Anyhoo, back to the fanfic:

Vegeta's tail with expertise quickly wrapped around the large teacup and he promptly brought the tea to his lips.

Like a man dying of thirst, Vegeta wildly chugged away at the sweet hot tea with loud gulps and emptied the cup in a matter of seconds, leaving princess Chichi dumbfounded and impressed at what she just seen.

"So, um... How do you feel now?" Asked Chichi curiously.

Vegeta stared down at his body, feeling nothing and he tried to move his hands.

Still, he couldn't.

He scowled and opened his mouth to answer her when without warning excruciating pain exploded throughout his entire body.

With a terrible involuntary jerk Vegeta found himself sitting upright due to a convulsion: His body's response to the torment he was feeling.

Chichi smiled at the sight of the prince sitting up until she noticed the sheer agony on his face.

The prince's tail unraveled it's hold on the empty tea cup and it fell and bounced off the bed, breaking with a loud clatter once it hit the floor.

"Vegeta!" Chichi shrilly cried out and took a step towards him.

A loud ear piercing scream came forth from the prince as the pain intensified tenfold within him.

Spasms and many convulsions began to overtake him and Chichi immediately ran over to him, screaming for the medical staff and putting her hands on his chest instinctively out of fear.

"What is it?! What's wrong, Vegeta?!" Chichi demanded loudly in panic.

"Stay back! Far back!" Vegeta warned, gritting his teeth as he began to fight back at the pain besieging him.

Filled with distress for the Saiyan, Chichi reluctantly heeded his warning and kept stepping back until her back hit a wall.

The Saiyan prince began powering up, causing the castle ground beneath them to shake and the food tray and bowl of rice on his lap to fly in the air.

Vegeta, discovering he could move now positioned himself flat on his back and internally fought against the uncontrollable movements in his body and at the pain.

He gave a loud yell in anger and continued to power himself up higher and higher, feeling the agony and involuntary actions lessen as he did.

The brightness of his white and blue ki around him increased so intensely that Chichi had to shield her eyes and turn away her head at the sight. Her knees dropped to the floor.

The door to the room opened and the entire medical staff stood outside together, peering in at the doorway. Their feet were glued to the floor at the frightening and intimidating sight of Vegeta.

After a few seconds passed the staff ran away screaming.

With a final loud yell, Vegeta powered up until he reached his full power, and then the fiercely bright glow of his ki over his body left, replaced with a soft white glimmer.

The castle was quiet again, the only sound that could be heard was of the soft noise of the waves of Vegeta's energy flowing over him.

Trembling, afraid of what she was going to see, slowly Chichi turned her head and looked at the prince, lowering her arm.

Vegeta was now standing on the bed, looking at her with arms crossed.

A big smile slowly spread across Chichi's face.

.

.

.

"Easy now. Small and careful steps." Said Chichi while Vegeta removed his arm from across her shoulders after using her for support.

They had walked slowly together out of the castle to the courtyard.

Vegeta took a few trembling steps all by himself.

"Good job!" Chichi smiled.

Vegeta glared in reaction at her words.

"Damn it, woman! I don't need you to praise me like I am a small child taking his first steps." Snapped Vegeta at her.

Chichi's smile fell instantly, replaced with a frown.

Looking down Vegeta raised an arm and watched bitterly as it shook. He clenched his hand into a fist, gritting his teeth.

"I am a grown man. A warrior. A prince. The Prince of all Saiyans. it's a complete and utter shame and embarrassment that I am reduced to walking and moving like this."

The princess's eyes narrowed at his words and she put her hands on her hips.

"Listen here, Vegeta and listen carefully." She said sternly. "You may be all those things, but you are not invincible. Got it? What happened to you was a terrible thing and right now you are still recovering.

You got nothing to be ashamed about because of your condition! You were injured! And who knows? After the second dose of that tea tomorrow that I'll give you you might be back to your old self. Walking around and perfectly moving as you did before."

The rage on Vegeta's face visibly softened and he speeches for a couple of seconds.

"Oh, wh-whatever!" He scoffed and his typical scowl returned.

A silence then fell between them and Chichi watched him, studying his face. He looked deep in thought and she couldn't help wonder what he was thinking.

Vegeta stared at his hand again. It felt so odd and bare without a glove.

"What happened to the armor I was wearing when my ship crashed?"

Chichi bit her lip, reluctant to answer.

"It's pretty ruined, but we still have it along with the rest of your things in the castle storage." She frowned.

"Ha. Figures..." Vegeta dryly replied. "Even so, I'd like to see it and the rest later."

"Sure. Of course."

The Saiyan stretched out his hand and aimed it at one of the castle walls.

"Now, let's see what I'm still capable of." Vegeta cockily said to himself out loud, preparing himself to fire an energy blast at one of the castle walls of the courtyard.

Chichi's eyes grew huge.

"HEY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" Frantically yelled the princess in outrage, startling Vegeta.

Vegeta looked at her, confused.

Chichi deadpanned at his incomprehension.

"Point that hand of yours away from our property!" She explained. "Blast at the sky instead, Mister! Unless you want to pay to fix the damage you're going make."

Vegeta was taken back. He was so used to destroying different lands and property without a thought in his life that he forgot he wasn't on another mission from Frieza sent to invade and conquer.

Besides, It would be foolish to destroy the property of someone you wanted to join you in your conquest.

Vegeta gradually raised his palm into the air and fired a small ball of yellow ki.

It shot into the sky like a rocket, but while it amazed Chichi it discomforted the Prince. He was still too weak to fire his normal more larger and impressive energy blasts.

"So beautiful." Chichi smiled in awe, watching the ki blast.

It's like watching fireworks. She thought.

Vegeta gave her a suspecting look as she was watching the yellow burning orb disappear from view.

"Wait just a second." He said incredulously. "You're not able to fire out energy like that, are you?!"

If she's joining us like I believe she will, she needs to learn how.

Chichi looked at him and gave a nervous laugh.

"Er, no. Neither can my father. Is it that obvious?"

"Yes, or you wouldn't have been staring off at the sky like that if you could."

Vegeta turned to face her.

"You already know how to raise your power. Since you can do that, it would only take you a short amount of time to learn the skill if I show you how."

The princess stared at him astonished.

"Really? How could you be so sure?" She inquired.

Vegeta crossed his arms at her.

"Because you already show you have a grasp on some control over your power. The next step is just to direct it in the right place."

"You mean... my hands?" Chichi asked nervously and glanced at her hands.

Wow. if I can learn to do this, dad would be so proud!

"Yes. All you need to do is to do as I say. Understood?"

.

.

.

Minutes past and finally a small tiny ball of yellow energy appeared between Chichi's palms.

"Oh, wow!" Chichi breathed in amazement, her dark orbs twinkling in delight. "Thanks so much for teaching me, Vegeta!"

"Don't lose your focus." Vegeta quickly ordered, pleased at the sight of the energy between her hands. "Keep pushing more energy out and it will transform into a fully formed ball of ki, efficient for killing or wounding."

Chichi nodded in obedience and became more serious, focusing on her instructed task.

Seconds later as Vegeta had predicted a fully fledged ball of energy was now floating between her hands.

"I did it!" The princess happily cried.

Vegeta snickered to himself at her exuberance.

Her accomplishment was to be commended.

The Saiyan could still remember a celebration had been ordered by his father in the kingdom when he had successfully made and shot his first energy blast as a child.

"Very good, princess." He replied in approval. "Now, shift the equal energy that is in both of your hands to the hand of your choice."

At his instructions, Chichi's brows came together in concentration. Taking in a deep breath she pushed the energy in her left hand to her right and then exhaled after achieving the difficult endeavor.

While ecstatic that she had completed that hard task the princess felt exhausted now. A strong part of her desired to just extinguish the energy in her hand and go rest in bed.

Perhaps take a nap for a couple of hours.

No way. Chichi strongly determined. Just ignore it and push through.

She could feel the sweat glistening off her forehead.

"Okay. What now, Vegeta?" Chichi asked, out of breath.

"It's simple. Aim at your target," Vegeta smirked, raising his hand to the sky for an example. "Then fire."

Chichi slowly pointed her trembling hand at the blue summer sky.

She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath through her nose.

"Ha!" She loudly yelled, pushing and releasing the ki.

Vegeta watched in admiration at the large soaring ki blasting off.

Panting, Chichi smiled at the energy attack flying up to the sky.

A flock of pterodactyls suddenly came into view in the sky from the courtyard, majestically soaring.

The princess watched horrified as her huge orb of energy nearly struck the creatures.

A few of the pterodactyls could tell by looking down that she had been the source of their near death as her arm was still raised.

Loudly they cried out in anger at her, before catching up with the rest of their group who were speeding off.

"Sorry!" Chichi cried out to the dinosaurs that were flying away.

Vegeta cracked into laughter at what had just happened, shoulders shaking.

The princess rolled her eyes at Vegeta's laughter and then allowed herself to fall down on her behind in exhaustion and she then let out a loud sigh.

"Laugh as much as you want, but I'm glad that attack missed those poor animals," Chichi said in relief. "Poor things. I wouldn't have been able to sleep a whole week if I had killed them."

Her words only made Vegeta laugh harder.

After allowing her to rest for a bit the Saiyan had Chichi on to her next lesson which he knew was also a necessary skill for her to have in order to join him: flying.

He had figured she wouldn't have known how given the fact that she hadn't known how to release energy blast attacks before.

On planet Vegeta energy attacks were almost always taught before flying lessons took place. It just made the most sense to learn in that order.

Concentrate... Come on! You can do this!

Chichi stared hopefully down at her feet, arms firmly at her sides.

Come on, feet. Just an inch off the ground!

"You're trying too hard." Corrected the Prince. "You're too tense. Relax your body."

the Ox princess visibly relaxed in response, shoulders now loosened.

"Good. Now stay relaxed like that and do what I instructed you before."

Chichi closed her eyes, thoughts of doubt beginning to trouble her.

It's been a good twenty minutes and I still haven't got off the ground. Maybe I should just give up?

"Flying usually takes longer to learn than learning to create an energy attack. It's because it involves the whole body." As if reading her mind, Vegeta explained to her.

"Got it." Chichi nodded.

Ten more minutes past and just when the princess was about to give up, she began to lift off the ground a good three feet.

Chichi let out a happy squeal in delight.

"I'M FLYING!" She happily shouted.

"More like hovering," Vegeta smirked. "Time to raise yourself even higher and begin to really fly around."

Terror filled Chichi and she looked at him in complete horror.

"I don't think I am ready for that just yet! I mean what if I fall?" Quickly spoke the princess

Her words had been spoken so fast that it had taken Vegeta a few seconds to decipher what she had just said.

He scoffed.

"You're forgetting that your not an average human, princess. If you fall from a great distance it won't easily kill you like others of your kind."

Chichi gulped down her fear.

That's true. She considered, feeling more at ease.

Still, reluctance was easily seen in her expression.

Vegeta rolled his eyes and without thought, he took a few shaking steps towards her and reached up and took her hand.

"Oh, come on! Look, if it bothers you that much, I'll fly with you." He snapped and began hovering right next to her.

Right away Chichi's cheeks turned pink.

A man is holding my hand!

Confused yet attracted at the sight of her blushing it then hit Vegeta as he looked down at their hands clasped together.

The prince himself momentarily blushed before clearing his throat and diverting his eyes from hers.

"Right. So, let's go." Vegeta murmured and started flying up into the air with Chichi close behind.

Chichi bit the inside of her cheek to keep from screaming as they ascended higher and higher.

Her hand covered her eyes.

Flying on Nimbus with Goku was definitely easier for her to deal with. At least with Nimbus she felt like she still had her feet on the ground.

Flying so freely in the air like she was now with Vegeta just felt so wrong and against her human intuition on so many levels.

I won't die if I fall. She repeated to herself over and over.

"Don't be afraid." fiercely ordered Vegeta. "You're a warrior. Don't forget that. You must learn to face your fears or one day it might cost you your life. Flying is a skill necessary for a fighter."

What he had said had encouraged her and she agreed with him every bit. Chichi steeled herself and removed her hand, ready to face her fears.

She released her grasp from Vegeta's hand. Now she was on her own.

With her sight back she could now tell they had stopped moving. She gave a quick glance at Vegeta who was floating in front of her before peeking down below.

They were a good hundred feet off the courtyard ground.

Chichi instantly screamed and grabbed on to Vegeta as if he were her life preserver. Her face buried itself into his chest and her body trembled against him.

Vegeta's arms had reflexively wrapped around Chichi and he looked down at her in shock and red faced at the intimate position they were in.

The Saiyan prince certainly wasn't used to being so close to a female, excluding the times when he battled against them.

His life focus had been on defeating Frieza and winning battles. He hardly had the time to go in search of a female to espouse and procreate with. He had just concluded that it would be something he would do after he had killed Frieza.

But perhaps things were falling into place for him? He did consider her a perfect kind of woman for a Saiyan. To not try to seize the opportunity to wed her would only make him as foolish as Kakarot.

Are all females as soft as her? He wondered, feeling with his hand the softness of her skin over her shirt.

.

.

.

So, that's who the source of the large power belongs to. Thought Piccolo as he stared at Chichi and Vegeta close together in the air.

He was cautiously peeking behind a large boulder and a good ways away from the castle walls, his power level down low as possible.

Figured it couldn't have been the princess. A rookie fighter like her getting that strong so soon? Heh. Yeah, right.

Something moving behind Vegeta caught Piccolo's eye and he squinted, trying to figure out what it was.

"It's...It's a tail!" Piccolo announced stunned once he realized it.

Just the sight of it brought back to Piccolo memories of Goku and he couldn't help but narrow his eyes as it did. His purple blood boiled in murderous rage at the thought of his rival who had defeated him at the tournament.

That's definitely not Goku, though. Who is that guy? Some kind of relative of Goku?

Chichi could hear her heart loudly pounding in her ears. As time passed eventually the fear slowly lessened and she became more aware of herself and her surroundings.

Slowly she turned her head to the side and raised it, softly bumping the crown of her head underneath Vegeta's chin.

Mortified, and red as a beet the princess finally ascertained that she had clung to Vegeta in her terror and knew now how close they were physically.

"Sorry!" Chichi cried out in complete embarrassment, breaking them apart with her hand on his chest, softly yet firmly pushing herself away from him.

She flew back a bit and in shame, her hands covered her red face.

"This is so embarrassing I-"

"Wait." Vegeta interrupted, freeing chichi from her sheer humiliation.

Slowly Chichi's hands fell to her sides, revealing her now normal colored face.

In expectation and curiosity, she waited for Vegeta to continue.

"Y-yes?"...

Vegeta boldly reached out and took her hand, leaving Chichi stunned and speechless.

"I have a proposition I"ve been meaning to ask you."

The princess's eyes turned big.

IS HE GOING TO ASK ME TO MARRY HIM?! She ecstatically wondered.

The eerie feeling of being watched fell upon Chichi and she looked down at where she felt the pair of eyes watching them were.

When Chichi's eyes fell on Piccolo's the princess's face turned a shade blue in horror.

Confused at the sudden fear he saw coming from her, Vegeta's brows furrowed and he looked down where she was looking at.

A Namekian?!

"It's Piccolo!" Chichi informed the prince. Raw panic was in her voice. "I don't understand what he's doing here at my home."

Vegeta crossed his arms, an amused glint in his eyes.

"Oh, I have an idea," Vegeta smirked in response to her and began flying downwards in Piccolo's direction.

"Vegeta!" Chichi cried out in protest. "No! What are you doing?! He's dangerous!"

She began flying after him in desperation, worried for the Prince.

Every fiber of Piccolos being screamed at him to run from the man with the massive power heading his way, but his pride kept his feet firmly in place. Sweat fell from the green fiend's face and he took a defensive stance, glaring at Vegeta.

The Saiyan chuckled at the fear so blatant in the Namekian's eyes.

Vegeta's feet gracefully touched the ground. He was still laughing, while Chichi clumsily landed close behind him.

"The princess didn't mention that this Piccolo she spoke of was a Namekian. Pretty far from your home planet, aren't you?"

Chichi audibly gasped in shock at the revelation Vegeta gave of just exactly what her nemesis was.

You have got to be joking? Chichi Mentally cried. Who else do I know is an alien?

Perhaps... Chiaotzu and Tien?

Or maybe Krillin since he has no nose.

Piccolo scowled.

"Nam...ek? Planet? What the hell are you blabbering about? And who are you?" Piccolo demanded.

Vegeta snickered.

"Oh, do pardon my manners." Vegeta maliciously grinned. "Allow me to introduce myself: I am Vegeta the prince of all Saiyans. I come from the planet Vegeta."

Piccolo's brow ridges came together.

"Are...Are you saying we're aliens?" He asked confused, baring his fangs while still glaring at him.

Vegeta let out a barking laugh.

"Really? You didn't know that you were? You're a Namekian from the planet Namek. Honestly, didn't the green skin and pointy ears tell you that you're not from around here?"

Vegeta unraveled his tail from around his waist.

"Just like how my tail shows I am not an earthling."

Wrinkles of surprise formed across Piccolo's forehead and his mouth partially went open.

"Then... Then you're saying Goku-"

"Goku? Oh, you mean Kakarott. Yes, he is a Saiyan like I am." Vegeta answered smugly.
