Chapter 15, A Series of Power Growth

Continent of Eternal Ice

Sivert stood in the middle of the snowy land. It reminded him of Europa. Standing in front of the Hunter was the Lord of Darkness himself. Guy Crimson. The Red Haired Demon Lord crossed his arms.

"You want your body to be like mine right?" Guy asked which Sivert answered with a small nod. Having such a hard body could prove useful.

"Then strip." The area became silent..

Only the harsh winds from the snow storm could be heard. "Why?" Sivert managed to shove those words out his mouth.

He didn't trust Guy fully, the Demon Lord already tried to make sexual advances on him a few days ago. Which is why Sivert didn't want to strip.

"Just your shirt, you need to be shirtless and turn off your barriers along with your resistances." Guy said, with a serious expression. The Hunter finally agreed and took off his sweater, tossing it at Guy who caught it.

"Were at the borders of my domain, your task is to walk towards my palace and survive. No matter what! Keep your defenses and resistances off!" Guy gave Sivert a piercing glare before vanishing.

"Tch.." immediately after turning off his resistances, Sivert felt cold. Really cold! He hugged himself while walking forward.

The pain was unbearable but he continued onward..

The Hunter only wore black pants and boots. He had no protection from the harsh weather.

"Seriously.. who'd want to live in a place like this." Sivert whispered, his boots made it easy to walk through the snow at least..

"Aria.. you're here right?" He asked, there was no response...

Meanwhile Aria was being held by Misery at the Ice palace, "Let me go!" she shouted at the Demon while trying to get out of her grip.

"I am sorry Lady Aria. I've been ordered to keep you away from the Hero Sivert until he reaches the palace." Misery told the Ghost.

"I don't ca-" Aria stopped herself. "Lady?" she stopped trying to break free from Misery's hands. "Oh I could get used to that.." she whispered in excitement.

The Hunter was lucky he didn't need to breath anymore since he was a Saint. Or else he'd suffocate from this, the powerful razor sharp Ice that blew with the super cold wind would kill him.

Hell his body was receiving many cuts. He had no barrier on, no resistances on. Sivert was defenseless against this Ice or any type of harm, but he continued onward.

He could hear his two spirits talking with each other about his past decisions. Sivert quickly shut them up.

He needed to focus.

The journey was long, Sivert walked through harsh winter storms created by Velzard's aura.

It's been 2 hours..

At least Guy gave him directions which he made sure to remember.

Sivert's body was slowly getting colder and colder. It was also getting harder. He didn't know how big this continent was or how far he was from the palace but he'll keep walking.

No matter what!

Another hour has went by and Sivert has seen no sign of the palace. This was truly hell..

Anybody would've given up but not Sivert.

His body was getting harder each minute. He began to slowly understand why Guy gave him this test.

"!" Sivert rolled out the way, avoiding a powerful fire spell shot from the sky. He looked up and increased his vision.

There was a man in the air with red hair and red horns, he was wearing a black suit. Sivert recognized the man, he was one of the Arch Demons that served under Guy.

"Damnit." Sivert glared angrily at the Demon. It floated down in front of Sivert. "As if the weather wasn't enough." He quietly cursed Guy for this.

The Arch Demon prepared another spell, Sivert used this chance and held out his right hand.

As he was about to try and summon a golden gun the solar flames were immediately blown away from the harsh coldness. The hunter sighed in frustration. He quickly avoided another powerful spell along with another following it. The Arch Demon kept firing multiple different spells, ranging from fire to nuclear destroying the land.

Sivert had no access to his light! He tried summoning an Arc staff or a Void bow but they were blown away from the powerful winds before they could even form. It had to be Velzard's influence..

Her winter storms were not normal..

So he decided to use something that'd give him the advantage in this weather. The Hunter jumped up in the air.

His entire body was enveloped with Ice. Two Stasis Kamas appeared in his hands and he threw them both at the Arch Demon. They soared through the air faster then the Demon could keep up with them.

The Demon did not expect this, nor did it know about this. His master only told him about his power known as the 'light'.

The Arch Demon raised up it's multilayered barriers but they proved useless against this powerful force of Darkness.

The Demon's body slowly began to freeze as it was blinded and immobilized. Sivert ran over to the Demon and threw a hard punch at its frozen body.

It's Frozen body shattered into thousands of pieces and blew away with the wind.

Sivert sighed and continued his journey to the palace. The snow storm increased as he did.

His entire body was becoming hard, it was a surprise his hair was still soft. The Hunter was slowly getting used to this weather.

It was as if his body was getting accustomed to it. To the point where he didn't even need a natural resistance barrier.

It's been 5 hours and Sivert still hasn't seen the palace in sight. He stopped hugging himself as he got used to this cold weather.

He was also attacked a few more times by Greater Demons this time but he easily killed them by summoning his glaive.

The Hunter was starting to wonder if he was going the right way, but he wasn't worried about himself right now.

He was worried about Aria, hoping she's safe.

Meanwhile once again.

"Oh so you're the one who's been leaving the meals on our front door." Aria said in surprise as she floated in front of Misery.

The Demon Peer only nodded with a small smile on his face "Ah.. so you fell for his charms?" Misery shook her head, denying that but Aria didn't believe that.

The two were currently in Misery's room. Aria has been telling the Primordial all about Sivert and his life, mostly about what he likes and stuff so the Demon peer could have a better chance at getting to learn more from him.

The Hunter has been walking for half a day now. Finally he spotted the large Ice palace in the distance.

He smiled and continued onward.

Suddenly a familiar person crashed landed in front of Sivert. Her short blue hair was easily recognizable.

It was the Demon Peer Rain.

"Hahahaha! I've been waiting for the chance to get revenge for last time! I will make you regret for making me look bad in front of my master!" She stood up and pointed at Sivert.

In truth..

Rain didn't want to fight him again! She had no counter against his otherworld abilities.

Even with him having no defenses up he was still a pain to face. "When we last fought you were but a new Saint.. now you're a full-fledged Saint.." Rain whispered while hiding her fear.

He was on Par with a True Demon Lord! Possibly stronger!

She was only doing this because Guy ordered her to.. the Demon peer only hoped she wouldn't get killed like last time.

"Damnit.." Sivert cursed her. He held out his right hand and summoned his Glaive.

Once Rain spotted the weapon she took one big gulp.

An Hour Later

Sivert stood at the front of the palace doors, two large ice doors opened. "You did it, congratulations. Just let me do a few kinks to make it complete." He nodded and let Guy perform a spell. After he did the spell Sivert felt unstoppable! He felt like he could take on a million Demon Lord's!

"Now, how do you like your new body?" Guy asked with a satisfied smile. The Hunter gave him a glare. "It's good thank you. Now where's Aria?" he asked the demon Lord.

Guy turned around and pointed at Misery walking towards them. Floating around her was Aria.

"Oh! Sivert!" the ghost spotted her guardian and flew towards him. Sivert noticed her excitement..

"You can't believe all the things you and Misery have in common! Oh guess what! She called me 'Lady Aria!'"

Sivert sighed.. "Seems you had fun." He walked past her and towards Misery. The Demon Peer handed him his sweater.

Aria quickly realized what she's done..

She forgot about her guardian! "Oh no.." Aria whispered in disbelief. How could she?! She should've been there for him! Support him like she always has.

"Sivert, I'm so sorry!" she flew over to him and apologized. The Hunter chuckled and put on his sweater.

"It's nothing." He gave her a small smile before thanking Misery and walking away with Guy.

Aria felt horrible..

A Month Later

The battle was intense! Aria watched from a distance as Misery protected her with a barrier. Her guardian was facing off against Guy in the air. Their battle shook the land around them.

His glaive clashed with the Demon Lord's sword. "You know, you should try using a sword. That weapon is powerful so I'd suggest keeping it hidden as a trump card."

Guy said as he avoided a powerful resonance beam. "I've used a Rapier before but It was destroyed." Sivert responded as his barrier protected him from a powerful nuclear spell.

Despite how crazy their battle was, the two were just casually talking.

"Oh really? Then I'm sure you'll like Velzard's gift." Sivert raised an eyebrow. He was confused by Guy's words.

"Gift?" he couldn't help but ask. Guy smiled while swinging his sword down on Sivert's glaive.

His sword crashed and shattered in an instant, just like the past hundred..

"Velzard's taken a.. very very abnormal liking to you, and you two seem to get along just well. So she decided to make a Mythical class sword just for you. Saying 'I think he'll look good wielding my love.''"

Sivert lowered his glaive. "Love?" Guy laughed and threw the broken sword in his hand away.

"Yeah, when you first faced her I think she got really attached. She never stops talking about you.. your abnormal and she loves it. You don't fear anything, not even death. Hell Your doing me a favor from turning her attention away from me." Guy explained. She's a good friend but she's crazy!

Sivert gulped, he remembered the battle between him and Velzard. She was super strong!

On a whole another level.

Her golden eyes glowed gold with a lust for battle in them as she enjoyed fighting Sivert.

He was truly a gift from her older brother.. at least it's how she saw it.

The Hunter managed to only get one attack on her using a combination of Spirit magic and Darkness.

It also managed to harm her which made Velzard want to have more fun with him.

Luckily Guy intervened before she could destroy the entire continent. Hell she almost destroyed the palace..

Ever since then the Icy beauty has been getting closer to Sivert, sitting next to him where ever he sat. Leaning on his shoulders or even pressing against him.

Whispering words that made his heart flutter.

The Hunter did his best to avoid getting to close with her.

She was Guy's lover or at least he thought at first until that moment on that day she revealed a lot, Sivert will never forget it. Especially those words she told him.

That day Sivert finally accepted the fact that she wanted to get closer and the two's relationship begin growing stronger ever since.

He really didn't want to get in another fight with Velzard since he got closer especially after seeing how strong she is. Sadly he had no choice as he agreed to a contract with Guy. He was to satisfy Velzard which.. he did once.

Sivert had to get stronger so he could actually face her.

Guy and Sivert floated back down to the palace, landing next to Misery and Rain. The two were pretty beaten up.. courtesy to Sivert after Guy forced the two demons to challenge him every day.

"Your defense is amazingly powerful but your offense needs some work. I know that barrier is an ultimate skill but do you have any offensive skills?" The Demon Lord asked Sivert.

The Hunter shook his head, he didn't..

The only other unique skill he had was 'Winnower's Gift.' He also had his paracausal abilities, there wasn't anything new with his Light but his Darkness.

He grew powerful in Darkness, he even found out he had his own throne world a month ago! It was large but Sivert doesn't want it bathed in Darkness..

So he stays away from it most of the time.

If anything, there was nothing to special..

"I see, but you do have a weird unique skill don't you? It's where some of those weird powers are coming from isn't it?" Guy asked again.

Sivert was surprised he knew, so he answered with a light nod.

"Well, we need to try and evolve it. Try and figure out it's nature, or I don't know. Try and earn it's favor somehow." Guy told him.

The Hunter looked down while rubbing his chin with two fingers. His eyes widened in realization..

His ultimate skill, 'Lord of Light, Gardener.' Is associated with the Light.. meaning his unique skill 'Winnower's Gift.' is associated with the Darkness!

It's no wonder why he was able to use such powerful Darkness abilities. Sivert felt like one big fool for not realizing this earlier!

"Judging by your reaction. It seems you figured something out, I'll let you focus. I hope you can keep surprising me Sivert."

Guy gave him a punch on the arm before walking away with Misery and Rain in tow.

Sivert sat down on a Ice chair and focused. Aria watched him curiously. Wondering what her amazing guardian was up to now.

'If this unique skill is associated with the Darkness then.. I might have to do something to evolve it.' he thought.

While Sivert was a warrior of the Light, he did use the Darkness from time to time. Since he knew the power was a neutral force.

It's only those who wield it with evil intentions that make it evil.

If he could use it for good like how he's been using Stasis then he'll do this crazy Stunt he has planned.

However.. he didn't know if it'd work.

"It's just one big theory." He whispered..

Sivert closed his eyes..

And he did something, never in his life he thought he'd do.

He Beckoned to the Darkness..

He Cried out for Power!

Power to destroy those who pose a threat to him!

To his very existence!

In return for that power..

He'll continue to sharpen himself.

As what seemed like a mere imaginative thought.

Sivert's wish came true..

{Confirmed, requirements to evolve Unique Skill 'Winnower's gift' has been fulfilled.}

He heard the voice of the world.

{Unique Skill Winnower's Gift has evolved into Ultimate Skill Lord of Darkness, Winnower.}

Hearing those words.. made Sivert shiver a little.

Then knowledge flooded his mind.

Knowledge of his skill!

Not only that.. but also visions.

Sivert could see a portal..

He quickly stood up from his seat, "Sivert?" Aria called his name. Noticing his shocked expression.

The Hunter summoned his glaive and grabbed it. "Sorry.." he gave Aria a small smile before teleporting away with spatial travel.

"Wait-" Aria was to late to stop him or come with him.

Light Estate, Kingdom of Ingrassia

He arrived inside his training room, Sivert held out his left hand. He closed his eyes and focused on his glaive.

The weapon was enveloped with resonance energy and it floated away from his right hand. It floated in front of him.

He held out both his hands, his left being enveloped with resonance while his right was being enveloped with stasis.

Sivert increased his focus.

He followed the visions instructions..

His glaive suddenly exploded and formed a portal..

A Portal that led to the Ascendant plane.

Sivert opened his eyes and stared at the portal for a few before slowly walking over to it.

He didn't know where it led in the Ascendant plane.. the visions didn't tell him..

It's why he didn't bring Aria with.

Before he entered, he quickly formed a powerful protective multilayered barrier around the light centered within his entire being.

Protecting it just in case.

The Hunter entered the portal and it closed behind him.

Ascendant Plane

Sivert looked around, he recognized this dark cold wasteland.

"You've answered." There was a familiar voice. He turned around, Sivert's eyes widened.

Standing a few feet away from him was a tall pale skinned humanoid being. It wore some sort of metallic robe, it constantly rippled and shifted as it moved. It left a trail of resonance energy as the being moved. However the most notable feature was the column of white smoke that is blowing from it's head. It looked as if they were many faces in the smoke..

It had large dark eyes..

Not only that, the darkness that surrounded it was no joke! It was powerful with the Darkness.

Still, Sivert kept his composure.

"You are.. the Witness." he managed to squeeze those words out, it had to be! His very presence overwhelmed Sivert a little but he still kept a calm expression. "You are correct." the Witness responded.

"We have heard your cry for power. We have answered, We hope you use this power to continue sharpening yourself. For you are the Sharpest blade we have ever seen." it lifted it's right arm and pointed at Sivert.

Before it could speak more..

"That's not the only reason you called me here. Isn't it?" Sivert spoke before it could.

The Witness eyed him. Not in anger but in satisfaction.

"Yes, we wanted to give you a throne and another reward for your victories against conquest." The Hunter decided to use this chance and used his ultimate skill and analyzed the Witness while it was talking..

The results were unbelievable..

Sivert could take the Witness down.. right here and now.

He was stronger then it.

Not only did Sivert know this. The Witness did as well.

It's why it's so pleased with Sivert's progress.

He was a sharp blade.

Sharper then itself.

It wishes to continue seeing him thrive.

"Accept your throne as the Taken King."

Sivert's eyes widened after hearing those words. They were unbelievable, just like his analyzation results.

"It is your rightful place. You have defeated Oryx and his weak spawn. Along with those who tried to take the title for their self. So allow us to give you the power to take." Sivert scoffed after hearing that.

"You think I'd use it?" he asked, he'd never take the wills of others and turn them into monsters.

"Yes. We do." The Witness quickly answered. Taken energy slowly enveloped it's right hand and shot from it. The energy latched onto Sivert before he could even avoid it.

Sivert felt power run through him! The power of the Witness! He looked down at his hands, they were enveloped with taken energy.

"You bastard.." Sivert whispered in anger as he easily took control of the new dark powers.

It was just as the Witness expected.

He will become a powerful blade.

"We suggest you make use of your throne world. It will after all, become very useful." Sivert glared angrily at the Witness, he wanted to launch himself at it and kill it.

But his instincts told him not to..

Now was not the time..

"Anything else?" Sivert asked with anger in his voice.

"Yes. Once you custom your throne world. An old foe will try and conquer you by attacking it." The Hunter stayed silent, he didn't even know if he was actually going to create one.. still. He was curious on what 'old foe' will try and conquer him.

"Who's the old foe?" Sivert asked, unable to resist asking.

"Xivu Arath." The Witness quickly answered once again. Sivert cursed the Hive God.. still he doesn't mind a fight.

Sivert stayed in the Ascendant Realm for a little longer, conversating with the Witness. It told him about it's goal to destroy the light, a goal that no longer mattered with the Light out of it's universe. Which is why it had a new goal.

To See Sivert grow stronger, to sharpen him even more.

To become something greater then Light Or Dark.

Not only that but the Witness even gave Sivert more gifts of Darkness.

Despite not him wanting to accept them.

After that Sivert left the Ascendant Plane.

And he become much more stronger with the Dark.

Continent of Eternal Ice

Aria floated around, in worry for her guardian. "?!" he suddenly reappeared in front of her.

"Sivert! Your ok!" she floated around him relief.

He chuckled, "I am. Sorry I was just.. talking with someone very dangerous." Aria floated in front of him.

"Who?- No.." she immediately realized of what or who it could it possibly be after feeling Darkness surround him at levels never before.

It was powerful.. it almost made her want to faint.

"Please don't say yes.. Oh Sivert.. My cute, adorable yet foolish Guardian. Why did you have to do this." Aria asked in sadness.

"Don't worry.. I have full control over it." he said with a smile. The Darkness around him vanished.

"But.. Darkness is evil! Why?!" She shouted at him. "It's not. It's those who wield it. Remember?" Aria's anger lessened.

She was the one who told him that after all..

Sivert began to tell her what happened the past hour. Aria had no idea how to react to this.

"You know.. your possibly the craziest guardian to ever exist." She finally spoke. Aria swore she had a massive headache..

"You told me that before when I used Stasis for the first time." Sivert answered her, still keeping the same smile.

"Alright, Alright. You promised me though that you won't change through the Darkness's influence. So I'll continue to hold it to you."

Sivert gave her a nod.

It's been 3 years since his commune with the Witness. Sivert has became more powerful ever since..

To the point where Guy was starting to fear him and his new powers.

Finally during a battle on the first year against Guy he managed to hatch his Hero's egg and acquire a new unique skill and some of his extra skills evolved as well.

There was a Unique skill he acquired from the Hero's egg was 'Absolute Severance'. A skill capable of harming True Dragons if used properly.

Sivert also managed to make use of his throne world.

And just like the Witness said, it was large.

It was flooded with Darkness but Sivert managed to cleanse it with the light and formed a beautiful garden world just for himself. The Hunter mostly used his throne world as a testing ground for new abilities and powers. He's been testing Nuclear magic in his throne world that Guy taught him such as Death Streak, Gravity Collapse and Nuclear Flame.

The Result of this testing was deadly..

These three spells were capable of destroying the Last City with just one of them. They were powerful.

However there was no attack on his throne world, but he still kept his guard up.

Sivert also hasn't done much with his taken powers besides test them on small blood thirsty monsters and create new blood thirsty monsters that he had full control over. He killed them shortly after though to put them out of their misery.

However he's also able to use in combat, there are more things it can do other than overcoming ones will.

Now that Sivert has reached the peak of Human Evolution and became a True Hero. He had a chance of defeating Velzard..

A very small one though.

So a few weeks after he became a True Hero she challenged him.

The battle was fierce and she was strong, Guy's barrier was what kept the battle from destroying half the world.

Sivert was able to take on Guy but Velzard was different, she may be on par with Guy but she had more raw power.

Something Sivert found difficult to fight against, especially her element.

He assumed it was water which she confirmed but she never told him the other one. Sivert couldn't help but wonder if it was space as she was able to slow down Sivert's speed not with just her freezing coldness but another ability he has yet to figure out.

He's developed a counter though using the Light.

With the counter in place he went all out in fighting her and though he was kind of scared of Velzard.

She was fun to fight.

Eventually he pushed her to her limits, forcing her to transform into her Dragon Form.

That gave Sivert the advantage due to her size but also allowed Velzard to release more of her power.

After days of fighting, Sivert used his unique skill Absolute Severance and the power of his spirits. He was able to land a deadly blow with his glaive, severely injuring her and defeating her.

Sivert still remembers the look she gave him when she transformed back to her human form.

He was on his knees, panting heavily. He was tired and exhausted, about to collapse and pass out.

Her diamond blue eyes did not look away from him for even one second.

She smiled..

He was an anomaly. A very beautiful one..

His soul his existence was like a drug to her..

That day she swore she would not let anyone else have him.

Sadly he left the Ice palace a week after he defeated her as she wished to spend much more time with him.

But she wasn't to bothered, she gave him a good luck kiss before he left.

It was time for him to do his job, to fulfill his end of the deal to Guy.

First he set out towards the Holy Empire of Ruberios, once he arrived there the Hunter was surprisingly invited by the Pope Emperor for dinner.

To which he accepted.

Once he arrived Sivert was attacked by two vampire brothers. The two attempted to subjugate the Hero into serving their master but he easily defeated the two.

Then she came..

It was the first True Demon Lord Sivert has seen other then Guy.

The Demon Lord Luminous Valentine. The beautiful Vampire was the true ruler of the Holy Empire of Ruberios. He found that out after defeating the Demon Lord, even with her going all out she could not win against him.

However Sivert did not kill her and instead asked why she ruled over humanity in secret.

Her answer was plain simple.

"They'd just try and overthrow me. Something like that could never go through the minds of those fools. A Demon Lord ruling over humanity. Even if I protect them in exchange for blood they'll never except it."

He couldn't help but agree with the Vampire. Humanity here is much more different then on earth. Their to arrogant.. to foolish just like she explained to him. Then again they had their reasons.

After a few more friendly conversations and meals Sivert started to become great friends with Luminous.

The Demon Lord even offered him a post as her right hand man but he kindly rejected.

Still Luminous wouldn't give up and would continue to try and bring him into her service.

He was a Trump Card.

After a few months of staying under her care Sivert promised to keep her position and defeat a secret.

Luminous was grateful and promised to keep his true strength a secret.

Now it was time for Sivert's departure, he made way for the Barren Lands but as he did he found out about a secret plot on Luminous from the Demon Lord Dagruel.

He easily defeated the Demon Lord's servants that tried to weaken Luminous's control over humanity.

His success earned him more favor from Luminous and her full trust. She was becoming very fond of him.

Sivert continued his journey to the domain of the Demon Lord Dagruel and made way through the barren lands.

The journey was hard, as the lands were uninhabitable. The land was a dangerous desert that was filled with powerful monsters and harsh weathers.

The Hunter encountered many merchants from the Dagruel's domain. They were trying to get to the human nations so they could bring food, water and other resources for their country since it was hard for their people to survive.

He immediately jumped into Hero mode and helped the many merchants through the lands to the human nations. Once they were stocked on the resources they needed Sivert escorted them through the wasteland once again to their home.

Once he arrived at the domain of the Demon Lord he met the Demon Lord himself.

However he was much more different then expected.

Dagruel was a kind Demon Lord, thanking Sivert for helping bring food to his nation.

Despite being kind, he was indeed powerful. He was a little more difficult then Luminous but Sivert still won during a friendly duel he proposed. It may have not been a serious fight but the Giant respected his strength greatly and became fond of the Hero. Dagruel's Defeat was kept a secret just like Luminous's.

Sivert also met the Demon Lord Dino. However he was to lazy to accept Sivert's challenge..

But the Hunter knew Dino wasn't weak. He was just extremely lazy..

After spending a few months in the barren lands Sivert returned to the Western Nations where he spent time with his teacher Shizue for a little.

He went back to his job soon after and made way for the Demon Lord Frey's domain. He had to cross the Jura Forest to officially get there.

As soon as he arrived, Sivert was attacked by many harpies to which he easily defeated.

His victory over the Harpies earned him the audience of Frey herself. He challenged the Demon Lord to an aerial battle which Frey accepted.

She was beaten to a pulp though in secret just like the others. Sivert didn't kill her and only thanked her for fighting him.

Frey was amazed that such a human existed. The Sky queen gave him advice on his aerial capabilities and the two became good friends.

Sivert soon learned of the monster Charybdis that terrorized her land. Her people were in distress..

So he offered to help despite Frey's attempts on saying it was suicide.

Sivert made way to the calamity class monster and easily defeated it. While also copying a few abilities from it, such as magic jamming.

However Sivert was forced to seal the monster since he couldn't fully kill it. Charybdis was a spiritual life form after all.

So Sivert sealed the monster deep inside a cave within the Jura Forest.

With him and the Dryads who he became friendly with, only knowing of its location.

After that was all dealt with Frey offered a marriage proposal and for her to become his wife to which Sivert kindly rejected. Despite being attracted to the beautiful harpy, he was currently busy.

He spent two months in her domain and even met the Demon Lord Milim. She was said to be on Guy's level.

And that information was correct.

Milim was a good and fun opponent for Sivert. Sadly the two couldn't fight fully or else they'd destroy Frey's land.

The two became great friends though, Milim respected his strength and even told him he should become a Demon Lord.

He kindly rejected the offer just like he did to Guy's.

After he was done with that Sivert made way for the beast kingdom and was immediately attacked by servants of the Demon Lord Carrion.

The Hunter defeated them and earned the Demon Lord's audience. Sadly Sivert couldn't fight the Demon Lord in secret like the previous demon Lord's due to his pride as beast master.

Not wanting to ruin Carrion's reputation among his people he didn't go all out against the Demon Lord.

Sivert faked the challenge and made it look as if he barely won against Carrion which earned him the respect of the Demon Lord and the animal Kingdom.

He spent a few months there, learning a lot about the Kingdom and it's history.

But he quickly left once he was approached by many of the beautiful women that wanted to marry Sivert due to his strength and good looks.

He made way for the Demon Lord Clayman's domain after and defeated the Demon Lord's servants.

However unlike the previous Demon Lord's, Clayman was ruthless. He threatened to kill the ones Sivert cared deeply about just for entering his land, which angered the Hunter greatly.

He beat Clayman to a pulp and weakened him greatly. Sivert quickly left the domain of the Demon Lord and returned to the Western Nations.

While Sivert may have earned an audience with every Demon Lord. He still had the Demon Lord Leon to meet but he couldn't since the Demon Lord lived on a continent across the sea.

Plus, Sivert didn't feel like fighting an Ex-Hero.

Since then Sivert has traveled through most of the world. Experiencing many things and learned many things.

After growing much stronger Guy was starting to become more wary of the Hero he created..

Sivert was at the level of a True Dragon.

Continent of Eternal Ice

He's become to strong. Guy just wanted to play with him and use him to satisfy Velzard but he never expected this..

He thought of Sivert as just a regular human only he was a little special.

He was wrong.

Despite the Hunter's Naïve personality and soft heart, Sivert was a battle-hardened warrior. He defeated Him and eventually Velzard.

He was just like that cursed World Destroying Dragon Ivarage. A unknown force that came from god knows where.

Guy even feared Sivert might become as strong as that monster.

Guy sat on his throne.. "I can't simply just kill him. Velzard would intervene.."

The Icy beauty was to attached to Sivert, getting excited just from hearing his name. Guy knew they shared a secret passionate relationship, so he knew he'd make an enemy out of her if he tried to kill Sivert.

"No.. that should work." Guy smirked after an idea came to mind. He stood up from his throne.

"It's a shame.. but I can't let you stay in this world any longer then you have." The Demon Lord sighed and raised his right hand.

He looked down at the Demon Lord ring in his hand and called his friend.

After a half an hour Sivert arrived at the palace.

His Long white cape blew with wind. He wore white and black garments similar to his teacher.

He had the sword Velzard gifted him sheathed and carried in his hand. Apparently she called it 'Frostbite.'

The blade was powerful. The blade itself was long with a black platinum color along with a golden cross guard and black handle.

In the middle of the arm guard was a blue jewel with the symbol of a dragon on it. It represented Velzard.

"Sivert, thanks for answering my summons." Guy greeted the Hero. Sivert only nodded.

"What'd you call me here for?" He asked the Demon Lord with an annoyed expression. Guy smiled. "Still cold to me as always. It's no wonder Velzard loves you. You two have so much in common." He joked.

Sivert rolled his eyes. He just hoped Guy could get this over with so he could see her..

It's been a while.

"I was hoping you could eliminate someone for me. He poses a threat to this world." That immediately caught Sivert's attention.

"He's from another world that resides on top of the Spiritual world." Guy placed his hands on his hips and told the Hunter.

"Alright then.." Sivert agreed. Guy didn't have much information about the person who posed a threat but Sivert would still go. After all, it wouldn't be his first mission to go and destroy someone with little information about them.

"Once I do this our contract is over right?" Sivert asked the Demon Lord, it's been two years and Sivert fulfilled his end.

"Yup. Do this and I'll leave you alone." Guy said with the same smile..

That's all the Hunter wanted to hear.

Sivert was led to the bottom of the Ice palace by Guy, Rain and Misery followed.

Guy had Rain and Misery chant magic which made Sivert surprised. He always thought Demons didn't have to chant due to their expertise in magic. "Were just opening the Gate. Once you kill him let me know and I'll open it back up." Guy told him.

Sivert became a little suspicious but still went with it. After the two demons finished chanting a black portal opened. "Good luck." Guy gave him a thumbs up.

The Hunter made no movement..

Simply staring at the portal.

His instincts were telling him not to go.

Sivert fixed a small glance at Guy. The Demon Lord was standing there, giving me his usual smile..

No..

Sivert knew just from looking Guy in the eye. This was a trap!

And this was immediately confirmed as he barely avoided a fast punch meant to send him flying into the portal.

Sivert quickly drew his sword covered it with Light magic with the help of his Greater Spirit.

"Should've known.." He whispered.

Guy clicked his tongue in frustration.

He needed to get rid of him fast or else Velzard will sense the battle down here.

The Demon Lord summoned a sword and lunged at Sivert, the two began exchanging sword blows.

Their swords clashing caused shockwaves which even kept Misery and Rain at bay. If they got involved they'd just get destroyed from the force of their attacks!

Sivert looked Guy in the eye as he clashed his sword with his.

"Nothing personal Sivert but you don't belong in this world. Your a walking anomaly and I can't let you remain here." Guy told him.

The Demon Lord didn't admit it but he did love the Hunter. Not romantically at least, just as a friend. Though if Sivert wanted..

Guy would totally let Sivert have a nice time with him.

Sadly Velzard took him from him before Guy could continue to move on Sivert.

"Shame .. I wish we could've had a nice night together before this happened." Guy teased before increasing his strength and forcing Sivert onto one knee.

The Hunter pushed Guy back with all of his strength and jumped back to get some distance.

"Crap..."

Sivert was cornered.

Misery on his right and Rain on his left with Guy at the center.

Behind him was the portal they opened, It led to some place sinister, he could sense it.

Sivert could take on the two Primordial's but with Guy assisting them there was no chance.

"Just go in the portal Sivert.." Guy said before lunging at him once again.

Sivert raised his sword, blocking the heavy attack. Guy quickly pulled back and attacked again.

The Hunter quickly caught and blocked with his sword.

He knew Guy's sword skills.

In Fact.

Sivert knew everything about Guy..

Sivert's sword clashed with Guy's once again. Quick strikes and really lethal if they were to make contact with each other's bodies.

The Hunter jumped back once he pushed Guy back once again however the Demon Lord lunged at him again.

Sivert noticed something off during this..

Guy was playing really offensive which is something Sivert's never saw before.

"Ah.."

The Hunter realized why.

Guy wanted to get rid of him quickly or else Velzard would get involved.

Sivert smirked, he could use this to his advantage. "Oh please come..."

He whispered, the Icy beauty appearing in his mind.

"The Hell you smirking for?" Guy asked with a little anger.

Sivert didn't respond. He kept eye contact with Guy..

Seeing no response escaping his mouth, Guy quickly lunged at him once again this time adding more power to the strike.

Sivert closed his eyes and let the Light guide him.

Sivert opened his eyes, raised his sword just slightly above his head and moved forward.

Guy's sword came in contact but didn't clash instead dragged across the Hunter's sword and off it as Guy continued to keep pushing his sword against it. This action left him vulnerable.

Sivert quickly turned around drove his sword into Guy's stomach.

It was fast..

The Demon Lord's eyes widened in shock.

He had no idea what just happened!

Sivert let go of his sword and turned around, He would use this chance while Guy is immobile. He quickly summoned his glaive and brought it down with all his strength onto his head.

Guy managed to avoid getting struck in the head but his right shoulder and caught in the glaive's path.

Sivert used all of his strength and tore off Guy's right arm.

"Lord Guy!" Rain and Misery jumped in, forcing Sivert to quickly pull out his sword and jump back.

His Glaive slowly disappeared and he raised his sword. Preparing to defend against them.

Guy burst into laughter.

"Oh this is why your amazing Sivert. Always performing the impossible and unimaginable. It's also why I can't let you stay here." Guy said while holding his left hand onto his stomach.

That was a killing blow but he barely survived..

Sivert remained silent, focusing on Rain and Misery.

Rain charged towards him first avoiding his sword while trying to land blows on him with her hands.

Misery joined in.

They couldn't kill him..

But they could distract him and it was doing well.

Sivert was focused on them.

Until he saw her..

Velzard stood there right by the doors Sivert came through with Guy and the other two..

She didn't move a single muscle and only stared..

"Velzard!" He called her name.

She did not move but instead looked away.

Sivert's heart shattered in that moment..

"Gotcha!"

His eyes widened and it felt like time stopped.

He looked at the fist in front of his face.

Sivert couldn't move..

Then time resumed, he was struck in the face by Guy and sent flying into the portal.

"Close it." Guy ordered to which Rain and Misery both obeyed.

The Demon Lord clenched his teeth in frustration, looking down at his decapitated arm. He picked it up and reattached it while also healing the injury.

It left a nasty scar on his body, same with the injury on his stomach.

Guy hid the scars on his stomach and shoulder.

"Hehehehe.."

Guy loved that pain.

It made him feel alive.

Sadly the one who caused it will no longer exist.

"It really is a shame." Guy whispered..

Doing this just gave Guy another problem.

"Now.."

Guy turned around, spotting Velzard staring at him.

"I hope your happy.."

She gave him an angry glare.

"I thought you'd help him.." Guy replied, preparing to fight just in case she attacked.

"No. I knew what your intentions were, I knew you were paranoid by his quick and large growth in power. I'm only allowing this because it was your job given by Brother Veldanava's."

Velzard was so close to flying into a murderous rage right now...

But she didn't. Guy was to protect this world and to maintain a balance of power. That was the task her older brother gave him.

Ridding Sivert was a task he needed to do.

"Glad you understand.." Guy lowered his guard.

"Do not expect help from me.. do not expect anything from me from now on." Velzard turned around and walked away.

Guy sighed..

Well that's better then her going mad and destroying the world.

The Underworld

Sivert looked around in horror, it was hell itself! There was no doubt about it! He was in a wasteland piled with bodies..

This place felt out of balance. This wasn't even a full world, it was another dimension.

"!" Aria suddenly materialized next to him and fell down on the ground.

"I- my light!" she screamed in pain. Sivert crouched down and picked his companion up. Her shell was melting!

"Aria?!" he called her name. There was no response, her blue eye slowly faded and her core turned dark.

"No.. no! Please.. No!" Sivert shouted in distress as he held onto her shell that melted within his hands. Then he started feeling pain! It burned! The intense magicules surrounding the area was to much for him to bear!

Sivert tried to purify the magicules but it didn't work!

He fell down on his stomach and reached out his right hand. It was enveloped with arc light and he formed a portal.

A portal to his Throne World.

Sivert slowly crawled over to the portal to escape this hell!

Sadly he was losing strength! His vision turned black and he fell unconscious.
