Chapter 68.
Waking Moments.
(Scott POV)
It was weird. I was walking in the corridor on Deck 2, Heading for the Mess hall. But no one was there.
"Computer Lights on," I said. But nothing happened. "Neelix, Is anybody here? Neelix?"
"What can I do for you, Captain," Neelix said.
"Where is everybody?" I said.
"Didn't you see them when you came in?" Neelix said.
"No," I said.
"Take a look, Computer, Activate lights," Neelix said. As they came on and saw 4 people covered in webs.
"What the hell, What happened to them?" I said.
"They died," Neelix said.
"Why?" I said.
"You didn't get them home in time," Neelix said as I looked at him. And Saw this alien next to him.
"Who the hell are you," I said. Then I woke up. "What the hell," As I saw I was in my quarters. Then I headed over and saw Clara and Chloe asleep together.
"Computer, Time," I said.
"0740 hours," Computer said. As I went and got ready for the Bridge. Then Grabbed myself something to eat. And headed up to the Bridge. After I checked a few things in my ready room I headed out to the Bridge But didn't see Harry and Tom.
"Seem to be a little shorthanded today," I said.
"Tom and Harry are both late," Chakotay said. "I was going to give them another 5 minutes, But I'll call them now if you'd like,"
"That's all right, I'm a little late myself Aren't I," I said.
"I wasn't going to mention it," Chakotay said. "Burning the midnight oil?"
"Actually I went to bed early for a change, But I had a nightmare and I couldn't get back to sleep," I said.
"I had a bad dream last night too," Chakotay said.
"You tell me yours and I'll tell you mine," I said.
"Sorry, I'm late, Captain," Tom said.
"Well?" I said.
"I was in the forest with my father, We were hunting deer which was odd, Because that was something I always refused to do," Chakotay said. "We cornered the animal, I looked to my father to see if he was going to kill it, but he wasn't my father anymore, He was a vicious-looking alien,"
"There was an alien in my dream too," I said. "And It wasn't from any race, I've seen before, he had sharp ridges on his forehead and on the front of his neck,"
"That's what mine looked like," Chakotay said.
"I don't meant to be eavesdropping but, I had a nightmare last night, Too, And I'm pretty sure I saw the same guy," Tom said.
"Tuvok, By any chance did you have a bad dream last night," I said.
"I did have a somewhat unsettling dream yes, It involved an alien with ridges on his face and neck," Tuvok said.
"Okay, This is getting weird, And more than just a coincidence, Let's get the rest of the senior staff together and come up with some answers, Which reminds me, Where's harry Tom?" I said.
"Bridge to Ensign Kim," Chakotay said.
"Computer Locate Ensign Kim," I said.
"Ensign Kim is in his quarters," Computer said.
"Tuvok," I said. "Deck 6, I've got a hunch Harry's dreaming about our new alien friend," I said.
"That would be consistent with the experiences the rest of us have had," Tuvok said.
"Tell me more about your dream," I said. "Where exactly did you see the alien?"
"As a matter of Fact it was here in the turbolift," Tuvok said.
"What happened?" I said.
"The Alien simply stared at me as if scrutinizing my appearance," Tuvok said.
"That's what happened in my dream," I said. "But I already said what the Hell are you doing here? Then Woke up. What did you do,"
"I returned to my quarters," Tuvok said.
"Did the alien follow you," I said.
"He did," Tuvok said.
"And then?" I said.
"He watched me," Tuvok said.
"Doing what?" I said.
"Getting Dressed," Tuvok said.
"Getting Dressed," I said.
"Yes," Tuvok said.
"I don't suppose I want to ask why you were undressed," I said.
"I would prefer that you didn't," Tuvok said.
"Okay then," I said. As we got to Harry's Quarters. Then Tried to get in. "Harry, Harry,"
"Computer Open door 105 - 2, Security Clearance Tuvok Zeta 9," Tuvok said. As It opened the door.
Then We went in. And over to Harry,
"Harry, Harry, Wake up," I said. "What the hell, McCall to Sickbay,"
"Go ahead Captain," Doc said.
"Report to Harry Kim's Quarters, Harry isn't waking up," I said.
"On my way, Captain," Doc said.
Tuvok Find out if anyone else is the same as Harry," I said.
"Aye Captain," Tuvok said.

Then We were Down in Sickbay and there were others.
"Are they comatose?" I said.
"Not exactly, They all appear to be in a Hyper Rem state, I've tired every conventional method of waking them, From Drugs to Direct cortical stimulation, But nothing works," Doc said.
"Do you have any idea what's causing this," I said.
"Scan Haven't detected any viral or Bacterial agents, No Cranial trauma, No neural disorders, They're simply asleep," Doc said.
"I'd say it a pretty good bet this is somehow related to the alien from our dreams," I said.
"Any progress Identifying him," Doc said.
"But yet, But I've got everyone working on it," I said. "In the meantime, What's your recommendation?"
"Large doses of animazine," Doc said.
"I thought you said drugs weren't working," I said.
"Not for them, For everybody else," Doc said. "Until I can determine what's happening I'd suggest the rest of you avoid going to sleep,"
"I'd rather get hit by Clara's Enzyme Then that," I said.
"That would work for you, But I wouldn't recommend Chloe getting it. I have to get Chloe and Clara the Drug. Since Clara can't hit herself with the Enzyme," Doc said.
"Alright, Give me the drugs for them, I'll give them it," I said.

We were in the Conference room with what was left of the senior staff.
"I'd say his ridges were a little more pronounced," Tom said.
"Computer increase facial ridge height by 4 centimeters," B'Elanna said.
"That's closer," Tom said.
"I think his eyes were wider apart," Chakotay said.
"Computer, increase the space between the eyes by 3 centimeters," B'Elanna said. "Increase skin colour and texture,"
"That's him," I said.
"Has anybody seen this species before?" Chakotay said. "While you were Awake, I mean, 7,"
"He doesn't resemble any species assimilated by the Borg," 7 said.
"So is he just a figment of our imagination?" Tom said.
"If he is, We've all been imagining the exact same thing," B'Elanna said.
"One possible explanation is that he's attempting to make telepathic contact," Tuvok said.
"He's doing more than making contact, We've got 6 crew members who can't wake up," I said. "For all we know it's some sort of attack,"
"From where?" 7 said. "Astrometrics scans haven't revealed any ships in this vicinity, Or planet capable of sustaining humanoid life,"
"So where do we look?" Tom said.
"In our dreams," Chakotay said. "That's the only place any of us have seen him, right, So if we want to communicate with him, Find out what he wants, We'll have to do it on his terms,"
"How do you propose we do that?" Tuvok said.
"Lucid dreaming," Chakotay said.
"What's that?" B'Elanna said.
"It's a technique which allows you to take control of your dream," Chakotay said.
"That happened to me once," Tom said. "I dreamt I was falling and suddenly I realized that I was dreaming, And I could fly, Land, Do whatever I wanted, I was in complete control of the dream,"
"What happened to you by accident, is something some people can do by design, I've been able to have a lucid dream by using the same technology I use for a vision quest, I may be able to use it to communicate with this alien," Chakotay said.
"Maybe so, But How do we know you'd be able to wake up again?" I said.
"It's kind of like Self hypnosis," Chakotay said. "Before I go to sleep I choose a visual cue Something to let me know I'm dreaming, Earth's Moon, say, Once I see it, I can wake myself by tapping the back of my hand 3 times,"
Perhaps you are capable of doing this under normal circumstances, but these were hardly conventional dreams we experience," Tuvok said.
"I don't see any other way of finding out what our friend here is after, Or how we can wake up Harry and the others," Chakotay said.
"If he is a friend. For all we know this is their way of attacking," I said.
"We can't stay awake forever, Captain," Chakotay said.
"You'll do this in Sickbay, Under the Doctor's supervision The rest of you keep scanning the region, Analyse this ship from stem to sterm, Wherever he is, Find him, Come on," I said.

Then I was going into Sickbay with Chakotay as he was ready.
"Normally, I consider a good night's sleep, an important part of any health regimen, But in this case, I can't recommend it," Doc said.
"I respect your medical opinion, Doctor, But at this point we're out of options," Chakotay said.
"This will regulate your Hypothalamus, But in all probability, I won't be able to wake you," Doc said. "You'll be on your own,"
"Ready," I said. "Good luck, Call me once he wakes up,"
"Here You should give Clara and Chloe these," Doc said.
"Thanks," I said. Heading out. "Computer Locate Clara and Chloe McCall,"
"Clara and Chloe McCall are in their Quarters," Computer said.
As I headed for my quarters.
Then Went into my quarters.
"Clara, Chloe," I said.
"Dad," Clara said.
"We're here, Daddy," Chloe said.
"Come here, You need these okay," I said.
"Yes," Clara said as Chloe nodded. As I give them the injection.
"There you go, Chloe, Give me a minute with your sister," I said.
"Okay, Daddy," Chloe said. As Chloe went into her and Clara's room.
"Dad, What is it," Clara said.
"Come with me," I said. As we went into my room and I closed the door.
"Dad what is going on?" Clara said.
"I need you to use our enzyme," I said.
"Dad," Clara said.
"I know, But right now, That will help me," I said.
"Dad," Clara said.
"Kiddo. You know I've got a side which can get rid of that faster than your Enzyme," I said.
"Alright, Dad, You should lay down," Clara said as I took my shirt off and laid down. "Sorry Dad but it will hurt,"
"Just do it, Clara," I said. As Clara grabbed my hand.
"Hold on," Clara said as Clara did it. As I felt her Enzyme go into me. Then It stopped. "Dad, Hey, Dad,"
"I'm fine," I said.
"Dad, You sure," Clara said.
"Yeah, Sweet heart," I said. As I got up and put my shirt back on. Then Clara hugged me Tight. "Hey, Easy,"
"Just don't make me do that too often Dad, I don't like seeing you like that," Clara said.
"I know, It's only till this is over, Clara. I love you," I said.
"Love you too, Dad," Clara said.
"Stay with Chloe don't let her fall asleep. Call the Doc if you need another dose. Or Use the Enzyme on her. Not too much, just enough till the doc gets here," I said.
"I will Dad," Clara said.
Then I left and headed out.
"Doctor to the Captain," Doc said.
"Go ahead, Doc," I said.
"Commander Chakotay has awaken up," Doc said.
"On my way," I said.
As I headed for Sickbay and got over to Chakotay.
"Congratulation, Commander, You're awake," Doc said.
"Chakotay," I said.
"I'm fine," Chakotay said.
"The Alien, Did you see him," I said. "And,"
"Well, it was certainly one of the most interesting away missions I've ever been on, I'll tell you about it on the way to the Bridge," Chakotay said.

"Tuvok, Scan for a 6 planet system, It should be less than a parsec from here," I said.
"I have it Captain," Tuvok said. "At Coordinates 139 mark 42,"
"Tom lay in a course" I said.
"Aye Captain," Tom said. "Course laid in, Do you mind if I ask where we're heading?"
"Past the Alien's territory, Once we're clear of it, Harry and the others should wake up," Chakotay said.
"And the rest of us can finally get some sleep," Tom said.
"One step at a time, Tom," I said.
"From what the alien told me, It sounds like they have corporeal form, But they communicate through their dreams, For them it's as real as the waking world," Chakotay said.
"Extraordinary," I said.
"It reminds me of the Australian Aborigines," Chakotay said. "They Believed the dream world was no more or less real than the waking world, In fact, Their creation mythology says their ancestors actually dreamed the universe into existence,"
"That's Mythology, This seems to be fact," I said.
"I wonder, Do they ever wake up?" Chakotay said. "How did they evolve this way,"
"We may never know," I said. "Sometimes first contact is last contact,"
"We're approaching the border of the Alien's space," Tom said.
"Commander Tuvok Inform the Doc," I said.
"Aye Captain," Tuvok said.

We got hit.
"Red Alert, All hands to Battle stations," I said.
"They're coming around for another pass," Tom said.
"Auxiliary power to shields," I said. "Return Fire,"
"No damage to the Alien ship," Chakotay said. "Our Phasers can't penetrate their shields,"
"Arm Photon Torpedoes, We seem to have a knack for provoking strangers these days," I said.
"Shields are offline," Tuvok said.
"Fire," I said.
"I've lost power to the Torpedo launchers," Chakotay said.
"What's happening?" I said.
"Power is being Drained from all systems," Tuvok said.
"Harry ZPMs," I said.
"The Entire matrix is offline, I can't get it to respond," Harry said. "We're being hailed,"
"About time. On screen" I said.
"Captain," He said. "Ensign Kim, Commander Chakotay, I'm glad to see you all up and about,"
"McCall to Engineering We need auxiliary power to the Engines now," I said.
"I think you'll find that impossible," He said.
"B'Elanna report," I said.
"There's a localized dampening field around the ship, Captain, I can't give you Engines, Weapons, Shields," B'Elanna said.
"Everything you told me was a lie," Chakotay said. "This was all an elaborate trap to get Voyager here,"
"It appears you're learning more about my people after all," He said. "Prepare to surrender your ship,"
"Captain, 3 more aliens vessels are approaching," Tuvok said. "They are powering weapons,"
"B'Elanna, ZPMs." I said.
"I can't get it back online," B'Elanna said.
"You've gone to so much trouble to commandeer this ship," I said. "I don't think you're going to destroy it,"
"I won't need to," He said. As more of them beamed in.
"McCall to the Crew, We're under attack, Implement Defense Procedure Omega," I said.
"It's no use, The Ship is ours," He said. Then we were lead to the Cargo Bay 2. Where I found Sam.
"Sam, Where is Naomi," I said.
"She was With Clara and Chloe, Captain, But I haven't seen them," Sam said.
"Maybe Clara Already doing it again just like last time," I said.
"I hope so Captain," Sam said.
"Hey, Hold on tight, They're going to be fine," I said.
"All the time I thought I was negotiating, They were just setting us up to fly right into their web," Chakotay said.
"You couldn't have known it was a trick," I said.
"I don't understand, They exist in dreams and Reality," Harry said.
"Apparently Entering our Dreams, Was their way to learn about us, Perhaps to probe our weaknesses," Tuvok said.
"Not to mention lure us into an ambush," Tom said.
"We need to retake the ship," Chakotay said.
"That means getting out of this cargo bay," I said.
"I checked the Jefferies tubes they're sealed," B'Elanna said.
"Maybe we can open them manually," I said.
"That's not going to be easy, They've got people everywhere," Chakotay said.
"We'll have to create a diversion," Tuvok said.
"Any Ideas?" I said.
"I have one Captain," 7 said. Then Throw Harry down.
"What the hell are you doing?" Harry said.
"Creating a diversion," 7 said softly.
"If I knew she was going to do this, I will be pissing about laughing," I said.
"It is your fault we have been captured," 7 said. "I suggest you fight back,"
"Tom, "Try to get into a Jefferies tube, You 2 work on the power grid, I'll deal with this," I said.
"What's going on here These are my people I'll handle them," I said. "Ensign that's enough, Move,"
(Clara POV)
I was on the Bridge and found everyone including Dad asleep. Chloe fell asleep an hour ago. I tried calling Dad but he never answered. Now I know why. I tired to give Dad more. But it didn't work.
So I headed for Sickbay. Hopefully the Doc could help.
Once I got there. Chakotay woke up.
"Commander Chakotay you're awake," Doc said.
"Am I?" Chakotay said.
"Yes, you are," I said.
"Are you sure?" Chakotay said.
"Of course you are," Doc said.
"What are you looking for," I said.
"The Moon," Chakotay said.
"What?" Doc said.
"I don't see it," Chakotay said. "Where's the Captain,"
"Dad is out cold. As is everyone else, Chloe Fell asleep an hour ago. So did Naomi," I said.
"All of them," Chakotay said.
"Except us," Doc said. "No rest for the never weary,"
"What happened?" Chakotay said.
"As soon as you entered your lucid dream, They all began falling asleep one by one, I've been trying every method I can think of to revive them, But nothing works," Doc said.
"Not even my Enzyme, I tired it on Dad. Before I came here," I said.
"It's been 39 hours," Doc said.
"Chloe and Naomi only fell asleep an hour ago," I said.
"I've been asleep for almost 2 days," Chakotay said.
"If I can't wake them soon, I'm going have to start feeding them intravenously," Doc said.
"They let me think I was awake but I was still dreaming," Chakotay said.
"You weren't the only one, Look at this," Doc said.
"What is it?" Chakotay said.
"Oh no," I said. "That's a neurogenic field created by heightened electrical activity in the brain. In another word a picture plant," I said.
"It's been occurring in all of the sleeping crew members, And that's not all," Doc said.
"What is it?" I said.
"This is Ensign Kim's Brain wave pattern indicating that he's dreaming in a hyper Rem State, Crewman fosters," Doc said.
"They're identical. Wait are they all the same," I said.
"Lt Torres, Captain McCall. Commander Tuvok," Doc said. "I don't know what it means,"
"That everyone is having the same dream," I said.
"Clara's Right. Not only are they dreaming. It's the same exact dream," Chakotay said.
"What was it," I said.
"It wasn't just my dream. It was a communal dream," Chakotay said.
"Everyone's REM Patterns are identical," Doc said. "They're experiencing the same images, Each from his or her own point of view,"
"Yes, I saw the rest of the crew, interacted with them, We were all working together to fight off an alien attack," Chakotay said.
"Which wasn't real," Doc said.
"Oh We're under attack all right," Chakotay said.
"Commander," Doc said.
"This is similar to a device the Wraith had built once, It done the exact same thing once. But everyone was experiencing different dreams," I said.
"And this is the way these aliens fight their enemies, They exist somewhere is our reality as physical beings But they must be asleep unable to defend themselves against what they call waking species," Chakotay said. "We'll never defeat them in their dream reality,"
"Then We do it here, in ours," I said.
"Find them where they're sleeping, We'll have the advantage," Chakotay said.
"And force them to stop and wake everyone back up," I said.
"But we've been scanning for lifeforms since this started and we haven't found anything," Doc said.
"Then we are looking in the wrong place," I said.
"I'm betting a species that spends it's time sleeping isn't going to be hanging around where conventional scans can locate them," Chakotay said.
"So how do we find them," Doc said.
"This Neurogenic field anyone in a hyper REM state would product one. So we should be scanning for another neurogenic fields," I said.
"If you need me I'll be on the Bridge," Chakotay said.
"I head to Astrometrics see if those sensor can pick it up," I said.
"Let's go," Chakotay said. As we headed for the Turbolift. And I went straight for Deck 8 and into Astrometrics starting to scan for that damn field.
After an hour the Doc showed up.
"How are you feeling," Doc said.
"Fine, It's weird, Guess it my Enzyme It's not letting me feel it," I said.
"Didn't know that could happen," Doc said.
"Same, Damn nothing. Tried every scan these Sensors can do nothing," I said. "Bridge Now,"
"That's my next stop," Doc said.
"Let's go then," I said as we headed for the Turbolift and onto the Bridge.
"Time for a little energy boost, Commander," Doc said. "We don't want you drifting back to sleep, Sorry about the mess, but this is what happens when my repeated requests for a larger sickbay fall on deaf ears,"
"I didn't get anything on the Astrometrics sensors. Anything," I said.
"What is it," Doc said.
"Scanners have detected a neurogenic field emanating from beneath the surface of a planet less than a lightyear from here," Chakotay said.
"Then Let's get going, Sorry Tom, Got to change our course," I said. setting it up and going. "Let's go, Okay we should be there in about an hour,"
"Good," Chakotay said.
(Scott POV)
"Still dreaming?" Neelix said. "How is that possible,"
"I don't know but that's what Chakotay said. right before he vanished," B'Elanna said.
"That doesn't make any sense he was wide awake right here with us," I said.
"He said something about still being asleep," B'Elanna said. "And then he started tapping the back of his hand like he said he would to wake up from his lucid dream,"
"And then he disappeared, Wait now, Woke up. Oh no, We have this all wrong," I said. "We are the ones dreaming here, All of us in the same dream at the same exact point in the dream, Because if this was all Chakotay's dream why would we still be here if we weren't asleep,"
"Now I'm lost," B'Elanna said.
"You're not the only one," Neelix said.
"We are all asleep right here and now, This is those aliens doing. We have the same exact nightmare," I said.
"That's ridiculous, We're not asleep," Harry said.
"Collective unconsciousness," 7 said.
"That's it, 7 come here, The borg share a collective consciousness," I said.
"These aliens may have somehow induced a state of collective unconsciousness," 7 said.
"You mean, We're all sharing the same dream?" B'Elanna said.
"It is possible," Tuvok said.
"This is all fascinating speculation, But unless we have proof to the contrary, We have to treat this like an invasion," I said.
"I managed to open a Jefferies tube hatch," Tom said.
"Good work, Neelix, 7, Harry, Do what you can to distract the guards, Tuvok, B'Elanna Let's take our ship back," I said.
As we got to Engineering.
"Looks like a complete power drain," I said.
"Their dampening field has shut down the warp core," B'Elanna said.
"Which begs the question, of what they intend to do with an unpowered ship," Tuvok said.
"Tuvok Grab some Phaser rifles from the weapons locker," I said. "Something tells me when we try to disable the dampening field, we're going to get the alien's attention,"
"It looks like they're using harmonic inversion technology, If I can isolate the containment frequency, I may be able to get main power back online," B'Elanna said.
"Yes," I said.
"That was easy," B'Elanna said.
"Warning Warp core breach in 60 seconds," Computer said.
"Too easy," I said.
"I don't understand," B'Elanna said.
"Can you eject the core?" I said.
"I'm trying, It's not working," B'Elanna said.
"Warp core breach in 50 seconds," Computer said. As the Klaxons went Red.
"We've got to get out of here," B'Elanna said. "I'm trying to put up a containment field around engineering,"
"Warp core breach in 40 seconds," Computer said.
"Got it, Let's move," B'Elanna said.
As we started to head out.
"I don't understand why you couldn't eject the core," I said.
"Warp core Breach in 30 seconds," Computer said.
"Something's not right," I said.
"Captain we must hurry," Tuvok said.
"I'm going back in there," I said.
"You'll be killed," B'Elanna said.
"Warp core breach in 15 seconds," Computer said.
"I think I'm onto something, You 2 go," I said.
"Captain," Tuvok said.
"That's an order," I said. as I headed back in.
"Warp core breach in 10 seconds," Computer said. "9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,"
Then there was an explosion but I was still standing and the warp core was in one piece. Knew it. So I headed out.
"Either I've become impervious to antimatter explosions, or we're still dreaming," I said.
"A warp core explosion should have destroyed the ship," B'Elanna said.
"If I were awake or If any of this were real," I said. "Which it isn't, Things just weren't adding up, Chakotay's disappearance, The Warp core failing to eject, And as Chakotay said. Lucid dreaming is about taking control, I basically took a chance,"
"Surely, there must have been a less extreme method of testing your assumptions, As Captain you shouldn't be taking chances with your life," Tuvok said.
"I'm touched by your concern, Tuvok," I said.
"Now that we know this is a dream, What do we do," B'Elanna said.
"I suggest we find a way to regain consciousness," Tuvok said.
(Clara POV)
I was on Tactical then I noticed Chakotay head was on the console.
"Chakotay, Chakotay, Bridge to The Doctor," I said.
"Go ahead," Doc said.
"Get your ass up here, Now, Chakotay is asleep," I said.
"On my way," Doc said.
As The Doc got here and woke him up.
"It's alright Commander you're awake again," Doc said.
"We just coming into orbit," I said.
"What happened?" Chakotay said.
"You dozed off, Lucky I called the doc as soon as I saw you," I said.
"I couldn't wake myself like I did before," Chakotay said.
"We Right next to the neurogenic field is making it more difficult to stay conscious, I'm fine, Though," I said.
"I need to get down there and find a way to neutralize it," Chakotay said.
"Not so fast," Doc said. "This is a highly potent animazine derivative, If your feel yourself falling asleep again, You must use it,"
"Chakotay, Keep an open com line," I said.
"Do it, Keep an eye on Voyager," Chakotay said heading for the Turbolift.
"I'll be back in Sickbay," Doc said.
"I'll be ready," I said.
(Scott POV)
"It's not working," I said.
"It's safe to assume that Chakotay and the Doctor are making every effort to wake us from our sleep," Tuvok said.
"But where are Chloe, Clara and Naomi, Why aren't they here," I said. "We have to let the rest of the crew know what's happening that as long as they know they're in a dream, They can't be harmed,"
"And if the aliens try to stop us," B'Elanna said.
"Then we turn this dreamworld of theirs, Into a pissing nightmare," I said Taking a Phaser Rifle from Tuvok.
(Clara POV)
"Chakotay to Voyager," Chakotay said.
"We're reading you Chakotay," I said.
"I'm in," Chakotay said.
"Chakotay," I said.
"I've found the Aliens," Chakotay said.
"Yes," I said.
(Scott POV)
"Stand aside," I said.

"Have you thought about what's happening to your bodies in the waking world?" He said. "How long do you think they'll survive without nourishment, With out Physical activity, Your bodies are withering away as we speak, You can't stop it,"

"It's some kind of Transmitter, It looks like they use it to amplify the neurogenic field," Chakotay said.
"Can you turn it off," Doc said.
"I tired knocking it out with my phaser, But there's some kind of force field," Chakotay said.
"Chakotay," I said.
"I'm sorry," Chakotay said. "I'm having trouble concentrating,"
"Time for you medicine," Doc said.
"Doctor, This animazine it's pretty powerful," Chakotay said.
"Yes and you need it," I said.
"And I suggest you take it immediately," Doc said.
"These aliens, They look pretty frail," Chakotay said.
"That's fascinating, Commander," Doc said.
"Chakotay, Take it," I said.
"They probably wouldn't have the same tolerance for stimulants that we do," Chakotay said.
"What are you getting at?" Doc said.
"The Animazine might be capable of waking up one of these aliens," Chakotay said.
"Commander, I'd be happy to discuss comparative pharmacology with you after you administer your injection," Doc said.
"Actually I think I'm going to give it to one of my sleepy friends here," Chakotay said.
"What would that do, Chakotay," I said.
"If I can wake him up, I might be able to get him to deactivate this generator," Chakotay said.
"There's not enough animazine for 2 doses, If you fall asleep there's no way I can revive you," Doc said.
"Clara, Target my com signal with a photon torpedo," Chakotay said.
"What," I said. "Are you crazy, You asking me to kill you,"
"Not just me, These aliens, And their transmitter too, But only if you don't hear from me in 5 minutes understood," Chakotay said.
"Are you nuts," I said.
"Understood," Chakotay said.
"Fine," I said. Heading over to Tactical and loaded a Photon torpedo into the bay and locked onto his signal.
(Scott POV)
One of the Aliens disappeared.
"What happened?" He said.
"Looks like he woke up," I said.
Then Chakotay came back.
"Chakotay," I said.
"Whos going to help you now, Captain," He said.
"I found the Cavern and your people, I'm there right now in the waking world, And it's all going to be destroyed in less than 2 minutes unless you deactivate that transmitter," Chakotay said.
"If you are there you'll be killed too," He said. "I think you're lying,"
"Oh believe me, If I don't Contact my ship, you and I are both going to die in our sleep, Clara got torpedoes locked onto that Cavern and is ready to fire them unless you do it now," Chakotay said.

"Captain's log Stardate 51471.3 With the Neurogenic field neutralized, The Doctor has been successful in reviving the entire crew, unfortunately the experience has produced a troubling side effect for many of us, what the Doc tells me Acute insomnia, To be honest I can't blame anyone for that after what has happened to pass few days, End Log," I said.
I couldn't get asleep, So I went and played on my PS, Played some Zombies.
