The next morning Harry woke with a slight groan. He wasnt sure where he was. Only that the bed was warm and comfortable. So comfortable that he did not want to wake. He snuggled back into the covers and hoped that sleep would over take him again. He only realized he wasnt alone when a slight chuckle came from some where else in the room. Soon the memory of the night before came back to him. He was in Malfoy Manor. And he had given Draco's mother a hug… And he had fallen asleep next to Draco… in his bed.
Harry blinked away the sleep and slowly started to open his eyes. He couldnt see without his glasses, but he could see the outline of the other boy standing in the doorway.
"Glasses are on the bedside table to your left." Draco said with a snicker. "You slept through breakfast, but if you would like to come down, lunch will be ready in about an hour. Mother is sure you will have many questions."
Harry groaned again. "Did I really hug your mother?"
Draco snickered. "And cuddled me in your sleep. The scandal. Now get up. You'll want answers and I want a seekers game."
"Prat." Harry said as he snuggled back into the covers. Draco on the other hand wasn't going to let the other boy sleep any longer. He pulled the covers off the bed, causing Harry to let out a squeak of surprise. Something he would deny if it ever got brought up. "Alright, alright. I'll get up. But you owe me a sleep in tomorrow."
Draco rolled his eyes. "You slept in today. Now get up. I'll be coming back in ten minutes to make sure you are getting ready."
Harry threw a pillow at him. Draco caught it with ease. "Damn annoying blonde and your seeker reflexes."
Draco smirked back at him, but went ahead and left the room. Harry huffed and felt like pouting like a toddler. His life had once again been thrown through a loop. He should have the right to sleep the day away if he wanted. But Draco did have a point. He wanted answers. Even if the Weasleys were not there, the Malfoys should be able to answer a few things. So with one last huff, he got out of bed and got ready. Draco checked on him in exactly ten minutes and smirked to see that Harry was awake and dressed.
"Let's get going. My parents are waiting." Draco took ahold of Harry's hand and drug him down the long halls till they reached the dining room. Narcissa and Lucius were both there. Lucius reading the newest issue of the Daily Profit and Narcissa reading a letter.
"Welcome, Mr. Potter." Lucius said with a slight nod of his head. He was a bit surprised to see the cringe at the welcome.
"I'm not really a Potter, am I? Could you all possibly just call me Harry. At least till I figure out who I really am." Harry asked with a slight blush on his face. Draco squeezed his hand in reassurance as he led him to a seat next to Narcissa. Taking the seat next to him.
"Very well, Harry." Lucius replied as he tried to hide a smile behind the paper. He had a feeling that Harry had never been what everyone thought.
"How did you sleep, Harry?" Narcissa asked as she put the letter down and ran a hand over the boy's wild locks. Harry blushed.
"Better than I have in a long time to be honest." Harry admitted. He then looked around at the Malfoys. "I'm sorry, but this is a bit weird for me. I feel like I should be running for the hills right now. But I feel more at home here than I have in years."
"There is nothing to be ashamed of. It's the Black Family bond." Narcissa said soothingly. "I'm sure you even felt it with Sirius. You were just unaware of what the feelings were. And Sirius had blocked off that part of himself for so long, he probably didn't recognize it himself."
Harry blinked in confusion. "So…. I'm a Black?"
Narcissa smiled back at him. "That you are. The son of Regulus Black to be exact. He went into hiding shortly after he found out he was pregnant with you."
"How did I end up with the Potters?" Harry asked nervously. It would just be his luck that his father was dead. He was never that lucky.
"We aren't completely sure about that." Narcissa replied. "I am sure your fathers would like to explain that in more detail. I believe they are looking forward to meeting you."
Harry's eyes shot up with so much hope that it broke Narcissa's heart. But he quickly hid it behind his golden boy mask and took a deep breath. "So I'm a Black. Regulus is my father. You two are my cousins. Sirius is also somehow related to me. How does this whole Black Family bond thing work? I mean the longer i am with you both, i can feel the connection. It is actually quite strong towards Draco. Like we had been close before. I dont get how I hadn't felt it before."
Lucius put the paper down and raised an eyebrow at the child. "You have never felt it before?"
Harry shook his head. "No, I'm sure if I had, we wouldn't have been so hostile."
Lucius huffed and got to his feet. "I have a feeling we should bring Severus in on this. I am not liking the sound of this."
Lucius left and came back a few minutes later with Severus Snape in tow. The moment he saw the boy he growled and whirled on Lucius. "What is the boy doing here?"
"Getting to know my family." Harry said with a shrug. Snape turned his glare on the boy and Harry shrugged. "I'm not a Potter. I'm a Black. Too bad you all couldn't have figured that out a few years ago. Oh Snape! Since you are here, do you have anything to clean up the cut on my head? It's starting to itch and I'd rather not reopen it."
"Is that what happened at the muggle house? You mentioned a frying pan?" Draco asked as he instantly started searching for the cut. Snape looked around at the other two feeling himself get a bit weak in the knees. If the boy was a Black. He knew exactly who the boy was. As if a fog had been lifted he could see the true boy. He looked less and less like James Potter and more like a mix of Regulus Black and his partner. Except for the green eyes. That was one thing that didn't make sense.
"Aunt Petunia whacked me with a frying pan after I burnt the bacon." Harry said as if it was something he brought up in everyday conversation. "Then Uncle Vernon shut me in the cupboard under the stairs. Demanded I fix it. But the last time magic was used, I got a notice from the Ministry. Said I would get expelled if I used magic again. I couldn't fix anything."
Snape sunk down in the closest chair, looking pale. If the boy had been scared to use magic in his own home… he didn't even want to think about what could happen. As he glanced around at the Malfoys. He realized he wasn't the only one on the same track of mind.
"What was the instance that caused you to get such a warning?" Lucius asked and was a bit surprised when the boy glared at him.
"Dobby levitated a cake over the head of a muggle visiting my family. When I refused to say I wouldn't go back to Hogwarts, he dropped it on the man's head." Harry said as his eyes narrowed at Lucius. "Dobby didn't want me going back to school, because someone had evil plans. That damn elf made my life hell till he was freed."
"Wait… that is what happened to Dobby!" Draco said in outrage. "You told me I was too old for a nanny elf! That he went to look after some other kid!"
Harry snickered. "He did. Right after he sent your dad flying down the hallway. He is at Hogwarts. So he is looking after children."
Narcissa giggled behind her hand. "Draco dear, you had been a bit obsessed with Harry after you came back from school. I am guessing Dobby took it upon himself to look after the boy."
"He also blocked the entrance to the platform. That is why Ron and I took the car. Oh and the bludger that broke my arm." Harry said as Draco's face went pale.
To Harry's surprise, Snape began to chuckle. "If I had known that, I would have asked Draco to order him to stop. I about pulled my hair out that year trying to keep the brat safe."
Harry couldn't help but giggle at that. "To be honest, after I found out you had saved my life that first year, I may have gotten myself into a few situations, knowing you'd save me eventually. Kind of my own revenge for you being a jerk the rest of the time."
Snape groaned. "That's why you weren't surprised when I showed up at the Shrieking Shack last year. That little smirk you gave me almost got you hexed."
Harry just smiled sweetly back at the man. Snape rolled his eyes and got to his feet. "I think I should go ahead and do a complete diagnostic on you. From what Lucius told me earlier, I believe there may be a few compulsion potions on you. I also want to do a couple on myself and Draco. Narcissa, if you would like to assist me with that."
Narissa nodded. "Of course Severus. We can use Draco's room for a bit of privacy. The boy's have been staying together. His Black bond has been neglected for too long."
Snape nodded. "So you believe he is Regulus's son?"
Narcissa glared at him. "You of all people should be able to tell who the boy is. You birthed the boy. You were the closest to his fathers."
"Wait…Fathers? I thought I had just been misunderstanding you earlier. I have two fathers?" Harry asked then turned to Snape.
Snape sighed heavily. "Did you not go to the sex ed classes they held last year for all the muggleborns and halfbloods?"
Harry looked up at him confused. "There was a sex ed class?"
Snape ran a hand over his face. "That meddling old coot. Yes, last year all students not of Pureblood families where to have sex ed classes to explain how things worked differently in the wizarding world. Purebloods were more than likely taught about such things at home. One big thing you need to know is that wizards can get pregnant."
"Men can get pregnant… So I am guessing that same sex couples arent looked down on like they are in the Muggle world." Harry said then scratched his nose nervously. "So I had two fathers. And one gave birth to me. Well that's… interesting."
Snape smiled. "Same with Triads, poly, pretty much any relationship that is frowned upon in the muggle world is accepted here. There are a few muggleborns or halfbloods, that think poorly on such relationships, but those kind of thoughts come from the muggle world. That is why it is required for all those not brought up in a Pureblood home to take the sex education class. I am guessing that your family are homophobic?"
Harry blushed a bit. "Yes, along with Ron. I have heard him make a few comments about Dean and Seamus."
Draco snorted. "Of course he would be so narrow minded."
Narcissa cleared her throat. "Let us get this diagnosis done, then we can all sit down and talk. I am sure we have much to discuss."
Harry and Draco nodded and headed out of the room. Snape instantly turned on the two older Malfoys. "I am not going to like what I find. Am I?"
Narcissa shook her head. "I am afraid not Severus. From what the Weasleys told us, this is not the first incident. And Dumbledore would not allow the boy to be taken from the situation. The way he talks about the abuse, it is like he is having a normal conversation with us. As if he talks about things like this."
"I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case." Snape said with a heavy sigh. "Lucius, you may want to let his fathers know. There is no denying who the boy is. I can't believe I didn't see it before. He has Regulus's eyes. Except for the color. I am guessing the color is some sort of long term glamor. Or they did some sort of blood adoption to the boy. That may explain the block on the Black Bond as well."
"Regulus is going to start hexing." Lucius said with a groan. "I'm going to be lucky if I come back in one piece."
Snape smirked over at his friend. "If his wand turns on someone else, I would like the memories of that."
Lucius groaned and headed for his office. He had a floo call to make.
XOXOX
Regulus Black curled up in his favorite armchair next to the fire. Something he had done every night since his son was taken. More to avoid his husband, and less hoping his son would come through the flames. Safe and found.
He still was unsure how someone was able to sneak into his room and take his son from his crib. The crib he had set right next to his side of the bed. Yet some one had done the unthinkable. Not only got through the wards. But walked out with the baby undetected. No one sees a thing. And there had always been people around. The house was never quiet, yet the baby had still been taken. His husband had questioned every guest that night. No one had been guilty. And no one knew a thing. Regulus was sure that his husband blamed him. He blamed himself. Even now, years later, Regulus still blamed himself, and distanced himself from his husband. His husband still tried. Tried to show he still cared. That Regulus was not to be blamed. But he allowed Regulus to keep his distance.
When the fire flared green, Regulus almost spilled the tea he had been holding. That fire had not been used in years. He looked up and was surprised to see Lucius Malfoy's face in the flames.
"He has been found." Lucius said. The cup fell out of Regulus's hand. Lucius quickly entered the small office. He went to his friend and kneeled in front of him. "Regulus. Your son has been found. We have him at the Manor. Severus is doing a full diagnostic on him right now. I will not lie to you, you will be devastated when you find out who the boy is, or what he has been through. But he is safe. His Black bond is active again and he has been soaking up the affections of Narcissa and Draco. We have told him that you are his barror. But we have not informed him of who the other father is."
"He…. He is alive." Regulus asked, his body shaking as if going into shock. "My baby is still alive. But what do you mean about who he is? What did they do to my son?"
Lucius gulped. "They hid him with the Potters. Your son is Harry Potter."
Regulus's face went gray. He could feel his world going dark till it all hit him at once. His face went from a sickly gray to an angry red as he grabbed his wand and headed out the office door.
"Shit." Lucius groaned as he quickly followed his younger friend. The man left a bit of damage on his way to his husband's office on the other side of the manor. And it was no surprise that the door was open when Regulus reached it. He didn't even give his husband the chance to speak when he flung a curse at him.
The husband easily deflected the curse but looked at Regulus in a bit of shock. That curse was meant to make him. Not once had he ever cursed to harm. Unsure of what he did, he deflected the wicked curses sent his way and glared over at Lucius. Lucius on the other hand held his hands up, saying he wasn't going to get involved and it was best to let Regulus get it out of his system.
After his office was nearly destroyed the hexes and curses stopped and Regulus fell to his knees in tears. His husband went to comfort him, but Regulus threw his hands away. "Do not touch me! You are never to touch me again! Our son! You almost killed our son!"
The Husband froze and glanced up at Lucius, realizing that what Regulus was saying was true. Then it hit him. Their son had been found. He was still alive. And he had almost killed him. He fell to his knees next to his husband. "No."
"I warned you, you bastard." Regulus cried as he beat at his husband's chest. "I told you not to go after him. I warned you I had a bad feeling that night! You could have killed our son!"
"I checked the boy Regulus." The man said as he brought his distraught husband into his arms. "I did not make a mistake. The boy I went after was not our son. I don't… I don't understand."
Lucius cleared his throat. "Severus believes the Potters may have blood adopted by the boy. It would explain why he didn't feel like your son. It may also explain why the boy's eyes are green."
"You said he was having a full diagnostic done." Regulus said as he pushed his husband away from him. "What have they done to my son?"
Lucius glanced between the two men nervously. "I do not have all the answers for you. I was not the one to originally find the boy. Those were the two eldest Weasley boys. They were not happy with how their parents were handling the boy's well being and brought the issue to Narcissa and I at the World cup. Narcissa had seen the boy for the first time. She recognized him immediately. Four of the Weasley children got him to us during the noise that was made there. Draco took him to the Manor. He slept most of the day today, when I decided to bring Severus in. We noticed that the boy may have been under a compulsion potion. That is why Severus decided to do a full diagnostic exam. We wanted to make sure the boy was your son before we brought this to your attention. The reaction he is having to Narcissa and Draco due to the Black Family Bond was enough for us to be sure."
"I want to see my son." Regulus said as he shakingly got to his feet.
"As you wish." Lucius said with a sad smile. He started to lead Regulus out the door when he heard a loud pop. He turned to see Regulus had spelled his husband to the floor.
"You are not coming!" Regulus growled. "Until I know my son is ok with meeting you, you will stay away from my son!"
His husband didn't even try to fight the spell. He just ducked his head in defeat. He deserved his husband's wrath, and he wasn't going to push his luck.
Lucius let out the breath he didn't realize he had been holding as he led Regulus to the floo and back into Malfoy Manor.
XOXOX
"It isn't good is it?" Narcissa asked as she watched the anger flare in Severus's eyes. The longer the apartment got, the more rage that welled up in the man. It had been bad enough that both Draco and Severus had been under compulsion to hate Harry. This was even worse. There were multiple potions on the boy. So many that Severus wasn't even sure how the boy had brain function. Compulsion potions, for negative and positive feelings. Love potions to make sure he falls for a chosen person. There were also signs of a magical signature potion. That would explain how the boy had not been recognizable before. But those were just the potions. There had been abuse starting at the age of four. Severus had a suspicion that was when the boy showed signs of magic. He had been highly malnourished, had multiple untreated broken bones and stunted growth. Then there were the spells that had been cast on the boy. He had been obliviated a few times since he had started Hogwarts. Even long term exposure to the imperius Curse. Severus was surprised the boy wasn't immune to the curse at that point. But what really set Severus off, was the lack of the killing curse and a dark scar curse. Without a word, Severus handed the parchment over to Narcissa.
"I need a bit of fresh air." Severus said as he got to his feet and left the room. He felt like he was going to be sick. This whole war surrounding the Dark Lord and Harry Potter was a farce. Lily Potter's death could have been avoided if the meddling old coot had left people's lives alone. And that was the kicker. What was the point of this war. What did Albus Dumbledore want to gain by forcing a war that never needed to start in the first place.
"Well you are one person I didn't expect to see here." A deep voice said from behind him. Severus turned and groaned at who was standing in the doorway portkey room. There stood four Weasley children. He knew they had something to do with the boy's escape, he just wasn't expecting to see them in the Malfoy Manor.
"Believe me, I was just thinking the same." Severus said with a sneer. "I have a feeling you are here to check up on the boy?"
"And for answers." Bill said with a slight nod. "Our family may have had a hand in all of this. We want to make it right."
Severus eyed them suspiciously then nodded. He flicked his wand at the twins. Everything they had in their pockets flew across the room and landed on a table in the room. He eyed them for a few more seconds before he flicked his wand again and a few more things flew over to the table. He then nodded. "I have just finished a full diagnostic on him…. It isn't…. I am unsure how the boy is not in a vegetable state at this point."
All four Weasleys paled. The twins more than the other two. When Severus lifted an eyebrow at them they squirmed nervously.
"We knew he wasn't treated right."
"His second year,"
"We broke him out."
"Of the muggle's house."
"Mom told us to stay quiet."
"That Dumbledore knew."
"But he was safe there."
"The potions we stole."
"Where for him."
Severus looked a bit surprised by that statement. He had known the twins had been swiping potions from his stash. He had just figured they were giving it to first years they expected being abused. When he brought it up to Manerva, the woman insisted that her Lions were all in perfect health. How had she missed the state of Harry. Even Poppy would have noticed how often the boy had been taken to the hospital wing. The boy practically had his own bed.
Severus walked up to the boys and patted their shoulders. "Thank you for looking out for him. I must ask to do a diagnostic on the both of you as well. Draco and i… we found traces of compulsion potions to hate the boy. And with what I have found with his… i do not trust that the ones closest to him have not been messed with."
"Do you think that's possible?" Fred asked worriedly.
"At this point… i believe anything is possible."
The fire flared from behind them and Regulus and Lucius entered the room. Regulus looked at every one in the room and started to look nervous. "Severus. Where is my son?"
