Note: during this quarantine, I started watching greys anatomy and instantly fell in love with Calzona, so much so that I stopped watching it after season 14. It broke my heart, how they wrote their story. I read many fanfictions and LOVED THEM ALL. So, I thought of writing one. This is my first time writing anything like this. I hope you like it. CHAPTER 2:

It all started around 3 months ago when Sofia demanded that she wants to see Arizona. She missed her so much. Even though Arizona kept visiting her, but it was never enough. Every time they separate, both of them would cry their hearts out. It was always difficult to make Sofia understand that why can't her mamma live with her and mommy anymore. Even though she understands the concept of divorce, as many of her friend's parents were divorced but they all meet their other parent regularly and both of their parents, even though separated, lived in the same city. But it was different for Sofia; she would only see her mamma once in 2 months that too for 2 days. She missed Arizona so much afterwards that no amount of calls, gifts and ice cream could compensate that.

Callie thought about last time Arizona visited; Sofia was so happy that day, she wouldn't stop bouncing. She had told everyone in her class that her mamma was coming to visit her, and she will stay with her for the whole 4 days as it was a long weekend.

The day Arizona visited; it was a happy day. They went to pick up Arizona from the airport. Even though Arizona insisted that she will take the cab, Sofia was so hyped up to wait for 2 more hours before she would meet her. Honestly, even Callie couldn't wait to meet her. But of course, she could not tell this to anyone especially Arizona, so she pretended that it was all Sofia's idea to pick her up from the airport and Callie had no input in it whatsoever.

They went to the airport with a "welcome mom" balloon from Sofia. It was hard for Callie to hide her excitement. They waited for Arizona to come out and searched for her among many heads coming from the arrival gates. Finally, Callie's eyes landed on the blonde hair bouncing towards them.

"There is mamma," Callie said gleefully.

"Mommy pick me up I wanna see mamma" Sofia insisted.

Callie picked her up so that's Sofia could see her.

"Mamma! Mamma!" Sofia called.

Arizona blue eyes shot towards their direction upon hearing her daughters delighted voice and her lips formed the famous dimpled smile which went till her eyes.

Sofia wiggled out of Callie's arm and ran towards Arizona.

"Hey, baby girl. How are you? Ohh!... I missed you soooo much" Arizona said picking Sofia up and hugging her tightly.

"I missed you too mamma… a lot very much!" Sofia replied clinging to Arizona's neck.

Both Callie and Arizona laughed on little girl's weird attempt of expression. Arizona head shot-up on hearing the familiar laugh she Loved so much.

"Hey!" Arizona said meekly.

"Hi!" Replied Callie even more lightly. No matter how many times they meet, there was always an awkwardness between them. It was because of the past, or divorce or present nobody knew.

"Mommy, why are you not hugging Mamma?" Sofia asked excitedly.

Both mothers smiled on their daughter's antics and moved forward to hug each other. It lasted for a few seconds; both women trying to convey all unsaid feelings in that.

"Let's take mamma to your favourite restaurant… eh, little bug?" asked Callie ending the hug.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" exclaimed Sofia bouncing up and down.

"Wasn't this balloon supposed to be for me?" Arizona asked with a smirk.

Sofia face palmed herself "Yes! Sorry, mamma, I forgot to give you because I was so excited" Sofia replied with a toothy grin and handed the balloon to Arizona.

"Well! Thank you, little miss".

"Lets GOOO!" Sofia exclaimed; held both of her mothers' hand and started pulling them towards the exit.

During Dinner Sofia talked nonstop and told each and every story to Arizona. Callie and Arizona, on the other hand, didn't talk much, other than casual "How's work?", "How's everyone in Seattle?" talk.

After the Dinner and ice-cream, Callie dropped Sofia and Arizona at the hotel and went back to her apartment remarkably amused.

"Hey! You are back!" Said Penny and gave a chaste kiss to Callie. "How was dinner?" Penny added.

"It was great, Sofia was so happy and so was Arizona. It's great that Arizona came. Sofia was getting anxious, at least now, she will be happy and …Arizona was also sounding sad all the time we used to face-time earlier… so now they both can be happy… plus it's a long weekend so they have lots of time to spend together." Callie gabbled on in one breath.

"Yeah, that true" was penny's reply. "Anyways!, what's our plan this weekend… I mean Sofia is with her other mother and we have 4 days and the whole house to ourselves" asked penny with a wink.

"I like the sound of that." Replied Callie with a Smirk.

"Well we can have a date night and we can catch a movie … or… we can do absolutely nothing and stay at home all 4 days" Callie said suggestively.

"I like the Idea, Dr Torres, how about we start our the weekend of "doing nothing" right now?" penny added with a wink and walked into the room.

"I'll be there in a minute" Callie replied grinningly and picked her phone to call Arizona.

Ring! Ring! Arizona's phone rang from the dresser.

"Sofia! Please pick up the phone sweetie and tell me who is it." Shouted Arizona from the bathroom.

"It's Mommy" replied Sofia and picked up the call. "Hey, Mommy!".

"Hey, darling, what's going on? What are you guys up to?" Callie asked.

"Mommy, we are having the movie night, Mamma and I will watch inside out, and Coco and we have popcorn and we are going to have so much FUN" shouted Sofia excitedly.

"That's wonderful Mija! seems like you don't miss mommy at all, eh?" teased Callie.

"No Mommy, I miss you, I wish we could have a movie night together, cuddled in bed like earlier; mamma gives best cuddles" replied Sofia sadly.

Callie couldn't help but reminisce the old days when she Arizona and Sofia would cuddle up on their bed and watch all the Disney movies which Callie hated, but Arizona and Sofia knew each and every dialogues and would repeat the dialogues along with the movie, much to Callie's annoyance.

"Yes, Mija! She does" replied Callie meekly.

"Mommy, do you want to talk to mamma," asked Sofia as Arizona entered the room.

"Yeah"

"Mommy wants to talk to you" Sofia gave Arizona the phone and hopped up on the bed, ready for their movie night.

"Hey, Callie, what's up?" Said Arizona cheerfully.

An involuntary smile came on Callie's lips when she heard Arizona's cheerful voice.

"Hi! Nothing, just wanted to ask if you have settled comfortably in the hotel?" Callie replied

"Yeah, everything is fine … all set" Arizona said

"hmm… seems like you guys have quite a night planned" Callie said.

"Yeah! Sofia wanted to watch Inside Out because according to her she is like Joy, and Coco because her mommy is Latina and she is a little Latina." Arizona replied with amusement.

"Ha! Ha! that seems about right. Anyways, just wanted to check up. You guys enjoy the night. See you later" Callie replied.

"yup, Good night Callio…" Arizona was interrupted by Sofia shouting from the bed to come fast and start the movie. Callie noticed that her ex-wife almost used her full name which was gone unnoticed by Arizona.

Arizona dropped the phone and went to bed and started tickling Sofia.

Callie could hear them laughing and giggling over the phone as Arizona forgot to disconnect it. She couldn't help but feel sad and wish she was there with them… with her family.

After a few seconds Callie disconnected the call and went to the room. She brought her thoughts back to Penny and the night they just planned. When she entered the room, she saw penny fast asleep on their bed with Tv still on.

Callie sighed sadly and switched off the TV and went to sleep as well. As she dozed off, the faces and sound of Arizona and Sofia laughing invaded her dream.
