Arizona POV
What a fulfilled day it was, with all the shopping, movies, pizza and ice cream. I haven't seen Sofia so happy in a long time. Callie walked us to the hotel before heading back to home, I could see she was happy with the day we had, and she didn't want it to end as well.
Me and Sofia went back to the room. After our night routine of brush and bath, Sofia fell into sleep, the moment her head hit the pillow. My Little Goose is so tired, but she has a contented smile on her face. I couldn't help but feel a little sting of sadness, knowing that I can't make her this happy all the time. But I will make sure that she stays this ecstatic all the time during these 4 days. Oh! I miss my baby so much, there is nothing I wouldn't do for her.
After dousing myself in the site of my sleeping daughter for a few moments, I poured a glass of white for myself and went to sit on the love chair. I liked the view of the city, with all the lights and high-rise buildings; there is something comforting about them. With a sip of my wine, I let my thought flow freely.
I started thinking about these two days I spent in New York. It has been the happiest I felt in a very long time. Of course, Sofia is the reason for that, but also… Calliope. I was so excited yet nervous when I landed at the airport. Callie had said that they will come to pick me up even though, I told them that I am more than okay to take a cab, but she said Sofia insisted. To tell the truth, I was hoping they would come to pick me up, it gives us some time to be together and be like a family for once; So Yeah, I was happy they came.
I has been 8 years since I have met Callie, but damn! that women can give me butterflies every time I see her. Even today, when she saw standing at the airport with Sofia in her arm; it was a beautiful sight. I know I can't be thinking like this but that's what I felt.
Smiling to myself, I thought about today. It was a GREAT day, we had so much fun. Sofia was going crazy with all the attention and love she was getting all together. Poor thing, she never gets to spend her time with both of her mothers together anymore, but today she was over the moon. She loved putting up a fashion show with the dresses she tried, she can be such a Diva sometimes. Callie was happy too; I could see the smile on her face which was reaching her eyes. It was lost for a very long time, especially after the custody battle. She never smiled like this after that disaster.
Honestly, I was really hurt when I came to know that Callie has deleted our wedding pics, felt like a stab in my heart. I don't know why it affected me like that? it shouldn't.
With this thought, Callie's voice rang in my head "I can never delete them, no matter what has happened between us. That time of our life is the most beautiful part of my life… I can never get rid of it" and before I realize I was smiling like an idiot.
I hate how she still has her hold on me, it's really pathetic; it's just there. She had moved on a long time ago. she fell in love with another woman, she is living with her under one roof, sharing a life with her, making her laugh, having a dance party with her and…. Sleeping with her. She is not my wife anymore and I am nothing to her, nothing but the mother of her child.
Anyways, why do I care? It's not like I am waiting for her to come back… nope, definitely not. I am moving on as well, Yes, I am…. Although! … I have been on one date since the divorce and …. She Ghosted me. But that's not on me. It's her fault, she lost ME. I am Arizona freaking Robbins, I am Amazing … especially in bed… I sure rocked her world. She is at loss here, not me. So yes, I am fine with Callie moving on and I am great. I. Am. Great.
My thoughts were running wild tonight I couldn't sleep at all and that's bad because I am so very tired and my residual limb in killing me today. I forced myself to move to the bed and closed my eyes, hoping to fall asleep.

General POV
Ring! Ring!
Arizona's phone rang from the table. She groaned in her sleep hoping that whoever is calling will stop soon. When the phone didn't stop ringing, she reluctantly picked up the phone. It was April on the line
"Hey, What's up?" Arizona Said.
"Hi, how are you and Sofia? having fun in New York?" April Replied form the other side.
"Yeah it is awesome, yesterday we went shopping; Callie, Sofia and I bought the matching outfits" Arizona explained.
"Wait… what? Callie? She was with you? and you bought a matching outfit? What's going on? April exclaimed with a shock.
"Calm Down, Nancy! It's not what you think. She was alone at home on the weekend, so I invited her to join us that's it" Arizona clarified.
"And the Matching outfits?" April enquired
"We found a dress, we loved it… Callie thought it's would be a great idea if she and Sofia would have a matching outfit… I thought I should get that too for the time Sofia and I are together…"
"Oh…kay" is all April could say. "Anyways I called to tell you that, the 35-week pregnant trauma patient, with the fetal subdural hematoma, you treated; just delivered a healthy 7-pound boy and they decided to name him Robin in the honor of the doctor who saved him." April continued.
"Wow! That's great, please convey my wishes to the parents and tell them that I am Honoured" Arizona replied humbly.
"Okay, I gotta run, see you on Wednesday" April concluded.
"See ya April, bye" Said Arizona and disconnected the call.
After dropping the phone back to the table, Arizona realized that it's pointless to try and go back to sleep. So, she decided to take a long bath in the tub before Sofia wakes up.
Arizona pampered herself with the bath gel and salts and classical music. Sitting in the tub her mind wandered back to the thoughts she was having last night. Callie's smile and demeanours came flashing back in front of her eyes. Arizona couldn't help but think, what would have been their life if they would have never gotten a divorce. They would still be living in Seattle, with Sofia and maybe another baby. "I really wanted a boy this time," Arizona thought. "With my fetal surgery and Callie's robotic limbs, we would have been a power couple". Just when a smile started appeared on Arizona's face, the realization hit her. "What the hell am I thinking and why I am thinking that? That's not gonna happen… ever… Noone in the history of my life ever hurt me like Callie. She walked away from our marriage, from our life. She did that because fixing us was killing her. She felt suffocated in the relationship. She walked away from me and never looked back. After all this, I can never trust her again. This... us… can never happen again...EVER" with this Arizona brought her thoughts to a halt.
Knock! Knock!
"Mamma, I need to pee, please come out" Sofia shouted from the other side of the door.
Arizona gave a long sigh "Coming baby!"

Next day Arizona and Sofia went to a 'Rose centre of earth and space', as Sofia insisted. From dressing like space princess when she was 4 for Halloween, to dressing as an astronaut last year, Sofia was widely interested in anything related to space.
After having dinner at a burger joint, they came back to the hotel for yet another movie night. In the evening, Sofia and Callie were talking on the phone and from their conversation, Arizona came to know that there was a fire in the building near to the hospital, so all the doctors were called in including Penny and Callie.
"Mamma… Mommy wants to talk to you" Sofia gave the phone to Arizona
"Hi! What's up?" Arizona asked.
"umm... I was wondering… that would you like to have dinner with us at my place… day after tomorrow? Anyways you are gonna come to drop Sofia, and your flight is at midnight, so you can go directly for here… in fact, I will drop you" Callie said
Arizona didn't say anything for a few seconds
"Hello, Arizona, you there?" Callie enquired
Coming back from her oblivious Arizona said "Eh? Yeah, am here…. Umm… Callie ... I don't know…"
"Come on! Arizona, Next month Sofia will be in Seattle than you won't have a reason to come here… so…I… we won't see each other for I don't know how long?" Callie insisted "it's just a dinner… Please"
"…um… Ok... I guess" Arizona said with hesitation.
"Yes! See you on Tuesday then, I'll make your favourite chicken piccata" Callie said excitedly.
"Ooooo! I am gonna stop eating from today itself" Arizona joked around
Callie laughed said "I'll make sure to make a whole chicken just for you then"
"Ha Ha, Que Funny!" Arizona sarcastically
"See you on Tuesday then" Callie said with a chuckle.
They both disconnected the phone sniggering on their conversation.
"Dinner at Callie's?! that's should be fun" Arizona thought

On her last day in New York, Arizona arrived at Callie's doorstep at 7:30 in the evening. She took a deep breath before pressing the doorbell.
"Coming!" Came Callie's Voice.
"Mommy!" exclaimed Sofia and launched herself at Callie's arm as she opened the door.
"Hey, Little goose" Callie grinned while hugging her daughter tightly. "Hey! Thanks for coming…Come on in" she said in Arizona's Direction.
Callie had a 3-bedroom duplex apartment, facing central park. The living room had a window wall and dinning had an open kitchen with a balcony. Callie's and Sofia's room was on the floor above and one room which was Callie's office was on the lower floor. All in all, it was a beautiful apartment. "You still live in a Batcave huh?" Arizona had teased Callie for the decoration when she first came to New York almost a year back. Nothing has changed much since then, except the love chair at the corner, which wasn't there last time Arizona visited.
"Where is Penny?" Arizona enquired as she walked inside the living room. Sofia went to her room to put her bag.
"She was called in for emergency" Callie replied, handing over the glass of white wine to Arizona as she poured red for herself
"Oh! Okay" Arizona said
"Come let's sit on the balcony, it's a lovely weather tonight," Callie said
Nobody spoke for solid 5 minutes, as they sat on the patio furniture on the balcony sipping their wine and enjoying the view.
Callie attempted to start the conversation "So, How's Dr Herman?"
"She is doing really great at the blind institute, Keeps sending me a text now and then" Arizona replied with a gentle smile.
They chatted for a while about their friends and work till Sofia came from her room stating that she is hungry.
During dinner, Sofia narrated their visit to museum excitedly. "and then, I saw the cosmic pathway and then we went to a big bang theatre and we also saw Hayden planetarium"
"Sofia Honey, no talking while eating," Arizona said firmly but smiled a little at Callie.
"I don't know from where she got this much energy, God! that girl can talk nonstop" Arizona said with a surprise when Sofia went to put dishes in the sink.
"Seriously? YOU don't know from where she got that perkiness?" Callie said with a smirk.
Arizona gasped dramatically "I am not like that"
"Oh, you are worse," Callie said playfully.
Arizona huffed, sticking her tongue out at Callie and making Callie laugh even louder.
Just then the front door opened. "hey babe, I am home" Penny said
Penny halted her steps as she saw Arizona "Oh… Ari… Dr Robbins"
"Dr Blake…" Arizona replied bluntly.
"Penny! What are you doing home? …umm... Hi!" Callie said hesitantly.
"My surgery got cancelled… can I… can I talk to you for a minute" penny replied and took Callie in their Office, As Arizona shifted awkwardly on her feet.
"what's going on?" Callie asked
"I should ask that… what's going on?" Penny raised her eyebrows in question.
"Nothing, she is going back to Seattle tonight, so I invited her over for the dinner" Callie said casually.
"And you didn't think to talk to me about this?"
"I didn't think it's a big deal" Callie said little frustrated
"You think that inviting your EX-WIFE over for dinner and not informing me is FINE?" Penny questioned in a harsher tone.
"Oh! Come on… can we talk about this later? I don't want to fight now… ok?" Callie replied is hushed voice.
"Fine"
Callie and Penny came out of the office looking annoyed, but Arizona knew better than to ask them anything. After making a few small talks and having a coffee. It was almost 10 and time for Arizona to bid adieu.
