Winter was almost around the corner in the US. Merely less then a week away from December.
Usually by now, Paul would be preparing for the end of his school year and get almost 2 months off of school, soaking the Summer air.
You see, in Australia, the school year starts in late January and wraps up around mid December. The reason being those months, is because Summer occurs in December in the Southern Hemisphere. While the Northern Hemisphere has Winter. Summer in Australia can get relatively warm, especially it's UV rays. Speculation being that the ozone layer in a few countries, including Australia, Argentina, Chile, South Africa and New Zealand, has been exposed and the layer of protection has been destroyed by global warming.
Either way, Paul had to continue the rest of the Freshman year, with no long term breaks.
Call it harsh, but he wasn't complaining.
The only thing that was bothering him recently was Bonnie. All of a sudden she's got the 'hots' for him and he knew something was fishy. Not the, in-between your legs kind of fishy. But it might have to do with getting even with Kim and Paul.
She was constantly flirting with him, even dressing to impress him, but the teen wasn't having it. He didn't even bother with her. But that's for another day.
Because right now, it was the final class of the day and for the week that matter. It was the day before Thanksgiving. The class would be ending in less than 5 minutes time. Kim and her friends were in the same class together.
English.
Oh dreadful dreadful English.
"Now class I know school finishes in a couple of minutes. But I've prepared an assignment for all of you to do over the break." A female teacher explains to her students.
Students groaned at this, except for a few. They wanted to enjoy their long weekend of no school and no work.
"Now I know. An assignment before Thanksgiving. But it won't be due until end of January, which is next year. So you have more than 2 months to complete this project. And it will be conducted... Individually. So I won't except for you to start until December. But it's your responsibility to keep up and complete it before the deadline."
Some students were satisfied with this, but still weren't happy getting this just minutes before their very long weekend.
"Now the task is to research a multi million dollar company that exists with the United States. You have to discuss it's history, how it was founded, what they produce as in goods and services and it's current CEO and hierarchy of the business. You have all the rest of the week and weekend to decide on a company. No one can have the same company. If a student has the same company its up to you two to decide whether who want's to do it. If I hear any arguments or disagreements. Both students won't able to use that company and no one else will. I hope that's understood for everyone."
The students nod in agreement.
The teacher explains the rest of the details as she was finishing up, the glorious sound that everyone was waiting for.
'BRINNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG'
As soon as the students heard the bell ring, they exited the classroom in a hurry.
"Make your decisions by Monday students!- Well I'm glad you two don't want to leave class straight away."
The only two students who didn't leave the classroom were Kim and Paul.
"Yeah I'm in no rush. Hallways would just be crowded with students. Better to wait it out." Paul explains.
"It is the logical way Mrs Lish. Getting squished by others. That or choice of running on top of the lockers to get to the exit." Kim says.
"I see. So you two got any idea for a company to use for your projects?" Mrs Lish asks both students.
"Got a few in mind." Kim says.
"Got plenty but none will suffice with the amount of students in English class that will choose the same thing. So better to go for a company that's... Under the radar." Paul says sounding very relaxed about this project.
"Good thinking." She says.
A few minutes pass, when the school hallways died down a bit, Kim and Paul left the classroom are now at their lockers packing up their gear and exiting the school. They spot their two friends in Monique and Josh waiting outside looking like they wanted to say goodbye to them.
"Hey you too. Hope you have a great long weekend." Monique says to both teens.
"Same to you guys, lets catch up on the weekend if you're free." Paul says.
"That's if we don't get a mission." Kim adds on.
"Kim don't sweat it. We totally understand. What you do is important. If you have time this weekend SAT." Monique says.
"Shoot a text?" Kim says.
"You know it girl. See ya." Monique waves.
"Bye guys." Josh says as both teens set to leave.
Both say goodbye to Josh and Monique. Which left Paul and Kim by themselves again.
They start to walk towards home. Paul wanted to know what Kim was planning to do for her project.
"So which company do you plan to choose for your English project?" Paul asks Kim.
"Well I have thought about doing Club Banana, but Monique probably has the same idea as me. So that's out. But there's plenty of options to choose from. How about you?" Kim asks, interested what he has chosen.
"I might need to research about that. Apple or Microsoft were my first choices, but I reckon that everyone would choose those two companies, so I might pick a company on the more quiet side of things. Maybe something of the public exchange." Paul says.
"Interesting tactic. So got any plans for Thanksgiving?"
Kim predicted he wouldn't have dinner with his family, because... Well they aren't with him in America. She thought maybe if he was free to invite him over to her Thanksgiving dinner.
"Uh don't really know. Don't know how to prepare a turkey if I'm being honest. Might get some food and watch the game everyone's talking about. In fact there's two matches, so might see what you're up to afterwards. And maybe do something this weekend with all of you guys."
"Well... I was wondering. If you want to. You're more than welcome to come my family's Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow."
"Oh I would love too come! But you sure I wouldn't be intruding? Family's family. I understand, but an outsider coming?"
"Ron came to every thanksgiving dinner we had since we were 6. We went over to his house a couple of times. Plus my mum likes having you around the house, the tweebs as well, as for dad... He's doing his best every time your around him."
"I think he's nice towards me. I mean he does appreciate me saving him at the space centre a few months back."
"Yeah. He mentions how lucky he was that night. So is that a yes?"
"Absolutely." Paul says.
"Great." Kim says with a grin.
It was the next day in Middleton. Thanksgiving day was upon them. Paul beforehand didn't know much about why they celebrated Thanksgiving. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and the year that has gone by. It has been celebrated for more than 4 centuries within America and is considered as a national holiday, not just in America, but in also Canada, Grenada, Saint Lucia and Liberia. Reason being school wrapped up on Wednesday instead of Friday. It was celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November. All students around America would have a long weekend to spend it with their families.
Paul was invited to spend Thanksgiving day with the Possible family. He was a bit nervous about it, as he would be seeing Kim's further family. He wondered how many people would show up today?
'DING DONG!'
Paul hears the doorbell ring as he gets up from the kitchen table to answer it. While walking towards the door, he starts to think who it could be? Not many people knew where he lived. In fact only 1 or 2 people knew where he lived.
He hoped it wasn't Bonnie. If she knew where he lived. He would get a restraining order on her.
He opens up the door and he sees the ever so beautiful Kim Possible in front of him. She was grinning, wearing a green jumper, her usual jeans and white sneakers.
"Hey Kim. Wasn't I suppose to come to your house? Not the other way around?" Paul says. Kim chuckles at this and responds back to him.
"No silly. I wanted to come over so we can go together, plus the dinner doesn't start for another few hours. I just wanted to hangout for a bit, before my relatives arrive."
"Oh right. The whole family is going to be there." Kim enters the house as Paul closes the door.
"You know it. Got my grandma coming, auntie with her husband... my cousin." Kim says in a sour tone. We all know who she was talking about... L.
Kim continues to speak. "My uncle and other cousin are coming all the way from Montana. But even they wont eat when they arrive. The turkey takes about 6 hours to prepare! They are earlier risers."
"Sounds like a Greek Easter or Christmas to me. Food takes hours to cook and the guests are waiting for the food for hours and hours. It actually happened last Easter!"
Flashback
Back in Melbourne, Australia
It was a Greek Easter gathering at Paul's house back in Australia.
Normal Easter would usually occur a few weeks before Greek Easter is held, depending on the Greek Calendar.
Paul and the rest of his relatives and family were waiting anxiously and getting antsy about the food being ready.
One of Paul's relatives was holding up a cooked piece of meat from the BBQ using a set of tongs.
"Okay got a chop ready."
One person has their plate out and take the piece of meat.
Others groan. As they wait for more meat to be cooked.
Paul on the other hand checks his watch for the time as the sun continues to go down, "Yep. We screwed it up this time." Dubbing that they cooked the meat at the wrong time again.
But it simply wasn't about the food. It was about enjoying each other's company, cracking the colour dyed eggs, see who would find the coin wrapped in foil inside the cake and Paul getting his ass kicked in FIFA by his cousins... Sometimes he would win too!
"Yep.. Good times." Paul says as he reminisces the memories.
'Beep-Beep, De-Deep'
Kim mentally sighs at this. Wade was calling her on a holiday. She really wanted to spend time with her family and get Paul to meet the rest of her family. Basically she wanted to see if they approve of him. Even though they weren't even dating. But duty calls and Kim answers the call.
"What's the sitch Wade?" Kim asks.
"Hey Kim, just got a tip about a bird man invading Go City in Wisconsin."
"Go City? Sounds familiar. I think Ron mentioned one time. Something that relates to Bueno Nacho."
"That would be about right."
"A-and did you say bird man? Why can't the police handle this matter?"
"Well there's more to the story. Apparently he's stolen all the turkeys in Go City, causing a wide spread of panic within the town. You need to stop him before he ruins Thanksgiving for them."
"Of course Wade I understand, but It's Thanksgiving. I've got to attend dinner in a few hours time, some of my relatives are going to be here tonight and they except me to be present there. How am I supposed to juggle that and this... bird man at the same time?"
"You can quickly do it and comeback if you spend... less than 5 minutes and 52 seconds there and counting."
"This could take a few hours to resolve Wade." Kim declares.
"Hey, why don't I go by myself?" Paul suggests, which catches both Kim and Wade off guard.
"You?"
"Paul?"
"Me? I mean... Sure. Why not?" Paul says.
Both thought for a second. Now Kim did go on a few missions by herself, but wasn't very successful against the big time villains. But how would he go up against a... bird man?
"... I don't know. Wade? What do you reckon?" Kim asks.
"I'd say his qualified Kim. Trust me. I've seen and heard what he does. And I know, that you know, that I know, that you know, that you know, that I know that Paul is capable of doing this on his own. It isn't the big 5 as we call it Kim, but I can trust him. But it's your call though."
Kim stared at Paul who gave a reassuring grin. She really would be worried about his wellbeing while out on this mission. This would be the very first time he would be going solo on a mission.
Was he ready?
...
..
.
"Are you sure your okay with going by yourself?" Kim asks the teen.
Paul thought about this. He seemed confident that he could do this himself. By didn't want to let down Kim and Wade.
"Absolutely Kim. I mean I've got time to do it and be back."
"Might miss passing the pigskin around, but it's possible you can make it before second servings are given out."
"Forget the food. Let's get this bird guy." Paul says.
"(Gasps) You disrespect the noun that everyone calls food? How dare you." Wade says with a fake shocked tone
"Alright. Sorry you're so sentimental of your food."
"Apology always accepted if the guys name begins with Paul."
"Great.. Oh boy. This will be a interesting experience for me. You got a ride ready to go Wade?"
"Getting one now. Might be tough due to Thanksgiving. Worst case scenario, you could use public transport. Seems pretty easy via train, but long ride there and back. And if this mission takes long. You'll see a Turkey completely deboned with no meat on it."
"There is a thing called leftovers Wade." Kim says.
"Leftovers aren't a thing in this household."
"My mum will keep a plate from him. Keep us updated though please." Kim says.
"Will do." Wade says before signing off.
"Paul. You sure you're willing to go through this?"
"It's okay Kim. I'll be alright. But you can still come too." Paul says to Kim.
"I know, but my parents are really counting on me to be there. Especially in the last few weeks coming back home late, missing a week of school. The girls from the cheerleading squad are starting to get annoyed with my tardiness, except for Tara."
"Tara's always the good one that looks out for you in that group."
"You're right. She's a bit quiet though. The others just follow Bonnie."
"Which they shouldn't, it's not fair that someone is risking themselves to save the world, city, town or country and you get criticised for that. I mean if they were your teammates, they would have your back."
"Yeah, but I don't wanna get to critical of that."
'Beep-Beep, De-Deep'
"Find a ride yet Wade?" Kim answers and asks.
"Got one. Helicopter ride by Dallas."
"Great. Paul you ready?"
"Need a few minutes, will get an Uber to the airport." Paul says as he gets up to get changed and pack a bag for the trip.
Paul arrived at the airport's hanger in Denver. Kim wished Paul good luck and went back home to help with her mum. He see's a helicopter in the short distance. He spots an afro haired man. He looked like he was in his early 20s and had an Haitian American background.
The guy was looking at his paperwork, as Paul approaches him by clearing his throat.
"Hi. I'm here for Dallas." Paul says.
The man turns around and greets him.
"Hey. You going to a wedding or something?" The man asks.
"No, I've got a helicopter ride with Dallas."
"Kim Possible I'm assuming? You don't look like a women."
"No, but it was under her name."
"Oh okay. Well Dallas couldn't be here, he's spending time with his family, but you're in luck, because I'll be taking over for him. I'm McGee."
"Nice to meet you McGee. So aren't you... You know. Supposed to be spending time with your family on Thanksgiving?" Paul says.
"It's a long complicated story." McGee says as he approaches the driver's seat of the helicopter.
"Well it's a long ride to Wisconsin. That's if you feel comfortable talking about it."
"Look man. I know you mean well and all, but I'm just here to do my job. So are we going to Wisconsin or not?"
"Yes." Paul says hoping not to ruin his chances of not getting a ride at all. Wade said it was difficult getting one.
"Well we better get moving then." McGee says as he prepares to disembark from the airport as Paul hops inside the helicopter.
McGee pilots the helicopter towards Wisconsin. Towards Green Bay, seeing a sea of water. They were getting pretty close to Go City. Paul was thinking whether if the mission would be difficult or not.
Truth be told, Kim went on a few missions on her own and she didn't do as well as she thought she would, despite being proper villains.
He tried to keep his calm and hoped this would be quick and easy. Then enjoy a nice dinner with Kim's family.
McGee was preparing to land the helicopter on the helipad just outside of Go City.
The helicopter gently lands on the helipad, Go City wasn't that far. The blades start to slow down. Paul exits the helicopter safely.
"Okay, we're here. Go City. Now go do your thing bro." McGee says.
"You're actually going to wait for me?"
"Well that was on the request your buddy sent me. So take your time. I've got to nowhere to be."
"What about your family?" Paul asks about his family again.
"You still on about that?"
"Yes."
"(Sighs) Look man. It's nice that you care and all, but... It's personal. No hard feelings buddy."
"None taken. If you don't wanna talk about it. I understand."
"Well I'm glad we're on the same page. Oh! Before you go. Here's my number, I might get some lunch while I'm out. I hope this town knows how to make a Turkey Sandwich." McGee hands him a card.
"Ahh. Because it's thanksgiving? And eating turkey is a tradition?" Paul says smiling.
"No. Turkey Sandwich is my favourite combination for a sandwich."
"Oh.. I see. Well I got to take care of this problem now. See you in a few hours."
"See you bro." McGee says as both part ways for now.
Paul quickly sprints towards Go City's CBD as McGee walks towards a small set of shops. One of them happened to be a sandwich shop.
McGee enters through the store and walks straight towards the glass counter full of salads and an employee stands there, awaiting for McGee to place his order.
"Hi, how are you... Let me get a turkey sandwich. Lettuce, tomato, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar." McGee says.
Paul ventures towards Go City. The city looked very similar to Middleton, except there wasn't bodies of water surround it, besides the lake... Not Camp Wannaweep!
He also notices a large twin towers consisting of the letters 'G' and 'O'. Something you would see on Sesame Street. Elmo teaching you how to spell 'Go'.
"Man, these guys must love the word Go a lot." Paul says to himself.
He walks around the empty city streets. It was Thanksgiving after all, so he thought everyone would be at home with their families. But then again, Wade said Go City was having a shortage of Turkeys and wide spread panic was feared in the citizens.
It didn't look like a wide spread panic in the town according to Paul.
He looks to a local super market and sees a sign 'Turkeys Sold Out!'
He notices everything in the city was quiet... too quiet.
"Where is everybody?" Paul says confused. He takes a few steps.
"Turkey?"
Paul quickly turns around and sees a man standing alone. He looked like he was a addict.
An addict for a certain food group!
"Hey man. Have you got any spare turkeys?" The man says scratching his neck.
"Ummm. No I don't. Are you alright?" Paul says.
"Come on man. My family need to eat!"
"But there's no turkeys in this town! You can still eat other meats. Chicken is pretty great alternative."
"NO! It's Thanksgiving. It's traditional to eat turkey." The man says.
"Chill dude. You can still have Thanksgiving without one. I thought it was about giving and spending time with your family."
"I-It's not the same! I gotta find one!" He starts running away and panics.
"Wait! Oh geez man, I wonder what the others are like if this guy is desperate?"
Paul thought back to his pilot for the day, McGee. How would he fare with no turkey in the entirety of the town. Poor man.
Suddenly he felt a large movement come from behind him, chanting something.
He sees a large crowd running towards him
"TURKEY! TURKEY! TURKEY! TURKEY! TURKEY! TURKEY! TURKEY! TURKEY! TURKEY! TURKEY!"
"What the heck!" Paul says within the crowd. The surround him but don't attack Paul.
He thought this was absolutely insane! All of this for a turkey! What has the world come to?
A massive balloon shaped shadow appears on the crowd as people stop panicking and chanting the word turkey as they look up into the sky.
"It's... IT'S HIM!" A random guy says as he runs away.
Others panic and run away too.
"Grab the kids honey!"
Paul watches them run away, before looking up and sees a guy carrying a large net full of turkeys in a hot air balloon!
The bird man!
"HAHAHA. Good luck having Thanksgiving now! My ar" The man shouted from above.
"That's just messed up man." Paul says.
"TEAM GO! Assemble!"
Paul turns towards a group of 4 people... they appeared to be dressed as... Superheroes?
"Hego! How the heck are we going to get up there?" The purple one says.
Paul raised an eyebrow at these new comers. Where they playing superhero in costumes?
"I'll just throw something at him. Are all the civilians clear from the area?"
"Everyone except for that business man there." One of the shorter guy says. It appears he has a twin. They looked shorter compared to the other two.
Hego looks towards Paul as he looks on. But he couldn't do anything from up there.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Hego asks the teen.
"Me? What are you doing here?" Paul asks him back
"To beat Aviarius." A man with blue hair says gesturing above at the hot air balloon.
"Hey, me too. Wanna team up?" Paul says glad. He could use the extra help.
"That's our job citizen! We can handle this." A different male says with purple skin. The normal skinned one looked like he was going to say yes, but had a glare on his counterpart colleague.
"Not according to my agreement." Paul says.
"Back down civilian! You're seriously going to get hurt! He's dangerous." The purple skin male says.
"Dangerously addictive if you sell him as a chicken." Paul says.
Two of them laughed. The shorter ones. They both stop laughing as soon as the purple one glared at them.
"Never mind him. We need to stop Aviarius before he escapes!" The purple man looks around and spots a car in the short distance. "Hego use your super strength and throw that car up there."
Paul thought if this was all a joke. Surely there can't be more?
"Mego we can't throw a civilians car up there! It's private property." Hego says.
"I think they care more about the turkeys than anything else." Mego says, but I think it was too late.
"So long suckers! HAHAHA!" The bird man says as he gradually escapes the city, heading towards the mountains, carrying thousands of turkeys in a bag.
"Damn it. Dagget. Dangnamit! You! Why did you interfere? We could have gotten you a turkey too!" Mego somehow shrunk to a smaller size and begin kicking Paul in the shin, Paul stared in awe at him and realised that these guys had powers like Shego. I mean... People don't shrink like that on command.
"Woah! You guys have superpowers too?" Paul says unfazed as Mego continues to kick Paul.
"Too?" Hego curiously asks. "Mego stop that!" Hego lifts Mego off the ground into his fist.
"Let me go!" Mego says as he squirms out of Hego's palms and regrows to normal size.
"Oh some girl we know has them... But doesn't matter! I'm trying to help you guys save Thanksgiving!" Paul explains.
"You're not from around here are you?" Hego says.
"Few thousand kilometres would do the trick." Paul says.
"(Whistles) Gee!" Both twins say in sync.
"Look I'm here because of the bird man. A buddy of mine said he was stealing all the turkeys from Go City, so I came down here to stop him."
"Well in that case, we could use the extra hand. We thought you were sabotaging us there for a second." Hego admits.
"Never. I wanted to help, but he's getting away!" Paul says.
"Oh don't worry about that. We know exactly where he's going. By the way, I'm Hego, these are my brothers here, Mego and the Wego twins, together we are Team Go!" Both twins wave at him, as Mego seemed like he really didn't care about him.
"Nice to meet you all. Now we've got to follow him!"
"Don't worry... Uh. Sorry what's your name?"
"Paul."
"Paul! Well with introductions out of the way. We must plan to stop Aviarius. But first... To the Go Tower!" Hego declares
"To the Go Tower!" All the others say as the pace towards the city.
"Go Tower?" Paul says as he follows them.
After a short walk, Team Go were heading towards their Headquarters, which was the two twin towers in the shape of G and a O. He was amazed at the architecture of the building. Something that was inspired by this building was the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. Except more circular.
They entered the main room of Go Tower.
"Welcome... to Go Tower!" Hego says out loud.
"Not so loud Hego!" Mego says covering his ears. Paul already knew he was going to have a hard time with him.
All of them take a seat in the lounge room.
"Would you like a drink?" Hego asks.
"No thanks Mr Hego."
"Oh please, no Mr. Just Hego will do."
"Right... So tha-"
Mego starts crunching on something loud interrupting the conversation.
"Sorry about that. Mego! We've got a guest around stop eating." Hego says to Mego.
"Sorry. It's not like Shego's around to cook our annual Thanksgiving dinner."
Paul froze at that name.
"What did you say that name was?"
"Dinner?"
"No, the girl's name."
"Shego?"
"Shego? Y-you mean that green skin women with the black hair?"
"Wait! You know our sister?"
"(Gasp) Sister! Shego is your sister?" Paul says shocked.
"Yes... Have you been seeing her!" Hego began cracking his knuckles.
"Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa! I haven't done anything like that man. I swear."
"Oh. Sorry about that. I kind of get protective over her. How do you know about her then?"
"Let's say I've tangoed with her a few times. Broke her ankle one time."
"You punched our sister?" Mego says.
"Well she is a criminal after all." Paul says
"And she is our sister after all." One of the Wego twins said.
"Who decided to become the life of a criminal. He had the right to do that. Question is... who you working for? FBI, CIA, Interpol? We told you guys we had everything under control here." Hego asks.
"I'm from Team Possible."
All 4 widen their eyes.
"Team Possible? You mean Kim Possible?" Hego says.
"Yeah?"
"Oh my gosh! Like." One Wego says.
"thee Kim Possible!" The other one completes the sentence.
"Yes. Do you want an ear cleaner?"
"Oh my gosh! Where is she?" Mego says.
"At home."
"Then why are you here?" Hego asks.
"To stop a bird man from ruining Thanksgiving."
"You mean Aviarius?" Hego says.
"Uh, if that's his name. Then sure."
"He's such a nuisance for the city. He's our old arch nemesis. Works alone. Calls himself the dark master of the winged world. Always wanting revenge, but we don't know who he wants revenge on." Hego says.
"I think he belongs at a KFC. Where does he live?"
"He lies on the peak of Go Mountain."
"Go Mountain? Is everything named Go in this town?" Paul asks. So far he's heard of Go City, Team Go, Go Bank, Go Eatery, Go Tower... Go Mountain!
No Pokémon Go in this town either!
Where's Inspector Gadget by the way? With all his Go-Go gadgets.
"It wasn't always like that. You see... A long time ago... Not. Too long ago. Not like centuries ago. Only a mere decade...
...and 5 years ago. Something happened that changed in our lives forever."
"Oh boy another flashback." Paul says excited.
Flashback
"The year was 2005. We were all young kids. I myself was 14 at the time, Mego was 12. Shego at the time was 9. And our youngest siblings the Wego twins were only 6. We lived in Valley City, Illinois. Just one state down from where we are now. We were a family of 7. Our mother was Mexican and our father was American. They got married in America. I'll never forget the night when that comet hit down on Earth."
"Comet?" Paul asked.
Hego takes a deep breathe in.
"5th June 2005. The day our lives changed forever. We had a family dinner, our grandma came over. They were all inside the house, while all 5 of us, were up in our treehouse."
"Stephanie let go! I want to try next!"
"You've had your turn! I want to try."
"Can you two stop fight over the yo-yo and take turns?"
"But he's been hogging it!"
"No I haven't!"
"Stop lying Michael."
"By don't you play with your twin brothers, they are having a good time drawing."
"Little did we know, we had a comet traveling towards us. But it wasn't an ordinary comet. It was a glowing, rainbow-coloured comet, no one to this day can explain where it came from."
Both twins get up and stare outside the treehouse, this peaked Hank's interest.
"Wesley, Westley. What do you see?" Hank asks his younger brothers.
"A Rainbow." Both of them clap excitingly.
Hank was confused by this, so were Michael and Stephanie. All of them walk towards the twins.
All three stare out the open end of the treehouse and look at where they are starting.
"What rainbow?"
It was at the last second, they spot a meteor heading right toward them.
"Oh sweet mother of-"
...
..
.
The comet collided through the top part of their house before aiming right at centre of treehouse.
"The comet crashed at our treehouse. It each gave us special powers. We were out for hours."
(Coughing sounds)
"Mum! Dad! Grandma!" Hank says.
He gasps as he sees their home destroyed. He runs over to the house to find his parents and grandma
"MUM! DAD! GRANDMA!" He had tears in his eyes.
"Hank?"
"Stephanie?"
Stephanie had bruises all over her, she appeared to have no injuries of any kind at all.
Hank runs up to her and hugs her.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Are Mum and Dad okay?"
"I don't know sis. Are Michael and the twins okay!"
"The twins are over there, I don't know where Michael is."
"I'm right here."
"Where?" Stephanie turns her head and sees something on her shoulder.
Stephanie shrieks as she sees a miniature version of her brother on her shoulder.
"KILL IT KILL IT!"
"Woah Steph. It's me! Michael."
"Michael? How are you that small?" Hank asks.
"I don't know! But it's so cool. (Gasp) Our house."
Hank decides to run back towards the house and try to find his guardians.
"The house that our parents and grandma were in collapsed. Our grandma passed away inside. Our parents were alive but in critical conditions. But most importantly, all 5 of us were alive. Doctors said it was a miracle that we come off unscathed. It was all over the news in Illinois. Valley City become from the lowest population within the state, to the most talked about town. Until it was put on hold by NSA and FBI. Thought it was a threat to National Security, that the aliens would be coming. Citizens of Chicago rioted about being kept in the dark.
"The city of Chicago tonight has been battered after riots were commenced today after a mysterious comet landed in the state of Illinois, the residents of the state are demanding an answer to government bodies."
"Everyone wanted answers. The Police had their orders and the hospital doubled their security. The government wanted to test us, our powers. We refused to cooperate. They played hard ball with us, until the director one day wanted to put us into witness protection, to prevent the world from finding out about that comet. Plus we were only kids. The Wego twins were only six! So we had to leave Illinois. I refused, but they gave us no choice. Our parents would have to stay behind in hospital.
"So they moved you one state across?" Paul asks.
"It was a risky task. They didn't seem to care. They just wanted to cover up the comet and our powers... We didn't even get... To see our parents for the last time. Said they were in too much pain to bear those injures. So we moved towards Green Bay in Wisconsin, we had to keep our identities sealed. That's when we decided to use our powers for good. We decided our new indefinites and protected the city. We kept the town safe from harm and other places around Wisconsin too. Were weren't allowed to go back to Illinois... If they found out, everyone would want to find out how we got our powers."
"So that's our story. Tragedy and Destiny within a flash. Lost our parents, grandma, rest of our family... personal belongings. Friends. We had it tough. Especially Shego. But the most important thing was that we had our siblings around us to look out for each other."
Paul heard Hego's and the rest of his family's origin story. This explained their powers, but most importantly Shego's powers as well... That flashback was a major bummer.
All of them had a sad look on their faces, even Mego. Well that confirms he has a heart.
"I'm sorry to hear that guys."
"It's alright, we've gotten over them. We can't even visit their graves in Valley City. Do you know that place is almost abandoned. The comet made the town flood." Hego says.
"I could imagine. What about other family relatives? You said that only 3 passed away." Paul asks.
"The rest of the family abandon us. They think we are all freaks. They didn't want anything to do with us. We had to survive somehow, until the town we got relocated to saw us for our good deeds, they built us a tower for our headquarters. Honouring us by renaming the town Go City, right here in Wisconsin. They named the mall after us, food establishments, the bank."
"They even renamed the mountain after us too." One of the Wego twins said. Paul gives a short inside chuckle with a grin.
Paul was amazed how he didn't ever hear about this story before. Ever since he's been to America, he felt like he's walked through a wormhole. But his family seems normal when he facetimes, speaks and texts them. It's like he's part of something bigger than what it's meant to be.
"So.. you're saying you all go hit by a comet? Which wiped out your entire family, except you 5, became superheroes. Which Shego was one, at a point in her life."
"Pretty much." Hego says as the other nod in agreement.
"... I need a moment to take this all in."
"Hard to believe. Am I right?" Hego says.
"I do believe now. I'm sorry you're family didn't make it."
"It was hard for the younger ones. Shego was only a young girl. She loved to help people, even though she was made fun at in school. If she even got suspended a few times. Once she finished college, she continued to keep the city safe from evil. But the more we fought bad guys, the more Shego liked it. Until one day, she just up and left the team. We kept a tab on her whenever she comes back. She came back once for a few days, next thing we know is that a lab in South Dakota got raided and Kim Possible managed to stop them."
"That was us! I remember that mission! That was actually my first mission." Paul says remembering that day, managing to stop Drakken and Shego from getting access to classified information on that disc.
"You stopped them too?"
"I was with Kim."
"But she's not here now?" Mego asks.
"Look, long story. But my friend told me to prevent this guy from ruining Thanksgiving and Kim had committments with her family."
"And you're stilling willing to help us capture Aviarius
"That's what I'm here for." Paul says.
"Great." Hego says.
"So I wanna ask a few more questions, if that's okay with you.
"No I th-" Mego says, but was interrupted by Hego's elbow.
"Ask away." Hego says as Mego rubs his sore rib.
"I think I have asthma." Mego says trying to regain his breathe.
"This town used to be called something else?"
"That's right."
"So you're the mayor of the city too?" Paul asks.
"T-... Mmm No not quite."
"That would be Mayor Elmer Spitze." Mego says.
"Okay. So your the leader of Team Go?"
Hego was about to answer.
"No I am." Mego says pointing to himself.
"No he's not. I am." Hego says.
"No your not." Wego come outs of nowhere.
"Yes I am! I'm the eldest." Hego says.
"No, I am!"
"No I am."
"I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am I am. No I am the leader you fu-"
"HEYYY!" Paul shouts out.
All 8 stop... 8!
"What a wonderful kind of day. Where y-" One of the Wego's sings before stopping.
"You finished?" Paul says.
Wegos duplicates go from 6 back to 2.
"Sorry" All 4 says sheepishly.
"Now I know why she left." Paul says.
"What do you mean.. by left?" All 4 gave him a glare.
"Well let's face it. There's 4 of you. 4 males can really drive a women insane. If I'm honest, but maybe she lost her sanity living under a tower with 4 boys. No wonder she left the team. Sorry to be abrupt but that's the way I see it."
"Well... maybe. But it was no reason to go all baddie on us." Hego says.
"Tell me? Did she ever have a different home when her parents passed? Or only in the tower?"
"... Well we did live somewhere else temporarily, but she always stayed with us."
"Did she ever have a boyfriend?"
"Nothing steady."
"Hmm." Paul murmurs as he thinks.
"(Scoffs) All the boys thought she was a freak." Mego says rudely.
Paul mentally shuddered at that word. He admitted. colour blind or not, Shego looked really beautiful, but her morals were in the wrong basket. If she was originally good, maybe there's a chance to change back one day. But if she didn't even keep in contact with her brothers, either they did something to her which made Shego leave, or someone influenced her, like Hego said. The evil presence was a temptation, and Shego ultimately failed.
"Mego! Stop it!"
"I think my point was made though. Anyway, I need to get back home for a dinner gathering, so let's just stop this Atticus Finch guy and get over it." Paul says.
"Aviarius" Hego corrects him
"Look man, I spent 2 hours in a helicopter, cut me some slack please? Plus the story was a major brain fade. How come I haven't heard about it before? The news? Wikipedia? Social Media stories? ... Sadly TikTok nowadays?" Paul asks.
"Because the media were pressured by the government not to reveal anything. Said whoever posted anything was taken down, if they did post something afterwards would face the consequences. Said the comet was linked to aliens or something. Bur now, they renowned it, as a urban myth within the state of Illinois."
"Officially by?"
"Urban Legends Encyclopaedia." Hego says.
"...Are you kidding me?"
"No. And the FBI official report saying that it was a satellite that fell to Earth."
"They covered it up by saying a satellite fell on Earth! W-What about the town? The Neighbours? Doctors? You have a whole ass state who saw this comet! Surely someone could have spilt the beans."
"All signed waivers." Hego simply says.
"All-... All... (Short chuckle) Everyone signed waivers?" Paul says astonished.
"Lot of paperwork had to be filled out."
"Are you (Chuckles Abruptly)" Paul rubs his forehead as he smiles shaking his head. He couldn't' believe this massive conspiracy that was sitting in front of him "And you told me your whole story for what reason?"
"Well you're the only guest we've had in the tower for the past few years." One of the Wegos says.
"Or probably ever." The other Wego adds.
"Plus you seem like a nice guy, and in fact no one ever asked us except the NSA. All the others only care about photos and autographs." Hego says.
"Oh goody. If a red dot appears on my forehead when we walk outside, cover me."
"I don't understand that?" One of the Wegos says.
"Yeah I had a feeling you wouldn't. So how are we going to get up the mountain anyway?"
"Well we have the Go Jet, but landing on that mountain is humanly impossible. Unless we build an airport there, probably a few years."
"Yeah a few Thanksgivings would pass by then... what are our other options?"
"We walk?" Mego suggests.
"Walk? I'm sorry, but didn't this comet unleash superpowers and didn't bother to give you flying powers?"
"Hey, we can't get too greedy now can we?" Mego says.
"No I guess not... But this gives me an idea." Paul pulls out his mobile phone.
McGee was eating inside the sandwich shop. He was eating his Turkey sandwich. He was almost done eating when he suddenly his phone goes off.
He sees who's calling him and only appears as numbers. He picks it up anyway, potentially answering to a scammer on the other line.
"Hello, new number, who dis?" McGee says to the caller.
"McGee. It's Paul. I need a favour."
"Paul! You ready to go back to Colorado? I'm all set, just waiting to get another turkey sandwich for takeaway." He says as he takes a bite of his sandwich he ordered not long ago.
"No, not yet. Listen. How many people can you fit in your helicopter?"
Author Notes:
Go Team has arrived to the party and with an intense back story.
- I know that Team Go made a few appearances in the show. 2 appearances to be precise with Hego have 3 appearances. So it will be quite difficult to understand the others and how they act. So reading some fanfics will assist me along the way to understanding their characters.
- Okay. You guys would have to be hardcore Kim Possible fans to understand what Mego said when Aviarius escaped. When he said 'Dagget'. It referenced a character from a Nickelodeon show, The Angry Beavers. Why you may ask? Because the character Daggett Doofus 'Dag' Beaver was voiced by Richard Steven Horvitz. The same voice actor that voices Zim from Invader Zim and Billy, Harold from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. He also plays the voice of Aviarius in Kim Possible. If you knew this, you are a hardcore cartoon fan!
- If you vaguely remember. Shego briefly had a flashback about her past in Chapter 5 when Drakken and Shego got away from Kim, when she was riding solo for the first few months since Ron left. For all you peeps that are reading, that was 10 months ago! How time flies...
- The Mayor of Go City made one appearance in the 'Mathter and Fervent' Episode. He goes nameless in the show. So I decided to call him Elmer Spitze, because he has a speech impediment, when Kim thinks he said 'the Master' instead of 'the Mathter'. AKA The Elmer Fudd Wabbit Syndrome.
- Being a Greek. I can definitely relate to food taking hours to cook. I remember we would start up the BBQ fire at least an hour plus before guests arrived, and due to the heat not being hot enough, it would take extra time to cook. Some festive events we would cook lamb on the spit, but would take hours to cook due to the weak fire. But everyone would joke about how long the meat would take to cook. Especially when other relatives would bring food to eat at the house , while they wait for the other food to cook outside.
- NASA indeed has confirmed that those 5 countries mentioned in this chapter, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia have ozone layer holes, meaning that the sun produces stronger UV rays in these countries, than majority of others. That was confirmed in September 2000... Google that shit.
- Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai is in fact real. It's a very famous building in the UAE, that has been specially built to make it stand as we see it today, it's also shaped like a canoe.
- You know, I was thinking of getting those OC characters, drawn up see you can see what they look like and post them on DeviantArt. But that's a long term thing
- Geez, that was the longest set of Author Notes I've had since Chapter 1!
- Now the big AN. Team Go is known for 5 members. Hego, Mego, Shego and Wego twins. As in, Hego for most Masculine, Shego is the only Female, Mego is constantly concerned with himself and finally Wego are the twins. Now in the show, No other names were mentioned about those 5 characters at all. But... In this instance. They all have other names due to their status in the past lives and had to cover up when they got hit by the comet. So here we are!
Shego: Real Name - Stephanie Maria Gomez
Mego: Real Name - Michael Gomez
Wego Twins: Real Names - Wesley and Westley Gomez
Hego: Real Name - Hank Gomez
Aw great! More confusion!
Also if you're wondering, the conversation in the flashback between the kids, Paul or Hego couldn't hear them.
I thought it was fitting to use Gomez instead of potentially Goldberg or something on the lines of that as a surname.
Mrs Ing Lish - Katie Crown (Total Drama as Izzy, Clarence as Mary (Clarence's mother) and Ms. Baker. Stoked as Fin McCloud) - OC Character
McGee Gale Hasland - Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show as Himself/Host/Presenter/Bird Up. Disenchantment as Luci) - OC Character
Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. It was way longer than I anticipated to be. See you in 10 days. Until then... Take Care!
