Displaced.

(Scott POV)

When I woke up, Kes was gone. Kes stayed last night. And it was come night, Kes was round for dinner. But I got up and got showered and into my uniform then checked on my girls. Then I headed for the Bridge. But just as I got to the Bridge.

"Paris to Bridge, we have an alien visitor on Deck 6," Tom said. "We're taking him down to Sickbay,"

"Tuvok with me, Chakotay you got the Bridge," I said as we headed down to Deck 5 Then to Sickbay.

"I've increased the Temperature to 45 degrees Celsius and the light level should be more comfortable for you now," Doc said.

"Yes thank you, you're very considerate," He said. "I hope you'll excuse my initial suspicion This experience has been very unnerving,"

"I'd feel the same way in your place," I said.

"Do your people possess technology which could have transported you here," Tuvok said.

"Not that I know of," He said. "I've heard of other races that have it, Maybe one of them brought me here, but I can't imagine why,"

"Please describe the physical sensation of your experience," Doc said.

"First, I felt lightheaded and then everything around me seemed to bend or ripple, There was a moment of Blackness and I felt a curious sensation of insects crawling on my skin and then I found myself on your ship," He said.

"Interesting," Doc said. "I'll run a microcellular scan for residual energy traces,"

"Can you tell us where your colony is located," Tuvok said.

"We're in the 3rd planet of the Nyrian System, A red Giant star with a large cloud of interstellar dust just beyond the 5th planet," He said.

"Doesn't sound like any system we've encountered Unfortunately our knowledge of this area of space is limited I'd like you to look at a star chart to see if you recognize any astronomical markers," I said.

"Of course," He said.

"In the meantime, my crew has begun scanning the area for any clue about what happened to you," I said.

"Lt If you don't mind," Doc said.

"Where is Kes today," Tuvok said.

"I don't know, She's late for her duty shift," Doc said.

"I saw her Last night, But she was gone, I thought she was here, Computer Locate Kes," I said.

"Kes is not on board Voyager," Computer said.

"When did she leave," I said.

"1132 hours," Computer said.

"What time did our alien visitor come on aboard," I said.

"1132 hours," Computer said.

"Tuvok a minute," I said as we went into Doc officer. "Something isn't right,"

"Captain," Tuvok said.

"Kes disappeared and then he showed up. Sounds like they got Displaced to me, Have Harry and B'Elanna see if they can find a trace, I'll be on the bridge, But I want our visitor under guard just in case he is lying about something," I said.

"Aye Captain," Tuvok said.

As I left and headed for the Bridge.

"Torres to Bridge," B'Elanna said. "Harry just disappeared,"

"And we just got another visitor," I said. "Tuvok any progress,"

"Increasing the shield strength has had no apparent effect," Tuvok said. "However if," Then Tuvok Vanished.

3 hours later what senior officers we had were in the Conference room.

"In the last 3 hours we've lost 22 of our people, According to the Nyrians, They've all shown up on their colony," Chakotay said. "As though we're switching places,"

"I went over our Navigational charts with Dammar, But he's completely unfamiliar with this part of space, For all we know that colony could be thousands of lightyears away," Tom said.

"Any idea what might be causing these transfers," Chakotay said.

"I'm not sure," B'Elanna said. "Harry and I detected a surge of Polaron Particles right before he disappeared, They created a spatial distortion field around him, but it collased as soon as he vanished,"

"Could it have been some kind of spatial anomaly," Tom said.

"It could have been anything," B'Elanna said. "A naturally occurring phenomenon like a wormhole, or a subspace flow field or a kind of technology like our transporters,"

"All right, Get back to your stations and keep looking, Confine the Nyrians to the cargo bays, and post security details at every access point, Check in every 5 minutes," I said.

"In all fairness, Captain, they haven't been threatening in any way," Chakotay said. "They seem as puzzled by all this as we are,"

"Chakotay, I don't care how they seem, All I care about is that I've had that feeling again since the first Nyrian arrived, I can smell it, Whatever is going on their are part of this, Look at us running around the ship, checking sensors and spinning theories while the Nyrians slowly replace our crew. There in the same time of 9 minutes 20 seconds between these exchanges, At that rate this entire crew will be gone in 18 hours," I said. "Don't tell me that doesn't put a knot in your stomach, You have your orders, Locked down the ship, Authorization command codes only, I locked out the Main Computer, Dismissed," As I went and Locked the main computer down from my ready room.

"Captain's log Stardate 50912.4, It's been 12 hours since these mysterious exchanges began and we still haven't discovered their cause, I've already lost over half of my Crew, End log," I said as I went and Meet Chakotay.

"Cargo Bay 2 is almost full, We'll have to start converting the shuttle bays," Chakotay sad.

"Do it, I want them where we can keep an eye on them, We also lost where Clara, Chloe are including Naomi. For all we know they have been taken too," I said.

"I'll have to reassign more crew members to security," Chakotay said. "Our Ranks are getting a little thin, Also I thought Clara,"

"She can, But As much as I know about Wraith she could be hiding them too somehow, But we are already spread thin, I can't get people to start checking every inch of this ship for them. Shut down everything but the ship's essential functions, We'll be operating on a skeleton crew before long, I've locked down the Main computer with a Level 10 clearance I got, so it should buy us some time before they can take over that too, Whenever they are about to make they move," I said as we went into Engineering. "B'Elanna You've developed a theory about What's happening,"

"A Nyrian Astrophysicist who arrived about an hour ago told me about some strange graviton fluctuations they detected at their colony," B'Elanna said. "I ran some scans on this and found the same thing,"

"A wormhole," I said.

"Possibly a baby one and if I'm right, One end is opening intermittently inside Voyager," B'Elanna said. "We could have passed through it while it was forming and snagged on it somehow,"

"Then how do we get it unsnagged," Chakotay said.

"And get our people back," I said.

"Well not that I have this new information I'd like to have another talk with Rislan, the Nyrian Scientist," B'Elanna said.

"Is Neelix still helping out with the new arrivals," I said.

"I think he's in Cargo bay 2 now," Chakotay said.

"McCall to Neelix," I said.

"Neelix here captain," Neelix said.

"I'd like you to find one of the Nyrians who," I said as I got transported next as I end up with my crew.

"Captain," Sam said.

"Sam," I said. "What is going on,"

"Captain," Sam said looking behind me as a Nyrian came over and took off my combadge and left. "They have done that to every single on of us who got transported here,"

"Any sign of Naomi, Chloe, Clara," I said.

"No," Sam said. "I'm worried,"

"I think I know now that Clara has been using this ability which stops her being picked up on sensors, No doubt she has found a way to mask Chloe and Naomi too," I said.

"Is that possible," Sam said.

"No idea," I said. "I hope so otherwise where are they,"

After a while Neelix showed up as did B'Elanna.

"B'Elanna," I said. "Are you all right,"

"Captain you were right," B'Elanna said.

"I already know," I said.

As 2 came and took B'Elanna Combadge and left.

"What do they want with us," B'Elanna said.

"I don't know, they refuse to answer any questions. Nor Naomi, Chloe or Clara here too they have to be back on Voyager, Clara has to be cloaking them somehow," I said.

"They've given us food, water and medical supplies, Everything but information," Kes said.

"Where's the rest of the crew?" B'Elanna said.

"In other compounds just like this one scattered throughout the woods, I already order people to grab what they can and move here," I said.

"This doesn't seem like a Nyrian colony It's not warm enough or dark enough for them," B'Elanna said.

"Exactly it's more like an idyllic version of Earth, As though it were create specifically for us," Tom said.

"Do we have any idea what planet we're on," B'Elanna said.

"Not yet, I sent Tuvok to investigate the other Compounds and see what he can find out, until he gets back, all we have are unanswered question," I said.

More and more people keep on get beamed here.

Eventually Chakotay got here.

"Commander," I said.

"Larson and I managed to cut off any many systems as we could so we could hold off on whatever they are planning," Chakotay said.

"Nice work, Commander," I said. As the Nyrians came in and took his combadge. Then left.

"I managed to get the Doctor's Mobile Emitter before I got beamed off," Chakotay said.

"B'Elanna," I said.

"On it," B'Elanna said Taking it getting the Doc back.

"Is there any sign of Naomi, Chloe or Clara," Chakotay said.

"No, Clara must be using it. Problem is she can't do anything if she leaves them for a second, Then they get beamed here too," I said.

Then Tuvok was back.

"Tuvok what did you learn," I said.

"There are 10 compounds like this one spread over approximately 4 square kilometers, they are surround on all side by wilderness, I didn't find them at either of the camps," Tuvok said.

"Clara must be doing it then, Problem is she can't leave them for a second or they get beamed here," I said.

"Could I have you attention? Now that you've all arrived here safely, I'd like to welcome you to your new home," She said.

"I don't give a flying Fuck in being welcomed, Why have you brought us here," I said.

"You vessel will be used to defend Nyrians acquisitions," She said.

"Is this the way you operate," Chakotay said. "Gradually changing places with the crew of a ship,"

"Ships, Colonies, Space stations," She said. "We've found it's far more effective than warfare, We aren't a cruel people, We've tired to make this experience as painless as possible and as you can see, we've got to great lengths to create an environment in which you will be comfortable,"

"Nonetheless we are being held here against our will," I said.

"Well, I'm afraid that's unavoidable, But I think you'll be happy here, the food dispensers have been programmed with selections from your own computer files, We have even downloaded literature and entertainment from your Cultural database," She said.

"What happens if we try to leave this little paradise?" Chakotay said.

"I think you'll find there's nowhere to go," She said.

"We don't accept that, We will find a way out of here, And I will get my ship and crew back," I said.

"Captain," She said. "Your lack of gratitude is unbecoming,"

"No You know what should have done from the moment I knew what was happening. I should of started killing every single one of you," I said.

"You and your crew could have found yourselves somewhere far less hospitable," She said.

"It's still a prison," Chakotay said.

"If you want to be miserable here, that is your choice, But since there's nothing you can do about your situation, I suggest you accept it Gracefully," She said. "We're ready now,"

"Tuvok what the hell have you found out about this wilderness," I said.

"I don't believe that we could walk out in every direction I went, I encounted a natural Barrier," Tuvok said. "A sheer cliff, an impassable river, These obstacles completely surround the colony,"

"A perfectly isolated area," Chakotay said.

"Too perfect," I said.

"It's seems a bit convenient?" Chakotay said.

"This place does have an artificial quality, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing is holographic and the wilderness was created to keep us from exploring too far," I said.

"Captain," Harry said.

As something was happening and someone walked out.

"Sorry for the intrusion, But I wanted to welcome you, I'm Jarleth, your neighbour," Jarleth said.

"Where did you come from?" I said.

"My people live in the other environment, through that portal, It's quite different More desert like, The place it's so green, But I'm sure it's suitable for you, The Nyrians undoubtedly had a good look through your data banks," Jarleth said.

"Were your people brought here by the Nyrians?" Tuvok said.

"They took us one by one, Oh is this what you eat?" Jarleth said.

"They took you from your colony," I said.

"They claimed not to know what was happening," Jarleth said. "By the time we got suspicious, There were too many, We've been here ever since,"

"Do you have any idea where here is," I said.

"No, Not bad, Would you be interested in trading for some of these," Jarleth said. "The last inhabitants of this environment had no concept for barter system, But you strike me as a much more, sophisticated group,"

"If there were people here before us, maybe we could get out the same way," I said.

"Oh I don't think you'd like their method of escape," Jarleth said. "They all died from a plague,"

"Captain there must be some kind of forcefield here but I can't find it," Harry said.

"Pretty well camouflaged, isn't it," Jarleth said. "it took me almost 9 years to find the portal,"

"How did you get it open," B'Elanna said.

"Well, I have my ways," Jarleth said.

"I'd consider that information a valuable commodity," I said.

"Well I'd be happy to make a trade, but the portal only leads into our environment, You're welcome to visit of course," Jarleth said.

"There may be other portals, if you can show us how to find them," I said.

"I look forward to our collaboration," Jarleth said.

After a while B'Elanna made the modifications to the Doc so he could see them for us.

It was a night time now.

"Captain," Sam said.

"I know, I'm worried too," I said. "As long as Clara has got them, They going to be fine, Once we get back,"

"What if," Sam said.

"Are we, Just like we did with the Kazon," I said.

It was morning time and the Doc was still looking.

"We've tired to get out of here for years," Jarleth said. "The closest I ever came was finding the portal between our 2 environments, I don't mean to be pessimistic, but I don't think there is a way out,"

"There must be we just have to keep looking," I said.

"Well I know it's too early for you to accept this, but life here isn't so bad," Jarleth said.

"No, Not while I got 3 people unaccounted for," I said.

"Once we stopped trying to escape, we actually began enjoying ourselves," Jarleth said.

"Captain we found something," B'Elanna said.

"It's directly in front of me," Doc said.

"Here?" I said.

"Yes right there," Doc said.

As Jarleth used it and the door opened.

"Well if my scanning services are no longer required, I'll return to my medical duties," Doc said.

"Nice work Doc, Let's go," I said.

As We walked through.

"We can cover more ground if we split up, Tuvok with me, B'Elanna, Tom, Jarleth, you 3 got that way," I said. "We'll meet back here in 20 minutes,"

As we took off.

Then we found a control station.

"It's definitely some kind of control station," I said. "I can bring up information, But I can't understand what it says,"

"If the Nyrians downloaded Voyager's cultural database, You may be able to tap into the Translation algorithm," Tuvok said.

"There we go much better," I said. "The Federation Habitat, Population 148, They still have not no idea about Naomi, Clara or Chloe yet, Or they haven't detected that anyone's missing, Here's another environment, And another, How many are there,"

"Captain there's data here of 94 different environments," Tuvok said.

"They're holding thousands of prisoners, There's got to be something that'll tell us about the layout of this place," I said. "Authorized access only,"

"I'll try to bypass their security codes," Tuvok said.

"Good I'm getting something, Incredible Tuvok, We're on a ship," I said.

"We should attempt to locate the Bridge," Tuvok said.

"If there is one I can't find it, But," I said as I heard a door opening. "There seems to be more extensive command center 4 decks about us, Maybe I can access it from here, More security lockouts,"

"We may need to disable the entire subroutine," Tuvok said.

Then an alarm went.

"Damn, We're going to have company, Come on," I said. As we started moving. Where we found another station as Tuvok knocked him out.

"He just activate a translocator control, One lifeform was sent from an access tunnel to the biosphere adjacent to ours," Tuvok said.

"That must have been Jarleth, This translocator is what the Nyrians used to get on our ship," I said.

"Then We should be able to use the same method to return to Voyager," Tuvok said.

"Assuming we can figure out how to use it," I said.

As we work on it for a bit.

"This Translocator has an extremely long range, over 10 light years," Tuvok said.

"Great distances must limit it's capacity, That's why the Nyrians could only send one person to Voyager at a time, and Bring one of us here," I said.

"Their method has the added advantage of appearing innocent at least in the beginning," Tuvok said.

"I can't find the Command pathways to get the system operative, and I don't imagine we have much longer before they find us," I said. "I've got the basic operation down but I can't quite figure out how to lock on to a target, Can you access anything that might function like our targeting scanners,"

"There are bio sensors contained within the monitoring programs of each habitat, Perhaps," Tuvok said.

"What is it?" I said.

"I'm detecting human lifeforms in one of the environments, The Argala Habitat," Tuvok said.

"Tom and B'Elanna," I said.

"Possibly," Tuvok said. "They may have taken refuge there to hide from the Nyrians,"

"Doesn't look very inviting does it," I said.

"The Temperature is -20 degrees Celsius," Tuvok said.

"They can't last long in that we've got to get them out," I said.

"Captain there's a ship approaching at high warp. It's Voyager," Tuvok said.

"If the Nyrians are bringing in Reinforcements, We're in trouble, Keep working on those bio scanners," I said.

"Got them, Tom and B'Elanna is back in our so called habitat," Tuvok said.

"Good Beam 2 off of Voyager in there, Then beam me in there, and stand by to beam all of them in there and everyone back to Voyager," I said.

"Aye Captain," Tuvok said. "Done, Beaming you in now," As I got a weapon.

"You did this," He said.

"I've taken control of your translocation system, My Tactical officer is standing by waiting for my next order," I said.

"And what would that be?" He said.

"Depends on how you answer. Where are my Daughters," I said.

"What daughters," He said.

"Surrender my ship, and release all the prisoners here," I said.

"Unacceptable," He said.

"All right, Fine," I said. "You can stay where you are, And greet your fellow crew members as we translocate them here to join you,"

"And if we do surrender, " He said.

"We'll find you a nice warm habitat where you'll be comfortable while we contact the native worlds of your prisoners and arrange for their return, And once we've disabled your Translocator, You'll be free to go, If I find my Daughters safe and sound," I said. "Fine, You don't want to be reasonable, Tuvok, Get me out of here and prepare to,"

"No wait," He said. "Agreed,"

"Tuvok do it," I said.

Eventually we were all back on Voyager as I went to find my girls and Naomi where I found them in a Jeffries tube.

"Chloe, Clara," I said. "Naomi,"

"Daddy," Chloe said as she came at me hugging me tight.

"Hey Kiddo, Clara you okay," I said.

"We're fine Dad, All 3 of us," Clara said.

"Come on, Let's got out of here," I said.

As we got out where Sam was waiting as she saw Naomi and came and grabbed her hugging her tight.

We were eventually back on the road for home.

"Captain's log Stardate 50929.6, The Nyrians have surrendered Voyager, And my crew is safely back onboard, The former prisoners on the Habitat vessel have contacted their native worlds and are waiting to be taken home, As we resume course for our own home, End log," I said as I headed for my Quarters as I found my Girls and Kes together.
