Aunt Chapter 3

Aunt is understandably more than highly skeptical about her brothers' heinous intentions this day. In fact she is downright terrified. Truthfully she doesn't even want to contemplate what Grandfather has in store for all of them once his former persona has fully been revived.

She and Father had arrived early at the Convention Center to get everything ready for the presentation and now as other Villains are gathering after being summoned she keeps eyeing the box where Pappy is with both disdain and resentment.

Once the entire auditorium is fit to capacity, almost bursting with adults and teenagers alike, the meeting gets underway.

Standing at the podium, addressing the massive crowd, Father said "My fellow adults, thank you all for joining me today. First off, I'd like to thank Grandma Stuffum for not providing the catering at the Supervillians' Convention. And I want to thank each and every villainous one of you for today's attacks on the hated Kids Next Door. Seriously guys good hustle out there!"

A mass of applause breaks out at this. It's the first time in a long while adults have been banded together and unified like this in a while especially having gotten the better of the Kids Next Door in getting what they want. So far the Kids Next Door don't have a clue that their precious Recommissioning Module has been stolen yet, but it is only a matter of time.

Aunt hopes none of them are stupid enough to dare come here into such an obvious trap.

"Now onto why we've all come here. Today I shall release upon those brats the world's most ultimate evil. What, you ask, can be more evil than me, Father," said Father, excitedly. Much to his displeasure and irritation others across the stadium shouted out their ideas about this and they were not even close, seriously trying his patience. Leaving him seething to the breaking point. "First off, that was a rhetorical question. Everybody if you would…Shut up!"

Father's flames expand exponentially causing everyone to immediately cease their pointless bickering and pay close attention.

"You're all wrong! The one evil that is greater than I is…," said Father, pulling away the tarp covering the box Pappy is in. "Grandfather!"

"What," groaned Pappy, barely able to stand with his cane. "Is it time for wee-wees already?"

Entirely unimpressed, Mr. Boss said "What? The guy who doesn't flush is scarier than this geezer!"

Holding aloft the stolen Recommissioning Module, Father said "That's because I haven't used the Kids Next Door's Recommissioning Module on him yet. This man, this hunched, liver-spotted creature with hair growing out of his ears, was once the supreme power in the world until he was defeated by a misguided by and his stupid book. A boy who wiped Grandfather's memories clean and evaporated his powers before my eyes. But now I, his son, will restore his evil abilities, and together we shall return the world's snotty brats to their rightful place. And furthermore-."

Abruptly Father's speech to the roaring crowd is cut off as out of nowhere, hidden in the ceiling rafters, Number 1 appears launching himself out into the open to retrieve the Recommissioning Module. But before he could touch it the trap is sprung.

Number 1 is caught midair used by Cree with the rest of his unit frozen by Chad.

Teeth gritted and fists clenched, heart heavy, Aunt said "Oh, Nigel, no."

Tears unwillingly form in the corners of her eyes. Father might already assume they're in sheer delight from victory. To the contrary, it's the opposite. They're from shame and reluctance.

Nigel Uno's predictability towards this situation was spot on.

And it is his actions that'll cause a monster to be reawakened.

Father takes what needs from Number 1, depositing it directly into the Recommissioning Module. It activates and he takes aim at Pappy.

There's nothing Aunt can do to stop him.

Pappy screams, being levitated in the air by its power. Soon those screams are changed into maniacal laughter. A dreaded laugh that Aunt hasn't heard in decades. From all over the place shadows are drawn from the room and converge onto Pappy, altering his shape and form. It's over in seconds and in a tornado of shadows and dark energy Grandfather has risen.

Laughing darkly, Grandfather declares "I'm back!"

So I've got some bad news for all my loyal readers. My dog just passed away a couple of months ago. To be perfectly honest I'm heartbroken. He meant so much to me and even though my family has had other dogs in the past, since I moved out, he was my baby and the first animal to ever well and truly be mine. Especially during all of this craziness with covid-19 I think all dog owners can agree that your canine companions can really fill that void that one can find themselves stuck in. And make their households complete. So this is a shout out to all fellow dog lovers out there that see them as their children. Keep your animals close to you and cherish them always…That goes for cats, too. ;)
