Episode Five: First day at School Pt. 1

Last time on Neo Sonic Underground:

Things stated to take a turn towards the funny and crazy side. Kell started to get used to being a member of the Hedgehog family and the duties that come with it. Plus, Manic and Sonia were getting the hang of ruling, except when Sonia throws her desk out the top floor window in a fit of rage. Thanks to Manic's quick reaction time, no one was hurt, and the damage was reduced to zero. Nico, Kenna, and Silverfang quickly made their way up to the office finding their brothers staring a down a super mad Sonia along with a man name Edward P. Otter cowering in the corner. After getting the whole story, Nico and the others look at the smug looking otter and tell him to 'pound pavement' before all of them tear him apart.

Once things had calmed down, everyone had to start filling out their entry forms for school. This gave Nico and Sonic more time to plan their rescue of Amy and DEDSEC. After talking with her mother and thinking over the consequences, Aleena decided to secretly help her sons by giving everyone their own personal training resort. With their resort, Sonic, Nico, and Cortana came up with a way to hide their identities by becoming the Moonlight Knight. It didn't take long before Kenna started to worry that Sonic and Nico were MIA from the real world for nearly two days. The wolf captain was able to encourage Manic to break into their bedroom and enter his resort. Inside, all but Sonia and Manic are surprised to find Sonic and Nico standing next to each other in solid form while not in super mode. Sonic explains the situation, but the blue hedgehog surprised everyone when he revealed a new ability that allows the two to tap into the full power of their Moon Pack wolf form. Sonic and Nico fuse together to unveil their new fused body and person named Lunanic. The eager silver wolf then stepped up to put the new blue wolf to the test. The fight was short, but Silverfang realized that he has true rival and brother within Lunanic.

Finally, the day for the heist had come; Shadow's trap was set and ready. All the players were on the move, and it was do or die for the Black Rose Ninja and DEDSEC. Everything was going as planned until the final player joined the game. Moonlight Knight made a flashy, yet somewhat questionable, introduction to Shadow, Silver, GUN, and everyone watching the news. In the chaos, BC and Black Rose Ninja escaped the trap to meetup with the rest of the team. Unfortunately, the mission went bust because everything that Acorn confessed to the banker was not recorded, and to make matters worse the main objective to recover Leo's deed to the Grill was another bust. Amy remembered that her adopted father told the banker that he gave the deed to someone else. Yet the bad news kept coming, the next day while DEDSEC were having lunch, the news broke that The Banker aka Rachel Rodriguez committed suicide, but the team knew that she had been murdered by Acorn's henchman Fang.

The day turned around for them when Sonic came into the grill for a visit. After a little finger pointing and romantic scene between Amy, Sonic, and Nico, the blue hedgehog explains the reason for his visit to meet with Leo and Lewis. At the meeting, Sonic returned the deed for the restaurant back to Leo. Afterwards, he requested Leo be his probation officer and new boss. Lewis agrees to be his probation officer, and Leo hired them as new chefs.

Everyone is eating breakfast when Aleena gets a call. "Hello," she greets then listens to the person on the other end. After ten minutes of one-word answers, she says, "That's greats news. Please let campus police know they will be moving today." She hangs up then looks at everyone waiting to hear what she was talking about. "I just found out that your dorm house is ready you all moved in."

"Wow, that was fast!" Sonia exclaims.

Manic follows up with, "Yeah, you put the order in a month ago."

"Indeed, I had to pay an in addition ten-thousand dollars to get everything done ahead of schedule," Aleena states picking up her coffee cup. She gives sinister smirk watching as Sonic drinks his orange juice. She quickly adds, "Or I should really say, you can thank Sonic and Nico for footing the bill."

Sonic splits out the juice in shock before turning to look at Aleena with a wigged-out expression, "MOM! WHY?!"

"Because of addons Nico and you asked for. What you didn't think I was going to foot the bill when you two have plenty of money to cover the cost."

Sonic goes pouting face while responding, "Yeah, but we were asking on behalf of everyone."

Aleena giggles looking at her son's sweet childish face, but she quickly picks up on something else brewing across the table. "Don't worry Sonic, everyone pitched in, but I think you have something more to worry about."

"Uh?" the blue hedgehog questions.

"Sonic Hedgehog." A voice dripping with malice says. Sonic, at first, is confused from where the voice is coming from; then he picks up a serious amount of killer instinct coming from the other side of the table. The teenage prince gulps in fear when he hears, "What the hell was that?! Do you think that was a split take or gag?!"

Sonic quickly picks up on voice and nervously turns to look at Kenna. Her face and white fur are stained orange along with upper top of her night shirt. He can see the sparks of lightening bouncing around the colored area of her eyes while growling with the front and side of her fangs showing. Sonic works out in a panicked tone, "It wasn't my fault! Ean did it for a quick laugh!" He swiftly sees that his excuse is not reaching her and… "EAN! KNOCK IT OFF! ARE YOU TRYING TO GET ME… AAHHH!" Residual lightening discharges from his charred furry body with a puff of smoke coming out his mouth.

Everyone else is unphased by the act, but Sonia comments, "The charred look doesn't work for you Sonic, but who knows maybe a few jolts will spark a new electric line of fashion."

After breakfast and a quick medical visit, everyone gets ready to head out. Shadow, Silver, and Midna oversee the move to their new dome house while everyone else head to the school. Twenty minutes later, they arrive the admin building for HEC. Aleena leads everyone inside where are welcome by a human man wearing office attire and a warm smile on his face. "Good morning," Aleena greets.

"Good morning, my name is Dexter, the office coordinator, how may I help this morning ma`am?"

"Yes, we're here to see the director."

Dexter pulls up the director's meeting schedule then asks, "May I get your name please?"

"Aleena Hedgehog."

"Ah yes, Ms. Hedgehog… Hedgehog… Aleena… wait a minute… Queen Aleena Hedgehog!"

Manic adds, "You don't run into many purple hedgehogs with the name Aleena, do you?"

Dexter stands up with his hand extended; the hedgehog queen shakes his hand while he says, "It's an honor to meet you in person your majesty."

"Thank you," she responses as he releases her hand.

"You are such a down to earth queen, and you are so easy to talk to." He looks behind her seeing everyone else. "Oh wow, you travel with an entourage. Are all of them your family?"

"In one way or another, yes."

"So that makes them the new students here. Look at me yacking, you must have a million and one things to do. The director is expecting you and your family; she is in conference room three." He points out the directions then says goodbye as they leave the front desk.

The group quickly make their way to the conference room, and when they enter, they find a fine dressed woman sitting at the head of the table typing on her laptop. Hearing the door, her ears poke up and the familiar Maine Coon cat stands up. All but Aleena, call out seeing her, "Mille? No… Ms. Mika?!"

The two named identical cats come into the room together making the teenagers start to lose it seeing all three of them standing next to each other. Mille quickly states, "Sorry kids right face but wrong name."

The woman in the middle says with a warm and welcoming tone, "Welcome my future students, allow me to introduce myself, I am Dr. Ray Tomcow Director of Hesogaia Education Center." The, soon to be, new students still have a confused expression on their faces. All the adults giggle at the situation until Ray explains, "Mika is my direct older twin sister, and Millie is our cousin."

Sonia voices, "Yes, we know and understand that. What's got our mind twisting is how. You three could be identical triplets, but you're a twin and cousin. How?"

"Genetics is the only best answer I can give. I mean you wanted to Sonia, you could easily dye Sonic and Manic's fur to match yours, add couple of wigs, and cloths; then you would have two more identical sisters," Ray states with a smile on face.

Sonia looks at her brothers thinking about the idea. Manic fires out, "Don't you dare sib! Whatever you're thinking forget it!"

"Why, you three would look nice in dresses," she snickers along with Kana and Kell.

Sonic start to giggle at the idea, "Yeah, not so much Nico thought." Sonic walks you to Ray and handing her the pads with all his registration information, "We give this you right?"

"Yes," Ray takes it then connects to the USB cord to the pad. In a nanosecond, the data downloads to the computer. Once done, she plugs in the other pad getting the data. She quickly reviews the data and says, "Very impressive. Nico and you have very strong mathematical and analytical skills. Although, your grammar skills could use some refreshing. Now, everyone please bring me your entry pads." The others hand her their pads getting the data. "Alright everyone, your registration is complete, and I have assigned your homeroom and classes. Sonic, Nico, Sonia, Manic, and Silverfang will be placed in the high school division in the eleventh grade. Kenna will be placed in the senior class in the high school division. Cortana, Kana and Kell will go to the college division as freshman students. Does anyone have any questions about your placement?" No one voices any objections then Ray asks everyone to sit as she goes over the rules and code of conduct.

After two hours, the school director wants to do a tour around the campus along with a stop at the book and uniform store. Nico appears tapping his watch. Sonic gets the hint then says, "I'm sorry Director Tomcow, but we have to get to another meeting."

Sonia questions, "What meeting do you have schedule? I taught all our meeting were suspended for the time being. Are you trying to ditch so you can cause more mischief?''

"If you must know, we have to go met with your new probation officer."

Kenna voices up, "I can't see why Captain Sisko wouldn't let me take the role."

"Think about it sis," Kell starts. "Even though, we are getting close as family, they are still the future Neo King. If Sonic or Nico were to order as the prince to overlook something they did, then you are duty bound to do so. There would be too much conflict of interest."

"Right on the money son," Aleena praises.

"No offense, but we don't want you on tail all the time. We need our space." Sonic's comment hits the wolf guard pretty hard, but her sorrow quickly turns to anger when the blue hedgehog adds, "What will happen, every time I get you mad or step out of line you char us? No thanks, we'll pass on the living lightening rod idea."

"Oh, I don't have to be your probation to do that!" Kenna exclaims while discharging small amounts of lightening.

"Uh oh! I got you heated later! CHAOS CONTROL!" He exclaims disappearing in a blue flash of light.

Hours later night is starting to rise just as Sonic walks into the new dorm house. It is a four-story modern villa mansion with a courtyard and pool in the center. The blue hedgehog gives an impressed whistle seeing how big the foyer is with all new furniture and tasteful décor. "Wow, mom went all out putting this place together. On top of that, Shadow and them got everything in here in a snap."

"Indeed, masters Shadow, Silver, and Midna finished transporting everything within three hours," a male voice says from the left side. Sonic and Nico quickly turn in the direction of the voice to see an older white male with a long white hair mustache, a black eye patch over his left eye, he is mostly bald with few lines of white hair over his head, and sports a well tailored three piece black and white suit. The man gives quick bow while saying, "Welcome home Prince Sonic."

Sonic gives an awkward reply, "Thank you?! Sorry, who are you?"

"Oh pardon my forgetfulness, I am Norman Burg head of house management."

"Nice to meet you Mr. Burg, but why are you here? Wait… what did you mean by head of house management?"

Before he answers, Aleena walks enters the scene answering, "Norman oversee all the household employees along with security, housekeeping, and maintenance."

Nico floats over his mother and ask, ~Why would we need all that?~

"Would you like answer that one Norman?" Aleena forwards.

Norman has puzzled expression making Aleena realize who was asked the question. After quickly apologizing, Aleena repeats the question. "Ah yes, you see I will be overseeing all operations for the embassy and court meetings."

"Wait… what?! Embassy?! What embassy?" Sonic questions.

"Why the Mobian Embassy your majesty," the head butler answers.

Sonic and Nico get a sick look on their faces looking Aleena. "Mom, please don't tell us that…"

"Yep," she responses with joyful smile. "Your dorm house will be doubling as the embassy for Mobius. Along with, you will be acting as official representative for the royal family and Mobian Empire."

The two brothers have nothing but the look of dread on their faces hearing her statement. "Mom, you realize the amount of work you're throwing on to us add to that our schoolwork. We're going to be died before we graduate."

"Now… now boys no need to whine. Mika's office will handle majority of the work. You two will only need to review, approve or decline, or send back for rewrite." Aleena looks at her watch then says, "Dinner will be ready soon, why don't you head to your room and check that everything was delivered."

Sonic looks before saying, "That's easier said than done mom. There's what… like a thousand rooms from the looks of it."

"There are exactly, one hundred and seventeen rooms in the whole manor. Seven five master bedrooms with full baths, seven executive suites, three spa/ meditation combine rooms, nine training rooms with a fully stocked armory ranging from modern day to medieval weaponry from both Earth and Mobius, although all weapons will remain the training area unless direct approval from Captain Sisko or Director Tomcow. Next there are three super kitchens and two normal everyday kitchens with fully stocked food supplies, three ballrooms, three conference rooms, and one throne room for days that you will need to hold court or embassy functions. Lastly, there is the vault, an engineering and manufacturing lab, from your personal require, a library with a wide variety of books and material, a safe room for emergency situations, the GUN Situation and Command room or the GUN SITCOM for short, and finally your personal executive office your majesty," Norman details out from memory. After finishing, he looks at Sonic to see the blue hedgehog with whirlpool eyes. "Young master, are you ok?"

It takes a second, but the two brothers get their brains to reset. Sonic voices, "Yeah, we're cool. Just hearing all that was a bit overwhelming." He turns to look at his mother, "Forget calling this place a dorm house! Mom, you turned this place into a palace!"

"Well, you can say it services three functions," Aleena fires back.

"Three?" Sonic and Nico ask in unison.

"One as your dorm, two as an embassy, and three as your palace," Aleena smiles. The next part makes the two siblings ears peak up, "Given the total cost, I think getting three in one is a pretty good deal. Don't you think Norman?"

"Yes your majesty, for one billion dollars, I believe that was well worth the cost."

"One billion dollars? Mom, where did you get that cash from?" Sonic question.

She gives him a sweet innocent look, "Why from the rulers of this palace, you two." Sonic and Nico go dead face hearing this; a second later, they start to flip out while bounding off walls. From Norman's point of view, there are over fifty Sonic bounding everywhere while saying numerous things. It is doubled for Aleena. They are both laughing at their reactions before Aleena can get out, "Oh, I can't take it, you two are just too easy get rioted up. Now calm down, I was joking. I paid for everything not including your extra addons."

Sonic and Nico freeze in place hearing the news. After quickly compositing their selves, Sonic fires back with, "That messed up mom! You had us losing it like crazy."

"Yup, now hurry to your room."

Sonic looks at Norman with a lost expression, and lead butler says, "Your room is located on the top floor in of the east hallway. You are the seventh room down."

Sonic is still lost when Cortana chimes in, "I know the way Sonic! Let go!"

Twenty mins later, everyone is dining room enjoying dinner together. After the main course, Aleena looks at everyone then says, "Everyone, next week I will be heading back to Mobius."

Kell asks, "Your majesty, did you think that is wise? Given that not all offers and proposals a have not be closed out?"

"Sonic and Nico will be able to handle those items, and you all will be helping. Mika and her office will continue to delegate duties and tasks to everyone. This also includes, you three as well," Aleena states looking at her elder children. She looks back everyone with a smile, "I know that each you will do great in school and at your royal duties."

The following week Aleena and the leadership leave for Mobius. The night before classes started; Sonic, Nico, and Cortana are in his room reviewing another data cache sent by Marcus. "Well guys, what do you think?"

"Dad is obsessed with making puzzles. I taught we were on the right track using Talon's letter as the encryption key, but looks like it was a onetime use," Nico states rubbing his eyes.

"Damn, we got no choice but to start from square one," Sonic comments with arms crossed looking at the information scrolling on the screen. "The real headache is going to be to figuring out what the new encryption key is."

Cortana adds, "The real horror will be if we have to find a key for each document. If that happens, it will never end. What we need is a master encryption key. Sonic, the orb you have is it any use?" The blue hedgehog shakes his head no. "Well fuck! Now what do you we do? Because you are not about to get me to run all-nighters it just to find a common path through all the data."

Nico states, "No, we don't have to do that." The others look at the werehog waiting for him to continue. "If we can't find a common link in cyberspace, then we need to find something more physical."

"Meaning?"

"Like Talon's letter, dad left an encryption key that led us to his tribe and grandma. So…"

Sonic picks up this train of through, "He must have left another clue in the village, and maybe he left a master key there as well."

"Sounds like we need to take a trip to see the pack," Nico boosts with a fanged smile.

Cortana closes the screen while saying, "Sounds like a plan, but it's going to have to wait until next weekend."

"What?! Why?" the hyper hedgehog asks.

"You do remember, we have school in the morning, right?" the blue AI fires back.

"Oh yeah, I forgot," he laughs with his hand behind is his head.

She can only roll her eyes in response before looking at her watch. "It's a quarter to twelve, and we need to be up early."

Nico stops her before she shuts down the holo-screen, "Before you go, I'm curious what our friends in DECSEC are up to."

Cortana pulls up the data, "Hum… looks like they have been laying low as well. From what I can tell, they don't have anything planned as of now."

"Although that can change in a heartbeat," the werehog comments. "For the time being, keep your ears open."

"Roger that," she replies closing everything up. "I have to give it to Queen… I mean Aleena. She had a room built in for me, but it sucks I have too good to school as well."

"You're lucky they put in the college division," Sonic comments.

"Oh, that's right I forget to tell you," she replies. The two boys have confused expressions on their face. "After you left to go talk with Leo, I asked Director Tomcow to put me in the high school division instead."

Nico says with confusion in his voice, "Why? With your brain, you'll just said right through those courses."

"That's what the director said as well. Don't get me wrong she's right, but I lack those critical and creative thinking traits. Yeah, I created and execute a perfect plan, but a wrench in like what happened in New York. If it wasn't for Motoko and the Tachikomas backing me up, those hacked GUN robots would have made it to where the survivors were. I need to be able to think outside the box and without my connection to my server core."

Both brothers are impress hearing their friend's logic. "That's way pass cool Cortana," Sonic states. He looks at the clock and sees '0001'. "Our first of day school, sounds like a blast."

The dawning sun rises in the sky, it's shining light piercing through the darkness all around finally into the bedroom of a certain hedgehog. The light sits on face only making him stir and turn away from the window. Within their dreams, the pair hears a voice calling out to them. "… up… you… wake…!" The voice continues to try and break their sleep barrier, but the voice finally says, "Fine you're on your own!"

They are able to return to their peaceful sober for a while longer, but suddenly they are shaken by a loud noise shattering their sleep barrier. Sonic sits up with yarning with his disheveled quills. He grabs the source of the sound. He looks at the clock with his sleep filled eyes seeing the time '0735'. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Sonic screams.

Norman washes the morning dishes and laughs hears the blue hedgehog panicking. "Oh my, things are starting off with a bang this morning."

"Nico where's my shirt?!" Sonic exclaims dashing into the closet and tearing through his shirts.

"How the hell should I know Sonic! Where are my pants?!" Nico shouts back running into bathroom brushing his teeth and quills while trying to put on his boxers.

"Those aren't your pants! Ahh! Where are my shoes?! Ah my books!" Sonic panics grabbing his backpack and stuffing notebooks, data pads, and other supplies all the while putting on his shirt.

"Wait not those shoes dumbass!" Nico cries out finally getting the right pants while hopping around and putting on his socks. Next, he grabs their crown stuffing in the backpack.

"Stupid! Not that!" the hedgehog shouts running back and forth in their room like a crazy.

"Outta the way!" the werehog commands running on all four in his full form.

Nico looks to the right while running. "Sonic watch out that…," he tries to warn, but it's too late and blue hedgehog steps on the peel and goes sliding 'AAAAHHHH!' and crashes into the closet door. "Banana. Are you ok?"

Sonic pulls himself away from the door. He walks in a daze for a moment then looks at his watch and sees '0740'. He freaks out again shouting, "No time! We're late! Late! Late!"

Norman waits in the kitchen pulling toast out if the oven. He adds two strips of bacon with scramble egg and adds honey on top. A moment later, he hears two sets of footsteps rushing to the stairwell.

*Boom* "Ouch. Manic! What the hell?!"

"Watch where you're going?!"

"What?! *BEEP* Fuck! Not good! No time!" Sonic shouts running down the stairs.

Norman stands near the door holding two plates. "Don't forget your breakfast young masters."

They speed by grabbing the food saying in unison as they rush out the door, "Thank you Norman."

"Have a good day. Hum… I wonder if they will make it in time?" Norman questions then looks at the clock. "Seven forty-five. It will be close."

Manic rides his hoverboard alongside his speedy brother. He takes a bit of his morning breakfast bagel then says, "Running a little late this morning ay bro."

Sonic looks to his left with a smirk on his face, "We could say to the same about you, there surfer boy."

"Well, I went to bed late. I was working on a new potion compound, and I wanted to finish it before going to bed. What's your story?"

"Nico and I were going through the letters dad left behind for us, we tried to crack another clue in his journal, and we got into deep conversation with Cortana about school."

"Sound like you got into some deep and heavy things," Manic comments.

Sonic finishes his bagel before saying, "You got that right; plus we learned something new about Cortana. Anyway, we better kick up the pace or…"

They come to fast stop hearing someone yell out, "NO! STOP! YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!" The brothers look at each other before running in direction of the voice. The two reach the scene on backside of a campus building. They see a horse on the left, a male human on the right, and gorilla in the center. They surround a yellow-orange fox towering the 5'2" tall student. He holds some kind of device tightly in his arms as the gorilla tries to take it from him. The four of them wearing the same all black uniform with four golden buttons lined down the center of suit coat and black tie with the gold school emblem at the center of the tie. Sonic, Nico, and Manic know that they are all students from HEC. They closely monitor the situation unfold while planning their attack.

The gorilla bully says while tugging on the device, "Listen you little shit, you're give me these power gloves, or my boys and I are going to break you face."

The young fox resists by pulling back and keeping the gloves close to him, "No way! These things belong to the engineering club! We have worked months on these, so we can enter them in the engineering fair. What would you use the power gloves for besides bullying other innocent people?!"

The horse student says with a chuckle, "Bullying who said anything about bullying. Think of it as field test, we'll make sure there are no bugs or issues."

The young engineer continues to struggle against gorilla's attempt to take the power gloves. "Do you think I'm stupid or something! I know you'll just it for something illegal, and the blowback will fall on the club. So just forget it!"

The gorilla gets fed up and releases his grip on the gloves, but just as quick he slams his big hand around the fox's neck squeezing tightly while lifting him off the ground. The fox drops the gloves puts his hands around the naturally over strong gorilla's arm. He struggles to breath as the attacking bully threatens, "I think you forgot who the fuck you are talking to! When we want something, you will hand it over with no questions, when we tell you something you do it, and I can do anything I want when I want to. Now, if want to break your neck there is no-fucking-body that can stop me."

As he finishes his statement, the bully increases the pressure around the fox's neck squeezing off his air supply. He starts to black out; they hear Manic say, "Wow, that's no way to treat a follow classmate, and breaking someone's neck is not only against the rules, but you would be breaking the law." They look up to see the green hedgehog overhead sitting on his hoverboard. "Now drop our friend or you'll be sorry!"

The gorilla lessens his grip on his victim, but he keeps the fox pinned to the wall. "What makes you think I would listen to you?"

Manic stands up on board with a confidence smile on his face, "Because if you think of picking a fight with us, sorry but you're outclassed, outmatched, and, with just me alone, we will overpower you. Why don't you just give up before you make a fool of yourself, or better yet before we make a fool out of you."

The human student says, "Oh yeah! You and who's army?"

From behind, they hear Sonic say, "This army of two!" They turn to see the blue hedgehog standing there with a smile on his face. "Now put him down or get ready to dance."

The gorilla bully keeps his victim pinned while looking at Sonic, "Who the fuck are you?"

"Well, unless you been hiding under a rock for past three months you would know who I am. Although, looking at you, the three of you combined don't have enough brain power or intelligence to comprehend major world events." The three turn around to face the hedgehog head on allowing their victim to drop to the ground. He coughs filling his lungs back up with air and vision return to normal. Sonic looks pass the bullies at the fox and ask, "Hey dude, you good?" He coughs a few more times before giving a thumbs up. "Cool! Once we're done with these jokers, let introduce ourselves."

The gorilla growls while cracking his knuckles, "You're not going to be good once we're finished with you."

"I'm telling you now; you are no match for me. Why not do the smart thing and walk away."

"FUCK YOU!" the gorilla student screams throwing a wide haymaker at the head of the blue prince.

Sonic only folds his arms with a smirk and not moving an inch. The attack hits his blue shield. To the surprise of the attacker, Sonic is unaffected. He growls in anger and throws another a power filled punch only to have it hit his shield again. He keeps throwing punch after punch without pause until he yells at his partners to jump in. The three mercilessly lob punches, kicks, and anything they can at Sonic. After couple of minutes, Sonic looks at his watch to see seven fifty. ~Not good! We're running out of time!~

Sonic unfolds his just as his attackers back away. The gorilla leader shouts out, "STOP BEING A FUCKING PUSSY, AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN!"

"Alright. As you wish, besides we wasted enough time on you jerks. Get ready! GO!" Sonic exclaims while moving so fast the bullies lost sight of him. Just as quick, Sonic appears first next to the human and knees him in stomach then punches him sending the human sliding backwards. Before the other two can react, the blue hedgehog disappears again leaving the other two guessing where he vanished to. The horse bully gets a punch to side of his face; then he feels his tail being pulled to the point that he is pulled off his feet and sent flying. He crashes to the recovering human knocking them both back to the ground. The final bully is caught off guard when the blue speedster stops in front of him. He punches at Sonic, but only ends up punching air. Sonic keeps appearing and disappearing before the attack connects. He appears again pointing behind him, "Hey, I am over there!" The gorilla has a confuse expression while turning his head, but then he sees Sonic in the corner of his eye. Now with a gleeful expression, he punches at Sonic. Only to find out that his goes through the image hitting the solid brick wall behind him. The bully grasps his hand seeing the fingers swell, and his exposed knuckles start to bleed. He falls to his knees with tears in his eyes. Sonic stands in front of him with a winning smile. "Oh, that looks like that hurt. You know hitting a brick wall isn't good for your hand, and you should go to see a doctor about that. First, let me help you up," Sonic states grabbing his bruise, possibility broken, hand. Squeezing tightly, resulting in the gorilla to yell in pain. He pulls with great ease lifting his opponent off his feet into the air and right at his friends, and the three are sent rolling backwards.

After a couple of seconds, they get back to the feet running away while the gorilla shouts backs, "JUST YOU WAIT BITCH! I'LL GET FOR THAT THIS!"

Manic's gets closer to the ground watching them run. "Well, bro you sent them packing."

"Yeah," Sonic starts off, but ends up shout at the fleeing bullies, "HEY! I'LL PLAY WITH YOU SOME OTHER TIME!" Manic only shakes his head with a smile. They turn to look at the saved victim. Sonic walks over offering a hand to help him up, "Man, those jerks really had some nerve picking on people, and trying to steal someone's else hard work, just makes them even worst in our book."

The young fox takes Sonic's hand getting up. "Yeah, and Tim's line about putting the power gloves through a beta run is just a cover from them to use it to attack other students. Anyway, thanks for helping for me. I never thought I would run into your majesty."

"Please, just call me Sonic, and this is brother Manic."

"Nice to meet Sonic and Manic, my name is Miles Prowler, but everyone just calls me Tails."

~Prowler? I wonder…~ Manic thinks to himself.

"Well, Tails its great to meet you," Sonic replies.

"Hum… Sonic and Tails," Manic states while looking at the two. "I don't know way, but that sounds like it's a famous duo."

"What do you mean by famous duo?" Sonic questions.

"Ah don't…," Manic pauses in the minute of his sentence looking at his watch. "SHIT! IT'S SEVEN FIFTY-TWO!"

"FUCK! WE GOTTA GO! TAILS! YOU CAN RIDE WITH MANIC!" Sonic panics.

"I'm good!" he says grabbing the gloves and turns around to showing that he has two tails. His tails start to spin lifting his 5'4" tall slim tone body into the air.

"Wow! You have to two tails!" Manic exclaims.

"And you can fly. That's awesome, but we're wasting time flapping our gums! We gotta book it," Sonic exclaims. The speedy hedgehog grabs his backpack and while taking off at a fast rate he exclaims, "Out of here!" with Manic and Tails racing behind him.

In classroom 2-S, the students talk about their summer activities and the latest gossip. Amy sits at her desk looking out at bright clear morning from her third-floor window. The pink hedgehog's mind wonders back and forth from thinking about who the Moonlight Knight is to picking up the other conversations going on around the room.

Her classmate Jessica says, "Hey did you hear we are getting a transfer student?"

Jack replies, "Your kidding?! I thought our class was full?"

Tina answers, "Nope! Officially, our class is two students away from being at full capacity."

Another male student named Henry chimes in with, "Maybe that super fine blue prince will be our new classmate. Honey let me tell you, I wouldn't mind having a little one-on-one with that handsome hedgehog prince."

Cream then chimes in with, "Whoever it is must be so nervous joining a whole new school and class."

Yoshi cleans his glasses while adding, "Cream does make a good point. Whoever the students are, they are going to need someone to help them get around campus and get use to the code of conduct."

"That's easier said than done Yoshi," Ashley voices looking at the green Komodo dragon. "We are all too busy to babysit some newbies."

"Ash, that's harsh. We just can't leave them to fend for their selves. As class reps, Yoshi and you should be the first to volunteer," Cosmo comments. "What do you think Amy? You had to go through the same thing when you transferred to HEC."

The pink hedgehog turns to look at her green plant humanoid friend, "That was back in fifth grade, and I think we along with the transfer students are mature enough to handle things on their own."

"That's kinda cold of you," Cosmo comments just as Tails comes rushing into the classroom. She, Amy, Cream, and some of the other see that the young fox's uniform has tear at the collar and two of the four gold buttons left side are hanging by the threads. He makes his way to his next to Cream. While he sets down his bag and gets stuff pulled out, the green teenager and her adoptive rabbit sister look with great concern, "Tails, what happened to you? Why is your uniform torn up?"

"I had a run in with Hector and his goon squad," Tails explains.

Cream states with a worried tone, "Not again! You think he would have other things better to do than go after people."

The twin tail fox gives a happy smirk, "Yeah, but he won't going after people for some time now that he has a broken hand."

"WHAT?!" Henry chimes in, "Boy, I didn't know you threw down like that! How where you able to break his hand? Because if he comes at me with some bullshit, I want to break more than just his hand."

"Well, I didn't actually break his hand. He's the one that broke his own hand by hitting a brick wall."

Cosmo asks, "How did you manage to do that?"

"Well, you see in I was recused by…"

Tails it cutoff as the teacher walks into the while saying, "Quiet down everyone. Take your seats." The classroom quickly comes to order as everyone takes their assigned seats. The teacher waits for moment after everyone is seated, "Good morning class, I will be your government, history, literature, ethics, and homeroom teacher. My name is Professor Chris Knight. It's good to see you all again this for your junior year. I hope everyone had a restful summer and ready to give it your all this year. Before we get things cranked up, we have a new student joining our class. Will you please come in."

The door opens as the new transfer student enters the room. Whole class is in awe as he walks in to stand in front of the class. "Hello, my name is Sonic Hedgehog, and I look forward to being your new classmate."

"WWWWHHHHHAAAAATTTTTT?!" the whole class screams seeing the blue hedgehog prince standing in front of the classroom.

A second later, the air is bombarded with questions coming from all directions. Professor Knight yells out, "EVERYONE PLEASE CALM DOWN!" The room swiftly falls silent after regaining control of the room. "Now, Prince Sonic will be studying here from now until graduate school." He looks at Sonic asking, "Your majesty, do you have anything more you wish to add?"

"Yes sir, I look forward to studying and making new friends. Plus, if I may ask, and this can apply to you as well professor, please just call me Sonic. I only use the titles and things when I am on official duty. While I'm here at school or on the street I'm just a normal person."

"Very well said your maj… I mean Sonic. Ok, if there is nothing else, Sonic please…"

Yoshi rises his hand asking, "Sir, according to the record, we were supposed to have two transfer students."

"Oh that's right," Professor Knight comments looking at his roll book. "Odd I didn't see any other students at the office."

Sonic chimes in, "Sorry sir, I forgot to introduce my brother. He's also in our class as well."

"Yes, Prince Nico, but I didn't see him at the office. Is he not coming to class today?"

Sonic shakes his head no before his fur color goes darker, his tail gets longer, tip of the tail and quails fur color goes dirty white, and several other notable feature changes. In a deeper voice Nico says, "Hello everyone, my name is Nico Werehog Hedgehog."

Yoshi jumps in saying, "Hold on, you can't be Nico. You're just Sonic talking in a deeper voice."

"Sonic, I have to ask, why are you pretending to be your brother?"

"I promise you sir, I am Nico. Sonic and I share a body, but we are two separate people. If you like, I can go into my true form," Nico states while to everyone's surprise as his body starts to grow bigger and bigger. After a couple more seconds, everyone is in shock with someone have lewd thoughts looking at the now fully transformed eight and a half tall and huge muscled werehog. His uniform is stretched fit his body, yet it is tight in all right places. He looks at the professor with his burning bright emerald green slitted eyes. Nico sees Professor Knight shaking looking at him. He narrows his eyes; then looks back at the rest of the class with a deathly stare. Nico smiles showing off his pearly white fangs and sharp teeth. He says in deep beastly voice, "Let me try this again, hello everyone my name is Nico Werehog-Hedgehog it is a pleasure meet you. I look forward to working with you as your new classmate." He looks at Yoshi, "Now do you believe me?"

The young komodo dragon nodes yes in fear. Sonic shakes head, and tell his brother to switch out with him. A moment later, Nico reverts into Sonic's body as the blue hedgehog resumes control. He rubs back of his head with a friendly smile on his face. "Sorry about that everyone. Nico doesn't mean anyone any harm, and he not as big and bad as he looks. When you get to know him, you'll learn he's a great friend." He looks at the professor, "Where would you like for us to sit?"

Professor Knight quickly recomposes himself then says looking at his class layout, "Ok, take the seat next to Ms. Rose." He nods then heads to his desk. "Amy, please share you books with Sonic. Already, homeroom will be over in ten minutes, and you will have fifteen minutes to select your class officers. I need to need to gather a few things. Afterwards, we will start with literature," he states before heading out of the room.

Yoshi and Ashley stand at the front of the class, and the teenage girl says, "Ok, who wants to be nominated for class representative and senator. As previous officers, Yoshi and I would like to be re-nominated unless anyone has an objection." No one objects to her request, and she continues with, "Alright any other nominations?"

Another student rises his hand, "I nominate Sonic and Nico."

The hedgehog rises his hand, "I would be honored to serve, but Nico and I have to deal with enough politics just running the embassy. So, we have to decline the nomination."

"Ah," the student goes, before making another nomination.

Sonic starts to take out his notebook and pencils. As he gets setup, he senses something and looks up to see Amy staring at him. Everyone else is too busy talking about the nomination as he asks, "Is there something I can help you with?" She gives a huff and turns away from him.

Sonic looks back forward, and Nico comments, ~Rude much!~ She quickly turns her head looking in Nico's direction for who said something. He gets close to Sonic's ear and whispers, ~Bro, I'm telling you; if I didn't know better, I honestly think that she is able to hear us when one of us is in spirit form.~

~You are just being paranoid. You and I both know the only people can see and hear you are members of our family and Oracle. Just relax and pay attention when the professor comes back.~

Just as Yoshi and Ashley win reelection, Prof Knight comes back as bell rings signaling the start of first period. He starts the class by asking, "Alright let's get started, I assume everyone completed the summer reading assignment. Therefore, we are going to start with this: From the book you read over the summer, what characters would be seen as misunderstood in the real world?"

Everyone stays quiet for a minute until Amy rises her hand. The professor calls on her and she stands up saying, "Robin Hood would fall into that category."

"How so Amy?"

"Robin would be seen as both a hero and villain in both worlds. In our world, people would see him robbing from the rich as pure simply thievery, and since it would be seen as breaking the law, he would be branded as a villain. On the flip side, he would be seen as a hero to those who are indirectly or directly helped by his actions. Mainly, if he is stealing from those whom greed knows no bounds, then he is helping rebalance the scales of justice," she finishes.

Cream adds, "You could say that we do have a real-life Robin Hood."

"Who would that be?" Knight questions.

"The Black Rose Ninja," Sonic states gives quick side look at Amy. "She goes and brings to light the hidden and nasty acts of those in power and with great influence are doing for the sole purpose of enriching themselves even more."

The blue hedgehog's comment sparks a quick debate the moral standing of the ninja before the professor asks, "Alright, given a show of hands, who thinks the Black Rose Ninja is a hero?" Nearly everyone rises their hands. "Ok who would consider her to be a villain?"

A few hands are raised, but one hand particular draws everyone attention. Sonic can see all eyes on him then he gets up saying, "Everyone, please don't get the wrong idea. I don't see her a villain in the likes of Dr. Robotnik or Eggman, but she's not full hero either. I know what she is doing for those who can defend themselves is good, yet my major concern what is truly in her heart. Is she doing this for the greater good or for her own personal vendetta?"

"What are you talking about Sonic?" Amy fires making everyone look at her. "You of all people should know that the ninja is doing what she can stop the underhanded tactics and schemes rearranged by those greedy selfish people. They are the one she and DEDSEC go after."

"Your right, but it still raises the question 'Is she doing this to feed the monster of revenge within her?'," Sonic states.

Everyone talks among themselves for a minute; then Professor Knight says, "Well Sonic, since you got a good debate started, tell us book you read."

"Yes sir," Sonic replies. "Nico and I read Frankenstein. Doctor Frankenstein and his monster are both misunderstood characters. The doctor's experiments would be seen by the scientific and medical community as a violation of nature or great leap in the field of life science. As for the monster, he would be seen as nothing more than an abomination that plagued the land. In the real world, the monster in story would be Nico and I."

"What?!" everyone exclaims in shock.

Cream asks, "How would be considered the monster?"

"After we were born, members of the Council of Elders deem that if we were to remain joined together that everyone would see us as nothing, but a mistake created by our parents. I mean you have seen what Nico looks like in his normal form, and no one needs to lie when you saw Nico you were scared. The same was said about the monster in the book, and like the monster, Nico and I had done things that still haunts us. Plus, the monster was a collection of different dead bodies patched together. Just like the people in the story, the Elders saw that all my sibling having wolf blood in them as a terrifying aspect, but Nico and I have greatest amount. Like our dad, we are fifty percent hedgehog and fifty percent wolf. This makes us in some people's eyes a monster," Sonic concludes before sitting down.

The entire class including the professor are stun into silent hearing his comparison. The void of noise is shattered by Amy slamming her hands on her desk before shotting up from her chair. In a loud forceful tone she exclaims, "HOW DARE THOSE NO FOR GOOD OLD FOSSILS CALL WHAT BELONGS TO ME A MONSTER! SONIC! NICO! DON'T YOU EVER CALL YOURSELF A MONSTER! THE TWO OF YOU HAVE PUT YOUR LIVES ON THE LINE MORE TIMES THAN ANYONE CAN COUNT TO PROTECT ALL THOSE AROUND YOU! I WILL NOT ACCEPT WEAKNESS FROM THOSE WHO BELONG TO ME! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!"

Everyone has a shocked expression on their faces, and if looking to the eyes of a special person from their past, the two brothers see her eyes with red tinted iris. Without thinking, the two say, "Yes my queen. We hear and obey."

The pink hedgehog's eyes return to their normal emerald green color, but Amy is shocked to see everyone staring that her. She sits back down with her face burning. The professor nods and praises the two hedgehogs for their report and ask for another volunteer to give their report. Amy's mind wonders, ~What the hell was that? Why in the world would I say something like that? It makes no sense for me to say those things to him, and that surge of power, where did it come from? This is a little too much for much for me to handle. ~

Sonic looks at their classmate as he gives his report, but Nico is secretly looking at Amy. Bro what was that? Why would Amy saying something like that and why would we answer like that? ~

Without breaking eye contact, the super speed hedgehog says, ~You're guess is as good as mine, but really got my brain cooking is that power I felt coming from her. I know that we have encountered it before, but it can't be from the girl in our dreamscape. ~

~Now that you mention that, her energy somewhat resembles her before she give us the extra energy. ~

~Yeah, there might be a connection between them, and… No! She can't be her! Listen bro, focus on class and we'll worry about this later. ~

For the rest of the class, each student goes another until the bell rings for the next period.

The students make their way to the locker room to get changed out for PE. While in the locker room, Yoshi, Tails, and Henry turn just in time to see Sonic's back. The blue hedgehog's fur has uneven patch lines marks in different directions running long the full back. "Sonic! What happened to you back?"

"Huh?!" Sonic questions looking at the others. "Oh! Those are some training scars. Normally, after a majority injury, we can heal fast, but these scars are from attacks weren't deep enough to trigger rapid healing. Yet, the damage would take off our fur," Sonic explains.

Henry looks at the very well tone and built hedgehog. He asks, "So Sonic, do you have a future queen waiting for you? Or is the position still open for someone to fill." He finishes taking a seductive pose.

"Down boy," Tails jokes making everyone laugh.

After a couple of minutes, Sonic finally recomposes himself and gets out, "Not as of right now, no one holds that spot in our heart." ~I know that's a lie, but I can't go telling everyone that we're here in search of the girl from our dream. They'll think we have gone mad. ~

"Sonic, how many battles have you been in?" Yoshi asks.

The hedgehog taps his chin thinking, "If I think about, I will say over fifty or more." The statement makes everyone gasp. "What can I say, we were fighting a tyrannic mad man." Sonic puts on his shirt then heads out with the others. They make their way to the meeting room with where they see their other classmates along with students from two other classes. Sonic is also surprised to see is his other family members. "Yo sibs, what are you doing here?"

Manic and Silverfang turn around hearing his call. "Hey bros, you're in this class as well?"

"Yup. How are you holding up Silverfang?"

The silver wolf gives an approval nod, "It's been a breeze for far. Having Manic and Sonia in the same class is a plus. Although now I know how Nico feels walking around in this slim form, I feel like a wolf on a leash." He looks at Tails and points while asking, "Manic, is he the one you were talking about?"

"Yup."

Silverfang walks over the twin tail fox towering a full two feet higher. He takes a sniff then says, "Humm…, you're right. You got something special inside of you."

Before Tails can say anything, Sonia and other girls coming up to the boys, and Prof. Knight with another teacher comes up walking. Knight calls out, "Alright everyone quiet down." After everyone stops talking, he continues, "Ok, everyone for today's PE class, you will be playing capture the flag. Also, we will be guided by two members from GUN. You please join us." To everyone's surprise, Shadow and Rouge come walking up to the two the classes while he continues with, "If you don't know, this is special agent Rouge Bat and Shadow Hedgehog. They are members of GUN's Special Tactics and Reconnaissance Service aka STARS, and they are here today to help with today's activity."

The female professor standing next him who is also known as Professor Knight continues, "Today, Shadow and Rouge will evaluate your skills and abilities. You will be broken up into even number teams mixed with students from each class. Before we begin though, we will have an exhibition match with our two agents going up against two of your classmates."

The other Professor Knight states, "The two will be Sonic Hedgehog and Amy Rose."

"WHAT?!" they say in unison.

Sonic jumps forward, "Professor, can't we have another partner? I mean Nico and I can be our team."

Shadow counters with, "You know that you can't do that unless you are in super form, and the last thing we need to do is destroy the training field. Plus, not everyone can do what we do."

"That fact to the side," the male professor follows up with, "this exercise not only focuses your fighting styles, but the ability to work as a team."

Amy voices, "Why team me up with him? Can't I team up with Cream or Cosmo or another person from the other class?"

"I'm with her on this, Tails, Manic, Sonia, or Silverfang would be better suited partners," Sonic adds.

The female professor states, "That's just not possible." Sonic questions why, and she explains, "According to the assessment scores for your physical abilities, Amy and you are at the top of the class. Manic and the other are scored in lower percentile."

Sonic and Nico's faces are shocked but quickly turns to annoyance looks looking at his family members. He softy voices, "Those assholes, they goosed that their abilities. Why did I listen to you Nico? Go full power, you said. Let's show them what we can really do, you bragged. Now, look at the mess you got us in."

"Now if there are no more complaints," Professor Knight starts off, he pushes a button on his watch making a panel rise from floor. He presses a few buttons on the console making two elevator platforms come up. "Sonic and Amy take the left lift. Shadow and Rouge take the right lift." The team members do as ordered, then he follows up with, "Alright, wait for my signal."

As the platforms go down, Sonic has his back to the pink hedgehog, and he says, "Amy, leave this to me. You should find a place hind and…"

"Are you joking?!" Amy interjects. "Do you really think that I going to stand around and do nothing? You must be out of your mind." The elevator comes to a stop, but the door remains closed. She steps up next to the blue hedgehog, "Now, here's the plan. I will handle Rouge while you deal with Shadow. The moment an opening happens, you should go for it."

Sonic shakes his head stepping closer to her, "Fine, but the same goes for you. Plus, you should be careful about your move set. The last thing we want is them finding out that you and a certain someone share techniques." A second later, the door open revealing a rocky mountain terrain. "Please be careful and let's have some fun." The pair walk out and see their opponents walking up to them.

The pairs stop about twenty feet from each other. The professor's voice comes over the PA system, "Alright, you will have five minutes to capture Shadow and Rouge's flag."

Sonic looks at his ebony brother and says, "Hey bro, how about we throw down some tunes while we throwdown?"

Shadow summons his guitar while smirking then looks up at the observation deck, "Manic and Sonia can sing and play backup."

Manic asks, "Professors would you be ok with us doing this?" They look at each other then nod yes in response. "Ok sis, let's do this!" The two summon their instruments getting some mini applauses.

The black hedgehog looks back at his younger brother just as his summons his blue guitar. Sonic says while strumming the strings, "Let's do Dragon Soul."

The two hedgehogs race full speed toward each other at full speed. The second they meet in the center of the battlefield; they unleash a ferocious wave of punches, kicks, counters, and counter-blocks. Every attack that connects gives off a micro shockwave. After a couple more arounds, their fists connect, and force is enough to send the two brothers away from each other. Without missing a beat, Sonic and Shadow take off running around the field chasing the other.

The blue hedgehog appears up behind Amy. He places his hand on her shoulder while singing to her,

The ebony hedgehog follows his younger brother's move, but he grabs his bat girlfriend from behind giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. He then looks at Sonic and Amy singing,

The boys then dash at each other singing while their fists go flying at each other.

Everyone on the observation deck is focused on the battle unfolding in front of them. Silverfang is one of the ones that is more stirred by the fight. He feels his wolf's blood and warrior's spirit shouting out to join the battle.

Amy is amazed at the two siblings going toe to toe, but her attention is quickly refocused when senses danger coming towards her. Only a second before contact, the pink hedgehog dodges Rouge's opening attack. "We can't let the boys have all the fun. Let's see if you can keep up with me?"

Amy goes into a fighting stance that mirrors Rouge's stance. The white bat sings out while throwing blinding speed punches and wind generating kicks,

Thanks to Max's training, Amy can easily see the attacks and dodge without little to no hassle. She quickly launches a counterattack while getting caught up she sings,

Sonic and Shadow are back in close combat with each other throwing blinding punches. Every punch connects with the opponents' fist and with each strike the released energy grows more intense. The two have smiles on their faces, but Sonic and Nico start to fill the rush of their unleashed wolf's blood coursing throughout their body increasing their power making him sing,

Rouge and Amy continue to dance displaying their mastery of multiple martial arts skills. Their battle heats up even more as their attack speed increases along with their movement. To most, they look as if they are jumping from one area to another constantly in close hand to hand combat. Amy is so lost in the music; she sings out,

The girls pause of a nanosecond staring each other down with an assertive smirk at the other. In a flash, they charge back at each other ready for another round while singing in unison,

The two siblings race all-round the battlefield at times finding themselves fighting upside down while zooming through the air. All the while they sing happily,

Everyone in the stands is encapsulated by the music, battle, and the positive flowing energy. They feel the oncoming rush and can't help but jumping up singing,

(Audience)

Dragon Soul!

(music play in background)

While Manic and Sonia play furiously, Yoshi comments, "This is unbelievable? I saw Sonic and Shadow fight in New York, but up close and personal they are just awesome."

"Forget those two, look at Amy and Rouge," Henry states pointing at two.

Cream says, "I knew Rouge was skilled in combat being in GUN for so long. Amy on the other hand, I would have never guessed she can move and fight like this. On top of it all, they are blowing my mind seeing them at full power."

"Yeah! They are out of control!" Cosmo comments watching everything unfold, but her attention along with Cream's is drawn to their twin tail classmate seeing him pumping his fist into the air singing,

(Tails)

Don't stop, keep your spirit proud.

(Silverfang)

And ride upon the wind
All we have to do is gooooo!

The silver wolf and yellow fox look at each other feeling their inner warrior cry out unison,

(Tails and Silverfang)

Things come to a head as Sonic and Shadow land on opposite ends of the field pointing the tip of their guitars at each other. Blue and black energy balls form at tips and simultaneously fire say they shout "GOOO!"

The beams lock pushing against the other. This drives everyone nuts seeing the brothers push their power to max.

(Audience)

Don't stop, don't stop! We're in love now!

The beam lock continues to the point the energy explodes and reveals the two siblings playing their guitars alongside each other while singing with everyone.

(Everyone)

The moment the music stops they leap away to their respective teammate as they hide. Prof. Knight says over the PA system, "You have one minute remaining."

"Shit, we're running out of time!" Sonic exclaims peeping from their hiding spot to see the flag waving. "I could try and race over to get their flag, but Shadow is going to be just as or possibly faster than me especially with this gravity setting the way it is. I'm open to ideas if you have one."

Amy thinks for a moment just as Max appeals up, ~Use that move! ~

~Are you kidding? I don't know if I can fully control it,~ the pink hedgehog thinks.

~You can do it! You are strong enough; plus its time you give a everyone a taste of your true power.~

Amy nods at Max's idea then says, "Sonic, I have an idea, but I need you to cover me while I power up."

"How long do you need?" Sonic inquires.

"About thirty to forty-five seconds," she replies.

The blue hedgehog stands up; and gives her a thumbs up. "Leave it to us. We trust you," he states after giving a quick wink at her. Sonic jumps out of their hiding spot. "Hey big bro, lets finish this!"

Shadow and Rouge come out looking at the brave warrior. Shadow whispers to his girlfriend, "Keep your guard up. I bet Amy is sneaking around." She gives quick nod; then he calls out to his younger brother, "Do you think that you can end this? Well, bring it little bros."

Sonic closes his eyes and brings his fists to his sides focusing his energy, "As you wish." Sonic draws energy to his center making a blue aura body coat. When the energy peaks, he opens his eyes with a confident smile. He gets into a runner's starting stance; then looks up at the pair saying, "READY! GO!" In a flash, the blue hedgehog rockets off towards them. Shadow and Rouge get ready to fight, but to their surprise ten Sonics appear around them doing, saying, and moving in different ways.

"What the fuck?! Shadow, how did he split into multiple bodies?" Rouge questions while getting back-to-back with the black hedgehog.

"I don't know! Is he using Chaos Control?" Shadow questions.

In unison, all the Sonics say, "Good guess bro but no."

Amy gets into position seeing everything unfold, "Oh wow! He's good!"

~Come on, focus! We are losing time,~ Max states.

Amy nods; then holds out her hand summoning her weapon. Amy is shocked when her Piko Hammer appeals. She grabs the handle with her other hand trying to stop from losing her balance. ~Max, are you kidding? I can barely wield the hammer.~

~Trust me, you enough strength to do this! Enough yacking focus!~ Amy exhales closing her eyes while focusing her power into the hammer. Max guides her my saying, ~Good, let your energy flow into the hammer. That's it, let your power grab control and move the air around the hammer.~ Air starts to move around the head of hammer creating a strong gust around Amy. ~You got it! Now push more power in and get that wind moving!~ Amy follows Max's coaching making the wind stir up faster around her.

Sonic's wild moving clones keeps dancing around Shadow and Rouge. At times, one of the clones will do an attack run on the pair only to break off at the last second. "Damnit Sonic! Knock this shit off or come at me!"

"Ah, don't get mad brother. We are just trying out our new technique: Speed Clones. So tell me, what you think pretty cool right," the Sonics say.

"There's not time for games! We are here to kick your ass!" Shadow fires back.

"Shadow," Rouge calls out while grabbing his shoulder, "There's more to this then what we are seeing. Sonic may not be the true threat. For all we know Amy may be sneaking around us."

Sonic replies surprising the two as one of his clones was listening close to them, "You might be on to something."

A couple of seconds later, Amy's eyes spring open, and she shouts out, "SONIC! GO NOW!"

"That's my cue! Later!" Sonic exclaims making a mad dash towards the flag.

"Oh hell no!" Shadow voices chasing after him.

Rouge takes off heading towards the pink hedgehog, "Time to finish this."

"My words precisely! HERE WE GO! ROSE TORNADO!" Amy shouts while swing her hammer creating a giant wind twister.

The attack moves over battlefield with top of the storm touching the ceiling of the training room. Rouge is shocked seeing the tornado head straight for her. She quickly turns around trying to escape, but she is sucked in while getting thrown around.

Shadow is close on Sonic's tail until they hear Rouge screaming for help. They come to sliding stop looking behind them at the massive tornado. Shadow's face goes pale seeing his girlfriend tumbling over and over as she gets sucked in. She gives another bone chilling cry for aid when she sees a slab of earth comes flying straight at her. "ROUGE!" the black hedgehog screams only seconds before teleporting. Shadow appears in front of her catching her in his arms then teleports again to a safe distance with Sonic. "Are you ok?"

"Yes, but what was that? Where did Amy get that power from?" Rouge questions.

"I think the better question is can she control that power?" Shadow follows up.

Sonic watches at the tornado starts to move in the opposite direction. He quickly answers before dashing off, "We're going to say the answer is no!"

Amy struggles to keep footing as the intense wind goes even stronger by the moment. ~Max, I need help! I'm losing control! MAX!~ Amy feels her footing becoming less stable and the unthinkable happens when wind becomes too strong. "MAX! HELP!" she shouts as the force of the wind blows her up into the sky. The pink hedgehog screams as she is sent flying head over head. She tries to keep hold of the hammer, but a strong gust hits her hand knocking it out. "NOO!" she cries out, but her fears are multiplied as she spots sharp piece of rock coming right for her. Her eyes widen seeing her oncoming doom. "NO! NO! NO! PLEASE NO! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Amy shouts out, yet in her heart she cries out, ~Please save me! You promised to protect me no matter what! ~

"AMY!" A voice shouts making her look ahead to see Sonic flying towards her with his arms wide open. She lands in his arms, then he holds on tight to her as the rock comes slamming into to his upper back knocking the air along with a few droplets of blood out his mouth. He feels his grip weakening on her, but he will himself to not let go. ~BRO! ANOTHER ROCK INCOMING!~ Nico screams. Sonic forces his eyes open to see another giant slab of rock coming right at them. He quickly pushes Amy behind him taking the hit in the center of his chest resulting in with the sound of minor cracks with more blood forced out his mouth.

Amy can clearly hear the cracks, and she feels Sonic fight to keep hold of her. The force of the last hit sends them flying to ground. "Not good! We're going to crash!" she exclaims making Sonic act once more. He twists her so that she on top of him as they hit the ground with a powerful crash. Shadow and Rouge appear from a flash of black light. They rush over the body size crater to see Amy still on top free from any major injury. A second or two pass; then she looks down at the blue hero to make sure that he is still breathing. ~He saved me! He kept his promise,~ she states.

Rouge helps Amy to her feet feeling the heavy winds blowing in multiple direction. "At any other time, I would say that you did was amazing, but right now we need to know how to stop it."

Amy shows sadness on the face while saying, "I can't without my hammer; but even if I had it, I don't have enough strength to stop it."

Sonic says in a weaken tone of voice while slowly climbing out of hole, "Don't worry about it. Nico and I will handle this."

Shadow comments watching his brother barely able stand up and comments, "You two have got to be kidding! You look like you couldn't win a fight against a wet paper bag."

Sonic gets into a solid stance with a smile on his face, "If that's what you think, then watch this!" Sonic holds out his right hand summoning his blue sword. ~Ok Nico, what you do you see?~

~The tornado is rotating clockwise, you're going have to hit it with a counter rotation. Be careful bro, you took some nasty hits from those rocks.~

"I'll be fine," Sonic voices out loud. He closes his eyes focusing his power into the blade of the sword while softly saying, "Picture your energy spinning around the blade. Let the wind fuse the energy and rotate faster around the blade." Everyone sees the seven cycling rings of wind cycling around his sword. The blue rings glow brighter and move faster after each rotation. "That's it!" Sonic cries out. While swinging his sword he shouts out, "NOW CUT THROUGH THE VOID AND UNLEASH THE POWER. GO SONIC STYLE: SONIC WIND SCAR!" He swings the sword and fires out seven blue blades of wind energy straight at the tornado.

The moment the blades hit the tornado; they wrap around the outside shell. A second later, the blades move in the opposite direction of the tornado's wind making both so unstable that the winds' energy explode in a massive blast. The whole area is covered with blinding dust. As the dust starts to settle, the clock buzzer goes off as Shadow, Rouge, and Amy get off the ground. They are all shocked when the dust clears to see Sonic standing with the flag in hand. "We win!" he exclaims before falling on his face.

Prof. Knight announces, "The winners are Sonic and Amy!"

A moment later Mrs. Prof Knight is down on the battlefield checking on everyone, "Are you all ok?"

Shadow folds his arms in annoyance looking at his unconscious brother. "Yeah, but we lost."

"What do you expect? Amy and Sonic whipped out moves that we were not expecting! None the less, Sonic did save us," Rouge comments.

The teacher leans down to get a closer look at the blue hedgehog, "He is breathing, but he has some serious wounds."

"Just give them a little time, they'll be back to normal," Shadow states walking away.

"I don't think so," Mrs. Knight counters stopping the ebony hedgehog, "I want all you to go to medical. This is a direct order!"

Shadow rolls his eyes; then he tells Rouge to hold onto Amy while grabbing hold of Sonic's hand. They disappear in a black flash of light.

Moments after they arrive at medical, the nurse finishes with Amy and Rouge giving them some bandages and pain cream. The girls meet up with Shadow, and Rouge asks, "How you are holding up Shadow?"

He gives her side smirk, "Is that a joke? You think that little rumble could affect me?"

The white bat only shakes her head, "Of course, I should have known. How is Sonic doing?"

Shadow huffs, "The pup is still out."

"What?!" Rouge exclaims. "How is that possible?"

The examiner comes out and explains, "For some reason, his healing factor is not functioning normally. Add to that, Sonic to a great deal of damage; and with his energy his depleted, his wounds are healing slowly."

"Why?" Rouge questions.

"That, I don't have an answer to, so I need to go have a meeting with the director about this. We're shorthanded today, so will one you stay with him," the medical examiner states.

Before anyone has time to think, a voice rings out, "I'll stay with him?" Shadow and Rouge look at Amy surprised to hear her volunteer so quickly.

The examiner follows up with, "Great, I believe Sonic should be back up within an hour. Call me if you any issues," and with those words the examiner leaves.

Shadow states, "Well, we need to you get back. Good luck." He holds Rouge's hand; then they disappear in another flash of black light.

Amy walks to the bed where the blue hedgehog is. She finds him still out. Taking a seat next to the bed, she looks at him. The words of the examiner echo in her head. "'His healing factor is not working right'; I wonder if this has anything to with…" Suddenly, she sees a flashback of her in Sonic's arms. While holding her, she felt an unknown power constantly entering her body. "What was that energy? It felt like it was restoring me. Where did it come from?" She states while looking at her hand; then she rubs her hand over Sonic's forehead while asking herself "Was it Sonic?"

"What was me?"

Amy gives a surprise yep moving hand away from with him quickly saying, "You're awake?! What did you hear?!"

Sonic sits up still feeling pain in his back and chest. "All we heard, 'Was it Sonic?', so what did we do?"

Amy fires back while seeing them start to get out the bed, "It doesn't matter! What are you doing?"

Sonic states grabbing his shoes, "We are going back to class."

"Hold on, are you serious? After what happened to you…,"

"Yeah, we have be through worst. Besides, Nico and I can't just sit here all day; we have other classes to get to," Sonic states while making his way to the door.

Amy follows behind the blue hedgehog watching him occasionally; she notices that he slightly stumbles. She gives a quick huff and gets ahead of him blocking his path. "What is the matter with you two?"

Sonic gives her goofy look, "That is a pretty long list. Would you like it numerical or alphabetical?"

"Cut the bullshit! Tell me why you kept pumping your energy into me knowing that you would take more damage!"

The blue hedgehog exhales and says while starting walk around her, "To protect you."

Amy growls jumping in front of him again and shouting, "WHY?!"

"What do you mean why? You already know that answer."

"Don't give me that bullshit for an answer. This isn't just because of some dumb promise you made on the spot."

"What do you mean Amy?" Sonic questions as he folds his arms.

"Ever since I met you, you saved me five times."

"Five times?"

"Yes, five times! First, you protected Alex from bullies that might have killed him if you didn't step in, and you paid the medical bill all the while making sure that Acorn wouldn't find out. Second, that same night, you saved you know." He nods knowing what she meant and let her continue. "Third, you deny it, but I know in some way that the knight and you are connected. Along with the act that came with it."

Sonic objects by saying, "We went over this earlier, I was not the knight."

"Don't interrupt!" she commands. Sonic only shakes his head letting her continue, "Fourth, you stopped Sally from destroying The Grill, and me losing my job that would put Alex in danger. Now, that move you pulled in gym by giving your energy to heal and re-energize me. What is it with you? Why are you really doing this? Give me a real answer!"

"In truth, you wouldn't believe us if we told you."

Amy has a determine expression, "Try me."

"Fine. Can we move to a more private area?" She points to a secluded area. Once they are there, Sonic starts off with, "The real reason we do this is because," he lies his hand over his chest and continues with, "There's a voice inside that tells us to protect you."

"What are you talking about? You haven't answered my question."

Sonic exhales then states, "Fine here's the whole story. Over four years ago during our final battle with Robotnik, our limiters overloaded and were close to self-destructing."

"Limiters? What limiters?" Amy questions. Sonic points to his choker. "Oh come on, that's not limiter; it's just some fancy assertory."

Sonic givens an annoyed look and counters with, "This is no accessory."

"Oh yeah…"

Sonic quickly recites, "Seven rings of light reveal!" Amy is shocked to see is the seven rings appear on the blue hedgehog's body. "Like we said, not an accessory." Amy only shakes her head in acknowledgement. He de-summons the rings and continues with, "As I was saying, our limiters overload and shocked us to the point that we fell unconscious. We were forced into the dreamscape where we met a girl who we knew that we are destined to be with. She protected us from a fucked-up form of our father."

While listening to Sonic's story, Amy is surprised by quick flashes of unknown memories. She is shocked to see Sonic and Nico's arms wrapped around her. ~What is this? Where am I? Why does this feel so familiar? What are Sonic and Nico doing here? ~

Sonic continues while Amy sees things play out in front of her, "Our father had us cornered ready to break the bond between us until she stepped in to stop him. She saved us by imbuing her power into our limiters." Sonic starts to tear up feeling the sting of despair in his heart. Amy starts to tear up being overwhelmed by the surging emotions. While choking back tears Sonic tells her, "After she did that and before she transformed in a crystal and shattered, she looked at us and said…"

Amy jumps in as if in a partial trance saying, "I'm sorry, but I am doing this to protect you. Know this there will be a price that you must pay for me doing this. You will not know true peace or rest until you find and become one with me once again. However, I will not remember you when you find me. Your heart will yearn, and your spirits will cry out until you are beside me once more. I will see you again. Until then, know I love you, Sonic and Nico." She snaps out of her trance shocked at her own words. Even more, she looks at Sonic to see a deathly shocked expression. Amy quickly covers her mouth with tears draining down her face.

Sonic shocked expression quickly changes to a look of bewilderment and growing happiness. After couple of seconds of processing and reprocessing her words, he is able to get words out, "What… what… what did you say? Amy, how do you know her precise words?" He continues to ask multiple questions holding up his hand while slowly moving to her.

Tears continue to pour down her face with hands over mouth and backing away from Sonic. "No… no… noo… stay back! Please no… how can this be… how can I be? Her… those memories…?"

"Amy…" Sonic states closing in on her.

Amy quickly snaps forward seeing Sonic within breathes reach of her. Quickly acting, she gives him an unrestricted full power punch at Sonic's chest driving the air from his lungs. All the color goes from his face, and he falls to his knees. Amy screams out before running away, "STAY AWAY FROM ME!"

Sonic struggles to speak while reaching out towards her as his vision goes black, "Amy… who… who are you?" With last of his strength, Sonic falls to the ground passing out.
