Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or Monster High. I do not own the original story this is based on.

Danny stared in disbelief as he recognized his girlfriend. The ordinarily pale and ghostly Spectra was in a Casper High as a fair-skinned human. While some attributes, like her violet hair and icy blue eyes, remained, everything else was changed for a human appearance. Although her clothes also remained their usual, by monster standards, gothic attire gave off a unique, mysterious vibe. This caught the attention of every guy and some other students in Casper High, who soon surrounded the new girl.

Spectra blushed at the comments thrown at her. The ghost girl, while pretty, was never met with such attention before. At monster high, she was just another face, but being a monster disguised as a human made her stand out more. This made her almost shake in anxiousness as she stepped closer to Danny.

"Um, Danny?" she whispered. "Is there a place we could talk in private? Or at least without a lot of people around?"

Danny, who was gobsmacked, shook his head as he now comprehended the situation of his ghostly girlfriend, Spectra, visiting the school in a human disguise. He recalled earlier conversations about items in the monster world that could do that, but he didn't think it would be so soon after hearing they were sold out.

"...sure. Follow me," Danny said, dragging Spectra by her hand as Sam and Tucker followed.

The goth girl kept everyone at bay with a surly glare, mostly at those who whispered how she had lost her chance. Anyone who paid attention knew of Sam's feelings for Danny. And most knew to back away where they were concerned. Slowly, Sam lurked away as some boys stood in place, mostly the nerds who sometimes feared her.

Managing to avoid the crowd, Danny took Specta outside, to the side of school no one hung around. This was the only place students came to either skip class or sneak smokes away from the faculty's eyes. The lingering smell of smoke was spread throughout the building wall, making the ghost boy move more to the corner, where it would be better to breathe.

Tucker kept watch at the ends of this hangout. He'd glance around the corner but ensured Sam was standing in her spot. The goth kept her eyes on Spectra, full of mixed emotions caused by teenage angst.

"That was...fun, I guess," Spectra said as she recalled the attention as she caught her breath.

"Yeah, sorry about that." Danny rubbed the back of his head nervously. He never thought something like this would happen with his girlfriend. Then again, he knew his status at the bottom of the social totem pole meant stuff like dating a hot girl could cause waves again. "Normally, everyone ignores me."

"I see. Was it wrong for me to come here then?"

"No. No. It's just that I hadn't expected to see you so soon. I thought you'd be looking for the next big story," Danny explained as he held her hand. With a slight squeeze, the boy conveyed how he wanted the girl to stay.

"I was, but fright now, nothing else is happening. I have some leads, but nothing big." Spectra got out her iCoffin and showed the online forums she had gone through. From discussions on Deaddit to videos on FrightTube, there was nothing that seemed remotely interesting.

"Oh, sorry to hear. Especially after everything we went through back with Bill Cipher."

"It's fine, but I still need help walking. How do you get around without floating?" Spectra kept her balance but had to lean against the graffitied wall for support. Never had the ghost girl been so conscious about how she moved. It was quite frustrating.

"By putting one leg in front of the other," Sam interjected. The goth girl took the moment to insert herself between the ghost boy and ghost girl, staring at the latter with arms crossed and daggering glares.

"Just what do you think you're doing here? In case you haven't noticed, Amity Park isn't exactly friendly to most ghosts," she whispered through gritted teeth.

Spectra was taken back by the goth girl's intrusion. While Sam's feelings were on her sleeves, that did not mean she could put herself between the ghostly couple whenever she wanted. However, such topics were put on hold as some students were seen walking over, signaling it was time to move somewhere else as Tucker came to tell everyone.

Walking away to a secluded part of the lawn with a few trees, the group stopped under the shade, sitting down to avoid any more prying eyes. Danny grabbed everyone as he briefly made them invisible, losing any remaining tails as they resumed their conversation.

"So, Spectra, what are you doing here?" Sam took hold of the conversation, leaning into the ghost girl's face.

"I came into town with my ghoulfriends after hearing of a special monster event being held here. But when I heard it was in Amity Park, I had to visit Danny while the others toured the town," Spectra said, pushing back the goth.

"You...just came to see me?" Danny asked, blushing madly.

"That and I wanted to show you this event, like another date." Spectra blushed madly, keeping her eyes locked with the ghost boy's. "Is there a problem?"

Sam was held back from retorting at Spectra's question by Tucker. The boy knew it'd earn him a mean glare at best, but he didn't want Sam to ruin the moment between Danny and Sam. With all his might, the goth was pulled away as far as possible, a few yards at best.

"No! I mean, no." Danny rubbed the back of his head, nervous as he searched for the right words. "I was just surprised to see you so soon after Weirdmageddon."

"If you mean the article? I've managed something, but it's not much without the photos. Besides, Weirdmageddon was fangtastic with all its gorey details!" Spectra said, pulling out her iCoffin to show her few photos. There wasn't anything to show Bill Cipher or his henchmaniacs, leaving key details out.

Sam and Tucker stared, not used to monster slang. The latter was more invested in the conversation than the former as she glanced over Danny's shoulder.

"I was also hoping to take a look around." The ghost girl gestured to the campus. "I was thinking about doing an article about normies."

"Excuse me!?" Sam stormed up to Spectra, marching into the ghost's personal space and jabbing a finger into her chest. The term normie had become a trigger since last time, daring to categorize the goth girl and her sense of individuality. "You want a fight?"

Tucker immediately pulled Sam away, knowing there was no avoiding the culture clashing with Sam's personal philosophies. While he wasn't as athletic as his gothic friend, the boy managed to keep his friend away as Danny instinctively took Spectra by the hand.

"If you want to see the school, I can do that. Let's start far away from here!" Danny said as he dragged his girlfriend around. He brought her to the entrance, empty of most students save for the social middle class and some lower class.

Spectra looked around as she saw many students staring back. In contrast to monster high, the humans stood by trees and sat on a few picnic tables scattered around the school grounds. Most kept to themselves, focused on social media and the latest trends. Some were seen hanging out in the fountain or flexing at each other. Not to mention the non-social students, hiding somewhere for some peace.

"Phasinating." Spectra took some photos. "I take it there's no Casketball court or Dodgeskull nearby?"

Tucker and Sam, who followed, raised a brow at that terminology as they glanced at Danny. The ghost boy shrugged, used to the slang since dating the ghoul, as he whispered how they would get used to it.

"That's...something else...here. And later in the tour," Danny replied. He was going to have to explain the terminology of the human world. Hopefully, it was only different in name. The idea of skulls being thrown brought various images that scared him.

Going through the doors and into the halls, Danny showed her the uninformed classrooms of Casper High. Though different in subject and year, the rooms were the same with rows of desks in front of the teacher's counter and board. A dull repetition of ancient education attempting to appear modern.

"So, you have classes here. Do you put your books in lockers too?" Spectra asked, snapping more photos.

"Well yeah. Everyone gathers their books in the hallways and lockers. Not to mention run before being shoved into one." Danny muttered that last part to himself.

Spectra heard the mumbling but nothing else. And that's all she got as Dash ran over and shoved himself between the two. The jock was angrier than usual as he grabbed Danny by the collar and tossed him at the lockers.

"Listen up, Fenturd. Since you left without explaining yourself, I'm gonna beat it out of you," Dash said, cracking his knuckles. The kiss with Felicia had him worked up beyond recognition, but seeing another hot girl with his usual target boiled his blood. "You're gonna explain why you have a hot girlfriend when that stupid dating service kicked my out for no reason!"

Danny got up, only to be held by his shirt by one hand as the bully reeled his other back. A swift punch to the stomach and the ghost boy found himself held against the locker.

"Dash look. I have no idea how, but if you ask me, seems more like your problem," Danny retorted.

"Well, it's your problem now!"

"Leave him alone!" Spectra yelled, grabbing her boyfriend away from the bully. As she inspected him, a smirk was seen on the ghost boy, indicating that the bully's attack was barely a scratch, but he returned to looking hurt to avoid further beatings.

"Ok, why the heck are you with this loser?" Dash seethed with part of his face turning red. "He isn't even a quarterback, or at least a waterboy. Get with the program, babe. Losers don't date, unless they're other losers, like Manson."

"Back off, Dash!" Sam yelled as she and Tucker caught up to the ghostly couple. The goth was ignored as Dash focused on Danny.

"I bet he paid you or something. Yeah. That's what he did." Dash reached for his wallet and pulled out a few twenties, forcing them into the couples' faces. Danny had a mild panic attack no sooner did he see the back of the bill. The pyramid with an eye was one of the most famous images similar to Bill Cipher's form. This had made the ghost boy's breath hitched as he sweated profusely. His eyes dilated as they honed in on the picture, remembering why he was asking his parents for a card to use.

"Danny? You alright?" Spectra asked.

She got no answer as Danny's silence was misinterpreted by the jock.

"Ha! Fenturd paid a girl to go out with him! I knew it!" Dash gloated, pointing at Danny with arrogance. He laughed loudly, elbowing his posse to do the same before having the surrounding student join in by force. However, only a couple of the students joined in.

"Oh please." a nerd named Mikey came forward. "We all saw Felicia kiss him at the Nasty Burger. He probably met her at the dating service like most of us did."

That had the boy shoved into a locker, where he remained for a few minutes into class before being freed by the janitor. A fate anyone who spoke up to Dash shared.

The jock dusted his hands as he went back to flirting with Spectra, only to see how she had disappeared with Danny.

"Now, let me make things right," Dash said as he shoved Fenton into another locker. He leaned into Spectra, trying to act suave. His face almost invaded her personal space, making the ghost girl retreat from his terrible breath.

Spectra wanted nothing more than to overshadow the boy and humiliate him through various acts against his will. But there were repercussions for that, both in the monster world and in Amity Park. Plus, she could not do so, even if she wanted to. This meant a more human approach was necessary, with the ghost girl typing away on her iCoffin.

"Nice phone. Need a few pics?" Dash asked, flexing his body with a cocky attitude. He was unaware of Spectra's true motive and still was as his own phone went off. The boy picked it up and grinned widely, running past everyone as he left.

"Well, that worked out better than I thought it would," Spectra commented. With the big blonde annoyance out of the way, the ghost girl went to unlock her boyfriend out of the closed locker. Once opened, said boyfriend was seen upside-down uncomfortably as he fell down, greeting the floor in a manner he had forgotten.

"Great, I remembered why I didn't want to remember this feeling," Danny snarked. He propped himself up, seeing an outreached hand from Spectra and Tucker. He looked around as he noticed the absence of one quarterback.

"Thanks, but how did you manage to get Dash to find something more interesting than bullying me and arrogantly flirting with the nearest skirt with a pretty face he could find?" Danny asked as he saw a mischievous yet cute smirk on his girlfriend.

"Oh, just a prank call about a hot girl wanting to meet...on the other side of town," Spectra explained as she helped Danny.

"Have ever told you that you're the coolest ghoul I've met?" Danny said, looking at the ghost girl with awe and appreciation.

"Thanks, but it wasn't nearly as cool as all the stuff you did back in Gravity Falls." Spectra said as she blushed at hearing Danny praise her actions.

"I still can't believe you went to Gravity Falls and actually took on a chaos god." Tucker got out his PDA, showing something he typed in. He brought up a webpage showing Soos from Gravity Falls fixing stuff. "Not to mention got to meet that Soos dude who makes these awesome fixing it videos."

Spectra nodded in agreement to the former as she hugged Danny from behind. "It was the most unexpected experience."

"I can't believe you still haven't found a therapist yet," Sam added in concern.

"Hey, you try finding someone you can trust not to out your secret identity. And before you ask, the monster world may be more accepting, but I still need someone I know I can trust. There is no superhero therapy clinic," Danny retorted. Mentally, the ghost was a nervous wreck. As if the incident with the dollar bill wasn't enough, he would have hallucinations for the rest of the week.

And that would the best outcome. Anytime Danny saw something reminding him of Bill Cipher, he'd see the chaos god everywhere. The worst time had been a trip to the museum on Egyptian culture, making him fail the test afterward after seeing Bill write threats in his paper. Granted, it wasn't real, but Danny would need some help at some point, or he might go insane.

Seeing Danny's inner turmoil, Spectra put a hand on his shoulder and gave him a small kiss. She blushed after realizing the latter action but knew the ghost boy needed more emotional support. Bill didn't make things easier, especially when she heard he appeared in the ghost boy's dreams.

"Danny...if you need anything, just call me." Spectra let go of the boy, giving a concerned face. "I know the nightmare bubble was a lot, considering there are still people in Gravity Falls who needed to be committed, but I'm here for you."

Sam, who had been glaring at the ghost girl after the kiss, paused with a look of stupor before coming down to earth after hearing the word nightmare bubble.

"I'm sorry, but is what Spectra said true?" Sam walked up to Danny, as did Tucker. The techno-geek put away any tech as he listened closely. "You basically went into a bubble that was made of pure madness!? How is that possible!?"

"Dude!? How are you not insane?!" Tucker added.

"Hard to say." Danny rubbed the back of his neck. He sighed, trying to relax. "I want to say all the ghost fights, but you never saw anything like Bill Cipher."

Despite his best efforts, the ghost boy wasn't fooling anyone. Paranoia and nervousness enveloped his body as his eyes darted around the hallway. Danny gave a slight jump in his optics and gave a small grimace before taking a deep breath.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Spectra asked.

"What? Oh, yeah. Sure." Danny waved his hand as Sam and Tucker went to his side.

"Uh, Danny, I'll say what I want about Spectra later, but are you sure?" Sam commented. Glancing at her best friend's forehead, she saw trickles of sweat forming.

But Danny reassured them as the final bell for school rang, indicating the learning session was over. His friends and girlfriend watched as the boy went to his locker to grab his books for homework. All the while, he tried to ignore his mind tearing itself apart.

"You should tell them the truth." Danny ignored the voice as a tiny Bill Cipher appeared on his shoulders, top hat and madness in all. "Cause let's face it, I'm gonna haunt you for the rest of your life. It'll be like an eternal sleepover of pain, misery, and suffering, like daytime television or the news."

The ghost boy did his best to ignore the tiny Cipher, focusing on his girlfriend and showing her around town. The group walked out of school, seeing Dash being scolded by Coach Tetslaff for trying to leave early. It seemed the jock forgot about football practice or how the coach despised any students trying to play hooky, no matter how late it was.

"So, where to first?" Danny asked.

"Uh...not to sound like a buzzkill, but first, you might want to take your books home," Tucker said.

Danny sighed, forgetting about his backpack for the time being. He shook the sack and the contents inside, weighing the number of hours it would take to finish all of his assignments and still study for tests. This did not even account for the inevitable ghost attack that could take longer.

The group walked down the streets, taking the scenic route for Spectra to take photos. The monster world and human realm seemed identical in many ways, bringing out the ghost girl's curiosity. But there was one lingering question on her mind.

"Um...we won't see your parents, fright?" Spectra asked, rubbing her hands together.

Sam and Tucker seethed loudly, remembering how Spectra was still a ghost dating a ghost boy whose parents were ghost hunters. There was a lot of danger in that one sentence, and they couldn't ignore that.

"Don't worry, we'll take our time." Danny squeezed her hand. "Besides, they're not gonna meet you until we're ready."

Spectra smiled, squeezing back. However, before anyone said anything else, everyone noticed the ghost boy's ghost sense just went off as a light blue mist floated out of his mouth. What's more, when the said ghost appeared, the untimely arrival of the Fenton Assault Vehicle ramming into it cut the fight as the spirit was reduced to ectoplasm spread across the streets and kids.

Sam and Tucker had stepped back, not wanting to explain to their parents why they were covered in ghost goo.

Danny wiped off what little he had as Spectra turned pale. Had she been a ghost, this would've been the normal shade, but her living flesh dropped all color as she stared at the ectoplasmic remains on her body.

"Spectra? You ok?" Danny asked.

She started shaking as Jack, and Maddie Fenton jumped out of the vehicle, noticing her holding hands with her son.

"Danny!" Jack shouted. The ghost boy jumped back as he saw his parents run out the door, landing in the gooey mess. A bear hug encompassed them both before the father let go. "Did you see that?! The new Fenton Battering Ram installments work like a charm!"

Maddie Fenton was seen holding a beaker to the messy RV windshield, collecting ectoplasmic samples from the remains before closing it with a cork. Putting the container away, the woman went to her husband as she studied Spectra.

"Danny! Who's this?" She asked with excitement. "Is this the Spectra we've been hearing about?"

Danny gulped as he felt the ghost girl's grip tighten. He could see her shaking, and it hadn't stopped. Spectra was scared about what could happen next.

Whatever was going on in her mind, Spectra knew the next few minutes would be a total mind trip.

This has been too long in the making. Pardon the delay, but I should have mentioned this if I had not. When I first started writing these side stories, I was mostly interested in writing one of the ghost girls. When I started Spectra's side story, I realized I had to gut some plot from Danny and Phantasma. So things may take longer for the ghost girl side stories because I want to ensure they have some originality while using congruent key details. That said, next chapter, expect a sense of deja vu, as it is on purpose.

Invader Johnny: Indeed!

Jebest4781: Thanks!

LockAndKey989: The X-Men idea is interesting, I'll have to work that in. I have an idea for Star Vs. the Forces of Evil to appear. Star Butterfly did appear in Danny and Phantasma. Wait till the next chapter for Sam to meet the ghouls.

RonaldM40196867: I don't have a specific detail that Danny loves most about Spectra. More will be delved into in later chapters. Working on how Spectra will help with the fights. I don't want her to be the same as Phantasma. Danny in Monster High...kinda? I'd have to think about that more.

Luiz4200: Not really. I don't watch Power Rangers.

cg037: Thanks!

qazse: It does seem like a tradition. Though Spectra can't do much right now, more on that in the next chapter.

Guest 1: Hope you enjoy!

Guest 2: Dream Eaters are based on the Native American dream catcher. So they do exist, in a way. Tucker having a second taste in power...interesting. I like.

Guest 3: Well, I'm still working on everything, plus my own fics. I'd really like to update everything more frequently, but fanfics can't take up all my time.

GhostRider00(Guest): How's this? I hope you enjoy!

Jay The Average Fanboy: Super Monsters? Probably not. I'll look into Spectra's family, though I do have an idea of her personal history. Maybe. Spectra's disguise will be explained next chapter. You'll see. Not really.

Guest 4: Hope you enjoy!

Guest 5: Happy to hear this is one of your favorites. Hope you enjoy!
