Note: Before we move on, I'm going to say something to two recent reviewers.
Ron: Well, Bentley has always been interested in his father's former profession in this story. It's likely he has been doing some training while he was alone.
hechtmanelijah6: The Japanese dialogue is added for some bilingual bonuses. If you want me to stop, I will. Besides, it's pretty hard to come up with new dialogue for each chapter.
Okay, now it's time for chapter seven.
Chapter 7: The Infamous Suichi Yamashiro
The Evergreen Forest Museum was closed for the day. However, it's doors weren't locked. In fact, the guards were lazy enough to not lock the doors. There weren't a lot of workers at the Museum as well, with only five workers for such a large place. As such, the building was easy prey for illegal activity. Today was no different, given how a new attraction had arrived.
From within the Museum, the Ruby of Saturn was in a glass case. The red gem was glowing, with the glass around it tinted red. Without warning, an orange fox walked towards the exhibit with a few ninjas following him.
"There it is." One of the ninjas said.
"The Ruby of Saturn." The fox stated.
"Shall we remove it, Mr. Yamashiro?" Another ninja asked.
"No." Yamashiro, the fox, said. "Let's wait for the Seven Heroes."
"But won't they kill us?" A ninja asked.
"I can deal with those vermin." The fox smirked. "After all, I am a fox and they are raccoons."
"But one of them is a sheepdog." A ninja corrected.
"And two more members are aardvarks." Another one said.
"It doesn't matter what they are, we can still crush them." Yamashiro said. "Now get by that door and keep a watchful eye for the Seven Heroes."
Obeying their boss, the ninjas went to different areas of the Museum, promising to keep a watchful eye. Now that he was alone, Yamashiro looked at the Ruby of Saturn. He had been hired to steal the mystical gem for the Serpent Gang, so he was willing to do his job. However, he felt like the theft itself was boring. By the time the Seven Heroes arrived, the fox knew that he could sink his teeth into them. The team wouldn't have known what hit them.
Meanwhile, Chu-ya had arrived in the Evergreen Forest, where he met Bentley.
"Shinjirarenai!" Chu-ya shouted. "You took down those magicians in one fell swoop?!"
"Yes, and I saved the others!" Bentley said.
"It's true, Mr. Sunea!" Shizuka stated.
"That's impressive," Chu-ya said, "but you can't join the team! You're too young for this line of work, Bentley!"
"But I saved the others, didn't I?!" The young raccoon argued. "I've always been interested in stuff like this, so I might be a good member of the team!"
"True, but you need the right training for stuff like this!" The aardvark stated. "Even if you're Junichi's son, you're still a newcomer!"
"It might be a good idea to sit the next mission out, Bentley." Ryuta said to his nephew.
"That would give you enough time to do some extra training." Schaefer added.
"Okay." Bentley sighed.
Without warning, a ringtone started playing.
"I've got a phone call!" Chu-ya said before answering it. "Hello? So he's been hired by the Serpent Gang?! Don't worry, I'll send my team after them! Keep in touch!"
Chu-ya hung up and put his phone back in his pocket.
"Who did the Serpent Gang hire, father?" Chikaga asked.
"Have any of you heard of Suichi Yamashiro?" Chu-ya asked.
"Isn't he the fox who steals for whoever hires him?" Bairei asked.
"Yes," the aardvark said, "and the Serpent Gang's sent him to the Evergreen Forest Museum! The Ruby of Saturn is there, and, if you don't stop him from stealing it, the Serpent Gang will enact their plan!"
"We better go down there!" Bairei said as he ran off. "Come on, guys!"
"And while you're down there, I'll watch after the kid!" Chu-ya said as the other six ran down to the Museum.
"Brother." Bentley looked down.
"Don't worry, they'll be back once they beat Yamashiro." The aardvark told the boy.
Back at the Museum, Yamashiro turned to two ninjas and said, "Oni-ri, sebunhīrōzu ni chūmoku!"
The two ninjas ran off, doing their jobs. Before Yamashiro could go back to the Ruby of Saturn, he heard someone running down the hallway. In addition, there was the sound of weapons colliding. Yamashiro smirked, knowing that the Seven Heroes were going to enter the room at any moment. Sure enough, Bairei & Chikaga were the first to enter, followed by Shizuka, Schaefer, Ryuta, and Mayumi.
"Ah, the Seven Heroes." Yamashiro greeted.
"Suichi Yamashiro, prepare to be taken down!" Bairei said as he drew his sword.
Yamashiro snapped his fingers, which caused a few ninjas to run into the room.
"Tatakai!" The Heroes and the ninjas shouted.
The ninjas ran towards the Heroes, but the six were ready for their foes. In fact, the ninjas were easy to take down, with little time spent defeating them. As the others fought off the ninjas, Bairei ran towards Yamashiro with his sword.
"Kao o mukete, Yamashiro!" Bairei shouted.
"Watashi wa anata o oshitsubushimasu, gaichū!" Yamashiro yelled as he pulled out a blackjack.
Now that Yamashiro had a weapon, Bairei found himself in a fair fight with the fox. As they traded blows with their weapons, Bairei felt like he was at a disadvantage. Not only was Yamashiro overpowering him, but he could feel his grip loosen on his sword.
"Feeling scared, raccoon?" Yamashiro mocked.
"No, I'm just in a stalemate with you!" Bairei growled.
"You're just not as good as I am, considering how you're not a fox!" The vulpine said as he sweep kicked the raccoon.
The moment he was down, Bairei saw Yamashiro standing over him with his blackjack.
"Any last words?" Yamashiro asked.
"Yeah." Bairei said as he swung his sword. "You've got a scar on your chest!"
Yamashiro exclaimed as he saw a gash on his chest, opened up by the blade of Bairei's sword. However, he immediately called down, albeit while covering the open wound that was just inflicted on him.
"I'm impressed," Yamashiro stated, "you proved to be clever."
"Thank you." Bairei said.
"But there's one thing you didn't know about me." The fox said.
"And what's that?" The raccoon asked.
Without warning, Bairei found himself receiving a pellet full of black liquid to his eyes. Ryuta and Mayumi went over to him, trying to clean up the liquid. Now that his foe was blinded, Yamashiro began to walk out of the Museum.
"We'll fight again, Bairei Tanuki, and you won't be able to stop me from getting the Ruby of Saturn." Yamashiro said before turning to a few ninjas. "Koko kara demashou!"
The ninjas followed Yamashiro out of the building, leaving the six members of the Seven Heroes by themselves.
"We should get out of here as well." Ryuta said.
"But what about Yamashiro?" Bairei asked, his vision clearing up.
"We'll get him next time, let's go." Chikaga said as he walked out of the room.
Note: This story is a doozy to write, but I hope that it's worth it. Now that the chapter is over, I'll put the Japanese to English translations here.
Shinjirarenai! = Unbelievable!
Oni-ri, sebunhīrōzu ni chūmoku! = You two, keep an eye out for the Seven Heroes!
Tatakai! = Fight!
Kao o mukete, Yamashiro! = Face me, Yamashiro!
Watashi wa anata o oshitsubushimatsu, gaichū! = I'll squash you, vermin!
Koko karu demashou! = Let's get out of here!
Maybe I should take it easy on the dialogue for the story. What do you guys think about this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review or give a constructive criticism stating what you like and what you don't like. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24 signing off. Peace!
