Chapter 35.
Deadlock.
(Scott POV)
I woke up, and went to check on Chloe and Clara there were still asleep so I went and got showered and dressed into my Uniform and then got some Coffee and some breakfast. Then I headed up to the Bridge, Where I heard Sam Wildman just went into labour.
Only thing is that it's been 7 hours and still nothing yet.
"This is Ridiculous, It's been 7 hours, How long does it take to deliver a baby?" Tom said.
"As long as it takes Tom," I said.
"Indeed," Tuvok said. "During the birth of our 3rd child, my wife was in labour for 96 hours,"
"4 days," Harry said.
"I have learned that pregnancy and patience go hand in hand," Tuvok said.
"You know, I didn't expect to be this nervous, It's not even my child," Chakotay said.
"In a way, this child belongs to all of us, It's the first baby born on Voyager, I just not sure I should be welcoming it on board or apologizing," I said.
"Captain," Chakotay said.
"Voyager isn't exactly anyone's idea of a nursery and the Delta Quadrant isn't much of a playground," I said.
"My Father had a saying, Captain, Home is wherever you happen to be," Chakotay said.
"Anyone think they know what it is," I said.
"Boy," Chakotay said.
"Same," Harry said.
"I don't know," Tom said.
"I would rather wait and find out as normal," Tuvok said.
"What about you, Captain?" Chakotay said.
"I'm going to say Girl," I said.
"Captain, long range sensors are picking up heavy subspace communications ahead, They're Vidiian," Tuvok said.
"All stop, A ship?" I said.
"At least 20 ships within sensor range, I am also detecting a G-type Star System with 2 inhabited planets, Lifesigns, Vidiian," Tuvok said.
"Sound like we are headed right into their territory," Chakotay said.
"And I'm no mood to donate any Organs today, Options, Tom," I said.
"There's a large Plasma drift, Bearing 40. 7," Tom said. "It extends almost half the length of this sector, The interference from the Plasma should block us from their sensors,"
"Good call, Lay in a course at full Impulse," I said. "Tuvok, Deflectors at maximum,"

"We're clearing the Vidiian System, Captain," Tom said.
"Take us out the plasma drift and resume our previous course," I said.
Then we got hit.
"What was that?" I said.
"We hit some kind of subspace turbulence as we were coming out of the Plasma drift, I can't tell if," Harry said.
"What the hell?" Tom said.
As systems were flicking on and off. Even the lights.
"Captain, the warp engines just stalled," Tom said.
"Go to impulse," I said.
"Impulse engines aren't responding, Manoeuvring thruster are out too," Tom said.
"We're losing main power," Harry said. "Switching to backup power,"
"Red alert," I said as the klaxon went red. "Bridge to Engineering, report,"
"Our antimatter supple is being drained, Captain, I don't know why," B'Elanna said. "The Containment fields are in place, It's like we sprung a leak, but I can't find the crack,"
"B'Elanna, Try infusing the warp core with repeated proton bursts, That should be enough to keep it going," I said.
"I think I can generate enough protons in the sensor array for a burst every 30 seconds," B'Elanna said.
"Do it," I said.
Then we got hit again.
"What was that?" Chakotay said.
"It appeared to be a proton burst," Tuvok said.
"Already?" I said. "Bridge to Torres, Report, Engineering Respond,"
"Captain, 3 EPS conduit just ruptured in Engineering. They took heavy casualties," Harry said.
Then there was another one. Then another one.
"Bridge to Sickbay," Harry said. "There's been a Major Coolant leak in the mess hall, You've got more wounded on the way,"
"Acknowledged," Doc said.
"Torres to Bridge," B'Elanna said. "We're definitely being hit by proton bursts, But I don't know where they're coming from, I never even started the procedure,"
"She's right, The main sensor array is offline," Harry said. "Not a single burst was fired,"
"Yet the bursts appear to be originating from within the ship it's like they're coming out of thin air," I said.
"Captain, these Burst are weakening the Structural integrity of the hull, We cannot take any more," Tuvok said.
"Can we increase power to structural reinforcement," I said.
"Our antimatter supply is too low," Harry said. "There's just not enough power to go,"
Then there was another one.
"Hull breach on Deck 15 section 29 Alpha," Tuvok said. "Emergency forcefields are offline,"
"Captain I've been working on a way to enhance our portable forcefield generators, It might be enough to seal that breach," Harry said.
"Go," I said.
Then another one.
"I've analyzed the bursts on all spectral frequencies, There still no indication of where they're coming from," Tuvok said.
"At this point, I don't give a shit where they're coming from, I want them stopped," I said. "Chakotay do we have enough auxiliary power to magnetize the hull? It might cushion the impact of the bursts,"
"We have just barely enough," Chakotay said.
"Give it a try," I said.
Then there was another.
"Torres to Bridge," B'Elanna said. "Harry is Dead and Kes just disappeared,"
"Disappeared?" I said.
"I can't explain it," B'Elanna said. "She just vanished, There seems to be some kind of spatial rift right where she disappeared,"
"Can you determine where it leads?" I said.
"Stand by, I just threw a piece of conduit into the rift, Just as it vanished, I detected another Oxygen/nitrogen atmosphere," B'Elanna said.
"Another atmosphere?" I said.
"Whatever's on the other side of that rift there's air, Maybe Kes is still alive" B'Elanna said.
Then there was another one.
"B'Elanna get out of there the hull breach is widening," I said. "I'm evacuating the entire deck,"
"You don't have to tell me twice," B'Elanna said.
"The Main computer core is failing," Tuvok said. "Switching to backup processor,"
Then another one.
"Chakotay, are you ready to magnetize the hull," I said.
"Standby, I'm having trouble with the Alignment module," Chakotay said.
"Try remodulating the field emitter," I said.
Then Another one came knocking me down.
"Chakotay," I said.
"I've got alignment," Chakotay said. "Magnetizing the hull, I think it worked,"
"Let's hope so," I said. "I want a full damage report from all decks,"
"Are you all right Captain?" Tom said.
"Just a scratch," I said.
"It's more than a scratch, maybe you should go," Tom said.
"I'm fine Tom," I said.
"Damage reports are coming in, The hull breach on Deck 15 has widened to include deck 14 section 12, and there are 632 microfractures along the hull's infrastructure, All primary systems are offline, We are running on emergency power only, the antimatter supply has dropped to 18% and is continuing to fall, Warp coils in both nacelles have fused and are inoperative, The environmental control systems are failing, 15 crew members have been seriously wounded with plasma burns 27 experienced other injuries, The doctor is setting up triage facilities in sickbay and Holodeck 2," Tuvok said. "I must also regretfully report that Ensign Wildman's Baby didn't Survive,"
"I want an engineering team to seal those micro-fractures before they become breaches," I said.
"Aye, captain," Tuvok said.
"Tom grab a medical Tricorder and go assist the Doc," I said.
"Right," Tom said.
"Commander, you have the bridge, I'm going to talk to Ensign Wildman, Maybe I can help," I said.
"Hold on," Someone said.
Then another hit.
"The magnetic field is collapsing, The hull is depolarizing," Chakotay said.
Then another one hit.
"The Fire suppression system is out," Tuvok said.
"Warning Hull breach on Deck one Emergency forcefields inoperative," Computer said.
"Everybody out," Chakotay said. "Go, Go, Go. Hurry, Captain,"
"I'm trying to reroute emergency power to the field emitters," I said.
Then another hit.
"Captain," Chakotay said.
"I can seal this breach," I said.
Then another hit and made a fire right in front of me.
Then I headed for the Turbolift and Saw basically me, Chakotay, Harry all there.
"Captain let's go," Chakotay said as the version of myself was looking at me. Then I headed for the Turbolift.
(On another Voyager made by the turbulence. Was Another Scott POV)
I just saw a verison of me run into the Turbolift, then vanished.
"Captain," Chakotay said.
"Harry. scan the bridge," I said. "I just saw myself cross the bridge and enter that turbolift. It was very faint almost like a ghost image, and I looked like hell,"
"Captain, there was a minor spatial fluctuation on the bridge, but it was only there for a millisecond," Harry said.
"Bridge to Engineering, B'Elanna how long until we can use the main sensor array?" I said.
"Another 3 hours," B'Elanna said. "We're only about halfway through the proton burst procedure,"
"See if you can sped up the process, We need the sensors as soon as possible," I said.
"Understood," B'Elanna said.
"Harry modify a tricorder to scan for spatial anomalies, Go over every centimeter of this Bridge, Examine the sensors logs from out trip through the Plasma drift, Look for anything unusual, I'll be in Sickbay," I said.
"Aye captain," Chakotay said.
Then I headed down to Sickbay.
"Good news, Our baby is perfectly healthy, There's no sign of any interspecies abnormalities," Doc said.
"Our baby?" Sam said.
"A figure of speech, I am in part responsible for bringing her into the world," Doc said.
"Hello there," Sam said.
"Congratulations, Sam, She's adorable, Any ideas of a name," I said.
"Not yet," Sam said. "I really thought it would be a boy,"
"So didn't Chakotay and Harry," I said.
"What about you," Sam said.
"I kind of had a feeling it would be a girl," I said. "Oh, She's beautiful, Let me know as soon as you decide, I needed something to do so there a blanket all set up all that's missing is an initial, Get some rest, Sam, How's our other patient doing?"
"She's still unconscious," Doc said.
"I ran a microcellular Scan, We're almost identical in every way," Kes said.
"Almost?" I said.
"There's a slight phase shift in their DNA," Doc said. "Do you have any theory about where she came from?"
"Not yet, But I intend to find out," I said. "Can you wake her?"
"I believe so," Doc said.
"Good," I said. "Because I think she's going to have an interesting story to tell,"

"I was running through the corridor with my medkit, Deck 15, and then, suddenly I felt dizzy, and my vision started to blur, after that I don't remember anything, Until you woke me up just now," Kes said.
"You were found unconscious down on Deck 15 holding a medkit," Kes said.
"We also found this lying next to you, It's apiece of damaged conduit Our analysis shows it's from Voyager, Deck 15, Section 29 Alpha, Bulkhead 052, But there's no damage to deck 15 or anywhere else on this ship," I said.
"There was massive damage to Deck 15," Kes said.
"The evidence would seem to suggest that you've come from a different ship, a Different Voyager, We did find a spatial rift on Deck 15, It's possible that it somehow connects us to this other Voyager," I said.
"If you're right where is the other ship?" Doc said. " A parallel Universe, Dimension? point in time,"
"I'm not sure," I said. "Almost everything about the Voyager Kes described is identical to ours, we've had similar experiences, similar personal histories, We both entered a Plasma cloud to avoid the Vidiians, Both of our engines Stalled as we left the cloud, Which caused both of our antimatter supplies to drain, then we both decided to keep our engines running by emitting Proton Bursts, but after that, Our experiences diverged, We started emitting the Proton Bursts, They didn't,"
"Our ship was being damaged by proton Bursts, We couldn't figure out where they were coming from," Kes said.
"That's more than a coincidence, McCall to Engineering, B'Elanna, Stop the Proton Bursts immediately," I said.
"But if we stop now, the power levels will," B'Elanna said.
"I'll explain later, B'Elanna," I said.
"Understood," B'Elanna said.
I don't know how, but there's another Voyager out there, and I intend to find it," I said.

I was on the Bridge with Chakotay, B'Elanna and Harry.
"We analyzed the sensor logs from our trip through the Plasma cloud, We couldn't find anything unusual, until we ran a Quantum level analysis, Remember that subspace turbulence we hit just before we left the cloud," Chakotay said.
"Yes," I said.
"Well watch what happens," Chakotay said.
"At first we thought it was a sensor aberration, But they were in perfect calibration at the time," Harry said.
"So I ran a multispectral analysis on the subspace turbulence, It was more than just turbulence, It was some kind of divergence field, and the moment we passed through it, all of our sensors readings doubled, Mass, Energy output, Bio signatures, everything," B'Elanna said. "Every particles of matter on the ship seems to have been duplicated in that instant,"
"So where's the other ship," I said.
"As strange as it sounds, Captain, According to these readings, another Voyager is right here, Right now, Occupying the same point in space/Time, That we are," Harry said.
"Quantum Theorists at Kent State University an an experiment in which a single particle of matter was duplicated using the divergence of subspace fields a spatial scission," I said.
"If the same forces were at work inside the plasma cloud, they may have duplicated every particles of matter on Voyager," Chakotay said.
"Matter, But not antimatter," I said.
"Captain," Harry said.
"In that Kent State experiment, they were able to duplicate normal matter, but when they tired to duplicate antimatter particles, the experiment failed," I said.
"So the antimatter on the ships, wasn't duplicated, Both engines have been trying to draw power from a single source of Antimatter," B'Elanna said.
"Like Siamese Twins, linked at the chest, with only one heart," I said.
"So what do we do?" Chakotay said.
"I don't know, But whatever it is, we're going to have to coordinate it with the other ship, Start working on a way to communicate with them," I said.
"Right," B'Elanna said.
"The only like we know of is on Deck 15 the spatial rift, We're going to need a way to send Kes back through safely," I said.
"We could rig a portable phase discriminator, It might protect her from the spatial transition," Harry said.
"Get on it," I said.

Then I was down in Engineering. With B'Elanna.
"It's a little harder to establish a com link than I thought, Captain, the molecular signature of the second Voyager is slightly out of phase with our own, I can't get visual, Audio, nothing," B'Elanna said.
"Have you tried remodulating the Com-frequency carrier?" I said.
"5 times on 47 different frequencies," B'Elanna said.
"There has to be a way, If they were recalibrating their carrier wave at the same time, so we could match phase variants, would that allow us to connect?" I said.
"I think so, But in order to get them to do that we'd have to communicate with them first, It's the Chicken and the Egg," B'Elanna said.
"Maybe we need something a little more primitive is there a signal we could emit on all subspace bands just to get their attention?" I said.
"A rotating hand pulse might do it, But it wouldn't be much more than a shrill whistle," B'Elanna said.
"That might be enough give it a try," I said.

I was in Engineering and I saw Clara with Chloe, They were okay. Clara was holding onto her as she saw me so she was about to run at me, But Clara whispered something to her making her stop and easy back into Clara.
"Captain," B'Elanna said. "All of the ship's command functions have been rerouted to Main Engineering,"
"Welcome to the new bridge, Now let's see about," I said. Then there was a shrill tone. "What's that?"
"I don't know. It's some kind of Com emissions coming through all subspace bands," B'Elanna said.
"Coming from where?" I said.
"Good question," B'Elanna said. "I can't tell, but it's got a Federation Signature,"
"Try recalibrating our frequency carrier to match it," I said.
(Back to the Spatial Scott POV)
The Shrill came through.
"That's it," B'Elanna said. "They recalibrated and locked onto our Phase Variant,"
"What kind of communication can we establish?" I said.
"Not much at this point, We can use the emergency encryption code for a short message, Not more than 5 seconds," B'Elanna said.
"That should be enough," I said.

"That's the Emergency code," I said. "Run it through an Alpha numeric sequencer,"
"I think Someone's telling us to lock onto a frequency of 12 gigahertz," B'Elanna said.
"Do it," I said.
"I'll try to clear it up," B'Elanna said As I went over.
"Okay, Is it only me seeing that," I said.
"Scott, This isn't an illusion, What you're seeing is real, but it's going to take some explaining," The Version of me said.

"There are 2 Voyagers and 2 Crews?" Chakotay said.
"That's what I was told," I said.
"Could this possibly be some kind of Subterfuge, Captain," Tuvok said. "An Alien deception?"
"Afraid not, He knew things I haven't told anyone, Even knew about the damage from the proton bursts, Sam's Baby, Kes Disappearing She even knew that when I was 16 years old, I was the Lacrosse Team Captain till the day I left high school," I said. "Even knew my best friends real first name,"
"And his explanation of how the ships were duplicated certainly plausible," B'Elanna said.
"If it is true, what do we do about it?" Tom said.
"My Counterpart has suggested we try to merge the 2 ships, Recreate the subspace divergence field we passed through and then depolarize it," I said.
"Both ships would have to send out a massive resonance pulse from their deflector dishes at exactly the same time," B'Elanna said.
"They may be able to do that, But we barely have enough power for life support," Chakotay said. "How can we get enough to send an energy pulse of that size?"
"We could evacuate all the crew to this deck and cut off life support everywhere else, Then we could divert all power to the deflector dish, B'Elanna, Re-establish the com link with the other ship," I said.
"What have you decided then?" Scott said.
"We think we can channel enough energy to our deflector dish to try the merging process," I said.
"Good when can we start?" Scott said.
"We'll need at least 15 minutes to make our preparations," I said.
"We'll be ready," Scott said.
"We'll only have enough power to try this once, The ZPM module down," I said.
"I understand," Scott said then cut the link.
"Chakotay, Tuvok begin the evacuation process," I said.
"Aye captain," They said.
"I'll tell the Doctor know he'll have to rely on his back power supply," Tom said.

"We're ready, Captain," B'Elanna said.
"We're standing by, Scott," Scott said. As I switched it back on. "i think you should lead in this operation since you may have to make allowances for your weakened power systems,"
"Then let's go, B'Elanna, and B'Elanna, Charge the deflector dishes," I said.
"Deflector dish charging, Capacitance levels are rising, 60%, 85% 98%, We're ready to create the subspace divergence field," B'Elanna said. "Initiating, Power flow nominal, Captain,"
"Synchronize computer event timing, Ready to release depolarization pulse on my mark," I said. "Now,"
"The pulses have been emitted, Captain, The fields are starting to depolarize, But we aren't merging, In fact we're going further out of phase," B'Elanna said.
"increase power to the Deflector dish," I said.
"I can't too much Plasma backflow, If we keep this up, We're going to lose our Antimatter connection," B'Elanna said. "We'll both be destroyed,"
"Shut it down," I said.
"Aborting resonance pulse," B'Elanna said.
(Back to the Spatial Scott POV)
"What went wrong?" I said.
"I'm not sure, I think the plasma flow became too turbulent, the divergence fields were so chaotic we couldn't complete the merging," B'Elanna said. "We've lost the com link as well. Captain, the Antimatter leak? it's becoming a haemorrhage, If we don't start the Proton Bursts, We'll be completely drained in 30 minutes,"
"The lives of both crews are at stake here, I can't make unilateral decisions that might affect that other ship, McCall to Kim," I said. "Is the spatial rift still stable?"
"I think so, Captain, and I've rigged a phase discriminator, Kes should be able to go back safely," Harry said.
"Rig another one, Harry, I'm going with her," I said.

This should protect you form the spatial transition," Harry said.
"Keep trying to re-establish a com link between the ships," I said.
"I will, But Remember, We have fewer than 30 minutes of antimatter left," B'Elanna said. "Whatever you do over there, do it fast,"
"Got it, Ready," I said.
"Yes," Kes said.
Then we walked through and there was the Damaged side of Voyager.
"It's gotten worse here," Kes said.
"Command Control is in Main Engineering, Let's go," I said.
(Back to the Original Scott POV)
"I don't know how else to stop the Antimatter drain, Except with proton Bursts," B'Elanna said.
"We can't do that, We'd damage the other ship just like this one, We need another plan," I said.
"I agree, Captain," Scott said. With Kes. "And I think we need to talk,"
Then we headed up.
"By my estimates, our antimatter supply will run out in less than half an hours," Scott said.
"The Attempt to even Merge our ships is throwing us further out of phase, The Quantum cohesion on both Voyager is breaking down," I said.
"Just like the original Kent State experiment, The duplicate Atoms couldn't occupy the same point in Space/ Tim for very long before," Scott said.
"Mutual Annihilation," I said. "Regression to the Mean,"
"What are our options?" Scott said.
"Let's try a different tack, In stead of trying to merge the 2 ships, let's try to separate them, Maybe we could divide the Antimatter between us," I said.
"I'm afraid not, We've been studying that theory, B'Elanna tells me that any attempt to disrupt the Antimatter supply would destroy us all," Scott said. "What about evacuating your crew to my ship? It might get crowded, but we could manage,"
"We've been studying that theory, B'Elanna tells me that sending any more than 5 to 10 people through the rift would radically alter the atomic balance of the 2 Voyager's We'd both be destroyed," I said. "You should return to your ship and run a metallurgical analysis, Find out the precise phase modulation of your hull, I'll do the same here, Maybe we can find a way to realign the phase displacement,"
"You're going to self Destruct Voyager," Scott said.
"What makes you say that?" I said.
"Because that's what I would do if your Voyager were intact and my Voyager were crippled, My crew wounded or dead, I'd sacrifice my ship so that yours could survive," Scott said.
"Then We agree," I said. "Go back to your ship,"
"I didn't say I agree, I said I understand I'm not willing to let you make that sacrifice yet, We haven't explored all the options," Scott said.
"Yes, we have and we both know it, This is my ship and my call," I said.
"I'm not going to let," Scott said.
"I've made my call, Don't make me call security and have you escorted off my ship because you know I'll do it," I said.
"Here I thought Derek and Deucalion were bad enough with 2 Alpha's in the same territory," Scott said. "All right, I'll go back, But give me 15 minutes to come up with another solution, After that it's your call,"
"15 minutes," I said. "Good Luck,"
"To both of us," Scott said.
Then He left.

On the Bridge.
"Okay, I've managed to re-establish a com-link with the other Voyager," Harry said.
"Hail them," I said. "Captain, I have an idea,"
(The Original Scott POV)
"Actually, it was yours, It might be possible to realign the phase displacement between us," Scott said.
"We don't have time to try it, My plan is the one that's going to work," I said. "It's time that we both accept that,"
"We've got a Perimeter alert," Tom said. "A vessel is approaching bearing 005 mark 318, They've just dropped out of Warp,"
"Can you Identify them?" Chakotay said.
"They're Vidiian, Sir," Tom said.
"Red Alert," Scott said.
"Shields," I said.
"Still offline," Chakotay said.
"Scott, we're picking up a Vidiian ship heading this way, Can you see them too?" I said.
"Yes," Scott said.
"Do you have Weapons?" I said.
"Stand by Tuvok," Scott said.
"Negative Captain we had to reroute power to compensate for the Antimatter loss, It would take several hours to bring weapons back on line," Tuvok said.
"What about the Drones?" Scott said.
"Off line as well since they are on the same System link," Tuvok said.
"What," I said. "B'Elanna, If we get out of this, Fix that,"
"Captain, They have fired an energy weapon," Tuvok said. "All hands brace for impact, Damage control teams stand by,"
But nothing hit.
"What happened? They couldn't of missed," I said.
"Maybe they hit the other Voyager," Chakotay said.
"Hail them," I said.
"I've lost the Com-link again," B'Elanna said.
"Try to get it back, Tuvok, Get security teams on Deck 15,If Vidiian get through there, Kill them," I said.
"Aye Captain," Tuvok said.
(Back on the Spatial Scott POV)
"Our weapons are gone," Harry said.
Then we got hit.
"They are cutting an access route through the hull on Deck 5," Tuvok said.
"Get security team on it, Set phasers to kill," I said.
Then Tuvok left.
After a few minutes, Chakotay came back.
"Commander," I said.
"They've got everything below Deck 5, And I don't know how much longer we can keep them away from the bridge," Chakotay said.
"Harry, How many Vidiians are there on this ship?" I said.
"347 and more are boarding," Harry said.
"We're out numbered 2 to 1," Chakotay said.
"I've got an incoming subspace signal, It's from the Other Voyager, They must have re-established the com link," Harry said.
"Onscreen," I said.
"Scott this comlink might not last much longer what's happening over there?" Scott said.
"We're been boarded. The Vidiians are on the verge of Taking over Voyager," I said. "Are they on yours?"
"No, We think they can't detect our ship, Scott I can have a security detachment cross the Spatial rift and board your ship in 4 minutes," Scott said.
"No, If we do that, The Vidiian will become aware of your Voyager," I said.
"I can't just sit by and let you die," Scott said.
"I'm not about to let that happen, I'll destroy this ship," I said.
"I don't suppose there's any way I can change you mind," Scott said.
"True, But there something I can do for you, I'm going Harry through the rift with Sam's Baby, Somehow it seems only fair," I said.
"We'll be waiting for them, Give them," Scott said.
"I will," I said. "Just make me a promise, Scott, Get Voyager Home,"
"I will," Scott said.
"Harry, you got 5 minutes, go get her," I said.
"Captain," Harry said.
"Move it, Harry, That's an order," I said.
"Yes, sir," Harry said leaving.
"Computer, Initiate the self destruct sequence Authorization McCall Pi 110 Omega 47, Set it 5 minutes Silent Countdown, Enable," I said.
"Warning, Self destruct sequence have been initiated. Warp core overload in 4 mins, 55 sec, There will be no further audio warnings," Computer said.
After a few minutes the Vidiians made it to the Bridge.

"Tuvok to McCall, Ensign Kim made it through the rift, With the infant," Tuvok said.
"Acknowledged," I said.
"Captain the Vidiian ship has been destroyed, so has the other Voyager," Chakotay said.
"Start getting the Engines back online, Then get us the hell out of here," I said.
"Aye Captain," Chakotay said.

"Captain's log Stardate 49548.7, There are no signs of any pursuing Vidiian vessels and we have resumed a course towards home, End Log," I said.
Then I was in Sickbay.
"Repair efforts are underway, Lt Torres estimates we'll be able to return to the bridge within 3 days," Tuvok said.
"Good, I don't how much longer B'Elanna can tolerate my standing over her shoulder in Engineering," I said.
"Hm," Tuvok said.
"Tuvok is there something on your mind?" I said.
"I am curious, Captain, Before the Vidiians attacked, When you were in disagreement with your other self," Tuvok said.
"Would I have given the order to self destruct our ship? I'm gone over that moment a thousand times in my mind, The truth is, Yes, I would've given the order," I said. "But I will admit, there was a part of me that could see his point of view,"
"One could say that you are both the doubter and the doubted, I do not envy the paradox of logic you were faced with in that situation," Tuvok said.

Then moved over.
"Am I allowed to go back to my temporary Bridge now, Doctor," I said.
"By all means," Doc said.
Then Harry and I headed off.
"It's good to have you back, Harry," I said.
"Thank you, I think," Harry said.
"Something wrong?" I said.
"I'm not sure, I mean, this isn't really my ship, and you're not really my Captain, and yet you are and there's no difference, But I know there's a difference, Or is there? It's all a little weird," Harry said.
"Harry, We're Starfleet officers, Weird just comes part of the job," I said.
