Episode 1: Mega Mission
Dream
A war… monsters, and Rangers fighting with everything they had for the control of the planet while the newest team of Rangers appears. The leader, the Red Ranger, is facing the leader of the monster but he is losing, badly.
-Red! –screamed Blue.
Red tries to stand but the leader of the monsters kicks him and throws him to the ground then, the monster raises his sword and Red knows it's over… his life is going to end here… at least, his friends will have a chance to save the planet with the other Ranger here… they can help them.
-This planet will be mine! -screamed the leader of the monsters.
-Let my friend go!
Red sees, surprised, the shadow of another Ranger appears in front of him and the monster being pushed away from him. He can hear fighting but it takes a minute for him to focus and see who is fighting who and how they are near the cliff…
-No!
Red moves to hear see Yellow, screaming and falling to her knees, and then, he sees another Ranger and the monster falling from the cliff. He runs his heart desperate to find his friend but there is nothing… no monster and no Ranger… they won this fight but…
Was it a win?
End Dream
-Hey, newbie! Wake up!
Troy Burrows opened his eyes feeling a hole in his heart. The dreams felt so real that it was as if he lost something important in that fight too but he didn´t know what, at least, not yet.
-You will be late if you don´t get out now! –Said the bus driver-… come on!
Troy focused, getting up, grabbing his bag, and leaving the bus. The feeling of loss was heavy in his should but Troy pushed through. He was fine. He just moved here and he didn´t have any friends to feel this way. He needed to focus on what he wanted to do here.
But he felt so sad…
Troy sighed; there was no time for this. He wanted a new life and new challenges and if he finds the source of his dreams, then perfect but if not, he would have to learn to live with them. Troy put on his best smile and walked into his new high school, looking at his calendar to locate his class, when he found it, he realized the class has already started so he knocked and hoped he wasn´t too late.
-Oh, look at that… come in –said the teacher-.
-Sorry, I´m new-said Troy-. Troy Burrows.
-Mister Burrows, I´m Professor Park-said the professor-. Please, sit down beside the guy with the soccer ball and don´t worry. I was about to start.
Troy nodded and walked as fast as he could to sit beside Jake that was looking at him, as if Jake were looking for something inside Troy but Troy decided to ignore him, sitting down, and getting his books. He could also feel the looks of two girls, a blonde and a brown-haired person, and the side eye of a boy in blue, in front of the boy with the soccer ball.
Troy sighed, trying to focus. This was like the last time or that´s what he thought when the boy with the soccer ball got his attention and smiled at him.
-I´m Jake Holling, welcome-said Jake.
-Troy…-said Troy, not knowing what else to say.
Jake nodded as if he knew what Troy was feeling and said nothing more, paying attention to class while Troy felt something inside his chest as if that boy with his few words and smile calm his nerves.
Troy smiled to himself. This time he will have a normal life.
-Megaforce-
In Space
Andros was doing his usual check-up on Space and taking some alone time away from his team, something that he loved to do. He sighed, is not that he didn´t love his team and especially his wife but Andros had always been solitary, and sometimes, just for a few hours, he needed the space, if only to remind himself how lucky he was for what he had now.
Besides, this was easy, a few checks here and there. Ashley was worried every time he went on these missions and he couldn´t blame her. He and Tommy Oliver called problems to their door but this was simple. Not like when they almost lost their Pink Ranger and ended up losing the Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger.
Andros closed his eyes. He couldn´t think of that now. Kendrix was fine, taking care of her and Leo´s five-year-old princess in a free universe…
Suddenly, a beep took Andros from his thoughts and he turned on the screen where he could see DECA locating an alien ship, ten times bigger than DECA. Andros acted quickly, going into shadow mode, thanks to Wes Collins's technology, and approached the strange ship as much as he could without being detected to see if he could interfere with their communications and find out what they were doing so close to Earth.
Communication
-Creepox, how is Earth? –asked a voice.
-Humans are not a problem, Admiral Malkor. We will have them begging for mercy in no time and then… we will be able to invade this planet-said another voice, Creepox.
End Communication
Andros tried to keep his calm demeanor and set DECA´s course back to Earth. He needed his team to know about this new threat and he also had to tell Tommy Oliver and Jason Scott since he had the feeling he knew who will be taking care of this new invasion.
-DECA, set course to Earth-said Andros.
-Course set. We will be arriving in 3.6 hours. -said DECA.
-Not fast enough…-said Andros to himself-. Call Tommy Oliver: tell him I think the time has come.
-Calling-said DECA.
Andros passed a hand through his hair and sighed. This wasn´t good but they had to remain strong. The Rangers that will face this new threat won´t be alone and they have a direct descendant with them… who better than Jacob to guide them through this new challenge?
-Megaforce-
It wasn´t unusual for Jake to get out of class before the class ended but he knew something was wrong when his dad and his godfather came to pick him up. It didn´t help that Professor Adam Park was serious when he let me know he was free to go and he had to leave now.
This was Ranger-related.
Looking at him go, Emma Goodall looked at her best friend while Gia Moran rolled her eyes. Since they started high school, Emma noticed Jake´s eyes always on Gia and his several tries to impress her, something that for Emma was cute while Gia didn´t seem interested.
-He´s gone again-said Emma-. Do you think he got in trouble?
-I don´t know why. He is the only nice guy on the soccer team-said, Gia, while she opens her book.
-Oh… so you think he is nice? –asked Emma.
-Don´t start, Emma.
Emma smiled. Now it wasn´t the moment but Emma had the feeling that Gia wasn´t completely ignoring Jake´s advances toward her. Who knows? Maybe Jake does have a chance, after all.
For her part, Gia focused on her book, trying her best not to think about Emma´s words.
Jake was nice? Of course, he was. He was the only guy interested in her that didn´t try to pressure her or look at her like a piece of meat but she just wasn´t ready to be with someone right now, much less with the star of the soccer team. She wanted to be known for her grades, not as his girlfriend.
She sighed; someday she will give him a chance, just not today.
-Megaforce-
When Jake arrived at the beach with his dad and his uncle he already knew this was a Ranger situation. His dad was tense like a rock and his godfather, even with all his experience was worried but the shock came when he looked to the side and saw his godmother waiting for him, at the beach.
-Aunt Kim?
-Jake!? You grew up so much! –said Kim, running to him.
Jake hugged his aunt and godmother and she returned his hug with the same enthusiasm. It has been a long time since they saw each other and even if they stay connected, it was always good to see her again.
When they broke the hug, Jake looked over his shoulder where his dad and his uncle Tommy were coming towards them, as soon as they got there, Kimberly let go of Jake and grabbed Tommy´s hand. Jake noticed, of course, but he said nothing.
He did make a mental note to ask later and looked at his dad.
-Why are we here? –asked Jake.
-It's time, son-said Jason.
Jake didn´t need more words to explain what his father meant. It was his turn to become a Ranger and he needed to stay calm even if inside he was jumping with happiness. He was trained for this and even if he knew he wouldn´t be Red because simply he wasn´t a leader, he wondered which color he would get.
He wanted a color like his uncle, Green, White or Black.
Tommy pointed towards the entrance of a cave close to the beach and Jake nodded, slowly, taking his new challenge carefully, Jake walked into the cave with his father and his uncle and aunt close to him. Once he got inside, he saw a small robot and he looked over his shoulder.
-Must be like our Alpha-said Jason-. You should touch him, Jake.
Jake nodded and put his hand gently on the robot´s head, bringing him to life. When the robot looked up and moved his head towards Jake…
-Ahhh! Gosei! Humans!
Jake jumped back and fell to the ground while the small robot ran from one side to the other, turning on the different panels in the process while he hit everything in his little path. Jake looked confused while Tommy was doing his best to stop laughing.
-You think is funny? –asked Kimberly.
-Well, I never saw you the first time you saw Alpha and Zordon, and maybe it's because I´ve seen too many newbies but yes, it's funny.
Kimberly rolled her eyes but she had a small smile while Jason helped his son to get up and then saw how the green eyes of the wall art in the cave started to shine with power. Tommy quickly stopped laughing as he and Kimberly walked towards Jake and Jason, seeing the tiki wall art coming to life.
-Calm down, Tenshou. They are allies-said the tiki wall art.
-But Gosei, the boy woke me up-said Tenshou, in a whisper.
-Yes and they can hear you loud and clear now-said Gosei-… Jacob Thomas Scott Kwan. I am Gosei.
-Hi? –said Jake, confused.
His years studying Ranger history should have taught him not to be surprised but to be honest; he never thought his guide would be a tiki wall art. He looked at his father and Jason nodded, taking a step back and putting a hand on his son´s shoulder.
-Gosei, right? Can you explain what is happening? –asked Jason-. Andros, the Red Space Ranger intercepted a communication about someone wanting to invade Earth.
-New enemies are coming, Red Ranger, that´s for sure-said Gosei-. Admiral Malkor and his Commanders, Vrak and Creepox decimated many systems before and they came here now, to do the same to ours so they can dominate existence.
-So is Jake´s time to become a Ranger? –asked Kimberly.
-He is but there is something he must do first-said Gosei-. Jake, take a step forward, please.
Jake did what he was told, timidly. He wasn´t sure of what was happening but he was nervous, not only that wall art was talking to him but he was close to becoming what he always dreamed to be, a Power Ranger, his family´s legacy and he wasn´t sure if he was ready… if he was good enough.
-I know your past and your legacy, Jacob. I have a past too, as Zordon student-said Gosei, surprising everybody-. That´s why I chose you first because I can see the potential in you as Zordon did for your parents, uncles, and aunts.
-You see potential? –asked Jake.
-Yes and because of that, I want you to help me decide who is worthy of being a Ranger in this time of need-said Gosei.
Jake could feel the surprise in his family, behind him, if he remembered correctly, no one helped mentors to recruit new Rangers before, especially not a new young Ranger. Jake gulped, nervous when Tenshou came to his side and activated something on the panels, making appear five devices with Gosei´s face in front of the panels and five different stacks of cards.
-These are the Megaforce morphers, all of them come with these cards that will give you everything you need to defeat this new threat but first, Jake, let me show you why I wanted you to be part of this team, as a son and family of many Rangers before you-said Gosei.
-Come here, Jake-said Tenshou, pointing to the panel.
Jake walked towards the panel, getting his device and cards, and then, looked at Gosei, smiling as he felt the power running through his fingers. He didn´t need to see a color… he could feel it and it made him smile.
-Jake, your abilities in close combat and your strength, make you the rightful Megaforce Black-said Gosei-. The Black Ranger represents strength and optimism, a determined heart with physical resistance that turns them into the key to long and exhausting battles.
Behind him, Jason breathed in relief, at least he wasn´t Red Ranger. Jake looked at his morpher and then back at Gosei, nodding.
-Thank you, Gosei. I will do my best to keep Earth safe as my family did before me-promised Jake.
-I know you will, Jake-said Gosei-. Now you know what I need in a Ranger, look deep inside you, the people you know now and the people you knew when they were Rangers, and find a team able to ensure victory. Earth depends on it.
-Yes, Gosei-said Jake.
Jake closed his eyes, remembering his family, their history, and everything they went through and his mind made up a series of names, the spirit he came to recognize as strong and full of energy that can keep Earth safe.
Once he finished, he opened his eyes and looked at Gosei.
-I know who has the qualities to save this planet-said, Jake.
-Very well-said Gosei-. We will bring them here but while we wait, how about I teach you how to morph?
-That… would be awesome…-said Jake.
Jake looked at his family as they approached him and hear what Gosei was explaining to them while Tenshou worked on the panels to bring the new Ranger to the cave and finally, create the team of new Rangers before those aliens attack Earth.
-Megaforce-
School
Noah was worried when he walked inside Ernie´s Brainfreeze looking for his best friend. Jake wasn´t answering his phone and Noah had the feeling that whatever happened was important.
It wasn´t a logical feeling to have, Noah knew that but his bond with Jake wasn´t logical either and they had been friends for a long time, besides, Noah was curious to know why Jake left in the middle of the class, again. Noah was looking around when he spotted Gia Moran studying there by herself and wanted to go and ask her if she has seen Jake but she was intimidating and Noah felt he could pass out if she looked up at him.
But this was Jake and Noah would do anything for Jake.
Jake couldn´t stay away from Gia since the day he meet her and even if Noah was sure Gia didn´t feel the same, she at least tried to avoid Jake so she doesn´t have to break his heart and Noah was thankful for that.
Matters of the heart. Who needed them?
Noah took a deep breath and walked towards Gia when, suddenly, he felt dizzy and looked down, at his hands, only to be surprised when he saw that they were disappearing. Noah looked up, scared, and saw Gia was going through the same; the only difference was the color of whatever was making them disappear.
Gia´s was yellow. Noah´s was blue.
What the hell?
Noah disappeared and the last thing he saw was blue particles dancing around him.
-Megaforce-
Rooftop
Troy was doing his training routine before going home. It helped to keep his mind clear and those dreams at bay or, at least, that´s what they did before because today, his dreams were quite persistent.
Troy growled and stopped his training, it wasn´t helping, and to be honest, he was tired. He walked to the door and grabbed his bottle of water, thinking about why today was different when suddenly; an image of a Red Ranger appeared in front of him, nodding. Troy raised his hand, wanting to stop him and ask him why he was there but the image disappeared and suddenly, Troy was surrounded by Red particles that took him away, leaving the bottle of water behind.
-Megaforce-
Park
Emma was running with her BMX through the forest, admiring nature and taking pictures when she heard something, it wasn´t far from her. Emma stopped her BMX and walked towards the sound, thinking someone needed help.
That´s when she saw the scariest and most ugly thing she has seen in her life.
She didn´t know what to do but she knew she had to let someone know about this. She would go to the Police and then make sure she and Gia stay at home until that thing was gone.
Emma nodded to herself, moving when something under her feet cracked, making the monster turns around, in her direction.
-Who is there!? –said the monster.
Emma looked at the monster in her hidden spot, scared, and grabbing her BMX for support when she felt something at the tip of her fingers and looked down, seeing her and her BMX disappear in pink particles.
By the time the monster was there, Emma was gone.
-Megaforce-
Command Center
Jake heard noises coming from the main room of the Command Center and looked down at Tenshou as the small robot made a noise of laugh, beside him, Kimberly and Tommy shared a look and Jason put a hand on his son´s shoulder.
-Time to shine, Black Ranger-said Jason.
Jake, already transformed with his Megaforce Black suit saw how his dad, aunt, and uncle retreat to the shadow, knowing the kids needed a few minutes to adapt once Jake tells them the news of their powers and reveals himself to them.
Jake, for his part, sighed and took a deep breath, seeing two boys and a girl walking deeper into the Command Center, stopping only when they noticed him and Tenshou.
-Who are you? –asked Troy, taking a step forward.
Jake´s smiled, hidden under his helmet. He knew he made the right choice with them and that movement from Troy just confirmed it. Gosei´s eyes shine in approval before he spoke, surprising the group of three.
-Troy, Noah, Gia, and Emma. Welcome to the Command Center-said Gosei-. My name is Gosei and I brought you here with the help of the Black Ranger to entrust you with an important mission.
-Wait… Rangers as in… Power Rangers? –asked Emma-. I remember a team like that in Mariner Bay but… you…
-I don´t get it. You decided we were good to be Rangers? –asked Noah.
-Yes, Noah. The Black Ranger saw in all of you, the abilities of past Rangers that could be useful for this challenge-said Gosei-. Mutants want to invade Earth and you are our only hope to stop them.
The group looked at each other confused and for the first time, Jake felt bad for them. If he wasn´t who he was, he too would be confused. He nodded to himself, making the choice, and looking at Gosei for approval.
-Maybe I should explain this to them-said the Black Ranger.
-Of course, Black Ranger. Go ahead-said Gosei.
Jake nodded and slowly, he took off his helmet, looking unsure at the people in front of him. The looks of surprise on everyone except Troy made Jake nervous but he decided to push back the fear and face the situation since they didn´t have the time to be scared now.
-Jake!? –said, Noah-. You are a Power Ranger!?
-Is this a joke? –asked Gia, annoyed.
-Is not. I promise-said Jake, walking towards them-. I have been a Power Ranger for a few minutes, waiting for you to come here but I know a lot of stories… I know all of the previous Rangers.
He looked down, feeling nervous when he felt his dad´s hand on his back. His uncle and his aunt were on each side of him, when Jake looked up, he could see Noah´s head was about to explode trying to find the logic in all this.
-Mr. Holling!? –asked Noah.
-Hi, Noah. -said Jason, smiling at the boy-. Is Scott, by the way. Sorry, I couldn´t tell you before, I´m Jason Lee Scott, the original Red Ranger.
Tenshou did his research, putting a few images on the panels for the young people to see Jason transforming into the Red Ranger and the day he became Power Ranger. Not far from him, Jake´s aunt smiled walking towards the Pink panel.
-I´m Kimberly Ann Heart, original Pink Ranger-said Kimberly.
Like Jason, the teenagers saw images of Kimberly morphing, fighting, and becoming a Ranger, and finally, Tommy took a step towards them, standing right beside Jake while he looked at his godson. Jake was trying to hold his smile.
-And you are…? –asked Emma.
-Rainbow Ranger. -said, Jason-. Sometimes we call him Tommy too.
Seeing the kids confused, Tommy punched his friend´s shoulder lightly and walked towards Jake´s panel where the teenagers could see Tommy receiving the power as Green, White, Red, and Black Ranger.
The teenagers, impressed, looked at the man in front of them and then at Jake.
-They are your family? –asked Troy.
-Part of it. All the Rangers are family. I know them since I was a baby-said Jake, looking at Noah-. Sorry, I couldn´t tell you before, there is this thing about keeping the identities secret, especially to the Rangers still active.
-I understand-said Noah, still impressed.
Jake nodded, relieved, and then he saw Gosei come back to life.
-Jake, I think it's time to give your teammates their powers and explain to them why you thought they have the qualities these powers require to defend Earth, like the ones before them.
-You are right-said Jake, grabbing the morpher close to the Pink panel and walking towards Emma-. Emma, you will be the Pink Ranger because you represent all they stand for… kindness, the desire to be there for others and keep peace on Earth. You know hold the power of the Phoenix, please, help me show these aliens why our world is so beautiful.
Emma smiled, nodding as she received her morpher and her cards. She looked up at Jake and saw nothing but proud eyes looking back at her. Emma blushed while Jake moved to grab another morpher, this time, giving it to Noah.
-Is it a wonder why I wanted you to have the powers of the Blue Ranger? –asked Jake with a smile-. Blue is the logic, the order of the team, and the bran that Rangers need even when everything is going down. You, Noah, are the person I trust with my life but like others before you, you need to see and show others you can be more than your brain and that´s why, the power of the shark will be by your side, to show you a new path where your brain and your bravery can coexists.
Noah nodded, grabbing his morpher and the cards but before Jake could leave towards the next panel, Noah grabbed his best friend, hugging him tightly and surprising Jake for a second before he smiled and returned the hug.
-That… that is the Jake I know-said Noah.
Jake nodded and finally moved to the next panel, collecting the morpher and the card, and now, he walked towards Gia, looking at her until he was in front of her. The tension was high between them and Kim and Tommy shared a look, while Jason raised an eyebrow and Emma looked at them, very interested.
-Gia… the power I thought it was better for you is also the most important for me-said Jake and there was a hit of sadness in his voice that made the teenagers, especially Gia, wonder what he meant he said those words but Jake quickly smiled, dismissing the pain he has feeling in his heart-. A Yellow Ranger is a source of strength and understanding. While Blue is the brain and Pink the heart, Yellow is the psychological support, like the foundations of a home, Yellow holds his or her team, sometimes with facts, something with fun but always there, as a reminder to never give up. As for your animal… well, not everything has to be rational, right?
Gia chuckled and even Emma laughed as Jake continued.
-That´s why the tiger will be with you. The fury and need to protect the ones you love will be the fuel to win your battles because like a tiger, you will always put your people before you, every single time-said Jake.
He gave Gia one last look before he turned to retrieve the last morpher and cards but while he did that, Gia´s eyes were fixed on him, wondering why she saw this Jake before.
Jake chuckled as he turned towards Troy and gave him the last morpher and cards, at this point it was evident was color was missing and Troy knew which one was but he was confused as to why he had this color when Jake was more experienced.
-Why are you giving me Red? –asked Troy.
-Because you are a natural leader, Troy. I saw it the first time I saw you walk into class and even now when everyone was freaking out and you were there, analyzing the situation, balancing the dangers, and even looking for, at least, three ways of getting out of here.
-You saw that?
-I was trained to see that, you weren´t but you did it and you wonder why I gave you Red? –asked Jake-. Red Rangers are known for their leadership on the battlefield. They must keep their head on the game at all times and sometimes, make the hard choice for the greater good.
-I´m not…
-You are, Troy-said Jake-. Let me ask you something if you have to choose between me or Earth. What would you do?
-I would save both, you, and Earth-said Troy, without thinking.
Jake smiled looking over his shoulder, to his father, Jason´s approval was more than enough and Tommy smiled with an arm around Kimberly. That thing Jake pulled was a Conner McKnight trick and Tommy was proud of Jake for using it. Jake looked back at Troy and put a hand on his shoulder.
-That´s the answer, Troy. -said, Jake-. Power Rangers don´t leave friends and sometimes even foes, behind. We do our best. We win and sometimes we lose but we stay together because people like you, the Red Rangers, keep us together, that´s why you have the Dragon with you, to help you to show your passion and hold the fate of Earth on your shoulders.
Troy looked at Jake and saw nothing but conviction in his abilities, making Troy feel confident about what he could do. He looked down at his morpher and then, at his teammates, feeling the same conviction Jake showed to them.
Suddenly, a beep made them come back to reality when Tenshou put the images on Troy´s panel and they saw mutants attacking the civilians, quickly, Jake took his place, between Troy and Emma and looked at the images before Tommy took a step forward.
-It´s time, Rangers.-said, Tommy.
Troy nodded. He looked at one side and then at the other and finally to the front while everybody grabbed their morphers and their cards, ready to fight for Earth.
-Go! Go! Megaforce!
A flash of light engulfed the cave as they transformed and disappeared towards the battlefield, leaving the original Rangers there, in silence, looking at the images when Gosei´s eyes came to life again.
-You couldn´t stop yourself, could you?
-Habits die hard-said Tommy, smiling.
-Megaforce-
The Megaforce Rangers arrived at the battlefield, seeing loogies running after humans and Red threw a look at Black, who nodded before Red ran after them. Red jumped, standing between a group of loogies and the humans, and kicked one of the loogies, throwing him towards his group.
-This power is incredible! –said Red, raising his fists.
-Time to show what we are made of-said Yellow, looking at Black-. Let´s give them a taste!
For a second, Black stood there, mesmerized by Yellow until he saw her get her card with her weapon and followed her when he noticed she was waiting for him. Together, they called for their weapons, the Tiger claw, and the Snake ax. Black and Yellow looked at their weapons and then at each other before running after the loogies.
Not far from them, Pink, Blue, and Red called for their weapons too, using their cards and they managed to defeat the loogies pretty quickly. Red nodded, turning to the rest of the group.
-Great job, guys-said Red.
-Yeah, you look natural-said Black.
-Is this power… it feels as if it was part of us-said Pink-. Do I make sense?
-You do because I feel the same-said Yellow-. The news always said how easy if for the Rangers but I never really paid attention until now.
-The materials of the suits and weapons are so awesome-said Blue, looking at Black-. I can´t believe you grow up with all this.
Black nodded, putting his hand on Blue´s shoulder. He had a hard time believing he has a direct connection with this world but he couldn´t be prouder to be part of the spandex family.
And now, it was his turn, no, their turn, to follow with tradition.
-Megaforce-
In Space
-Who are those humans? –asked Admiral Malkor.
-I don´t know but I am surprised, Admiral. I thought Creepox said he had everything under control. -said Vrak, crossing his arms.
-I know… I will have to talk to him when he gets back. -said the Admiral-. Scaraba! Get ready! I need you to do something for me!
-Yes, sir!
Scaraba was sent by the Admiral to Earth and while the light of the monster arrived on the planet, the Admiral nodded, it didn´t matter who those idiots were, Scaraba will take care of them and then, they will be free to conquer the planet.
-Megaforce-
The team reunited when they finally took care of the loogies and they were talking when a flash of light surprised them and they saw a monster with more loogies. Black, knowing the reason why the monster was here, put a hand on Red´s shoulder to catch his attention.
-Whoever wants to invade Earth saw us and sent one of his or her monsters-said Black-. He is stronger than the loogies so be careful, the spandex will protect us from some hits but if we take too much damage we will demorph.
-Understood-said Red-. Ready?
-Ready! –said the Rangers.
-You won´t stand a chance! Give up now and I will end your lives quickly! –said Scaraba.
-We will defend our planet from you and your people! –screamed Red, with his team surrounding him- We are the Power Rangers, Megaforce!
-You are going to be Mega dead! –screamed the monster-. Loogies! Finish them!
Red was about to run towards the monster, as he felt it was his responsibility as the leader to take him on when Gosei spoke in their heads, telling them to call for their laser guns to win this battle. Red, nodding, got his card, followed by his team, and one by one, the laser appeared, giving them the advantage again.
The Ranger used the guns to defeat the loogies in a matter of minutes while Scaraba looked at his army disappear until it was only him and the Ranger standing.
-How did that happen!? –screamed the monster.
-This is the power of Earth-said Red-. You will never take our planet!
-Let´s finish this! –said the Rangers.
-Dragon Sword! –screamed Red.
Following his command, the rest of the Rangers called for their weapons, and while Red ran, he looked towards Pink, who knew what he wanted to do and ran towards the rooftop of a building, trusting the phoenix while she jumped and flew, grabbing Red and flying with him while the monster attacked them using lasers from his eyes.
The smoke made Pink and Red disappear but a moment later, they appeared again, this time, Pink attacked first with her weapon and Red hit the monster with his sword, making the monster fall to his knees while their teammates appeared behind them.
-I want to try too! –said Yellow.
Yellow ran before Black and Blue could stop her and throw herself to the ground while she used her claws as a shield to protect herself from the monster's lasers attack. She could feel Black right behind her, running towards her. He was fast and used his ax to hit the monster, stopping the lasers so Yellow could hit the monster with her claws.
Finally, Blue jumped with his weapon, deciding to join the fight, and fired his lasers at the monster, throwing him to the ground while the monster cried in pain.
-Finish it by combining your weapons, Rangers-said Gosei in their head.
-Let´s do it! –said Red- Weapons combine!
The Rangers combined their weapons, using their cards to apply more strength in their attack. Red was aiming the weapon, on each side of him, Pink and Blue, and right in front of them, Black and Yellow. That´s when Red felt it, the power… their power synchronized.
-Weapons combine! –screamed Red-. Full force!
A powerful laser hit the monster, destroying him while the Rangers turned around, giving their back to the monster and with Red holding the combined weapon. Red looked down at the weapon and realized that Black was right. They were stronger together and he was in charge to keep them that way.
That was his job as the leader.
-Let´s go back to the Command Center-said Black, taking Red out of his thoughts-. I´m sure Gosei will want to see us.
The Rangers nodded and Red returned the weapons to normal then, they ran towards the Command Center, knowing that from now on, Earth was their priority and it was their job to protect this from this new threat.

Jake walked into the Command Center and quickly was hugged by his dad. Jason was always worried, of course, but at the same time, he looked so proud that Jake was taken aback by this display of love and a little embarrassed when their friends looked at them, smiling while they received hugs and praise from Tommy and Kim.
-Your job has been amazing, Rangers-said Gosei-. But you still have a choice to make.
The teenagers looked at Gosei first and then at Jake and the young Black Ranger took a step forward, looking at his team seriously while deep down he hoped for the right outcome.
-You still have to decide if you want this life-said, Jake-. For me there is no choice, this is my legacy and I have been trained since I was a baby to be a Ranger. You all have shown today why Gosei and I wanted you to take the mantle on your respective colors but the ultimate choice is yours and whatever it is, we will accept it.
-So we can decide to walk away while you fight? –asked Emma.
-This is my world, Emma but it doesn´t have to be yours if you don´t want to. No one will think less of you if you decide to have a normal life-said, Jake, giving her a small smile-. But I have to admit that finding someone able to fly with that elegance with holding Troy and her weapon is going to be impossible.
Emma smiled, looking down. Jake was focused on her but from the corner of his eye he could see Gia walking towards him, with her morpher and for a moment, he thought she was giving it back to him. He couldn´t blame her. Life was hard enough without having to fight aliens half of the time.
But Gia stood in front of him, looking at her morpher and then at him with a smile.
-I think I can live up to the challenge, besides, I have the feeling you need me around so you don´t get your ass kicked, partner-said Gia, smiling at him.
-I think I will keep it too-said Noah, looking at the team-. I can help with the upgrades and with Tenshou´s help, I can understand more about the technology used in all this equipment.
-You sound like someone I know-said Kim, behind the Megaforce Rangers.
-Billy will be so happy for this-said Tommy.
-Man… I feel so old right now-said, Jason, looking at his friend-. Don´t you feel like that too?
Tommy and Kim looked at him, Jason had the feeling they shared the sentiment but at the same time, he was so proud of this new generation. They had something… like the old spirit, they used to have when they reunited with Zordon and Alpha.
-Well, I guess I can take it too but you need to do something with the helmet, my hair gets stuck-said Emma, smiling-. I´m in… Earth is so precious to let those aliens take it away from us.
-We won´t let you or Gosei down, Jake-promised Troy, smiling at the Black Ranger-. You have a team ready to defend Earth.
Jake nodded and put his hand on the center then, the other Rangers put their hands over his and Jake gestured to his family to share the moment with them as the seal was formed and a new team was born under Gosei´s bright green eyes and Tenshou´s happy dance.
