bopdog111: Been quite a while but now time for Atem to duel Akira.

Ulrich362: True, unfortunately for Akira Atem isn't a Link specialist but he should still be able to put up a fight.

bopdog111: Anti-Link isn't the only thing the Tindangles have.

Ulrich362: True, but it is one of the deck's strongest points. Only one way to find out though, enjoy the chapter.

Ashley, and the others walked over to LID. Soon they arrived where they see Atem, and Akira opposite to each other on a field. Looking over Atem smiled to them, "We wouldn't start without you guys."

"Well don't let us keep you." Ashley smiled.

They looked over before Atem asked Akira, "Before we start Akira." Akira listened before he asked, "I dueled for fun, and I'm glad you want to duel me but why exactly? You must know how strong I am."

"I want to see if I'm good enough to keep up with you. And make sure my sister is in the right hands."

Atem only smiled, "Well you don't need a match against your sister's crush's father for that. But I still wouldn't refuse a duel. You ready to begin?"

"I am." Akira nodded. "Do you mind if I take the first turn?"

"Not at all." was his response.

"LET'S DUEL!"

"Hey Skye what kind of a duelist is your brother?" Stephanie asked Skye curiously.

"Just watch." Skye answered. "You'll understand pretty quickly."

Akira 1st Turn:

"I'll start with one monster in defense mode, and then I activate the spell cards Stairs of Mail and Nagel's Protection." Akira stated.

(face-up)

Stairs of Mail

Continuous Spell Card

During your Main Phase: You can activate this effect; discard 1 "Tindangle" card, and if you do, apply 1 of these effects.
● Change 1 face-down Defense Position monster you control to face-up Attack Position.
● Change 1 face-up Attack Position monster you control to face-down Defense Position.
This turn, you cannot discard another card with the same name for the effect of "Stairs of Mail" (even if this card leaves the field).

Nagel's Protection

Continuous Spell Card

"Tindangle" monsters in your Main Monster Zones cannot be destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effects. Once per turn, if your "Tindangle" monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent, the damage is doubled. You can banish this card from your GY and discard 1 "Tindangle" card; add 1 "Nagel's Protection" from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Nagel's Protection" once per turn.

"That ends my turn."

Atem 1st Turn:

"Two Continuous Spells, and a face-down..." Atem trailed off cupping his chin, "Alright can't think about it! Draw!" Atem drew looking before calling, "For the first move, I'll be summoning Red Resonator!"

"And since I just summoned this card, I get to summon another monster from my hand. Provided it's level is 4 or below." Atem takes a second card dramatically raising it up, "So I'll summon the fiendish wonder between the sealers, Djinn Presider of Rituals!"

"You know well. Then here comes a monster that should be iconic." Atem smiled as Flare Resonator flew up turning to 2 rings while Presider passes through forming 4 stars.

"True, and there's probably more to come." Rose agreed.

"Then here's the spell, Majinrai, the Magical Lightning!" Atem uses a spell.

"By sending Djinn Demolisher of Rituals from my hand, you lose 200 points equal to it's level which is 600!" Atem called as Archfiend's Call fired lightning at Akira.

Akira braced himself as he was struck by the lightning.

(Akira: 3400/Hand: 2)

"Then to keep this going, I use Performance in Fiendish Land!" Atem called using a spell where Archfiend Eccentrick, and Hallohallo are doing tricks in front of multiple fiends.

"By sending Archfiend's Awakening from my Deck to the graveyard, I get to call back a Fiend with a lower back from the graveyard!" Atem sent the Ritual before calling, "That means Red Resonators back in Defense Position!"

Red Resonator rose up again.

Red Resonator: (Defense Position)

"Alright Archfiend's Call charge in at his face-down!" Atem called as Archfiend's Call firing lightning at Akira's face-down.

"The effect of Euler's Circuit." Skye answered.

"As I have three Tindangle monsters in play you're not allowed to attack." Akira explained.

Akira looked at the card before his eyes widened in shock.

Annihilator Archfiend conjured a blast from Red Resonator firing it at the Field Spell. Akira braced himself as the cards shattered and the seal vanished.

Annihilator Archfiend charged a dark destruction orb firing it at Tindangle Protector.

"So now by paying 1000 points, I draw 2 cards, and if one of them is a spell, I can send it to the graveyard to add a Monster from the graveyard to the hand!" Atem explained. (Atem: 3000/Hand: 0)

Akira nodded hearing that.

Atem drew looking before revealing a Pot of Greed before discarding it adding a card to his hand, "Since I added a Fiend, Acute Cerberus loses half of it's attack points."

"Does that effect target?" Akira inquired. "The monster equipped with Gergonne's End can't be targeted."

"Uh yeah." Atem answered.

"Then my Tindangle Acute Cerberus keeps all of his attack points." Akira revealed calmly.

In other words, on my next turn I can give you my token, flip Tindangle Trinity into attack mode and once Acute Cerberus battles I can summon a second token and inflict 4500 points of damage."

"Well Euler's Circuit won't use it's effect for that." Atem told him.

"Oh, and how do you intend on stoping me from using that effect?" Akira asked calmly.

Atem pointed which they looked seeing... Archfiend's Awakening is at the arrow Acute Cerberus is pointing to his field.

"Even if that's true, I don't need three Tindangle monsters. I just need Acute Cerberus to point to three monsters. All Archfiend's Awakening being there does is reduce the damage by 500 points." Akira told him.

"So go ahead, and do it, if you think it can go well." Atem told him.

"If he'll be willing to join us." Souji answered. "Well, we should figure out the details later. Talk soon Atem."

"See ya." Atem hanged up before smiling, "That was Souji just now. He's inviting us for a picnic at the TV World."

"Really, that sounds fun." RJ smiled. "Can I invite Jamie?"

"Of course, just make sure he doesn't wander away. Souji said it's peaceful now but we shouldn't let our guard down." Atem gave his permission.

She smiled at that.

"So, time to head home?" Rose asked.

They all nodded heading back home at this. When they reached Riley felt her feet being swept up finding herself in Atem's arms bridal style.

"Atem." she blushed with a smile before wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I love you all." he said to everyone.

"We love you too dad." Andy smiled as Rose and the girls all undressed before kissing his cheeks.

Atem smiled at this looking at the girls at this before saying, "I don't know what I do without you all."

"You'll never have to find out." Stephanie smiled.

Suddenly Violet started to cry. Cole looked surprised before walking over, "I think she wants you too Dad."

Atem hearing that takes Violet in his arms when Riley got off. The moment he held her Violet stopped crying and looked happy before putting her head against him as she opened her eyes wide. Atem chuckled at that, "Boy Vi, you really are something aren't ya?"

She looked up at him before moving closer to him.

"Daddy's girl, complete daddy's girl." Timmy giggled.

"Oh definitely. Steph was a close second." Micheal giggled with him.

Said girl blushed. "Can you blame me, I mean dad's awesome."

"I agree with her." her twin brother agreed, "He endured hardship from his parents, became a top master duelist, came back after forming into a demon lord, and is now doing everything he can for us. Who wouldn't think he's cool?"

"You heard your kids Atem, you're amazing." Rose smiled.

"Come on I'm not really-" There was that modest side of him.

Riley just smiled kissing him. "You're amazing Atem, and we won't have any arguments understood?"

He chuckled a bit, "Well when you put it like that..."

Ulrich362: Apologies for the less intensive chapter, it's been a while so we're still trying to get back into this one... hopefully it won't take quite as long a real before the next chapter.

bopdog111: Next time will be their trip to the TV World. Any thoughts on reactions?
