Reviews Q,R :
'George Cristian810'
R: An oc who is in fact a si and wish of the author . Zero story.
A: Thanks for the honest review George. However, zero story or not, I will continue to press on this fanfiction series. I've researched for the last 4 months not to just give up this easily. Only 2 Chapters have been posted so far. Of course everyone is entitled to share their opinion and every has different tastes of what type of FFs they interested in, to invest their time reading. This is a story of mine that I would love to complete, but it wont take months to finish off, maybe even years to finish. Maybe it's too early to tell, but maybe one day when the story expands a bit more in the near future, you can probably read on from there. I don't care about how many people view, favourite or follow this story. I'm just posting my dream story and a reboot of the show with an OC portraying in it. Until then, thanks for reading, much appreciated.
'Clutch28'
R: Ahh nothing like a bad story and removing a canon character to put in a bad self-insert to "reboot" a series that didn't require rebooting. Stick to your day job.
A: Thanks for the review 'Clutch28', some of the reviews aren't being helpful towards the morality of the story. You've only read the first two chapters. I mentioned in the beginning to the first 4-6 Chapters will be a bit of a drag, but they will involve more of Kim in the future. I can't confirm or deny whether Ron (AKA The Canon Character) will return. I can't say anything. Bad story... Well it's a new type of fanfiction including an OC Character, but removing a main character from the series was a plot point. Reboot series only happen to only make one thing... Money. So I'm not going to argue whether the show didn't require a reboot. Did Batman or Superman require reboots?

After 23 Hours of flying on an airplane, Paul finally arrived at Heathrow Airport in London. The flight was quite a drag for him, but spent half of it sleeping and entertained himself with music and watching either films or tv shows on his in-flight device. Surprisingly he was quite refreshed after spending half the flight sleeping and excited. Excited that he was visiting one of his top destinations on his list of places to go around the world. London!
"Thank you for flying with Qantas, have a good morning sir." The friendly stewardess says to the young teenager.
"Thank you, and you too!" Paul responds back to the stewardess in a friendly and chirpy tone.
Paul proceeding to disembark from the plane and enter the terminal and find the baggage carousel to pick up his luggage.
It was '11:27AM' on his watch and was about to call his Dad, followed by his Mum and a few friends, as it was the first thing he intended to do when he touchdown in London.
He was lucky he didn't have to rush for his second flight, as it would depart tomorrow afternoon. This was one of the few requests he asked for, when fully accepting this Student Exchange Program. It was to have a nice time walking the streets of London, going past the football stadiums, including his favourite football team 'Chelsea'. Seeing other landmarks of London if he could fit it all in within the small timeframe. It also was a chance to watch online his AFL team was playing on Saturday Night in Melbourne, which correlates to about '10:45AM' London Time in less than 24 hours' time.
Followed by a Flyway Airlines from Heathrow to Denver International Airport at '1:45PM' with a 9 Hour flight hopefully to land in the US before 5PM. Strange name for an airline. Heard stranger airlines with weird mottos and class types of fleets.
Paul clicks a few buttons on his phone and before you know it, he was hearing a ringing sound on his phone, pressed up against his ear.
"Hey Dad, I just landed in London."
"Hey, That's good son, hope you had a safe flight. What are you doing now?"
"Yeah, I did. Quite smooth actually, not much turbulence in the air, except for the departing and landing sequences. I'm just about to pick up my luggage and drop it off at the hotel, then go out for the next few hours."
"That's good, hopefully you enjoy sightseeing in London for the next 24 Hours"
"Thanks I will. I'll cherish every moment. Hey, by any chance, did you do that request I asked for regarding the stocks?"
"It's all done Paul. Hopefully you know what you're doing with that"
"Trust me. Its all-in good hands."
"That's good to hear. You know, whatever you do with that, I will still love you no matter what son"
"Thanks Dad, I appreciate that. I love you too. So what do you think about the Hawks and th-OOF!"
Paul's conversation was interrupted as he accidentally bumped into a person in the middle of the terminal corridor. Thankfully Paul and the other person didn't fall to the tiled floor.
"Oh, sorry man. My bad" Paul immediately apologised.
"No, its all-good buddy. I wasn't looking either." A blonde-haired teenager responded back in a sad manner.
Both had a small interaction and both went on their ways, but Paul instead stood in place for a few seconds looking back at the person he bumped just a mere few seconds ago, before returning back to the phone call.
"Sorry about that Dad." Paul continued speaking to hid father.
"All good son. What were you saying?"
"I was saying what do you think of the game on Saturday night, do you think we have a good chance of winning?"
"Well, if we have a fast start against Sydney, we can win the game, but they have the strong forward line the Swans, so we need to make sure th.."
Paul was wondering around his surrounds while listening to his Dad talk, but stopped listening for a few seconds as he looked down to the floor, noticing a brown square object on the floor. He bent over to pick it up and stared at it for a few moments before realising that it was a wallet and must of belonged to the blonde-haired kid he bumped into a few second ago.
"Paul? ...Paul?... Pa- Son ...Hello?" Angelino kept calling out his son's name, thinking he might be in an area with bad reception.
Paul snapped back to reality and put the phone back to his ear again.
"Dad I'm going to have to call you back in a few minutes, thanks." Paul said quickly to his Dad before hanging up to find the teenager in a red hockey jersey, brown trousers and blonde hair he just bumped into just merely a few seconds ago.
He quickly looked up to see the teenager, thankfully not to far away from him.
Paul slowly jogs back to the said teenager, as he starts calling him when he gets closer towards him
"Excuse me! Hey man." Paul finally caught up to him and gained his undivided attention with the teenager looking over his shoulder. "You dropped this." Paul hands the wallet in front of him
The blonde teenager looks at Paul confused as he then pats down his pocket then realises something is missing he then realises he lost his wallet, then realising the teen found it while he bumped into him before," (Gasps) Oh my gosh. My wallet!" The teenager says shocked and excited about getting his wallet returned as he opens up to see all his contents inside. "Bon Diggity! My Bueno Nacho rewards card is still in there! Thanks a bunch pal!"
"All good man. Hey, is everything all right? You seem a bit sad? I know it's a bit weird to ask a person I just meet, but I just wanted to see if everything is alright?" Paul asked the other teen, noticing his previous interaction was feeling a bit sad when he responded back to him.
"Oh, never-mind that. I'm just a big jet-lagged from the flight." The blonde teenager lied, but Paul could see straight through him.
"It doesn't seem like that. Come on, if something's bothering you can tell me. I mean if you don't want to I completely understand." Paul asked the other teen with a sympathetic tone.
"I mean you did find my wallet ang gave it back to me... But I don't want to bother you with my problems man."
"It's all good. We're both teenagers, we go through hard times. Plus I don't mind listening." Paul reassures the teen.
"Really? I mean don't you have anywhere else to be?" The teen asks.
"I do, but I'm in London for one night before I have to leave tomorrow afternoon."
The blonde-haired teenager was quite surprised to hear that another teenager was willing to hear him out.
"Well alright!" The blonde hair teen smiled.
Paul smirked at his now happy attitude and decided to start off with a proper introduction. "Well, we didn't have a chance to get a proper introduction before. My name is Paul. And yours?" Paul puts his hand out in front of the other teenager. Before putting his hand to firmly grasp it and shake it, he hesitates first before introducing himself.
"Ron. Ron Stoppable, at your service." The teenager shakes Paul's hand.
"So, you said you're from Austria" Ron says to Paul while they wait for their luggage at the carousel.
"No. I'm from Australia." Paul corrects Ron.
"Oh. Then what's the difference?" Ron asks.
"Austria is a country in Europe and Australia is a country that has it's own continent and lies between the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
"So... No strudel?"
"Nope. But you're right about strudel being in Austria. It originates from there. In Australia, we have meat pies, lamingtons, vegemite and pavlovas."
"Hmm. Pies with meat. I've only eaten pies that are named after fruits."
"Those are dessert pies. Meat Pies can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner."
"Pies you can eat for breakfast! Where has that been my life?" Ron says excitedly, before wondering what his been missing out on.
"Well every country has different foods. And by guessing your accent. You're from America. Right?" Paul says to Ron.
"Woah, good guess." Ron says quite impressed at his guess.
"Thanks. Oh there is my luggage." Paul says as he approaches his luggage.
"You sure you don't need any help at all? They both look pretty heavy." Ron asks.
"No, I'm all good thanks." Paul kindly declined as he picked up both of his large suitcases easily.
"There's my luggage." Ron points out
Ron begins to walk towards his luggage. Paul notices Ron is eyeing two large suitcases. He tries to lift them up, but he can't seem to lift them more than an inch off the carousel.
"Need a hand?" Paul asks.
"Nope, the Ron-ster has got this." He insists with confidence.
He continues to struggle to lift the suitcases and before a matter of time before it goes back into the baggage area, where it will go around the carousel again.
"Here. Let me." Paul insists. As he walks to help Ron lift his suitcases together as a team. Paul was quite surprised how heavy those two suitcases where.
"Woah! What do you have in these bags? Meteorites?"
Ron chuckles at this "I wish. No, it's all my stuff from home. You see I'm relocating here in England for a few years. So, I brought everything that I could fit in these two suitcases from America. And this is nothing. My parents organised a big freight for our furniture and other personal belongings to be shipped here."
"Damn. So, you're obviously going to miss your home."
"Yeah, but it's only for 5 years. I had to leave my best friend that I've known since Pre-K. My father got a job offer that would benefit for my family. But I would give up anything to move back home sooner. Even Bueno Nacho. And that's my favourite place to eat! Good thing they have nearly 30,000 stores worldwide."
"Never heard of it sorry." Paul said honestly as Ron's eye widened, but something else was on Paul's mind. He could understand how Ron was feeling. He was in a similar scenario as he was, but Ron was worse off. Despite the fact Ron had his family alongside with him. Paul had to go to a country that he's never been, alone for at least 2 years. Paul felt sorry for the young teenager. It's hard to be away from your best friend.
"I'm sorry you have to go through with all of this. It must be a hard time going along with all of this" Paul responded with a sympathetic tone.
"Well, there's not much I can do. I mean I had plans with my best friend for when we started High School, but those are thrown out the window." Ron sighs but perks up again, "But hey, at least I don't have to worry about the Queen of England existing."
"Uh, Ron. Sorry to ruin your mojo, but the Queen of England is real."
Ron's eyes slightly widen upon hearing this. "Oh man. (Clicks Fingers) I've got to learn so much about England." As he lets out a gentle sigh as he takes a seat on a nearby bench.
Paul stares at Ron he looks down at the floor. Paul, who just only met this guy 10 minutes ago, feels bad. He looked like he needed a friend. And Paul thought "Why not start here. He seems like a nice guy. And quite funny too." Paul starts to smile and begins to speak to him "Say, I've got an idea. I've got a lot of free time on my hand today. Would you like to sightsee London with me for the next few hours? We can even find your Mexican food place if you like?"
Ron gasps at this "You would really do that with me?"
"Of course, buddy."
Ron smiles, as he jumps off the bench and springs into the air.
"Let me drop off my luggage with parents and will get this bon diggity trip started!"
"Okay sure. We have to go past my hotel to drop off my bags as well, if that's alright with you." Paul says asking for Ron's permission
"All good, can I ask you something?"
"Sure." Paul says.
"Is it true that Lord Voldemort lives here in London and comes out at night."
"(Chuckles) No Ron. He's from a fictional film franchise and novel series." Paul says smiling to Ron.
"Cool. No need for a night light then. Actually just in case."
Paul and Ron proceeds to roll their luggage until Ron finds his parents at a coffee shop called 'Costa Coffee'
"(Slurps Drink) Mmm, this coffee is quite nice. It's always good to try a new coffeehouse. Ah Ron there you are. Who's your friend." Mr Stoppable asks.
"Guys this is Paul, he's heading to America as a Foreign Student" Ron introduces the brown-haired teen to his parents.
"Hello there, Mr and Mrs Stoppable" Paul gives a short wave to both of Ron's parents.
"Glad to meet you Paul." Mr Stoppable says "I'm Donald and this is my wife Barbra."
"Hey there."
"Good to meet you both. How's the coffee? I've heard about and seen this place before on a Top Gear episode once. The car destroyed the sitting area of the cafe inside a shopping centre."
"My that sounds entertaining. It's not that bad. We like to try new things. Especially when we visit a new country."
"I see. Good way to adapt to a country's culture." Paul says.
Ron speaks up "Mum, Dad is it alright if I hangout with Paul for the next few hours please?"
Both parents like at each other and smile, "Of course you can Ron. As long as get back home before 9PM." Mrs Stoppable says to his son.
"Booyah! Thanks guys." Ron says to his parents.
"Do you guys want a lift to the city?" Mr Stoppable says to both teens.
"Oh, I wouldn't want to be a bother, I need to drop of my bags to my hotel. I don't mind paying for an Uber." Paul assures the older blonde married couple.
"Nonsense, It would be cheaper either way. I insist." Mr Stoppable says insisting.
"Well if you say so Donald. Thank you." Paul says appreciating Donald's offer.
The group of 4 went to find a taxi outside the terminal and heading towards their way to the Stoppable's apartment complex, which was near the London Central Business District. While Paul's hotel was about a 10 minute drive from their apartment. The would first drop off Donald and Barbra at their new home first and drop off all the luggage, give Ron a key and swipe card, before entering back into the taxi.
"Now Ron, be back before 9PM please." Donald says while picking up a small blue carrier.
"Sure thing Dad."
"Also I've paid the driver an additional 20 Pounds, so he can drop you off anywhere."
"Oh thank you Donald. But I've surely got to reimburse you for th-" Paul says as he takes out his wallet.
"Nonsense Paul" Donald says before coming close to Paul's ear "This is the happiest he's been since leaving home. Thank you for agreeing to spend the whole day with him. He truly needs this."
"No problem sir, he's a great guy." Paul says putting his wallet back into his pockets.
"Outstanding, well I'm off. You boys have fun. Ron here's some money for lunch or dinner." Donald says giving his son a few coloured notes of currency.
"Thanks Dad." Ron says before taking the Sterling notes. "Let's go a drop off your bags Paul."
Paul nods.
"Hink Thank you." A strange sound called out.
Paul looked back for a second to hear where that voice came from. It sounded to squeaky to be from Donald. He then starts to think he is hearing things. Focusing on the main scenario ahead of him, he and Ron begin their journey around London, and first stop, the hotel to drop off Paul's luggage. Followed by.. Finding a Bueno Nacho. Hmmm Mexican food early this afternoon? Good or bad choice?
"So, they have this restaurant in Australia too?" Paul asks looking around the interior of the restaurant.
"Yeah and it's a worldwide franchise. I'm a long-time member of 7 years. Check it out" Ron shows his membership card of Bueno Nacho. Paul takes it off Ron's hand and checks both sides out. "Good thing you picked up my wallet before at the airport. I carry most of my cash in there." Ron says while getting his membership card back from him.
"You don't have a savings account?" Paul asks Ron raising his eyebrow.
"Never had one. When I was younger I would always store my money in a hidden spot. And take it out whenever I needed some money. Also my parents give me quite a generous allowance." Ron explains to Paul
"I've never had an allowance. Usually my father gives me money a few times a month. So that's some could of allowance I guess. Plus he told me I can use his card with permission."
"That's cool. Maybe one day I should get a card."
"Debit cards are they way to go. Credit cards charge you interest." Paul says.
"But you can buy anything." Ron says.
"The bank can, but you need to pay them, usually in interests. Debit cards are your own money and depending on which bank you use, they give you a small percentage of interest."
"You sound like my best friend KP. She's always saying smart things."
"Well I'm glad she would've gave you that advice too." Paul says to Ron
"Order Number 127." A British accent employee calls out. Ron stands up for the table and approaches the front counter
"Here ya mate. Enjoy" The employee says handing him a tray of food, as Ron carries the tray back towards thee table Paul and himself are sitting.
"Here's your burrito and this for me." Ron says handing Paul his burrito.
"Thanks Ron" Paul says as both teen begin eating their lunch inside an express Bueno Nacho in the City of London. Paul eats his burrito while Paul notices Ron is playing with his food. Looks like he was concocting something with his nachos and his tacos.
"What are you trying to create their Ron?" Paul asks wondering what the blonde teen is doing.
"I've been trying to create a new two in one dish combo for the past few weeks. It's early prototype of this combination, but I called it the Naco." Ron explains his creation with pride.
"Nachos and Tacos in one. Hmm sounds like an interesting concept."
Ron begins to eat some in a piggish manner "Do you want some?" Ron says in a muffled voice.
"No thanks. I'd want you to enjoy your meal. But it does look interesting how you created that 'Naco'."
"Well I've been into food since I was young, I can cook as well. I make a mean Lasagne." Ron says before finishing off his Naco.
"That's awesome that you can cook. Most people just order out or lack in culinary skills."
"I do both." Ron says eating his second Naco
"Figures (Chuckles) You know. You should endorse your creation to this restaurant."
"You really think so?" Ron says not entirely convinced by the idea.
"Sure."
"... I don't know."
"You can make money off your innovation."
"Well... I don't where to start? Do you go to the main office and share your idea? Or go onto TV and hopefully they invest into it?"
"Well I'd go onto their website and enquiry about a new idea or item onto their menu. I can help you out if you want?"
Ron smiled at this, then he realised that something was off about this conversation with this teen.
"Can I ask you... something." Ron started.
"Anything" Paul asks the blonde teen.
"Why are you being so nice to me?" Ron says
"What do you mean?" Paul asked in confusion.
"All my life, people have put me down. I've been bullied, teased and been labelled a loser. Besides KP. You've probably been the only person or guy that's treated me this nicely. Why?" Ron asks trying to avoid from crying.
Paul was frozen at what Ron was saying. This kid has been through bullying and been put down. Despite never attending a public school in the past, he always attended private school, but has had a few share of blows back then. He never really saw the public side of schooling before. It would easily be thousands of students in one big campus. Classes and year levels would have larger numbers. Paul knew that, but to hear that Ron has been bullied, boils his blood. Paul prepares what he's going to say to Ron.
"... Because Ron. I'm a nice guy. I don't give two shits about some kind of popularity chart or clique. If I was popular, I would never bring students down. I'm not going to swoop down to those guy's level... Ever! In fact, I would make the students who have less friends make them feel welcomed and try to eliminate bullying. I don't care if a person is different from the others. Whether it's their hobbies, interests or opinions. I don't judge a person by how they look, I get to know them. I try to have the best company around me as possible. I don't want any negativity or people bring me or my friends down. If someone was bullying my friend or someone I see that I don't know. I would stop it. And people don't care they would attack me too! I fight back."
"But what happens if you get into trouble?" Ron says as he's face looks on in belief at what Paul's saying.
Paul then gets a sudden flashback at the back of his mind.
'What's wrong? You going to cry to your mama? Get up you soft fuc-'
Paul shakes this flashback and says, "I'd rather be suspended than let a person get bullied or harassed on my watch."
"Woah. That's badical." Ron says impressed.
"Some people need to be taught a lesson in life. Once they get out into the real world, they get... 'BOOM!' Cops all around them if they did something like that. They get away with it when they're in school and get a slap on the wrist, because they are underage. Fucking loopholes." Paul says expressing his anger at the justice system.
"So hypothetical speaking. If we went to the same school and I was getting bullied. You'd stand up to them."
"And bring their asses down."
"Thanks man." Ron says smiling and puts a hand on Paul's shoulder.
"No worries Ron, I'm sure KP would have done the same thing too."
"Not really."
Paul freezes and puts his burrito down "What do you mean?"
"Well... I haven't been bullied that much in Junior school, KP would always back me up, but some kids would take my lunch money from time to time. But in particular one girl calls me names, but she is a rival of my best friend. She does it to get under her skin. I... I-I was bullied at summer camp when I was younger. It also was the worst summer of my life."
"Sorry to hear that Ron."
"That's alright, what's done is done. But thanks for being nice to me man. You're a really great guy Paul."
"Thanks Ron, much appreicated man. Here. Take this. Get something for takeaway." Paul hands him a crispy 10 pound note.
Ron accepts the money and looks back at Paul "We've got a long day ahead of us." Paul says smiling.
Montage time
Paul and Ron, go past one of the main landmarks Paul wanted to visit. Stamford Bridge Stadium. Home of Chelsea F.C. Paul takes photos all around the stadium, even getting an exclusive tour of the stadium, seeing the open pitch empty. Truly a dream come true for the brown-haired teen. As they look around suddenly Ron loses his balance and was about to go crashing down the small staircase they climbed up, but before that could happen, Paul quick reflexes save him by grabbing onto his hockey jumper and pulling him up. Ron is back to his original position as he swipes his brow in relief thanking Paul.
Next they are taking pictures of London Bridge on their smartphones. Ron has his phone out and fumbles it before he loses his grip but Paul once again with his quick reflexes saves his phone, from plunging into the river. Ron smiles at this before taking a snapshot of the bridge
They approach a massive observation wheel, Ron calls out 'Ferris Wheel' as the both board their very own cabin capsules. The wheel moved very slowly but both teens had an amazing view of London from up above. During the last few minutes of being on the London Eye, Ron accidentally leans on a switch that says 'Eject' and the capsule gets released into London's river, floating above the surface. Both teens are in shock as Paul stares at Ron as he has a sheepish grin on his face.
They then board a double decker bus, enjoying the view of London before a tunnel approaches them quite quickly and Paul sees this, and begins taps Ron who's busy looking at the view of the left side, looks at Paul as he points in front of them. Both panicked and quickly duck down narrowly avoided being decapitated. After passing the tunnel both teens look up behind them, then look at each other for a few seconds, before they both burst into laughter.
Finally as the sunsets they both enter a candy store, which served candy on plates. While Ron was drinking his Coca-Cola from a Twizzler as a straw and cutting his Twinkie before consuming it. Paul ordered A chocolate cake filled with M and ordered a massive lollipop for the table. Both teens are talking and laughing at a funny joke that was said.
Montage ends
Ron and Paul are currently in a Uber heading towards Ron's new home. They approach the apartment complex and both exit out of the vehicle "Give me two minutes please" Paul says to the driver, before closing the door and walks towards the large building with his hands in his pockets, "Got to admit, the building looks pretty great at night time with all its lights."
"Sure does. Well... I had a fun time today Paul. This day truly brought up my spirit. I still can't get over the fact we got to see Mr Bean!"
"(Laughs) I told you. That was Michael Caine, not Mr Bean. Although it was a nice touch seeing a famous celebrity today."
"Yeah, well Paul. It was great hanging out with today."
"Me too man. We should keep in touch, what socials have you got?" Paul says as he pulls his phone out of his pocket.
"What? You want to keep in contact with me?" Ron says in disbelief.
"Sure, why not? You seem like a really cool, fun guy. I had a great time. If I had gone sightseeing by myself, I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did today with my new friend."
'Di-.. Did he say friend!' Ron thinks excitedly to himself.
"Did you say... friend?" Ron says to Paul
"Of course. So I have Discord, Messenger, Fac-oof" Paul says before being interrupted from Ron's hug. It took a few seconds to register what was happening, but Paul eventually smiled at hugged Ron back patting him on the back. "Thank you so much for today. leaving home was hard for me, this is what I needed. Food, chatting, sightseeing, candy and edible cones"
"Scones"
"Right. Also thanks for teaching me about Britain. This book should come in handy." Ron holds up his book 'England for Dummies' by Donald Olson, "Thanks for buying this for me."
"No problem. Not a book I would purchase myself, but it was your choice in the end. Wouldn't recommend reading it public though."
"Good point PK. Well thanks again." Ron says referring to his new nickname.
'PK? I like it! It has a nice ring to it. Reminds me of Pique the soccer player' Paul thinks
"All good buddy. Oh so you don't forget."
Paul points at his phone indicating for Ron to add his social media profile, "Oh.. that's right. May I"
"Sure" Paul says handing his phone to Ron
After a minute Ron gives back Paul's phone and both hug before saying goodbye to each other. Paul waves to Ron, as he enters inside waving back to Paul.
'What a nice kid, clumsy but really nice person.' Paul thinks to himself before going back into the Uber.
After Paul concluded his sightseeing trip with his newly made friend Ron, he retired to his hotel room, so he could wake up early for the football. He found Ron to be a unique type of character. He also kept on mentioning about his friend KP. Whatever the initials stood for; he really did care for his friend. Even though she would be disappointed that Ron wouldn't be with him during their years of high school. Come to think of it, Paul realised Ron wasn't being direct about his story, except for his bullying story. But lots of people's names were left out. Of course, they got along well and had a great time, but realised Ron was considerably clumsy while sightseeing around London. Also, another thing. He really didn't mention about; Where he lived in America, What KP meant in regards of a name, all he knows that's its a girl and they went on crazy adventures. Whatever that meant. I mean he didn't want to be rude and press for answers about that. He wasn't like that. Once he got to know someone over time and if they trusted him of course, they would be more open and share secrets with each other. On the other hand, Paul was quite different; He was an open book and wasn't hesitant of talking about himself. At least they both Ron and Paul can now communicate amongst each other.
He woke up at 9AM to pack up his belongings. He currently was watching the football on his phone in the 4 Seasons lobby while waiting for his Uber to arrive and drop him off at the airport. He managed to call his mum and friends when he woke up whilst packing. He messaged his dad about the shorten phone call yesterday, he would have been busy either way and kept it short, he would've been working before the football began and would have two and a half hours of peace during the game.
A few hours passed and Paul was currently going past through airport security, waiting inside the airport terminal, the game had concluded, his team won in a tight encounter by 9 points. Once it finished it was time for his flight to Denver to disembark from the airport. More great news was delivered to him. For the second time in a few days, he would be upgraded to first class again. Too bad it was a much shorter flight than the day before. Still got to take advantage of the comfort and service.
'Flyway Airlines. Funny name for an airline' Paul thinks
8 Hours Later
Paul finally landed at Denver International Airport just before 4PM. Paul then disembarks from the plane and begins to walk to the carousel area to pick up his suitcases. He was told that someone would be picking him up and driving him to Middleton. He saw a few people holding up signs and sees a man wearing a white buttoned shirt and a baseball cap, while holding up a sign with the words 'Kanellopoulos'
Paul smiles and begins to walk up to that particular person
"Are you Paul?" The man asks the teen
"Yes I Am." Paul answers smiling.
"Hi I'm Tony DeAngelo, your driver" He puts his hand out.
"Pleasure to meet you." Paul shakes the man's hand.
"Here let me give you a hand with your luggage." Tony offers.
"Take this one please, I'll take care of the other one, thanks."
Both of them roll the luggage towards the parking lot of the airport. Paul comes across a nice looking black Bentley sedan.
Paul enters in the car, followed a few seconds after Tony enters the driver's seat.
"Nice car Tony!"
"Thanks, It's a hire car. Got to keep it clean for lots of clients. Would you like a bottle of water?" Tony asks.
"Yes please." Paul asks nicely, before Tony hands him a bottle.
Tony begins the long road trip to Middleton. Upon exiting the airport to merge onto the highway, Paul begins to listen to some music on his headphones while sightseeing the surroundings within the vehicle. One particular song comes into his mind when driving down a highway in America.
'Whoo'
'Mm, yeah'
'Life's like a road that you travel on'
'When there's one day here and next day gone'
'Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand'
'Sometimes you turn your back to the wind'
'There's a world outside every darkened door'
'Where blues won't haunt you anymore'
'Where the brave are free and lovers soar'
'Come ride with me to the distant shore'
'We won't hesitate'
'To break down the garden gate'
'There's not much time left today, yeah.
'Life is a highway'
'I wanna ride it all night long'
'If you're going my way'
'Well, I wanna drive it all night long'
Paul listened to this song, as it was from his childhood watching his favourite Disney Pixar film 'Cars', truly reflecting his current situation. Life is a highway as the lyrics say. Life is a long stretch of road, which can be thousands of miles long. In his case Kilometres. But on that highway, there's lots of twists, turns and bumps along the way. Similar to what he's experienced with this life changing program in his life. Yesterday was a great start, talking and spending most of the day with a teenager the same age as him. It felt great. Paul wishes that it could be easy in America. He would soon find out when he starts school.
Who knew a children's film could reflect so much about life in one song. It really sets the tone.
Paul decides takes off his headphones and decides to engage in some conversation with his driver.
"So Tony, do you know anything about Middleton?" Paul asks curiously.
"Hmm. Oh well, I live in Denver actually. I do go through Middleton sometimes with the family. I've even got some high-end clients that live in Upperton, which is North of Middleton."
"Huh, You'd think they would name it one big city."
"It wasn't always like that. In the late 40s, the whole town was called Middleton. Then one day the council decided to split the town into three cities. Lowerton, Middleton and Upperton, to create on large Tri-City area. Basically in the name itself, the towns represents the social class of most people living in those suburbs. Politics eh, you never win against them. Funny enough that whole area is considered to be a larger city than Denver itself!" Tony exclaims.
"You don't say, In that case it sounds more like democracy. What else do you know?"
"Well, I've heard that there's a girl living in that town, she goes by the name of Kim Possible. She fights crime and takes down bad guys from around the world."
"Woah! That sounds awesome. A bit hard to believe, but wow." Paul says in an astonished tone
"Yeah and get this. She's still in high school!"
"Really! I wonder how she keeps up with her homework and attendance."
"I don't know man. But she's does these missions with her sidekick. What was his name again" Tony says scratching his chin "Was it Don? No no no. Hmm Con? Maybe it was Kon with a K." Tony still trying to figure out the guy's name.
While his driver was thinking Paul was on his phone. While on his phone he was thinking about what the driver said about this 'Kim Possible' character.
"I can't believe a young girl is taking down crime. Good on her!" Paul thinks as he praises the young teenage girl.
Paul wasn't the type of person that he had to see it, to believe it. He believed in most things in life, due to facts and evidence. But this one was quite extraordinary to hear about this. Hopefully one day Paul meets this person one day. Maybe she even went to the same school as him. But that would be pushing mere coincidence at this point.
After 40 minutes of driving they finally arrived into a neighbourhood and park right in front of a double storey house. Both of them jumped out of the car and examined the house from the road.
"Well. Here we are. (Fingers snap) Aaron. That was his name!" Tony blurted out
"Hmm ph cool. Well thanks again for the ride Tony."
"Anytime, oh by the way. Here's my card. If you ever need a ride, call me 30 minutes in advance." Tony hands him his business card, "Well kid, it was nice knowing you. Good luck in school. And. Welcome to America my friend." Tony says to the teen with his arm spread out like that guy on Wolf of Wall Street for dramatic effect.
"Thanks Tony. Good luck with the driving business."
"Thanks. You need any help with your bags?"
"I've got it covered, thanks anyway." Paul reassures the man.
Tony thanks him again for the company as well and jumps back into his car before driving off into the distance.
Paul wheels his luggage to the front door. He checks underneath the welcome mat for an envelope that would be there. He sees the A3 size envelope and he opens it up. Inside he finds a set of keys, a garage remote, another envelope but smaller and a A4 letter. He opens the front door of the house, upon opening he steps past the threshold of his new home for the next few years. He scouts the house, to see all the rooms and bathrooms. He notices that the house is fully furnished with beds, couches, chairs, tables, nightstands, lamps, fridge, plates, cutlery, pots, pans and tupperware surprisingly. All ready installed WI-FI! Even a TV with a DVD player! Oh goodie!
In all honesty, the house was way too big for one person to be staying in. You could fit at least 6 people within this house. He found the largest bedroom in the house and begins to take all of his belongings inside that bedroom. He takes off his jacket before taking a seat on the edge of the bed coming to thoughts about the house and staring into the wall. He finals decides to rummage through the envelope and read what the letter says. He straight away notices emblems and logos from Australia.

Paul finishes reading the letter. He then stares again, but this time into the window looking as far as he could see in silence. Realising that he couldn't handle the long unbearable silence, Paul picks up his jacket and locks up the house, deciding to have a look around the town.
He begins noticing the really great work in regards of the architecture of the houses around him. His house had some really great interior. It was pretty opened space, compared to his home back in Melbourne. Very modernised town for being nowhere near the costal area. With a hint of the town having a retro influenced aesthetic. Similar to how Melbourne has it's heritage overlay buildings that the façade can't be torn down.
He begins to explore the town. He notices a few shops and stores that he wouldn't particular find back at home. He actually saw a Bueno Nacho store, not like the one in London, where it was a shop fit out alongside many other stores surrounding, but this store had quite an interesting design to it. The one in London was an express shop. While this one had a white Sombrero-shaped roof and it had a long pole with a taco on top of it. And of course had a few features that would resemble a Mexican restaurant. Like the cactus or succulents for example. He was a bit hungry and wouldn't mind getting a burrito. He actually kind of liked the food that Ron showed him yesterday. He actually ate out a lot, but maintains his physique with exercise
He enters into the place, notices the Mexican theme interior and the music within the restaurant. It was quite empty being after 5PM on a Saturday evening. Probably people are still on holidays or probably doing something else. After all, it's still Summer Break. In fact town seemed a bit empty for a Saturday evening. He saw a few people there and there. They looked like nice people.
Paul walks to the front on the restaurant as he is greeted by an employee.
"Welcome to Bueno Nacho, home of the seven pound burrito. May I take your order?" said the brown-haired, slightly paunch freckled teen wearing an orange shirt. He had a name tag that said 'Ned' and he was also the manager.
"Hey, how you going. Can I please get a chicken burrito. With.. Actually what's in the chicken burrito?" Paul asks. When In London, he didn't want to be picky when ordering with someone else. By himself, ho ho. That's a different story.
"Well our classic burrito contains rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, beans, salsa and pico de gallo"
"Okay, I'll order that, but no beans, salsa or pico de gallo please. Also half the rice and instead can you put chipotle mayo as the sauce please. Also a bottle of water. Thanks."
"No problem. That will be 12.95 for today sir." The teen says.
"On card please" Paul says as he taps his card on machine and easy as 1,2,3. Transaction was approved. Paul waited for his food, which took about 5 minutes before a bell was heard.
"Order number 17 is ready." The teen announces.
"Thanks" Paul says as he grabs the foil wrapped burrito.
"And have a my bueno day!"
"Tu tambien Ned" Paul responds back to the teen. Ned eyes widened slightly before a smile appears across his face, "Thanks."
Paul takes a seat in a booth and begins to unwrap the foil to eat his food. He pulls out his phone and does his usual activities on his iPhone. News, reading or watching any available sport. After he finished his burrito Paul finishes off the rest of his water. Paul decides to order another burrito, but this time for go.
"Hey there again. May I take your order?"
"Same as before please, but this time no water, thanks."
You got it. That will be 10.95." Ned says, as Paul pulls out his card to indicate his payment.
While waiting for his food, Paul decides to strike up a conversation with Ned.
"Busy today or slow day?" Paul asks.
"Well it was busy during the lunch rush earlier today. We had one guy who used to come in here all the time but he left town a few days ago. He used to come here everyday."
"Woah. Talk about loyalty. I was going to ask you if you can tell me about this town. I just recently moved here and I really don't know much about it from a residents point of view." Paul asks the supposedly nerdy teen
"Oh, of course. Where you're originally from?"
"Australia."
"Gee that's pretty far. You ever had the Bueno Nacho there before?"
"Funny enough, yesterday someone told me about it, but I've never seen one personally before. Except for yesterday. I admit, its pretty good. Similar to Guzman Y Gomez."
"Oh I've heard of that place. They opened one up in Chicago recently."
"Oh that's great. I thought it was Australian only."
"Yeah, but back to Middleton. It's a pretty great place. I grew up here. It's a pretty chilled, sometimes you get the mishaps around the town, but overall nice place to live."
Paul didn't get what he meant by mishaps, but continues to ask other questions.
"What about the high school?"
"The high school is just a 10 minute walk from here. You go up this road, take a left and boom. The school is right there on the right side of the road." Ned says pointing out the direction of the school.
"Middleton High School?"
"That's the one." Ned says.
"You go to school or you graduated already."
"Graduated 3 years ago. Full time manager here at Bueno Nacho number 582."
Paul could have sworn that number sounded familiar. Perhaps he saw it somewhere.
"So are you a Junior or Senior?"
Paul eyes lit up at this question and proceeds to give a cheeky grin "Would you believe me, if I told you I was a Freshman?"
Ned's eyes widened and was hesitant to give a straight forward answer "Yeennnyyyeeeeenoooooo?" Ned says, not entirely convened by his answer.
"Well, I wont confuse you. I'm a Freshman."
"Woah, you look and act so mature."
"Thanks"
Paul and Ned proceeded to talk for another 10 minutes. Both sharing their interests and hobbies. Paul learnt that Ned was a big fan of Robots, D and a show called 'Dexter'. Paul didn't have a lot of common interests compared to Ned. But both loved technology. Paul was very open to other people's interests. He didn't want come off rude. Plus you don't know if you haven't tried it, you might end up liking it in the end. But one thing that they had in common was that they both played Pokémon Go. Although Paul was a supreme player compared to casualness of Ned. Besides he has a full time job. Paul didn't even worked yet.
"Well Ned, it was good talking to you. Thanks for the food. I'll send you a gift tonight on the game." Paul says referring to the in game gift on Pokémon Go
"No problem. It was great to have this conversation. By the way. Take this." Ned hands Paul a black card.
"Is this the Bueno Nacho membership card." Paul takes the card from Ned's hand.
"How did you know that?" Ned says surprised.
"I've seen one previously, plus that big sign on the wall." Paul points to a massive, bright and unmissable sign.
"Oh, well its on the house. You seem like a really nice guy"
"Gee thanks Ned. Much appreciated." Paul says as he shakes Ned's hand before Paul exits the restaurant with a takeaway bag.
Continuing to see the shops and other hidden treasures within this town on such short notice, Paul declares that he needs to find a supermarket to stock up at his house. He wouldn't be finding a Coles or Woolworths any time soon. Instead he found a massive Wal-ma.. Hold that thought. A Smarty Mart in this case. It was massive place. Even bigger than Bunnings Warehouse. Did they even sell produce or dairy products? Oh well. It's getting a bit late anyway, he might as well check inside anyway. Paul walks past the automatic sliding doors.
"Howdy and welcome to Smarty Mart, where smart shoppers shop smart ! Need a map?" A guy says in a friendly tone and had a name tag 'Oscar'.
"No th... Did you say map? How big is this place? Vatican City?" Paul looks around and tries to see how far down this massive warehouse building ends.
" (Laughs) No. This store is 50,000 square meters big and is the biggest original supercentre store in the world. This is also the home town of Smarty Mart."
"Okay so that's 1/10 of that country. Do you guys sell any produce, dairy products or any frozen foods?"
"Well sell everything. From cars to ships. Marshmallow to 100KG of marshmallows. Kodak Film to New Coke . No Illegal weapons here sorry."
"No, there's no need for that. Did you say you sell ships?" Suddenly an idea popped up in Paul's mind. "You guys sell electric scooters?"
"Sure we do! Aisle T-"
"Branded. Electric scooters." Paul says but this time more specific.
"...Ninebot or Xiaomi?" The clerk asks.
Paul smiles at his response. "Ninebot please."
"Aisle Twenty" Oscar says with a smile.
"Thank you. I might actually take that offer for that map please." Paul grabs one of the maps from the clerk, "Also a trolley."
"Aisle Seven"
"No I mean... Oh I meant a shopping cart" Paul says getting confused with the different slangs.
"Oh I see what you meant. Certainly, I'll grab one for you." Oscar says walking towards the carts.
"Thanks"
After several hours of shopping at this magnificent wonder store Paul begins to go towards the checkout area. He has a cart full of different food groups, plus a few technological gadgets. Some were a necessity for school. While others were for his enjoyment and casual leisure. He was disappointed that he couldn't find any specific parts in regards to his computer. He would have to scout for a computer store within town. It was no rush honestly. But the mega store did provide a great number of things that, back home you would have to go into at least 4 different stores to get all the stuff he bought tonight. And don't get him started on the prices! They're too good to be true.
"Hello there sir. Have we been busy tonight." The cashier greets the teen and refers to the large amount of items inside his cart.
"Yes I have. Is this store only located in America?"
"No. We have stores around each continent."
"This is a very interesting concept of a store. I mean it's super convenient to have items all in one place. I wonder how this company did that." Paul says while the lady scans all his items.
"Well kid there's one word. Volume. And lots of it." A mysterious voice come from the side of Paul
"And you own this store sir?" Paul says to the man in the suit.
"Own? (Hardy chuckle) How about. The whole company!" The bald headed man exclaimed before echoing throughout the massive store.
"Company"
"Company"
"Company"
"Compan-"
"Sorry sir, someone must have left the Echo Device Prop on." A random employee switches off the toy.
"Martin Smarty. Owner and Founder of Smarty Mart and Club Banana." The man introduces himself to the younger teen.
"Paul Kanellopoulos. Apparent owner of a education school back at home." Paul says truthfully about the school part. He in fact did have a school under his name, thanks to his dad.
"So I hear that you like the concept and mechanism of the store."
"Absolutely sir. This is a revolutionary store. I would say about your competitors but I don't want to hinge a bright light to your brilliance."
Paul was being sincere and honest about this store, he never seen anything like it before.
"Well that's nice of you to say that. You've been busy tonight?" Martin says referring to the items in his cart.
"I just moved into town, I needed to buy some groceries and I saw all your other items within this store. Back at home I would have to go at least 2 different stores to complete my shopping."
"Well... In that case, here you go" Martin throws a small heft book towards the teen.
Paul catches the book which is revealed to be a coupon book, "Gee thanks mister" Paul says smiling.
"You're welcome. Now I must get ready for the grand opening of the 97th store in Wyoming tomorrow afternoon. Have a good evening sir." Mr Smarty says before entering a door with the words ' attached to the door.
"Why do I have the sudden urge to give that man photos of Spiderman." Paul says out loud to himself.
The keys unlocked to the house, Paul was lifting up some serious load with the bags. He's mum would say don't lift heavy stuff, you'll have problems with your back in the future. Paul gently placed the bags on the floor, then locked up the door behind him and began to pack his groceries into the cupboards. Realising that he was quite tired and couldn't be bothered to sort out the rest of his items, he then retired immediately to his bedroom and lied down onto his bed.
It had been a long day for the teenager, didn't sleep on his flight from London and he's completely wrecked with all the walking around he did today and heavy lifting for the duration home. Luckily it was only a 20 minute walk.
He began to get changed into his PJs and climbed into his bed. He took of his watch but checked to see the time.
'9:18PM.'
'Gee. Not even 10!' Paul thought.
He reached to get his phone and placed it onto the night stand. This is quite early even for him, but was absolutely tired. He usually would sleep after midnight when he doesn't have school. Even sometimes early in the overnight times of 2 or 3AM, especially if he was able to watch the soccer late at night. But now he can watch it as it would appear sometime early in the morning. But Football back at home would be late at night when is living in America for the time being. Oh well, he would have to check that out, when the time comes.
Paul slipped into the bed sheets and leaned his head against the soft pillow and began to close his eyes.
'A few more sleeps until school starts'
Within a matter of minutes, Paul was fast asleep.

He always demands photos of Spiderman to put on the front page of the newspaper to show his a menace, while he had him right under his nose the entire time. Hence the reference Paul made after hearing Mr. Smarty speak to him, the sudden urge to give the man Spiderman photos.
