So I spent a long time traveling, working and studying. As excited as I was at the beginning of this story, time passed and I ended up losing the rhythm. But I've read such good stories around here, that I decided to try again.
All reviews are welcome! It's always good to know if the story and writing are pleasing and being a good distraction in your day. English is not my main language and the characters are not mine. Hope you really like it!

Chapter 4
Most of the time, Sara worked with facts. Her scientific mind taught her that.
And that was a fact that she loved Grissom.
But, sure, it started out as a huge attraction.
Soon enough, though, almost at the same day, really, she realized Gil Grissom was more than looks, but brains too.
Oh, and she craved that brain like crazy. But not in a creepy way, you see.
No, she couldn't wait to get his opinion about everything. The conversation flew between them easily. One subject led to another, and when both realized, hours had passed and the afternoon turned into night.
When she started working with him, she saw a professional she could trust. Someone who, no matter what, would do the right thing. Someone who could hold the forte, someone who wanted justice and truth.
And when they started dating, she discovered a sensitive and loving man hidden beneath baggy clothes, distant behavior and encrypted words.
It seemed to be impossible, but, yeah, Sara discovered that she loved him even more. More and more everyday.
The beginning of the relationship was, to say the least, quite physical. Of course they talked, watched a movie on TV and shared a meal, but in the end, it all led to one place:
Sara's bed. Grissom's bed. Sara's couch. Grissom's couch. Showers at both houses. Balconies. Tables. Floor. Walls. Whatever.
It was way too physical. Too intense. Too hot.
Hugs were accompanied by open mouthed kisses, tongues tasting the other's neck, shoulders, chest. Hands always had one goal in mind.
Sara got to the point to intensify her running routine and fill up the refrigerator with Gatorade. You know, to keep up with the activities without losing her breath.
If she had to choose the moment their arrangement changed to a relationship, and some invisible key turned, it'd be that moment in that afternoon.
The moment she left her room ready to go for a run, Grissom was washing some dishes from the early morning, still in his boxers and t-shirt.
"You leaving?", he asked while rinsing a glass.
"I'm going for a run"
"Oh"
She realized that she had woken up, gone to the bathroom, and made her decision before she'd even said good morning. Which justified Grissom's confused gaze toward the dishes. Was he thinking the run was a way to kick him out of her house?
"Yeah, but you can stay, you know. I won't be long"
Grissom looked interested and relieved at the same time.
"You know, I could come along. How long do you run?"
"About seven miles"
His shoulders and face fell.
"Seven miles is a really long distance"
"Some could say that, but it won't take long. 40, 45 minutes tops"
"I beg your pardon?"
"Yeah, when I'm not feeling lazy today, so…"
"It's pretty fast already. I can't keep up with you"
Sara noticed his disappointment. She took a bottle of water from the fridge.
"You know what?" Sara said, getting closer to him, "Why don't you take your time, stay here till I come back?" - she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed his cheek softly and lovely before distracting herself from him.
He smiled, contently. It was brief, but she felt an immense peace in that moment, as if everything was finally complete.
"Can you leave your key? I need to buy some stuff downstairs while you come back"
She was at her door, almost leaving, when "Sure, I will make you a copy of it, so you can always come and go without problems" left her mouth as naturally as her own voice.
Damn!
"Well I–, uh.. I see you later, Griss"
She shut the door without believing what has just happened. She needed to say something, anything, to amenize the situation and guarantee that he wasn't going to freak out. She turned around and knocked her own door. Grissom opened it.
"And if you're game, tomorrow we can go for a walk, there's no need to rush anything. Bring your shoes", she smiled. He smiled even more.
"I'm game!"
"This is awesome, Grissom!" - she said with an unnecessary enthusiasm for the moment, but, eh, whatever.
He leaned forward and kissed her softly on her cheek.
"Have a good run, honey. I'll be waiting"
Yeah, whatever!
