Episode Four: How to Catch Thief Pt. 2

After formally being welcome to the Moon Pack Tribe, Sonic and Nico still had to be acknowledged by their cousin Silverfang. The only way for this to happen was for Sonic to face his cousin in a battle of super forms. The blue hedgehog at first refuses but after seeing him going into xaural form; Sonic gives in and fights. Meanwhile, back in the city, Leo and his crew learn that they won the number one spot in the top one hundred restaurants from around the world. Sadly, their victory was short lived when they find out that Acorn has somehow stolen the deed to the Grill. Sally goes there to gloat, and that she plans to shut down the diner getting revenge on Whis and Leo's family. Lewis learns that Acorn was able to pull this off after getting help from a notorious dark hacker named The Banker. GUN is now involve in order to arrest the hacker and continue to build their case against Acorn. During the briefing, Shadow proposes a plan to use this incident to set a trap for the Black Rose Ninja. At the same time, the members of DEDSEC are aware that Acorn has a connection to the evil hacker, they must work quickly to save the diner. The team decides that they must act and plan a way to expose Acorn's actions to the world. Sonic and Nico are brought up to speed on the events unfolding, and they decide to act. Three factions are now on the board set and ready to play, but the real question is: who will win? Find out today on Neo Sonic Underground.

Manic sits at the dining room table finishing up the latest proposal. After he puts his approval signature on the pad, Kell joins the green hedgehog at the table while saying, "Hey bro, how's the ruling life treating you?"

Manic smirks, "Much better now, I am really getting the hang of this. We finally made a dent in that mountain of work. How 'bout on your end?"

Kell gives a thumbs up then says, "Kenna's workload was nothing compared to the work on Mobius. Although, Kana is getting shafted by all the meetings from GUN and other security divisions. Luckily, our new house is right on schedule. Where's Sonia?"

Manic stands up while stacking the seven pads that he needs to turn in, "She's in bro's office in a meeting with a guy named Edward P. Otter of Otter Transport Express. He along with ten others are bidding for becoming the first official cargo transit."

Kell stands up and walks with the magic user to the elevator, "Humm… that name sounds familiar… WAIT! Eddy Otter! Oh boy, Midna told me about him! He's known to be a playboy with a low opinion about a woman's worth, or he would say 'a woman should know her role in life is to obey a man'. Now bro knowing that temper our sister has, do you think she will be able to contain herself if the guy says something fucked up?"

They get into the elevator, and ride it up as Manic taps his chin thinking on Kell's question. "Come on bro, give Sonia more credit than that. It's not like she'll go flying off the edge if someone says the thing wrong to her."

"Remember how Nico and she nearly went at it in the Queen's office?"

"That's just sibling bickering." The elevator reaches the selected floor and Manic continues as they walk out to head to the office, "Besides, what would she do? Throw a chair at him if she gets mad." Suddenly a loud sound of smashing glass echoes throughout the floor. Manic and Kell rush to the source then bust into Sonic's office.

A few minutes earlier outside the hotel on the street, Nico, Kenna, and Silverfang appear in a flash of light on the sidewalk, but not even a second after they arrive, the silver fur wolf holds his hands over his mouth and makes a mad dash for the closest trash can. In an audible heave, the wolf empties his gut with Nico and Kenna laughing in the background. Some bystanders look at the warrior, and are waved off by either Nico or Kenna. A minute or two pass before he pulls his head out. "What the fuck Nico?! What the hell is going on?"

Nico says while still laughing, "Sorry, I should have warned you ahead of time. Most who travel by chaos control for the first time get extreme nausea after their first trip. It took me nearly forty trips before I got used to it. Hehe!"

Kenna follows up with, "Don't worry, it gets better after each trip. I still get a little sea-sick every now and again."

He wipes his muzzle before looking up from the trash can. The tribal wolf takes a step back towards the others, but he suddenly feels his legs give away. Nico catches him before he falls and is amazed that the smaller framed werehog his able to hold him up with great ease. "Thanks for that." After a few seconds, he is able to regain strength in his legs and is able to stand up on his own. Looking down at Nico and asks, "How are you able to transform yourself into such a little body? I struggle with just holding seven and half feet!"

"Believe it or not with lots of training, but every here and now, I slip up and revert back to my normal size. Anyway, let's head in. I have a feeling Sonia and them are going to tackle us the moment we are inside. On top of that, I bet the workload is getting to them."

"Oh come on, it's not like they haven't done management work before. They're not going to destroy the office because they get fed up with the work," Kenna comments.

Just as Nico opens his mouth to make a comment, the sound of breaking glass rings out from above. Everyone looks up to see glass and a large desk come flying out of the high rise hotel. "AH SHIT! EVERYONE CLEAR OUT!" Nico orders.

"No time! Use your shield Nico!" Kenna states while motioning people to gather around them.

Nico jumps in the center ready to put up his Werehog Shield, but the broken glass and desk glow green; then as if someone has hit the rewind button, everything goes in reverse. The trio along with all the other witnesses watch everything go back and repair its self. In less than a minute, the desk is back inside and the window whole again. Nico and Kenna look at each other for a minute then rush inside followed by Silverfang. The front desk manager, employees, and other guest are in a panic hearing the chaos coming from above. Nico quickly feels Sonia's aura erupting as they make it to the stairwell. "I'll meet you at the top!" Nico exclaims. He crouches down then explodes upward taking off. Kenna jumps up three sets of stairs then bounces off the side then up another three sets. Silverfang mimics her move following her up.

Manic has his arms stretched out using his magic to put the office back to normal while Kell talks with the fuming hedgehog princess. Once he sets the desk back down, Manic gives a relieving exhale, "Damn! Now, that was close. A second later, someone outside would be having a bad day." He turns around to see the cowardly otter standing on the opposite side of the room with his back against the wall.

Seeing Sonia under Kell's control Otter recklessly exclaims, "That female is crazy!"

His comment draws Sonia's full attention once more on him. Just as Nico comes bursting through the door. "NICO!" everyone exclaims seeing him.

"What the fuck is going on?! Are we under attack?!" the werehog questions looking around.

"Chill bro, no one is after us." Manic states.

Nico looks at his sister seeing the angry look on her face. "Sonia, what's got you burnt up?" She only points at the man off to the side.

The business man brushes off his coat, straightens his tie, then makes his way over to Nico with his hand extended, "Prince Nico Werehog-Hedgehog, it's a pleasure to meet you, in person, Edward P. Otter of Otter Transport Express."

Nico gives a suspect look then responds with, "Yea, what did you do to piss off our sister?"

He gives an innocent pose, "Nothing your majesty." Nico gives a raised eyebrow making him continue with, "I just impressed upon her, that she should have a husband planned out for her. I generously offered that I would have my son marry her…"

"TELL THE OTHER HALF FUCKER!" Sonia shouts with venom dripping from her fangs drawing everyone's attention.

Just as quickly, they all look back at Otter waiting to hear is response. "It wasn't anything. She just taking my words in the wrong context and blowing it out of proportion."

"Then why don't you tell us what you said, and we can tell if Sonia is blowing it out of proportion," Kenna states sensing that he is hiding something.

The business man gives an annoyed glance at the white wolf and quickly hears, "I recommend that you talk before you find yourself that next thing flying out that window," Kell fires off.

"I have learned and feel that discussing matters of great importance and profit shouldn't be handle by women, so I recommended that your majesty and I should be the ones handling these negotiations. Also once she has married my son, she will handle the roles that a proper woman should handle," the man says with unweaving pride. Nico is only able to bust out laughing hearing his statement making everyone but Otter look at the werehog with discontent. "See, you clearly understand your majesty. As you all should, women have no place in matters like these."

Nico wipes a tear from his eye and quickly adds, "I'm not laughing because I agree with you dumbass. I'm cracking up because I am amaze that Sonia didn't throttle your ass the second you opened your fucking mouth!" Everyone's expression softens while Otter's face becomes overly soured by Nico's words. He starts to rebut, yet Nico cuts him off by asking, "Sis, you're in charge of this negotiation, what say you?"

Sonia looks at the shocked man with a clear display of distress, "Given his character and proposal, I will say, HELL TO THE NO!"

"What?!" Otter fires off, "You can't! Prince Nico, you can't, no, I will not allow this childish, immature, weak ass b..."

Nico and the others all give Otter a glare so frightful that he stops in mid-sentence. Nico says in a tone dripping with blood in each word after transforming back into his eight foot normal form, "I dare you. Please just give us the excuse needed to finish you. Otherwise, leave and you won't face a nightmare where there is no waking up from." Otter cries while running out the office, after seeing his complete destruction in Nico's burning emerald eyes. Just as quickly as he left, Nico smiles at everyone in his happy go lucky attitude. "Well, that was a really good way to get back to work. Right bro?" Sonic smirks shaking his head.

Manic walks over to his bulkily bro then says, "Good to have you back sibs."

Nico smiles back, "Good to be home, so what have you two been up to while we were gone." Manic and Sonia explain everything they have been doing while covering for them. After getting the big things out of the way, Nico has transform back into his smaller form then states, "Awesome job you two!"

"Yeah, but I don't know how you and Sonic can handle all this mess by yourselves? I remember mom throwing all that work at you back home just to teach you a lesson but this shit is crazy," Sonia complains.

Nico walks over to his desk activates the computer pulling up the latest data from Cortana. The werehog shakes his head seeing the long list of unfinished tasks. "And it looks like you only managed to scratch the tip of the iceberg." Manic and Sonia rush over to look at the screen in disbelief, and they nearly fall out seeing the list. "Don't worry we'll have this hammered out by the end of the week."

Mika finally speaks up with, "I'm sorry sire, but Queen Aleena just recently left direct orders that your siblings are to handle those affairs. Prince Sonic and you have a far greater issue to handle along with filling out you school enrollment papers. The same goes for you, Captain Adair." She then looks at Silverfang handing him a pad, "Her Majesty has also informed me that you will be attending the same school as your cousins. Please fill out this form and return it to me as soon as you can, please. Prince Nico, do you plan on working in your office for the rest of the day? If so I'll have the meetings moved to a better conference room on the lower level of the hotel."

The werehog looks at his computer reading more of the upcoming things for him then says, "Yes Ms. Ashford, sorry sibs, but I think my office is seen enough action for one day. If there's something you need help with on the current paperwork or with the task that you have, just let me know and I'll do what I can to help. Silverfang why don't you introduce yourself to everyone and will meet up for dinner." He nods yes and then follows everyone out of the office Ms. Ashford closes the door. ~Well, that was a lucky break. All we have to do is fill out our school application, and then we can start focusing on our main issue.~

Nico works on the paperwork as Sonic appears hovering next to him, ~Okay, so what are we going to do? How we going to protect Amy and the rest of DEDSEC? Like you said we can't just go barging out there and say 'hey were going to go protect you from Shadow's crazy plan to capture you' without him seeing us. Any ideas bro?~

Nico gives a sideways glance for a moment; then he goes back to working on the paperwork, ~our first step should be to come up with a plan on how to conceal who we are. After that, we can figure out what our next move will be. Although, Shadow's plan is completely nuts, but he might be trying to go for two birds and one stone.~

~You'll get no argument from me, but it still puts too many lives in danger especially Amy's.~ Sonic sees Nico on the last page of his application noting, ~Wow bro you finish that fast!~

~Well, it wasn't too difficult it asked for some general information. Although for our classes and everything I'm thinking that rule go ahead and take some of the classes that we need to help make us better engineers and heroes and rulers, but I am so definitely taking weightlifting and maybe I can join the football team.~

~Now that you mention it, I think there's a couple of clubs that I would like to join as well. Since you are all done, lets sync the computer to our room talk with Cortana and come with a plan to solve this mess.~

Nico agrees and after sending the information to Ms. Ashford. He heads for the door just before he opens it, the door opens revealing a smiling Aleena carrying a small bag. Without thinking twice Nico quickly rushes over and hugs his mother and says, "Mom is good to see you! How are things? Are you finish with your trip? More importantly did you bring us any souvenirs?"

The purple hedgehog giggles for a second as she pats Nico on the Head, "No, I'm not done yet. We're actually in Greece right now and since it is nighttime and I have a little free time, I decided I would drop in and see how you kids are doing. From what I'm hearing from Mika, you been doing a pretty good job at handling your duties except for when you took off the way you did."

"Sorry mom but we had a great lead on dad and finding out about his tribe that he came from, where he was born, and everything; you can't blame us for dropping everything in making a mad dash there can you?"

"I could," she starts off as she walks further in to the office closing the door behind her and making her way over to the window to look outside, "but seeing that the two of you have been taking care of so much, I can let it slide. Just don't do that again okay." Both Sonic and Nico nod their heads in agreement with her as she reaches into her bag while saying, "Very good. Now as for souvenirs, I haven't brought those with me, but I did bring you a gift that I was planning on giving you a little bit before I left back for Mobius. However after thinking about it, I think its best that I go ahead and get this to you now." She pulls her hand out of the bag producing a crystal sphere on a silver stand. She hands it to Nico, and when he looks inside he sees a tropical beach resort. It takes him a minute, but when it dawns on the werehog on what the object is, and before he can say what it is Aleena states, "Yes, it is your own training resort. Like the one I have, I trained you, your brothers, and sister. This one is your own personal version. It has everything that you need along with some other personal things inside. Also I had Cyrus give you a workstation area, so Cortana can work in there with you along with any other type of crazy inventions you like to cook up. And they can materialize out here in the real world. The time differential is this for every three hours in the real world is one week inside your resort. After three hours, the resort will kick you out and will take one hour to recharge before you can go in once thing more. Relatively speaking in twenty-four hours you can gets six weeks of training. Also I had Oracle put a time lock on you, so you will grow in strength, yet you will age just a tad bit but only equivalent to what's would be here in the real world for six hours." Seeing look in her son's eyes she knew exactly what they were thinking, but to keep up the persona she then says, "Well boys when you think?" They only hug her while saying thank you over and over and over again; then Nico gives a quick wave goodbye before rushing out towards their private room. "Well Emeraldfang, I made my choice I just hope that those two can pull it off and not make me regret it."

Nico set ups the training resort next to Cortana's main station. Sonic, Nico, and Cortana place their hands on the symbol on top of the crystal. In a flash, three of them are transported to a luscious seaside resort that spans were miles and miles ahead. Behind them they see ache mashing of the different landscapes from the mountainous tundra to the sun drum desert. Sonic takes the first step forward onto the boardwalk leading to the resort building feeling the cool relaxing when blowing across the scene. Nico, on the other hand, steps onto the sandy beach and feels a slight change in his body weight and the gravity around him. Quickly getting used to it the werehog makes his way over to the water and runs his hands just close enough to the crashing waves on the beach. Satisfied of what they're seeing the three of them head into the resort and find the personal laboratory with an open view of the ocean. Cortana interfaces with the main computer while Sonic and Nico sit in the hover chairs relaxing just for a few minutes before they start their in-depth conference. Nico is the first to say, "Alright good news we have the resort and we have the necessary time and resources needed to come up with a plan to stop Amy and DEDSEC before they do something completely stupid. So now the major question is this, how the hell are we going to stop them?"

Sonic is reclining in his chair then glances over at Nico while saying, "I've been thinking about that for a little bit even after we left the village. Do you remember those comics and some of those movies I was watching while on the flight?" Nico gives a questionable expression, so Sonic explains, "Okay, there were two movies that we were watching one was called Iron Man and the other one was called Batman the Dark Knight."

Cortana finishes her interface and computer set up before she turns around and says, "What does that have to do with this whole situation Sonic?"

"Alright so check it out, in Batman the superhero is just an ordinary person with a secret identity. In public he's known as Bruce Wayne PLAYBOY a philanthropist yada yada yada. However when he goes out at night or sometimes the day to fight crime, he becomes Batman by changing his suit, his voice, and using gadgets to fight the criminals. On the same note, Iron Man follows nearly the same premise except for Tony Stark, he pretty much lets everyone know that he's Iron Man, but he uses devices and gadgets to beat the badniks," Sonic tells.

Nico has his arms folded listening to his twin brother; then he questions, "How does this relate to anything that were doing bro?"

The blue AI steps in first answering, "Wait, I see where he is going with this and how it is related. Queen Aleena made it abundantly clear that we are not allowed to interfere in certain affairs of this world. Yet I see how Sonic's idea is placing this situation. Sonic and you, as the princes of the Mobian Empire, can't interfere with the affairs of this world, but if you had a secret identity and became a superhero like what happened in the movies then you can do whatever you need to protect Amy."

Nico let's what she said process in his head for a few minutes then stands up and walks over to the window tapping his chin. "I see the game plan now; we need to create something that hides who we are allows us to fight without us using our powers and most importantly allows us to protect and intercede when and where we're needed."

The hedgehog brother snaps his fingers saying, "Now, you get it bro. So what type of costume should we make to give us the ability to fight?"

Cortana quickly expresses while opening a floating screen, "Okay, we need first is a template to design your super suit." She starts typing bringing up a list of key items with a scan shape of both Nico and Sonic's body. "It's also going to need gadgets that will ensure you an edge in the fight. Now that I think about it, maybe it would be best we use the Iron Man template as a starting base."

"I like the way you're thinking Cortana, but we need something else as well that will completely throw off any of our pursuers and especially our family members."

Nico quickly expresses, "Why not take up the persona of a wolf?" Sonic and Cortana give him a blank eyed stare not able to follow his logic, but he quickly follows up with, "Look at it this way, if we look like a wolf it will completely give us an edge. One, they won't suspect that a werehog or a hedgehog in the suit. Two, we can use some of the fighting techniques we picked up from the tribe to beat Shadow and them if we have to fight."

Sonic rocks back and forth in his chair thinking about Nico's proposal, "I don't know bro; won't that draw attention to the Moon Pack tribe as it is? Plus, let's not forget Silverfang is here, he would easily recognize Moon Wolf Fang's style fighting before anybody else. Let along he would know that the only three people besides him that know that fighting style are Kenna and us."

"That also draws another issue as well," Cortana brings up while still swiftly setting up the design for the new suit, "When you guys go gallivanting off in this outfit, people are going to start asking questions on where was Sonic and Nico at when Black Rose Ninja is saved by this unknown vigilante."

"In all honesty, I came up with a solution for that," Sonic boasts. "We do like we did when we had to go visit Amy the first time. Nico and I split and whoever's in the suit at the time pretty much does the fighting. While, the other one at the right time goes around making sure that he is seen, and that way we can have an alibi all set up. Kenna, Kell, or anybody else around sees one of us here; then we have eyewitnesses to us being there. Thereby throwing the scent off of us."

"As crazy as that sounds, that's a pretty good way to set up an alibi. I'm impressed you really gave this some thought Sonic," Cortana adds as she finishes the first stage of the internal workings for the super suit. "Alright that does it most of the internal work is complete and the engineering set up is pretty straightforward all we have to do now is come up with the name for this person, a skin type, and choose what attacks that you will be able to use along with defensive gadgets."

Nico swiftly turns around and then walks over towards Cortana and the keyboard, "leave this to me I have the perfect idea." The werehog swiftly starts working on the computer designing up the outfit for their new super suit. The hours seem to swiftly go by as the three of them continue to debate, work on, and flesh out the last things they want and will need for this suit.

What seems like only mere minutes, over five days have passed since they started designing the suit. One night they stop working and sit out on the open door patio starting up into the amazing scenery above their head. What seem like just a passing fancy turned into a fun game of naming the different stars, nebulas, and other wondrous things that fill the night sky. After about three and half hours, what could be related to midnight in resort area Cortana goes the bed leaving the two brothers by themselves. Sonic says while looking up at a swirling blue nebula, "Why are we doing this?"

"Isn't that obvious," Nico comments looking at a pair shooting stars racing in the sky. "We made a promise that we would protect her from anybody that would bring harm to her."

"I know that, but why we make a promise to a girl we've never met before and in some cases doesn't even want our help? It feels like were risking so much and we don't even know why."

Nico sits up looking at the dark mirror like sea reflecting the stars, "It's a good question bro. In all truth, it's completely idiotic what we're doing. I mean shit we're going all out and even building this new outfit just so that we can fight by her side. I can't think of any good reason to do it, but…" The werehog puts his hand over his heart feeling a driving force within, "like we sang in New York this voice inside drives me to run and fight. The same can be said about us wanting to help Amy and protect her. You know what I mean?"

Sonic moves his hand over his heart hearing that same driving force and says, "Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I feel that same force as well. Nico, I want to share something with you. It's only a theory, but that girl from our dreams I honestly think Amy has some relation to her. I don't know how, but something was telling me, while we were holding her in our arms and escaping the city together, it was right. It was like, we were completed with her."

"I felt the same way and we were falling after that fight with Eggman's robot. I heard her, and she sounded exactly like Amy when she told us to get our shit together in so many words," Nico smiles looking at his brother. Sonic returns the look and he continues with, "Maybe if we can unlock the secret that she's holding within her it will unlock the secret that's within us."

"Maybe you're right, I don't know. I think, in some cases, maybe we should keep it really simple and clean, we run and fight, and we save the day. I can't do anymore; I'm going to bed." Both of the siblings get up and head inside going to their bedroom. Sonic finishes with, "Cortana is going to have the final segments of the suit ready tomorrow and we got one whole day of training we can get. After we let the resort recharge self then we can come back again using next week to build everything you need to build and test the suit and be ready for when this crazy adventure starts."

Three and half weeks pass inside the resort. It is close to midday, and Cortana is swiftly working in the lab while Sonic and Nico are training outside. The blue AI and Tachikomas monitor robotic arms working on a moon color Fitbit style watch. The robotic arms make another three passes over the device then come to a stop. Cortana walks up and grabs the watch; she rushes out and heads for the beach to see Sonic and Nico going at each other in a fierce head to head match up. Sonic duel wields his swords while Nico uses his claws coated in his werehog shield. The pair come at each other from opposite ends and the sound of clinging metal echoes through the air as the training brothers end up on opposite sides of each other. Just as swiftly, they come racing at each other again, and this time multiple sounds of clinging metal as Sonic swings and Nico slashes at each other. Cortana watches the two for a few more minutes letting them get in four more rounds of clashes before the blue AI steps in giving a T signal with her hands saying, "Timeout! Timeout!" The boys come to a sliding stop seeing her standing right in the path of their next clash. "Not bad guys not bad at all. Well, it's all done."

Sonic de-summons his swords and walks over to grab the watch from Cortana. "That's awesome Cortana! So who wants to test it?"

Sonic holds the watch to Nico, but the werehog holds his hands up while shaking his head, "Oh no bro, this was your idea. You came up with the idea of creating a super suit, so you should be the one to test it."

Sonic gives a quick huff; then puts the watch on his wrists while stating, "Oh come on Nico, you never want to have any fun. Well, guess that means more fun for me." He looks towards the blue AI and ask, "So how do I activate it? Do I just press the face of the watch to get it to turn on?"

"Nope something even better. If I made it a button press function and if you randomly or somebody accidentally hits the button, then your secret identity is blown right there. To prevent that from happening, I made it phrase activated." Sonic motions to her for the activation phrase. "All you need to say is, 'Moonlight Transformation'. Pretty straight forward right?"

Sonic and Nico give an approval nod; then Sonic takes a couple of steps back. He takes a heroic pose then says while pumping his fist up into the air, "MOONLIGHT TRANSFORMATION!"

Seven beams of moonlight come shooting up from the watch. Just as quickly, the beams come back down enveloping Sonic's whole body. In the mist of that shimmering light, Sonic finds himself completely nude with the seven lights dancing around his body. Following his instincts, he sticks out his left arm as the moonlight surrounds it. Once the light is fully engulfs his arm, it starts to break apart in a prism of sparkling white light unveiling from the tip of his wolf claw metal plated gloves. As a light continues fracturing up his arm, more white plated armor reveals itself over his arm. Sonic holds out his right hand having the same transformation happened. Going with the flow, Sonic leaps up into the air as to beams of moonlight encapsulate his legs. When the light disperses, the light reveals his feet in wolf paw armored shoes, and his new greaves match the rest of his armor. The blue hedgehog lands in a dramatic pose as a beam of moonlight comes spiraling around and hits him in the chest making his entire midsection glow bright. He stands up flexing his arms to the side as a light disperses unveiling white armor with two belts connecting to each other in the center and a wolf tail in the back. The sixth beam comes flying at him then splits into two landing across his shoulders creating a beautiful shimmering black cape. The seventh and final beam of moonlight orbits around Sonic's head like a halo raining down droplets of light forming the wolf shaped helmet. Sonic crosses his arms and pulls in his legs spinning around letting his cape flap in the wind while his armor glows bright once more like the moon. When he finally explodes open, the light particles gather in the center of his chest forming an upturn blue crescent moon. The echoing sound of a howling wolf radiates all around him as he eyes in his armor appear as blue sparkling irises. Finally, the transformation is completed, and Sonic lands back on the ground clad in his new armor. The new cladded warrior holds his hands up and looks down a flexing his fingers. He then looks back up and says in a completely different sounding voice, "This is way pass cool!"

"I got to hand it to you, Cortana. You do nice work," Nico praises.

The blue AI replies back, "Well it just wasn't me this was a collaborative effort with all of us. Now, our biggest thing is, you have your identity hidden but you need a name for this new identity. Any ideas?"

Nico steps closer looking over the design of the outfit noting all the wolf theme features over it. "Well one thing we got to consider is a name that can't be easily associated or lead back to Sonic or myself. So anything related to our tribal name or the Moon Pack is out."

Sonic finishes looking over himself, "Well, I'm an armor and if I'm right Cortana the two hilts on my side are swords. Why, don't I go with something like a medieval knight."

Cortana snaps her fingers exclaiming, "I got it, Night Warrior!"

The two brothers look at each other for second and both say in unison no. Nico continues with, "Come on Cortana, that doesn't even hardly relate to what chilidog for brains is wearing here. Plus, you gave it the activation phrase moonlight transformation, so let's stick with moon or something like that." The werehog taps his arm for a moment then comes up with, "How about, the Wolf Knight?"

"Come on Nico, that doesn't even follow your own rule that you were just pushing," the new warrior says. The three of them fall silent for a couple minutes thinking possible names until the new warrior says in a heroic voice, "I got the perfect name. The moon and the fact that I'm a knight. I shall be called Moonlight Knight."

Nico is the first to state, "That's perfect! That name suits this new identity perfectly."

"The only thing missing, is a catchphrase for Moonlight Knight," Cortana finishes.

The brothers think for a moment until the Moonlight Knight says his catchphrase while striking different poses.

Nico and Cortana look at each other for a moment then back at Moonlight Knight in his final pose fall to the ground laughing at the new hero and his catchphrase. Cortana stops long enough just to catch her breath while giggling, "You so got that from one of the manga and anime we been following!"

"Well, yeah! What do you expected I like the series! And don't you go cracking up so much Nico, you like it as well!"

"Ok! Ok! So we have a catchphrase, what's next?" Nico questions.

Cortana smirks while shaking her head then explains, "You need to practice using all the suit's gadgets. I'll give you a quick rundown everything that has been installed. In each hand, you have a compressed energy laser. Like Nico's werehog barrier, your suit emanates a similar shield that will help absorb damage. To augment Sonic's normal speed, each of your shoes are equipped with a micro jet engine. Depending on the situation, you can have the jets activate to allow you to fly in the air or if you're running across the ground allow you to make high jumps. The claws on each of the shoes are a fully functional and will extend out to allow you to use your hand and feet to grapple to the side of buildings. Your belt contains an array of unique instruments to help you either incapacitate your opponent or allow you to escape. I've also equipped you with two energy swords to allow for Sonic to use for his dual wielding when he's in control of the suit. On the other hand, Nico the gauntlets on the suit allow for you to utilize your strength, but will make sure that you don't expose yourself. Sonic, as you can see, the inside of your helmet is setup as a tactical HUD. It relays all information throughout the suit to that HUD and that you're able to voice activate certain functions within the suit. I've also included an onboard Tachikoma to act as your support backup AI system."

From the left side of the heads up display, a Tachikoma to walks out and introduces herself, "Hello Sonic, I look forward to working with you and Nico. Whenever you need a hand just let me know and I'm always monitoring all systems. Also if you need I can patch into other communication networks and help with electronic defense and remote hacking."

"Sounds awesome Tachikoma can't wait to see what you can do," Sonic replies back.

Cortana continues her explanation with, "The best feature is your cape. When you wrap it around yourself, it acts as a camouflage cloaking device. In one way, it can literally make you invisible to anyone around you. Another great feature is the holographic projection system, but I'll leave that for you to figure out on your own and how to utilize it. Lastly, the suit's most powerful defense is in all-encompassing massive flash bang. When you use that ability for the suit, all the energy inside of it besides emergency reserve power will be gone. I highly recommend that you don't use that ability until it is your last ditch effort."

Nico quickly adds, "Alright, we will spend time from here until the end of the week to train and get a feel out for the suit. This will give us the opportunity to iron out any flaws or reinforce parts of the armor to make it more effective." Everyone agrees to his plan, and then they begin to get to work starting with a quick one on one spar match between Nico and Moonlight Knight.

Two days pass by in the real world; Manic heads to the kitchen stretching and yawning still in his pajamas. The green hedgehog is greeted by Kell and Midna as they eat breakfast. "Morning sibs. What you two up to?"

Kell drinks some coffee as Midna replies, "I have time off until school starts, so Kell and I are going to enjoy our time together."

Manic starts to pull food from the breakfast spread, "Sounds like fun."

"Hey Manic, have you seen our blue brother?" Kell questions putting down his coffee cup.

He sits down at the table with the others getting ready to eat, "Now that you mention it, no. The same can be said with Nico. If I had to take a guess, they are still in their training resort."

"Morning everyone!" Sonia exclaims walking in with Kenna, Silverfang, and Kana. They are greeted back by the others. The newcomers fix their food then head to the table joining the others.

Manic quickly follows up with, "Hey, have any of you seen Nico or Sonic lately?" Everyone shakes their head no. "Wow, I never pegged them to as the hermit type."

"They must be doing some crazy training if they have been isolated for nearly two days," Sonia states before taking a bite while chewing she comments, "Yet they come out only long enough to cook."

Kenna stirs her sunny side up eggs with her fork while stating, "I don't like it; they must be up to something." In her head, she listens to herself saying that she would stick to the brothers at all times. The snow white wolf stands up and says in a commanding tone of voice, "That's it! As their guardian and Captain of the Royal Guard, I will not sit here and let them do this. For all we know, they might be doing something dangerous, or they could be in grave danger. Here's the plan, we are going to their room, and demand that they tell us what they have been up to!" Everyone gives her a dead pan expression then goes back to eating. "HEY!"

Kell says, "Good luck with that on sister. Knowing those two, they won't give you a single piece of information."

"WHAT!"

Manic quickly follows up with, "Besides, without a doubt, they have their room door locked, and after the fiasco of you going in to wake them up only to find out that they caught morning wood, you don't have a key to the room. How would you get in?"

In a blink, Kenna is dragging Manic kicking and screaming down the hallway with the others following behind the two. Silverfang quickly asks, "Kell, shouldn't you, I don't know, stop this? After all, you are his guardian."

The dire eagle shakes his head no, "When Kenna is like this, there's nothing in the world that can stop her. Besides, what's the worst that can happen? She finds him in the room butt naked with morning wood. From there, she freaks, runs out, and then goes crying in the corner about what she saw. Nope, it's just best to let things play out. Plus, it's more fun this way."

They reach the door and she drops Manic in front of it. "Damn, that hurts! When the hell did you get so strong?"

"Stop your belly aching and open the door."

Manic folds his arms in a defiant pose, "No way!"

"I said open it," Kenna growls out.

"Forget it!" Manic exclaims. Suddenly the air is filled with screams from a lightening shocked hedgehog.

Cortana monitors the reading from the armor while watching Sonic and Moonlight Knight going full speed at each other. The two warriors' fist fly at high speed crashing into each other. Every couple seconds, the two fallback and the knight gets on all four growling like a wolf. He dashes at Sonic, but the hedgehog is forced to runaway not seeing any opening. The crafty hedgehog dashes away while Moonlight Knight pursues on all four as if a wolf on the hunt for his next prey, yet at a critical moment, Sonic doubles back and head straight for the knight. The moment that he is close enough he goes into a slide hoping to take the legs out from under him, but the pursuing opponent jumps up in the air and twist his body around to the point of becoming a drill-like tornado. Sonic's only recourse is to turn over dig his fingers into the sand and slow his approach while having his feet do what they can to propel him in the other direction. Only mere seconds before they collide, Sonic is able to get enough traction to get away. The next thing the blue AI sees is Sonic being chased by a twisting drilled tornado. Suddenly, a signal goes off alerting to somebody entering the resort. She turns around to see Kenna and the group coming down the light elevator. "Oh shit! How the hell did they get in here?" Cortana voices looking up at them. Have a second later to us as her head around seeing Sonic and the Moonlight Knight once more engaged in hand-to-hand combat. She shouts out waving her hands while running out onto the beach side battlefield, "STOP! STOP!"

The two of their fists meet once more before seeing Cortana rushing up to them. Moonlight Knight says, "What's the matter?"

Cortana points behind her at the approaching group, "it seems that we have uninvited guests."

"How in the world did they get in here?" Sonic questions watching as the elevator comes to a stop at the resort entrance.

"We will have more things to worry about if they see you two apart! Or worse if they see the Moonlight Knight here!" Cortana explains hearing the footsteps heading down the pathway.

Nico disengages the armor and tosses the watch to Cortana for safekeeping then comments, "We don't have enough time to fuse!"

Sonic throws a punch right at Nico just as he sees everyone come walking up and quickly following his instincts Nico counters with a block and returns the blow. Just as quickly, Sonic starts to fight back in the brothers are at it once more. Kenna and the others walk up to see Sonic and Nico going at it at full speed. Sonia comments, "Oh wow, Sonic and Nico's resort is completely different than the rest of ours. I wouldn't never predicted that they would want a beachside training resort."

Manic comments, "Well minds is the same, but if you look a little further back he has a unique set of islands with different climate areas and environments."

"We can worry about the environment and changes later! More importantly, look at what they are doing! Wait a minute, how are there two of them?!" Kenna expresses with a puzzled look. Everyone else looks ahead to see Sonic and Nico going at it toe to toe.

Everyone except for Sonia and Manic shout in unison, "WHAT THE HELL!"

Hearing everyone's shouting voices, the two brothers come to a screeching halt. To look at the crowd gathered on the boardwalk. Sonic is the first to say, "Hey everyone, is something wrong?"

Kenna is the first to rush down with lightning bolts in her eyes, "What in the world have you been doing here? A better question is how is it that you two are in two separate areas at the same time and not even in super form?!"

Nico steps up with his arms folded in his head cocked to the side, "And is there something wrong with us being in two separate places at once while training with each other?"

Midna is the next one to ask, "How are you two doing this? Have you and Sonic always been able to do that? And why are you two not more shocked about this?" She finishes by pointing at Manic and Sonia.

Manic says in an unsurprised fashion, "We've known about them since we train with mom back at the resort on Mobius."

Sonic follows up with, "The difference is we're only able to do this in here because of a spell that mom put on the resort. In the outside world, we hadn't a chance to master this technique. Now, I hope that answers some of your questions; because, I have a couple of my own. First off, how in the world did you guys get in here? The last thing I remember was I locked my bedroom door." He looks over at Manic for a brief second then adds, "Now that I think about it that question self-explanatory. The better question is, why did you do it bro?"

"I did it against my will. The best way to put it bro, Kenna was very determined to get in here."

Nico answers with, "Sorry about that man."

Silverfang is the next one to ask, "Seeing that you can do this, what benefit does it have toward your training?"

Sonic rubs the back of his head then replies with, "Well, there are two benefits. The first one, we've been working on strengthening this technique so that we can do it in the real world." This statement warrants Nico to give his twin a sharp look, but he doesn't stop Sonic from his explanation as he continues, "For right now, Nico and I can only hold this jutsu in this world for maybe about 20 to 35 minutes. In the outer world, we can hold this technique for about two minutes at max. The major drawback is that this technique drains our stamina at an unbelievable rate. If Nico and I can get this jutsu under control, then we can be in two places at the same time. This also leads to the second benefit. Silverfang, remember the form that we took when we first came to the village?" He nods his head yes and gives a brief explanation about what Sonic and Nico look like in that form to the others. "We figured that that form is a cross between Nico and myself, but it's a little too hard for one of us actually to drive that form. In fact, we come to the realization that we take that form were actually off-balance, so we spent some time thinking on how to fix the imbalance that we fill when taking that form."

Nico quickly follows up with, "That's when we took the next step at coming up with a different way to get into that form. After spending about two maybe three days thinking about it, an idea hit us when we were watching anime. We took inspiration from the show Dragonball Z and figured that maybe we can fuse ourselves together using that form as the catalyst."

Kell is the one to quickly jump in with, "If you guys figured something out like that, then you've got to show us!"

Sonic and Nico look at each other for a minute then back at the others. Sonic states, "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt, I mean, we haven't done it in a couple of days, so maybe it will be a good test."

The werehog counters with, "But, we won't be able to hold it for long. I mean were hitting our limit right now with this jutsu. Our fusion might last a minimum 2 to 3 minutes."

"That will be more than enough time for me to gauge your fighting prowess!" Silverfang expresses with a clench fist and a happy expression.

"Why not, that will be a good way for us to wrap up today's training," Sonic states getting into position to perform the fusion. Everyone stands back giving the two enough room to witness this new technique. The two brothers synchronize their energy, breathing, and brainwave patterns; then they face each other taking a running stance. In perfect unison they take off straight at each other as their energy begins to envelop their body and everyone hears them say, "FUS-ION ACT-IV-ATION!" The two energies collide with each other creating a whirlpool of midnight blue and cobalt energy. A couple seconds later, the twisting energies glow bright and start to form a figure standing in the center. Kenna and Silverfang are surprised to see the larger wolf tribal form Nico took on the day they made their way to Sora's tribal home.

The form stands proud and strong with chiseled muscles gleaming from the residue of the lingering swirling energy. To everyone surprise though, he stands perfectly nude with only a brown loincloth covering his manhood. Silverfang walks up first saying, "Amazing, you guys really did it. Why would you have to go through that charade just to take this form?"

Kenna is the next one to question, "Okay the last time you guys took that form, and um… the better question is which one of you is in control?"

He looks down at her and says with a smile and in a voice that sounds like both Sonic and Nico's tone of voice layered over each other, "Well, neither one of them is in control. Sonic and Nico fuse together to create me. My name is Lunanic nice to meet you all." Everyone looks at him in a shock and ah fashion. "Yes I know, the loincloth is a little weird. In all truth, I don't even know why it's happening like this." For a quick moment he glances off into space then adds, "Sonic believes that it might have something to do with the Moon Pack heritage, or it might have to do with the fact that when they first saw Silverfang, he was in a loincloth."

The silver wolf transforms back into his normal size and says while flexing his claws, "that doesn't matter. What matters is how powerful are you in that form?" Lunanic gets into a fighting stance squaring off with the equally size warrior wolf. Before anybody can blink an eye, the two warriors go full speed at each other attacking with the sound of steel claws clinging in the air as they come clashing at each other. Lunanic and Silverfang appear up on opposite sides sliding with their claws digging into the sand. The two give off a feral growling sounds staring at each other before once more taking off into another fierce round of high-speed attacks. Everyone stands in amazement watching the two warriors continued their high speed battle with each other not giving a second for the other opponent to gain an upper hand. From above, they see Silverfang in the air ready to pounce down on the charging Lunanic. The silver wolf dives down only to have the blue wolf launch himself up putting the two into a head spinning, body twisting, crash dive. Only mere seconds from hitting the ground, they punch each other sending each other flying in separate directions. The two warriors do a couple of somersaults and land perfectly upright. Silverfang is the first to commend, "Amazing, you nearly mastered the Moon Wolf Fang's fighting style. Sonic and Nico were good, but you actually present a great match."

Lunanic smiles back and replies with, "Thank you my brother. Once more it's hard to explain, but…" He puts his hand over his chest and continues with, "I believe when Sonic and Nico fuse together, all the experience and wisdom of the two was merged into me." He feels an odd sensation in his hand then raises it to his face and says while lowering it, "Looks like my time is almost up. Hopefully, as the two of them get stronger and are able to hold their separation jutsu longer; I'll be able to see the outside world and go toe to toe with you again Silverfang."

The silver wolf quickly adds, "You're damn right, and I guarantee that they will!"

Kenna quickly jumps in asking, "Lunanic, you have both Sonic and Nico's memories and thoughts. I need to know, what do they think about me? How do they see me? I need to know, do they see me more than just as the captain of the Royal Guards? More importantly, how do they see me as a girl?"

The blue wolf gives a sideway smirk then says, "Well, if you ask me, they…" In a flash of blue light Lunanic disappears splitting back into Sonic and Nico.

Sonic quickly follows up with, "No fair Kenna, trying to drag that information out of Lunanic."

Nico finishes up with, "If you want to know the answer to those questions, you could just ask us."

The wolf hardens her fortitude and boldly demands, "Then what's your answer?!"

Sonic paints a goofy look on his face rubbing his ear, "Hum… what was the question again?!" Everyone hits the floor hearing his question, and Sonia makes the swift comment that her brothers are hopeless. The blue hedgehog shoots his brother a sly smirk then says, "Now that we got that out of the way, time for everyone to leave, us included." After they all get up, Sonic and Nico lead everyone out with complaints and comments hurled at them for not caring about Kenna's feelings.

The day of the heist opens with Shadow giving the briefing to the team members and team leads. The black hedgehog has a map of the city displayed behind while explaining, "Good evening everyone, our goal tonight is the capture of Black Rose Ninja. According to intel, she will strike tonight, but we don't know the target." This piece of information causes some slight mutter among all the soldiers gathered, Shadow quickly tackles that with, "Listen up! I know! It doesn't make sense to launch an operation with unknown or unconfirmed information, but we don't have much choice given the situation. So here's the plan, you are going to be broken up into two teams. Alpha team, Rouge will be your CO, and command wants you stationed at Rose Corp. Bravo team, Silver will be taking point from your team; command want you stationed at Acorn's mansion. Now since we haven't hammered out that thing with our drones, we won't have automaton support, but I know that you will be able to handle anything that is thrown at you. Remember, watch out for your teammate and keep an eye out for anything out of the norm. Dismiss!" The soldiers salute then file out to the waiting helicopters. Shadow tells his girlfriend and brother to hang back for a bit. Once the room is emptied out, the ebony hedgehog says, "You know what to do right?"

The sexy female bat replies, "While my team is patrolling the area, I'll sneak into the Rose Corp. database and plant the worm virus. Plus, if I have time, search for any other evidence of Acorn's shady dealings."

They then look at Silver who explains, "I'll make my way around Acorn's mansion planting the listening bugs in key areas."

"Good, I'll be your backup. The moment the ninja appears; I'll teleport to your location and help catch her," Shadow finishes.

The sun begins to set with the dusk orange sky painted in the background. Amy and Blaze are stationed in some nearby trees; overlooking Amy's birthplace and home. Before, Acorn came in stole it from her after her parents went missing. The pink hedgehog looks at the estate and for a brief couple of seconds, memories of her playing in the yard with her parents and new baby brother flash in her mind. ~Stay focused!~ Amy shakes her head; then looks to her left to see Max hovering next to her. ~You can't let your mind wonder off to far. I'll be here to help guide you, but you must remember your training and keep your emotions in check while inside.~ Amy only nods her approval.

Blaze looks at her friend then at the estate. Just as she gets ready to say something, their earpiece comes alive with M's voices, "B. BC. Do you read?" They reply back; then he continues, "Cool, W, J, R, and H are ready at the bank. S and I will have your back from here. On the next cycle, we'll launch the Trojan."

"Understood," BC replies then looks at Amy, "Hey, as temping as would be to put a kunai into the heart of that heartless bitch, you…"

"You don't have to remind me. We're here to expose Sally, stop her plan, and save the grill," she replies looking at her kunai.

Sonic, Nico, and Cortana sit in their room listening to the com lines from both sides. "The board is set, and both sides are ready to move once night falls. All we need to do is decide when the knight will make his move," Sonic expresses leaning back in his chair.

"Each side has a free piece to use in this game, but DEDSEC is going to be at a disadvantage in using that free piece." Cortana pulls up a map showing the location of each operation. "Shadow will be able to move faster and help Silver corner the ninja at the manor."

"Hum… so our only card to play is when Shadow will arrive. Plus, we need to make the knight's début a grand event," Nico adds.

Sonic changes the monitor to the spinning power suit just as an idea pops into his head, "I got it! Tachikoma, can you patch into the local news station's computers?" Cortana and Nico have a confused expression on their faces. Sonic gets up and checks his watch to make sure everything is fully powered.

The blue AI voices, "Sonic…"

"No time to explain," the hedgehog quickly interjects.

A second later, Tachikoma returns and reports, "All done Sonic, I have a connection to KRON4 main computer."

"Good, have the link ready to patch into the station's live feed on my mark," Sonic orders. He quickly follows up with as he write something on a piece of paper, "Cortana, I want you to leak this information to the police after the ninja has gotten inside." He hands her the note; she quickly reads it then her eyes brighten up putting the pieces together. Sonic then turns to his larger brother, "Bro, at exactly 2337 hours, you need to be seen by everyone, and I do mean everyone!"

Nico pieces the plan together then gives his twin a big fanged smile, "Oh that is good! That is real good! Alright, you get going and keep the Black Rose Ninja safe. You, I mean, Moonlight Knight is her only hope."

Sonic nods then looks at Cortana. She gives him the all clear signal; then Sonic is on his way out.

The night has taken over with the Waning Gibbous Crescent Moon and stars all around in the sky. Sonic reaches Acorn estate and easily sneaks through the fence. Moving from cover spot to cover spot, the hedgehog uses the tracking and hunting lessons he learned from Earthfang and Flameclaw to get pass the GUN soldiers and private security. He posts up near the backyard tool house then digs in giving him a perfect view of the main house. He activates his comlink then says softly, "Cortana, do you read me?"

"Loud and clear Sonic. Nico, is doing the meditating thing while having his barrier up, so we are all secure on this end. How about you?" she questions looking at the video feed from the estate cameras.

"All good. GUN really wants to get their hands on the ninja. They must have at least over a hundred soldiers on the grounds. Just on the way up here, I ran by at least thirty snipers in the surrounding trees."

Cortana slowly paces in front of the monitor thinking out loud, "Wow, even without our help, she is walking right into a spider's web. I wonder, how she plans to get around all the personal stationed in the trees?"

"Don't worry, my guess is, Marcus or Blaze will pull some trick to create a blind spot for her to run through. Speaking of, when the chance comes, I'll also take advantage of the diversion to get farther inside," Sonic finishes.

BC scans the area then reports back, "This is not going to be easy B." She turns around looking at the kunoichi with glowing ember eyes as she checks over her weapons; BC continues with, "Looks like GUN joined the party, or Sally must have called them in for some reason. That reasoning to the side, GUN troops along with Acorn's normal security make the place look more like a fortress than a house."

B finishes her final check over her weapons then voices back with an unafraid tone, "Forget the fortress idea, they don't know it yet, but what they have going on down there is just a sneak peek into their future life behind prison walls."

BC smirks, "At least you come down from hanging them by their own entrails to seeing them behind bars."

B snickers, "Don't kid yourself, I would still do it! Anyway, do you have anything on my opening?"

"Yeah," BC replies turning back forward with B now sitting beside her. The purple cat points at an air vent, "You'll be able to fit in there. From there, you'll have full access to the manor." B gives a thumbs up while BC watches guards on the ground. At the right moment, BC gives the go signal and B takes off sailing through the trees. She keeps a close eye ready to wave off the ninja just in case. Luckily, the stealthy ninja powers straight through, out of the trees, over fancy fence, up the wall to the covered vent.

BC knows she only has mere seconds before either the guards come back around or the camera spots her. She swiftly and not realizing her increased strength pulls the vent door open ripping screws out from the wall. Wasting no time, she hops in then lowers the vent back down drawing no enemy attention.

Sonic watches her move inside then comments, "Looks like she has improved her skills since the last time. Cortana, what are you seeing on the vids?"

"She is getting better, but she was rushing so much that the camera was able to pick her up. Lucky, I'm feeding fake images to our friends inside. Anyway, how do you plan on getting in now?"

"I think my ticket inside is coming up right now," Sonic answers seeing a security guard coming straight up to his position. The guard inspects the area for anything out of place. Looking around, he doesn't see anything until he looks at the tool house, and sees what looks like a body hiding under some of the equipment. The guard moves closer pulling his gun while and shining his light over to the object. The second he is close enough to what it is, he finds that nothing is there. Relieved, he holsters his gun; then from behind he hears, "You know, it's says a lot that you would draw your gun first before calling for backup." The security guard spins round to see Sonic while trying to pull his gun. Unfortunately, the hedgehog is faster and knocks the guard out with a quick punch to the face. Sonic catches the body then drags him to the side of the shed. He puts him into a sitting pose then uses his watch to scan him. "Don't mind me, but I'll be borrowing your ID for a bit." Once the scan is done, Sonic taps the face of the watch allowing a holographic overlap to take his place. "Fits like a glove, Cortana."

The AI fires back with, "Well, that's one glove that you don't want to keep on for too long. His ID just popped on the Wanted listings."

"Wait, this dude is wanted?! By who? And why are you tied into the criminal wanted database?"

B reaches the end of the duct then starts making her way up the vertical shaft, "Do you have a lock on the target?"

Cortana rolls her eyes, "Whatever you say Moonlight Knight. Listen, B is heading to first floor east wing study. Acorn has a VIP guest he is meeting with, it could provide damning evidence against him and his organization."

"I wouldn't be too eager to get a seat. That whole room, along with the ducts, is wired with laser alarm sensors."

Moonlight Knight swiftly adds, "And B is walking straight into a trap."

He stops in his tracks saying, "The stage is set. Alright, here's the plan: first, delay alert signal until I finish my prep work. Second, get an escape route ready heading to the roof, and make sure that Silver and Shadow are there waiting for her. Third, Tachikoma have our vid link to the TV station ready to activate." The Moonlight Knight heads upstairs with a smile, "Time to put on a show!"

B reaches the vent over the room with Charles and his Latin-American guest. She listens closely making sure everything is being transmitted. Charles sits in a king darius throne chair with black cushion and gold trim. He says to the woman in the matching chair, "Rachel, what is the purpose of this sudden appointment?"

"Before I explain anything, why is GUN here?" Rachel questions.

"They believe that the Black Rose Ninja will either strike here or at Rose Tower. My sources tell me that she working hand in hand with DEDSEC, so GUN is here to protect and hope to capture her."

Rachel tightens her fists, "GUN might not be here just for that. Remember that restaurant deed you wanted?"

"Oh course! It was really more for my daughter, but I traded it for a more lucrative and greater venture. Or you could call it the down payment on an investment for my daughter's future ascension. That to the side, how does that have anything to do with GUN or your visit?"

"That deed belong to the former member of GUN and pretty high ranking member at that. The owner Leonard Cat came into the bank with the former director of GUN."

A look of urgency popped up on Charles' face as he states, "The former director, you don't mean Lewis Sisko!"

"The same one and after I told them the deed was sold, I left the room. The employee handling the file is sickening straight hearted. He let Sisko look at the data, and Sisko recognized my handy work. Without a doubt, he must have told someone in GUN to look into this and now you have GUN on your doorstep. It's time for me to relocate and I need your help to do it," Rachel states with an anger tone.

Charles folds his hands tapping his index finger on his other palm. After a couple moments of thinking, he voices, "You're right. You have done a great amount of good work for me. You have earned your retirement." A sudden knock comes from the door, and he invites the person inside. "Ah! What good timing, let me introduce my head of security Finlay Moriarty Rattigan Rat. He will be the one assigning your bodyguard."

"Sorry to disturb your meeting sir, but it seems that your private meeting has some unwelcome ears," Fang states. He pulls his gun then says while pointing it the vent where B is posted up, "It will be a pleasure to kill the Black Rose Ninja!"

B's eyes widen seeing the gun pointed at her. Max floats near Fang then shouts as he squeezes the trigger, ~RUN! GET OUT OF THERE!~ B panics for a brief second before regaining control and rushes out of the area just as Fang opens fire shooting through the duct. She crawls away hearing Fang shout for security inspect the ducts and shoot on sight.

She comes to a fork in the duct path. B looks left then right feeling the wave of panic starting to race through her. Suddenly, a voice comes over her earpiece, "Head left." B starts to question the voice, but it counters with, "If you want to get out alive, follow my directions. Don't worry, I'm a friend, who wants the same as you, to bring down Acorn and his minions." B exhales; then throws caution to the wind letting the voice direct her. She continues her trek through the duct hearing the sound of shouting and rapid footsteps of numerous people.

Shadow and Silver wait on the roof walking around hearing the chaos down below. "I would pay money to know what is going on down there. Earlier, it sounded like someone shooting a gun," Silver states.

"You may not be far off, but I would like to know which team member said they saw something odd going on up here," Shadow complains.

Silver fires back with, "With our luck, it would be a wild animal running around up here."

They suddenly stop; hearing the sound of someone loosening a vent. They hide behind an AC unit, and then they see the vent fall off one of the open air ducts. They watch as B crawls out of the duct. With a big sigh of relief, they listen to her say, "Ok, now what?" Shadow signals to his brother to head around, so they can get in position for a pinch maneuver. "What?! Are you serious?! No way! Yeah, thanks for the help but I got it from here!" She exclaims getting ready to run.

Shadow stands up in front of her saying, "Make this easy for yourself and give up. We don't have to fight."

B starts to back up unknowingly moving closer to the hidden hedgehog. She reaches into her ninja weapons pouch getting a smoke bomb while saying, "You're right, we can make this easy. Let me leave and do what needs to be done to bring down Acorn."

Shadow snickers boldly stepping closer to the female ninja, "That's not going to happen, but if you turn yourself in, we can use the evidence you've gathered to stop him once and for all. Plus I can guarantee you immunity for most of your crimes."

"Most of my crimes? Why not all of them?" she inquires having the smoke bomb in her hand. Shadow continues forward without fear. She orders, "Stop, don't come any closer! I'm warning you!" B pulls the smoke bomb out ready to throw it, but the black hedgehog dashes forward and is able to grab her wrist with the bomb. She struggles, but the difference in strength is quickly realized. B looks at her opponent seeing the cold deadly look in his red eyes. Max quickly gets B's attention and signals for her to attack. She nods; then lets her training take over. B opens by thrusting forward using her head as a weapon. Shadow tries to stop her by torqueing her arm back, but his is unprepared for her high flexibility. As a result, Shadow's lower jaw gets hit with B's forehead; the attack is enough to daze the ebony hedgehog and release his grip. Now free, Black Rose Ninja punches Shadow in the chest throwing him further off balance. In truth, the GUN agent is able to rebound with an attack from her blind side. In the nick of time, the fleeing ninja senses the attack and evades. In their close quarters, B and Shadow are in a close fast pace fist fight. The fighters throw punches, kicks, blocks, and high speed counters. B is surprise at the speed and skill Shadow shows towards hand to hand combat. ~Max, find a crack in his defense. If this last too long Silver will arrive, then I'll be in some major trouble!~

~I have and his defense is rock solid! He's not leaving any opening!~ Maxine exclaims watching the fight, but a more dangerous issue comes spots Silver stealthy move up behind B. ~Ah damn! You need to get out of this now! No choice, you're going to have to use that technique."

Following his instincts, he put some distance between them. The aura flows into her weapon; then energy starts to take the form of Amy's hammer. She does as short jump floating the air and starts to swing while saying, "Rose Tornado!"

Before she can finish her swing and unleash her attack, Silver jumps out from his hiding spot shouting, "ITS NO USE!" He uses his telekinetic powers to trap B. She tries to break lose, yet her efforts are fruitless. Silver moves closer and uses his powers to force B to drop the kunai. Once the weapon hits the ground, the energy shaped hammer disburses leaving only the ninja weapon. "That was a close one, she was powering up something big."

The black and red hedgehog walks up with a smirk looking at the trapped ninja, "Thanks for the backup Silver. Now, let's get rid of this mask, and see who Black Rose Ninja really is."

In B's mind, Sonic's words echo within, *Your quest for vengeance will only lead to your destruction.* ~No! He was lying!~ she thinks watching as Shadow steps closer. The sight of his torture and constant grief makes her cry in her mind, ~NO! I DON'T WANT THIS!~ Shadow grabs the mask and starts to pull it off. *You are in a dangerous spot. Sally has a toe tag with your name on it, and will do anything to get it put on. Shadow and GUN are also on the hunt as well. You will not survive against odds like that.* B starts to cry in fear of everything going on around her. The dark visions stop and is replaced with the image of Sonic. His back turned to her glowing with a radiate warm light. Both Amy and Maxine cry out for help making the blue hedgehog slightly turn his head as they hear him say, ~You will have a guardian, just as the moon is the guardian over the Earth.~

She opens her eyes to see Shadow and Silver are looking around; then she hears a voice echo out loud:

I am the light that pierces evil darkness's might.

Suddenly, the two brothers hear something roll across the ground. They look down to see a small crystal ball; then the ball lights up so bright that the whole roof is saturated in a bright white light. After the light dims out, Silver and Shadow un-shield their eyes letting them readjust back to normal. To their surprise, the prisoner is gone. They hear the voice of the unknown person coming from behind them. They look up at the high chimney. In the foreground of the crescent moon, his cape swaying in the wind with the Black Rose Ninja in his arms. The knight finishes:

For I am the Moonlight Knight, and in the name of the moon I will punish you!

"How?!" Shadow questions.

"I loss focus when he used that flash bang," Silver explains.

B looks up at the knight safely holding her. Before she can say anything or move, the knight jumps up and starts flying in the air. "Time to leave!" the knight takes over flying towards the city.

The kunoichi looks down seeing the dark forest below then up at the clear starry night sky. Finally, she looks at the knight looking forward. She gets ready to struggle, but B looks at Max, ~What should I do? Why do I have this deep feeling that I can trust him? Why do I feel so safe in his arms? Why do I feel like I can trust him with everything in my heart? ~

~I can't explain it, but I feel the same thing,~ Maxine adds. Without warning, the Moonlight Knight dives down to the dark road below. ~Be on your guard! If he tries anything…~

"Black Rose Ninja listen closely, Shadow and Silver are close on our tail. I'll put you down here; your friend BC will be here in a few minutes," knight states flying down next to the road. Just as they land, BC comes driving around the turn bank, "Perfect timing." BC comes to a stop just a little ways from them with her gun drawn. "What is with you girls and drawing guns on your rescuer?" She gives him a curious glance before he puts her down. "If you have a change of clothes, then change and tell BC to drive normally." He steps back then says, "I'll handle Shadow, Silver, and GUN." The knight turns around, but before he takes off, he partially turns around and throws a com device to B, "Take that back with you to your friends at DEDSEC. I'll contact you later with some important information. Farewell!" He takes off back into the sky; then he unleashes a giant bright flare and soars towards the city.

Blaze comments as her and Amy, now changed into street clothes, get on the bike, "We will have a lot to discuss the second we get back. The one main thing we need to talk about is the armored Superman."

Amy holds on to Blaze as they get on the way; she gives a brief comment as her and Maxine's minds race at full speed, "He was more like Iron Man. Anyway it doesn't matter, we need to get back ASAP."

As they make their way down the hallway, she explains, "I don't get it myself, but apparently while Shadow and Silver were on a mission investigating Charles Acorn and the Black Rose Ninja, some new figure calling himself Moonlight Knight jumps in and saves the ninja from Silver holding her captive. The short version she escaped and now they're pursuing him. Silver thinks that the knight is Sonic and Nico in some crazy suit of armor." The couple passes their siblings sitting in the main common room watching TV and talk with each other. Everyone takes notice of the way Midna is walking down the hall towards Sonic's room. Being proactive, Kenna is the first to rush up to the two and ask her what is going on. Midna responds with, "We're about to find out in the next two seconds. Either A: I'm going to have two brothers who are going to be ticked off at me for bugging them, or B: I will have two brothers that are going to get their asses kicked the moment mom finds out what the fuck they are doing, and another beat down from me fucking up my night off." She bangs on the door yelling out both of their names. Not receiving an immediate response, she gets ready to bring the door down. She pulls her fist back, and before she swings the door opens up.

Kenna asks, "What situation is going on?" Midna explains what is going on making everybody gasp in shock." So they're chasing him right now towards downtown!"

"This is Lacey William coming at you live from over the Golden Gate Bridge where renowned GUN agents Shadow and Silver Hedgehog are facing off with the mysterious person calling himself the Moonlight Knight. Earlier this evening we got word that this Moonlight Knight aided in the escape of the infamous Black Rose Ninja as she was preparing to flee from the Acorn estate. According to sources, the knight somehow was able to outwit the two agents and escape by flying away. Now it seems that he's cornered standing on top of one of the pillars of the bridge in the direct facedown with the two agents. My team is fully dedicated to staying here long as possible to bring you the conclusion of this epic standoff." The news anchor states watching out the side of her helicopter. Over her headphones she hears the cameraman say something that makes her explain to her viewing audience, "Faithful viewers, we have got some exclusive sound coming at you right now."

The knight starts off with, "Tell me, why are you betraying justice?"

Silver is the one who answers with, "What do you mean we're betraying justice, you're the one who's breaking the law. You let a wanted criminal escape for no reason. What type of definition of justice are you looking at?"

"The definition of justice I am looking at is the one where those who break the law are the ones arrested not those who go out to protect and defend the innocent."

Silver fires back with, "What are you talking about?! By your own definition, you broke the law and you defied justice!"

The Moonlight Knight swiftly counteracts with, "No, I rescued someone who was fighting for the innocent who was trying to uphold justice and law. The one who was breaking the law and terrifying the innocent was a man who was staying in the house below."

"Unfortunately, you have no proof of that!"

"Maybe if you actually did some investigating, you will find the evidence you need. After all, wasn't your world controlled by an evil tyrant; the man took everything from innocent and vulnerable people? You and your family fought to the extreme to save your world. Now here, you are enabling a man who is doing the same thing here, and you are trying to punish the one who said she is trying to stop him. How can you call that justice? How can you call yourselves defenders of the innocent?"

Silver starts to become frustrated and he finally says, "Listen, our past has nothing to do with our duties here. If we find out that he is behind these nefarious acts, then he will be handled accordingly. This is all superfluous! Moonlight Knight you are hereby under arrest for aiding and abetting a criminal, fleeing and eluding, and assault and battery on law enforcement officers. You need to come…"

Moonlight Knight interjects, "You see, I was afraid we would hit this little snag. You're laboring under the delusion that I, how would you put it, come quietly."

To no surprise, Silver starts to say something, but Shadow steps in, "Save your breath bro, the only way he's going in is by brute force." He cracks his knuckles and gives a big grin, "This is where the fun begins."

Back at the hotel, everyone watches as Shadow and Moonlight Knight get into fighting stances as they face off with each other. Silverfang notices something about the knight as he voices, "How is that possible?"

"What are you talking about?" Manic questions looking at the wolf then back at the TV.

Their wolf cousin continues with, "Do you see it?"

Kenna is first to answer, "Yeah, Moon Wolf Fang Style."

Sonia is the next to question, "What are you guys talking about? Moon what style?"

"Moon Wolf Fang Style, it is the stance that the knight is in. It's known by members of the Moon Pack Tribe. Shadow is going to be in big trouble if he tries to fight him with his normal fighting techniques," Nico expresses in a calm fashion.

Midna jumps back into the conversation asking, "Silverfang, if that technique is only known to members of your tribe, then do you know who that tribe member is?"

"No clue. The only ones, here, that know that fighting style are Sonic, Nico, Kenna, and myself."

~Not bad Sonic, using Moon Wolf Fang style will make it harder for everyone to know the true ID of the knight,~ Nico thinks silently as he turns to look at the TV. He watches as Shadow, in his normal fashion, launch the first attack. The hedgehog launches straight forward at the knight. Once he is close enough, Nico quickly and quietly mouths, "He shifts to the right then goes in with wide haymaker." Just as said, the ebony hedgehog shifts and swings at the night. The knight uses right leg to block, but Shadow quickly changes his attack by pulling back his right hand and swings with his left. He aims for the knight's solar plexus. To everyone's shock, the knight uses his left leg to push himself into the air. Shadow is wide eyed seeing his opponent overhead; then the knight does a cartwheel in the air then lands a heel drop on Shadow's back. The GUN agent is sent crashing to the red steel ground after passing by the knight. Everyone watches the hedgehog slam then tumble on the metal surface while the knight gracefully lands in a crouched pose in his starting position with his back to Shadow.

"Oh man that's not good!" Manic expresses.

Sonia follows up with, "That so called knight, face planted Shadow!"

Nico turns to Midna, "Call Silver, and tell them to get out of there!" He turns around just in time to see their older brother get up and face his opponent again. "Hurry Midna! Shadow can't win!"

Shadow stands up stretching his back to work out the soreness from the counterattack. He turns to face his opponent to find that he is once more in the crouched stance. "Well, I'll have you give it to you. I was not expecting to get knocked down like that. Bravo!" The knight remains silence looking at Shadow. "What? At first, you were very chatty; now you're all silent and focused. What's the matter? You were going on and on about how we betrayed justice…" Shadow states as he starts running towards the knight, "Come on! Say something you ASSHOLE!" The hedgehog keeps charging head on; just before he is in striking distance, Shadow uses Chaos Control to disappear. The Moonlight Knight remains still as stone as Shadow reappear charging in from the rear. The knight's tail flicks as if getting ready for a counterattack. Shadow notices his tail acting strange and teleports again just as he gets into striking range again. On the spot, Shadow hides on another column watching the knight's unmoving body. ~He must be confident in his fighting skills. I don't know what he is planning, but its pissing me off. Alright! Alright! Calm down Shadow. You can't let him get to you. Think, use what you know and rely on your training.~ He shuts his eyes thinking of a plan; then his eyes spring open with a big grin on his face. "Oh that is good Shadow. He'll never be able to see it coming or stop it." Shadow reappears in standing in front of the knight, "I can tell that your senses are extremely sharp, but can you do it when your target is moving too fast than the speed of sound!" Shadow dashes at the knight with his speed boost active. The yellow speed burst is mere seconds from hitting him when vanishes. From a completely different direction, the hedgehog comes flying from below, yet he vanishes in the blink of an eye.

From the news chopper, the reporter says, "This is amazing! You are not seeing things. Agent Shadow is, from what I can call it, attacking from all directions while the Moonlight Knight remains unmoved!"

~Now, here comes my chance with this many afterimages and energy disburse like this; I can get him NOW!~ Shadow shouts in his mind as he charges in at full speed. A nanosecond before the black and red hedgehog makes contact with his fist to his opponent's armored head, the Moonlight Knight pulls back out of the way, grabs Shadow's arm uses his own speed twist him around dispelling his afterimages. Shadow is in complete shock, ~NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!~ The knight uses his other hand to grab Shadow's shirt then jumps up spinning around and around twisting up higher and higher. On the thirtieth spin, the Moonlight Knight fires Shadow straight down. The hedgehog rockets down with his speed boost active. Shadow can see himself at a speed not of his control and extremely dangerous. He forces out trying to get his body in a position to control his fall, "NO! I AM NOT GOING OUT LIKE THIS!" Shadow struggles with all his might to move, but the force from the speed makes it impossible. "No. Please not like this. I don't want to die like this." *SHADOW!* He hears his name from the woman he loves shouting in fear and grief. "Rouge! My night angel! I am sorry. I let him beat me!"

Silver rushes towards Shadow as fast as he could fly shouting his brother's name. "No! I'm not gonna make it! DAMMIT!" The hedgehogs watches as the yellow speed comet crashes into the steel plated ground. Silver runs into the smoke filled center dreading at what he would find. Tears well up in his eyes, when his sees Shadow passed out yet completely unharmed. "Shadow! Shadow! Wake up! Open your eyes!" Silver exclaims while shaking his brother's body.

Shadow grunts as he slowly opens his eyes; then they spring open when Shadow realizes that he is not hurt and being held by his brother. "Silver? Silver! What happened?! Where is the knight?" Silver points up above at their opponent. "That smug asshole!"

Moonlight Knight looks off to the left seeing Midna flying in on Manic's hoverboard with Rouge flying right beside her along with Kell, Kana, and several other helicopters behind them. "Looks like time is up." He looks down at the two, now standing, brothers, "This was only a taste of my power. Know this, I will continue to fight and protect the innocent. Plus, the Black Rose Ninja is under my protection. Any enemy of hers is mine. You and your fellow GUN agents should focus on stopping those who are the real enemies to justice." The knight looks as reinforcements surrounded him. "Until we meet again, farewell!" Everyone goes rushing in to attack the knight, but he does a quick twist making his cape span out along with extending this arms and legs out while shouting, "MOON SHINE DOWN! LUNAR FLARE!" Suddenly, every inch of his armor starts to shimmer then in a bright blinding flash of light the whole night sky around them is filled with light.

They all shield their eyes from the light, but the flash quickly fades away returning the area back to the night. After they uncover their eyes, they all look around and the news caster is the one to exclaim, "HE'S GONE! THE MOONLIGHT KNIGHT IS GONE!"

"SHADOW!" Rouge calls out as she flies into his arms with tears streaming down her face, "Thank heavens, you're alive! My heart stopped when I saw you hit the ground."

He hugs his girlfriend tight, "Yeah, I thought I was a goner."

Midna and Kell are the next ones to land, and she asks, "Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but how?"

Silver holds up a small disk with a crescent moon. "I think it's because of this. I found it on you."

Shadow takes the disk downing a quick inspection, then he briefly flashes back and states while reliving the playback, "He must have stuck this on me when he grabbed my chest." Shadow grits his teeth as he continues with, "This is what saved my life. The knight must have not had any intention on killing me."

"That's a relief," Kell states.

Midna quickly looks at her mate with an intense glare in her eyes. "This is no time to stand idly by!" She taps her com-badge and orders, "All units spread out set up a perimeter. Look for any unusual energy signals or unknown flying objects. NOW MOVE OUT!" They acknowledge her orders and move out. She turns to her brother, "Shadow, you should head back to ARK and have Julian do a quick check up on you."

"No! I'm fine, but the Moonlight Knight is going to be the one crying for mercy the second I get my hands on him or should I say them!" Shadow exclaims.

Kell questions, "Wait, are you saying you know who the knight is?"

"Yeah, and so will all of you. Come on!" the hedgehog orders letting go of Rouge then racing towards the city.

Blaze and Amy pull back into the DEDSEC garage. They head to their command area where everyone is watching the news just as the desk anchor says, "For viewers just joining us, we are continuing our Breaking News Coverage. GUN Agent Shadow Hedgehog went one on one with San Francisco's newest mask culprit calling himself Moonlight Knight. According to our law enforcement sources, the knight was involved with an incident earlier this evening when Shadow and Silver had cornered the Black Rose Ninja at the Acorn Estate. The knight declare that he is allied with the ninja which begs the question, who and why is he aiding her? For more on this we go to…"

Marcus mutes the TV, "Blaze, Amy thank goodness you're back safely."

"No, you can thank Moonlight Knight for my escape," Amy states.

"Marcus, what in the world happened in there?" Blaze questions.

Marcus walks back over to his station while rubbing his chin, "Your guess is as good as mine. I have Alice going over the data, but all we know is that we lost contact the moment you got close to that room."

Amy's fears increase as she questions, "So, you didn't hear or record anything?" Marcus and Sitara shake their head no. "AHHH! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING WITH ME!" Amy screams while stomping around. "Acorn literally confessed to every shady dealing he has with the Banker."

Wrench jumps in with, "Don't sweat it; we got enough evidence to bring down Acorn's entire operation. Along with, proof that they cheated people out of their homes, so he could buy up the land."

Blaze comments with a smile, "That's great this means the grill is safe."

"No," Josh voices, "I didn't see the deed registered in the data."

"Maybe it's logged under a different name. After all, the Banker is a hacker. Get Alice to go over everything," Blaze counters.

Amy says with a sad tone, "Blaze, Josh is right and Alice won't find anything."

The purple cat's flame aura spikes up while saying in a challenging tone, "You better be leading up to a joke because you are cruising for a smack down."

"This is no joke. Acorn told Rachel, aka The Banker, that he gave the deed to someone that would help Sally's ascension," Amy explains.

Horatio shakes his head walking over to Amy, "What the hell does that mean? Sally's ascension? What in the world is Acorn planning? How does the grill play into this?"

Horatio's questions starts up a furious debate between everyone. Ray finally steps in saying, "Alright! Enough! Enough!" They stop arguing and look at the elder man. "Listen, we're not going to get anywhere going on like this. Our best bet is this, let Alice go through the data and setup the release while we get some rest and cool off. In the morning, we can go over this with fresh eyes." It takes a couple of minutes, but everyone agrees and heads to bed.

Everyone still at the hotel continues to watch the breaking news while waiting for the others to comeback. Nico relaxes in the chair surfing the net on his phone. ~Hey bro, I'm back!~

Nico keeps a calm expression on his face while saying, ~Welcome back Sonic, you did a great job out there.~

~Thank you, but you better be ready. Knowing our older brother, Shadow is going to come in here hotter than the Rocket Chilidog.~

The werehog uses his phone to mask his mouth as he gives a quick smile, ~Yup, and his brain is going to be boiling when he learns I been here the whole time.~

Sonic lays back, ~Please, just don't overdo it. You just need to do enough to plant the seed that we are and are not the knight.~

~I know, I know.~ Nico hears the elevator doors open with some minor shouting, "Showtime."

"I've heard enough!" Shadow exclaims racing into the common room. He quickly looks around until he sees his target; then, without caring for anyone else in the room, he swiftly makes his way over to the sitting werehog then grabs him by his shirt collar while yelling into his face, "WHAT THE FUCK IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?! HAVE YOU LOST WHAT LITTLE BRAINS YOU HAVE IN THAT CHILIDOG ROTTED HEAD!"

The harassed werehog says in a calm control tone while fighting the urge to laugh unlike Sonic who is cracking up, "Shadow, I know you're mad that Moonlight Knight beat you and helped Black Rose Ninja get away. You shouldn't take your anger on others; however…" Nico stands up going into his full eight foot tall werehog form. Shadow holds on to Nico's collar as he is lifted off the ground; then he says in his deep threatening tone, "If you want to take it out on me then you better be ready for another ass kicking!"

Shadow lets go of Nico dropping back to his feet. "I know that you're the knight!"

"Geez Shadow," Nico retorts putting his hand on his head. "I couldn't be Moonlight Knight because I've been here the whole time. There's no way I can be in two places at once."

"Don't act stupid! We all know that you can split separate from each other."

Nico huffs, "Yeah when we are in super form, but everyone here can tell you that I wasn't glowing gold."

Shadow snickers and fires back with, "Oh get off it! Midna told me all about your little secret."

Silver finally chimes in with, "Nico, what were you and Sonic thinking?"

"Oh you mean from when they broke into my room and enter my training resort. Bro, look yes Sonic and I can split when in normal form, but we can barely do it in the real world."

Shadow counters with, "Oh what a perfect excuse! You can't do it outside the training area."

"Shadow listen closely, the rules of physics are different here. It takes a massive amount of energy for us to split apart. Therefore, the technique would only last for at least thirty seconds to a minute. So…"

Shadow feels his anger start to boil over listening to his brother's explanation and, in a fit of rage, he exclaims, "PLAYTIME IS OVER! YOU'RE GOING DOWN!"

The black hedgehog attacks his brother. Nico rises his shield as Shadow's attacks are stopped. Nico folds his arms watching string of attacks unfold in front of him. Shadow curses realizing that his punches are not making any headway. He backs off looking at Nico just standing there. "Fine, since you're not taking this serious, let's turn this up!" Shadow's aura flares up and he summons his energy swords. "NICO! LET'S GO!" he shouts charging at his werehog brother.

"SHADOW!" Aleena exclaims.

Shadow turns his head, "Mom?!" *crash* He face plants into Nico's barrier.

"Oh, that's got to hurt," Nico comments seeing his brother slide down the edge of his shield.

A couple of minutes later, everyone but Aleena are sitting down as she looks at them and says, "I can't believe what I'm seeing here. Now, someone better tell me what is going on here fast!" Silver gives a quick recap of events; along with Midna that tells what happened in the hotel. "Wow, sounds like a very eventful night. Shadow, I don't see why you would attack Nico over this matter."

"You know that they can separate, and be in two places at once so…"

Nico cuts Shadow off, "That makes my alibi weak enough to break or be a fake. However he is forgetting that I clearly told him; the laws of physics are different here. Sonic and I can only split apart when in super form. In the training resort, yes we can separate. Clearly as, Midna stated after breaking into our room for the second time." Everyone looks at the werehog with a shocked expression, "Yeah, we figured it out back on Mobius. The only way you would know that I was in Port Mobius unless you were looking at my personal schedule, plus I picked up your scents in my closet."

"Let's not bring up pass events," Aleena states. "Shadow, I am sorry, but everything shows that they were here the whole time."

"But mom…," Shadow whines.

"Besides, we more pressing matters to handle." Everyone looks down the hall to see Capt. Sisko entering the room with Millie and Oracle.

Midna asks, "What do you mean sir? Did the search teams find the knight?"

"No, something more important has come up. Dedsec has just release information that matches up with what dad discovered at Leo's bank. We have full confirmation on who The Banker is and her location. I want you three to back up SFPD then transport her to ARK. From there, our hope is to have her turn state's evidence. Add to the point, you must secure her safety at all cost. Clear?!

"Yes sir!" the three hedgehogs reply while standing at attention.

Silver uses Chaos Control to take Shadow and Midna with him. Aleena and Ben talk for another minute before looking at everyone. "Ok, now that we have this behind us. We must focus on what is next. Tomorrow, we have a meeting with your school director, and you will be moving into your dorm house. Also, I have consulted Lisa and the others, and we have come to the conclusion that the need for you to have a guardian is no longer necessary."

*CRASH!* Everyone is shocked to by the sound and turn to see Kenna face down on the ground crying her eyes out while saying, "WHY! WHY! I'VE AGAIN!"

"Uh… sis?" Kell and Kana question in unison.

"Don't worry about her," Nico states. "She made a big deal earlier about taking her duty as our guardian super serious, and she would be stuck on us like glue. Now, mom has blown that duty out the water. Although, you won't hear Sonic or I complaining about this decision."

"Don't go thinking that you two are off the hook. Ben," Aleena states.

Captain Sisko follows up with, "Taking your actions into account, the DA has agreed to let the condition of constant supervision to be lifted, but you must perform community service, attend all classes with high grades, and you must find gainful employment."

Nico replies with, "Awesome."

Ben follows up with, "Nico, after seeing your skills and talent, you would make an excellent addition to GUN. This offer is extended to all of you."

Nico shakes his head no, "Sorry Captain, but we have another place in mind for right now." Ben nods his approval, and the werehog states, "Well, we're calling it a night. See you in the morning." He heads to his room before anyone can say anything more. In their room, Nico raises his shield before Sonic comes out. "Great job bro."

"Same to you, seeing Shadow crash into your shield was a treat all in its own. Cortana, how we looking?" Sonic questions while Nico starts to strip.

The AI comes back with, "Great, I just finished downloading the data from the ninja's bugs. I set it, so when they get a data upload so will we. Lastly, the performance reading from the knight suit was spot on."

"Cool. Mom will be along soon to say goodnight. Let's continue this after tomorrow," Nico explains lying in bed. Sonic and Cortana nod in agreement then disappear. "Sonic, I hope you're ready for tomorrow. It's going to be a show stopper."

The next day rolls around and it is just after the lunch rush at the Golden Gate Grill. Amy, Blaze, and the gang from Dedsec are the only people inside the restaurant. Marcus picks up his coffee cup looking at the muted TV while hearing the others talk. "Dude, I can't believe we couldn't find the deed after going through all that data!" Wrench exclaims.

Josh follows up with, "Yeah, I check through everything twice. Nothing. Acorn must have converted it to hard copy."

"Dammit!" Horatio cries out. "We just can't sit here and let Sally get her way. Uncle Leo help my sister get into GUN. We need a plan!"

Ray glances over at Blaze flexing her hands to the point making her claws poke out then quickly retract. "And we better come up with it soon, or the next time Sally comes into here she won't walk out on her own."

Blaze picks up on Ray statement along with her actions, and says with a vengeful tone, "Ray, if the shit face asshole walks in here, I promise she will never walk out."

Sitara chimes in with, "Hey, we're are missing one major detail. Since we exposed The Banker's identity, on top of that, Black Rose Ninja along with GUN can confirm a direct link to Acorn, I bet the second they arrest her; she will make a deal. Knowing people like her, she will rat out a big fish just to get a better deal for herself in the end."

The pink hedgehog finally voices, "That is possible, but I wouldn't put it pass Acorn to pull some move to keep himself out of jail."

Marcus spits out coffee yelling, "AMY! TURN UP THE TV!"

Amy quickly turns up the sound as everyone listens to the news anchor. "We return to our continuing breaking news coverage. For those who are just joining us, SFPD detectives along with special agents from GUN including notable members Midna, Silver, and Shadow Hedgehog launched a raid to capture the infamous hacker that developed and used the first ransomware on hospitals years ago. Who was given the hacker name The Banker was discovered to be Rachel Rodriguez. Ms. Rodriguez was the General Manager at Bayside Bank that has recently come under federal investigation after the loan officer Richard Mane reported shady actions by Ms. Rodriguez. Reports quickly came back when the raiding officers found her dead on the living room floor from a gunshot to the head. Unofficial reports are ruling it a suicide, but…"

Amy mutes the TV and comments, "Suicide my ass! She was murdered!"

"Acorn must have gotten tipped off about the raid. Asshole is cleaning house and making sure that there is no connection to him," Marcus states.

Blaze questions, "How though? How could he pull it off so quickly?"

"Fang," Amy states.

Horatio comments with, "Sally's fuck toy?"

"And head of Acorn's security," Ray adds.

"Acorn said that he was going to have Fang move her to a new location with a new identity, but he ends up killing her instead," Amy deduces walking over to put up the menus at the greeting podium. "Once again, he gets away."

From behind her, she hears someone ask, "Who got away?"

Amy turns around while saying, "Who else, Acorn….. AH! SONIC WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!"

The blue prince smiles and simply says while pointing behind him, "I used the door, but what did Acorn get away with?"

"Ah! That's… that's none of your business!" Amy exclaims.

"Does this have anything to do what happened last night?" Sonic questions as he folds his arms and walks further into the restaurant.

Marcus steps up and says with a suspicious look, "What do you know went down last night?"

"From what I've heard, Black Rose Ninja decided to pay a visit to Acorn's estate just outside the city. From there, things went crazy apparently. She got captured but somehow got away thanks to someone who helped her."

Wrench jumps in with, "That someone was calling himself Moonlight Knight. He came out of nowhere and apparently helped save her. Makes me wonder, were you not the one who said 'you would protect her', so you had to be the one who's the knight aren't you!"

Sonic gives a queer look at him and says, "Are you kidding? What makes you think that I was that person?"

Sitara is the next one to step up saying, "You kept telling Amy that this was a dangerous path that she was going down, so the only explanation was that you saved her last night."

Sonic intensely looks at the members of Dedsec and glances over at Blaze; then in an uninspected turnaround the blue hedgehog bust out laughing. "Oh brother, that is rich!" Everyone intensely looks at him cracking up and he finally gets out the next set of words, "There's no way that is even possible."

The purple feline walks up to Sonic and points in his face with fire burning in her eyes, "Don't you dare lie to us! We all know that you can be in two places at once!"

Sonic finally controls his laughter and says in rebuttal, "yeah I can be in two places at once, but I haven't been in the city almost for two weeks. If you want, Josh can hack into the highway cameras and see me driving my car out of the city. Plus, if I been gone for so long, how would I build something that elaborate like the knight's armor in such a short time. All the while, keeping it secret from anyone who might notice. Sorry to say guys but you don't have any evidence I have a strong alibi; and more importantly you don't have any way to prove that I am Moonlight Knight."

Everyone looks at him with an intense glare knowing what he says makes sense. Amy walks up from behind him and looks him square in the face. Sonic in Amy's eyes lock on to each other as she continues to look up at the blue hedgehog and she opens her mouth saying, "I do have a way to prove that you are him." Before Sonic can say anything more to everyone surprise Amy puts her hands on his shoulders and jumps up. As if reacting on its own accord Sonic's arms reach out to grab under Amy before she can fall down. Her arms are wrapped around his neck in his hands cradle her body with no effort. Amy gets ready to say something, but both of their emerald green eyes lock on to each other and for that blissful moment both hedgehogs feel that the world around him is in perfect tranquility. ~What's going on? Why does this feel so…~

~Feels so perfect? This is so different from the first time I held her!~

~Even though Sonic is the one holding her, I can feel her in my arms at the same time.~

~Something in my body… No it's my heart, my heart telling me to hold on to him.~ The pink hedgehog continues to look into his eyes, and then she sees Nico standing there over layering Sonic. She can fill her heart beat even faster not in fear, but impassioned and yearning for him.

Both Sonic and Nico feel their heart beating almost at the same speed as Amy's heart. Everything else around them fades away and is replace with the scenery from the dreamscape. They feel the soft wind blowing across the plain. In their peripheral, they can see the starry night sky above and the sun drench grass planes below, but they keep their eyes squarely locked onto each other. What can only be described as a telepathic link between the three, they can hear each other's thoughts.

"I don't have the words to describe what I'm feeling right now, but…"

"It feels that, the longer that I hold you in my arms, the closer I want you to me."

"I feel the same way. In your arms, I feel so safe and happy. A feeling that I've done this before further in the past. Hold me, I want to be closer to you."

Their three voices overlay with each other, as the two males leaned down to her as she pulls herself up closer to them saying in unison as they close their eyes, "Just one kiss. One kiss will help us understand everything. Please unlock the chains on my heart."

They move closer and closer to each other when voices from all around call out their names, but they continue ignore them until on voice calls out, "Big bro? Big sis?"

Suddenly, their eyes spring open and find themselves back in the real world surrounded by everyone staring at them. Sonic leans back up still holding the pink hedgehog in his arms. Amy still has her arms wrapped around the blue hedgehog's neck. Each try to will their arms to release the other, but their bodies push from them not be separated. Alex walks over looking at the two he asks with stars in his eyes, "Sonic, are you and big sis getting married?"

"WHAT?!" they both say in unison.

Everyone gives a low chuckle hearing his question. Amy quickly asks, "What makes you think that Alex?"

"Sonic is holding you like a groom holds a bride," Alex states with a smile.

Wrench's mask shows a mischievous expression as he gets close to Alex and says, "You got a point there little guy. Sonic walked in here and started talking with Amy; then from out of nowhere she jumps in to his arms."

Marcus can't help but join his friend by telling Alex, "Yeah, and only seconds after glazing into each other's eyes, they are in their own little world. We kept calling their names for nearly ten minutes it's quite romantic if you ask me."

Wrench swiftly follows up with, "And look, they are still in each other's arms. They do make a very cute couple."

Amy and Sonic both start to blush listening to them getting annoyed looks from Sitara and Blaze. Leo, Lewis, and Vanilla can only laugh looking at the two hedgehog. The older cat walks over with a smile that grows from happy funny to deadly dangerous as he places his hand on Sonic's shoulder. "Alex, I can see that you are overly happy about the idea of Sonic becoming your brother, so I will have to sub in for you. Sonic, I see my employees as members of my family. I don't know why Amy is in your arms, but why are you groping her butt?!"

Sonic quickly realizes where his hand is and panics saying, "Well, I… you… um… see…"

He looks at Amy, who's face goes from blushing red to red mad also noticing where Sonic's hand is.*POW* the pink hedgehog is walking away while saying, "Lecherous jerk!"

"Damn, she's got a mean left hook," Sonic comments rubbing his head.

"Now, Sonic why are you here anyway?" Blaze questions looking at the blue hedgehog.

He shakes off the pain then says, "I am here to meet with Mr. Leo. Sorry I'm late, but our meeting at school ran a bit longer than we expected."

"Woah dude, you're going to school here! Which school?" Wrench questions with amazement.

"Sorry, but it's classified. Don't ask me why, but Capt. Sisko insisted that I keep my school's identity a secret until after the first week." Sonic scratches his head thinking for a moment then says, "Although it doesn't make much sense, given the fact that the moment my classmates find out where I go it will be all over the net almost instantaneously. Anyway onto business."

Leo goes over to one of the booths and sits down followed by Sonic, Vanilla and Lewis. After they are all seated, Leo inquires, "From your message, you wanted to discuss something about your future here. Do you mind elaborating what you meant?"

"Well to make a long story short, Capt. Sisko and the DA both agreed that based on my activities from New York and also other community service activities that I have been participating in, they decided to go ahead and lift my initial so-called sentence after helping Black Rose Ninja escape and tearing up the city. The new deal requires that Nico and I attend school which we're starting tomorrow, we have to have a probation officer, and we have to be gainfully employed until we hit the age of eighteen. The first condition not too hard to do because we're already enrolled. It's conditions two and three that we will require your help with."

Leo gives a puzzled expression while Lewis and Vanilla along with everyone else are listening intensely to Sonic. The elder purple cat says, "Sonic, I don't fully understand what you're trying to get at."

"Okay here it is straightforward, I like for you to be my probation officer and I would like to ask for you to allow me to work here part-time as a cook."

Everyone gasp hearing Sonic's request. Blaze is the first one to voice, "You've got to be kidding! What makes you think that he should even give you a job here?! We have enough trouble going on right now and…"

"That's enough Blaze," Leo orders. She sits down following his orders then he addresses the prince, "I'm thrilled that you asking me these request, but I can't agree to them right now not because I don't want to but I just…"

Sonic holds up his hand pausing Leo for one moment and says, "I think I know where you're going to go with this but allow me to help you out a little bit." Sonic reaches into his over shirt and pulls out a piece of paper then places it on the table and says while sliding it over, "I got word that something happened to your restaurant mainly that it got bought out."

All the members of Dedsec gasps hearing Sonic's statement. Marcus jumps up exclaiming, "How in the world do you know that?!"

Sonic gives a cool calm look then replies with, "Hey, I have my sources. I got word that Mr. Acorn purchased the grill. I enough something about it didn't sit right with me, so we called him into our office and asked them I bought the restaurant. He gave me an explanation saying that he wanted to do a renovation on the place, but something about it didn't sit right with me. Then I asked him straightforward if he would allow me to go ahead and purchase the grill from him."

Amy voices a reasonable question, "Why would you want to buy the grill?"

Sonic can't help but smile then says, "Well, it may not look at but at times I'm a very nostalgic hedgehog. No offense to Mr. Acorn, but I have read up on his so-called renovation plans in the past. Anything that he normally renovates he's without a doubt going to destroy it. Now back to business, Mr. Acorn allow me to go ahead and purchase the deed to the restaurant for $1 million. I want to give this back to you free of charge with no strings attached."

This makes everyone gasp in shock and it is furthered after Sonic slides the paper over to Leo and he confirms that the deed is to his restaurant. "Sonic, I don't know what to say."

"We would like you to say yes. I don't want you to feel obligated because the restaurant is yours regardless no ifs, ands or buts. All Nico and I are asking is for you to give us a chance to work for you. This way, we can learn some new skills and cooking traits before the Iron Chef Match."

Lewis looks at Sonic, giving pleading eyes to Leo, and he says, "Leo, go ahead and give him a job, and I'll work it out with Ben so I can be his probation officer. This way not everything is put on to you."

Leo leans back in the booth looking at the deed and finally says, "Okay, you got a deal, but you better be ready. As of today, Lewis and I will be your teachers in the culinary arts."

Sonic and Nico smile then reply, "Yes my masters!"

Leo and Lewis get up and direct Sonic to follow them to the back to discuss his school schedule and what Lewis will have to do as his probation officer. Back at the table the members of Dedsec talk among themselves at a low volume so that Big, Cream, and the others that walked in with Lewis and Leo don't hear. They all agree that Josh and Marcus try to find out more information about how Sonic was able to get his hands on to the deed and where he goes to school at.

The next morning rolls around, and the seven of them are walking to the HEC's campus together in their school uniforms. "Amazing you were not able to find a thing about where Sonic and Nico are going to school at," Blaze states walking beside her friends.

Josh retorts with, "I didn't say I didn't find anything I just couldn't get the name of the school that they are attending. It was kind of odd because I was able to hack into the Department of Education network and I found Sonic and Nico's name, but all their information was labeled as classified. The only explanation would be someone has the paperwork with the information but digitally it does not exist."

They all continue walking together as they get closer to the main building. Wrench throws out, "well, I did hear that we are getting some new transfer students maybe it's them."

Sitara questions, "What makes you think that they will be coming here? Sonic is the crown prince in the next ruler of the Mobian Empire. Without a doubt, they're going to a private school somewhere."

"I wouldn't fully count out Wrench's idea. After all, Silver and them go school here," Blaze jumps back with.

Amy starts to laugh and joke, "Blaze, just because Silver and them go here; doesn't mean that Sonic and Nico are enrolled here. Hell, it's gonna be crazy enough to have them working with us at the grill. Nope, if those two were too enrolled here I would buy a polka dot bikini."

A few moments later when everyone is in their homeroom, Amy along with the rest of the homeroom class are in shock seeing the new transfer student standing in front introducing himself. "Good morning everyone, my name is Sonic Hedgehog. My brother Nico Werehog-Hedgehog and I will start our enrollment here today. We look forward to being your new classmates."

The whole class goes into a unified voice, "WWWWHHHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTTT!"

Hey everyone thank you for joining us for this latest episode. I know we didn't really answer the major question on how to catch a thief so the answer is to catch a thief you must become a knight. Don't kill me that was Ean who wanted to write it that way. Anyway, we're sorry that the show was late by nearly a month, but life happens.
