Howdy Yall! This chapter was supposed to be posted on the 25th March, but due to chapter delays with writing and busy week with work I couldn't post it. But this month has been a lot of content though, but this chapter is quite short... However it finally reaches past the 300K word count! So I hope you enjoy this chapter.

R: I don't know if you already had this planned out before my comments about a way to communicate with wade with an ear piece but I hope my comment help

A: I had some ideas in regards to new gadgets, but couldn't explain much because Paul hadn't cashed out on that mineral yet. He will be investing money for Wade to create gadgets for future missions. Your comment had much of an influence, but there will be things that I want to include but might forget down the track and can't go back to add it in. I mean I can do that, but then it will get too confusing. It's a long story, people might lose focus and interest. But I don't know if people can smash this story within a week once completed or skim through it, I don't know how people go through it. Everyone's different. If this has a high rate of views. Like really really high. In the thousands of favourites/followers. I will pay someone to assist me in creating a wiki for this. But we still got a long way to go in regards to the favourites and content of this story.

Almost a week passed since Christmas. Kim who had been injured with a fractured leg from a Christmas Eve mission involving Drakken's plot to steal a battleship, would be out of action for another few weeks. Usually it would be a long term injury, but it wasn't that bad according to the x-ray scans.

She had to continue wearing her moon boot and use crutches to get around, which made it annoying to go out and all. She couldn't go fast either which really made it hard for her.

Kim's friend Monique and her boyfriend Josh saw how she was going, Wade saw her too and Ron gave her his best wishes from afar via FaceTime.

But Paul visited her everyday. Spending time with her hours on end. Keeping her company and sane. She was extremely thankful for his company.

Everyone would say Kim had it hard. On a humanity level, 100%

But that sunken ship would cost the American military potentially hundreds and millions of dollars. But it wasn't her fault. Drakken used explosives which made the ship split in half, sinking in Lake Ontario.

Even though they talk and see each other everyday, Kim thought it was a blessing in disguise. She and Paul got to know each other much much more than ever before. She wished her leg wasn't fractured. It would be a hard few weeks for her once she goes back to school. No sports. No cheerleading and certainly no missions, which deeply worried her.

Paul going on missions by himself?

She deemed it way too early to tell whether he would able to handle that type of pressure. He's done it once before, but a few times in a row?

She didn't want him to end up like she did.

Kim wasn't going to worry about that now, as it was New Years Eve and wanted a stress free day with her family and her friend.

When it comes to the next big mission, she'll decide what's best. Team Possible always finds a way in the end.

Right now Kim was with Paul at her house, they were about to walk inside Kim's bedroom. This would be the first time he had gone inside her room. Most of the time they would spend time outside or at Paul's house. It was Kim's turn to show hospitality and host Paul over in recent times.

"So this is your room." Paul says as he looks around the tidy room.

"Yeah, I keep it neat as possible. You should see the Tweebs room. It's like a warzone in there."

"I used to be like that, never put anything away after taking it out, at least I've got a study area in my room." Paul says.

"Yeah, I have a designated area in my room for all my work. Plus there's my dad's study room for his space work... Amongst other things."

Paul's eyes meet a certain object in the room.

"Hey, what's that?" Paul says as he looks at Kim's bed.

Paul spotted Kim's plush toy, Pandaroo.

Kim was quiet embarrassed to admit that she still uses a plush toy. Which in fact she still uses while she sleeps at night.

She tried to cover it up.

"T-that? How did that get there? My... Mum usually puts that on my bed. I keep that silly old thing in the closet. Yep. Hasn't seen the day of light for years." Kim says covering up quite nervously.

"Really? But it looks so clean." Paul says.

In fact, Kim told her mum to never wash her Pandaroo. She kept it in prime condition all these years.

Paul walks towards it and inspects it. He picks it up. His interest had peaked to the max. Kim was hoping he didn't find her loveable plush toy childish.

"Wow... I've never seen anything like this before... It looks so... so...what's it called..."

"Stupid. Childish. Kiddy. (Sighs in defeat)" Kim thinks as her crush is about to her downplay her favourite childhood toy.

"Cute and cuddly. Very unique as well." Paul says.

Kim widens her eyes at that.

'Did he just say...' Kim says in her mind.

"You think it's... cute?" Kim says.

"Yeah. I never seen a plush toy like this before. It's a shame though. It suits you. There's no shame in enjoying plush toys Kim. I have a SpongeBob plush toy at home."

"It's just... I've had my Pandaroo since I was young. He's been my favourite toy since I was 5."

"So it's a combination of a Panda and Kangaroo. That's sweet."

"You really think so?" Kim says.

"Yeah. Never heard of a plush toy which combines two animals. Is this the only one you have?"

"Yes it is. And I love him." Kim says with pride.

She was so relived to find out Paul had a plush toy too. Most guys would think that's for babies.

"I bet you do." Paul says admiring the plush toy.

Kim goes on to talk about the Cuddle Buddies. The brand of plush toys that she loves. Including a very rare cuddle buddy that she once saw on her first mission.

"Flamingoat? Hmm... Oh wait! Let me guess... It's a combination of a flamingo and a goat."

"Yes! You remember that first mission I ever went on?"

"I do remember you telling me about that, yes. Something about a millionaire getting caught in he's own laser system at home. What a major L." Paul says.

"Well I saw one of them at Mr Paisley's house. Did you know they only made ten of them?"

"Gee, only 10."

"It's the rarest Cuddly Buddy ever. I've had the opportunity to see one, but I'd love to own one. Too bad they are super hard to find and very expensive to get. At least I had the privilege to see one in person before I pass on." Kim says.

"Okay I stand corrected. You love plushie toys." Paul says, making Kim giggle.

Both continued to talk for some time, both lying down on the bed. Talking about their school lives. Kim even mentioned the time about her braces in Middle School.

It was now less than 30 minutes until the new year begins for them.

"You really had braces?"

"Yeah. Wasn't a fan of them, at least I got them taken out last Summer. But it was worth it to get my teeth straighten and set." Kim sees flashing a bright smile.

"My mum told me I needed to get fillings in mine. Couldn't imagine having braces." Paul says.

"Hey, at least we didn't have that headgear device that they use." Kim says.

Paul was laughing at that and his laugh started to down die. He was enjoying Kim's company quite a lot. Especially since meeting her months ago.

All these stories reminded Paul something.

He wants to tell her the story about Team Go and Shego's background story.

It had been more than a month since it happened at he thought it was time to tell her. No distractions and no procrastinating... Unless her parents barge through her door right now.

"Hey Kim." Paul starts off.

"Yeah?" Kim says.

Paul sits himself up from the bed. "You remember when I went out to Go City on Thanksgiving day?"

Kim nods remembering she couldn't come because of her family commitment. "I do remember." She says.

"Well.. If you recall, I had a long story to explain to you."

"Mhmm" Kim hums in agreeance, she sits up now.

"I've got all the time for you." Kim says with a grin.

He grins back. "Well. It all started when these 4 guys came out of nowhere."

He started to explain about meeting Team Go, who they represented and how their sister was Shego. After explaining to Kim for about 10 or so minutes, going from a focused look, to a surprised look, to a simply shocked look. She couldn't believe Shego used to be a superhero. But she had soo many questions in her head to ask him once he finished explaining.

"And they told me to keep their secret safe and you'd be the only one I would able to tell you about their past. So yeah... What shocked me the most was that their parents got seriously hurt from the comet, without them seeing them once they had passed on and the fact that Shego used to be a superhero." Paul finished explaining.

Kim was quiet after hearing this. If she couldn't get anyone to go on this mission, she might have never found out about this big story that was out there and that her second biggest rival Shego was once on the good side. She was thinking, why she turned a life of evil? What made her change sides? What made her snap? Who was to blame?

"Wow... That's a lot to take in..." Kim says trying to process everything Paul had said.

"I'm sorry I should have told you soon-" Paul says before being interrupted.

"No no no no no. Don't be. I mean... Right now. I can't even be mad at you, because I'm so freaking grateful for you."

"I just didn't want to keep you in the dark about that. I-I was shocked as well... So yeah..." Paul says rubbing his neck.

"You been a blessing in disguise for me. It was hard for me, when Ron went overseas, and you came along and fill that void."

"Thanks Kim. I mean I'm just a normal guy doing the right thing. I don't wanna feel like I'm replacing him."

"No, it's not like that. He understands.. Trust me. I mean he can be out of order sometimes and over exaggerating and all."

"That's good old Ron for ya." Paul says.

"Also... I'm going to be upset when it comes time for you to leave in a year and a half's time." Kim says.

In all honesty, Paul hadn't thought about leaving for some time now. Sure last week he wanted to see his family for Christmas, but he enjoyed the people in America.

"That is still a long time though." Paul says.

"I guess so... I mean you have to enjoy the moments that count... Right?" Kim comes closer towards the teen.

"Yeah" He says quietly.

Kim just continues to grin. She places her hand on Paul's leg, before moving to his other arm as she come in for a side hug. He was surprised by Kim's boldness.

Paul appeared to say something, with his lips motion to speak but closes them after a few seconds deciding to let the moment go without interrupting it.

He really liked her... But would it even work as a long distance if he asked her to be the one?

Later that night, it was a few minutes until 2021 would begin. Everyone was outside awaiting the fireworks show to begin.

"Boys settle down. I don't know why you want to use so many of your rockets tonight." James says to his sons, as they prepare for their DIY firework show.

Both stare at each other. They wanted to get rid of their stash of fireworks to prevent any harm or injury to other people. This was a eyebrow raiser as they were troublesome boys at times. But they thought it was the right thing to do.

"Uh.. We thought it would good spirit for the up and coming new year." Jim says.

"To start the new year off with a bang!" Tim says swinging his arm across his chest showing his exaggerated enthusiasm.

Both parents looked on sceptically, but James thought it was a nice touch.

"That's a good idea boys." James says.

Both boys give off an internal sigh of relief. No more pranks involving fireworks... Except for their emergency stash.

With less than a minute until the new year.

Kim and Paul were staring up at the beautiful night sky. In a few seconds time, it will be filled with fireworks.

"Happy New Year!"

The twins released their fireworks into the sky. It was quite loud being right next to them as their being set off.

It was a great 8 minutes worth of fireworks from the twins. Don't know how they got all of them, but let's leave it at that.

"Great firework display boys." Ann says

"And you didn't get any in the neighbours yard." James says.

"Thanks mum and dad." Jim says.

"But we have one last surprise in store." Tim adds.

"What's that dear?" Ann says.

"Sparklers!" Both boys say at the same time. Both parents eyes widen. I guess old habits die hard.

"Oh no you don't boys!" Ann says trying to grab the sparklers from his hand. She starts chasing them around the yard

"Come back here!" James says as now both parents were chasing their younger sons. While Paul and Kim were occupied with the rest of the fireworks in the sky, as they both stand next to each other.

"Happy New Year Kim."

"Happy New Year Paul."

2020 had officially finished for both teens.

Paul had finished the new year and started the new year in a different country. For the first time ever.

Kim had finished the new year and started the new year without her best friend Ron. For the first time ever.

Both wondered what 2021 would have to offer for Team Possible... And Wade, don't forget about Wade.

Flashback to the past week...

In Australia

Christmas had just passed in Australia as we zoom into a house in the suburbs.

"Hey Lucas, you got something in the mail... Oh! It's from Paul!" Lucas' mother holding up a white envelope.

"Paul? Sending me a letter? Why wouldn't he just send me a message." He grabs the letter from his mum.

"Reminds me back in the days where you teens didn't have phones to message each other. We used to send emails, letters or just call from the landline."

"Mum it's 2020. Things are different." Lucas says while opening this letter up, "And besides Paul's probably sending a late... Christmas... Letter... Mum. Could you please go outside for a minute." Lucas stares at the contents inside the letter.

Lucas' mum exited his room, closing the door behind her as Lucas held up a cheque.

A similar one that Paul gave to Wade and Kim a few weeks ago.

His head started to twitch before exclaiming excitedly at the amount of money he saw written down.

Jason walked into his room and sees a letter on his desk. He placed his bag down and opens up the letter.

Upon seeing the contents inside of the letter, he started to shake at this, he nervously gets up. His legs shaking every time he walks, exiting his room and ends up knocking on a door, his smaller brother opens the door up.

"Hit me." Jason says.

"What?" The smaller kid says.

"I said, hit me." Jason says.

Manny was in his room on his PC, as he's older brother barrages in his room.

"Hey Dickhead, a letter came in the mail for you." Manny's older brother, Nick said throwing the letter at his head.

"Geez, could you not throw it towards my face? These letters have sharp corners. You could've poked my eye out!"

"Whatever bro, blame Americus Callahan." Manny opens the letter while his brother talks. "Well what is it?" Manny's bro asked.

The other teen was shocked and silent.

"What? Someone sent you blackmail photos?"

Eventually Manny faints upon seeing the cheque, falling off his swirly chair.

"Manny? Bro? You okay?" Nick says showing real concern as his brother had a wide grin on his face.

At Paul's house in Melbourne. His entire family, except for his father were at home. They received a letter from their son.

"Look guys. It's a letter from Paul." Paul's mother says.

"Really?" Gwen says.

"Open it Open it. Open it." Gwyneth says excited to hear from his older sibling.

"Okay okay... Oh look. There's a cute little pocket attached to the letter." Madelyn says opening up the small cover and she pulls out a small note.

"Hang on, it's got some writing on it." She says.

She reads the note out loud.

'Don't open the letter until the 30th June 2022, unless in debt.'

Everyone at the table looked at each other. It was quite strange for him to write them a letter, especially that message he had written down. The word 'Debt' puzzled them. It was weird enough he sent a letter, but his mum probably thought it was one of those long distance letters that people sent to talk about their experience and what's happening in life. But she followed his instructions and didn't open up the letter. But they wondered what was inside the letter. Meanwhile the saw the rest of the mail.

"Also another cheque from the government."

"You know those start to get boring after a while. I mean the money is nice and all. But I really miss Paul though." Gwen says with honesty, her sister nods in agreement. Even though he can be a ballbreaker at times at home, she really missed having him around the house.

"We all do sweetie, but we can't do anything about it." Madelyn says, missing her son as well.

Everyone at home was missing him. They hoped the two year program would end sooner than possible.

Author Notes:

I know this is a really short chapter, but things happen.

- I know every 3-4 chapters I drop the potentially slow burn between Kim and Paul, but that's how the story goes. She did finally kiss him on the check for his heroic bravery on Christmas Eve.

- Americus Callahan received the first patent for a windowed envelope on 10 June 1902.

- If you don't remember who Lucas, Jason and Manny are, they are OC Characters that are Paul's friends back in Australia.

- And if you certainly can't remember who Angelino (Father, NO APPERANCE IN THIS CHAPTER), Madelyn (Mother), Gwyneth (Youngest Sibling) and Gwen (Middle Sibling) Kanellopoulos are, they are Paul's family back in Australia.

- Those last two points will always appear the same whenever they make appearances.
