Chapter 7, Renovations
Kingdom of Ingrassia, Inner District
Sivert walked side by side with his fellow student Hinata. Sivert wore his same clothing, while Hinata wore a black t-shirt with a black jacket and black pants with black shoes. The two were currently walking over towards to an expensive tailor for Sivert.
He wanted to get some new clothes and Hinata was kind enough to come with him so he could get an opinion. Sivert did try to get her to go home but she insisted on coming.
At least he wasn't holding hands with her this time.. "Hey, what do you plan on doing for Christmas? It's coming up in a few weeks." Hinata broke the quietness by asking Sivert a question.
"Christmas? Isn't that some Holiday?" He asked, Hinata fixed a glance towards him. She couldn't help but smile a little. Why she was smiling is something Hinata herself doesn't know..
"Yes a Holiday from mine and Shizue's world, you celebrated it once. This world celebrates a similar tradition, you give gif-" Before Hinata could finish Sivert chuckled, interrupting her.
"Sorry, I don't do that stuff anymore." He placed his hands in his pockets and told her. Hinata was a little surprised, someone has nice as Sivert doesn't celebrate holidays?
"Why not?" Hinata turned her head slightly to the left to face him. Sivert continued to look straight, "I just don't.. I see no point. If anything I just plan on staying in my house the rest of the month and study magic."
Hinata studied his expression, he had a small smile on his face. His eyes weren't telling lies meaning he wasn't lying. "I see, well. Do you think you can at least take me to the festival? I would go myself but you know how I am.." Hinata asked with a small tint of red on her cheeks.
"Festival huh? I don't see why not." He turned his head and smiled at her, Hinata smiled back. He really was to nice for his own good.
"Were here." Sivert told her, the two stopped walking and stood in front of the store admiring it's texture. The gold around the outlines of the window is already a signal on how expensive it is.
For Sivert though, it was nothing. He walked inside with Hinata following, the interior was amazing!
Clean wood floors, with white walls around them. It even smelt good here! An old man with white hair and wearing a nice tuxedo walked up to the two. "Welcome, how may I help you?" the old man bowed and asked.
"I would like to buy a few new outfits. If you don't mind." The old man shook his head. "Of course not. You may buy as many as you want. Please let me help." Sivert gave the old man a smile.
"Thank you." The old man nodded, "I've dressed many young men in this building but never have I seen someone like you." Sivert raised an eyebrow out of confusion.
The old man started inspecting every angle of Sivert, making the Hunter a little uncomfortable. He placed a hand on his hair and moved it back a little, "Short.. Hm.. right this way." The old man grabbed Sivert's hand and led him to the back of the store.
"I'll wait right here." Hinata waved at Sivert before he disappeared. The young women looked around at the expensive clothing, "Wow.." she looked at a dress. Hinata wasn't one for dresses but this one looked good.
Two Hours passed and Hinata was starting to get bored. Finally she heard footsteps and looked at the back of the store, she spotted Sivert wearing an extremely nice outfit!
"Well?" Sivert spread his arms and asked her. Hinata walked up to him and examined her fellow student. He looked amazing..
He wore a white long sleeved tailored shirt with a black paisley vest and black dress pants with black dress shoes. Along with black fingerless gloves and a very expensive gold watch.
"?" Hinata looked down at his right leg. On his leg was a off leg holster with his gun in it. She wondered where he got such a holster.
His gun also went good with the outfit. "You look like a Mob boss." Hinata told him with a small smile on her face. Sivert looked down at his outfit, "But either then that, it looks good on you. Just try not to charm to many girls." She said teasingly.
"Me charm girls? Never." Sivert chuckled, the old man from earlier walked out from the back with many large bags in his hands. "Here you are Sir Light. These are the outfits you have picked. Along with my own personal recommendations."
Sivert walked over to the man and grabbed the bags from his hands. "Thank you. How much will it cost?" He asked the old man.
"About, Five Hundred Gold coins." The old man answered, Sivert sighed. This wasn't even a portion of his money gone. He placed the bags down on the ground and pulled out his pouch full of money.
He handed the Old man Five Stellar gold coins, "Ah.. impressive for someone like you. A Stellar gold coin is indeed rare among these days. Thank you, I hope to see you another time. Sir Light."
Sivert gave him a nod and picked up his bags full of outfits. He walked out the store with Hinata in tow, "I'm going to go home now. Thanks for coming." Hinata titled her head in slight confusion.
"Weren't you going to try and upgrade your armor.. or buy new armor?" she asked, secretly wanting to spend more time with him. Sivert shook his head, "I was, but I think I want to try it myself when I renovate the Estate. I'm going to have a black smith room installed if possible so I can work on my armor, myself."
Hinata's eyes widened in slight surprise, "I see, good luck then." She walked away, "See you." Sivert waved at her as she disappeared into the crowd.
"Better head back.." He mumbled.
3 Days Later, Light Estate
Sivert managed to move all his things out the academy, he didn't have much besides his weapons and armor along with many books for magic research. He a little surprised though when he didn't see Shizue around the academy as he moved. She's mostly hangs around the academy, teaching young students.
He's currently laying on the clean grass of his front yard, reading a book about engraving magic. It was in the middle of the afternoon, the day was nice and fresh.
The Hunter was wearing a black sleeveless sweater and black shorts with black shoes and socks. He never knew it felt good to just relax like this on a beautiful day, especially with no armor on or no weapons on you.
He read his book for about half an hour, until there was a loud knock on his gate. Sivert stood up and closed his book, he walked over to his gate which was across the field of grass around him.
He could see a group of people outside his home, with a few wagons behind them. The Hunter opened his gate, "Are you.. Light, Sivert?" a short man with a brown beard and brown coat asked him.
"I am.. who are you?" Sivert asked the man. "We are the renovators you ordered." The man held out a hand towards Sivert. "Oh really? You guys got here quick. Please, come in." Sivert shook the mans hand before opening the two gates all the way.
The wagons rode inside his Estate and parked on the courtyard, the many renovators following behind. "This is one big home. Good thing I brought a few extra hands with us." The man chuckled.
"So. While we get set up go ahead and tell me what you want." Sivert nodded, "Wait right here, I'll go get the blueprints." The Hunter ran off towards his home, leaving the dwarf to raise an eyebrow out of curiosity.
"I wonder what he has for us.." he caressed his long beard and wondered. A few minutes passed and Sivert ran back outside with many large rolled up pieces of paper under his arms.
"Here." The man pointed at a large wooden table placed on his courtyard. Sivert ran over and placed the papers on the table. "That's a lot of blueprints.." one of the renovators whispered.
Sivert unrolled one of the papers and showed them to the renovators. "Ahh this might be the best and longest job we ever had. Alrighty then, let's get to work boys!"
2 Weeks Later
Sivert would watch and study engraving magic as the dwarves worked hard, he was proud he hired them. They were doing a magnificent job! The dwarves did everything he wanted, they upgraded the rooms and made his new home feel much more comfortable. Now after 2 weeks they finally finished.
The Hunter was a little surprised, he expected them to take longer with the renovating but these dwarves were jewels. They worked 24 hours a day and rested only an hour.
All that was left was the payment.
"Oh wow.." Sivert whispered as he heard the price the dwarf gave him. "Two Thousand Gold Coins? Alright." He wished it costed more. Sivert really wanted to blow his money but he didn't know how.
He handed the Dwarves a few pouches of gold coins. They opened it and were amazed by how much there was! They of course made sure to count each and every coin to confirm it was the right amount.
"Hahaha! It was pleasure doing business with you, Sir Light. We'll be on our way now." The dwarf shook his hand repeatedly before signaling his fellow dwarves to move out.
The wagons rode out his estate and onto the road towards the inner Kingdom. Sivert closed the gates to his home and locked them. He walked over to his remodeled home and entered, closing the doors behind him.
The interior was much different now, there was furniture and accessories to his home. Such as paintings, and other art. Sivert had a large kitchen to himself along with a library with many new books he purchased. There was an extremely large gymnasium for him to practice magic and train.
"Woo!" Aria materialized in front of him and cheered. "We have our own home now!" she shouted in his face, Sivert smiled and nodded. "We do." His ghost floated around him in happiness causing him to chuckle.
"I can fly around freely without having to hide." This was a dream come true for Aria! "Heh.." Sivert's never seen her this happy before.
"Well!? What are you waiting for! Let's Practice magic!"
End!
Nothing much to say other than a little surprise in the next Chapter
