under him. I guess I forgot to add new tape last night after his sponge bath."

The princess's eyes grew large at that. From just her small interaction with the prince, she had a feeling he wouldn't be too pleased if he found out about that.

.

.

Chichi was in the kitchen, busied with chopping away at an onion. She was helping with prepping for tomorrow's dinner and some of the cooks stood beside her, chopping away at different kinds of vegetables.

Once she was finished with that onion, she threw it in the large storage container that was beside her. She grabbed another onion from the small mountain of onions that were set on the countertop next to her and began to cut it.

It's times like these I'm thankful I asked the cooks to teach me to cook after everything that happened at the tournament. A good skill to have to keep me and my mind occupied.

Her eyes went to the big clock hanging on the wall to her left.

Vegeta's got ten more minutes until his hour is up. Hope he found a way to fix the mess he's in if he hasn't already. That poor man.

.

.

.

Chichi walked slowly back to the room that held Vegeta.

She had allowed her mind to think on everything the saiyan had told her about as she did.

The princess took in a deep breath and mentally prepared herself before entering the room.

"Has it been an hour already?" Vegeta asked her as she walked in.

"Sure has. Figured anything out?" She asked sounding hopeful.

Vegeta bitterly scoffed at her question.

After she had ran out of the room earlier and he had been alone, he could feel any fogginess in his mind that he hadn't known had been there leave him, helping him to think more clearly.

He assumed having a good meal had played a role in thinking more clearly.

"Nothing that will do me any good. I remembered there was another flower my father told me about once and showed me that counteracts the flower that I told you about. But your planet probably doesn't have it."

"But there's a chance, right?" Chichi asked. "I can hire some people to see if that flower exists on earth. How about it?"

Vegeta was quiet for a few seconds, Chichi could swear it looked like her offer had stunned him.

"Do what you want, Princess." He murmured quietly. "Just don't expect me to have my hopes up. I'll probably have to just wait it out."

Chichi rolled her eyes at his constant negativity and smiled.

"I'll call right now for one of the help to get me a pen and paper and you describe what the flower looks like and give me it's name and I'll write it down. I bet we will get you fixed in no time."

.

.

.

The Ox princess finished scribbling down the description of the flower and looked out the window of the room. The sun was almost finished with setting.

"It's late now, so I'll call some people first thing in the morning to look for this flower," Chichi told Vegeta happily.

Vegeta grunted and wished again to cross his arms.

"Waste of time if you ask me." He mumbled.

"Oh, really? Well we will just have to wait and see about that, Vegeta." She smirked at him with her hands on her hips.

Vegeta rolled his eyes and then a few seconds passed before he cleared his throat.

"So, care to explain why you looked at me and ran like you saw a ghost the last time you were here?" He inquired.

Chichi felt her face turn red.

"It was... uh.. your tail." She admitted flustered.

Vegeta looked at his tail. It was swaying this way and that.

He hadn't been aware of it's movements.

Interesting. I can't move the rest of my body but I can move my tail.

He flicked it and then wrapped it comfortably around his waist.

"Oh? And what about it? Is it so frightening to you that you felt the need to run off like you're being chased to your death?"

Now it was her turn to roll her eyes.

"No, I just know one other person who has... had one. Actually. Last time I seen him it was gone."

That immediately got Vegeta's attention and his last conscious moments in his ship came rushing in.

"Kakarot!" He exclaimed with wide eyes.

"Um... did you say carrot?" Chichi asked, confused at what he just said.

Vegeta growled.

"No. I said Kakarot. It's a name. He's one of the few surviving Saiyans. He was sent here to earth before our planet was destroyed. That could only be who you're speaking of."

"Hm... If it's the same person we are talking about I only know him as Goku."

Goku? What kind of a foolish name is that? Vegeta wondered darkly. Why would he go by any other name than the Saiyan name given to him? Doesn't he have any pride? And why didn't he accomplish his mission and destroy most of the earthlings by now?

Unless...

"This Goku," Vegeta said. "Tell me about him. Describe his character to me."

Princess Chichi felt a lump in her throat at his request.

She swallowed hard, pushing away tears that wanted to spring to her eyes.

"Let's see. He's sweet and brave. Loyal, funny, and charming. Oh and a great martial artist too." She answered enthusiastically.

"So, he's a fighter is he?" Vegeta asked knowingly.

With such a different personality than a normal Saiyan warrior, it sounds like Kakarot must of sustained an injury to the head. Yet, the Saiyan blood that flows in him still longs for battle. That still remains, thankfully. So, there's still hope for him to join me in my conquest of eventually getting rid of Frieza.

"The best that I've ever seen," Chichi proudly replied.

Vegeta laughed darkly.

"That was no doubt true before you met me." Vegeta cockily replied. "Wait until I return to my former glory and then you will really be amazed."

Kakarot was born only a low class warrior. Wait until you see the power of an elite, Princess. Vegeta smirked to himself. When I get free of this prison my body is in I'll blast my way out of this place and leave only a giant crater for it's remains before I go in search for Kakarot.
